Hi guys. I'm an artist and a plant enthusiast, with that said, my plant group on Facebook is holding their yearly Plant BBQ-flea market-swap and raffle meetup, children welcome, and the aquantace who runs the show was having issues with finding an affordable face painter, so I stepped up to be the affordable option! With that said, I am going to be practicing a lot and taking ideas off places like ClockApp and Reels and such, I also will be practicing the designs on my friend prior just to try to get my speed down. I was wondering what reasonably affordable pricing would be for face painting? I don't want to cost an arm and a leg, esp when I'm a beginner and she's purchasing the face paints (I told her I would get the stencils, brushes and sponges on my own dime, she's a very giving and kind person!) I also don't want to charge her when it's not like, a birthday party or something and we don't know how many people will actually be showing up! I was thinking just set prices based on size of design. Also, any tips, tricks, ideas, etc? This will be in June and I'll be sitting at the kids section where they can paint rocks, bring their own pots to paint, etc and I want to make a board or something so I don't spend too long trying to create something on the kids, as I am not that talented and kids have a short attention span. I’ve seen a lot of people confused about the card and rax systems on real so I thought I’d explain it all here.
Rax are the currency used on real. You can use rax to buy player and team cards, play card packs, and enter play card raffles in game.
A playeteam card is a pass that allows you to earn rax based on a players performance, or a teams score differential. The exact formula for rax a player earns isn’t stated anywhere, but typically the better a player does the more rax they get. The team cards earn rax based on the score differential in games they win, for example, MLB team cards earn 4x the score differential.
Play cards are used to upgrade your player cards and team cards. The play cards each come with a corresponding rating, which is determined by how impactful the play was on the game it happened in. Once you get enough play cards for one player or team, they get boosted earnings. For example, I have Kyle Tucker’s player card, and I collected 10.2 rating worth of play cards, which upgraded him to common, and he now earns 1.2 times the rax he Did normally does.
If you have player or team cards that are common or better at the end of the season, they can earn On This Day performance rax. This means that the next season, you can claim the rax that player or team earned on that day from the season the card is from.
If you get play cards for players you don’t have or want, you can trade with other players to get the cards you want.
Booster cards upgrade the earnings of a player card for the game you use it on, and also give a bonus if a player does a certain thing in that game. For example, most baseball booster cards give rax for runs, RBIs, HRs, etc.
A few suggestions as well, if you don’t want to spend any money on rax(which I recommend because it is pretty easy to get rax without spending), then the easiest way to go about it is by collecting Karma and earning at every 1,000 karma, or doing quads whenever they are available. As well, brawls are a good way to earn rax, even though I personally hate them.
Once you get enough rax for your first card, buy the best player in the sport that started their season most recently, so that you can earn as much rax as possible. Right now, I’d buy Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, or A’Ja Wilson of the WNBA.

As a freshie, raffles hall seems really appealing due to its chill vibes + more inclined to arts. But I have a few questions about the place, hoping anyone can help to answer them!! 1. Is the facilities really that run down? I consider myself quite pampered 🥲 so I worry about things such as toilet showers/washing machines being broken often or just in a really bad state. I saw elsewhere that it might be the case? So I'm really worried that the facilities are legit cmi. 2. Are the people usually shallow? I've seen this topic appear twice elsewhere about how students don't really have like philosophical discussions 101 at like 3am and people generally care more about clubbing and having shallow conversations about school and class. I would say I want to join hall for the friendships, but I wouldn't consider myself a clubber and I'm quite an introvert at heart so I really worry that once in, I'll just be an outcast. 3. Are freshies more likely to get double rooms? I overheard that freshies usually get doubles, which might be a dealbreaker as I really really don't want to share a room, esp since the rooms at rh look quite small. 4. Is staying a 2nd year truly that hard? I know residents usually take up minimally 4 ccas to qualify, but it seems that some take up to 6 or even 8, and while rh seems to be q chill, I'm worried that it's really hard to stay a 2nd year as I plan to stay all 4 years at nus. 5. In the case that rh truly isnt the place for me, I would consider houses instead. Would appreciate it if anyone could give details to staying there! Is it hard for a freshie to enter (helix hse is my top choice) considering that I have no connections?

