Any help is appreciated! šŸ™šŸ¼
Hello all, I have been trying to find the courage to get on here and post one of my personal biggest insecurities despite how minor it is in comparison to others who are/have suffered more than I have with this. I am a 33-year-old male who struggled greatly with cystic acne throughout my teens and into my 20s. The acne has since improved but I still get minor breakouts here and there. The cystic acne was painful and embarrassing, I would find any way possible to hide or cover myself up, even going as far as using my momā€˜s make up to cover the redness and swelling that I would experience. Unfortunately, I was not wise enough to leave my face alone and did not have the means at the time to seek the proper help so I am now dealing with the aftermath of it. My scars are mostly around my jawline and on my temples, some deeper than others and highly visible under the right lighting (donā€™t think these pics really do it justice). My cheeks also have enlarged pores, and I have uneven skin tone throughout my entire face (redness, dark spots). Not sure if it was caught well in these pictures but undearound my jawline I have whatā€™s basically a dark patch of skin and mild scars from all the acne that I had in this area. Now as an adult, Iā€™m very insecure about it and Iā€™m seeking help or recommendations on what I can do to improve my skin tone as well as scarring in the enlarged pores. Thank you all in advance for the value that you add to this community. It feels great to have somewhere to be able to be vulnerable and talk about this openly.

2024.05.21 15:35 Mediocre_Law_5557 Kengan OC Annihilation Tournament Sixth Match: "The Boulders & The Bees"

The atmosphere in the arena was electric, with anticipation crackling in the air like electricity. Spectators filled every seat, their eyes trained eagerly on the ring, awaiting the clash of titans about to unfold. The announcer's voice boomed over the speakers, commanding attention.
"Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for a battle of epic proportions! In the blue corner, hailing from the land of the rising sun, standing at an impressive 6 feet 2 inches tall, we have Jin 'The Funeral Dove' Kazuya!"
Jin stepped into the ring, his presence commanding respect despite his slender frame. His black hair fell messily around his pale face, his eyes gleaming with determination as he prepared to face his opponent.
"And in the red corner, representing the pride of England, towering at an astonishing 210 centimeters and weighing in at a mighty 153 kilograms, we have Aaron!"
The crowd erupted into cheers as Aaron made his entrance, his imposing stature casting a shadow over the ring. His cold demeanor belied the raw power that emanated from every muscle in his body, his reputation as a heavyweight boxer preceding him like a thunderclap.
As the bell rang, signaling the start of the match, the two fighters wasted no time in sizing each other up. Jin moved with the grace of a dancer, his agile footwork keeping him just out of Aaron's reach. He launched a flurry of kicks, each one aimed with deadly accuracy, but Aaron remained unfazed, his focus unwavering.
With a grunt of exertion, Aaron closed the distance between them, unleashing a barrage of thunderous punches aimed at Jin's midsection. But Jin was no easy target, his evasive maneuvers and quick reflexes allowing him to dodge and weave through Aaron's onslaught with ease.
The crowd watched in awe as the two fighters exchanged blows, each one a testament to their skill and determination. Jin danced around Aaron, his kicks coming at lightning speed from all angles, while Aaron pressed forward relentlessly, his punches like battering rams.
As the match wore on, the tension in the arena reached a fever pitch. Jin's agility and precision kept him one step ahead of Aaron's brute strength, but the Englishman refused to relent, his punches growing more ferocious with each passing moment.
In a sudden burst of speed, Jin launched himself into the air, his leg extending in a powerful kick aimed directly at Aaron's head. The crowd held its breath as the kick connected with a resounding crack, sending shockwaves rippling through the arena.
But Aaron was made of sterner stuff, his iron will and determination keeping him on his feet despite the force of Jin's blow. With a roar of defiance, he retaliated with a devastating punch aimed at Jin's chest, but the Japanese fighter was already one step ahead.
With lightning-fast reflexes, Jin twisted his body to the side, narrowly avoiding the full force of Aaron's blow. In one fluid motion, he lashed out with another kick, this time aimed at Aaron's legs, seeking to weaken his opponent's stance.
The crowd watched in rapt silence as the two fighters continued to trade blows, each one a testament to their skill and determination. But in the end, it was Jin who emerged victorious, his agility and precision proving to be the deciding factors in the match.
As Aaron staggered backwards, his strength finally failing him, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause, their admiration for both fighters evident in the thunderous applause that filled the arena. Despite the outcome, both men had given their all in the pursuit of victory, and their bravery and skill would be remembered long after the final bell had rung.

2024.05.21 15:27 ToniaHarding With windows with shiny metallic blackout cling film applied is there a risk of the glass cracking due to sunlight bending/being concentrated into 1 spot? Especially sunny days in winter?

In a review of window cling film on Amazon, a customer wrote that the film broke their glass! I don't remember which product it was and I don't feel like spending the time to search for it.
The only way I can think of this happening is if the sun was especially bright that day, and the glossiness of the window cling film caused the sunglight to bend at such an angle to become concentrated and thus make a hot spot on the glass where the other areas of the glass remained relatively cool/cold. (Or maybe they just pressed to hard with the scoremetal razor tool when trying to cut the film to size.)
Should I be worried about my window on my third-floor, north-facing apartment getting cracked by sunlight being reflected by window cling film, perhaps aluminum-foil lined window cling?
I should also not that just outside my bedroom window is the fourth floor balcony, which acts as the ceiling/roof for my third floor balcony, which I'm guessing would prevent some sunlight from touching my glass, the way the brim of a baseball cap or visor would keep not all but most of the sunlight from reaching your eyeballs.
I haven't purchased any window cling film yet. So I don't know what types and brands I'll be getting. But you can type in "Window cling film" into Amazon or eBay and see many different brands.
But I'd like to get a "blinds pattern" white type (because this is the type that mimics the look of venetian blinds), and put that one on first. I'd put it on the inner side of my bedroom window. This is so that I'd be obeying my strata rules that call for all occupants to have similar-looking window treatments, so that the building looks uniform from afar. My apartment came with light (white? beige? light grey? off-white?) venetian blinds, and it appears to me that all the other residents of my building have these same blinds.
Then, in order to block out as much sunlight as possible from entering my room, as well as to block heat since I'm worried about surviving a potential heat wave, I'd put aluminum or other metallic-looking or matte black window cling film on top of it, and/or that heat-abating window cling film.
It's not just Amazon that sells these; I've seen them at brick-and-mortar hardware stores too, though they only sell the heat-abating ones, and tinted (only partial blackout; not 100% blackout), and privacy ones. I haven't seen any blinds pattern ones at my local hardware stores.
I work the night/graveyard shift. So I sleep during the day. In Canada.

Boaty boaty mcfloaty all the way north
Today started gentler than expected, both of us awake before the alarm. I forgot how early first light is, already the city was waking up in the dim blue of the predawn. We brushed our teeth and got dressed and muttered about how ridiculous it was that we needed to be at the ferry terminal an hour early. They weren't going to check anything besides our tickets, but then again, we've heard worse stories about dumber technicalities. Just after 430 we were outside and a few minutes later we were away.
The city in the morning was mostly quiet, a few trucks rumbling on the highway. Luckily the forecasted rain had already ended, I had fully expected to have the added misery of being wet and cold to the headache of being up too early. We arrived somewhat breathless to the ferry terminal, a giant ferry awaiting us. Lines and lines of heavy trucks were waiting their turn to load while lots of cars were also waiting. Looks like everyone took the hour before rule seriously. An attendant looked at our QR codes and told us to put a sign that he gave us on our bikes and put them to the side while we waited for general boarding, which was in 45 minutes. Grumbling, we parked our bikes and went inside the terminal.
The terminal was simple but clean, I double checked the reservation with someone at a computer as I had nothing better to do. Upstairs there was a small gift shop where we bought a box of cookies for our upcoming host. Seemed like we should try to get them something from a region they're not from, though I'm sure they'll appreciate the sentiment. The cookies do look tasty though. We shared a drink from a machine and stared out the window, a little dazed. Framed tourism posters were hung about the space, one for each region in Japan. I initially thought they were anime posters, but it seems that's just how ads are made. Maybe one inspired the other.
Eventually it was time to board, we were the last as is usual when we're biking. We walked our bikes up the ramp to the second deck and were ushered to one side where after we had removed our bags our bikes were wrapped in blankets and secured to the wall. We thanked them and headed into the ferry. The third deck had a check in counter where we got a key to our room, which was a private room but not facing the ocean. We only wanted the room to nap in, so that was fine. The third deck had bunk rooms as well as a room where you just got a section of the floor, while the fourth deck had the private rooms, the ones facing in like ours and the more expensive ones facing out. The fifth deck had the deluxe rooms as well as the suites (which I don't think were even available to rent). We plunked down our bags and I went back to sleep.
I found the rocking motion of the ship rather soothing while laying down, and settled into a light nap for a few hours. Around 830, both of us needed something to eat, so we went to explore the ship's amenities. We found the cafe, which had a disappointingly small selection of things to eat. We later would find out that the restaurant that serves breakfast did not open, probably leading to a run on the pastries. We got a cookie and coffee and sat at a table, watching the waves go by. Bryce informed me that he gets seasick around this time, leading me to ask him why he wanted to do this then. He just likes boats I guess.
After breakfast we wandered around to see the amenities. We found the grill restaurant that was more expensive than we cared to spend on, a small arcade with machines from the 80's, some air hockey tables (the sports corner), a theatre with a 10am showing of Tom and Jerry, some vending machines (ice cream time), the onsens, a yellowed smoking room straight out of 1994, a business corner, and a kids corner with blocks. I wanted to play with the blocks but didn't. They would never understand. Also kids are gross and I'm sick enough already. Overall, the same as anything else we've seen in Japan, a relic of the 80's, still spotless, still running, but at 10% capacity. More employees than you can shake a stick at, all doing their very best job.
I felt a little ill after writing for awhile so I went to go lay down while Bryce went to the arcade, promising to nobody in particular that he was going to wait til lunch to crack open a cold one. I said I didn't care but good luck with that as I went back to bed. Being horizontal with nowhere to go felt good for awhile. I had a lot of writing to catch up on.
Towards lunch I got up and found Bryce in front of a slot machine with a strong zero in his hand. I said nothing about the pre lunch drink, but asked if he won anything. One of the machines you could spin all you like, so we did that for awhile. There was one machine that looked fun, so I played a top down shooter for awhile while Bryce tried his luck at some godawful prize machine full of dusty crap. Eventually the restaurant opened for lunch and we filed. There was a 25th anniversary ramen available, and we both got that, along with a croissant. The ramen was pretty good, I found the shio broth comforting. The croissant was because it didn't fill us up enough.
After lunch I was in the mood for a bath. An onsen on a ship felt like a luxury I wanted to try and I thought it would be restful. Bryce had no interest in trying his luck at hiding his tattoos, I didn't care if I got kicked out at this point. What're they gonna do, tell me to get off at the next stop? I did what I always do, hold a hand towel over my arm and mind my business. As expected, not many people were using the bath after lunch and I had it to myself aside from a mother and her babbling toddler who only spent a few minutes there. The bath had a view of the mountains of hokkaido in the distance, and Hakodate a little closer. It was a neat sight to be in a hot open bath while watching the ocean go by. The rest of the ship was whatever but this was nice. I did a few laps of the bath and cold water, and sat in the steam room, hoping the hot air would somehow cure my ailments. I got a chance to properly wash my hair, which had become just fouled from all the road dust, sweat, and body oils that had built up. Gross. I don't usually shampoo as I don't usually need to, but once a week or so I definitely need it while on the road.
After the onsen I went to go see how Bryce was doing, happily reading his book in a chair by the ocean. He accompanied me to the room to lay down for awhile, the hot water and sloshing of the rough seas making me feel a little ill again. In our room, we heard a faraway bang like we hit something. I'm sure it's nothing. The ship sure seemed like it was leaning more to one side though. We didn't do too much else for the rest of the ride, we did a few more laps of the ship trying to find more things. We did find the forward saloon, which sounds wild but is merely a room facing forward with comfy couches. Unfortunately all the windows are blocked off, so the room is a little pointless other than a private space to talk or read in a dim room. The ship overall was comfortable, but I definitely got a little nauseated from the rough seas.
The ship finally docked, late, and we were let out to the open air of Hokkaido. It's a bit chilly here! I immediately noticed the change in air, it's less humid for sure. It will be a shift to go back to cool temperatures but a welcome one. Nights in the tent should be much less sticky at least! Good thing we still have our biking tights, riding in just shorts is pretty cold here in the evening. Truthfully though the cool temperatures is better for biking and I wasn't really enjoying the heat, so this is a welcome surprise.
We docked at the east port of Tomakomai, which meant we had to bike into the city where we planned to stay another night. I needed another really solid sleep to finally kick this illness, so one more hotel night before we braved the wilderness south of Sapporo. We braced ourselves and headed west, directly into a heavy crosswind that was some of the steadiest and toughest wind we've seen yet. It swept right over the flat grassy areas on the coast, really reminding us of the prairies. Everything is so spread out here compared to the rest of the country, I wonder if Sapporo is like this too.
After a rough push through the wind on roads that were somewhat falling apart from the truck traffic and a lack of maintenance, we got to a town about halfway. The nausea from the boat was getting to me and we were both too hungry to go further without a bite to eat. Luckily Hokkaido has their own brand of conbinis and we were more than happy to see some new products. We got their take on fried chicken, some Hokkaido grown potato wedges and some soft drinks we hadn't seen yet. The wedges were great, the chicken was good and one of the drinks was terrible. Sour bubbly water with no flavor. What's the point?
Biking further into the city now, we rode over bumpy roads on very wide, very long roads designed entirely for cars in mind. Don't get me wrong the bike path was nice but the distances between buildings reminded me again of the prairies. It takes forever to get anywhere! I might find the streets of Hokkaido a little dull if things are this spread out, but then again we couldn't even scratch the surface of things before so maybe we won't feel like we're missing out as much.
We stopped twice for bike parts, Bryce getting a new tube to hold on reserve, I got a spoke wrench that I'm excited to try out. My rear wheel should be well tensioned, so I can go off of that. Next we headed to the hotel. We debated laundry tonight, but ultimately there were a few too many things to do and I'd rather enjoy myself, get to bed on time and then get up and do laundry over breakfast tomorrow. The hotel was lovely enough, with little surprises for later. First we needed a proper dinner.
Barbecue was on the mind, but we landed up at an izakaya. We ordered edamame, a green salad, chicken wings, a plate of assorted skewers and more hokkaido potatoes. The potatoes, again, were far and away the best part of the meal. The company was a group of red-faced salarymen watching a baseball game along with the rest of the staff who were also eagerly watching the action. The Izakaya had all sorts of baseball accoutrements which made watching fun. Normally I'd rather peel off my fingernails one by one then watch baseball, but with some friendly folks letting me know when to be excited with their cheering I can enjoy it. As we were leaving one man gave us some lemon candies he had and Bryce surprised him by having maple candies for everyone in the building, much to their delight.
Bryce needed to recoat his jacket, so we went to a parking lot and did that under a streetlight. It would need to dry overnight, another reason to do the laundry in the morning. I wanted a piece of the onsen on the top level. Inside there were three baths, two hot and one cold, with one of the hot baths being outside. I luxuriated outside by myself for some time in the cool air, as well as the hot bath indoors in the wood panelled room, and a sauna with a tv inside! All very nice. I took advantage of the cleaners and lotions available, and the freezer full of popsicles outside the onsen.
Back in the room, there was a fruit jelly waiting for us in the fridge which we enjoyed, a strawberry puree. But the treats weren't over yet, from 930-11pm we could enjoy the hotel's original late night ramen. Now this isn't something I want to have late at night normally, but this is exactly the kind of thing that makes me smile. Time limited free food? I'll set an alarm. The soup itself was nothing special, but the presentation and the fact I could have it in hotel jammies made it all the better. Truly, a good rest day. I could have done without the 20km ride in the wind, but I can't have everything I guess.

