I love this sub so much! I've learned of brands I've never heard of and wanted to return the favor. I created a list of brands we love in this sub with hyperlinks! They are in alphabetical order because I couldn't possibly rank these as we have quite the range of loves!
I thought it'd be nice to include well-known brands for anyone just getting their start in their handbag journey.
I hope you found this fun! Happy to edit this list for any ones that I missed!

2024.05.16 19:37 ArcticFox921 Need help finding a vocaloid song

Please help, I really need to find this song it’s bothering me so much. I cannot remember the title, but I’m like 70% sure the title is English/has English in the title with Japanese
I’m really positive that the voice was Miku.
The video was an MV, so it wasn’t just a still image for the whole vid, but I believe most of the animation consisted of still/slightly animated images and camera effects (I can’t recall exactly, it wasn’t, like, animated characters, tho—that’s what I remember. And it definitely was not MMD) and the imagery was kinda similar to PinocchioP (who is one of my top favorite vocaloid producers, so at first I thought it was from them, but I’m pretty sure it is not) but a little more edgy looking and less of a use of character animation. The content of the video was very consistent, it stayed the same style and setting and used a lot of the same bits several times. The music video jumped around a decent amount, it was one of the more chaotic (in a good way) MVs but not anywhere near as chaotic as, like, Kikuo. I feel like there was some flashy-ness and quick color changes/flashes but I’m not super positive on that.
I remember clearly that there was a strong motif of skeletons, including a Miku skeleton (or maybe just her skull, I just remember a skull with her hair or clothes lol) in the music video. There was also a motif of the earth. The art style was not really anime, it was a more realistic and edgy feeling style, at least I think so. I don’t remember it showing much of Miku, but she was herself in the vid, not an OC, at least that’s what I remember. The art style for some reason makes me think of newspapers? Like, it felt handmade or cut-out, if that makes sense. But it was not black in white, however. It had mostly dark colors. It might have been sort of a typography kind of thing ( animated lyric video ) but honestly I don’t remember at all if the words were on the screen or just in captions (I always use captions anyway so)
The lyrics I’m pretty positive were in Japanese, but it’s possible it was in English. Anyway, they had something to do with people being stuck on their traditional beliefs and being very stubborn and close minded (idk if that was the official meaning tho, I’m pretty sure that was just what I read a lot in the comments and understood from the lyrics). If it were in Japanese, it definitely had English subtitles. I think some people speculated it was in the perspective that Miku was an extraterrestrial being judging humans, tho that was just theory too I’m pretty sure.
I also remember the comments talking about how this kind of song/video was different compared to this creator’s previous work, but a lot of people liked it regardless. I think there were lots of comments comparing their new stuff to their old stuff. I have no idea what the creators name is tho. With that memory, I think that this song was probably newer rather than older (but not super new either I don’t think, like it wasn’t made this year or anything, I watched it a long while ago. Most likely mid-late 2010s). I thought that their name began with K or M but honestly I have no idea, it could be anything.
I know this feels like a lot of random info lol, but it’s bothering me so much and everytime I search up “Miku song with her skeleton in it” it shows me “skeleton orchestra” which is not it and “ miku” by anamanaguchi for some weird reason. It was also not bacterial contamination. I have watched a lot of top 100 vocaloid or guess the vocaloid song and have not seen it in any. So, it’s not super popular. But, it’s very likely that the artist is popular, and this was a less popular song. I am pretty positive that YouTube recommended it to me and that’s how I found it.
I can picture it really well (I’m a super visual person) but I can’t think of any words/titles/authors. If someone could help, or at least give me a better way to search for it myself, that would be much appreciated.
Here is a short version of my info lol i yap a lot:
-Miku was the singer
-Title very likely had English.
-Likely in Japanese, but could have been English
-Almost certainly not from the 2000s, I’d say most likely mid-late 2010s.
-Definitely had English subtitles, either YouTube CC or in-video OC, even if the video was in English.
-Not well known (but author is very possibly well known)
-Had MV (not a still image)
-MV was not complicated- lots of repeated bits with mostly camera effects and still/slightly animated images.
-Strong motif of Skeletons
-Motif of Earth
-Miku skeleton (had her hair or her clothes)
-Similarish MV imagery style to Pinocchio-P but more edgy looking and less character-based
-Somewhat chaotic MV (potential flashing colors/lights)
-MV stayed consistent in style and setting.
-Not MMD
-Not an animation centered on characters (barely showed Miku)
-Miku was Miku, not an OC
-Art style was more realistic and edgy rather than anime or chibi
-Mostly dark colors
-Art style reminded me of newspapers for some reason (maybe felt handmade/cut-out)
-Lyrics were thought to be about people being closed minded and rigid with their beliefs/judgement
-I feel like there were people speculating if miku was an extraterrestrial being in the vid
-Comments frequently discussed this creator’s new vs. old work.
-Comments claimed this song/ video was different than the creator’s previous work (but still liked it)
-Not skeleton orchestra
-Not bacterial contamination

2024.05.16 19:29 WastelandViking Sling/shoulder or backpack?

I will be buying a Shimoda action x50, for my camping "in country " needs, and general huffing it like activities.
But this will be way too massive to use in parks, zoos/museums, the beach and in the streets. On sporadic vacations/trips/daily outings in Norway and in Europe at large...
My family also agreed to do more family trips. my brother and his gf +kids, mom . Sister ND husband and kids and me , the designated picture taker
So im looking for something lighter and tighter for such occasions. (Than the x50 v2 shimoda)
My gear is: Ulanzi F38 travel tripod. Sony a6400 Sony 70-350mm Sigma 56 (Soon a ultra wide) .
Would be great to fit extra battery sd cards. Lenses. Powerbank. Cloth+lense blower thingy. Sunglasses/keys Maybe a bottle or snacks/small nicknacks*
I am almost allergic to stoping and dropping to grab my camera out of the bag, everytime i need it.. Or putting it away.
Wich is why shouldesling or belted seems appealing...
Issue i see come up here online, is ergonomics/strain. And as most older members in my family has back issues....
Some also say they aren't wearherproof/secure.
If not a "sling', then have a backpack with side access or a backpack i can snap a shoulder clip onto.
Been looking at: Shimoda E or Urban E. Think Tank Peak design.
I would greatly appreciate help finding a "everyday/family vacation-ey " bag/backpack.
Feel free to suggest anything.. All inputs and help are greatly appreciated.

2024.05.16 19:29 ThrowRARedChuck My wife (35M, 35F) acts like (and tells people) I'm misogynist and lazy, when I am absolutely not those things. What can I do to get her to stop?

I have issues just like most people, but mine aren't about being misogynist or lazy. My issues are that I work a lot (owner), sometimes letting work bleed into my personal time. I can be emotionally shut off at times, and I'm not great at getting my kids dressed or doing their hair before events. I procrastinate on large projects. I'm self-deprecating and aware of my faults. If my wife criticizes me for these things, I agree with her.
However, I am good at working hard, staying busy and involved, helping my kids with school and sports, cleaning up around the house, and ensuring my family has the means to do what they want financially and time-wise.
Being Lazy
My wife often tells people I am lazy and don't clean up, which is not true. I spend at least an hour every day cleaning, sometimes several hours once a week or two. I contribute about 40% to household cleaning compared to her 60% (she's a stay-at-home mom, and I work full-time). I handle tasks like cooking, changing cat litter boxes, doing dishes, paying bills, arranging professional services, cleaning stains off the floor, transporting clothes to/from the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, taking out the trash, wiping down windows and mirrors, sweeping, mopping, organizing things, my own laundry, removing trash and dishes from everyone's rooms, and taking the kids to school and activities.
Despite this, she tells people I'm like her third child who needs everything done for him, which is a complete mischaracterization. It's also extremely rude to say to people about me. I'm proud of who I am and how hard I work -- to have it shot down like that is wild to me. When we first met over a decade ago, I was messy, but I've changed significantly and have different priorities now. I know I share nearly as much responsibility as her in maintaining our household. If I ever mention something she didn't do or did wrong, it turns into an all-day fight.
I'm timid, I don't fight, and I never nitpick her (unless I'm aggravated and finally let out some kind of criticism back after she hammers me for days), yet she nitpicks me daily without me being allowed to take offense.
Being a Misogynist
My wife accuses me of mansplaining whenever I explain something to her. If there's a tool she doesn't know how to use or if I have thoughts on something, she calls it mansplaining. I cannot explain anything to her with it being called mansplaining. She portrays me as a husband who just works and then comes home to do nothing, which isn't true. My only free time is an hour after midnight once everyone is asleep.
She watches a lot of TikTok videos on self-worth and lazy husbands, and applies things she sees there to me. While she is welcome to her own opinions, if they aren't at all realistic, I can't just lay down and take that. She compares me to husbands who truly do nothing at home, which is far from my reality. I don't mind everything I contribute, but it's frustrating when my efforts are not just ignored, but I'm told I do the exact opposite. I feel gaslit. She does this with everyone in her life really -- she says she needs to focus on her and that people are toxic and taking away from that. And when I tell her what she is doing, she tells me I am gaslighting her.
I'm not perfect, but I have always valued women as equals, if not superior to many men in a lot of ways. I was raised this way and do not believe in traditional gender roles. I support women in the workplace and their ability to live their own lives and desires. I make fun of toxic masculinity and I always tell people I'm happy to have daughters. I'm like the only socially liberal minded man I know in a sea of conservative men around here who are actually like she describes.
This situation keeps getting worse, and I don't know what to do to make it stop. Thanks for any advice!

2024.05.16 19:24 RooEsqJR CRIMINAL CHARGES and what you should know, 2024 edition

Hey fellow Roovians…it’s been so long! This will be similar to my last post from 2023 as usual!

I’m still working as an associate attorney for Mitchell & Mitchell, and have been practicing almost 3 years now doing exclusively criminal work.

