Hi, I know this may be against game policy and may bring criticism. But Monster Life is over soon, so I thought those in hurry of making level 40 farm in MSEA and GMS would NEED this. No meso cubes but meso caps, why play nice...

So before using this, a few requirements and basics:
- You need logitech mouse to connect to G HUB
- You need about 12,000,000 Waru in your Monster Life for fully leveling to 40 (More if you don't have Pharaoh Yeti <- btw always lock this to not mistakenly discharge it)
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyg93s_XPdw . watch this video to set up Lua features. I didn't scan and make new profile for Maplestory because when it runs it turns to desktop profile and glitched. So, I recommend using Desktop profile as it is.
- The OutCount = n (*at 26 now) is how many you want to discharge in one run. Change "n" as per your monsters out
- You may notice in the scrlpt , there is CarePet function. I used it to hit additional enter after RemovePet function (the discharge), so manually "Auto Take Care" first before using this (buying C-grade box and opening them is also manual)
- I put the Monster Life in full screen and adjusted the absolute mouse position to click the check box that appear in the center when discharge was clicked. Monster Life is usually 1024 * 768 but if yours is somehow not, then you may need to either adjust screen size or the scrlpt itself "MoveMouseTo(31065, 36865)" <--- it means (x,y) or (left to right, low to high)
- Hover your mouse cursor to the first monster to be discharge (one right to Pharaoh Yeti) then press 5 (4:08 of the lua intro video)to run it as shown in the photo below

I am struggling with how to handle this situation.
We found a (stray?) dog and took it in. We immediately made posts on local pages, took her around the neighborhood, called shelters, etc. with no one reaching out to claim her. The next day, my husband took her to the vet, where she did not have a chip. The vet said she had been bred excessively and likely dumped. At this point, we were planning on keeping her if no one came forward, but she began biting my kids. In the interest of our children, we changed our mind, posted again looking for her owners, and heard nothing from anyone. I know not everyone is on Facebook, but if you were really looking, you’d have family searching on there or post flyers or contact shelters or something. Radio silence.
On day 6 of feeding and caring for this dog, a woman who lives on a rescue farm offered to take her in, and we accepted. We were clear about the whole situation, and she came and picked up the dog. Now, I will admit that it was actually just a horse rescue. I did not know that initially until my husband told me later, and I guess they had plans to keep the dog personally. Honestly, I was fine with that because no one was claiming her anyway and she was crated all the time at my house because of my kids.
A woman who had read the online posts messaged me on FB wanting to know why I deleted my posts about the dog etc. I explained the whole situation, everything I just told you. She asked where I sent the dog in case the owners were found and wanted to legally claim her, and I told her.
I guess she called them, because she messaged me back and said they only had horses and could I have taken her somewhere else. At this point I stopped responding because I don’t know this lady and honestly I just want to be done with it. A few hours later she send me a NASTY message telling me what a terrible person & liar I am, how my stories don’t match up, karma will get me, and mad because I deleted the post. I deleted the post because I was getting 500 messages to go check for a chip etc.
I would just ignore this completely, but I’m a teacher and we have a ton of mutual friends, principals, fellow teachers, etc. and I am concerned about what she might say. She didn’t post my name publicly but told people to message her if they wanted to know details about the shady person involved.
I did eventually reply and reiterated my role and that I had been honest about everything from the beginning. I was kind and told her I’m sure she sees a lot of shady people in the rescue community but that we were not doing anything for our personal gain, etc. I said that I appreciate that she cares for animals but that I appreciate that she not spread misinformation about me and that I am deterred from helping in the future because of the critical responses received.
What do I do? Maybe we should have taken the dog to a shelter, but we didn’t. We were trying to be kind to an animal in need but those FB pet groups are so critical and rude.
Owners still haven’t come forward BTW.

I walked the Frances from mid Sept to the end of Oct 2023. My plan was that I would always take the longest route if there were options. This didn't always happen, but almost always the alternative path was a great diversion and when I joined back up with my camino family, they weren't happy with their route. Usually the alternative routes are longer but the benefit is they take you away from roads and into more nature.
I'm going to use Gronze maps to explain where these are. I primarily used the Buen Camino app while walking, and Gronze sometimes implies the alternatives are the main path...