2024.05.21 15:04 L0k1blaze Body isn't feeling right, multiple unusual feelings (aches, icy water flashes, pains, body feeling like it's sick) across my body.

28 year old male, 6'1, 185 lbs, no known medical issues, non-smoker, VERY light drinker, no recreational drugs.
My primary complaint is that my body isn't feeling normal. Over the past several months I've noticed these unusual feelings (aches, pains, ice-hot flashes) spreading throughout my body. It started in my thighs with icy water flashes (like someone dropping ice cold water on my nerves) and eventually it graduated to small aches and pains in my thighs, arms, feet, hands and abdomen (nothing in my face, back, neck etc.)
The feelings vary on type, but two things they all have in common is they cover a small area (ranging from the size of a circle with 1in diameter to the length of my finger) and they last a few seconds. It started off light (maybe once every several days), but now I get these feelings constantly. My abdomen is mostly soreness like aches that remind me of after I workout, but occasionally I get the icy-cold feeling. My hands, arms, and legs are mostly aches now (they last a few seconds).
I've had pains in my chest too, sometimes around my heart. Yesterday I had a tightness in my chest that felt like somebody was squeezing the inside of my chest.
I've also recently started feeling sick. I was talking to someone about this last night and right then I started feeling like I had a cold and I woke up feeling like that today (still do).
I also have this weird pounding sensation in my left ear sometimes. I don't believe it's related, but it feels like there's something in there because I can feel my blood pumping through it for a few seconds.
FYI, I'm pretty sure this isn't stress. I know what stress does to my body and this isn't it.
Other info that I believe is relevant.
  1. I got the Pfizer vaccine (yes, I know what this subreddit's policies are on vaccine misinformation, but I believe it's important).
  2. I've been to the ER twice now (earliest was last year), specifically for chest-related issues, self-admitted. Both times I had chest x-rays done, blood work, the latest one I had a d-dimer test. Both times they gave me a clean bill of health.
I had some blood work done that was ordered by my doctor, I haven't gotten the results back yet.

2024.05.21 15:01 FelicitySmoak_ Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - Jackson v. AEG Live Day 15

Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - Jackson v. AEG Live Day 15
Trial Day 15
Katherine, Rebbie and Trent Jackson are at court.
LA Times reported that the Jacksons offered a settlement.
Kevin Boyle , a lawyer for Katherine Jackson and Michael's kids , said they offered to settle the lawsuit against AEG, but that they never got an answer. Kevin Boyle said the family made the offers in January & March. Boyle would not provide details but said AEG's insurance would have paid, which means they could have settled the case without them paying a dime of their money. He said AEG has never offered to settle & they haven't apologized.
Marvin Putnam, an attorney for AEG, said it was inappropriate to discuss settlement discussions:
"We don't settle matters that are utterly baseless. We believe that is the case in this matter. I can't see why we would consider a settlement as anything other than a shakedown"
CNN Reports there was a snack controversy during trial: AEG lawyers gave a bag of peppermint candy to the bailiff to hand out to the jury this week. Even Katherine Jackson enjoyed the treat but Jackson's lawyer raised an objection, suggesting jurors might be influenced if they realized the source of the sweets. A compromise was reached. Each side can provide snacks for jurors, but they'll be placed at the bailiff's desk before jurors enter court so they have no clue who brought it.
Shawn Trell Testimony
Jackson direct
AEG Live General Counsel, Shawn Trell, told jurors that he had forgotten that Kenny Ortega was working under a signed contract.
Trell said he met with his attorneys last night and reviewed one doc -- Kenny Ortega's contract.
"He had a written contract," Trell said. "I remember the email dynamic. I'm not too proud to admit that I didn't recall the cover contract," Trell said he was changing his previous testimony to add that Ortega had a written contract, not only emails between him and AEG
Next topic was Insurance: Cancellation/Non-Appearance/Sickness. Trell said he started working on insurance for the tour in November of 2008. Panish showed several chains of emails where the parties talked about the insurance for the tour
Email from Bob Taylor insurance broker to Trell on 1/7/09:
"Prior to speaking with carriers we ask the artist to attend medical with a doctor...A full medical with both blood/urine tests. The doctor also wants to review the medical records over the last 5 years to ensure full disclosure. Insurers require further medical examination to be carried out by their nominated doctor. They may restrict illness coverage or death from illness coverage until this examination has taken place"
Email from 4/30/09 - Wooley to Trell :
"We have no coverage against Michael sickness unless and until he submits to another medical in London
Email from 5/28/09 - Trell to Taylor:
"We really need to get that medical done"
Email from 6/23/09 - Trell to Taylor :
"Any update on the availability of Term insurance?" (life insurance)
Trell said if they secured life insurance, they would get money if Michael died.
"We would get the money owed to us, yes," Trell testified.
Trell also said he continued discussions with an insurance broker about additional coverage to recoup AEG Live's investment if the tour had to be canceled.
Email from 6/24/09 -Taylor to Trell :
"Insurers have refused to move on this. Huge amount of speculation in the media regarding artist's health. They feel if they're to consider providing illness to cover this particular artist, they must have very through medical report"
Email from 6/25/09 - Gongaware to Taylor :
"If we don't get sickness coverage, we are dropping this policy"
Email from 6/25/09 - Taylor to Gongaware :
"The consultation in London is critical. The doctor is holding the afternoon of the 6th July open at Harley St. But keep in mind the visit could take 2 hours plus"
Next topic: Budget/Costs. Panish showed an email from AEG's Rick Webking to Michael's estate with 1st report of artist advances/expenses. This was a letter sent to the estate containing the expenses incurred, Trell said.
"It seems to me we submitted this report for their review, I don't see any request for payment," Trell said.
Trell said he spoke with Randy Phillips and Paul Gongaware about Michael's physical condition prior to coming to testify.
"I had heard about rehearsals in which Mr. Jackson was fantastic," Trell said
Trell said he's aware of email from Ortega saying doctor was not allowing Michael to attend rehearsal on June 14, 2009.
"I was aware of the doctor not allowing him to attend rehearsal," Trell said
Email from 6/17/09 from Phillips:
"...Ortega, Gongaware, Dileo, and his doctor Conrad from Vegas and I have an intervention with him to get him to focus and come to rehearsal"
Email from 6/17/09 from Gongaware to Phillip's assistant:
"We need a physical therapist and a nutritionist"
Email from Production Manager - Gongaware/Phillips on 6/19/09 :
"Paul/Randy I'm not bring a drama queen here. Kenny asked me to notify you both Michael was sent home without stepping foot on stage. He was a basket case and Kenny was concerned he would embarrass himself on stage, or worse yet, be hurt. The company is rehearsing right now, but the DOUBT is pervasive"
Email from Randy Phillips to Tim Leiweke on 6/19/09 :
"We have a huge problem here."
"I think he recognized there was a problem on the 19th," Trell said. "I would take it seriously, as I believe Mr. Phillips did."
Trell agreed with a statement by plaintiff's attorney, Brian Panish, that company executives knew by then there was a "deep issue" with Jackson
Does Trell consider that exchange a "red flag" that AEG Live should have noticed, Panish asked.
"I would take it seriously, as I believe Mr. Phillips did," Trell answered. "I don't know I would use the word 'red flag'
One of the emails shown to the jury was from Jackson estate co-executor John Branca, sent 5 days before Jackson's death & marked 'confidential':
"I have the right therapist/spiritual advisosubstance abuse counselor who could help (recently helped Mike Tyson get sober and paroled) Do we know whether there is a substance issue involved (perhaps better discussed on the phone)
The email was sent the same day that a meeting was held at Jackson's home with Murray. No further info given to jury.
Trell said Mr. Phillips never told him about this email
Email from Ortega to Randy Phillips on 6/20/09: (chain of emails)
"I honestly don't think he is ready for this based on his continued physical weakening and deepening emotional state"
Trell said he didn't see these emails. He said he spoke with Randy Phillips about Phillips' perception of Michael, in order to prepare for testifying, but not about specific emails. Trell has been designated as the most qualified person to speak on behalf of AEG
Email from Phillips to Gongaware on 6/20/09 at 1:52 am :
"Tim and I are going to see him tomorrow, however, I'm not sure what the problem is Chemical or Physiological?"
From Gongaware to Phillips, on 6/20/09 at 5:59 am :
"Take the doctor with you. Why wasn't he there last night?"
From Phillips to Gongaware, on 6/20/09 at 2:01 pm :
"He is not a psychiatrist so I'm not sure how effective he can be at this point obviously, getting him there is not the issue. It is much deeper"
Trell said Randy Phillips went to a handful of rehearsals, three at the Forum and two at Staples Center. The head of the marketing department attended rehearsal on June 23, 2009.
"She was blown away by it," Trell testified.
He said he was unaware of issues with Jackson at rehearsals.
"I knew of no problems with Michael Jackson at all",Trell testified.
Trell said he never saw the emails from Phillips directing people to exclude images from This Is It of Michael looking "skeletal" while rehearsing.
"What were his observations of Michael's physical condition during rehearsal," Trell said. "I asked for his (Phillips) personal opinion."
Next line of questioning is about human resources and background checks. Trell said they can be valuable and useful tools when hiring. Background check costs around $40 to $125. Trell said AEG Live could afford this fee. "We don't do background checks on independent contractors," Trell said. Trell said he was involved in the hiring by AEG Live for the This Is It tour. His department was responsible for retaining independent contractors. Trell said he is not familiar with background check process for hiring.
"I am not familiar with the process of doing background checks," Trell said. "No training."