I am really excited to carry on the tradition of helping this community of wonderful Redditors by giving information…and I’ll answer what questions I can! I believe that I can be a voice for your questions and concerns, as well as the voice and contact person for my LOCAL firm here in Middle Tennessee.

In my 2023 post, I mentioned that I am a long-time attendee of Bonnaroo. This will be my 12th consecutive year! As a somewhat newly licensed attorney, I can answer most of your questions, and if I cannot I have been given explicit permission from the managing partner of my firm to relay questions that I am unsure of directly to him and give you the best and most accurate information. Although I am new as an attorney (3 years officially last month), I’m in an extremely unique learning and working situation, as my supervising attorney, Jack Mitchell, has been practicing locally in criminal defense for over 30 years. That’s in addition to having a great working relationship with the district attorney assigned to Bonnaroo cases.

I wanted to continue the tradition of this post because I do believe that people on this sub get some good benefit from it and share details of the process for handling charges that can change from year to year. This is a place to ask questions you may have, and I will try to answer everything I can (and if not, I will do my best to get the answer for you). As someone who loves attending Bonnaroo and being part of the community there, I hope you don’t need this information, but it is here in case you do.

The current elected District Attorney brought changes to the way criminal charges resulting from the festival were handled. In years past, criminal citations and charges were treated differently during Bonnaroo. Those who caught charges (defendants) were sent a letter from the District Attorney’s Office and the Court Clerk indicating that with the payment of a fine, the charges would be dismissed or retired after a certain period of time. The more serous the offense, the larger the fine assessed.

The last several years, criminal charges resulting from Bonnaroo were supposed to be treated the same as every other crime in Coffee County. However, what we found is that the process for festival offenses is still much different than the process used the rest of the year, and we expect more of the same this year.

What does this mean for you? If you are arrested or cited for any criminal offense while you are in Coffee County for Bonnaroo, you will have to make regular court appearances (REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE CITING OFFICER TELLS YOU) or have a licensed attorney appear on your behalf, and you will be prosecuted through the justice system. It’s annoying, for sure, but if you don’t show, and don’t have permission to not appear, the penalties could increase.

Probably the best advice we could give you when dealing with law enforcement is to exercise your right to remain silent. Along with this, you should not willingly consent to the search of your person, bags, vehicle, or campsite (other than when you enter the tollbooths). An officer may go ahead and search anyway, but giving consent immediately removes any chance of suppressing the contraband they find.

We understand that sometimes unfortunate things happen, and at Bonnaroo it is usually a case of bad luck and timing rather than bad people or actions. If you find yourself in this situation and need the assistance of an attorney, you can contact us through Reddit, at (615) 896-4211, [emily@mitchellattorneys.com](mailto:emily@mitchellattorneys.com), or through our website at mitchellattorneys.com. We can work with you on fees and will try to minimize travel and costs for out of state clients.

The major benefit of retaining an attorney with knowledge of the system is most of the leg work and negotiation can be done prior to the first time you are required to be in court. For most of our clients in past years, they were only required to make one court appearance, and for others (depending on the charges and criminal history) we were able to completely avoid the need for their appearance in court. Almost everyone we represented in past years was able to keep the conviction off their record and have their charges expunged.

Every situation is different, but our knowledge of the local judicial system and professional relationship with the District Attorney’s office will help ensure the most favorable result for your individual case. I will be on the farm experiencing the festival as always, and I’ll have koozies and business cards with me, lol! Enjoy your time in Middle Tennessee and at Roo. Also, look for our sign prior to entering and, like the sign says, take a picture JUST IN CASE.

*NEW INFO FOR THIS YEAR (2024)\*
Last year there were only a little over 20 arrests made. The number of citations given was also significantly low for the number of people attending. An assistant district attorney told me this information and stated those numbers will absolutely be different this year. So I wanted y’all to be very aware of that!

**TLDR:*\* while this whole post is informative, basically this is about Coffee County’s Bonnaroo citation procedures and helpful information

2024.05.16 19:07 cfalnevermore My Messed Up Town: The Weird Nocturnal Hippy Chick

