I've been juggling multiple email accounts for a while now – work, personal, side projects, you name it. It got to the point where I was losing track of important emails and missing deadlines because I couldn't keep up. So, I went on a bit of a quest to find the best tool to manage all these accounts efficiently. Here’s a rundown of what I found, based on my experience and some deep dives into various tools:

1. Microsoft Outlook: This one’s a powerhouse. It can handle multiple accounts seamlessly, whether they’re Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, or others. The focused inbox feature is a lifesaver, and the calendar integration is top-notch. Plus, the mobile app is pretty solid. However, it can be a bit overkill if you’re just managing personal emails.
   
2. Mozilla Thunderbird: For those who prefer open-source software, Thunderbird is a great option. It’s highly customizable with tons of add-ons and themes. It supports multiple accounts and can handle different email protocols like IMAP and POP3. The downside is that it can feel a bit clunky and outdated compared to more modern solutions.
   
3. Spark: This app has a sleek design and is incredibly user-friendly. One of its best features is the Smart Inbox, which categorizes your emails for you. It also supports multiple accounts and has excellent collaboration features if you need to share emails with a team. The downside is that it’s primarily designed for Apple devices (iOS and macOS), although they do have a web version now.
   
4. Mailbird: If you’re on Windows, Mailbird is a fantastic choice. It’s very modern and integrates well with a lot of third-party apps like Google Calendar, WhatsApp, and more. It supports multiple accounts and has some nifty productivity features like a unified inbox. However, it’s not free – there’s a one-time fee or a subscription model.
   
5. ProtonMail: If privacy is your top concern, ProtonMail is the way to go. It’s encrypted end-to-end and has a strong focus on security. It supports multiple accounts, but the free tier is quite limited in terms of storage and features. The interface is clean, but it might not have all the bells and whistles that some of the other options do.
   
6. eM Client: This one’s a bit of a hidden gem. It’s very user-friendly, supports multiple accounts, and has a built-in calendar, tasks, and chat. The free version supports two accounts, but you’ll need to upgrade for more. It also has a neat feature where it can translate emails.
   
7. Airmail: Another great option for Apple users. It’s very customizable and supports a wide range of email services. Airmail’s interface is clean and modern, and it integrates well with other macOS and iOS apps. However, it’s not free, and some users report occasional bugs.
   

So, after trying out all these, I settled on Spark for my personal use because of its smart features and clean interface. For work, I stick with Outlook because of its robust integration with other Microsoft services.