Panish: "There was no hiring criteria for the This Is It tour, correct?"
Trell: "Not to my knowledge"
Trell testified that when it comes to independent contractors, they have either worked with the artists, AEG or known in the industry. Trell agreed that no background check was done on anyone working on the This Is It tour. AEG Live General Counsel Shawn Trell told jurors that no legal or financial checks were done involving Conrad Murray or anyone else who worked as an independent contractor on the This Is It shows.
Depending on the nature of the position, a background could be done, Trell said, like for potential employees in the financial area. Trell said he thought a background check would be appropriate for people working in financial roles, but not tour personnel who weren't employees of AEG
As to independent contractors, Trell said there's no supervision and monitoring like there's for employees
Panish: "You don't do anything to check into background, supervise or protect the artist?"
Trell: "No, safety is a concern"
Trell said that AEG did not hire Murray, that the doctor was like many independent contractors,
"When they leave the environment, what they do on their own time is their own business"
Trell testified he doesn't believe the artist is more at risk because AEG Live doesn't do background checks
"We did nothing to monitor Dr. Murray," Trell said. "We did not monitor whatever it was that he was doing, no."
"It called for Michael Jackson being able to terminate Dr. Murray at will," Trell said about the contract. "If the concerts didn't go forward, and he was terminated under this provision, Dr. Murray would not be paid going forward," Trell explained
As to Dr Murray being under dire financial straits, Trell said that he doesn't know if he agrees with it, everyone's perception is different
Trell: "I certainly wasn't aware of it at the time"
Panish: "Because you didn't check, right?"
Trell: "That's right"
"I don't think conflict of interests are a good thing, and we would want to prevent it," Trell said
Email from Kathy Jorie to Shawn Trell on 6/24/09 at 12:54 am:
Subject: Revised agreement with GCA Holdings/Dr. MurrayIt had two attachments Attachments: Revised Michael Jackson -AEG GCA Holdings Murray Agreement 6-18-09 Final MJ -- AEG GCA Holdings Agreement (Dr. Murray) 6-23-09
Email chain from 6/23/09, 5:39pm from Jorrie to Wooley, Murray
Subject: RE: Michael Jackson - Revised Agreement with GCA Holdings/Dr. Murray Email:
"I have redlined the Word version so that you can see all of the revisions. In addition, I've attached clean PDF version for execution" (The email says that if Dr. Murray approved it, he was to print it, sign and send it back to Jorrie)

Panish: "Did Ms. Jorrie call this contract a draft?"
Trell: "She called it a Final Version"
"Every document is a draft until it is executed," Trell said.
Panish showed emails exchanged among AEG executives that contained drafts of Murray's contract. Although Murray had signed a contract with the company, neither Jackson nor anyone from AEG had added their signatures. Trell testified that a copy of the contract had never been sent to Jackson
With Trell on the stand, Panish played part of an interview that AEG Live President Randy Phillips gave to Sky News television soon after Michael's death.
"This guy was willing to leave his practice for a very large sum of money, so we hired him," Phillips said.
Panish also showed jurors an e-mail between AEG lawyers suggesting that Phillips told other interviewers AEG Live "hired" Murray.
Panish: "Isn't it true that Randy Phillips made numerous comments that AEG Live hired Dr. Murray?"
Trell: "I know he has made that statement"
Panish said AEG higher-ups became concerned after Phillips made such admission. Trell said he didn't know if that was true. Bruce Black is the General Counsel for parent company of AEG and AEG Live. Michael Roth is AEG's media relations
Email from Kathy Jorrie to Bruce Black and Michael Roth on 8/25/09:
Subject: AEG Live president says AEG Live hired Dr. Conrad Murray
Panish shows Trell a deposition, under oath, given by insurance broker Bob Taylor on another case. Trell said he has never seen or read it. Trell denied having a telephone conversation with Mr. Taylor where Trell asked him if a doctor's compensation was covered in the insurance.
Panish: "Does that refresh your recollection that AEG was employing Dr. Murray?"
Trell: "Mr. Taylor has this completely wrong"
After lunch break, Brian Panish asked if Shawn Trell wanted to change anything else in his testimony, to which he said "No"
Bruce Black, attorney for Anschutz, was present in the meeting with LAPD. Trell met with the police on 1/12/10. Trell told the police that day that Dr. Murray would receive $150,000 compensation per month. Trell also said that Dr. Murray requested and AEG would provide necessary medical equipment and a nurse. More than five months after Jackson's death, Trell said, he informed LAPD detectives that Murray initially requested $5 million to join the tour but eventually agreed to a salary of $150,000 a month for 10 months.
Panish: "As far as you know, all the agreements written for TII tour was done under AEG Live Productions, right?"
Trell: "Yes"
Panish: "Was Dr. Murray trying to help AEG get insurance?"
Trell: "The policy was in both names, so he was helping both parties"
Trell said Dennis Hawk, who represented Michael, was in touch with Taylor regarding the insurance
Panish: "As of June 2009, you don't even know whether Mr. Jackson had a personal manager
working for him, right?"
Trell: "Well, my understanding at the time there were a couple of people acting in that capacity"
Email on 6/2/09 from Randy Phillips to Jeff Wald:
"Jeff, remember getting Michael to focus is not the easiest thing in the world and we still have no lawyer, business manager, or, even real manager in place. It is a nightmare!"
Trell said the only time he saw an artist's signature required to retain an independent contractor was for Dr. Murray. Trell said his understanding was that Dr. Murray worked for Michael for 3 years; didn't know how many times MJ saw Dr. Murray.
"I've never spoken with Dr. Murray ever. And I met/spoke with Mr. Jackson once," Trell said.

"He was a significant expense," Trell testified about Dr. Murray.
Trell said AEG Live didn't do anything to check Dr. Murray's competency as doctor, other than checking his physician license. Trell said AEG didn't do anything to determine Dr. Murray's financial conditions in 2009.
Jury was shown an email that Phillips sent to Kenny Ortega on night of June 20, 2009. It was email urging Ortega to stand down.
Email on 6/20/09 Phillips to Ortega :
"Kenny it's critical that neither you, me, anyone around this show become amateur psychiatrist/physicians. I had a lengthy conversation with Dr. Murray, who I am gaining immense respect for as I get to deal with him more. He said that Michael is not only physically equipped to perform & discouraging him to will hasten his decline instead of stopping it. Dr. Murray also reiterated that he is mentally able to and was speaking to me from the house where he had spent the morning with Michael. This doctor is extremely successful (we check everyone out) and does not need this gig so he is totally unbiased and ethical"
Panish asked Trell whether Phillips "characterization to Ortega, given no background check was done, was a lie". Trell responded that he didn't know what Phillips knew or was thinking when he wrote that email to Ortega. Trell also said he expected Randy Phillips to testify at some point during the trial, so he could address the email himself
Panish then asked Trell, "Sir, you never checked out one single thing about Dr. Murray -- you've already told me that, correct?"
"As of the date of the email, that would've been correct",Trell said.
When pressed by Panish, Trell said that Phillips' statement that Murray had been checked out, along with the executive's claim that the doctor 'does not need this gig' were inaccurate.
"I don't know where Randy's understanding or impression comes from", Trell said.
Trell testified that Phillips might have been "misinformed" or simply was stating his impression of the Las Vegas cardiologist
Panish: "But no one at AEG checked Dr. Murray to see if he was successful or not, isn't that true?"
Trell: "Yes"
Panish then asked several pointed questions about whether Shawn Trell agreed with Phillips telling Ortega they'd checked Murray out. One of Panish's questions was whether Trell thought Phillips' email was 'acceptable conduct'
Panish called Phillips' statement "a flat out lie" and asked Trell whether he agreed with it or if it signified how AEG did business. Trell said he didn't know what Phillips thought he knew when he wrote the message.
"I know this statement is not accurate, but you'd have to speak with Mr. Phillips about what he thought or meant in saying it," Trell said.