So for the Partnerfest happening from May 18th - May 22nd. I have been trying to figure out the information as to how does one actually show they participated if its 3rd party groups hosting the mini events. And how do we get our jellybean outfit. From my research after joining the first server on the list of partners (that being the sos vp shopping server) I quickly realized i missed a part in the original post that says "we have the chance for you to win a code..." so that's interesting because what exactly is a chance? Like earn enough points and receive it (how are points calculated?) show up for an hour and earn it (how do you track our time?)
No so the way to "earn it" is by joining the servers and following their normal rules to their strategies and stuff that they're gonna be doing (in example the sos shopping server requires you to send a screenshot to show you were there for one vp then they add you to their raffle.) Yup their raffle, turns out the VP event the very first one, only has 5 codes to be given out. Let's say on this wonderful Saturday about 100 toons show up. That's about a 5% chance to get the clothing. Now of course who knows how many toons show up maybe its only like 30 or something (and who knows about multi toons). However this isnt sitting right with me completely. Considering if only 5 codes are given out per event only 50 toons will get the clothes (assuming no toons get a 2nd code by luck)
Just reading through the list of the events let's say you only need to do one run of whatever it is that's happening and generously give it 1 hour of time committed. Over the 5 days there is 10 events. All in pst time zones (not really for EU) so about 10 hours which isn't that much time committed however it is spread amongst the day not just from 7am-9am for example, it's one event at 7am the next one at 2pm. Which for normal people doesn't seem to be doable randomly throughout the day especially during working hours (events on monday - wednesday).
Final Thoughts ~ Overall i'm just kinda whining about this since, 1 everyone that participates won't get a code, and 2 even if you do every event for over an hour there's a chance you won't get one either. As someone who likes to horde and collect every clothing piece possible it is a little frustrating knowing i might not get the clothes. Not sure how others feel about this but it seems a little unfair overall and I am hoping there will be another way to get that clothing set that's not just luck based off committing a few hours to the game for the next few days.

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your kindness and advice. Today someone from Careem called me, apologized and sent us tickets to the movie for another day. I can't believe this story finally got a happy end, and I can't describe the joy and gratitude I feel about this. Careem really do care about their customers, and they promised to better coordinate their communication so nobody of us ever runs into such trouble again. Thank you Careem, and once again thanks to everyone who commented from the bottom of our hearts. <3
I thought long and hard if I should make this post but the story is too bizarre to not share. Let me start with saying that I had lots of bad luck in my life and never won anything ever (except the heart of my beautiful wife).
Imagine my excitement, then, when last Tuesday at 12pm I received a call from Careem that I have won two exclusive tickets to the cinema at the Mall of the Emirates in their raffle that I joined from their app a few weeks ago. The lady on the phone was friendly but had a rather heavy accent, plus I was just on lunch break in a noisy environment, so I told her that I was delighted to receive the prize and to please send me the details to my email address which is also verified in my Careem account, to which she agreed.
I immediately called my wife and told her the happy news. Then I waited, 3 hours, 4 hours, no mail in sight (not even in the spam folder). I called back the number that contacted me earlier and was greeted by Careem customer service. I explained the situation that I still need the details of how and where to redeem my prize, and the friendly but clueless employee told me this must have been a prank call and they never had such a raffle. Of course, this is nonsense, as I definitely signed up for that raffle and they called me from their official phone number with the happy news just 4 hours ago. He told me to write a text message in the Careem app help section instead. So far so weird, but it gets even weirder.
So I wrote them the same day, no reply. Then again the next day, no reply. On the morning of the day I was supposed to redeem my prize, I wrote Careem again, urging them to provide me with the details. Nothing came back, so I thought well maybe I did get something wrong despite all evidence pointing against it, and made other plans for the evening.
Then 5 minutes before the scheduled screening of the movie, the cinema calls and asks where I am, as the movie is supposed to start any minute. I couldn't believe my ears! I explained all the above to the man on the phone and he was perplexed and told me he will need to consult with his team what to do. He never called back nor did he pick up my calls after that. Admittedly, just like me, he probably thought this was all a big fat joke from Careem.
So here I am now, not knowing should I laugh or cry. My wife and I were so excited about spending a wonderful evening at the movies, something we don't usually have the budget for, and now we are left sad, disappointed, and most of all confused. In hindsight, I wish they had never called me about the prize to being with.
So, I don't know, maybe there's a moral to the story about Careem, or I just needed to get this off my chest. Thanks for reading I guess, and hopefully your comments and advice can cheer us up a bit.
TL;DR: We won movie tickets at a Careem raffle, but despite repeated calls and pleas for details, they never told us how to redeem them, and the cinema started the movie without us.