- SJPDP to Roncesvalles - the Napoleon vs Road route is described a lot. However on the Napoleon at the start of the decent down to Roncesvalles you can go directly down on the path through the forest or take the winding gravel road to the right. The pilgrims' office in SJPDP told everyone to take this road due to the conditions, almost no one did and they had a hard time with the steepness and mud. The road has amazing views, including that of the main albergue in Roncesvalles. It's far safer, less steep, but it is somewhat exposed. Towards the end there is a km or two next to a river and the road, but overall highly recommended. Extra distance - about 500m. link to map
- Estella to Los Arcos - There is a shortcut "variant" just outside Ayegui, don't take this as you'll miss the famous Irache winery (free wine). Many people did though, by accident. Then, a little ways past the winery, there is an alternative path to the south, "variant de Montejurra". I don't think this path is much longer, might even be shorter, but it's far more scenic from what I heard. You get on to single track through trees which is really nice especially on a hot day. There are some terrific views and you're far away from the main roads. link to map
- Logroño to Nájera - This is a long days walk, but there is the little town of Ventosa which can be bypassed saving you 1km. However this "detour" takes you along an "art walk", away from the road, and Ventosa is a nice place to stop for a drink/ice cream/tapa. The bypass is marked on the map as "camino directo". link to map
- Entering Burgos - This one is essential. The main camino route takes you north of the airport, through a lot of industrial areas etc. Or, the alternative takes you south and you enter Burgos along its river. It's a stunning walk, and if the sun is out you'll see all the locals hanging out and enjoying their main park. We even had a quick swim in the river! It's about 1km longer, but that river walk is so nice and shady. There is a sign to show you where to turn, but many still missed it. link to map
- Fromista to Carrión de los Condes - Just as you leave Población de Campos the Way splits and there is a northern path that takes you away from being next to the road for about 10km. Well worth it. Instead you are on a single track path next to a small river, and farm roads. You can actually see the road to you left a few hundred meters away!. Adds about 1km, but absolutely worth it. You have to look for this, there isn't obvious signs. link to map
- León to Hospital de Órbigo - The official camino path takes you alongside a main road all day here, and from what people have told me, it was the worst day on the entire camino. The alternative route breaks off into the countryside just as you finally leave the outskirts of León. There are a number of small villages with albergues along this route so you don't have to make it all the way to Hospital de Órbigo. It's mostly still on roads, some dirt, but there were almost no cars. We stayed in a casa rural called Molino Galochas (just after Villavante), which I highly recommend, book though. This detour is about 4km longer. Gronze documents it over two stages. link to map
- Hospital de Órbigo to Astorga - As you exit Hospital de Órbigo there is yellow paint all over the road telling you to turn right. Most people missed it, don't! Gronze suggests it as the main route. Again you avoid the main road, and there is the best snack oasis of the camino on this path, plus decent views of Astorga. <1km longer perhaps. link to map
- Entering Ponferrada - many people stick to the side of the road going into town, but the Way breaks off to the left through some more countryside. It's a tough decision because it's a hard day of walking and this adds a bit more of a hill and about 1km. Nothing amazing to report about this section but you avoid the main road ("variant por carretera"). link to map
- Entering Villafranca - another must do.... just after Pieros at the top of the hill, you turn right away from the main road, as per Gronze's suggested path. This takes you through some very scenic countryside, and away from the main road, adding about 1km. link to map
- Leaving Villafranca - I didn't do this alternative as guides and people suggested not to. It takes you up a mountain which is fairly steep and it was pouring down the day I walked this. But it's on the Gronze map. link to map
- Triacastela to Sarria - well documented southern route to the monastery in Samos. About 7km longer but well worth stopping there and doing the tour. A really beautiful trail that day too, but I'm sure the other way is great too. link to map
- Leaving Portomarín - this one isn't on Gronze's maps, but just as you cross the bridge leaving town you can go right following the road, or left following a lesser used road. I went left (longer), it was nice - very green, no cars at all. There are two camino markers pointing in each direction at the end of the bridge so you can't miss it. Probably <1km longer and you get views of the river for a bit.