Panish: "That's a flat out lie, isn't it sir?"
Trell: "I don't know what Mr. Phillips intended to say, this should be a question to him"
Panish: "You don't know if he was successful or facing bankruptcy, did you?"
Trell: "No"
Trell: "I know the statement is not accurate. You have to speak with Mr. Phillips about what he meant to say"
Panish: "Do you agree with the CEO of your company making untrue statements?"
Trell: "I don't know that he didn't know it wasn't true when he said it"
Trell said Phillips never told him that he checked Dr. Murray out. As to reference in Phillips' email about Dr. Murray being unbiased, ethical, not needing this gig, Trell said it was Phillips' impressions. He said AEG typically only runs background checks on candidates applying for full-time jobs with AEG, not independent contractors.
Panish: "Isn't it true AEG Live does not do background check on independent contractors?"
Trell: "That's true"
Trell said that no one from AEG interviewed Dr. Murray because he was an independent contractor.
"Did anyone from AEG ever at any time interview Dr. Murray", asked Brian Panish
"No", Trell replied.
Panish showed a document used by AEG entitled "Disclosure and Authorization to Conduct Background Check". Doc is used for employment, promotion, retention, contingent or the rate staffing, consulting, sub-contract work, or volunteer work. Panish asked if there was any reason why Dr. Murray was not given a background check.
"He wasn't an employee, he wasn't applying for a full time position with the company," Trell explained.
Trell said theoretically they could've asked to check Dr. Murray's background and credit.
AEG Cross
Jessica Bina began her examination by showing the letter submitted by AEG's CFO to the Estate of Michael Jackson for their review. She asked Shawn Trell about the estimate presented to Jackson's estate that included Murray's $300k fees. She asked why it was prepared. Shawn Trell said it was done at the request of the estate. He said Jackson's estate wanted to know state of tour finances when Jackson died. Trell said the report was requested by the Estate after a series of meetings after Michael's death.
"The purpose of the meeting was to wind up the business affairs of the tour due to Michael's death", Trell said. "It was my understating in June Tohme was back in the picture in some capacity. I'm not sure which, Mr. DiLeo was in it too," Trell said
Bina: "Is there any request for payment?"
Trell: "No, there's no demand for payment, it's for review"
Stebbins Bina asked about the inclusion of Murray's fee in the document. Bina showed the report that was attached to the letter. Murray's fee on the document had a footnote. Trell read what that footnote said, and explained why estate wasn't asked for Murray's fee. Next to "Management Medical" there's a reference to footnote 3.
Note 3: 'Contract is not signed by Michael Jackson and such signature was condition precedent to any payment obligation' - Footnote on Murray fee.
Trell testified Webking, the CFO for AEG, did not ask Michael's Estate for payment of Dr. Murray's salary
"You testified you were somewhat confused (by the inclusion of the $300,000)?", Bina asked Trell as she projected the list, dated July 17, 2009, on a screen for jurors.
"Do you see there's something in parentheses?', Stebbins Bina asked, zooming in to blow up a footnote from AEG CFO Frederick Webking that stated Michael Jackson never signed Murray's contract, so its terms were not enforceable.
"Is Mr. Webking asking the estate to pay?", Stebbins Bina asked Trell. "No", he replied, explaining that upon reflection he believed Mr. Webking was just being 'thorough' by including the $300,000 as a budgeted cost.
"Did Mr. Webking make a mistake as you thought yesterday?",she asked.
"No, he did not", Trell answered
Second report made to the Estate on 9/18/09, there was no amount next to management medical. Stebbins Bina then showed a Sept. 2009 report of This Is It's finances to Michael Jackson's estate. Murray's fee is not listed in that document
Trell went through his job description with AEG. He said he has five lawyers in his department and has worked on thousands of agreements. Trell explained what PMK is -- Person Most Knowledgeable, identified by the company to testify on its behalf. Trell said he didn't know about all the topics he was designated, so he had to do some studying and interviews with people
As to Ortega's contract, Trell said he was aware of a string of emails being at least a part of the original agreement with Kenny.
"When we were done here yesterday, I looked at Kenny Ortega's original agreement," Trell said.
Trell noted he hadn't looked at Ortega's agreement since it was entered into in 2009. Before the afternoon break, Trell and jury were shown Kenny Ortega's tour agreement. It was signed in April 2009. The agreement was three pages of legalese, with several pages of emails attached that confirmed the terms. The first three pages included some paragraphs that described who owned the rights to This Is It content. A large number of emails are part of the agreement as exhibits. Trell said he recalled the emails exchange and admitted again not being proud of forgetting the cover contract portion. Bina showed Ortega's executed contract with everyone's signature on it. Trell said Kenny Ortega was paid after his contract was signed.
Trell, Phillips and Kathy Jorrie were involved in drafting and negotiating the contract with Michael Jackson. For MJ, Trell said Dr. Tohme Tohme and attorneys Dennis Hawk and Peter Lopez represented him. He said there were multiple drafts.
"It's my understanding they were talking to, or at least receiving offers from, a competitive of ours, Live Nation," Trell said.
Trell also said that before signing an agreement with AEG, Jackson had been considering a tour offer from its main competitor, Live Nation.
Bina showed the jury the final tour agreement. Trell said he went to MJ's home at Carolwood to sign it. Upon arrival, Trell said Mr. Jackson got up from where he was seated, and said 'Hi, welcome, I'm Michael." Trell said it was pretty funny, since he was a very distinct person. Trell said they shook hands, he had a good firm handshake and his voice was not what people think
"He popped up, came over, introduced himself, was very cordial, there was a real positive energy, good vibe in the room," Trell said. "He seemed genuinely enthused," Trell added. "He had the contract in front of him, said he read every page, seemed very enthused." Trell said they all signed it and Mr. Jackson was really keen on the 3-D stuff, that he was already down the road in his mind. "I was probably there just a little less than an hour. And that was the only time I met him," Trell recalled.
Bina discussed the contract for the tour agreement:
A first class performance by Artist at each show on each of the approved itineraries. Contract:
Artist shall perform no less than 80 minutes at each show, and the maximum show length for each show shall be 3.5 hours. Artist shall approve a sufficient number of shows on itineraries proposed by promoter or producer as to recoup the advances made.
Trell said compensation was agreed on 90-10 split. Artist received 90% of what's defined contingent compensation.
Trell explained to jury how concerts get paid for. One scenario is artist pays for production up front. A second scenario is that the promoter gives artist an advance, and then they use the money to put together the show. The third option, Trell said, is the artist pays someone like AEG Live to produce and promote the show, with costs to come out of their pay. Trell called the second and third option like an interest-free loan. In Jackson's case, AEG agreed to a 90/10 split of show's proceeds. Jackson would have received the 90% portion, Trell said. Jackson was also on the hook for a 5% production fee
AEG Live was promoter & producer.
"We advanced the money necessary to mount the tour," Trell explained. "It's interest free money".
Trell testified that Jackson's advance, which covered his $100,000-a-month rent on his mansion and a $3-million payment to settle a lawsuit that would free up his performance rights, was considered a loan to be paid back to AEG.
Part of the advance was to pay off the settlement agreement of $3 million in London court. The underlying dispute was that a company owned the rights for Jackson's live performance.
"The rights needed to be freed up," Trell said.
The advances were to be paid back to AEG Live before the split of revenue. Production Advances were capped to $7.5 million. Contract:
Artist was responsible for all the production costs in excess of the cap and had to reimburse promoter.
"Michael Jackson was known to have very elaborate productions," Trell said. "Production values can get significant, for lack of a better word, it really depends on how many bells and whistles they want," Trell said.
Trell said AEG would not advance money without the artist requesting it.
Trell said it's not only typical and customary, but standard and artist needs to secure either non-appearance or cancellation insurance. Their interest in the policy, Trell said, was to cover the advances and production costs incurred with the production of the show.
"If the were no obligations to AEG, the payout would go back to the artist", Trell explained, "It just recoups our loan made to the artist."
Trell was also asked about elements of tour insurance policies and an agreement with former manager Tohme Tohme. Jackson's contract called for him to represent to AEG that he didn't have any health conditions that would keep him from performing.
Contract:
Artistco hereby represents and warrants that artist does not possess any known health conditions, injuries or ailments that would reasonable be expected to interfere with Artist's first class performance at each of the shows during the term
Oh Tohme's $100k per month agreement, Trell was shown a January contract that Jackson signed to pay that amount. However, Trell said Tohme's agreement was predicated on Jackson getting tour cancellation insurance by a certain date. Deadline passed and by that point Tohme was no longer Jackson's manager, so he wasn't entitled to be paid his monthly fee.
January 24, 2009 -- agreement entered with Dr. Tohme Tohme. Trell said Michael was involved and signed this agreement. "This agreement was entered into January 26, Trell testified.
"There are conditions that needed to be met before any payment could be made."
One of the the conditions was placement of non-appearance insurance, Trell said. That placement was done in late April, early May. In May, AEG received letter from MJ saying Tohme didn't rep him anymore.
"No payments were ever made under this agreement," Trell explained.

2024.05.21 14:53 TapeWormPatronus The Summer of the Crab.

Years ago, I ran a campaign with occasional horror undertones. At one point the party have to cross some wetlands, and I wanted to do the good old Tolkien 'Dead Marshes' thing and had the party make perception checks. On a successful role, the sorcerer spotted a pale face briefly peering out at them from under the water, before it disappeared into a deeper area. Now, at this point, the party were pretty low level and the thought of facing anything tougher than a skeleton sent both the players and the PCs into a 40+ minute kerfuffle about how to avoid getting their souls torn out through their butt holes by whatever was "stalking" them. Eventually, the (slightly unhinged) party bard decided to leap at the patch of water to try to trigger the ambush and boldly confronted... a hand-sized hermit crab. It had made its home inside an old mithral faceplate and was just as frightened by the party as they were of it. I originally intended for the faceplate to be a bit of bonus loot (the rest of the helmet was missing, so couldn't be worn, and it wasn't magical - rendering it just a piece of pricey scrap metal), but the party absolutely trauma-bonded with this animal. They started carrying it around, still in its expensive house. They hand fed it. They made sure it had a good supply of clean water. They went to Enormous lengths to protect it from AoEs. If it had stopped there, this would be a totally normal, cute little story about a party mascot animal. Alas, dear reader, it did not stop there. You see, in my pursuit of an immersive game building on the interests of my players, I'd started reading up about pet crab care. I'd learnt that some crabs could be trained. As such, whenever the crab was hungry, it had found that tapping its legs against the side of its jar would get somebody check in on and likely feed it. Cute little bit of NPC characterisation, right? No. The party became obsessed with this. They thought it was trying to communicate (which, to be fair, it kind of was) and devoted a surprising amount of time to trying to figure out the "Code". The players had decided that this crustacean possessed a human-level of intellect and a series of disastrous / statistically unlikely Knowledge and Sense Motive rolls also led the PCs to this conclusion. Perhaps he was a polymorphed Prince, forever tied to the armour he'd worn as a man. Perhaps she was a young druid who had wildshaped and become trapped in her new chitinous form, clinging to a reminder of the face she'd once worn. The mysterious allure of the crab began to fill their every waking moment. Days were spent in libraries, searching for records of lost scions. Careful logs were kept of when the crab tapped and how many legs it used to scratch. Not one single scroll of Speak With Animals was purchased. In time, other concerns that the party had had (such as a cult of skin-wearing shapeshifters, otherwise known as The Plot), fell by the wayside. That crab had a secret and by God the party was going to find it out. Ultimately, I was fine with this. I always feel that a happy party = a happy GM. I began to play up more of the crab's antics, while dropping fewer hooks for the main story. Sure, it was lower stakes than I'd planned for the game, but all of the excited OOC messages about the party's plans to research their pet I'd receive during the week brought a smile to my face. I wish I could give you a banger of a conclusion, with tears and laughter as when the truth was revealed. Unfortunately, though, I had to move houses at the end of the academic year, the game ended and we all gradually fell out of contact. The crab was, on paper, only ever a hungry and confused little animal but it was also so much more. It was a symbol of obsession, of mankind's thirst for the unknown, and of the weirdest and most joyful game I've ever run.
P.S. there absolutely were Bog Body-themed zombies in those wetlands but, after all the crab-centric commotion

2024.05.21 14:50 Zoliv13 [H] Bundle games from Humble/Fanatical/IG [W] Wishlist/Offers (Update 21/05/2024)

Hello,
I'd like some fair exchange for those, i'm willing to put more than one game against a game i really want, depends on the offer. I could accept Paypal, but that's not my goal (just getting games i'd like to play). I might want to keep something in those lists, i also have some other Humble and Fanatical games i'm not sure i'll play, so they might appear one day (could be money for an exchange if you have something from my wishlist, don't hesitate to ask). I'm from Europe, that might matter for Keys or gift links. Also, i have many games now, and a lot to do yet, so i might be very picky, even for games on my wishlist (it's more a list for interesting games, that i might want in an undetermined future if i have time).
(HB Unrevealed Key = i have it still unrevealed, but will provide a key, considering the Humble view on trading games)
For people living in France, i also have some old games in boxes that i can send by post, ask me if interested.

2024.05.21 14:38 CapSuspicious1018 Gluwphy 20w Laser Engraver Review

Welcome to the world of precision and creativity with the Gluwphy 20w Enclosure Laser Engraver. Designed for DIY enthusiasts and beginners alike, this innovative 8-in-1 laser engraver combines safety, speed, and high-tech features to elevate your engraving projects. With its Class 1 laser, integrated smoke filtering system, and user-friendly autofocus, you can effortlessly work on a variety of materials like wood, metal, leather, and glass. The spacious workspace and advanced air assist technology ensure your creations are both intricate and pollutant-free. Experience the future of engraving with unparalleled accuracy and easeā€”make your every project a masterpiece with Gluwphy.

Have You Ever Dreamed of a Safe and Easy-to-Use Laser Engraver?

If youā€™ve been searching for a laser engraver that isnā€™t intimidating and doesnā€™t require you to don a pair of unflattering filter glasses every time you use it, then let me introduce you to the Gluwphy 20w Enclosure Laser Engraver 8-in-1 Class 1 Laser Engraver and Cutter Machine. Trust me; this gadget will change the game for all DIY enthusiasts and beginners alike.

Gluwphyā€™s Mission: Safety First

Gluwphy aims to make laser engraving accessible and safe for everyoneā€”even kids. Unlike other scorching Class IV lasers, the Gluwphy uses a Class 1 laser, which makes it inherently safer. Essentially, this means you can wave goodbye to the pesky filter glasses that other machines require. Safety is further amplified with built-in flame alarms and automatic focus, ensuring ease of use without compromising on security.

Speed Like No Other

On the topic of speed, let's just say Gluwphy laughs in the face of the competition. While many mini-laser engravers max out at 15,000mm/min, our Gluwphy 20w comes in hot with a staggering speed of 24,000mm/min. What does this mean for you? Less waiting around and more time for exploring your creative projects.

Larger Workspace for Bigger Dreams

If you've ever wrestled with a cramped engraving space, you know how limiting it can be. Gluwphy steps in with a generous placement area of 460x450mm and a working surface of 400x295mm. This amplified space eliminates those frustrating constraints, allowing room for creativity with larger materials and less wastage.

