The first is the argument that “more” relationship experience would correlate with being better at relationships but this is just survivorship bias. you continue ending and forming relationships until you find a good relationship and stop. so you would expect someone who’s really bad at relationships to have had a lot of relationships. 10 relationships= 9 break ups. you would never expect a person on their 5th marriage to be “better” at marriages.
But even if we grant that that correlation is true Daisy does NOT have a lot of relationship experience. so by his own generalization you should expect her to make bad decisions instead of being malicious. Destiny does the redpill meme of conflating sexual experience with relationship experience! as far as we are aware Daisy has only had ONE other serious relationship than fresh for ONLY 9 months. I realize for people who are born and live there it’s safe, but how about for tourists? I don’t speak Arabic and I don’t know my way around the city or country, so I would absolutely look like a target if someone were to target me in some way.
I’m probably being paranoid but it’s a good question to ask.
I also know that there is a huge uptick of westerners moving to Dubai and UAE as it has better tax laws, job and business opportunity and life affordability, however I hear from some girls who I knew who went that they felt unsafe there. Hi there! I am looking for advice here. I joined a company on the 18th of December 2023, as a service coordinator, and was told on 16th Feb, 2023. that my position has been eliminated due to budget cuts. I was told to return my laptop, charger and my ID card, which I did. Now, i have been googling up about termination, and I realized that they have not provided 14-day notice or anything in writing stating that the position has been eliminated due to budget cut.
Additional note: I was hired using an outsourcing firm and the contract was for 1 year, therefore, the company that I worked for, isnt legally my employer( I guess i was hired to reduce liability n overhead).
But I want to double-check whether I need to get the termination from them in writing, and is it okay to terminate the person right away and escort the person out on the same day itself.
What I found weird was:
No 14 day notice and the termination wasnt performance or behavioral related.
I asked my manager whether there was any behavioral, or performance related feedback that she wanted to share. But, all she mentioned was budgetary cut and how hiring and firing is common and cyclical in the company. She did not have any complaints or concerns when it came to my performance. She told me that she may re-hire me 4 months down the line once the budget opens up.
I just dont want to get banned for absconding or anything, or take a hit when it comes to employability, or get blacklisted for no reason. Please let me know if there is anything I should look out for. This was my first job and I am not sure how termination or separation works in Dubai.