This is a long post but I have connections that haven’t turned into fully formed theories but I’m curious to know if anyone else thinks these things might be related/come into play regarding Elain.
When Feyre is with Nuala and Cerridwen UTM in chapter 41 of ACOTAR, it’s the only scene that I know of in all the books where we have of actual spying, besides the brief Azriel and Cassian scene in Acosf:
Nails clicked on stone, and my escorts swapped glances before they swung me into an alcove, a tapestry that hadn’t been there a moment before falling over us, the shadows deepening, solidifying. I had a feeling that if someone pulled back that tapestry, they would see only darkness and stone. One of them covered my mouth with a hand, holding me tightly to her, shadows slithering down her arm and onto mine. She smelled of jasmine—I’d never noticed that before. After all these nights, I didn’t even know their names.(…)My escorts pressed in tighter to me, so tense that I realized they were holding their breath. Handmaidens—and spies.(…)My escort’s shadowy hand clamped tighter around my mouth, and the Attor passed on.(…)The tapestry vanished, and we slipped back into the hall. “What was that?” I said, looking from one to the other as the shadows around us lightened—but not by much. “Who was that?” I clarified. “Trouble,” they answered in unison.
On my reread that scene made me pause because I always thought the scene in ACOFAS with Feyre and Elain in the shop with the weaver was interesting. And I’ve always thought that tapestry will have something to do with Elain:
The tapestry had been woven from fabric so black it seemed to devour the light, so black it almost strained the eye (…) A sort of iridescent thread that shifted with sparks of color. Like woven starlight. “You’re thinking of getting it?” Elain asked. (…) The moment my nail touched the velvet-soft surface, it seemed to vanish. As if the material truly did gobble up all color, all light. (…) “I call it Void. It absorbs the light. Creates a complete lack of color.” “You made it?” Elain asked, now staring over her shoulder toward the tapestry. (…) “The silver thread,” Elain asked. “What is that called?” The weaver paused the loom again, the colorful strings vibrating. She held my sister’s gaze. No attempt at a smile this time. “I call it Hope.”(…) I stared and stared at the black fabric that was like peering into a pit of hell. And then stared at the iridescent, living silver thread that cut through it, bright despite the darkness that devoured all other light and color.(…) The impossible depth of blackness before me, the unlikely defiance of Hope shining through it,(…) “Feyre?” Elain was again at my side. I hadn’t heard her steps. Hadn’t heard any sound for moments.(…) “Then there would be no Hope shining in the Void.”
Elain (and Azriel) are attributed to Hope. I just always wondered why this was even a part of the story and why Elain was there for it at all. I’ll come back to the void, but here’s another ACOFAS scene that had me interested. When Rhys visits his preferred jeweler in chapter 11:
She slid the tray beneath the counter and pulled out another, her night-veiled hands moving smoothly. Not a wraith, but something similar, her tall, lean frame wrapped in permanent shadows, only her eyes—like glowing coals—visible. The rest tended to come in and out of view, as if the shadows parted to reveal a dark hand, a shoulder, a foot. Her people all master jewel smiths, dwelling in the deepest mountain mines in our court. Most of the heirlooms of our house had been Tartera-made, Feyre’s cuffs and crowns included. Neve waved a shadowed hand over the tray she’d laid out.
Nuala and Cerridwen are described so similarly to this! And it brings me to this next part. There is a scene in ACOSF where Rhys and Amren are sharing a little history lesson with Cassian and Azriel after Nesta Made her weapons:
“Once, the High Fae were more elemental, more given to reading the stars and crafting masterpieces of art and jewelry and weaponry. Their gifts were rawer, more connected to nature, and they could imbue objects with that power.”
Feyre, Art. Nesta, the Made daggers and sword. And Elain is always connected to jewelry- Graysons ring, Lucien’s earrings, Azriel’s necklace.
So… am I reaching, or does anyone think these things might be connected? Does anyone think Elain might make a trip to those mountains where the jeweler is from? Maybe Make an object with a jeweler like Nesta Made the weapons with the blacksmith? I guess I’m just wondering why the jeweler was described the way she was and if it connects with the twins at all. If there might be a reason for her to go there in her book. Like maybe… I don’t know… a call back to “Perhaps even Elain would receive an engagement ring that hadn’t been forged with hate and fear.” How about a ring forged with love and beauty?
And finally, back the void. Chapter 76 in ACOWAR when the Cauldron breaks:
The … thing in the Cauldron. Or lack of it. It was lack and substance, absence and presence.(…) in those ruins of the Cauldron … It was a void. But also not a void—a growth. It did not belong here. Belong anywhere.(…) Including that thing behind us. That hole.(…) It was a hole. Airless. No life could exist here. No light.(…) Light danced along the fissures where the broken thirds had come together. There—there I would need to forge. To weld. To bind.(…) Until the thing it contained … it was in there. Locked away.
Spoilers for HOFAS
When Bryce opens the black hole in chapter 97 near the very end of the book:
There was no air here, no warmth.(…) They had created a void that had sucked the Asteri in—the only sort of prison that might destroy a being of light. The only force in the universe that ate light, so strong no light could ever escape it. A portal to nowhere. To a black hole. Wasn’t that the unholy power that Apollion possessed? The power of the Void. The antithesis of light.(…) So she’d met their black hole with one of her own. A bigger one. A black hole—a void—to eat other black holes.(…) No more kill switch,
So when a void is mentioned, it’s all talked about exactly the same, which is why again I’m always thinking about that scene with Feyre/Elain and the tapestry. Maybe fixing the cauldron is something all the sisters do together, but it’s interesting to me that HOFAS was to set up Elain’s book and she has such strong ties to the cauldron. Going into it, being captured by it, being loved by it and gifted Sight, Feyre questioning the cauldron in regard to elain and Azriel, Azriel questioning it in regard to not being Elain’s mate(only to find out it’s corrupted the next time we see him.)
I’m wondering if Elain is that hope in the void. If she is able to fix the cauldron that adores her so much. Maybe it saw a semblance of the part of it that was corrupted when she went into it. What if she goes BACK into it? What if it gives her the opportunity to go back to being human but she chooses this time to be fae? That’s a shot in the dark but I would love something like that.

