And I know the sun will rise with me (huh) And I know the sun will rise with me (huh) And I know the sun will rise with me (huh) And I know the sun will rise with me All we wanted was an opportunity (Just Blaze) Lord knows
It's your worst nightmare, it's my first night here And this girl right here, who knows what she knows? So I'm going through her phone if she go to the bathroom And her purse right there, I don't trust these hoes at all But that's just the result of me paying attention To all these women that think like men with the same intentions Talking strippers and models that try to gain attention Even a couple pornstars that I'm ashamed to mention But Weezy and Stunna my only role models Haffa and Jordan my only role models That's why I walk around with all this gold on And every time I run into these niggas, they want no problems Bottom sixes and chains, and some bracelets and rings All of the little accents that make me a king I never hear the disses they try and point out to me But it's whatever if somebody won't make it a thing I'm more concerned with niggas thinkin' 'bout Christmas in August Do anything to buy gifts for they daughters Get some shake, a brick in the press And chef it like Mrs. Fields; they're making the cookie stretch I know it so well, I know the hustle so well Stunt like I'm working overnighters right by the motel Drug money outfit, record clean Spend it all on me and my fuckin' team Matchin' Rollies for real, matchin' Rovers for real (woo) Places they say they've been, we actually going for real (woo) I'm really killin' shit, fuck all the jiggy rapping (woo) I'm going trigger happy just to see my niggas happy (woo) Mixtape legend, underground kings Lookin' for the right way to do the wrong things (huh) With my new bitch that's living in Palm Springs Young ass nigga, lifelong dreams They take the greats from the past and compare us I wonder if they'd ever survive in this era In a time where it's recreation To pull all your skeletons out the closet like Halloween decorations I know of all the things that I hear they be poking fun at Never the flow though, they know I run that Fuck you all, I claim that whenever I changed rap forever, the game back together, yeah YM, I remain that forever In the same place my brother Wayne at forever I'm a descendant of either Marley or Hendrix I haven't figured it out 'cause my story is far from finished I'm hearing all of the jokes, I know that they tryna push me I know that showin' emotion don't ever mean I'm a pussy Know that I don't make music for niggas who don't get pussy So those are the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me Lord knows, Lord knows, I'm heavy, I got my weight up Roberson boost your rate up, it's time that somebody paid up A lot of niggas came up off of a style that I made up But if all I hear is me, then who should I be afraid of? I’ll start this with a huge apology. It was never my intention to take so long on my break or to post a thank you for all the amazing mail you’ve been sending. A few months were super… not stellar, and I just kind of wanted to hide under a rock so I wouldn’t bother anyone until I could feel a bit more like myself, and with all of that, you guys have just been the sweetest. I got so many sweet messages checking in and felt so loved despite the fact that it’s taken me half a year to get back on here. Thanks for all your patience with me. You guys are the absolute greatest! <3
An additional thanks to u/pinkpengin for sending a card basically inviting me to come back to the cool kid’s table to play this week! :D
Allsssooo also, I wrote half of these in January if any of them are odd, and I’ve also not detailed the cards that have been sent to family members as I didn’t read them myself, just added them on my count here, and sorry if the formatting is a bit wonky. I'm copying this from a document, so I might edit if it's terrible.
To start, I received a fun Meet-Up card from some now irl friends on here! Thank you guys! I really wish I could have made it to this one:
u/lonelytwatwaffle (x3)
u/Jane_Q
u/JaimeKJ
u/kittycatcon
u/babyraspberry (x6), You sent such happy mail with your world postcard day envelope! I love the picture of a beach in Portugal. It makes me want to take a vacay ASAP! I also loved the fun little fact you put about the Peach Springs, AZ USPS! So cool! You also included cute star cut-outs, a little packet of stickers, and washi on what looks like a fun space cat playing card! I’m seriously giddy to get to the pic!
Thank you so much for the sweet hot cocoa and New Year’s card you sent! You also included a pretty saguaro cactus card and lovely pastry scrapbook paper, because you’re so thoughtful like that! I love how pretty every single envelope and card is that you send! I’m also excited to hear that you’re getting settled into the new(er) place a bit more! I hope you had a great time with the family visits!
Oh, my goodness, the wintery cards you sent my way were just stunning! I really liked hearing about your walk on the frozen lake and what an adorable “Cake of Friendship” recipe! The stamp stickers are always just the perfect colotheme, too! It always gives me heart eyes!
u/bluedecemberart (x5), Your Halloween card was adorable! You made it even cuter with the stickers. You mentioned “catching up on mail someday”........... Lol! You sent me about 50 cards to my…. ahem… completely non-existent ones. You’re a treasure, friend!
Thank you so much for my massive care packet of cards in an envelope that was just the cutest, with cats and Totoro stickers! It was beautiful! Every single bit in the envelope was so thoughtful!
You sent a “You’ve Got Mail” postcard, which reminds me… I should rewatch that movie someday so u/comingtogetyoubabs can stop laughing at the fact that I mix up all the Meg Ryan/Billy Crystal movies. I can’t be the only one… or maybe I am?!
You also sent the cutest envelope and added little address cardstock labels to add some zest to my envelopes along with so many cute stickers of cats, dogs, and squirrels! So sweet! I really loved the “Support Your Local Librarians” sticker! We are so lucky to live close to a very nice library with super active librarians who really care about the community, and it breaks my heart that they’re being given extra nonsense to add to their worries right now. :(
I especially love the card that has “You can do anything! Just not Everything” on the front. What a perfect reminder. You are so caring and thoughtful, and I’m so thankful for you!
u/comingtogetyoubabs (x5) How do you always find the perfect cards and things to say?! I love the whole envelope filled with citrus-themed cards, stickers, washi, all of it! Your puns were cracking me up! You even made the address label with little lemons! Super cute!
Then you also sent cards that were bee-related and stickers galore! I’m pretty sure that’s the first cat bee return label I saw in-person! They are adorable!
You sent a fun fall card with such pretty watercolor animals on it! The little hedgie sticker matches perfectly! It’s giving me heart eyes! Thank you, m’dear!
u/constructionlower549 (x7) Ugh, your holiday postcards are always so cute! I love the pic with you and the pupper (both smiling) on the front! It’s seriously so sweet and happy! I also loved the sweet card you sent with the New Year’s plans/updates. It’s seriously been entirely too long since I’ve sent an update! I definitely agree… Christmas is a bit overwhelming for me every year, tbh. I always look forward to the New Year knowing that we’ve made it through another hectic season of cooking/visits/everything! XD I always feel like I drop so many balls and last year was one of the biggest times I’ve done that. I didn’t even send holiday cards last year. :/
What a cool Starbucks postcard! I had no idea they even had postcards, but I love the gold and white on this one! The sparkly purple pen you used on it is just chef’s kiss perfection! Thank you!