Here we are again in the shit stew that is the Fallowveil trailer park. We’ve got soul eating strippers, jobs that kill us, and plenty of weirdos, both the trailer trash and the potentially paranormal variety. It’s the place where even your own computer sometimes threatens to kill you. I can’t tell if I should be worried, or annoyed that all my neighbors have such irresponsible web habits. I know it’s not me that brings in all these machine wiping viruses.
So even though I got a system error that literally said “you’re useless and you should die” I’m less interested in that. Stupid thing. Like I don’t already know I’m useless. That’s not what I’m depressed about.
Well… I suppose it's tangentially related.
I hope anyone reading will forgive me. I’m feeling the sting of rejection right now. It was really stupid of me to ask. Especially now. Nobody here really likes me. They’ve only been nice to me as a courtesy because I was almost involved in a god damn shootout. And my idiot self decided that was the perfect time to push one of my few friends all the way away. Never ask your friends out on dates. It ruins everything.
So there’s this woman. I’ve talked about her in the past. Trista Ramone. She lives in the far back corner of the trailer park. You can instantly tell which unit is hers because she’s covered every square inch of the property with gardens and a rabbit hutch. The place usually has beads and colorful flags hanging on its walls as well. She’s kind of a right winger’s nightmare. I know some of those flags represent various lgbtq plus communities.
She and I have been friendly in the past. We’re both night shift workers. We crossed paths quite a bit going to and from work so we struck up a friendship over the years.
Let’s just ripped the band aid off. Recently I’ve started thinking I had… stronger feelings for Trista. I got stupid and decided to tell her about them. She wasn’t interested. I get why. We have very different lifestyles. I like meat, and she thinks the meat industry is murder. I’m not willing to give up meat, and she’s not willing to give up her beliefs. It's as simple as that. Now things are incredibly awkward with one of my closer friends and I’m still spiraling into self loathing, where I belong.
She swore up and down that she absolutely still wants to be friends with me, but I’m not sure I believe her. The look she gave me when I told her I’d like to ask her out. It looked like sadness, but a small part of me is convinced it was pity, or worse, disgust and loathing, and that small part gave me ever shuts the fuck up. But anyway, she gave me permission to write about her.
She is one of the creepy fixtures of our little neighborhood after all. She told me to make her seem as insane and scary as I possibly could and that she should get to kill me at the end. She also handed me a few of her high school yearbooks, advised me to chat with another neighbor of ours who she went to school with, and to only use creepy rumors for the rest.
Part of me is really willing to describe her as awful, but that’s just my anger. I don’t like that part of me. Trista’s not a bad person at all. She’s just weird and she doesn’t want to date me. God damn it, Petunia’s right. I need therapy.
So, I’ve told the story of the sexy, scary lady living in a polycule here in the trailer park. I think she’s got a bigger heart than she lets on. I’ve talked about the stories surrounding the Schroeder Slaughterhouse. Now let’s talk about the hippy everyone thinks is a vampire.
She’s a taller woman, maybe five-seven or eight, and she’s skinny. Her typical wardrobe is… interesting. Try to imagine your typical new-age hippy/stoner girl, wearing colorful sarongs, crop-tops, beanies, baggy sweaters, T-shirts with colorful sayings on them, sandals, boots woven from some sort of exotic plant, beaded necklaces, bracelets, a few too many piercings and some intricate tattoos. Can you picture that kind of person? Well, take that and dip them in “goth” dye. Everything is black, and contrasts to her pale white complexion, her eyes are this unusual violet color, and then make the woman wearing all that seem kind of depressed about something. That’s the look Trista has going on. Like if Wednesday Addams was forced to dress up for Hippy Day.
I’ve heard people call her an emo vampire, but as a former emo myself, she doesn’t fill out all the criteria. She doesn’t typically wear any super tight pants or cake on the eyeshadow. I guess she’s just Trista. It might sound weird (and it is) but the whole thing suits her. Her style, tattoos, and complexion all create this image of skinny vampiric waif with a mysterious past and a freaky sarcastic attitude and I found the whole thing… kinda hot.
Trista keeps to herself. She’s made the most out of her little corner of the trailer park. Like I said, she decked out her unit with garden squares, and a Rabbit pen. No idea why she’s allowed to do that. A lot of these places don’t allow pets. I heard she was also trying to put in a beehive too, but her neighbors are fighting her on that one. Our park is a bit too condensed for bees. She has a permit to grow hemp, but of course it’s not for recreational use. She treats it and uses it to weave things like handbags, clothes, and other stuff. There’s a consignment store in town that sells all kinds of things Trista has crafted herself. So she’s handy and self sufficient too. She paints, she carves wood, she weaves, she crochets, she sews, and who knows what else. She’s so good at her little crafts that apparently she’s able to support herself just selling them and working part time at the Moonlight Inn outside of town.
She’s also relatively friendly. I almost feel bad calling her weird, but here’s the thing, I’ve seen some REALLY weird shit. People jokingly call her a vampire, and she seems to embrace that, but part of me seriously wonders. The big clue is, like I mentioned, she’s completely nocturnal. She’s always asleep during the day, and every blind and curtain is drawn tight. The one time she came out during the day, she had on this full body suit with a helmet with UV glass and everything. Even then, she only showed up to give Petunia a hug, before leaving again.
That was the first time I saw Trista, come to think of it. I was kind of intrigued. It was kind of hard not to be when someone shows up to a community cookout in a freaking astronaut suit. I approached Petunia after she left.
“Who the heck was that?” I wondered.
“MASON! I’m so glad you could make it! You’ve been here about three months now! How’d that job interview go?”
“Oh. It went well. I might be doing janitorial work soon.”
“Night shift?”
“Maybe. I’m not sure.”
“If it’s the night shift, you’ll definitely meet the person who just left. That’s Trista. She’s the girl with the rabbits in the far corner. Poor girl. She’s got a really bad skin condition. Can’t let sunlight touch her.”
“Oh. Is she like… albino or something?”
“No, she’s got pigment. I don’t remember what the condition is called. I guess it started in high school or something. You’d have to ask her. And hey! If you work the night shift, you’ll probably get to chat with her!”
Petunia wasn’t wrong. I started working as a nighttime janitor for a number of local businesses. That was when I first started noticing the pale goth hippy. She rides around on a moped, with her dark hair and her sarong barely billowing behind her. I couldn’t see her face through the helmet, but she waved to me as she passed by.
The next time I saw her, she was jogging, but here’s where it gets weird. When I first stepped outside, all I saw was a blur. It actually startled me as I whipped toward it, but then there was this skinny tattooed pixie, somehow still looking like a stonehippy/vampire in jogging gear. I swear she was moving inhumanly fast when I first noticed her. That was when we introduced ourselves. She actually jogged over to say hello.
“Hey! You’re the new guy right?”
“Oh, uh, yeah. My name’s Mason!” I reached out to shake the pretty girl’s hand, like an awkward loser. She smirked and shook my hand. Her grip was weirdly strong, and a bit cold.
“I’m Trista. I’m the weirdo in the back with the rabbits.”
“Trista… oh, are you the one who has a thing with sunlight? I think Petunia mentioned you.”
“Yup! That’s me. Xerodoma pigmentosum. Sunlight hurts. I hate that it hurts.” She lamented.
“That’s gotta be rough,” I said sympathetically.
“You get used to it. You work at night?”
“Yeah. Works better for me.”
“I get that.”
And so on and so on. She’s pretty cool, with a bit of hilarious snark in there. And she secretly procured recreational weed she was willing to share. I kept working the night shift just hoping for another chance to talk to her and possibly buy a joint. Eventually she invited me over to share a joint. The inside of her place was actually pretty sparse and spartan compared to the outside. Though she was a fan of hanging beads. Most of the main room was taken up by her various crafting projects and supplies. Hemp weaves, some paintings, and even a wood carving of what I think was a rabbit, but it wasn’t anywhere near complete.
I followed her to her kitchen where she reached into the very back of her pantry and pulled out a shoebox. Inside was her stash, but there was something else which I found very strange. It was a pack of syringes and a thing I assume is to sterilize syringes. I know what you’re thinking, and that was my first thought too. It’s a poor neighborhood, the woman already smokes weed illegally, it’s not that big a shock that maybe she was involved in other drugs too. I decided not to ask at the time. We shared our joint, and we laughed, a lot. She made fun of me for being a lightweight, while I got completely hypnotized staring at the patterns of a shawl she had woven.
Months went by and we got closer, but I couldn’t forget those syringes. After a while I got worried. I’ve seen what heroine does to people. So the next time I went over to smoke and eat (vegan) pizza with her, I asked.
“Trista? Are you using anything other than weed?”
“Drugs?”
“Yeah.”
“No. Why?”
“You can tell me if you are.”
“Mason, sweetheart, I’m a stoner. I don’t fuck around with anything else and I never have.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“Okay. Can I ask what that set of syringes are for?”
“Oh. In my stash box? Those are… part of my condition. I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Oh. Is it like… embarrassing?”
“Yeah. So don’t ask. Can we just watch a movie?”
So I don't ask anymore. But I still have no idea what she does with those syringes. Based on what I read about that Xerodoma Pigmentosum thing she says she has, I have no clue what she would need to inject herself with.
Another time she asked me to check on her rabbits for her during the day, as her usual “sitter” had something come up. All I had to do was chop up the lettuce and carrots she left out. As I was enjoying the adorable fluffy faces, one of Trista’s neighbors, a woman named Bridget, poked her head outside her door.
“Hey. Do you know what Trista injects those rabbits with?”
“I… what?”
“I’ve seen her use syringes on those rabbits. She said she was just giving them medicine, but I swear I see her inject them every week.”
“I… I wouldn't know. She just asked me to feed them.”
“I love Trista, but that always seemed so weird. She has to know vaccines are a hoax!” I tuned the woman out after that one. My mind was on that set of syringes. Why would she be using them on rabbits? These things were her pets.
I was starting to crush on her by then. But I couldn’t help feeling weirded out by that. I was actually going to confront her, but the next time I came to visit, she was literally inside the Rabbit hutch, on her back, squealing with delight as her rabbit friends nuzzled and played with her.
“Bonnibelle! That tickles! Marcy! No chewing. Finn? Watch where you’re sticking that foot! Jake? Where are you? EEEEE Lumpy! Not the neck!”
It was as silly and adorable as it sounds. She was forced to whip herself upright when two of her little friends tried to burrow under her dress. She finally stood up with a laugh, cradling a rabbit in her arms and cooing at it.
There was just no way in hell this woman was doing anything that would hurt these animals. Bridget is a paranoid antivax weirdo anyway. If Trista was using syringes on the rabbits, I was convinced it was only for their benefit.
So life went on. I got more and more reclusive over the years. Petunia, Trista, and my next door neighbor Fred were the only things keeping me remotely connected to the outside. And so we get to now. So let’s see. What are the stories about the weird vampire woman?
Well, there’s the fact that she jogs at night, solo, in a poor neighborhood. Petunia keeps the shitty people contained and behaving for the most part, but I still wouldn’t exactly call it safe, especially for a young skinny woman. But she does it without a care in the world.
There’s one strange event that some people like to connect to this. I never knew this guy, but from what I hear he was a total weirdo who leered at anyone even remotely female. And this is despite the fact he was married. His name was Josh.
I remember him a bit. He’s the guy that Petunia chased away from one of her barbecues. Supposedly he was heard saying inappropriate things to the groups of ten year old girls that were playing in the bounce house Petunia rented. Telling them how pretty they were. Trying to coax them to take off their jackets. Police reports were filed but ultimately nothing could be proven. The guy's wife, Carole, always defends him for some reason.
But anyway, I remember hanging out with Trista one night a little over a year ago. She hadn’t gone jogging like she normally did. I asked her what was up with that.
“That weirdo, Josh has started catcalling when I pass his place. It weirds me out.”
“There aren’t other people who do that at night? I’m still shocked you jog alone.”
“Not like this. I can flip off a wolf whistler. But this guy… he keeps trying to get me to stop and talk to him, and when I don’t? He shouts about my ass. I’m gonna have to talk to Petunia about that shithead, if anybody can reign him in, it’s her.”
I’m gonna guess she never got a chance. Two days later, the whole town was awoken by sirens. I was getting ready for my shift when I heard them. I walked down the road a bit to see if I could figure out what was going on. The cops were heading toward the other side of the park, so I couldn’t see much. But I did notice Trista, in her jogging gear, skulking in the shadows. I wondered if she was in trouble. But before I could call out to her, she sprinted straight to Petunia's house and banged on the door. Petunia welcomed her inside, and that was all I saw. I still wasn’t sure what was going on, so I just shrugged and headed to work, figuring I’d text Trista later.
I didn’t learn till later that Josh was found dead. He was lying prone, face down, partly hidden by bushes at the edge of the park. His neck was cut open. He’d bled out rapidly. He had a knife in his hand, and officially it’s believed he fell on it and accidentally killed himself. There was a cocktail of drugs in his system so most people accept that explanation. But others swear they saw Trista out for her jog around the same time Josh would have been bleeding to death. She got questioned, and she swore she didn’t see anything. Without evidence, there was nothing else that could be proven.
Trista’s a friend. I know that guy was being creepy to her. So I’m happy to take her word for what happened, even if my seeing her going to Petunia’s pokes a bit of a hole in that. I can’t be sure it was Trista though. So I’m not saying a word. But if a certain creep attacked a certain lady who is rumored to be a vampire, it’s not that surprising to me that he ended up dead after bleeding to death. I’m not all that broken up about it.
I’m not the one spreading that story. Josh’s wife was the one who started the rumor. So now some people are even more convinced that the weird nocturnal hippy chick is secretly a vampire.
She’s no killer. No matter what they say. She would only have defended herself.
So that’s all the stories I’ve heard that have any credibility to them. There’s more people who swear she and Petunia perform weird rituals, and people who saw her moving “inhumanly fast” and such.
But now I have to share what I found in the yearbooks Trista gave me. I wasn’t really expecting much. I checked her senior yearbook out first. She looks about the same. Pale, goth, hippy, and sort of sad. She kind of looks even sadder in these photos if I’m being honest, but that’s high school for you. She graduated in the top half of her class, no sports or extracurriculars. I’m left wondering how she managed to go to school at the time of sun was so bad for her. I’ll have to ask her about that. So nothing really new there.
It was the yearbook from her junior year where things got really interesting. I was in shock when I found her. Trista is somehow impossible to miss, but unrecognizable all at once. She’s full of color! She wore more typical tie dye hippy attire. Bright vibrant pinks, reds, blues, greens, and yellows, in every photo, and holy shit was she busy. Captain of the soccer team, first chair flutist, president of the “green living” club and the “vegan alliance,” top ten in her class, it was all incredible. I think the main reason I didn’t recognize her was her skin. It was tan, as though she were out in the sun a lot. Furthermore there were photos of her playing sports and standing outside in bright sunlight.
It was like her disease wasn’t there, which confused me. She told me it was something called Xeroderma Pigmentosa. But that’s a genetic condition. She would have had that from birth.
I sent her a text, wondering about this.
- Hey! Just went through your yearbooks. What happened? You had color? Did you discover Linkin Park?
- My disease happened. Right at the end of Jr. year. That’s why I wasn’t there for the final class photo.
- But your disease is genetic… isn’t it?
- I guess it was dormant in me.
- So it just… happened?
- Pretty much.
- I’m sorry.
- I got over it. Mostly. It was hard. My parents were both hardcore vegan naturalists and we lived in a place that was all natural light and such, so I had to live in a shed for a bit while they built a space for me. But in my family? We kinda lean into whatever life throws at us. It took months of depression to come to terms with it. All of a sudden I couldn’t be out in the sun, and I had new dietary needs that absolutely required non-vegan sources. So I leaned into it. I was a vampire now. I can dig dark colors and “vampire style.” I could make it my own by avoiding leather. And I’d be as vegan as I possibly could.
- You’re kind of awesome.
- Damn straight. So I learned to love the night too and now, here I am.
I gained new respect for her after that. Frankly I feel kinda shitty about making fun of her for being a vampire. There might not be anything paranormally weird about her after all.
She sent me one more text telling me I should talk to a guy named Frankie. She’d gone to school with him. He’s a decent enough guy. Works in the Bicounty mall in town.
I had to wait a day or two for another of Petunia’s get togethers to talk to him.
“Hey!” I said awkwardly as I tried to figure out how to strike up conversation with someone I haven’t really spoken to in a long time. “Frankie, right?”
“Oh. Yeah. Been a while. How are you Mason? You okay after that whole thing at Red Nights?”
“I’m trying to be. Look, I’ll cut to the chase. You went to school with Trista Ramone, right?”
“Ol’ Boho Ramone? Yeah. We were sort of friendly. But I was a jerk to vegans back then. Why do you ask?”
“I’ve been hanging out with her. She’s being all mysterious.” He chuckled at that. “She said I should talk to you to learn more about her… weirdness? Everyone thinks she’s a vampire now.”
“She’s totally a vampire. I have no idea what else to call her?”
“Why do you say that?”
“What did she tell you about school?”
“Nothing. She just showed me two yearbooks. Between Junior and Senior year she went from colorful club president, to lonely vampire, because of her disease.”
“Nah man. I don’t want to talk bad about her. But she was kind of a bitch, junior year. She wasn’t just a colorful vegan. She was one of those “holier than thou” types who scoffed and talked down to anyone who dared to eat meat. Her “hippy” thing meant she never hung out with the popular girls but still, she acted like she owned the place at times. I was friends with this weird guy named Steven Jones. He was just kind of a weirdo. Skulking around in the background, you know? He HATED Trista. For a while I totally understood. I thought she was kinda stuck up. But this guy was like… irrationally enraged by that girl’s existence. I guess he tried to ask her out when he was a freshman and she politely declined. But he took that shit personally.”
“Huh. So like… why’s that matter?”
“Because Steven kept saying to anyone who gave him a second look, that he was gonna ‘ruin’ her. Never elaborated. But then the last month of school rolls around, Trista gets assaulted by an unknown assailant and a week later she’s got this new disease. Meanwhile, Steven spent a week strutting around the school looking smug, and saying ‘she got what she deserved.’ Then he disappears too. Teachers said he moved away.”
“She was assaulted?”
“Yeah. Someone in a face wrap tackled her while she was at one of her protests at the meat factory. The dude freaking BIT her.”
“Jesus.”
“Yeah. I was there. I came to the protest. I’ll admit I was trying to hit on Trista or one of the other girls there. But yeah. Dude dressed in all gray with a face wrap just charged in and went right for Trista. Knocked her down, bit her like a freaking zombie, then ran away before anyone could stop him. Didn’t even take his face wrap off. It was freaky, man.”
“What the actual fuck.”
“That’s what we all said. Trista needed a stitch. But while she was at the hospital, I guess she started getting more symptoms. She was out for the rest of the year. From then on, she was like she is now. Total vampire.”
“Was Steven a vampire?”
“I dunno. Probably. Little dickhead is what he is. Must have been him that attacked Trista, but nobody could prove it. Bite mark didn’t match or something. So why are you asking? You hang out with her at night right? You asking her out or something?”
“Oh. No. Just a friend.”
That was all I really learned from Frankie. It’s quite a story, and it’s full of unknowns that Trista refuses to explain. So I guess I’ll let readers be the judge. Is she a “real” vampire? Or just a weirdo? All I know is, she’s totally standing behind me right now and now I’m dead. Bleh.
I did come back to life to talk to Trista once I finished writing this. She enjoyed it. I may as well include that interaction.
I went to her place on my night off. She read my take on her and what the neighbors thought and she grinned. “Ha! I’m a total monster!” She chuckled. “So. What do YOU think, Mason? Am I a vampire?” She cocked an eye and playfully gnashes her teeth at me, making a pleasant little click.
I sighed. “No idea. You’re Trista. And… you’re my friend. I’m sorry if I made things awkward.”
She looked surprised by that. “Aw. Thanks Mason. You’re my friend too. It’s okay. I’m flattered.”
“You don’t have to explain.”
“So we’re cool?”
“Absolutely not. We’re both weird shut ins.” She laughed. It was good to hear her laugh. It made me happy.
“Yeah but I got the ‘mysterious vampire’ thing going.”
“You have dirt in your hair from rolling around with bunnies. And you’re a vegan.”
“Bite me.”
“Says the vampire.”
“You know, if I were a vampire, I could have bitten you when we both went to the slaughterhouses a few weeks ago.”
“That just makes me stupid.”
“You’re not stupid, Mason. You’re not a loser either.”
“So. You know of any other good spooky town stories that I can do next?
“Oh, sure. You ever heard the tale of Salome? She was a witch who would mash up the seeds of a Sinapis Alba plant to make a diabolical potion she’d dump on herself. They called her the ‘Witch of the Sands.’”
I’m embarrassed to admit it took me four days to realize Trista was just fucking with me. I only figured it out when I looked up Sinapis Alba and learned that mashing the seeds just makes mustard. “Salomi the sand-witch.” Well played, vampire hippy…

