We just began beekeeping this spring, and this peach tree and our better pruned pear, plum and cherry trees in our back yard are all very fertile this season.
We got this peach when we first moved (when that yard was grass/during a severe drought) and we've been surprised that it's managed to stay alive so far. I was happy to see it flowe to see some early fruit on it. I had no idea how much fruit it was trying to put out until I decided to thin it earlier today.

Hey so unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase I didn’t realize theres an easement on all sides of my property, right behind fence and thankfully this easement is just for runoff water bc the way it’s slopped. So bc of that after a heavy rain it stays saturated for 2-3 days after, Bc of easement. Plus I’m on SE coastline zone 8. Which is why they look mounded instead of planted regularly. Otherwise they’ll be sitting in water. Any one have any ideas like maybe French drains or anything? To help with saturation? And will a heavy pruning of neighbors bush with permission kill it? Side note bc the pears were bigger thats why I put them on sides so sunlights not an issue so its pear plum plum pear either way.

Hello. This is my second summer with this young plum tree. I know with lemon trees that you should cut off any branches below the grafting point but I have no idea what’s best for this plum tree.
Should the big branches at the bottom be removed or should I just continue to let it grow out more?

Last year a planted 30 fruit trees (17 Apple, 2 Peach, 9 Cherry and 2 Plum). With the exception of the peach trees the deer ate Every. Single. Leaf.
I was worried that they were all essentially dead. So I did zero pruning over winter because I thought it would induce more stress.
None of the Golden Delicious made it. I have 1 Jonah Gold that survived. My red delicious survived and were pollinated and now the leaders are the only limbs bearing fruit... but that's causing all of them to lean over significantly.
From other posts I think that this winter I need to ensure that I only have 1 leader. My question is, how far back do I cut and which one do I leave? Also the trees are probably 7-8 ft tall, and from what I read on this forum, I need to keep them short. How far down do I prune the remaining leader (if at all?). I'm learning every day, so any advice is appreciated. Thank you!