I loved hearing about your bday trip! It sounds like such a fun adventure! I know you mentioned you did a lot of HUGE things, but I saw, “hung out by the pool,” and for some reason that part was the bit that I was like, “WHOA! WHAT?! IN FEB?! …living her best life by going somewhere beautiful!” XD
Then I got the most cards (I really, really love the hydrangea ones) with backstories from some of the postcards you sent! <3 I loved hearing about your dog-sitting adventure! Ugh, I need to send you a recipe for ice cream when you’re there next time! It’s blueberry pie-flavored, and it’s basically the only one I make in the summers, though I haven’t made it for a few summers now. I was laughing at the “behind-the-scenes” stories from your trips! It’s so funny catching up with people from school, especially when they’ve become parents! It almost feels like a secret club sometimes, knowing things about them but only discussing it in front of kids basically in code language! XD Oh! You asked at the end… I think the postcard lady would definitely be the highest contender for my demise! Lol! I’d totally take an entire litter of rabid cats over her! :D
u/cswl (x6), Thank you for the lovely Halloween card with the glittery witch skirt and the little cat on a walk! So cute! Our cat actually loves taking walks on his harness, but it’s been too cold to go out with him recently, and our old sweet old man of a dog thinks it’s a bit of a pain to go out on big walks now too. Can’t wait for spring! (I wrote this part of your thank-you in January! Spring has been nice indeed!)
The school supply postcard is so cute! I love LouPaper designs and the little rounded edges! The bright rainbow colors on it is just so happy! <3
Such a great “M” card made out of mustaches, too! Very cool design!
What a cool Veteran’s Day card you sent my way! I haven’t seen very many for the holiday, so it was super fun to get one! Thank you!
I also liked your secret “Walt Whitman” card. I have been wondering how work has been going for you. I have done some “extra” work tidying myself at old jobs when I’ve been feeling less than good about them myself.
It was also fun hearing about the 2 festivals in one weekend… was super happy you didn’t have to cook that weekend! That’s kind of a mini-vacation in itself!
u/DoraDoodle (x4), You sent such a pretty Halloween card as well as such adorable cats in costume stickers! They were so sweet! You even finished off the card with a tiny skull and crossbones stamp on the back. Your attention to detail makes everything so perfect! I always love seeing how you perfectly coordinate the papers to make such nice designs!
We all loved your gorgeous handmade Christmas card! It was displayed with the ones we received from family! I definitely missed out on the fun and didn’t send a single holiday card last year. :(
Oh, my goodness, I loved getting your beautiful watercolor card from your trip. That is actually one of our family’s bucket list places! Were you able to catch the Northern Lights while there? I hope you were treated with a lovely view!
u/ez330 (x4), I loved the colorful tulip card you sent and hearing about what had been happening with you. Thank you for checking in with me! You also included such sweet stickers, one of a corgi cupcake that I absolutely adore! Our dog is red with the cute Dorito ears like a corgi, so I’m a little partial to those types of breeds because of him! <3
Oh, my goodness, how was your trip to the National Postal Museum?! My grandma was a retired postmaster, and I think she would’ve loved traveling there! I hope you had the best time!
I loved getting your sweet flower heart postcard too! Thank you so much for caring and sending notes my way. You’re so thoughtful!
What a gorgeous handmade Valentine’s Day card! The light aqua blue with red were actually my wedding colors, so every time I see them together, it just makes me smile! Thank you for thinking of me! It made my day!
u/isar-love, I loved your dragonfly postcard! I love learning differences in language and I really think “dragonfly” is much prettier in yours! My son has a book about bugs from close-up views, and the dragonfly picture is on the cover! I always thought that photograph was especially pretty! He’s terrified of bugs now, unfortunately, but every time I see a dragonfly now, I think of when he first asked if they were actual dragons as a preschooler, and I thought it was just so cute!
u/Jdoodle7 (x4) Thank you so much for sending such sweet cards my way to check on me! My birthday card was just so pretty, and I really like how you did the washi on a diagonal. It really set off the envelope! You even have birthday return address labels, and I just absolutely adore them!
I have out another card you sent recently, the one mentioning Monty Python! Oh, my word! I am so excited to meet someone who gets my references now! :D Poor E, I had to introduce him to it years ago when he mentioned he’d never seen it (can you believe it?!), but now he grudgingly chuckles or rolls his eyes when I quote it in passing!
u/jvanct88, Thank you so much for the super pretty I’m thinking of you card with a holo cat silhouette! I loved getting the life updates! Just so you know, I can’t use the tea you sent because the little packets are so cute! Oh, they’re in with my tea, yes, but only for showing off the cute designs on display! :) Thank you! <3
u/korewrites (x2), thank you for the postcards you’ve been sending my way! I liked hearing about your travels to visit friends. The place you went in January sounds particularly exciting! I hope you had the best time catching up with them!
u/libertyprogrammer, thank you for the lovely card with the super fun stamps on them! What a good idea to send it before the price increased (again), too! The stickers match the pretty dusty rose color of the envelope and I love how you made the card inside with such cute Snoopy washi! It is so good hearing from you! Oh, I might have mentioned in the last post, but I have finished all of your book recs, and I was absolutely blown away by one series in particular! Kind of bouncing up and down over the fact that a certain author has new author pics!!! Did you see?! I know everyone online is saying not to get our hopes up, so OF COURSE MY HOPES ARE SKY HIGH that we get a new book ASAP! :D I can’t believe there are some people who have been waiting for decades when I’ve only been excited for a few months!
u/LeeElla, thank you for the sweet card with the cherry blossoms and cute washi and stickers! I loved getting to hear about your travels. I feel like my family and I will start doing a small bit more of that this year finally, and I love hearing where others have been!
Also, your writing is lovely!
u/lonelytwatwaffle, I loved hearing about your beach trip! What a nice getaway! My family took trips there when I was little. I think it was maybe the first time I saw the ocean! It sounded like such a nice, relaxing time! I hope you had a blast!
u/mikepenpal6 (x5) I loved your purple Halloween card with the pumpkin and owl! What pretty scrapbook paper in the background, too! You always find the most festive and adorable carding supplies!
What a gorgeous handmade Christmas card! I love how glitzy it is with the little rhinestones and all the cute stickers and washi you used! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Ooh, I loved hearing about the concert you saw! That would’ve been so incredible! I’m super jealous and also really excited that you could go! I saw that one of my faves is going to be about 2 hours away from me very soon, so I went on the ticket site to buy them. E said that I definitely should, but I told him, “Meh, it’d be way past my bedtime.” lol I’m such an old lady now.
Your handmade Valentine’s Day card was absolutely stunning! I always love seeing the cute little gemstone stickers ppl use! I actually didn’t do a ton for this Valentine’s Day. I usually bake for our littles, make them a heart-shaped pizza for dinner, and cook something for E that he likes, but this year, our tiniest got covid (on my birthday! boo!), so we were all sick by Valentine’s Day, and we basically stayed at the house for the rest of the month to make sure we didn’t spread the joy to anyone else. Yuck! I really am glad you were able to do fun things and enjoy the weather with the family!