2024.05.16 19:02 Lord_Waffle_Daddy89 How do you do it? How do you go out in public everyday?

So I have stopped completely dressing in men’s clothing. I’m no where near passing yet. And the constant stares, I’ve been called the F word too many times to count. People laughing. Yesterday I had some weirdo try to secretly take a picture of me while I was dropping my son off at school.
I’m so lucky to have friends and coworkers who support me. My heart goes out to any of ya’ll who don’t have that.
I’ve cried to my spouse so many times this week alone, but I wouldn’t change a damn thing.
I told my boss and then he looked up transphobia online and wants to teach me judo.

2024.05.16 19:00 Master_Kanra AITAH for going no contact with certain family members?

I (24f) had my daughter almost a year ago and during that time I had to cut off people from my family. The first person was my father. We've never had a good relationship and despite many chances he has fucked up each time but this particular time he kept INSISTING that it was "family tradition" for Grandpa to be there in the delivery room. I told him no multiple times and then told him to not show up at all because of how he was talking to me. He makes my husband(25m) very uncomfortable with how he talks to me and honestly it's low-key emotional incest. He tried to guilt trip us into letting him in. Then my grandpa from my father's side decided that my father "deserved" to have a picture of my daughter after I told him I was no contact. With my older brother (27m) the plan was for him to come to town and stay at my apartment while my husband and I were in the hospital. He not only refused to leave, he took the "dad couch" forcing my husband stay awake from 8am to about 7pm the following day. We told my brother multiple times to go and rest in our bed and that we would call him as soon as my daughter was born. Again he refused. I told my nurses I don't want epidural whatsoever and at one point during the build up in contractions, I was in the bathroom and heard my brother telling the nurse I might want the epidural. I legitimately had to throw open the door and curse both him and the nurse out for even bringing it up. I couldn't tell the nurse to kick him out either cuz each time she would come in I was having a issue with the monitors and IV so I never got the chance to actually say anything before she would leave each time. About a week later once my brother is back home he calls asking for pictures of my daughter but instead I confronted him about his actions while I was giving birth and told him he stole that moment from my husband and I. Before I could say anything further he cut me off, told me not to talk, tried LYING to us saying that he did offer to go but he was "too tired" from driving everywhere. He said that he would contact me when he was ready but has only been sending me random tiktoks and wishing me a happy holiday or another event. I still haven't gotten an apology. Now my mom is the tricky part. My younger sibling (17) lives with her still and that's the only real reason I still talk to her and my stepdad. The family dynamics is absolutely terrible btw. My mom told me about a month or so ago she was sending pictures of my daughter to my brother without me knowing or asking me. I have stopped sending my mom pictures of my daughter because of this and she's pretty upset about it. She doesn't reach out to me, never has, and the only reason she even knows what's going on is that I call or message first. With my stepdad, I don't talk to him at all at this point. Before my daughter was born I (still trying to have some time of relationship with him) asked how he felt about being a grandpa. THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAD THE AUDACITY to cut me off and say "no no, step grandpa. I'm not actually a grandpa until -sibling- has kids." My siblings and I all have different bio dads, mine just happened to be the worst of it. There is soooo much more but idk what info would be useful at this point So with everything thats happened, AITAH?