About me: I am from CSE branch and graduating this year and got placed with a package around 10 LPA on campus.
If you are considering joining this college then I assume that your percentile is in the range 97-98. Now before I discuss about the college, let's first discuss what all of you want, if your percentile is around 97-98 then you are not getting good NIT and possibly a good IIT. That means your target is to become on par with IITians and NITians after 4 years when you complete your BTech. The reason why I am mentioning this is because it will help you decide whether you should join this college or not.
Now coming to the review itself:
Let's first discuss about placements since it's the most interesting part for all. Now, I won't consider the year 2024 and year 2022 to analyse this college's placement, since both these years were quite and exception. In 2022, anyone with room temperature IQ was decently placed on the other hand in 2024 due to recession, even top coders had difficulty getting placed. You must keep these two exceptional years in mind when analysing any college's placement.
The only reason why you might be considering this college is because you must have seen the average and median slightly better than some IIIT's and lower NIT's and that's only because of startups coming to hire on campus. Now the question arises, just because a random startup (which is not even an year old) is offering me 2-3 lakhs more should I take admission in this college?
If your answer is yes then prepare yourself to pay a HEAVY price for just a gain of 2-3 lakhs in CTC. Why? Have a look at some of the factors:
Job security: Worst in startups. Work culture: Some of my friends placed in these random startups have to work 12 hours daily with toxic work culture.
Only a few MNC's like Deloitte, BNY Mellon, Media net which takes around 20-30 students total are decent enough to work in. The rest have to adjust in these random companies that will suck your life out of your body.
Therefore please think carefully, simply choosing a college based on placement can be a fatal decision and that too for 2-3 lakhs.
Now coming to academics:
The dean of academics currently is Mr. $andeep $aini, he is one of the least liked faculty in our college, he wants to make this college a blend of IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur as he says, but in this process he is completely destroying students future by giving them very strict grading. For instance in my batch 30-40 percent students have less than 7 CGPA and not because they don't study but because of this brutal grading system in which even if you top the course you will not get an A grade, it's completely ridiculous at least for CSE. The people in the academic department are also full of idiots like Raj€€v Saxena, they will not make things clear in the beginning and will not reply to your mails but I guess thats a problem with every college.
The Director:
He is the worst part of the college period. You will never see him in the college, it feels like whether he even exist or not. He has zero leadership qualities and in these four years we hardly ever interacted with him. He has an inflated ego and thinks that he is starting a revolution by making new AI buildings for research which are not even utilised. You cannot contact him easily so don't expect that you can reach him if you have some serious problem. Dude is just enjoying his life going on Europe vacations.
Faculties:
Most of the faculty are contract based, this is the worst part. They just teach for one semester then leave the college and then some new faculty comes to teach you. Although their qualifications are fine (phD from IIT). Many old faculty have recently left college too, and they are just okayish.
Infrastructure:
Very poor infrastructure, there is no auditorium and my school had a better gym and sports facility than LNMIIT. There are 3 badminton court and 3 basketball court 2 volleyball court and a lawn tennis court. The new lecture hall have AC but the old ones doesn't have them.
Attendance: 75% criteria is there.
Canteen: There is are only 4 shops, one of them which is called the Amul parlour is very unhygienic I am surprised how people eat there.
Then there another shop which sells paratha and pakoda which is usually crowded and the guy working there feels like he is in intoxicated state. I am sure that dude doesn't even know what planet he is living on! You will have to wait half hour just to get 1 paratha.
The rest two shops sells packaged items like Lays and Kurkure. So if you are hungry then eating packaged food is your only option.
There are two shops which are closed for more than an year where there used to be a restaurant, but college administration is corrupt ($amar $ingh) removed it and now closed.
Student Life:
There is very limited life in campus, so to enjoy a little bit you will have to go to Jaipur city and this is where the worst part begins, the college is 10-15 km away from city and the road between the college and city is very poor so Uber or Ola generally doesn't accept your request and if they do, be ready to shell out 500 rupees out of your pocket and that's just one way. To solve this problem the college has bus which is always overcrowded!! You will have to arrive 1 hour before the departure just to get a seat! They are accomodating 3 students in a room with capacity of 2 students, the three beds are joined and the third student doesn't even get a study table and a study chair of their own.
Mess:
Food is above average, it's good on some occasions. Definitely manageable.
TPC:
This is the only reason why this college is still relevant, people have mixed opinions about manuj sir and ashish sir but I think that they are doing a decent job. But in case they left the college then I the college placement will turn upside down.
Fees: you will be paying around 30 Laks! and will not get any brand value, it's totally NOT worth it.
Brand name: This college has no brand name and no one knows it outside Jaipur, trust me college brand name matters a lot in the industry.
Final conclusion: If you want to be on par with IITians and NITians, there are several ways, take admission in any new nit or iiit and take any placement they give. Then opt for higher studies, you can go for MS or MBA, you can switch companies. DO NOT BE GREEDY FOR JUST EXTRA 2-3 LAKH PLACEMENT.
Final advice:
Think in long term not short term, think in decades not in years! That NIT or IIIT tag will remain with you for the rest of your life.