Innovative Design That Saves You Space

With its unique lateral light output design, you can finally ditch the clunky, expensive heightening equipment. This design means the laser and claw disk center point are aligned, sparing you the hassle of constant adjustments. Place your material and get to workā€”simple as that.

Precision at Its Best

For anyone keen on precise placements and cuts, Gluwphy has your back. The red cross-positioning system allows you to place materials with pinpoint accuracy, removing the guesswork. Plus, it supports red cross walking borders, ensuring that your work area is precise and controllable.

Clear Air, Clear Mind

A built-in smoke filtering system elegantly handles the usual smoke and dust that can cloud your workspace. This cleaner air not only protects you but also extends the lifespan of the exhaust fan. Coupled with an integrated air pump, it makes sure that your engraving stays sharp, and your vision clear.

Superior Engraving Accuracy

Forget about those fuzzy edges with other machines. The Gluwphy offers an engraving accuracy of 0.08x0.08mm and dynamic accuracy of 0.01mm. This ensures your designs are crisp, clear, and repeatable, leaving you less room for errors.

Versatility that Knows No Bounds

Imagine the possibility of engraving on a variety of materialsā€”from wood panels to stainless steel, and even fabrics. The Gluwphy doesnā€™t limit your creative avenues. A single device that covers a broad spectrum of materials with ease makes it a perfect addition to any DIY enthusiastā€™s toolkit.
Material Types Example Projects
Wood Panels Custom signs, decorative items
Stainless Steel Personalized jewelry, dog tags
Opaque Acrylic Panels Business logos, awards
Fabrics Custom bags, clothing patches
Paper Detailed invitations, scrapbooking
Stones Engraved keepsakes, home dƩcor
Linden Wood (up to 12mm thick) 3D models, art pieces

Peace of Mind with Warranty

One of the best things about Gluwphy is that it comes with a one-year warranty. If you encounter any hiccups along the way, youā€™re covered, making it a risk-free investment.
As you can see, the Gluwphy 20w Enclosure Laser Engraver offers a blend of safety, innovation, and functionality. This isn't just a tool; it's your gateway to endless creative possibilities without the daunting learning curve. Excited to get one? You should be!

Measles survivor becomes vaccine champion
When Barbara Leonhard was just 6 years old, her life took an intense turn as she and two of her siblings contracted measles during one of the most severe outbreaks in history. Like hundreds of thousands of other children in 1958, all three siblings experienced the typical symptoms of measles.
ā€œI remember the red spots and feeling miserable,ā€ Leonhard, a Columbia native, said.
But Leonhardā€™s condition quickly escalated into something far more serious: encephalitis, a dangerous inflammation of the brain.
She suddenly found herself unable to walk.
ā€œI remember being energetic and then suddenly, I couldnā€™t even climb the stairs. My legs gave out when I was sent upstairs to fetch something for my mother,ā€ Leonard said. ā€œIt was terrifying.ā€
Leonhard slipped into a coma that lasted for almost 30 days. During that time, her family was engulfed in several crises. Her father was preoccupied with caring for his own father, who was battling brain cancer, while also attending to his duties as a minister.
Leonhardā€™s mother, with a newborn and two other sick children, was stretched to her limits.
ā€œShe had to manage everything,ā€ Leonhard said. ā€œThere were days I was left under a makeshift tent of blankets with a steamer to help ease my breathing because of the pneumonia risk that comes with measles and encephalitis.ā€
This period was not only a test of physical endurance for Leonhard but also a profound isolation from normal childhood experiences. When she awoke from the coma, the world as she knew it had irrevocably changed. She found herself unable to walk or talk properly, her movements restricted, her speech impaired.
ā€œI was paralyzed. I could hardly talk. All the words I could see in my mind, but they came out like baby talk,ā€ she said.
Doctors informed her parents that she would never walk again. ā€œThey said it right in front of me,ā€ Leonhard said, the memory still vivid.
With a resilience that defied the odds, after she turned 7, Leonhard taught herself to walk again. With no professional rehabilitation available, she began her arduous journey. She used furniture for support, painstakingly moving from one piece to the next, each small shuffle a victory.
Leonhardā€™s struggles made her a committed advocate for public awareness of the risks of measles and the importance of vaccination.
Her recovery is a rare case. Her journey was marked by gradual milestones, yet some limitations have persisted throughout her life.
While she regained the ability to walk, years later she still faces difficulties with activities that require sudden movements or physical agility. ā€œThese kinds of movements are just too difficult for me,ā€ Leonhard said.
The aftermath of encephalitis left a lasting impact on her cognitive functions, particularly affecting her memory and learning capabilities. These challenges cast a long shadow over her school experiences, contributing to a significant lack of confidence.
ā€œI struggled to remember things and I had to work three times harder than everyone else just to keep up,ā€ Leonhard said.
Despite these difficulties, Leonhard found solace and expression in writing poetry, which became a vital outlet for her thoughts and emotions. This creative pursuit not only provided a therapeutic escape but also helped her forge a unique academic and career path.
ā€œIt was how I made sense of my world, the challenges I faced, and it was deeply fulfilling,ā€ she said.
Leonhardā€™s academic path was marked by resilience and success, despite initial doubts about her capabilities. She attended Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, for her undergraduate degree in English language, graduating with honors.
She continued her education in Missouri, earning her masterā€™s degree at MU in English language and linguistics, with honors once again.
ā€œDespite some peopleā€™s doubts, I managed to excel academically, earning honors and disproving the skeptics,ā€ Leonhard said.
In her professional life, Leonhard leveraged her skills and experiences to build a successful career focused on language and education. She was instrumental in developing an English program, which she led for many years, helping countless students from diverse backgrounds to improve their language skills.
ā€œMy career has been about helping others find their voice, much like I had to find mine,ā€ Leonhard said. ā€œEvery student I helped was a reminder of my journey from that hospital bed to where I am now.ā€
Leonhard continues to advocate for public awareness about the risks of measles and the importance of vaccination.
ā€œI write and speak about these issues because I want people to understand the real risks,ā€ Leonhard said. ā€œIf sharing my story can encourage even one person to vaccinate their child, then itā€™s worth it.ā€
In her efforts to spread awareness, Leonhard has published a book titled ā€œThree Penny Memories: A Poetic Memoir,ā€ which interweaves her experiences with encephalitis and her motherā€™s struggle with Alzheimerā€™s disease. The memoir serves as a poignant reminder of the long-term effects of illnesses and the human capacity for resilience and recovery.
In addition to her writing, Leonhard is actively involved in vaccination advocacy through her collaborations with organizations like Encephalitis International based in the U.K. The society reaches a global audience, providing information and support for individuals affected by encephalitis. Leonhard contributes by sharing her story on their platform, participating in events and using social media to raise public awareness about the importance of vaccinations.
Her commitment to this cause is underscored by alarming statistics. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, measles, mumps and rubella vaccination rates in the U.S. have decreased from 95% in the 2019-2020 school year to 93.1% in 2022-2023. This decline has left an additional 250,000 children at risk for measles.
The urgency of Leonhardā€™s message is amplified by the fact that measles can lead to severe complications such as encephalitis, which occurs in as many as three out of every 1,000 children infected by the virus. Among these cases, 10-15% result in death, and 25% suffer permanent neurological damage.
ā€œMany people think that measles is a harmless childhood illness ā€” it is not,ā€ said Ava Easton, chief executive of Encephalitis International. ā€œIn addition to complications that may include long-term vision problems, pneumonia and encephalitis, which may require hospital treatment and lead to long-term disability or death, measles is so contagious that just a single infected person can infect nine people who are unvaccinated or never had the illness. By comparison, someone with COVID-19 may infect up to three other unvaccinated people. It is vital that parents and caregivers seek advice about the MMR vaccine and other routine childhood immunizations not only for the benefit of their own childā€™s health, but for the health of others.ā€
Leonhard emphasized the devastating potential of measles, not just as a childhood illness but as a public health threat capable of causing widespread harm. She says vaccination is essential, not only to protect individual health but also to safeguard communities against preventable diseases. Her work aligns with broader efforts to counteract misinformation and vaccine hesitancy, which have become significant barriers to achieving herd immunity in many areas.
ā€œI cannot stress enough the critical importance of vaccinations,ā€ Leonhard said. ā€œMeasles isnā€™t just a rash and a fever ā€“ it can lead to serious, life-altering conditions like the encephalitis I suffered. We must use our knowledge and tools to protect not just ourselves but also the most vulnerable among us.ā€