2024.05.16 18:54 DefinitionEvening249 My personal experience as a dishwasher and tips to begin as a dishwasher

So, picture this: a 15-year-old me, diving headfirst into the glamorous world of dishwashing at a Dutch restaurant. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a journey through the messiest, smelliest, and most stomach-churning depths of the kitchen hierarchy.
Fast forward a year, and here I am, a seasoned veteran of the dish pit. I've battled meat scraps, lettuce remnants, and even waged war against a rogue rat in the grease pit. Oh yes, I've danced with dirty dishes and come out (mostly) unscathed.
But fear not, fellow dishwasher warriors, for I bring tidings from the frontlines – survival tips for the toughest job in the kitchen(IMO):
  1. Dress the Part, Embrace the Mess: Leave your fancy attire at home and suit up in clothes you don't mind getting a little greasy. And remember, those old boots you've been meaning to toss? They'll do just fine in the dish pit.
  2. Efficiency is Key: Channel your inner Tetris master when loading the dishwasher. Prioritize by size and fragility, and don't be afraid to give those plates a double wash if needed.
  3. Prepare for the Onslaught: Be ready for the rush, my friends. When the dinner bell rings, it's all hands on deck. Flexibility and adaptability are your secret weapons.
  4. Conserve the Hot Water: Treat hot water like gold – use it sparingly, lest you find yourself facing a mountain of chocolate-covered dishes with nothing but cold water to fight them off.
  5. Vigilance Against Unwanted Guests: Keep an eye out for furry intruders. While we may not welcome them with open arms, pests like rats and mice sometimes make an unwelcome appearance. Stay alert and report any sightings to the powers that be.
  6. Approach the Grease Pit with Caution: Venturing into the grease pit is not for the faint of heart. Proceed with care, and be prepared for a thorough hose-down afterward. It's not exactly a spa day, but it might be worth the treasures it rewards.
  7. Maintain Your Machines: Take pride in keeping your equipment in top shape. Regular maintenance and minor repairs can save you from major headaches down the line.
  8. Find Your Zen in the Suds: Embrace the rhythm of the dishwashing routine. Let the soothing sound of running water be your mantra as you scrub away.
  9. Keep Your Eyes on the Prize: Every dish cleaned brings you one step closer to your culinary dreams. Stay focused, stay motivated, and remember – you're not just washing dishes, you're honing your skills for the kitchen of tomorrow.
So there you have it, my fellow dishwashing comrades. Armed with these tips and a healthy dose of humor, you're ready to tackle anything the kitchen throws your way. Onward, to dishwashing glory!

2024.05.16 18:54 Throawya933 Can’t stand being called cis or femme presenting

I’ve been detrans for a long time now and appear mostly feminine female despite having a lower voice and adams apple.
Sometimes people will call me “cis” or even “femme presenting” and it bothers me so much because there’s still a lot of cognitive dissonance there.
Yes, I wear makeup daily (to work) but I don’t feel “femme” whatsoever. I wear a mix of men’s and women’s clothing and don’t ascribe to gender roles in my social or romantic life.
I don’t feel any different internally than when I was a masc looking trans guy, and I still picture myself as such. (A masculine or at least androgynous looking person).
Today a guy i’m seeing called me a cis woman even though he knows about my gender struggles. I have said how I don’t really identify or believe in gender, but I guess the majority of people assume if you don’t have a buzz cut and wear male clothing every day, then you’re cis and happy identifying as a woman.
There’s just some weird cognitive dissonance where I know I technically look like a woman but still don’t “feel like” one at all. I don’t feel bad when I look in the mirror, but when people call me feminine, it still hurts.
I hate that I can’t “be” androgynous without overly performing the role and appearance. Does that make sense?

2024.05.16 18:46 Bitter_Squirrel_4447 Finding inappropriate pictures in my dad's phone

What do I do? It's really bugging me. I've been finding naked women pictures in my dad's gallery and I've been catching him watching videos of women dancing wearing revealing clothes. I find it really weird and creepy most especially cause he's married. I also saw him following pages that posts girls wearing bikinis and revealing clothing.
I don't want my view of him to change, he's a really good dad and we're really close, it's just weird finding him watching and looking at these content. I already talked to him about it and he just avoided it and I don't want to tell my mom cause they might fight over it (they've fought about my dad's exes in the past and almost seperated so I'm afraid to tell my mom)
It feels really wrong for me, is this normal? What do I do? Should I just let him be? and now that I thought of it, I've heard weird comments he makes about women sometimes, like how he often make comments about women's clothing and the way he jokes around younger female co-workers... I've seen it and it feels weird.
I don't want my view of him to change but I just can't keep ignoring the red flags, right?

2024.05.16 18:45 heirapparent91 Possible hackjob splice into old K&T wiring behind ceiling light fixture

Hi everyone,
I was replacing a few outlets and light fixtures at a friends 190x something house he recently bought. Breaker box is from around 2001 but the house wiring itself is like a "history of house wiring" museum. There are old porcelain tubes (without any wires around them) still present next to the breaker box in the basement, old BX cable, and several generations of NM visible throughout the house.
https://imgur.com/a/XiZb2Hp
But I didn't find any actual K&T wiring until I pulled off a ceiling light fixture that had a (relatively) recent NM cable jammed into the same knockout as a much older cloth-covered cable. The "cloth" cable has a black rubber-insulated wire inside as well as an "orangeish" wire that I am guessing is a discolored old neutral? The black wire from this cable is hot when I tested it. The newer NM in the box runs to the switch that controlled this light.
That didn't sit right with me so I pulled out the pancake box (which was roughly screwed into the lathe behind the plaster ceiling with four square head drywall screws. The attached pictures are what I saw in the ceiling cavity.
Obviously there is K&T running above the ceiling (and below the floor above) but I can't be sure if the cloth wires I'm seeing here are being fed from K&T. It's hard to make out but it looks like some kind of splice that is suspiciously close to that old K&T.
What do you think is happening here and what would you do to address? I was considering pulling up a few boards from the floor above assuming they're face nailed (obviously with the power off) and investigating further before jumping to any conclusions.

2024.05.16 18:43 QueenOfMadness999 I think I know why men are mentally intimidated often by women on the spectrum...

Historically thinking logically critical thinking and systemized and chronological thinking was seen as a male trait by society once society started being taught by misogynistic controlling leaders that men are superior. Since then it has been ingrained in many men to see women as natural followers and therefore seeing that for a woman to be agreeable and feminine these traits are not be seen in them but in only men and that women should seek out men with these traits for guidance since women always need guidance from men according to the traditional beliefs about women. I guess you could say historically women are seen as needing to be eternal followers of men. Henceforth the erroneous belief that men are more logical and women are more emotional and therefore incapable of formulating plans.
However since oftentimes autistic behavior often involves intense need for autonomy, hatred or discomfort toward having someone stand over you and watch and guide you through things, systemization, critical thinking , logic seeking, and compartmentalization, and pattern spotting it flies the face of what is considered "feminine" and is therefore seen as defiant and intimidating. Picture this. You enjoy weight lifting as a woman. You meet a male trainer. He expects you to automatically lower the weight to a very low amount and discourages you from going much higher than that for some silly reason (like about some nonsense about small bones breaking easily especially female bones if weight lifting "too heavy" ) and you instead of immediately accepting that ask him about where his sources come from since automatically accepting such an ideology is illogical and maybe you really are interested in learning especially if health and wellness is your special interest and you only seek out reputable sources of information. Now he walks off offended. Why? Because you questioned him rather than accepting his guidance and threw him off with a logical expectation for cited sources as well as critical thinking as a woman. This is problematic that he feels this way BUT it also comes from I believe historically women being expected to accept guidance from men because historically men were "supposed to be the leaders and could only be questioned by men". Now you are considered "hard to train and defiant" by the male trainer and he no longer wishes to work with you or is hesitant.
I'm not claiming all autistic traits are positive or negative but my general point here is oftentimes that the very rigid logic centered pattern centered thought processes involved in women are still considered "masculine" by societies (especially traditional societies) which thereby make autistic women be more intimidating and even sometimes frustrating to many men especially allistic men. But I blame the idiotic illogical misogynistic ideologies from controlling leaders of ancient times and especially religious leaders. These are not actually masculine traits. They are just considered masculine because they don't involve following men. Which would also explain the "extreme male brain" ideology about autistic female neurology