So my class, like many, have a final research project for the end of the year. We have NO ideas because a lot of our ideas, like finding a correlation between final grade average and # of sports player, rejected because there's too many variables. Our teacher recommended we ask what students did last year, she didn't teach it last year, and those students didn't have a project to do. If anyone can help please give ideas for experiments we can perform.

Maverick Springs is adjacent to the Carlin Trend. For the uninitiated, the area contains several of the largest gold mines on Earth. The area includes a number of the largest gold mines on Earth. Maverick Springs is a blind deposit comprising a 30-120 metre thick, flat-lying zone centred on an anticlinal structure with oxidation pervasive to 120 metres and intermittent to 270 metres. (5)
West Whistler property is in the same area as Maverick, closer to the Battle Mountain Trend, alongside Carlin: Near several gold deposits, including the Cortez Mine, North America’s third largest gold mine with 2021 gold production of 828,000 ounces.
Finally, the Clover Property, 16 km west of the massive Hecla Mine in the Northern Nevada Rift. The property sits at the top and centre of the Carlin and Battle Mountain Trends.
Nevada Gold’s active Turquoise Ridge Mine, the third largest gold mine in the United States with 537,000 ounces of gold production reported in 2020, as well as the Twin Creeks open pit mines and the dormant Pinson and Getchell mines.
Element 79 has drilling programs announced for the 2023/24 years and a more vigorous program for 2024/25.

Cardero Mine

• The 84 thousand tonnes (kt) production rate in 2022 will ramp up to a peak mining production rate of 248 kt (680 tpd) in 2024. Achieving the planned peak production rate of 248 kt per annum would allow the Company to restart its previously operating El Limon Mill, with feed from Cordero in late 2023.
• El Bagre Gold Mining Complex is located approximately 167 km northeast of Medellín in the Department of Antioquia, Colombia. Soma produced 23,115 ounces of gold at its El Bagre Mill in 2022, an increase of 30% from the previous year. Soma’s production forecast for 2023 is for a further 50% increase to 35,500 ounces of gold produced.
• In addition to its operating El Bagre Mill, Soma owns the 225 tpd Limon Mill, which is located 47 km south of the El Bagre Mill. The Limon Mill has been on care and maintenance since 2020 but will be restarted when production from the Cordero Mine exceeds the capacity of the El Bagre Mill.
• The Limon Mill operates similarly to the El Bagre Mill with two-stage crushing, ball milling, gravity concentration, flotation, cyanidation, Merrill Crowe precipitation, and smelting to produce doré. The mill was upgraded in 2017 to a capacity of 225 tpd and is permitted for up to 400 tpd.

As mentioned, these three companies are similar in that they have what appear to be skookum properties. They are also all great gold proxies, and they all trade for under CDN1.00. Cheekily, I may have said that investors can own all three companies for under CDN 2.00 a share.
While I like the companies, I would buy them for their land positions. All have land that isn’t some dust pit but has either historical or proven assays. And most are near large producers. Element79; Nevada.Carlin Trend? Seriously?

I'm a 41yo mom, and I have struggled with executive functioning for years. It felt like I got pregnancy/mommy brain (with my first pregnancy 11 years ago) and then it just never went away. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago, and many of the questions her psych asked about her seemed like they also applied to me. I know that I was much more functional prior to having children - but I also avoided or quit anything that was particularly hard, and dug hard into extreme organization. Now, I feel like my brain is fractured, constantly jumping between all the things I have to handle for my kids and my family, and I struggle to mentally settle down.
I was officially diagnosed with ADHD myself about a month and a half ago, but I haven't found a med that seems to make a difference. I started on Concerta, but it gave me a spectacular migraine on the second day and a constant low-grade headache (manageable but never went away) on the second day, so I stopped taking it (and the migraine was bad enough that I don't even know if it helped with focus). My doctor switched me to Adderall XR, but I didn't feel anything at all until we hit 30mg, and even with that it's side-effects (jaw clenching, minor heart racing) but no noticeable focus improvement. We tried Vyvanse, but the second day I felt like a zombie and then had a total energy crash in the early afternoon (again, with no focus improvement) and the third day it made me angry and depressed and then also the energy crash, so I stopped that and went back to the Adderall since I still have it.
I guess I'm wondering if it's normal for people not to have any positive reaction to the primary meds, and if I should keep cycling through options? The fact that all I'm getting is side effects makes me question my entire diagnosis. Maybe it's not ADHD, and I just can't handle my life and need to find better tools? How many meds should I try before I give up on this?