u/mlks00 (x2), Thank you so much for the sweet Christmas card you sent to the fam and me, especially with the handmade snowflake! How cool! I feel like I haven’t done those in too long. Have you seen the ones you can print online with Star Wars characters snuck into the designs?! They look so cute!
I always love getting your check-ins and updates! I really like this “hello” card stationery too! How classy! I hope you’re doing well, friend!
u/monetmonkey- Oh, what an adorable avocado holiday card! Thank you! Not only that, but you included such cute stickers with a sweet fox and snowy day scene! I loved all of it as well as how you decorated the inside of the card with the diagonal washi. Such a cool effect!
Of course I loved the fun stamps, especially the Maine Coon one! Our kitkat isn’t quite as massive as that, but he’s close, at over 7.5 kg/17ish lbs!
Loved the way you addressed the envelope vertically, too! It really made it stand out!
u/mydinosaurdidit (x8) You sent such happy mail to me last FALL (it’s been way too long since I’ve been here), and it was just so touching that you thought of me for it. It’s beautiful, thoughtful, and I was so taken aback at your generosity! Know that I have it set out for my next project now! I’ve been waiting to make something with it for the summer, and I’m so excited! I’ll send pics when I get it finished! I’ve had a pattern I’ve been wanting to make, but I’ve not had the right materials…until now, and the fact that it’s sentimental is just the cherry on top!
Oh, you gave me ideas for my bullet journal by sending me a sample-type page, and I really like how you have it set up! I’ve been book journaling a bit more lately and still use a bullet journal for my busier months, but I’ve been converting most of the dates to a wall calendar and still using a bullet-style on there for the tasks. It’s so helpful!
What a pretty holiday card you sent with tea and everything! I loved the adorable little paper stars to match the color of the font, and the message made me laugh!
I got the sweetest check-in card from you, typed and everything. It made me a bit teary-eyed. You even included journaling pages and stickers. You are so thoughtful, friend. A few months there were super not super, and I just kind of wanted to hide, and there you were telling me it was okay to just exist. You’re an absolute treasure. <3
Then you sent a kitty postcard with “You’re alive!” on it, and I burst out into laughter! It made me think of Schrödinger's cat, and it just made me ridiculously happy on top of it just being so freakin’ adorable! Thank you, friend!
Such a cool state card you sent! I like the ones with the different flowers/flags/birds on them to see how many I remember from my fourth grade class! :D We visited our state capitol building (where I lived growing up) during school, and the only part I remember was being so nervous that I’d be too loud walking around the halls with the echo-y marble floors… and then I suddenly stopped fretting over that when I realized how slippery the stone made the stairs and imagined falling down them making way more noise than walking funny ever would. XD I was a nervous child… glad I’m not anymore….ummm :D
Thank you for the sweet birthday wishes as well! You handmade a gorgeous pop-up card with a rainbow quilt, and it just blew me away!
The second (!) kitty postcard you made with all the rainbow writing/washi/stickers was just so happy! It made me smile!
u/onelittlericeball (x4), thank you so much for the gorgeous cards you send! I always love seeing your handwriting and the pretty washi/sticker combos you use!
I really liked getting updates on things that have been going on with you lately. It's so nice hearing from you, and I have your latest in my "reply ASAP" stack now!
u/pinkpengin (x7) The fam loved our cute black cat purpley Halloween card! The Halloween donut washi you have is top notch!
Your Jane Goodall Institute card is so cool! She’s one of my heroes (as are you, of course)! I actually bought this little amigurumi book where you could make little feminist icons, mostly because one of the characters is her! I digress… Okay, so as of that card, you had 22 kitters… have there been any more foster fails since then (bc I can absolutely say I’d be such an enabler about that! I nearly got another one myself last month)?
Oh, what a cute little fox riding a bike! I think these notecards are just adorable! You absolutely did not need to write a thank-you, but of course you’re just super sweet and thoughtful like that, and it made me smile! :)
Your sweet holiday card was displayed with the family cards we received this year, and it was so cute! Thank you! We all really enjoyed it. Maybe I’ll get my act together by winter and send some myself this year?! Here’s to hoping!
You also sent such a sweet Valentine with two additional mini cards inside! You are so thoughtful. The envelope was so pretty with how you decorated it! I think Valentine’s Day might be my favorite holiday… I don’t really do anything to celebrate other than baking, but I think that’s maybe why I like it! It’s low stakes! :D
You also sent an extra special holiday card VERY recently… but I’ll be commenting on that one elsewhere. ;)
u/TigerLady13 (x4), I really loved the Christmas card you sent! The stamps were so cute on the envelope, and the Santa in the woods feeding apples to the horses were so just so pretty! Thank you so much!
You have been sending such sweet cards my way! Thank you! My birthday cards were so super sweet. Both were decked out with the cutest washi and stickers galore! You are so very thoughtful! I really like the envelopes! They both had ribbon streamers on the insides of them! How festive!
u/travel4me22, thank you for the fun Blue Ridge Parkway postcard saying hello and checking in! That was so thoughtful! I hope your year has been great so far!
u/umeshufan (x14!) Your pop-up llama card (so cute!) along with an additional note was so cute to get! I really liked the signatures that you and a family member added to it! It was from 15 Nov, so I had the biggest smile reading about a recent event that happened there! <3
The Christmas card you sent made me laugh! I’ve seen shirts with that sentiment on motorcycle drivers, and to see it on the back of a reindeer was just the absolute best! XD You find the most hilarious cards! I definitely need to up my card game!
Thank you so much for the beautiful cards from all your travels over the past 6 months as well as sending notes to other family members! You have been to so many places already this year, and it’s always fun getting to live vicariously through your descriptions of each place!
The NZ sheep postcard is adorable with the little sheep, and I loved hearing about each stop along the way. The “Where’s Wally/Waldo?” one is extra cool! Thank you for sharing it with us! You’re always so thoughtful!
Oh! One of the cards you sent from NZ had another person added to the card, and I don’t know if I’m mentioned, but I think their handwriting is just beautiful! I especially like their A’s! That was so sweet hearing from them as well!
During one of your trips, you were in the same time zone as I was, and I was so excited to get FOUR cards from there! It was so fun getting cards that arrived so very quickly! I always love seeing The Snooty Bookshop cards! They’re hilarious!
You also sent 6 cards just last month, completely putting me to shame! I have them out for a reply just as soon as I pick up some different cards from the store. I think part of my extra long hiatus has made me not want to dig out the perfectly fine old cards I had but start fresh… capitalism at its finest, I suppose… :/
Thank you for sending so many cards to the family over the past half year as well. Your cards always brighten our day! You’ll be getting some replies from E soon, too. He’s not been on RAoC recently either, so I’m adding some of his on my post for him.