In Connecticut, where they got started, they were working-class kids with shady political backstories. And in 1860, this diverse coalition of young Americans drew the line against slavery and help to elect Abraham Lincoln.
Their success can tell us a lot about cobbling together a coalition in a fractured, tribal, distrustful age.Clad in militaristic black capes, marching by torchlight through America’s cities, the Wide Awakes alarmed the Southern aristocracy of enslavers — which was exactly what they hoped to do. The movement drew its mammoth size and unnerving force from the resentment many Americans felt toward “Slave Power”: the wealthy planters who pushed to expand slavery and brutally suppressed opposition.
Started by a few kids barely old enough to vote in February 1860, the Wide Awakes were believed to be half a million strong by August of that year, with companies from Maine to California, Virginia to Kansas.
To understand how shocking this coalition was, we need to rethink the politics of antebellum America.
Instead of a nation split between the absolutes of Slavery and Freedom, most Americans fell somewhere on a spectrum between the two. Just 2 percent of the population in 1860 actually enslaved anyone, and those Americans trapped in slavery made up another 12 percent of the nation’s men, women and children. That left 86 percent of Americans who were neither enslavers nor enslaved. Some enthusiastically supported slavery, while others prayed for the practice to end. But most — especially among the large northern majority — found slavery distasteful while also objecting to what they saw as the radicalism of Abolition.
Caught in the middle, this majority bounced from party to party, explaining much of the tumult of mid-19th-century politics. Enslavers skillfully exploited the unsettled situation and spent the 1850s demanding more slave states, the right to keep enslaved people even in free states, the prohibition of speech and writing against slavery, and a requirement that free states assist in hunting fugitives.
This outsize influence was backed by real and threatened violence, from the plains of Kansas to the halls of Congress. “I have no objection to the liberty of speech,” sneered Alexander Stephens, the future vice president of the Confederacy, so long as “the liberty of the cudgel is free to combat it.”
The moderate majority began to feel as though slavery was at war with democracy, trampling upon their own rights along with the rights of the enslaved. Young people decided they’d had enough.
A gawky 19-year-old textile clerk, Edgar Yergason, started it all. “Fastidious” about his clothes, Eddie prepared for a torch-lit rally of the anti-slavery Republican Party on Feb. 25, 1860, by fashioning a shiny black cape to protect his new coat from dripping torch-oil. Yergason’s fellow clerks made capes, too. This oddly uniformed corps led a march through Hartford that night, while their friends beat back a mob of proslavery Democrats. Proud of their costumes and their fighting skills, Eddie’s friends met in a dingy third-floor apartment to formalize their association. One ex-governor told Virginians that they would soon be “cut to pieces by the Wide Awakes.”
On Election Day, club members woke up communities with 5 a.m. fireworks, then marched to the polls. Turnout was high: 81 percent. By the end of the day, Lincoln had won an unusual victory, taking nearly 60 percent of the electoral vote but less than 40 percent of the popular vote in a four-way race. This awkward mandate meant that for all the Republicans talk of “majority rule,” no one could really bring unity, or even basic agreement, in such a fractured land. But the Wide Awakes lit Lincoln’s plurality with torchlight, until the movement’s shadow loomed larger than the actual Republican Party.
Many agreed with the New York Tribune’s assessment that the Wide Awakes were “the most imposing, influential and potent political organization, which ever existed in this country.”

2024.05.18 09:54 Fire_Afrit Fletching and Woodcutting Rework
If I were to rework the woodcutting and fletching levels from scratch, the mining and smithing rework is a good example to draw from. I'd lower the levels and experience for existing trees to woodcut and introduce some additional higher level trees that are much slower and more about profit than experience. I would also add a tree or two that's more experience oriented but not useful for fletching.