Story time! Final grades were posted and of the typical various students whining about wanting unwarranted massive curves and unearned free points, one struck me as quite humorous.
Student emailed today saying he was 100% certain I made a mistake on last project grade and this affected his overall grade in the class. So of course I now have to go through all the grade info for him and check. Turns out, no shocker here, he was wrong. The real funny part? Even if I had made a mistake, it only would have added 2 overall percentage points to his grade, making his 72 a 74, which is still a final grade of C. My university doesn't do plus/minus, so 70-79 = C.
I told the student this, that the grade was not wrong, but EVEN IF IT WAS, it still would not have made a difference and they still would have been a massive over half a letter grade away from the next letter grade. Their grade would not change either way, even if they were right.
The student was so dense they didn't even realize basic math, they didn't even realize what they were arguing. Their claim of wanting points back was so moronic it floored me.
Students are so blinded by just the sheer expectation to grade-grub that they don't even know what they're arguing for most of the time. They just want to question our authority and demand points because we surely must be wrong. They're equally as unintelligent as they are entitled. I used to get well thought-out, creative attempts at grade-grubbing, but that's long gone in the past, now they're all just baseless claims rooted in deep stupidity. Anyone else notice this?

Not much of a handyman or arts/craftsy here but I'm going to start a project and it requires pinning a book onto something. Throwaway account for privacy, I don’t think that anyone I know is on reddit but still I don’t want this post on my main. I’m (38f) married to (45m) we have 3 kids in between us . We were both married before except that I was a widow and he was divorced. I was 21 when i married my first husband and around 22 when i had my daughter . My first husband died in a car accident that we both sustained and I was left with extended recovery and back surgeries that took place over the course of 4 years after the accident . Our daughter was few months old when she lost her father. And for my husband he was divorced when the kids were young, my husband is an art professor and a sculptor. I met him when he was an expat in my country contracted for a big art project, he had been in the country with his kids for a year when I met him.
I will have to skip a lot of details about our life together to avoid making this post too long to read. Anyway we got married nine years ago . We have always been a happy family . We have always treated You all the kids equally up until now .
For some background regarding my own family . I have two older siblings and I’m very close to the oldest . The oldest has been always more of a father figure to me than an older sibling. When our father passed away he divided inheritance in form of company shares that he took the responsibility to run , properties and cash. Despite my middle brother and me being adults , we have always depended on our oldest brother to run everything for us as he is the head of our family . We have the family accountant that handle our affairs and no expense has ever been questioned including all the expenses related to my stepchildren. My brother is a very kind hearted man but he believes blood ties are above any other tie. He made sure that the kids in our family understand the importance of putting family above anything and anyone else that the kids grew up to be like a mini clan in terms of their loyalty to each other. my brother discussed with me before that our family sponsorship commitment to my stepchildren ends with them graduating university.
Fast forward to when our predicament started. My oldest stepchild was video calling his grandmother about summer plans and expressing how excited he was for almost turning 17 and how he plans to ask for his “ turning 17 property” to be in their home country where he already started applying for universities and how this will help him a lot to be settled after he graduates . The turning 17 property is a tradition that was started by my father when we were around the same age , he would sit down with us discussing where we want to go to university and why and he would gift us a property in the city where we went to study . My father pushed us to study abroad to find independence away from family care. My brother carried out the same tradition with his kids and my nephews , he even had the same conversation with my daughter although she is still 16 but he has always given my daughter special treatment since she was orphaned as a baby.
I discussed with my husband our son’s expectation of receiving inheritance, and although my husband thinks that this is an unreasonable expectation he still feels very hurt that this whole issue will create discrepancies in our family that has never been there. I explained that getting the same latest gadgets, trips and life style is something different than getting an inheritance. My husband responded that if he had the means he would get the properties for his kids and still claim it was gifted from my side of the family to avoid his kids feeling like they didn’t belong to my side of the family after all these years. I could still fund those properties from my personal accounts to keep the piece but there is a possibility of my brother finding out and I know that this will upset him as we had a previous agreement