2024.04.29 18:11 xIslaCrucesx In search of strips about Libraries!

Hey all, I’m a middle school librarian who loves peanuts. I have a Jack-o-lantern snoopy I bring out at Halloween that dances and my kids LOVE it.
For the end of the school year, I’m making a “yearbook” for my book club students and I wanted to include a page with peanuts strips referencing libraries. Share/link me to your favorites!
Thanks!

2024.04.29 17:03 wyjif2 Ideas for fanfictions I have but will never do because i'm too busy

Idea 1
Nicole and Jecka never become friends. They become enemies instead.
First day of school, Junior year, Nicole becomes "friends" with Jeffery. (To bully him, of course. You played the game.)
Nicole and Jecka start to hit it off (because duh, of course the two hottest bitches in school have to become friends!) until Jeffery comes along and acts buddy buddy with Nicole. Jecka sees this and becomes disgusted, ditching Nicole, assuming she is just some loser who likes anime.
But when Nicole comes up to talk to Jecka the next day, for whatever reason, she still gets ignored. Nicole writes it off like "Fucking preppy bitch, didn't want to be her friend anyway."
She skips lunch in the restroom, because sitting alone at lunch is for bitches with acne.
But when she comes in there, Jecka's there. And she's with some of her popular skank friends. (Emily, Kelly, Ari, even fucking megan.)(Nicole thinks they're all friends but really everyone is in there just to buy Adderall from Emily)
And when Nicole comes in there, she tries to make friends with the hot bitches. (Because duhh, Nicole is a hot bitch and she has to be friends with hot bitches.) but then. Jecka shuts her down.
"Sorry freak. We're skipping lunch in the bathroom to do drugs. You're doing it because you have no one to sit with. Go away. Maybe your boyfriend jeffery will share his tuna with you."
Everyone laughs.
Nicole. Is getting... Bullied?
This won't fly.
And the rest of the fic is going to be Nicole elaborately plotting her revenge on jecka, and Jecka also retaliating. In a rapidly escalating series of pissing contests. I think Emily will end up as Nicole's bestie, and of course they make each other worse. I think i want this to turn into a toxic yuri thing where Nicole is lowkey obsessed with her "hatred" for jecka. (because who doesn't want to ruin the life of the hot bitch who bullies you?" At best they'll just end up angrily making out at a party and at worse kill they'll actually kill eachother.
Idea 2
A fic from the perspective of Nicole's mom. It starts off with the suicide ending. Nicole's mom bursts into Nicole's room, expecting Nicole to just be listing to MSI and reading a magazine or something. Instead she finds Nicole hanging from the ceiling. A suicide note on her computer screen. Everything goes black.
The next day she wakes up. She remembers everything. She has a panic attack in her bed. She runs into nicoles room to see nothing. It's a mess.
Maybe it was a bad dream? She frantically runs to the kitchen to see nicole sitting there. She practically tackles her into a hug and cries hysterically over her shoulder.
Nicole is mildly annoyed by this.
Nicole's mom drives her to school. Nicole is like "I am not going to be the bitch who'se mommy still drives her to school. Hell no. I'm getting a ride from jecka."
And nicole's mom practically begs her, even bribing her with mcdonald's breakfast. Nicole thinks "why the fuck is my mom being so nice? is she finally trying to make up for the past 17 years of being the worst mom on planet earth" (she is.)
Later on in the day, after some early morning wine and shitty daytime television, she flips the channel to see the news.
A shooting.
At Nicole's school.
She hops in her car and speeds down the highway.
She arrives at the school to see police and news cameras and ambulances and a crowd of parents and crying students.
And on a stretcher she sees her. Or what's left of her.
Nicole's body.
Everything goes black.
Again, she wakes up in her bed. And again, she goes into the kitchen and sees nicole.
And yeah you get the gist. Basically its higurashi without the edgy gore, lolicon, braindead main character, or yuri-bait. Nicole's mom is forced to live the bad endings of the game over and over again until she gets her shit together and becomes a better mom, and the win condition is to see nicole graduate and actually have a good relationship with her daughter. Oh yeah and she fucks principal lynn but thats just a fun side thing. But honestly AbsolutionOfSainthood on AO3 gots a simmilar fix it isekai story thats leagues better than anything i could ever write so just read that instead.
Idea 3
a shitpost story about nicole and her secret obssesion with Peanuts (the comic strip) and snoopy in particular. For whatever reason, her shrine to snoopy and collection of peanuts memorabilia and baby photos of her peanuts themed halloween costumes and birthday cake is discovered. and at school she comes to a simmilar scene to what happened to jeffery but instead of giantesses and catgirls, its snoopy and peanut's refrences.
The punchline is that she says "good grief" and then maybe shoots up the school idk

2024.04.10 18:53 zombite666 Can anyone help me out by drawing snoopy wearing a wizard costume

My mom was a huge snoopy and wizard fan. Ever since I was a kid my mom had this snoopy Halloween decoration. She passed away in 2020 and I wanted to get a tattoo in tribute of her. I thought it would be the perfect piece But I can't find art of him wearing this costume. If someone could help me out by drawing him in the peanuts style but wearing this outfit I would be extremely grateful. If he could be holding g a heart instead of a crystal ball or maybe a heart in the crystal ball would be even better

2024.02.06 19:16 queenofthescreen [Thank You] Do ya have a date for V Day? Yes, it's Feb 14. What do the French give Valentines? A big quiche. What did the painter tell his gf? I love ya w/all my art. What did the guy w/a broken leg tell his Val? I have a crutch on you. What did the paperclip tell the magnet? I find ya so attractive

