10 chubby little Piggly wigglies jiggled awake at the foot end of a feather mattress that slumped upon a fine mahogany frame. 2 black ringed, thickly-layered-as-Canadian-bacon-still-in-the-package eyelids followed the lead piggies in this morning procession of porcine body parts powering up. One by one the hands flapped, the arms rolled in the pit mud that night terrors accumulated, the big pink belly rumbled, and finally the red little upturned nose oinked. Lord Fistburn had awakened.
“Lawrence, ohhhh Lawrence!”
The calls flapped from his overstuffed jowls.
Ever attentive, Noble Lawrence answered his Lord.
“Yes, m’Lord?”
“Oh Lawrence! It was horrible. Just horrible I tell you!”
Lawrence stood before his master patiently as the overgrown farm animal bleated and howled about how he once again had the dream where the figs “ate him instead”.
He scratched at his bare cheek, right in the crevice left by a scar from when he’d been called up as a boy.
“Ahem. Lawrence don't scratch your face that's awfully droll”
the fat little piggy sputtered as he finished the ridiculous tale of his ridiculous subconscious. This man, Lawrence thought as Fistburn hobbled out from his covers and off of his poor, dilapidated, dying bed, this piggy must be the worst creature Lawrence had ever met, and each day he just gets worse.
‘For Christ’s sake, the dreams are actually getting scarier by the bloated chaps renditions! What began as one sole fig nibbling his fingers is now a ravenous horde eating him from the inside out!’

No, we shan't be so lucky as to hear of his humble origins, how he cared for his sick mother right up til her untimely demise, how he lied about his age to serve his great nation, went over the top countless times and survived countless others. Traveled through country after country, loved and lost, only to settle down into a life of gentle luxury, the caretaker of a prized hog of a man.
No, this tale is of the hog. The wet, slimy, greased up hog.

After the last button in his spring sport coat was laced into its wife, clinging on for dear life, flying in the face of the most ancient physics, Lawrence patted Fistburn on the back, and released the creature into the wild.

- Physically? I’m 6’2. Short brown hair, blue eyes, paaaaasty white.
- I’m from a Hispanic background. Still learning the language though. That’s been really fun and challenging.
- Career Goals: Currently 1 year left in undergrad. (Yeah, at 26… long story short, health issues are stupid. Happy to share if you want). I’m pretty driven and take school seriously. I'm approaching my future career with the same level of ambition and drive. I’m likely headed out to California/LA after I get my degree, just so you're aware. I’m looking for something serious that’d eventually be in person, so if that locale doesn’t work, we probably aren’t a match—but I wish you the best! :)
- I do envision having kids when I can feasibly financially support them and am in a healthy relationship.
- I lean liberal on the social and political spectrums, but I'm not staunchly liberal. It's not a major part of my identity, but I know it can be important to people, so I'm just putting it out there.
- I do believe in God. I was raised Catholic, but I'm still figuring “belief” out. Though I don't ascribe to everything in Catholicism anymore, it's still a part of my background and of who I am. If you’re from a different or no faith background, that’s totally fine, but I don't think I'd be compatible with someone who is an atheist. If that's you, no worries, everyone has their own path, and I wish you the best. :)
- I don't do drugs or smoke. I'm okay if you're 420-friendly as long as it's in moderation. I do drink, but very rarely and mildly.