2024.05.16 18:43 The-Unseen-1 The awakening of the heart

Part 16: The awakening of the heart
.
.
As the Mysterious Stranger and the Seeker leave the old castle behind, they continue on the snow-covered path. A path appears on the right side, following parallel to their own. The two paths merge into one, which leads towards a volcano. As they progress, another parallel path from the left side merges as well with the current one.
.
In the distance, the Seeker spots a building, where the path tilts uphill. A sign points at a crossroad. An intersection, between realms. The crossroads, where all timelines meet up: Where the westward and the eastward paths meets the northern road.
Where the paths meet, stands a tavern. The lights are on. The chimney is smoking. A sign shows its name:
'The Red Ditch Inn'
.
.
“Wanna get something to drink,” asks the Stranger the Seeker.
“Sure, why not,” accepts the Seeker.
.
.
Before he opens the door knob, the Stranger hesitates and speaks to the Seeker:
“This is the bar, where the timelines of our souls meet up. This is the crossing of our life-paths, the intersection of fate. Be prepared, for what happens next.”
The Seeker and the Stranger walk into the building. As they open the door, they are started by the loud conversations. The inn is full. Many tables with different animals of all species.
.
.
The table in the center of the bar, has a label saying: 'Spirituality'
Around that table sit all kinds of different birds and animals. Pigeons, squirrels, Reptiles, cats, dogs, wolves, foxes, crows, mice, sloths. They are mostly talking about crystals and past lives.
.
.
There was a table, which said: 'astralprojection'. There sat an old bear, who carries many scars, wounded by countless battles, teaching young bear cups, who attentively listen to their elders. Some are making notes.
.
.
Next to it, is a table with a label saying: 'Enlightenment'
There sit some parrots all repeating the same mantra in unison:
“BEFORE ENLIGHTENMENT CHOP WOOD CARRY WATER, AFTER ENLIGHTENMENT CHOP WOOD CARRY WATER.”
.
.
There is another table, called: 'Awakened'
There sit a caterpillar, a spider, a scorpion and an eagle.
“You have an Ego,” shouts the caterpillar at the spider, pointing his finger.
“No, you have an Ego,” shouts the spider back at the caterpillar.
“You both have an Ego,” accuses the scorpion both the caterpillar and the spider.
“Hey,” shouts the bird. “I am the eagle here!”
.
.
Next to it, is the table of 'nonduality'. The chairs are completely empty. There is no one here.
.
.
On the other side there is another table with many different birds and mammals, some more exotic animals from all around the world. The label says 'Soulnexus'. There is someone constantly screaming at the top of their lungs:
“I AM A PROFFESIONAL PSYCHIC READER WITH 14 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!”
.
.
One table next to it is called 'starseeds'. The people sitting there do not look like animals, but like strange aliens. Some small and green beings, others big and gray, some with fur, some with scales, some humanoid. They were mostly talking about the past, exchanging some old memories. Among them is a chicken, who wears an alien costume.
.
As one of the Grey beings stands up to go to the toilet, the chicken whispers to the others:
“Psst guys, I think Fred may not be an actual Starseed.”
The other beings around the table start mumbling.
.
.
There is one more table called 'psychonauts'. The Stranger walks towards their table.
“Jo, wazzup Shawty,” greets the Stranger an old friend at the psychonaut-table, with a fist bump. “Long time no see.”
.
“Whoa, it's YOU,” responds the Tiger at the table, with red eyes, smoking his bong. “Last time I've seen you, I was like in DMT realm.”
.
“Is Burt anywhere around?” asks the Stranger.
.
.
“He is sitting there in the corner,” responds Shawty. The tiger points at a traumatized racoon sitting in the dark corner.
“I have seen too much,” mumbles the Burt the Racoon with eyes wide open, like a scratched record.
“I have traveled too far... I have seen, what lies within the emptiness. Never again... I will never do shrooms again...”
.
.
Suddenly the waiter taps the racoons shoulder, ripping him out of his thought loop.
“Sir... Do you wanna order anything?”
.
“Do you have McKennaii?”
“Yes,” responds the waiter.
“Then I'll have 7 grams,” orders the racoon.
.
.
The Seeker has a sudden thought and looks at the Stranger.
“What does the ' slash' on the tables, stand for?”
.
“I don't know...,” shrugs the Stranger. “ It's probably to reserve the table at this inn.”
.
.
.
The Stranger looks at all the tables, they are all talking and talking. Some are playing poker, others are playing dart, some drunks fight each other. Others talk about their identity or their favorite dogma. Some are showing off, how enlightened they are.
As they stand at the crossroads, they can either go Westwards, Eastwards and Northwards. Many have taken the western route, many have went eastwards, but they always ended back at the 'Red Ditch Inn' again.
The newbies, were unsure, whether to go west or east. The experienced ones, knew it doesn't make a difference, they would end up at the bar again anyway. Some were stuck in the bar since many decades, they had given up hope to ever find a way out. But few of them ever dared to walk northwards.
The Stranger sighs, as he looks around. His eyes flame up, he inhales deeply and climbs on a chair. With a raised voice he speaks:
.
.
.
.
When did we lose our heart?
We lost our heart collectively.
Did we lose it, when we were still cavemen? When we had to survive the cold winters of the ice age? When we hunted down the last Homo Neanderthalensis? Or later on, when the first tribes waged war against each other? Did we lose our heart, when we enslaved each other? Did we lose our hearts, when we dropped atom bombs, or when we caused our first mass extinctions...The crimes, that Humans do in wars... All of us carry the sins of our forefathers on our shoulders.
.
.
We lost our hearts individually.
For the person it starts pretty early in their childhood. We lose our trust, when we are lied to. Almost everyone tastes the pain of Betrayal at least once in life. We are deeply wounded from childhood on. We learn early on, that humans hurt us and thus we become suspicious of humans. We learn not to trust each other. Because we are afraid of being hurt again. And so we close off our heart to protect it.
.
.
What is the heart?
I am not talking about the physical organ. I talk about this part in your 'soul', if I may call it that. It's like the core of our 'soul', of our 'astral body'. The centre of our 'energy' or chakras. We are afraid to open it, because it's very vulnerable. That's why we protect it. We are afraid to open it, because we don't trust each other.
But unless your heart is open, you can never experience unconditional love. Its flame must be activated.
The heart is your connection to everything. The heart is what connects you to 'source', if that's the word, you'd like to use. The heart is from where our love flows.
We have cut off the connection and became separated from the ALL. We made love conditional. We split hating from loving, dislike from like and created duality. We became attached. We let ourselves be corrupted by the Ego.
Now that we have closed the heart, what have we done to the world?
.
.
We turned the world into a place, that almost no one likes. We created a society, that keeps us in narrow boxes. We made the world a lonely place, for everyone to be in. Even in groups, we often feel lonely. We allowed money to rule over us. We allowed ideologies to split us and dogmas to control us.
We have so many different issues, that we just can't seem to overcome. Climate change. Wars. Corrupt politicians. Poverty. Starvation. Meaninglessness. Nihilism.
Where should we start with all that mess?
.
.
With ourselves. That is the place, where the transformation needs to start. We need to evolve. One person at a time. Only then, can the collective transform as well.
We need to open the mind and the heart. To see and to feel. To be aware and to love. We need to find harmony within ourselves. End the inner conflict and find peace within.
Find your own truest path.
Let go of any limiting beliefs. Let go of any attachments. Forgive whoever needs forgiveness and apologize to clear your regrets. Find Love.
Find your light within. See your light in all people. Love your enemies.
Recognize the Ego, be aware of what makes it grow. Become aware of any negative thought patterns. Be disciplined.
Clear your own shadows. Face your Trauma. Heal your inner child.
Get free from all bodily addictions. Be free of fear. Be free of suffering.
See the beauty of all things. Find joy in every moment.
Surrender yourself. Follow the heart. Be proud and courageous. Accept your life and your story. Embrace your story, without being attached to it.
Find your purpose. End the Seeking.
Be your authentic Self. Express Love through your character.
Become Love.
.
.
.
This is a possible path. And I just gave you the map. It can be walked. It was walked before. But it is a path into unknown territory. Only the bravest of you can walk this path. It's not for the faintest of heart.
You see, you all either follow the path of the left and go westwards or you follow the path on the right and go eastwards... But no matter how far you go, you'll always end up at the crossroads again. You never make any real progress.
What if there is another path? What if there's another way? What if I say, 'let us go north?!'
.
.
.
Some of the crowd are in shock. Some are laughing. Others are mumbling.
“You can't walk north,” says a crow from the projectors. “It's impossible.”
“Everyone knows, that the northern road is a dead-end,” says an awakened Caterpillar. “It's a waste of time going up there. You can't go further, than the volcano.”
A psychonaut horse laughs. “That will be fun. Can't wait to see their disappointed faces, when they walk all the way back down.”
.
.
.
.
.
The Stranger continues undeterred:
.
Why are you walking the spiritual path?
You felt called to do it, didn't you? You felt something within you. Something made click. You understood, that there is a deeper truth, that you must find. There was this deep longing within you. So you started walking.
What were the first things, that you were seeking?
You were seeking answers.
What were your first questions? You were asking, 'What is my purpose?' You were asking 'Why am I here'?
And you have searched in so many places. But no matter which answer you got, you were never fully satisfied. Because it wasn't your answer. Because it was someone else's answer.
So you stopped seeking. Either you were content with some unfulfilling answers or you just simply gave up. When did you stop finding your own answers?
Dogma or tradition give us easy answers. When we are attached to them, when we build an identity around them, we become unable to find our own answers. But you can't end Seeking with someone elses answers. Only when you have claimed the answer for yourself, can the Seeker transform into something different. Into something new.
Just ending the Seeker, like cutting off a limb, won't do it. The Seeker needs to find their answer to the question 'What is my purpose?' Not one, they read from textbooks. Not an answer, that someone else can give them. When ONE has found their own unique purpose in life, then instead of 'seeking', there is only 'expressing'.”
.
.
.
“I see that you are advanced,” speaks an enlightened owl. “However you are blinded by idealism. When you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss will stare back at you.”
.
“My friend,” says the Stranger. “I have not only stared into the abyss, I went to hell and back again to find my answer.”
.
.
.
Everyone falls silent, the Stranger continues:
“It was always here on earth. Heaven. It was always within us. Take a look around you. There is beauty in all things. If you search for it, you can find joy in every moment. Look for love in the world and you shall find love everywhere. Meet Life with gratitude and wonder. Face your experience, like an adventurer faces his challenge. Express unconditional love through your very being. Because this is how we heal Humanities greatest wound: The scar of nihilism.
It has all become so meaningless to us, hasn't it?
Memorizing knowledge at school or college, that you'll never need in real life. This feeling of being stuck in life. Day to day, going to a dead-end job for minimum wage. Living an unfulfilled life. The shattering of broken dreams. The tears of our suffering.
You know, why everything has become so meaningless?
We let our hearts get cold. After falling, we stopped getting back up again. We stopped facing our challenges.
You see, after every defeat, Humanity always got back up again. No matter how tough the challenge may seemed, Humanity never gave up.
We have forgotten, who we are.
All of us are Humanity. You, Me, everyone. We are all humanity. You, the individual human are HUMANITY. You are the Rest of mankind. Because we are all the same in our essence. When you open your heart, then this is your name: 'HUMANITY'
Because you see yourself in every other human. This is the name of the divine spark that sits within all of us. It is the fire, that burns in our eyes. This is Humanity: An archetype of victory and an idea of unity.
Let me ask you a very direct question. If we all came together to do our part, do you think that we could actually clean up the mess we have created? Do you think we have a chance of not only to survive but even to evolve as a species? And perhaps write even greater stories, than ever before?”
.
.
.
.
.
The entire crowd is silent. Most of them avoid eye contact. People start mumbling.
Then the crowd slowly gets louder again and the conversations on each table, continue as if nothing ever happened.
As the Stranger steps down from the chair, a monkey gets up from one of the tables, points his finger and screams:
“Look guys, this dude has ketchup on his outfit.”
.
.
While the crowd laughs at him, the Stranger goes to the bar and orders two beer. While he waits, he rubs off the ketchup stain from his clothes with his fingernails.
People are looking at him and the Seeker. The Seeker can't bear standing next to the Stranger and leaves the tavern. The Stranger pays for two beers. 140 Pesos. He then follows the Seeker outside.
.
.
“Wanna go already?” asks the Stranger while sipping from his beer.
“Those guys hate you now,” sighs the Seeker.
“Who cares?” shrugs the Stranger, while gulping down the beer in a single go.
.
.
.
A couple of animals exit the bar. All the animals, that had no place to fit in. All the animals that didn't belong. A rabbit, a cat, a goldfish, a squirrel, a bear, a fox, a goat, a pigeon, an eagle, a chicken in an alien costume and a dog.
.
“I will also follow my destiny,” speaks the eagle with determination. His heart is also activated.
.
.
“Alright,” says a bear with burning eyes. “Let's try going north... Perhaps this is how we'll finally get to Axis Mundi.”
.
“Going north... that sounds fun,” says the smiling fox. “Let's see how far, we'll come.”
.
“We are all gonna die anyway,” sighs the pessimistic goat.
.
“I never tried going north before,” contemplates the curious pigeon.
.
“10 bucks, that I am first at the top of the volcano,” bets the black cat, while looking at her claws.
.
“Deal,” agrees the dog, while hunting his own tail.
.
The rabbit thinks about the taste of carrots. She is hungry.
.
The squirrel is simply happy and excited for the new adventure. She can't stop dancing.
.
The goldfish has no idea, what he's actually doing. He just rolls around in a plastic bag.
“I... I will also walk my path,” speaks up the brave chicken in an alien costume. For the first time, the chickens eyes start burning.
.
.
.
Together, the new group of friends are traveling the northern road. Towards the volcano. As the sunset illuminates their backs, the animals start singing a new song. A song of excitement, of wonder and of bravery. A song, that goes something like: “We have found a way.”