u/spaaaaaacey Thank you for the cool pink Martian colonies postcard! Atari, so cool! Totally obsessed with Pac-Man & Mrs. Pac-Man!!! When I was a kid, my parents owned a laundromat and we had the actual huge video game machines for all the Pac-Man games, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, & so many more! I actually learned to cuss while playing Pac-Man lol! I first uttered the “F” word (the four letter one) at the age of four. I manned the fort by myself at my family’s flailing laundromat during the day while my parents worked minimum wage blue-collar jobs (yes, my childhood was weird - my parents are lucky no one called CPS on them). When I wasn’t giving out change for the machines or crawling around on my hands & knees looking for lost quarters under the dusty washers or folding guest laundry for the “Wash, Dry, & Fold” service at 49 cents per pound, I stood on a chair & played the coin-operated arcade game machines that brought in some spare change for my family. One teenage high school boy, James, would frequently come to the laundromat after school with other boys to play the games. I noticed that James would yell this unfamiliar word each time he lost at Pac-Man. “F#@%!!!!” So I realized that’s what you’re supposed to say when you lose at Pac-Man. Soon, innocent customers relaxing with magazines while waiting for their clothes to dry would spill their hot coffee in horror, startled to hear a cute little girl in a dress with pigtails scream “F#$%!!!! F@%&!!!! F@&$!!!,” each time Pac-Man died. Not one customer said a word but sadly, the F-Bomb detonated for the final time when months later, my mother nearly fainted when she finally heard her four-year-old lose at Pac-Man. :) BTW do you remember a fun hiding spot in Pac-Man where the ghosts couldn’t get us lol? Wishing you lots of fun trips down Pac-Man memory lane, friend. And here’s hoping you outsmart all the ghosts forevermore!
u/duck-with-bat-wings I LOVE LOVE LOVE this “Hello from Maplewood” Words Bookstore card!!! I’m bananas for illustrated cards so this is one of my all-time faves!! I think it’s so awesome that the bookstore is within walking distance…we don’t have that kind of luxury here! Sadly, our cities are not built for walking. Ages ago, my bf and I tried to walk to the library near his place, about a mile away, and we physically couldn’t do it even after trying for over an hour because we would have been killed without pedestrian walkways! I also LOVE the cuuuute frog sticker you used to decorate the card - please tell me where I can find the sticker collection from where this gem came!! Love your pink ink too!! I’m all about bookish knick-knacks too! Would love to know what book you bought if you wanna share! And your chicken calendar sounds cuuuute!
u/SweetyDarlingLulu x 2 What a sweety darling you are indeed for sending me this glorious green dragon card! I love it! The art work is incredible! And these dragon cut-outs are so fun - I can’t wait to pass them on! :) And WOW what a gorgeous V-Day card featuring your sweeties B&B!!! Is the front pic an illustration of them? It’s so beautiful! BTW I LOVE their names…I believe they are of Indian origin, which is so neat! I spent a few years hanging out in India! I’d love to know how you came up with their cool names! I appreciate your good wishes for the new year & hope you have fabulous fortune too!
u/jemst0ne x 2 Thank you for the nifty vintage Banff National Park mountain sheep card with all the neat-o vintage stamps! The “In Memoriam” stamp is the coolest!! :) Thank you also for the cute V-Day XOXO card with the pretty stickers! The Forever dove stamp is crazy bananas cute too! I LOVE your taste in food and so share the enthusiasm for Thai food! Anytime my boyfriend and I get take-out, it’s Thai! I could eat it everyday too! AND YUM all those creamy carbs like chicken pot pie - give ‘em all to me! Especially chicken ‘n dumplings! Ever had that? Wishing you lots of love on V-Day & beyond, kind friend!
u/lunatenchi_ Thank you for the glittery snowman card! So cute! I also think you’re so cute because of your love for glitter!
u/izzykurk x 2 Thank you for your fun doodle of the Mouse from Big Blue House! Only you could make me think that mice are cute lol! Thank you also for the cool Bauhaus card - that is so neat that you teach art!! Hope teaching kids how to be creative brings you lots of joy!
u/AlfredTheButt-ler x 2 Thank you for the super sweet Snoopy & “Ur Amazing” valentines! Snoopy hugging Woodstock is beyond adorable!! Also love the fun Candyland game & stickers, thank you!!
u/DanRicF12021 Thank you for the fun spooky-themed card & stickers! Love the floral arrangement on top of the skull! Hope you have a spooky sweet 2024!
u/sable_ Thank you for the Lego card with the neat fact I didn’t know & the sweet fruit washi that you used to decorate! Here’s a fun fact for you that blew my mind: a cloud weighs around a million tons!! :)
u/PinkPengin Thanks so much, y’all for thinking of me during y’all’s flight with the precious handmade holiday card! The “enjoy, savor, relax” ribbon is darling! Hope the trip to see BFF was fabulous! Did y’all eat anything scrumptious or take in any cool sights? Thanks so much for the colorful, chirpy paper bits you sent that brightened my day!! My fave is the scrapbooking card with the crazy cuuuute illustrated puppy holding the teddy! And I can’t wait to pass on the pizza patch to the biggest pizza fan among us! I was also very happy to receive the “Radical Abundance” reminder at the beginning of the year to keep me thinking positive! All y’all’s beautiful energy just came overflowing out of the card & made me smile so much! Thanks, love y’all!! XOXOXO
u/lifeessence Thanks for the pretty pink cupcake card! That delectable-looking frosting is taunting me lol! Wishing you a lovely V-Day full of fabulous frosting!
u/xcdo Thank you for the adorable sloth holiday card with all the fun stickers! I was also happy to read about your cute 15 month old who brings you books to read - that is just darling! My nephews are 15 months old & 3-years-old & I find it hilarious when they just want me to read the same book over and over again even though I’ve gifted them at least 80 books lol! I should start hiding the books like you - so clever hahaha! Wishing y’all the best reads!
u/literallyinlimbo I LOVE this vintage illustrated car card so very much! And I agree with you that the mini size factor makes the cars all the more appealing! The color blue is so serene & calming as well. Thank you for thinking of me! Wishing you lots of love & laughter!
u/wabisabi_sf Thank you for the AWESOME “Year of AI” Postcrossing SF meetup card - the graphics are sooo adorable! I love it! I also love all the personalized stamps on the back - they make me want a personalized stamp of my own!
u/orgendoner77 Thank you so much for the sweet V-Day card in the pretty pastel shades of pink & purple! The bright colors add to the positive energy you sent me with your kind, thoughtful words! Thank you! I appreciate your encouragement so very much! I wish you infinite success in all your own endeavors, kind friend!
u/random_ness I LOVE this gorgeous floral postcard from the National Quilting Museum! Thank you SO much!! 😊 The bright, beautiful colors instantly elevate my mood, thank you!! I also love that you recommended “Whose Line is it Anyway” to me because although I have heard spectacular things, I’ve never seen it. I will definitely check it out now! I love this visual of you laughing until you almost cried…that is the BEST kind of entertainment, right? I thought of something else that makes me LOL. Ever seen “Impractical Jokers”? Over-the-top hilarious! I love the full shows but here are a few fun clips I recommend:https://youtu.be/ovezV6b1J6E?si=qt0OB7UVn5JZcYJ_https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AmEOfPb2Bo Wishing you lots of belly-aching laughter, kind friend!
u/cmleo91 Thank you so much for your cuuuute beaver holiday Swiftmas card & the sweet friendship bracelet! So pretty! It was so generous of you to share your joy with others! I also love your wishes for the sparkles! May your 2024 be full of Swifty sweet, sparkly moments as well & peace!
u/stephkempf x 4 I LOVE the upcycled MikePenPal6 “Dreams in Bloom” Snow White card! So cute! I also love the pretty “Wild & Free” upcycled card with the mini gorgeous watercolor landscape! The artist who created that is so talented! The cat collage card is hilarious & awesome! Thank you also for trying to fulfill my wish with the angel/violin card! Lots of fun stuff going on in that card! Thank you for your eternal kindnesses!! Xoxo
u/raspberrypoppyseed Oh how I LOVE this luscious Loupaper card from “Missourah” with the Missourah stamp to go along with it! Such stunning illustrations! I had no idea that toasted ravioli is a Missourah thing! Now I’m lamenting this tragedy, that I think I’ve only had untoasted ravioli!!! And ice cream cones too?!? Your fun card triggered some fun research (https://americacomesalive.com/ice-cream-cones-the-true-story/) : “The ice cream cone is said to have originated at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1904.” So neat! Thank you so much for adding this beautiful card to my collection! Wishing you the creamiest of pistachio ice cream in the crunchiest of cake cones, kind friend! :)
u/LateStartKSMama x 3 Thank you for the cute floral & heart themed V-Day card, the typewriter card, & stickers! Thank you for the super cute milkshake postcard! I LOVE listening to standup as well! Any comedians you recommend? I gravitate toward the cleaner comics like Jim Gaffigan but I’ll listen to anyone because I’m interested in the writing structure of comedy. Just heard half of Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special this weekend after I read that he earned 20 million per special WTH?!? And thank you for appreciating my hobby of collecting vintage children’s books! I never sell them, only buy them lol. I don’t even have the space for them but I sure can’t stop! One of my fave “modern vintage” books is a 1980s Strawberry Shortcake cookbook with vintage SS illustrations! My heart hurts when I see how she has changed over the years because she was perfect in the 80s! At a recent library book sale, I found my most recent love…a 1950s illustrated children’s dictionary. I ESPECIALLY love the dictionaries because the illustrations are small enough for me to cut out and use for my art journaling (but now I’m apprehensive to cut through them unless I have a second copy to keep intact lol)! Do you have any fond memories of favorite children’s books as you were growing up? Happy V-Day to you!
u/Sufficient_Letter883 Thank you for the cool “Gone With the Wind” postcard! I love your passion for alien cultures - I share it, although sadly, I’m not a Trekkie (yet?). I’ve attended multiple lectures on alien science at the library & am continually fascinated!