Fri 6 PM Pink Therapy, A Latin Dance Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Sobremesa, 3421 Coors Blvd. NW On The One and Pachanga Productions' "Salsa Therapy" night has made its mark in the Latin Dance community, now we are using the symbolism of "Therapy" under "Pink Therapy" but this time it is to fundraise in partnership with the Pink Warrior House Foundation in order to provide outreach and increase resources for those warriors battling against breast cancer. On The One and Pachanga productions will be involved in community outreach and utilizing our resources to help those in need. Cover charge is a SUGGESTED $20 donation (ALL PROCEEDS GO TO Pink Warrior House Foundation). Cocktail hour from 6-7 PM (purchases go to PWH on selected drinks). Dance lesson from 7-8 PM. Open dance floor 8-12 AM. Be aware of Media/News coverage. We need everyone's assistance with this, PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE, those warriors battling breast cancer need our help. Let's do our part. We are asking for the entire Latin dance community to come out and support. This will be one of many fundraisers that we do for organizations like PWH. This is simply a black/white scrimmage. It will be used as an educational opportunity. NSO paperwork will be used as appropriate. You are encouraged to stretch your skills. Hospitality: This is a low/no production scrimmage, bring beverages and snacks for your own use. Bathrooms: The community center may not be open during the scrimmage. (That's the trade-off for a free space). You can stop at the nearby Starbucks before the event. Expectations: Skaters and Skating and Non-skating Officials are expected to follow all WFTDA Risk Management Guidelines. Sun 2 – 3:30 PM Cuidando los Niños Fundraiser Cookie Class Sweet Pea Bakery, 2500 Central Ave SW Join us for a fun night out while making an impact in our community! Light House Studio and Sweet Pea Bakery are teaming up to host a cookie decorating class to benefit Cuidando los Ninos. This will be a full 1.5 hour class where local cookie artist Katie Sacoman walks you through decorating three floral themed sugar cookies. Each participant also receives a personalized cookie with their name on it. 50% of each ticket sold goes to benefit Cuidando los Ninos, a local organization working to break the cycle of homelessness for children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education, case management, supportive housing, and parent education. *This class will be good for participants age 10 and up. Please keep in mind it is an hour and a half long guided class. You know your child best!*

The Hideout DOJRP is a serious roleplay server which has been running for 3+ years and still going strong with over 31,000 members! Being a part of this server allows you to partake in being a mechanic, police officer, EMS, or even a business owner, while having an amazing community surrounding you!

Police - Being a police officer means that YOU are the one protecting the state of San Andreas, and ensuring all of its residents are safe. We have 3 departments, Los Santos Police Department, Blaine County Sheriffs Office, and San Andreas State Troopers, with each department offering it's own unique benefits and opportunities.
Player owned businesses - In our server, we have a vast amount of player owned business starting from mechanic shops and dealerships, to restaurants and even dispensaries. Being an employee at any of these businesses opens a lot of opportunity to earn a lot of money, and to explore the city. You also can apply to own any open business to get a chance at owning any of them. Applications are open to anyone that plays in our server, no matter how long you have been in it.
Events - A very special part of our server are events. They allow people to bring in the community to a spot in the city to enjoy themselves, party, or even raffle off cars. You can either do a pop up event you handle yourself, or you can contact any one of our dedicated Event Coordinators to set up an organized event with prizes, challenges etc. There are almost no limits to an event, so go wild!

Greetings Exiles! For those of you who may or not be aware the Funcom team have been working on conjunction with the Save the Children charity organization in order to raise donations and money to help out this charity.
As part of this charity event, they auctioned off four items in total and as a server we've managed to purchase two of these items. To celebrate just how much we love this community and to further help support this amazing fundraising idea we're going to run a charity drive of our own after several of you have asked us to do so.
In order to truly show our commitment we have decided that we are going to give the two won items away as raffle prizes for everyone that gets involved. We'll be taking donations of all shapes and sizes and will give the highest donator at the end of this their own unique Discord role as a thanks for their generosity but besides that we'll be selling raffle tickets at $10 per ticket, up to a maximum of three tickets. We'll continue to collect these donations over the next few weeks.
Once you have donated to our Ko-Fi link, open a ticket about your donation amount and you will be entered into the raffle. Anyone is welcome, whether they are part of the Oblivion server or from other servers, we can all make a difference if we work together. Our last charity fundraiser for Able Gamers received over $3,300 dollars! Anyone that donates will be in with a chance to win, the prizes up for grabs are as follows:

• Noblechairs HERO Gaming Chair, this chair is custom made to celebrate Conan's 6 year anniversary. This prize is valued at $550.00
  
• Cherry XTRFY Gaming Set which includes a custom keyboard, wireless mouse and GP5 mouse pad XL. This prize is valued at $250.00
  

Note: In the event of any shipping difficulties, specifically in the case of the Chair, you will instead be given the money equivalent to what we paid for each item instead. The logistics of such are still needed to be figured out.
