Dubai: From Desert Jewel to Ultra Modern Metropolis

Currently apartment hunting in Vancouver bc, found a 1b1b on och101.com that’s quite cheap in comparison (about 400 CAD a month cheaper than average around the area).
Sent a message through website and got email response. Real address, video of virtual tour matches the building in the address, however, the listing on the website have only one picture and does not match the video.
Landlord asks for a deposit (300 CAD) to “hold my spot”, about half the rental deposit, if I sent they will take down the ad. When I ask for a in-person tour, they asked that I must be presented with the receipt for the 300 CAD deposit. They also sent a “application form”, but it just doesn’t look professional to me; has state for address instead of province (I’m new to Canada, IDK if that’s normal).
I feel like there are some suspicions but can’t confirm, any advice is appreciated!

Hey everyone! It's always been an absolute bucket list item of mine to visit Faroe Island to explore and hike, and I have the opportunity to come in July. The only thing is I'm traveling solo, and wondering if it's a complete no-no to hike as a solo female in Faroe because of the terrain and weather? I'm relatively experienced, regularly hike solo in the Australian bush, multi-day hikes carrying tents etc. I'd look to hire a car, but a lot of the day hike tours I've seen (from a quick search, admittedly) look quite expensive so I'd rather just do it on my own... without risking my own demise.

Hello! I will have 4 short nights in Mallorca this September. We are staying off the beaten path in Cala Sant Vicenc instead of Palma. I want to drink wine, eat amazing food, do 1-2 hikes, go to the beach, and relax. Any suggestions on places for wineries, bars, hikes, and restaurants appreciated. Prefer not touristy, if that’s such a thing.
Also wondering if I should rent a car to get around the island. We are fine staying nearby the hotel if there’s plenty to see and do, or arrange for a few tour drivers. Seems like a mixed bag!

I'll start with our trip. Might help get a feel for what we like.
We flew into Kuala Lumpur spent 4 nights in klcc. Amazing city spent alot of time exploring. We went to the batu caves we enjoyed seeing the monkeys but kept our distance as they were fighting and chasing each other (we like viewing temples but we dont enter we are not religious), klcc shopping centre, petaling Street enjoyed bargaining, alor food street was good, hotel had great view of towers so we didn't go inside them, we did a city lights tour that went to the kl Tower and the Palace. Enjoyed food at little india, walked in perdana botanical Park for hours and enjoyed the birdpark. Visited taman connaught night market.
Travelled by bus to: Cameron Highlands.
Cameron highlands 2 nights We loved the rural aspect of it we enjoyed the plantations and did a tour that included the board walk over looking mossy forest. Scenery was breath taking. We got great photos. Enjoyed tea, cake and seeing the surrounding area.
Travelled by bus to Georgetown.
Georgetown for 3 nights (didn't like it as much as I taught) Taught we would like the food but we aren't as adventurous as we taught we were (yet) so we played it safe. Found it hard to get around with traffic being fairly heavy but we managed and made our time enjoyable by the end. Visited penang hill for a couple hours, some light shopping, looked for artwork and enjoyed walking around the jettys. We went to restaurants for food here only got deserts (cendal, abc, cakes, Indian sweets etc) at the street markets.
Travelled by Plane to langkawi.
4 nights in langkawi stayed on 5 star resort my wife wanted to finish the holiday in a laid back area we could relax and take a break before going back home. We both loved it there we had leaf monkeys on the chalet balcony every morning and afternoon. Did the cable car, skybridge, oriental village, mangroves, kuah night market, went to the Eagle but it was closed. Cenang beach watched a fire show, visited telaga tujuh waterfall and laid on the resort private beach.
Travelled by Plane to KL for the day then flew home. West Europe.
Tldr: travelled malaysia went to big city, rural, smaller city, island. Looking for recommendations something similar thailand.
Sorry for the long post just giving a list of what we did to give an idea what we like.
Looking for a mix of city life, amazing scenery, enjoy rural, wildlife and nature, not big on temples but will visit if its interesting to see, still looking to try good food and beaches are good too. Not looking for what to do just places that make sense starting in Bangkok flying out from bangkok..

I learned that Kylea Gomez glorifies disordered eating in the name of Jesus for monetary gain. She ate 1/4 to 1/5 of her allotted WW points most days of this cruise via photo evidence and posts. I learned she is a vain, narcissist, who I believe is mentally ill, and will exploit anything and everything to live a frivolous lifestyle. She is not budget-wise, financially savvy, and should pay her debt(s). She has NO business offering any form of budgeting or financial advice.
In general, I am frustrated with social media influencers and paid content creators who REFUSE to disclose how, when, and why they are paid. Your "followers" should know the details of your social media income from the platforms and companies you work with so we can make an informed decision on how we spend our time and money. There is a fine line between advocacy/education/influence and dishonesty/hypocrisy/lack of transparency and accountability.

Hi all! I am going to Sicily for 5 weeks in June/July as a solo female traveler. I am planning to stay in Palermo for the first three weeks and travel the rest of the island for the last two weeks. I have projects to work on the first three weeks so I will only have the weekends open for day trips or excursions.
I will not be renting a car and wanted feedback on my itinerary. I will be flying in and out of Palermo airport.

• 3 weeks in Palermo and surrounding areas.
  • This includes day trips to Cefalú or nearby beach towns.
• Train to Taormina: spend 3-4 days here.
  • Guided Mt.Etna tour, local town, lots of walking to explore the city here.
• Train to Catania: spend 3-4 days here.
  • Explore the local city, maybe take a guided tour to an area that is not accessible by public transportation.
• Train to Syracuse: spend 2-3 days here.
  • Hire a car to go to Noto, Ortigia, and walk around the main parts of the city.
• Train to Agrigento: spend 1-2 days here.
  • Valley of Temples, no other plans so far.
• Train back to Palermo for the last day.
  • Train to the airport and fly out.

I'd also love to stay at a farm Airbnb somewhere between Catania and Taormina. Are the cities that are further away accessible by train/bus or should I hire a car for that? Would love any insight or advice!