u/MailByAir How adorable is this UP postcard?!? I just LOVE it, thank you so much! And I feel so fortunate that you routed it through the city of “Love” so I was able to receive this DARLING postmark! SO very cool! I’m very happy to add this unique card to my collection! I love your interest in “seeing genuine joy in others” - you brought so much joy to me, thank you! And I think it’s hilarious that your frowns are reserved for people who block escalators hahaha! This innocent, pure remark *which is sooooo justified* makes me adore you & goes to show how loving of a person you really are lol!!! I hope that the joy you bring to others returns to you a billionfold, kind friend!
u/rosiealeo1 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your kindness & generosity in reaching out to me unprompted to offer this gorgeous Loupaper snail mail card! I was so touched at your thoughtfulness! It’s BEAUTIFUL, especially the illustrated stamps! A bonus - I love the REAL stamp featuring the drawn kids - to-die-for cuuuute!!! I’m so excited to add this fun card to my Loupaper collection, thank you! I only got into mail when I joined RAoC a year ago. What about you? It’s truly been life-altering!!! I honestly didn’t want to wake up in the mornings before I chanced across the sub but now I have so much hope to keep going!! Thank you again for thinking of me! May all your own snail mail dreams come true!
u/sunflowr_prnce Thank you for the cute kittie belated Halloween card, the INSANELY adorable paperclips (these paperclips show how adorable YOU are), and the sweet stickers!! But I honestly don’t know how I’ll use these paperclips because they are TOO CUTE TO BE USED! I’d be so paranoid about losing them lol! Do you actually use your cute paperclips? :) I appreciate you! All the best in school this semester!
u/DianaPenPal I’m in LOVE with this gorgeous illustrated Prague card that was actually made in the Czech Republic! Thank you!!! The colors, the pretty car, architecture background, and fun font make the card so beautiful! Your trip there sounds so fun, especially the drive! I went to Prague some years ago as part of a fellowship but we certainly didn’t explore as much as y’all did. A drive would have been amazing. Thank you for thinking of me, kind friend!
u/cassius1213 Thank you for the cool bird puzzle card! I regret I’m PUZZLED as to the answer lol! But I love how you wrote out the puzzle…that must have taken ages! I appreciate your fun energy very much!
u/dwrfstr Thank you for the vintage highway postcard! I hope your snow days involve curling up with some tasty hot beverages & great reads as well!
u/FollowingTheBeat Thank you for the sweet cupcake V-Day card with the fabulous Jones quote! Here is one of my fave Hafiz quotes on love: “Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, 'You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.” Wishing you lots of love!
u/laura_eva WOW!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the book-themed card so very much! I can’t tell you how insanely perfect the card you chose for me is because I’m a struggling writer lol but hope to change that! I even pursued an MFA in a creative writing field but have yet to finish. So the card featuring all the “how to” writing craft books made me super excited & happy! I actually own lots of those books featured but have yet to read them lol. :) Illustrated cards are also my absolute favorite so this card made me positively giddy! I like that you’re into short stories! I need to check out some in the horror genre for inspiration with some creepy writing tasks I need to perform. My fave short stories - F. Scott Fitzgerald’s collection. \\Thank you for thinking of me with one of my now all-time fave RAoC cards! Wishing you wondrous reads, kind friend!
u/Mediocre_Radish_7216 Thank you for this gorgeous artsy watercolor print card! It’s so beautiful! I appreciate you introducing me to this incredible artist! Thank you also for the fun stickers, which I can’t wait to pass on!
u/miav WOW!!!! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the decorations on your lovely illustrated postcard of the University of the Phillipines!!! Thank you SO much! I love how the card is absolutely packed with not just pretty pink text, but the cute stickers & washi. The journaling prompt washi is so fun & clever too! The stamps have such neato font too. I want to see if I can replicate your style because it’s so fresh & fun! I’m looking at the decorations now and it’s just total gorgeous eye candy! Somewhere, I have mini washi tape & your decorations inspired me to use them in the lovely way you did so! I like what you did with adding them together to make the effect broader & so colorful! You’re so talented, my friend. Are you planning a visit back to the States anytime soon? Thank you for thinking of me & teaching me some style to help elevate my postcard game! Hoping your 2024 brings you lots of peace & joy, kind friend!
u/relax455 x 2 Thank you SO much for the glorious Harley postcard you sent - what a beauty! Wow, you designed it yourself?!? You’re so very talented! I LOVE that you chose a vintage design. The illustration just pops so nicely with the cool handwritten text in the background and the neat fonts you chose. And the bike itself is absolutely stunning. So sleek! The vivid red color is so eye-catching! I’m sure your brother absolutely loved the cards & couldn’t wait to share them with his friends! Thank you also for the lovely llama card (the glasses cracked me up lol) & fun blank cards to share with others - you are so very generous. I really appreciate your kindness & hope your 2024 is great so far!
u/ninajyang Thank you so much for the bright, beautiful Nevada Loupaper card! Such awesome graphics. I hope y’all had the best time!!! Did y’all check out any awesome shows? I love how much y’all travel & actually LIVE LIFE! Thanks again for thinking of us during your excellent excursions, Nina! :)
u/RainbowQuarts Thank you so much for the Steven Universe postcard from long ago, kind friend! The USPS chewed up the card so badly that I couldn’t make out the username & you went into the mystery pile. But the mystery cards make me sad so I consulted with my friend at the library who helped me figure out what the username could be. LOVE Steven Universe! I appreciate your kindness so very much & hope you have the most fabulous 2024!
u/mypetitmal x 2 Thank you for the bundle of joy you gifted me! The CRAZY CUTE CAT FLORAL POSTCARD OMG OMG - I just about died! How can this card be thiiiiis cuuuute?!? I absolutely love it & it’s now one of my all-time faves! Thanks also for the sweet vintage girl postcard to pass on along with the stickers! Thank you for all the AMAZING positive energy & good wishes that you sent! I’m so happy that you liked the affirmations. :) I think repeating them daily can truly impact our lives in the best way! I’m so there with you on the dream of a cease fire. So much pain in the world - I feel so helpless. You asked about my plans. I want to be consistently active in RAoC instead of participating in random insane bursts. I find it really hard to balance RAoC participation with all the stuff I HAVE to do but RAoC is honestly the greatest joy in my life so I really want to try my best! I also want to work on meditating more, reviewing my affirmations daily, & being more consistent with my walks. The crazy weather in my state doesn’t always make it practical but I’ll try my best. You & I seem to have a lot in common with our dreams, especially for wanting to “cultivate love & peace”!!! I LOVE the way you worded that. So beautiful, so positive, & brimming with hope! I admire your dreams so very much! I guess we’re both drawn to RAoC for many of the same reasons! I definitely see RAoC as one awesome way in which we can cultivate love, peace, & kindness! I hope that all your wishes for 2024 come true, my friend! Wishing you lots of love, laughter, & light, sweet friend!! XOXO
u/lovingsoul123 Thank you for the cool geode-like card in the pretty blue & green colors! Your anecdote about your families swapping states is so peculiar & crazy interesting! I wonder what it all means! Your sticker & post-it kindness actually made TWO people very happy!!!! I opened your mail at the library and was thrilled to see the mini mushroom memos. I took them over to my librarian friend, with whom I share any mushroom-themed snail mail goodies because she loves mushroom anything. She happily exclaimed “Totoro!” when I gave her your memos. :) I have yet to see that SG film so I wasn’t familiar with Totoro. Then I recognized Totoro from one of your other stickers & was delighted to pass it on to my librarian friend! Also love the mini vocab lessons! Thank you for brightening so many lives! May the joy you send to others multiply a billionfold & return back to you!
u/FancyKiddens Thank you for this hilarious “I can’t think of anyone I’d rather make questionable choices with than you” card with the cute doggie illustration!! I LOVE how much you wrote in the card, my friend! I loved reading your thoughts about the tree & your family. You write with such an open heart! Please forgive me that I can’t always write as much as I’d like in my own cards because I have horrendous carpal tunnel pain. So I type more, which also hurts, but hurts less than physically writing. Hoping all of you have recovered from the crazy colds. They are all so lucky to have you taking care of them! The weather in my state is driving me batcrap crazy. It’s either hot as hell or 10 degrees. It gets in the way of my taking regular walks. And we just don’t know how to drive in icy weather. We’re not equipped with the special tires and special clothes. I honestly wish I could live in your state just for the weather! I didn’t understand about the “synchronized sleeping” - I thought it would mean y’all sleep at the exact same time. But it sounds like you’re trying to avoid his breath hahaha! I can totally relate to what you said about your daughter & y’all’s relationship. I helped raise my niece ever since she was a baby, and now that she’s 13, she constantly breaks my heart! She used to love me so much & now I’m just trash even though I still help raise her. I never loved anyone more & she doesn’t even recall how much she used to love me. She stays with us part-time. I wish I could rewind time to when she was a baby again! It was so much fun & now, it’s tough for her to crack a smile as well, as you mentioned. It’s so painful! I love that you and your son play with the “World’s Smallest” toys!! Minis are my THING!!! I hope I can control myself from Googling them hahaha! I just bought those little “Make Your Own Mini Food” surprise toys & was horrified to discover that out of the two I bought, they were both the same. I don’t have $7.50 to throw down the drain like that! It was a total splurge & I felt so bad afterward. These companies are so naughty with the surprise toys & making us buy duplicates! I better stop now so I can actually write some cards! ;) Thanks for your wonderful energy, sweet friend! XOXO