Catching up on the Tohoku Times
Finally finding some time after resting to do my writing. The bike shop experience was a little sweaty in the hot weather, and while we were outside working on our bikes, not only did the wife of the mechanic go get us an iced coffee and an ice cream, she later made us care packages with an energy gel and a bunch of electrolyte tablets. Looking inside, it would seem this shop has been the home of a pro-level team for a long time, so I imagine they have a lot of these things on hand, but it was still very nice.
My wheel repair went well, the bumps and wobbles straightening out with the spoke repair. Bryce had them look at his front wheel, which had a different problem. He took a look at it, and after some consideration he said it was a "maintenance challenge" and proceeded to pull out a lot of wrenches. Bryce gleaned that the hub of the wheel needed tightening, and he did not have the correct wrenches to deal with this decidedly north american model. But he did have ones that were close enough and with some effort he managed to make it better to ride. After all was said and done we asked how much for the repairs and he tells us that he's a volunteer for the day, that this is his son's shop and he's just hanging out for the day because it's a holiday! We were flabbergasted but again he would not take any payment. We talked with him a bunch and he told us that he's in his 70's and attributes his good health to his biking, which he proudly states he's been doing for over 60 years now. We said he was an inspiration and said our goodbyes.
We were lucky to get the repairs done so quick, as it gave us just enough time to hit up the aquarium. We needed to ride just 12km to get there, and a nice tunnel took us through a mountain range instead of us having to go over it. I was tired, the stress of the string of repairs really getting to me. But we arrived with an hour and a half til closing and got to see the aquarium which was a big white building tucked up against sea cliffs on the sea of Japan. I felt instantly more at ease, the temperature feeling more moderate by the water, which was calm as the day went on.
The aquarium was lovely, with an obvious focus on jellyfish. I don't usually like aquariums or zoos due to what appears to be inadequate facilities for the inhabitants, but jellyfish in a tank? I don't think jellyfish care, or have the ability to care. This is like having a series of terrariums in my mind, jellyfish are one step above insects in my mind. And jellies they had, loads and loads of jellies, some on the larger side and lots of teeny tiny ones that almost can't be seen at all without magnification. They really do look like little automatons, just wiggling around. The tanks were all very tastefully lit, highlighting UV reactive cells, long streaming tendrils (that I'm sure have a proper name), and rainbow shimmering reflective cells that look deceptively like teeny tiny LEDs on little ridges. The prime attraction was the dream theatre, a dark room with a 5m tall tank circulating with hundreds or thousands of jellies and lit with a dreamy blue and purple light. We saw posters of famous artists performing in front of the jellyfish tank, the theatre being aptly named.
We missed out on the jellyfish ramen noodles, it being a bit too late in the day, but we did get to enjoy the late day views from on top of the aquarium. Why did we ever leave the ocean? Flat roads, sunsets unmarred by dumb terrain, beaches. It's the best. I love beaches. Looking at the map, we'd have to cover 120km to get to Akita to take the ferry to hokkaido, so we decided to cover some ground while we still had light so as to not overload the next day should something happen. On we went. We zoomed past pastel-lit beaches, seeing folks sitting in pairs, waiting for the sunset. We've seen people stop right on highways if they have a good view of the sunset. We had no such time to enjoy it today.
An hour or so later, we covered 20km to Sakata. Bryce wanted fried chicken for dinner, so we went to a takeout place and got way too much chicken for the two of us to eat. It can be hard to tell what you're getting, as one piece of karaage can be anything from a morsel to a meal, in this case we had more of a meal per piece along with rice and cabbage. We got some drinks from a vending machine and ate the food by a river, watching the water go by as the light faded. For once, we couldn't finish all the food, which was a shock. I always finish the food. Good job, random chicken place, you win this round.
I found a big empty looking beach in the middle of nowhere on the map about 10km north of our position, so we prepared to set out for a night ride. Rain was in the forecast for the next morning, which meant we needed a private place that we wouldn't be bothered for an extended time during daylight hours. And we'd need to reduce our kilometers for the next day as we'd probably have to bike some of it in the rain, which sucks. As we were biking through the city, we happened upon a summer festival, people filling the streets. The usual assortment of festival treats didn't steal our attention, but I stopped for a moment to examine a line of white painted ladies in front of a stage that were talking turns talking about something or another. If only we had the time to watch the performance!
We instead used our valuable time biking to a convenience store to one again get water, food, and some canned coffee for the next morning. Always an exciting time. We left the city, things now fully dark. The highway was not the best, lots of cracks and parts filled in with patches, and my focus wasn't the best. Obstructions become much harder to see in the light of a headlight, even harder to see when you have to use the dimmest setting as the headlamp always seems to be close to dying. My body bitched that it was the wrong time of day to be biking, I should already be setting up camp and kicking back, not pressing for an extra 10km.
We did eventually make it to the beach intact, if a bit worn out, rolling down a sandy road until we had to push our bikes over dune-encrusted paths. Nobody here except a handful of night fishers, but they only care about fish. We pushed our bikes along the beach until we found a lonely pair of shelters for picnics and began setting up there. It seemed like a good spot, and we could tie up the tarp for extra rain protection. Giant wind fences on the beach would help with any gusts coming off the sea, but we weren't expecting a lot of wind anyways. Feeling like I'd have extra time in the morning, I got to sleep instead, feeling more tired than ever.
I slept very long, clearly the need for sleep piling up on me. We got to bed a little later than I wanted, but it was indeed raining when I woke in the morning, so I went back to sleep and luckily got a few more hours. We discovered in the morning light that we were not the only ones to think highly of the shelters, with little ants crawling all over the outside of the tent. Not a big deal, but a little unnerving considering we haven't always been perfect about getting the zippers all the way closed. We had some breakfast in bed (which inevitably led to a spilled coffee) and read for a little bit, but debates about getting going started pretty quickly. The rain didn't look like it was going to let up, which meant we were going to have to get going or risk riding at night again.
It was late in the morning when we were ready to go, rain gear donned and our spirits as high as they would be all day. We had 95km to ride, half a day to do it, and we were already soaked. On we went. Rice planting is in full swing now, everywhere we go there's farmers hurredly planting thousands of tiny sprouts in prepared fields. Early on there was a bit of a roadside attraction in the form of a curiously coloured pond, which we dutifully checked out. The pond was indeed a brilliant blue green colour and very clear, like the water of some onsens we've seen. Reading a sign, the pond was the source of the little rivers nearby and the water was extremely cold which kept it from fouling.
As we rode, the mist rising off the hills looked like smoke. We hoped the rain would turn to just mist soon. Wiping my face for the hundredth time, we slowly pedaled on. Rain pants tug on my skin, making knee pain feel more prominent. We bike slower too, I think the water on the road is just harder to bike on. Feels like slow motion compared to fair weather riding. After 30km, I needed to stop and get some real food in me, I found a mandarin restaurant serving spicy ramen, which sounded perfect for a cold, stiff day like this. We left our dripping rain gear outside where it might get slightly dryer simply by gravity, and went in, still sorta dripping anyways.
Inside, the restaurant was filled to the brim with knickknacks and collectables and was bright and cheery despite the weather outside. I found a place to plug in my headlamp and we both ordered big bowls of spicy soup and colas for the sugar and caffeine boost we'd need to keep going. The soup was flavorful and delicious, with a ground pork that was sweet instead of savoury. Last time I made sweet pork it was kinda gross so it was neat to have a sweet pork that wasn't bad. I ate my whole bowl, needing all the calories I could get, and settled down a bit to check the radar for the area.
As can be expected for the coast, the weather was temperamental. It was good we got going, as the section behind us was being hammered, while we could expect a bit of a reprieve from the rain as we moved forward. That was about as good as we could hope for and with the clock striking 2 (and playing a song) in the restaurant, we departed.
The sky brightening a bit from a dreary grey to a less dreary grey, our moods lifted for a while while our jackets dried off in the breeze. The sights were beautiful, in a desolate sort of way. Something about staring off into seemingly infinite ocean is unsettling to me. The evergreens on rocky spits in the ocean reminded us of the west coast trail, a few unbothered sections of coast here and there revealing what this land is supposed to look like under all the concrete pylons and coast management techniques Japan loves.
After an hour, I began having some real issues. My heart rate had spiked, my vision was a little odd, and I was starting to not feel well. Not good. I drank a bunch of water, which helped, but eventually my body decided the spicy ramen was too oily and spicy for my guts and I went to destroy a convenience store. I felt better after, but I really should know better by now. There's so much oil in the cooking here though, it's hard to avoid sometimes.
We kept riding, now with no rain gear and keeping up a respectable pace. We went on a desolate road, giant windmills standing guard on the coast overlooking fields of windburnt trees all bent away from the water. Looks like this coast gets absolutely hammered by the wind, maybe I shouldn't complain too much about the rain if it's not windy as well. Things were looking up, our pace put us on schedule to arrive at 6, well before dark which put us in better spirits. Better spirits until Bryce's tire blew out.
Pulling apart the tire layers, incredulous that the so-called "flatless" tires would fail us now, we found a shard of black glass stabbed straight through the thickest part of the tire and a centimeter into the tube section. Well there's no bike tire on earth that can survive that, that one's just bad luck. We felt a little better about that as we set about replacing it. At least with the new rim Bryce had it was much less of a fight to get the tire on and off to replace the tube. Getting the bead to set was a pain, Bryce cycled the tube pressure three times and we even soaped the edge to get it to budge. It seemed good enough to me, but the rim of the tire definitely seemed a little inconsistent. The rain starting again, we debated what we should do, I argued that if he was careful and avoided bumps the bead might set itself and we didn't have any other techniques we could try. He wasn't able to pull the tire over any more and my hands were too weak to be of much help. We were wet and cold by this point, so Bryce agreed with this and we remounted and got moving. We could always take the train if we had to, but that wasn't an option we wanted to do just yet.
I was in the rear and I could immediately see and hear something was wrong with Bryce's bike, even though I was focused on the tire bead to see if it was setting properly. It looked like his front and back tires were tracking different paths and one or both seemed to be leaning? I know the front tire had a hub issue so I thought maybe they're just a bit off but after a while I called a halt as it looked just too messed up not to try reseating the axle. While we were redoing the rear axle, we discovered that a bolt holding the rear pannier rack was close to coming out altogether, the source of the terrible rattling I've been hearing for weeks now! That was a relief to fix, and the wheel seemed to be sitting better. Now we were quite a bit later, projections looking more like 7 o'clock and getting dark by the time we got to the city.
The sky was getting lighter, but it was the sun starting to sink below the cloud layer, signaling the end of the day and the last of our riding light. I was so tired by this point, bone tired. The rain makes every kilometer feel like two, I was sneezing again, feeling sad. Lots of harsh feelings were welling up, life starting to roar back into focus as all the things I pushed away for the past year demanded answers right now. I tried my best to file away the petitions as I could, but mostly I just tried to keep my head up as my mood sunk lower with the sun. My sinuses decided they'd had enough and shut down, making my head feel like it was a size too big. In the last light of the day we got to Akita, the end of our Tohoku adventure. The kindness of the people we met saved us from finding the whole region cursed.
I demanded burgers and fries to lift my soggy mood, nothing in my tool box keeping me happy. Luckily there was a good looking place near our hotel to try and it was a countertop kinda place. We went in to find a fully charming establishment full of locals and a pair of chefs working the counter. I was feeling just awful but Bryce had a good time interacting with people. Everyone was very curious about the two colourful and very wet foreigners who had wandered in after parking very large and heavy bikes. I joined in on the answers, having the better language skills whenever Bryce couldn't parse what was being asked, but I was more focused on the pile of fries and the chili burger I ordered. People were flabbergasted that we came all the way from the southern end of the country, the chefs assuming we must have come from Tokyo instead. Some of the other patrons started rattling off Canadians they knew, with Justin Bieber ("Justinoo Beeberu!") and Celine Dion topping the list. I ordered a BLT sandwich as I was still starving even after a whole meal. The chef brought over a bottle of nice sake to have as a toast to the brave travellers, which I had to refuse as I would like to recover from this cold sometime this century. There's so much booze that it's hard not to here.
To alleviate the embarrassment of having to refuse the booze, he offered me a ginger ale instead, which I graciously accepted. The other chef laughed as they pulled out a bottle "Canada Dry" she said, to the laughter of the bar. Taste of home in a strange place. I polished off my BLT (and considered a second) and while I'm sure Bryce could have spent all evening taking free shots of excellent sake with the bartender, we had to be up early, so we said our goodbyes and waved as we wheeled our bikes into the dark city. I left in a good mood, but tired as hell. Bryce was positivity beaming from the fun interactions, and the four drinks he had. The hotel was nearby, so it wasn't too hard. A parking attendant ushered us to a spot near the guardhouse, and we locked up there. He asked us when we were thinking of getting the bikes the next day, and when we said 430 in the morning he was a little taken aback. He understood that the ferry was early but that was too early for him.
The hotel room was nice enough, but all I wanted was a bath and sleep. There were bath salts at the front desk and we took turns soaking in the tub. I wasted no time, doing my thing, arranging my clothes for the morning, setting an alarm and going to sleep. 415 would be just around the corner.