But Denis also suffered financial losses during the Black Monday stock market crash of 1987 and the bursting of the dot-com bubble in 2000.
In 1983, Richard Dennis and Bill Eckhardt launched an experiment called the “Turtle Traders Group” to investigate whether trading is an innate skill or something that can be learned. Dennis believed that, like farm turtles, profitable traders could learn and acquire skills. 1995 saw the biggest loss and the end for Nick Leeson and Barings. Leeson bought a huge amount of futures contracts to pressure the market, but a strong 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Japan caused these assets to collapse. As a result of the biggest scam, the 233-year-old Barings Bank suffered losses of US$1.4 billion and was sold to Dutch conglomerate ING for £1.
Leeson escaped from the bank leaving a two-word note: “I'm sorry.” He hoped to avoid jail in Singapore, but he was detained and extradited by Germany back to the Asian country, where he served four years in a local prison. The total sentence was 6.5 years. Leeson contracted cancer while in prison, but Singapore's best doctors treated the world-famous prisoner and he recovered.
Today, Nick cannot hold any stock positions, but he still earns more than $100,000 a month from his speaking engagements.

About the garden and me…. • I’d like medium size trees and bushes I can care for once or twice a week. Already have a few rhododendrons, don’t need more. I LOVE Japanese maples and similar. • Low ground cover / small plants can be set and forget. • I don’t want plants that I have to replant every year. • An area with bulbs (tulips?) would be nice but I get frustrated staring at empty space just to see a plant for one month a year. • I wouldn’t mind filling in the garden in phases. • The garden drains well and just got some conditioner. Hi all, new here. I've been in the plant world since about 2011. Started getting into trees in 2019. I've got about 24 or so, now. The only trees giving me problems are my pear trees.

I bought a 5-way European graft, last year, that has yet to leaf out. I took it out of the ground, to replace it with the next tree, and noticed much of the root mass is gone (slugs, probably). It's now in a planter, with rooting hormone. Scratch tested and nothing is dead yet. It's in a planter of PNW Best container soil, earthshine biochar, some extra perlite (because rainy months), and topped with a bit of dried moss to protect the soil.
I also just bought a 4-way Asian pear graft, a week ago. Both were bare root, when buying. The Asian pear is now wilting (in ground). I've done all I can for it - shade cloth, light mulch, daily watering, light rooting hormone. The tree is receiving 30 minutes of an alternating sprayer watering, every two days (the summers here are cloudless and dry) and a 5 minute direct watering on the day between those. When planting the asian pear, I saw the thicker roots had been cut by the nursery and the fine roots were extremely short. I should note that the nursery gave it to me in a pot with soil but told me it was bare root and just transplanted in December. It's sitting in a mix of soil that came from the nursery, my native shitty sand (so it can get used to the surroundings), earthshine biochar mix, fox farms garden soil and compost. My root flare is visible, above the mulch (it has an interesting inverted U shape). He's the tallest tree, in the middle. Photo taken before wilting. New photos when I get home.
I've never had trouble with other bare root trees - I've bare rooted columnar apples and maples but, from what I've read, pears are finnicky. What can I do to rescue them?
I'm located in Kitsap County, WA. My trees are in full sun all day (which is why I've built a shade cloth around the asian pear).
I have a non-grafted pear, on the east side of my house, that's doing perfectly fine. He wasn't a bare root baby, though.
The pictured planting space is new, so it's not competing for nutrients yet, despite the tight proximity. The planting bed was put together a bit over a month ago - all of the pictured columnar apple trees were in planters from 2019 until then.

Here are the detail photos of my 2 pears. The one in the ground, you can see a dark line. The nursery had pure mulch allllll the way up to that line. We're having lots of wind, today, so my shade structure got blown to pieces.

Hi,
I'm spending 9 full days in Canada end of May/early June. I'm looking for hints, suggestions etc. Flying from Copenhagen.
Day 0 Arrive in Toronto by plane
Day 1-3 Toronto, no car, suggestions for sight seeing/history/nature?
Day 4-8 Rent a car from YYZ, ideally go for nature and sight seeing, not sure where exactly though?
Day 9 Niagara Falls - not sure where to stay the night before and after, but I thought one full day will be fine for Niagara
Day 10 Drive from Niagara to airport and fly back home
As you see, it's pretty much Toronto to begin with and then driving around to see some nature, landmarks, etc (and well... Probably get some cheaper accommodation than downtown Toronto :)) Ending in Niagara Falls.
Any hints and suggestions are welcome! What do do, see, try, avoid etc.