2024.01.24 10:26 TheALEXterminator Ideas for what to draw on the whiteboard?

Ideas for what to draw on the whiteboard?
On night shift, we often have downtime between 0100 and 0400 so one night last summer, I drew Bugs Bunny wearing a stethoscope and a lab coat saying, "What’s up, Doc?" on the big whiteboard in the hallway that we use for huddle.
Then a couple nights later, I found it was erased so once I found some free time, I drew Patrick Star at the Krusty Krab answering the phone with the following dialogue:
  • Phone: Is this 5H? [5H is the name of our unit]
  • Patrick [yelling]: No, this is Patrick!
I was just doing it casually so I never bothered writing my signature or taking pics of these. Then the same thing happened so I replaced the drawing and I slowly amassed a cult following, and coworkers began taking pics of my art. Over the months, I have since drawn Pikachu as a charge⚡️ nurse, Dr. Stitch assessing patient Lilo, Jack Skellington for Halloween, a cat scan, Charlie Brown and Snoopy for Thanksgiving, and a parody of Home Alone for Christmas.
But the people want more and I’m running out of ideas to draw. I’ve mainly been pulling inspiration from my childhood (as an older Zoomer with Millennial brother) but I’m having a tough time coming up with ways to relate them to nursing and/or punny captions to go with them (especially punning with the name of our unit 5H).
The pressure is mounting and I don’t want to let down my audience.

2024.01.23 02:50 notevilllama Christmas one hit wonderland: You're a mean one, mr grinch by Thurls Ravenscroft.

I know I'm very late, but someone posted one for Halloween so I decided to post mine. Thurls Ravenscroft was a bass singer and voice actor, who is most famous for being the uncredited vocalist in the Grinch animated film singing You're a Mean One, Mr Grinch. The song, which has peaked at 31 on the Billboard hot 100 and 87 on the global hot 200, first was not credited to Thurl and was first thought to be preformed by singer Ernie Ford. Thurl's voice actor career is pretty interesting too. You might know Thurls as the whale from Pinocchio and Uncle Theodore from Haunted Mansion Disney ride ( one of the statues).
He also sang for other movies like Snoopy, come home ( No Dogs Allowed) and made a christian album called great hymns in story and song. He was backup vocals on Devil or Angel by Bobby Vee and the 12 day of Christmas by Andy Williams. Now his vocals contributions are mostly forgotten, but you will recognize his voice as Tony the Tiger in the Frosted Flakes commercials saying "They're g-r-r-reat!!!".

2024.01.05 06:29 Pluto-Wolf Help me find this christmas snoopy inflatable (with woodstock !!)