There has been an ongoing discussion about the responsible use of AI tools in game development.As mentioned in our Steam AI generated content disclosure, during the development of The Machine Age the Stellaris team used text and image generative AI tools for ideation purposes to inspire creativity in a developer, or to aid in explaining a designer’s intent to other members of the development team. We subscribe to the legal opinion that there is no copyright or ownership attached to the output of generative AI, and our team is disallowed from putting any such generated text or image directly into the game. Everything you see or read in The Machine Age has been created, developed, or written by our creative staff in the Studio. We have used an advanced text-to-speech AI tool to create a voice for Cetana and the Cyberpunk advisor. The scripts and lines for these voices were created by our Content Design team, and the voice actors that created any voice models that are used by this tool receive payment for each line generated, and will continue to receive payments if more lines are generated using their voice models in the future. The use of this tool allowed our Audio team (with quite a bit of effort as described in Dev Diary #340) to fully voice Cetana, and will allow us to keep the advisor voice up-to-date should new mechanics be added to Stellaris over the upcoming years. This will prevent the voice from needing to fall back to the default VIR voice, as many of our other advisors did when Galactic Paragon added Council Agendas. These technologies are evolving quickly, and personally I have great hopes for further improvements and potential uses of this text-to-speech technology in particular. In the 3.6 “Orion” update we added support for text-to-speech in events as a major accessibility improvement, but currently it is limited to the use of operating system based voice packs. While these audio tools are not yet at a point where we can use this technology to improve that experience, I look forward to a day some years from now where AI-based advanced text-to-speech could replace these relatively crude voices with more thematically appropriate ones, and be able to better handle languages other than English. End goal? A life partner, in every sense of the word. That person who will be there for you no matter what, and you for them. Someone who I can make hot cocoa for and spend all night with, huddled under blankets on the sofa watching movies and talking about life. :)
But of course, it takes time to foster a relationship that is at that point. I like to pace myself when getting to know someone for that very reason. - Career Goals: Currently 1 year left in undergrad. (Yeah, at 26… long story short, health issues are stupid. Happy to share if you want). I’m pretty driven and take school seriously. I'm approaching my future career with the same level of ambition and drive. I’m likely headed out to California/LA after I get my degree, just so you're aware. I’m looking for something serious that’d eventually be in person, so if that locale doesn’t work, we probably aren’t a match—but I wish you the best! :)
- I do envision having kids when I can feasibly financially support them and am in a healthy relationship.
- I lean liberal on the social and political spectrums, but I'm not staunchly liberal. It's not a major part of my identity, but I know it can be important to people, so I'm just putting it out there.
- I do believe in God. I was raised Catholic, but I'm still figuring “belief” out. Though I don't ascribe to everything in Catholicism anymore, it's still a part of my background and of who I am. If you’re from a different or no faith background, that’s totally fine, but I don't think I'd be compatible with someone who is an atheist. If that's you, no worries, everyone has their own path, and I wish you the best. :)
- I don't do drugs or smoke. I'm okay if you're 420-friendly as long as it's in moderation. I do drink, but very rarely and mildly.

Basically I have been planning to buy a new laptop for the remainder of my PhD term for writing, markup and massive PDF and Youtube use. I am currently using a 2015 model Dell 5550 8gb i5 4th generation model. The magnificent machine is still pulling some muscle, but it has seen its prime. I am basically clocking 7gb of ram on an average use in it. Pretty much this new laptop is to be my office space up until the first pay hike at job down the line. So I am quite serious about future proofing it. I've always wanted to make a move to apple after the M1 buzz, despite never getting around to it though. Moreover I have been putting this away for long that looking for an intel alternative is a bit overwhelming now. However I am open to considering all possible permutations and combinations. I am currently undecided between the beefygrip and the NLD Design grips. Could someone please outline the advantages and disadvantages of both options? I previously used the beefygrip for the original Odin and was very satisfied with it, but I am now leaning towards the NLD grip because of its more compact size. One drawback I have noticed is that the NLD grip lacks felt on the inside to prevent scratches on the Odin, whereas the beefygrip does have felt inside to protect against scratches.

I m(22) am severely behind in every aspect in life and I don't know where to even start. I had a video call with the one person I've kept in contact with and I just feel so incompetent. I'm not good with words so I'll put a list down instead.
Things I need help with::
-finding a reason to live; I always thought that I be dead by the time I was 10 and since then I've just been waiting for my overdue death
-having wants and goals I've never had an idea of my future and I can't find joy in the things I used to do
-living authentically; I grew up thinking that I was broken for being autistic since I was told by my teachers so I masked so hard that I have an identity crisis when I try not to. I want to be fully out of the closet and accepted by others too
-have connections to people; I am alone more often (aside from my dogs) than not it doesn't usually bother me but sometimes I just long for having people I can be comfortable with and enjoy being around that I see other people have especially after that video call last night. It's not that I haven't met lovely people in my life It's just that I can't seem to truly care about them I want them to have a good life of course but I don't miss them or look forward to seeing them again
-getting fit, education and/or a job this is secondary to the other stuff right now especially with my health issues