2024.05.16 18:42 The-Unseen-1 The awakening of the heart

2024.05.16 18:41 honeylovespellcaster How to Get Your Ex Back - Dr. Honey love spells

This is how to get your ex back.

When you’re going through a breakup, it is likely that you are experiencing anxiety, panic, shock, sorrow, desperation, and hopelessness. How to Get Your Ex Back - Dr. Honey love spells
Some even often report loss of appetite due to the discomfort and anxiousness that these feelings cause, often resulting in nausea.
Because of the severity of emotions after being dumped, many people in your shoes feel that their situation is uniquely awful.
People experiencing the pain of being dumped often think that their situation is worse than all or most of the breakup situations out there.
I certainly understand why you feel that way, if you do.
It feels so horrible and terribly unique in terms of how it affects you that it seems like no one else could possibly be going through this or that most people don’t go through this kind of pain from a breakup.
I usually tell people in your shoes that other people experience similar levels of pain and sorrow after a breakup.
However, I also tell them that people in this kind of pain and sorrow very often get back together with their ex as well.
I’m blessed to see people get an ex back every single day!

How to Get My Ex Back

Every day I get an email, a comment, or someone calls to tell me that their ex came back to them.
So I can tell you that the short answer is that, yes, there is hope to get your ex back.
My optimism on people getting their ex back is not because I’m a “pie-in-the-sky”.
It’s because I’ve seen so many success stories that now I expect most cases to work out if you follow through what I tell you.
The bottom line is that if you two had a good relationship, if there was chemistry, if you enjoyed each other, and if you didn’t respond too poorly to the breakup, your odds are good to get your ex back.
If you responded poorly to the breakup but had those other positives, your odds are not as good as the example above, but they still are solid.

I CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO GET YOUR EX BACK.

The No Contact Rule alone increases the likelihood and the level of hope of getting an ex back.
It’s just such a powerful thing that most people so often underestimate and overlook.
It’s not just a way to get your ex to miss you, it’s also a way to prevent you from making mistakes, from keeping them from being pushed away from you by the wrong kind of pressure, for them to see you has having the ability to stay away from them, and a way to get them to see that you could move on which would mean that they could lose you.
Those things work on the mind and heart of your ex and can help to resurrect emotional attraction – the core reason your ex broke up with you in the first place.

Hope to get them back Want To Get Them Back

If you stay strong, focused, and determined, you give yourself the best chance and greatest hope of getting your ex back.
It’s when people lose it and break no contact that they can delay their ex from coming back or even prevent it entirely.
If you have broken no contact, get back on the no-contact wagon and stay there! You still have hope, though you might have hurt your odds a bit.
The reason for that is because by you breaking no contact, your ex is reassured that you will wait around on them, that you can’t stay away, and that you aren’t moving on.

THEY WILL LIKELY DOUBT YOUR ABILITY TO DO SO.

Not only will this give them relief because they realize that you are there waiting as a backup plan should they ever change their mind and heart, but it also removes the positive pressure that was probably on them during no contact.
That positive pressure was allowing them to see that you could move on and that they could lose you forever if they don’t act.
Your best hope is to push through and remain committed to no contact.
Get your ex back with Dr honey love’s tips.
The best part about no contact is that it is sneaky. Your ex doesn’t see it coming.

WHAT YOUR EX GOES THROUGH BEFORE THEY COME BACK

You want to know how to get your ex back.
In fact, you want to know the best way to get your ex back.
First, I’m going to tell you something about reuniting with the love that you probably won’t like hearing at first.
After the breakup, your ex starts off in a stage of relief.
He or she was able to do the difficult, awkward task of breaking up with you and they are relieved that it is over and done.
So they enjoy feeling that it’s over and that it’s time for them to move on with life.
This stage usually only lasts for a few days or a couple of weeks.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, your ex starts to be curious as to why you haven’t reached out.
Your ex wonders why you haven’t fought and chased them, begging them to come back or to give you another chance.
That’s when your ex will likely become concerned or even afraid.
The reason for their concern is that if you aren’t chasing them, their mind jumps to the conclusion that you are moving on.
Or, worse, that maybe there is already someone else.

BUT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PART:

I’ll take a second to say that you shouldn’t take pictures of yourself with a potential romantic partner and post it all over social media in hopes that your ex will see it, get jealous, and come running back to you.
It rarely works like that and is certainly not the best way to accomplish that.
Usually, they don’t want to face what seems to be an obvious rejection if they try to come back to you while you are with someone else.
So don’t fall for what I call a vengeance strategy. It’s just not effective.

HOW FAST CAN YOU GET YOUR EX BACK?

It’s important that you realize that getting your ex back will often be a case of taking two steps forward and one step back.
It’s not going to happen overnight because the breakup itself didn’t happen overnight.
Remember this:
Breaking up with you was likely something that your ex was considering for a while unless a major event directly caused a quick breakup.
As long as you are showing strength, respecting your ex’s decision, and giving them the breakup without them feeling you are “trying” to get them back, you have good reason to have hope that your ex will come back because you are doing it the best way possible.
Trust the process, believe that you are enough without having to come up with excuses to reach out (because it’s unlikely to be effective anyway), and that the principle of scarcity will likely result in your ex missing you (if you stay away) and this will help you win your ex back.
Stay strong and remember that even though it feels as though there is an urgency to get your ex back at this moment or else you will lose him or her forever, it’s simply not true.

It’s not as hopeless as it feels.

It’s important that you take things one day at a time and remember that the future is wide open.
As long as you and your ex are still alive, there is a path to the two of you being together.
It doesn’t have to happen today in order for it to happen.
You probably can’t get your ex back today, but you can push them away which, obviously you don’t want to do.
So prevent yourself from reaching out and communicating with them from a place of desperation, emotional panic, or anger.
Demonstrate grace, maturity, and strength so that in the coming days, months, and even years, your ex will look back on you positively.
That way, as your ex reflects and considers your place in his/her life, the door will be open for them to realize their mistake in leaving you.
It’s a powerful thing but something that requires discipline, maturity, and confidence in the process.

HAVE YOU TRIED ALL THIS!!!

It’s a shame but not do not lose hope.
Apart from giving relationship advice, I provide real solutions to complicated and difficult situations like this.

A lapdog's brainless zeal

The Entourage! Whence comes1 such creatures so eager to abandon all pretense of the sedentary? One envisages haste of blubbering excitement, slippery gleam in the eye, a lapdog’s brainless zeal, as a canvas bag is stuffed full of slips and whatnot, with all the grace of a fakir backstage moments before performing before a gouty king. A whirlwind rush through rooms like shrines, and then out!
We get Flicker dropping back into his more heightened style, starting off with a declamation. Remember how we ended the last section
He would unveil himself in Farrog, and then they would all see. Calap Roud, that stunning watery-eyed dancer, Purse Snippet, and the Entourage too—
So this is very much an interruption. Previously we had Flicker placing himself inside Brash's head, until he mentions the Entourage, at which point he switches completely and breaks out into this much more heightened description.
Flicker is back in his picture-painting mode as well, as he imagines the backgrounds of these girls. The first sentence is posed as a question, but is really more of a statement. I love the phrase "abandon all pretense of the sedentary". They were clearly from a wealthy background, living a carefree life before, but now they've chosen to drop it all to follow (in this instance literally follow) their favorite artist.
He imagines the scenario surrounding their departure, with the "blubbering excitement", a "slippery gleam in the eye", and of course "a lapdog's brainless zeal". I'm curious about the "slippery" descriptor there. Especially when paired with the lapdog comment, it calls to mind a dog skidding and sliding on a slippery floor as they're completely unable to contain their excitement. Does anyone have a different reading?
Then they stuff a canvas bag full of slips (as in the clothing, not as in paper slips) and "whatnot", showing how they're clearly not thinking this through, but rather just throwing things in their bag and running out the door. I love the comparison to the fakir. First of all, it hearkens back to the Arabian Nights inspiration, while also giving us the image of a fakir rushing to get ready for his act, but more important is how it works as a metaphor.
The Entourage (who as we will soon learn are all young women) are here posed as a performer, performing in front of an old, fat, wealthy man. It really spotlights the power imbalance between them and their idol. Then we end the paragraph on a sentence that I'm having a really hard time figuring out. What is the significance of the rooms being like shrines? Shrines are (definitionally) places of worship. So it's like they're rushing past these places intended for worship in order to worship their idol, perhaps implying that it would have been more productive to stay and worship a real god. But these aren't shrines, but rather rooms like shrines, so it would be a worship of the home or something in that direction. I don't think this would imply a worship of domesticity, the metaphor is not fleshed out enough for that. I think it's simply saying that they should rather try to stay connected to their roots. I must say I'm not fully convinced by this reading. What do you all think?