Help me find this christmas snoopy inflatable (with woodstock !!)
My parents used to have this christmas inflatable of pilot snoopy on the red baron. It had woodstock on the back of it, and maybe a small propeller but i can’t remember. I know for a fact it was snoopy AND woodstock, and it was absolutely a christmas inflatable (not halloween even though the halloween one has both of them). The lights stopped working on the one my parents had a couple years ago and they keep wanting to replace it, but haven’t found a replica that also comes with woodstock.
The original one would’ve been bought in early to mid 2010s at either walmart or walgreens. I’ve been searching for a replica, too, but the closest thing i’ve found is without woodstock or the halloween one.
Pictured is a badly photoshopped woodstock on the back of the christmas red baron, where he was on my parents inflatable. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

This is a long shot. This year I saw a green/purple/white tie dye shirt with Snoopy (from Peanuts comic) that just read "Spoopy." It was a Halloween shirt. Seen at Walmart. I've googled it but no luck :( Help?

Incluye tres largometrajes: Donald Duck: Stuck on Christmas, A Very Goofy Christmas y Mickey and Minnie’s Gift of the Magi.

¿Me falto mencionar alguna película navideña? Por favor déjenlo en los comentarios y denle un voto a favor a este post.
Muchas gracias😊😊😊😊😊🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

2023.11.22 22:49 OverCry518 Which do you prefer

Been a long time Disney pass holder as well as Knotts Associate but I’ll aways defend the little guy ahah
Which do prefer ? Do you like one better than the other? Do you like Knotts more? Do you like Disney more? Do you like both?
Christmas time at Knotts : Christmas time at Knotts has that great nostalgia feel. When you walk through ghost town/school town at night with all the Christmas lights on and decorations coming alive, it truly feels like special. Same with boardwalk area with all those colorful bright lights. It’s spectacular. The shows are also something worth watching. It’s always a must for Snoopy on ice , home for the holidays , snow and glow , tree lighting ,a calico Christmas carol , and sleigh bells , all worth a watch ! The food as well has gotten a huge improvement over the years ! But honestly, Knotts Merry Farm has to be the best bang for your buck holiday theme park adventure, Knotts Merry Farm might be the best place to take the family for Christmas this year. When it comes to Christmas time at any theme park, pound for pound, dollar for dollar, Knotts is the place to be for Christmas time
Christmas time at Disneyland: I don’t even have to go into depth. Christmas time at Disney is spectacular. The shows are unbeatable. The Christmas parade, world of color season of light and the believe in holiday magic fireworks. Watching those three itself is already a true disney experience. The food also during the holidays is worth splurging on. Christmas time at Disney is a sight to see !
Halloween time at Knotts : it’s the og haunt event here in socal and nobody does it better. Knott’s Scary Farm just celebrate their 50th anniversary and they went crazy this year. 3 new mazes, one new Scarezone , 4 amazing shows, and food worth dying for , Knotts Scary Farm is the event to experience.
Halloween time at Disney: Halloween time doesn’t compare to Christmas time in my opinion. Christmas feels more exciting. Oogie boogie bash isn’t worth it. I’ve experience it in 2021 and it was cool but not worth that much money !
Tasting events : boysenberry festival and food and wine festival are both worth experiencing. Knotts offers over 75 different boysenberry themed foods during their boysenberry festival and the portions are way bigger than the portions at disneys food event. Food and wine always has so much good food but little portions. What’s more unique and worth it ? Definitely the boysenberry festival.
Summertime experience: during the summer, Knotts Berry Farm offers two spectacular experiences, one being Ghost Town alive during the day, and the other being summer nights at night. During Ghost Town alive, you get to experience and interact with the citizens of calico in Ghost Town. you get to talk to the mayor bandits and sheriffs, as well as doing interactive activities. At night you get to experience Knotts summer nights with lots of live entertainment, as well as DJs and summer food tastings. Experiencing ghost center live, and summer nights is a must of visit to Knotts Berry Farm.
Summertime at Disney: at Disney during summer, you can experience magic happens ,world of color as well as the fireworks. Those three shows are amazing and a definite must do while at Disneyland. there are also characters roaming through the parks that you can interact with, my favorite is interacting with the marvel characters at avengers campus.
Lightning lane & genie plus vs Fast Pass: when you use genie plus lightning lanes guest that may not reserve the same right twice in one day and there are limits on how frequently you can reserve if you reserve a lightning link, but then do not ride and let it expire that counts as using it. You can also purchase lightning lines throughout the theme park some rides I’ve seen cost around $10 the highest being $20. Depending on the season you go to Disneyland wait times can be horrendous so Jeannie plus and lightning Lane is really preferred if you want to truly experience all the rides and get your moneys worth but prices very by attraction and day of the year ranging from $10-$25 per person per ride.
Fast pass at Knotts: the price range for a fast lane pass at Knotts Berry Farm varies on the day and season you go. as of today November 22, 2023. It is priced at $109 but during the summer I’ve seen it go up to $170, unlike lightning lane the fast pass at Knotts let you experience priority boarding on select rides MULTIPLE times a day. The fast pass at Knotts Berry Farm is definitely worth it. I’ve seen wait times go as high as 2 1/2 hours the wait times at Knotts Berry Farm is horrendous. if it’s in your price range, please buy the fast pass lane at Knotts Berry Farm, especially during their busiest seasons
Fireworks: one of the most unique shows at Disneyland is experiencing the fireworks whether it’s the fireworks during Christmas Halloween summer etc. it’s always worth to watch. I love how the fireworks is queued to the songs and projections on Main Street. The grand finale aren’t as big compared to Knotts. Knotts only does fireworks a few times a year, New Year’s Eve, July 4th weekend and sometimes on memorial day. The fireworks at Knotts are accompanied with music. They are not in synced, nor are accompanied with projections like at Disneyland. The fireworks are knots are just as good as the fireworks at Disneyland but the big difference is the grand finale at Knotts. it’s insane and definitely a sight to see especially during New Year’s Eve and July 4 weekend.
Battle of the fried chicken: Mrs. Knotts fried chicken is an OG staple to Knott Berry Farm. There’s definitely more flavor and it’s a better bang for your buck and portion size. Plaza has more crunch but for me the chicken is better at Mrs. Knotts chicken dinner restaurant. also don’t even get me started with the biscuits and the boysenberry butter that they complimentary serve. If you haven’t had boysenberry butter, then you’re missing out. definitely a top three biscuit or bread spread ever.
Overall, if you’re visiting Disneyland and Knotts for the first time or on vacation and wanting to experience both parks or one of the other, both are unique in their own way, especially during their seasonal events. If you’re coming in the summer, I recommend experiencing Ghost Town alive and Summer nights at Knotts Berry Farm. If you’re here for 4th of July, the fireworks at Knotts is better if you’re coming during Christmas season, I highly suggest visiting both theme parks , Disney and Knotts Berry Farm ,if you’re coming for Halloween it’s no surprise that you want to be at scary farm ,but if you’re visiting and vacationing and only want to pick one theme park then Disneyland is your best bet.
There is so much history behind Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland. It’s great to see and learn about the friendship that Walter Knott and Walt Disney had back in the day. if only both of them can see what their theme parks have turned into. it would’ve been great to see both of them visiting and enjoying the different theme parks. both are unique in their own ways, and bring joy to many across Southern California, and to many who visit
Until next time, I’ll see you all at the theme parks !