2024.05.21 14:20 Frank_Hardcoxxx Videofucks

My phone vibrated. As did my smartwatch. I glimpsed up from my laptop, which was sitting in my lap so I could go over my presentation again. I was in the car, my boss was driving and we were headed to a conference, where both of us were supposed to speak. We were traveling for more than 7 hours now due to numerous traffic jams on our way.
Looking at my watch, I saw, it was the doorbell which caused the vibration. Already distracted from my presentation I pulled out my phone. Opening the doorbell app, I just so see, that my wife asks Becky, our young black dogsitter with her DD boobs into the house. "Curious" I thought, my wife hadn't told me, she wanted to go out that evening. It was a Tuesday, so it was her usual day for her Zumba class, but that would have meant leaving the dogs alone for about 1 and a half hours, so no need for a dogsitter. However, judging from what little I had seen, Becky was wearing an extremely short black latex skirt and a minimalist latex crop top, the full outfit barely covering her tits, ass and pussy. In addition to a black leather collar, it looked like my wife had ordered her in with other stuff in mind than just watching the dogs, even if there was the possibility, Becky's outfit was just due to the 30+ degree heatwave we were having.
A few minutes later, my phone vibrated again. It was a text from my wife. "Heading out to Zumba". She followed it up with a picture of her in her sports dress. Due to the heat she only wore tight short pants, a very tight revealing top and her sports bra. So her petite size combined with her chubby figure and her big tits were easy to spot. "Looking great" I answered. "Have fun, love you". "You have any plans later?" She asked. "No" I answered. "I won't be able to make it to swimming today. I'm not even at the hotel yet. So just dinner with my boss and then I will head for the bed." I replied. "Ok" was the only answer I got.
My boss and I checked into the hotel and found a place to eat, when I got another message from my wife. It was a shower selfie from the gym, showing her having her tits soaped up. I had to make sure, nobody saw my developing boner below a napkin. And this was also unusual, as my wife normally prefers to shower at home. What did she have planned. "Going out?" I asked her. I didn't get an answer for a while. Then I got another selfie. My wife was now wearing a long, tight, black PU skirt, and a black leather corsage, which was barely able to keep her G-Cups inside. She also had makeup on and her black hair with a tint of red worked perfectly with her black lipstick. A second picture showed, that she did not wear panties, but a buttplug. "Gonna surprise Becky" was her answer to my previous question. "Let's check whether she obeyed" was the next text I got, before I had an incoming videocall from the group my wife had created for the three of us. I excused myself from the table and left the table, while keeping the lid of my phone case closed. I took a Bluetooth headset out of my pocket and went outside to take the call. As soon as I did, I had to hold my breath. My wife held up her phone in her car in a way, that Becky and I had perfect view of her cleavage, while Becky was clearly sitting on our terrace, wearing the earlier described outfit, her legs spread apart and her camera clearly showing that she also had inserted a buttplug and additionally a vibrator in her pussy, pleasuring herself. From her position I could see, that there was a very slim, but not zero chance she could be seen by a passing neighbor. "Good girl" I heard my wife's voice. "Expect me home in 20 minutes. Keep going with the vibrator but do not come before I'm home or you will regret it". "Yes Madam" was Becky's answer. "Now put on a show for my husband" my wife again commanded. I watched the vibrator going in and out her pink pussy, which contrasted nicely with her chocolate skin, before commanding her, to take down her top, revealing her double D's to the camera (and potentially the neighbors). She was hesitant at first. "I will tell my wife of your disobedience" was all I had to say. However, as much as I loved the show, I could not watch it till the end, as my boss now also came out of the restaurant, having paid the bill. So I cut the connection and we went on our way to the hotel.
When we arrived at the hotel, my boss asked, whether we wanted to go for a drink at the bar. At the same time, my wife had already sent me a selfie with our car on the garage and her playing on her pussy, presumably watching Becky somehow. "Are you ready to watch" was the caption. So I thanked my boss again for the dinner and excused myself to my hotel room. "Give me a couple of minutes" was my answer to my wife. "Hurry up" she wrote, accompanied by a picture below her skirt, showing her pink pussy and her fluids already flowing down her legs. I quickly setup my tablet and connected it to the WIFI. While I was doing this I received several messages from my wife. The first one was a picture, showing a top view into her corsage, showing clearly, that it was unable to really tame her tits, with her areolas already visible. If a neighbor saw her on the way from the car to the house, he would have quite a look. I was secretly hoping for that to happen. I know some of the neighbors had already checked out Becky or other visitors to our house when they arrived in playtime "clothes" but my wife so far had mostly gone unnoticed by the neighbors. The second picture was a screenshot from one of our bedroom cameras on my wife's phone, showing Becky, lying on her back, her tits once again hidden by her latex top, her legs spread wide open towards the camera. Her skirt had moved upwards and was lying on her hips. The buttplug was replaced by a vibrator, and she also had a vibrator inserted into her pussy. I admired once again the contrast of her pink flesh to the dark chocolate color of her body. "I have the remotes" my wife wrote with a winking emoji. "Hurry up, I'm horny". "Me too" I thought, "and it's not helping that you send me these pictures". Finally I had an internet connection ready and connected onto our home VPN to access the cameras. "I'm in" I wrote to my wife. "Going in" was her answer.
While I waited for my wife to appear, I watched Becky on the tablet. She was still pretty much in the same pose as before and I could only imagine, that she was in this pose, because my wife had ordered her so. She really loved to submit herself to both of us, what made the evenings with her fun. Suddenly I could see her shiver and heard hear moans getting louder. I could see her fighting, but ultimately losing the fight against her orgasm, induced by the two vibrators in her pussy and ass, controlled by my wife. Only a few seconds later I hear high heels coming up the stairs and my wife entering the room. She had added black, knee high leather boots to her already seducing outfit and held a small whip in her hand. I saw Becky's eyes widen, it was a mixture of lust and fear. "You know you can tell me to stop at any time if it is too much," my wife said ."It is fine, I dreamed about playing with a whip, just haven't done it yet. But please be gentle, "was Becky's answer. "Did I stutter, when I told you not to come?" My wife now said in a fake angry voice. She followed it up with a lash onto her top and the boob below. I could hear the sound and I saw Becky flinch for a split-second. But her eyes told, that she was okay with what happened. "Sorry Madam. It was just to much pleasure you gave me with the vibrators," Becky whispered. "So now this is my fault you cannot control yourself?" My wife asked while still faking anger, followed by a lash onto the other boob. "No Madam, I did not obey your orders. What can I do to make it up?" "That will be up to me, I already have some ideas." My wife said to her, while she positioned a few whiplashes around Becky's pussy. You could already see the mixture of pain and lust in Becky's eyes.
From the messages before, and the show I got on camera my cock was already more than rock hard and I hurried to get rid off my pants and boxers, to release the pain this was causing me. That was when I realized, the blinds were still open, so I corrected this mistake quickly. No need to be seen masturbating in a conference hotel.
On my screen the action now got more intense. "Why are you still dressed?" My wife asked. I laughed out, because the short top and the extremely short skirt that was already hanging on Becky's hips could barely be counted as dressed, as she didn't even wear any underwear. "Get these skimpy clothes of your body" was the next command. To reinforce this statement two whiplashes onto each boob were added. Becky quickly got up, robbing me of the view between her legs and wanted to pull her top over her head, her back to my wife and the camera. She was interrupted by a whiplash onto her ass, as the skirt still was hanging on her hips. This time my wife seemingly had put more force into it, as for a short time you could see the impact on Becky's chocolate skin. "No need to hide. Make it a show for me and the camera". Becky obeyed. She turned around and started pulling up her top above her DD tits, covering them with her hands, playing a little bit by pushing them left right and up and down before performing a boob drop and finally pushing her top over her head. She let it turn around one of her fingers before throwing it on the general direction of my wife. While her boobs are a lot smaller than my wife's G-Cups, due to her taller but skinnier stature and chocolate color, those were my second favorite boobs. Her areolas were forward facing and she had quite a gap in between them. And they looked incredibly sexy in the current lighting, bouncing with every of Becky's movements. My wife nodded approvingly. Afterwards Becky started pulling down her skirt while moving laszivly. Her boobs and her hips moving while she slowly hid her pussy before revealing it again. She got down on her knees, spreading her legs for my wife and me before she got out of the skirt, pushed it aside and got up again. Unfortunately for her, the vibrator fell out of her pussy during this movement. A second later she got another whiplash on her pussy. "Did I tell you to loose the vibrator?" My wife said in a harsh voice. "No Madam." Becky said, lowering her head. "Well, then pick it up and put it where it belongs again. Becky started bending her knees and lowering her back, when she was once again interrupted by a whiplash targeted at her right tit. "Not like that. Turn around and bend over, we want to see your ass." I think I caught a short grin on Becky's face. She definitely did not mind what my wife did to her. She turned around, spread her legs so I would be able to see her face and upper body between them, bent over, wiggled with her ass, which of course also caused her tits to wiggle in front of her face. This of course also revealed the vibrator in her butt. Just when Becky had her fingers on the vibrator on the floor I could hear her moan and saw her legs shaking. My wife now stood besides her, facing the camera holding the remote in the hand that did not hold the whip. With shaking hands from arousal Becky tried to take up the vibrator again, and just when her fingers were there, my wife increased the intensity with the remote again, leading to Becky losing control and collapsing on the floor. As soon as her body hit the floor another whiplash hit her ass. "Am I talking incomprehensibly? You are not to come without my permission and you are asked to get this vibrator into your worthless pussy while showing your fucking ass. What is so hard about that?" While talking, my wife added additional whiplashes onto her ass with a couple of them also hitting the pussy area. "I'm sick of this, now get your worthless body onto the bed and open your legs to the camera". "Yes Madam" was the only answer from Becky. When she got up I glimpsed a look in her face and saw it was pure lust, despite the pain.
Up until now I had started playing with myself. The view and sound on my tablet were just to arousing. I realized, that I was already close to cumming, but there would be more action for me to watch. Nevertheless I couldn't stop, and a few quick strokes and I came in 3 high squirts over my upper body. In the meanwhile the action on the screen continued.
As ordered, Becky lay down as she had been before only now her tits were also clearly visible on camera. My wife bent down herself, making sure I got a good show and picked up the vibrator Becky had failed to pick up twice. She shoved it into Becky's pussy again, before she used the remote again to set both vibrators in Becky's ass an pussy to their lowest setting again. Becky's pelvis moved, as the overstimulation was to much again. My wife once again addressed her: "This should be about me, not you! Time you put your body to some use. Now get me out of my skirt." She ordered, standing next to the bed, with her ass to the camera. Becky sat up, her open pussy still facing the camera and giving me a prime look at her tits. She undid my wife's belt and started pulling down the skirt. My wife supported this with very erotic moves and just a few seconds later I had the perfect view onto the greatest ass in the galaxy. The right roundness, perfect size, perfect shape and feel and just overall perfect for me. My wife pushed Becky back onto the bed, while at the same time bending over, revealing the buttplug and vibrator she had in herself. This movement was also to much for her corsage and her tits fell out. "Make yourself useful and suck on my tits!" was her next command, to which Becky promptly obeyed while my wife made quite a show out of removing the vibrator from her pussy. She spread her legs, shaking that great ass and slowly pulled out the vibrator millimeter by millimeter and pushing it in 5 millimeters in again for every 10 millimeters she had pulled it out. When she was done, she climbed onto the bed sat up and pushed Becky's upper body down. She then climbed over Becky's face and began riding on her face. Becky understood what to do and gave her best to luck my wife's pussy. My wife's boobs jumped around on her chest, which made her abandon her whip and she started massaging and playing with them, while leaning slightly backwards. This gave me a great view and made me hard again in an instant. Also due to my wife's movements on the bed, Becky's tits started to wiggle, but she needed her hands to ensure my wife's thighs had sufficient space in between for her not to suffocate. This got more and more difficult, as my wife quickly approached her orgasm. It took her less than 2 minutes before she collapsed forward, her face more or less falling onto Becky's pussy. My wife catched her breath for half a minute or so, before she pulled herself up again, grabbed her whip and climbed down from Becky. Becky's face was covered in my wife's fluids, it almost looked like my wife had squirted onto Becky's face. Becky also sat up and catched her breath.
My wife held up Becky's face by placing her whip below her chin. "Good girl, seems like you are good for something. I think you have earned some reward." She said and gave Becky two gentle whiplashes onto her nipples, which made Becky moan again. My wife bent down beside the bed, showing me her great ass with the buttplug again and opened our toy drawer. She grabbed a blindfold and tossed it to Becky. "Put that on, and get on your knees, face to the camera." Becky went on her knees and elbows, what resulted in a harsh whiplash on her ass. "On your hands, not your elbows" and as Becky took to long for her liking, a second whiplash followed. Now Becky obeyed and stayed more upright. Next my wife went, and repositioned the camera, so now the camera was low enough to look between Becky's legs. Next, my wife pulls out a dual vibrator we had bought recently. She inserted the short part as advertised into her vagina and went behind Becky. She then removed the vibrators from Becky's pussy and ass and slowly started to insert the long part of the double vibrator into Becky's pussy. I was able to see Becky's surprised look through the blindfold, as my wife's pelvis touched Becky's ass and she realized, what was happening. The next surprise came, when my wife activated the vibrations and started fucking her Doggystyle. I was almost in heaven. Seeing a pair of DD tits bouncing in the big picture, and my wife's G-Cups also bouncing in the background while my wife grabbed Becky by the hips and gave her a pounding was an absolutely fantastic view. This went on for about 10 minutes, with me wanking of in my hotel bed, my wife pounding the dogsitter Doggystyle and the dogsitter moaning loudly. It seemed, the double vibrator had some kind of burst mode, as both women increased and decreased their volume in regular intervals. After 10 minutes the two women collapsed over each other from their orgasm and I also came again.
After everyone had catched their breath again, my wife told Becky she could go home now, she would still make the last train even with some time to wash herself. After Becky was gone, my wife and myself had video call under our showers. After that we said goodnight. My wife told me, to have fun on the conference reception the next day, but to not forget my camera...

2024.05.21 14:18 jmj_daytrader Nvidia, Nvidia and Nvidia. 5.21.24 Premarket outlook and Technical Analysis for day trading the SPY.

This week the focus is on Nvidia and its earnings report on 5/22/24 after market close. This is the single biggest source of volatility in the tape this week. Today will likely be a bearish range day as everyone awaits the outlook from Nvidia. This will prompt me to do a full work up on Nvidia tomorrow. Today and tomorrow look for the market to coil tight compressing its energy for a big move after the report hits. Remember the important levels for the week are holding 5317 to continue to grind up, stay below 5349 to crush momentum out of the 4hr chart which will prepare for a low and breaking above 5380 which could be a blowoff top type event.