Holding up a mirror

Pattering feet, a trio, all converging in unsightly gallop quick to feminize into a skip and prance once He Who Is Worshipped is in sight. The Entourage accompanies the Perfect Artist everywhere, gatherings great and small, public and intimate. They build the walls of the formidable, impregnable keep that is the Perfect Artist’s ego. They patrol the moat, flinging away all but the sweetest defecatory intimations of mortality. They stand sentinel in every postern gate, they gush down every sluice, they are the stained glass to paint rainbows upon their beloved’s perfectly turned profile.
I absolutely love this image we get here of these three girls "converging in unsightly gallop" with their "pattering feet". It's juxtaposing two images, one dainty and the other the exact opposite. If you've seen one of those videos of cows being released out to pasture after the winter, that's basically what I'm picturing. But as soon as they're in the presence of their idol they switch into an exaggeratedly feminine gait.
Then there's the intentionally vague description of their idol. We don't get the name, but he's called He Who Is Worshipped and the Perfect Artist. This is a reminder that we're not talking about particulars, but rather the general case, in particular how people behave in real life fandoms. Let's examine the rest of this paragraph while keeping in mind that this is Erikson is holding up a mirror to us. And you thought you were safe?
The Entourage is always where their artist is. I think this is especially true in the modern day where fans have practically unlimited access to their favourite artists. And they act as defenders of their artist, and notice how at no point here we get any sense that this Perfect Artist asked for any such thing. They build up their own unassailable version of their artist, and then dismiss any criticism except the most basic, toothless ones.
Finally we get these three statements, two quick ones, and a longer one. They "stand sentinel..." is essentially a continuation of the previous sentence. Then they "gush down every sluice". This is a strange turn of phrase to say the least. A sluice is of course a sort of water channel, and since we're in this castle metaphor, it's likely meant as a preventative measure against flooding. But it's not water that's the risk here, but the gushing of the fans.
And lastly they are the stained glass windows that "paint rainbows" on their idol (with a nice alliteration on perfectly and profile). I really like this one. They are not only viewing their idol through rose-tinted glass, but they have made themselves a piece of stained glass, that colors the artist in every color of the rainbow. They are creating a false, or at least exaggerated, image of the artist, and projecting that image to others as well. I think this whole description really mirrors how fanatically devoted some people can get around their favorite artist, and I don't think we should exclude ourselves from this.

Let's back up a little

But let us not snick and snack overmuch, for each life is a wonder unto itself, and neither contempt nor pity do a soul sound measures of health, lest some issue of envy squeeze free in unexpectedly public revelation. The object of this breathless admiration must wait for each sweet woman’s moment upon the stage in the bull’s eye lantern light of our examination.
Flicker yet again addresses the audience directly. The phrase "snick and snack" here is interesting. A snick can of course be a small cut, and there's definitely been enough of those so far. I think the snack is not intended to have a semantic meaning, but is rather intended to complement the onomatopoeic sound of snick. The word "overmuch" is also doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Some snicking and snacking is fine, but let's not get carried away.
The "each life is a wonder..." part is hilarious. This is definitely an example of overpraising, where Flicker uses hyperbolic language while implying a much more subdued meaning. He's now spent two whole paragraphs detailing how ridiculous and vapid the Entourage is, but now he's all "oh the miracle of life etc. etc." So even when he's talking about how he should stop mocking them, he continues the mockery. Absolutely savage.
He then encourages us to not view them with pity or contempt. Possibly because it would be condescending to do so. Certainly nobody likes being viewed that way, and Flicker claims that it is at best unhelpful to take those attitudes. I am a bit confused, however, about the mention of envy. Is Flicker saying that he is envious of them? Or is he warning us to not be envious? Is there a risk, when expressing pity or contempt, of appearing envious? Are the Entourage themselves envious when we do that? I admit I'm kind of lost here. What do you think?
Flicker ends by calling attention to the fact that we haven't really discussed the Entourage's Perfect Artist at all. He's been this remote figure this whole time, almost irrelevant to the conduct of his fans. Note also how he's called an "object". That word has been used once before in this story, and it was to describe the way Purse Snippet was viewed by Calap Roud. This is not an accident. FlickeErikson is saying that the way the Entourage views their Perfect Artist is not entirely dissimilar to the way Calap Roud, a disgusting old pervert, leers at a much younger woman. Again, this is not lust for the artist themself, but rather for the godlike image that the fans have constructed of the artist.
And before we can know that artist, we are going to be introduced to these three young women, each more ridiculous than the last, before we get to their Perfect Artist. Indeed, they must suffer the "bull's eye lantern light of our examination". This is a great description of what Flicker has been doing so far with his ruthless introduction. He also doesn't call it an interrogation or even a description. No, he's simply examining each of these characters, down to their core2.
And that does it for this week's post. Next time we'll be discussing Sellup, the oldest member of the Entourage. See you all next week!
1 I don't know exactly what to do with this seeming error. It strikes me as an editing artifact. That is, Erikson originally wrote this sentence differently, then changed the wording but forgot to change the whole sentence.
2 And it's worth remembering that he may well be making all of this up.

The awakening of the heart

Walking the Path together (Part 16)

Part 16: The awakening of the heart
.
.
As the Mysterious Stranger and the Seeker leave the old castle behind, they continue on the snow-covered path. A path appears on the right side, following parallel to their own. The two paths merge into one, which leads towards a volcano. As they progress, another parallel path from the left side merges as well with the current one.
.
In the distance, the Seeker spots a building, where the path tilts uphill. A sign points at a crossroad. An intersection, between realms. The crossroads, where all timelines meet up: Where the westward and the eastward paths meets the northern road.
https://preview.redd.it/ickg0u2dft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b5fa4ecd9260473fd86ed9628198e80deec072d
Where the paths meet, stands a tavern. The lights are on. The chimney is smoking. A sign shows its name:
'The Red Ditch Inn'
https://preview.redd.it/otfmxareft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2760ab4c688b32d48af5f0cbea7366d959f7e78e
.
Many tables with different animals of all species.
.
.
The table in the center of the bar, has a label saying: ''
Around that table sit all kinds of different birds and animals. Pigeons, squirrels, Reptiles, cats, dogs, wolves, foxes, crows, mice, sloths. They are mostly talking about crystals and past lives.
https://preview.redd.it/zqdv1ocgft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c1694d005d7da80fd8b1fc276df1a1ad769cfec
.
.
There was a table, which said: ''. There sat an old bear, who carries many scars, wounded by countless battles, teaching young bear cups, who attentively listen to their elders. Some are making notes.
https://preview.redd.it/va2u53fift0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=121c7846772401ef62d3eb891d316b117e5e2a95
Next to it, is a table with a label saying: 'Enlightenment'
There sit some parrots all repeating the same mantra in unison:
“BEFORE ENLIGHTENMENT CHOP WOOD CARRY WATER, AFTER ENLIGHTENMENT CHOP WOOD CARRY WATER.”
https://preview.redd.it/s8t5nhtjft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b85904c62c3eaff4933e26776c32e54d396ca79
.
“I am the eagle here!”
https://preview.redd.it/azxybwwkft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=da0ba38b819bb49ed950234d0ecc7b4557241ca5
.
.
Next to it, is the table of ''. The chairs are completely empty. There is no one here.
https://preview.redd.it/5dtudmnmft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95cda16a7f7bdcde14e1c6acca920861fdb7bc0a
.
.
On the other side there is another table with many different birds and mammals, some more exotic animals from all around the world. The label says ''. There is someone constantly screaming at the top of their lungs:
“I AM A PROFFESIONAL PSYCHIC READER WITH 14 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!”
https://preview.redd.it/htlx7t4oft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58c13f3390548abf946c42949897a24f749a805f
.
.
One table next to it is called ''.
“Psst guys, I think Fred may not be an actual Starseed.”
https://preview.redd.it/x4onlblpft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e87edf7926dd1266a4cda563d8e80566d457440
The other beings around the table start mumbling.
https://preview.redd.it/fo0eew2rft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97bbefc05e0cc815df9b76543844a973b48bc4e0
.
.
There is one more table called ''.
“Then I'll have 7 grams,” orders the racoon.
https://preview.redd.it/x822pqvsft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc69a2b4b402b194f34ec41a34863f4328acf375
.
But few of them ever dared to walk northwards.
https://preview.redd.it/zzrinpkuft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d651c126cb4ae30f944140c6da14421ebc94f2d
You can't go further, than the volcano.”
https://preview.redd.it/xos6zkewft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c34f29fe33c8e1687f58d780097aa96018acdf2
When you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss will stare back at you.”
https://preview.redd.it/dwfw2exxft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4a01cae5bb2c1d82c68ecbe3154896f35642262
140 Pesos. He then follows the Seeker outside.
https://preview.redd.it/j2e9vnjzft0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecea680fc0e94cb3124a13ac41477df1d39b2197
His heart is also activated.
.
https://preview.redd.it/a3aiy8i1gt0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e26ee09ac0142c51c2bb2a6de3f99ae7a5c2e20
.
“Alright,” says a bear with burning eyes. “Let's try going north... Perhaps this is how we'll finally get to Axis Mundi.”
.
“Going north... that sounds fun,” says the smiling fox. “Let's see how far, we'll come.”
https://preview.redd.it/ynk5op93gt0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=830f2ce5b0177352d9431948069c2d110c9981ea
He just rolls around in a plastic bag.
https://preview.redd.it/0r3gt6v4gt0d1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9c1f6f434ed6470394072cf8c8a56e2b43697ea