2024.05.21 14:13 Alternative-Today160 Three areas of concern, mainly around finger/toe nails. Looking for definitions and advice!

27 M, experiencing very strange skin issues. I dont work in a career that involved damaging machines or being out in nature. These conditions haven't changed for a while, but become worse in recent days.
1:Red area under fingernail on the rigjt index finger, and brown cover underneath skin when cut or peeled away. Annoying normally, but extremely painful if touched. Feels inflamed or otherwise swollen.
2: Small clump that frequently reforms on my left index finger. Mildly annoying and itchy, bit painful if touched or pressed.
3: I believe this is partially a hangnail on the right big toe, but don't know. It varies in size and pain, and is frequently painful. Nail seems to have another nail beneath if, though this is not particularly bothersome.
Any advice on how to heal these problems - or what exactly they are- would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

2024.05.21 13:22 Frequent-Telephone77 4 Important Trends In Blue Ocean Marketing Strategy

Can you imagine life on planet Earth without YouTube, X, Facebook, and smartphones? No, right?
Although these technologies have recently come into the BIG picture, the world in the past couple of decades has significantly changed by them. These new changes shifted us from 'like we used to live' to 'living in the connected world'.
In the world, where organizations operate in the private section, there is a public section and the non-profit sector. These areas are growing and the challenge is to come up with strategies that can drive the firms forward. There is a rising need in every organization for a blue ocean marketing strategy.
In other words, there is a challenge of 'value innovation'. And, blue ocean marketing strategy is the solution.
Here are 4 key trends that you'd like to know, as it happens around us.
Trend #1: Demand For Creative New Solutions
Strategies that worked a couple of years ago are obsolete in today's fast-paced world. Just look at the broad swath of industries that have recently surfaced. In the last couple of years, these industries have been seriously called to task out what once thought was impossible.
They had hardly any time in their hand to strategies to stay relevant and to achieve innovative value at lower costs.
One of the examples is healthcare. Its cost has risen more than 60% in the last decade.
Trend 2: Influencer Economy and Social 'Power Users'
Is it hard to believe that there are more successful people now than ever in the history? But only ten years back, it would still be unbelievable. The surge in social sites, vlogs, blogs, micro-blogs, etc. has become so common that it has shifted the power and credibility of voice from BIG GIANTS to you and me aka ordinary individuals.
Today everyone has access to broadcast their opinion and connect with an infinite number of people. Only Facebook has more than 1.4 billion users to connect and share your story in between groups that are safe and authentic. Around a decade ago, Facebook was just not as popular as now. Take Twitter, I mean X, it has changed so much. Thanks to Elon.
To be a winner, you have to learn from the winner of the new reality. It doesn't mean that you have to get it all at once. A premium offer for your audience should be a good start. That's what gets people calling you to listen to your offering. You can also leverage social media to do it.
Trend #3: Locational Shift In Future Demand & GROWTH PERSPECTIVE
There is a reason why America, Europe, and Japan are taking a backseat when it comes to being the largest economy. Don't get me wrong, America is still the number #1, but China has jumped from tenth to second-largest economy in the world. And, India too has joined the list of the top 10 largest economies in the world.
However, please note that these are two categories of big emerging markets. The previous one had a relatively high per capita income. The new one is still developing. This makes it important for organizations to offer an affordable cost. It's a more critical factor now than ever before! Without this, you as a small business or brand won't be able to unlock the full potential of the demand.
But not to be fooled. Low cost alone isn't just the key factor. These new big emerging markets have a large population and access to the internet, mobile phones, and other tech that raise their sophistication, demand, and desires. So, to capture these savvy customers' heads, hearts, and habits.
Trend $4: The Easiness Of Becoming A Global Player
Lastly, on the scale of a hundred years, the major players came from America, Europe, and Japan. But now this is changing at a remarkable speed. Over the last decade, the number of GIANT from China in the Fortune Global 500 has risen 20x, from India it's 8x, and there is 2x the number of Latin American companies.
This means that these big emerging markets will not only represent oceans of new demand but also represent oceans of new potential competitors with ambitions to touch the sky and go beyond.
The companies from their big emerging markets are just the tip of the iceberg. In the last decade, there has been a paradigm shift in the cost and ease of becoming a global player, no matter where you are from!
With hundreds of websites being created every single minute, any organization can no longer afford to downplay this trend. Today people from anywhere can raise funding, and make a website, and connect with millions of users.
Then there are search engines - aka global business directories and more - that are free. As from a confession of an advertiser, today you can market your offering for free, or with a low entry cost you can become a global player. While, of course, these trends aren't just the passcode to crack the code of becoming a global player. They can certainly intensify global competition. To stand out from the crowd you'd still need to be creative through value innovation.
Today, the challenges and opportunities we are facing are fascinating. These four trends may help you create blue oceans - because it's not just for business - it's for arts, non-profits, public sectors, and even brands.

2024.05.21 13:17 Double_Demand3742 Lost Fitbit 5 (Gold) at Woodbine Beach

I lost my gold-colored Fitbit 5 with the original white plastic strap (size small) before noon yesterday (May 20 - Victoria Day) while swimming on the far west side of the beach, within the red fence area where the fireworks took place. We were evacuated by 8pm for the show. It has great sentimental value as my dad gave it to me. Please help me find it! Thank you!

After the ceremony Luigi and Amaya grabbed their plates and settled with the bride and groom at the main table.
Luigi had briefly introduced her when they arrived, but the meal would be a great chance for his folks and her to get to know each other better. Heā€™d been worried about how restive Amaya had seemed during the ceremony, but her signature quirky good cheer was back on display during dinner.
As his date congratulated Peachy and Valentina and filled them in on her own studies at Foxbury with charm and tact, Luigi relaxed and nodded to his Great Grandpa Chance who was seated with Candor and Bianca across the room. Chance had told him that the couple anticipated passing on within a few days, and it looked like he was taking this opportunity to say his farewells. He and his ex seemed relaxed and content from where Luigi sat.

After the cake was cut Luigi headed into the ballroom to mix-up glasses of the ā€œsecond chancesā€ cocktail heā€™d created for the event to go with dessert.
Guests came and went, grabbing a glass and heading back to the dining area to enjoy Peachyā€™s latest gourmet confection, but Kassandra's husband Leroy was apparently uninterested in cake. It seemed he intended to take full advantage of the open bar instead.
Great-Grandpa Vlad, also famously more into ā€œdrinksā€ than cake, was passing by and took the open seat next to the pair. He greeted Leroy with a sharp smile and made sure he knew that the ā€œfine young manā€ serving that delicious juice was Peachy and Jackā€™s ā€œlittle boyā€.
https://preview.redd.it/wsluspwjhr1d1.png?width=1208&format=png&auto=webp&s=24f70e05d6f0036f1a6a0cee8e61308d62f8ad70

At confirmation of what heā€™d suspected, Leroy's jovial expression turned into a sneer. Giving his bartender a dirty look, the juiced elder fired off ā€œah, so youā€™re the love child of the groom and that dirty partner of his".
Any negative commentary on his papa was like waving a red flag in front of a bull and Luigi quickly fired back ā€œMy Papa Jack was NEVER "dirty".ā€
https://preview.redd.it/le3ik7fmhr1d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=99b317b041af3be99f03a8314890dedd17b33c08

Leroy gave a drunken bray of laughter, slurring out ā€œboy, you clearly donā€™t know the half of it. After I drove that wannabe homewrecker Peachy away from my girl, his beardy boy tried to threaten me in my own home. He really never told you that he got fired for harassing me while on duty?ā€
The elderly scoundrel thought for a second and then pushed his now empty glass across the bar for a refill. ā€œI guess I wouldnā€™t admit that either.ā€
Luigi was dumbfounded. His dads had never shared the details of their past with Valentinaā€™s twin and her husband. Theyā€™d always considered Nancy Landgraab to be the mastermind behind Jackā€™s work trouble. The smug leer on the drunkā€™s face infuriated the already angry Luigi even more. Leaving the glass untouched on the bar, he stepped around to roughly snatch Leroy off his barstool instead.
https://preview.redd.it/hyj0of5whr1d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=601665ce6bdb200623a05a2f1f3426971bef68b3

Mindful of the celebration still going on just a few feet away Luigi kept his voice low as he angrily proclaimed ā€œPapa Jack was a great sim, clearly head and shoulders above a scumbag like you. If he took the time to warn you away from Dad, you should have listened better and not come here.ā€
Leroy's expression hardened before morphing itself into a nasty smile. He announced to the eagerly onlooking Vlad: ā€œthis one has some fire in himā€ before telling Luigi ā€œwell boy, if you want to take this outside, Iā€™m more than happy to give you a chance to defend your precious papa's honor. Otherwise, you need to shut up and get back to serving me another one of those fine drinks ā€“ it is a party after all.ā€
https://preview.redd.it/t4qjp6ezhr1d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ed987e897ded4abaf4b60cfc0b7e11ff1278e0c

The voice of reason urging Luigi not to fight his elder step-uncle at his father's wedding was entirely drowned out by a burning rage that demanded he show the no-good lowlife in front of him the consequences of insulting his family.
Jerking his head towards the door leading to the front of the property the angry young man made his way outside, Leroy hot on his heels.
Rather than following, the subtle instigator of the spat took to his bat form and soared into the dining room. Once heā€™d caught the eye of the bride and groom, he flew in front of the large picture windows facing the lawn, where their sonā€™s contribution to the evening's entertainment was on fine display.

2024.05.21 13:02 AdComfortable5453 Suncream for rosacea/spot prone/allergic skin/dermatitis

Hi all, Looking for both face and body suggestions for sunscreen -UK.
I'm 49 and have always had sensitive skin but it's got worse the last couple of years (along with getting food allergies to almonds and wheat and rice) and I seem to have now developed perhaps a sun allergy? Ie I get red itchy blotches/rash on my chest and neck and arms when I wear sunscreen and it looks awful. But just generally my chest area is always blotchy from normal products (even natural ones) and I get lots of large bumps (not spots)as well if I put anything oily on at all but my skin there looks dry if I don't moisturise it So...
BODY sunscreen - I've tried a few in the part including:-
No7 soltan sensitive (itchy) Tropic (brings me out in hives šŸ˜ ) Green People (horrible to put on and leaves skin dry and white cast) Bondi sands hydra (itchy) Piz buin sensitive
Currently trying Emotopic but that takes an age to rub in and it's a small tube so the jury is still out on this one.
I was looking at the eucerin one. Im pretty sure I've had it before but there is a gel cream which I don't think I've tried but some people say it stings as it's got alcohol in??
FACE - (need something suitable for rosacea and for spot prone skin) no almonds/rice or wheat in.
I do use the rodalique one for rosacea which is lovely and doesn't give me spots but it's tinted and sometimes I just want a plain one to top up at home so I don't get super orange from multiple layers šŸ˜‚ (it's anti redness).
Tried KALM but that's too orange for me and again, tinted.
Just bought the new boots no 7 future renew defence shield but omg, I get so many spots from it šŸ˜ so now cannot use it.
Thank you so much šŸ¤žšŸ¤ž

2024.05.21 13:02 Spike_78822 Mace Windu: Formicidae Face-off

Mace Windu: Formicidae Face-Off

In the distant reaches of the galaxy, the planet Arthron Prime lay hidden within the Veiled Nebula. Arthron Prime was a lush, green world teeming with strange and unique wildlife, including the formidable Formicidaeā€”giant, intelligent ants that ruled the forested regions.
The Galactic Republic had recently established an outpost on Arthron Prime to study its diverse ecosystems and extract valuable resources. However, this attracted the attention of the Separatists, who saw an opportunity to disrupt the Republic's plans and gain control of the planet's resources.
One fateful day, a detachment of the 187th Legion, led by the esteemed Jedi Master Mace Windu, was dispatched to reinforce the Republic outpost. The mission was to protect the scientists and secure the area from any potential threats. Little did they know, danger lurked in the dense forests.
As Mace Windu and his troopers patrolled the perimeter, they were ambushed by a swarm of Formicidae, led by a massive, alpha ant. The creature's mandibles clamped around the throat of a 187th Clone Trooper, rendering him helpless. The trooper struggled in vain as the ant's powerful grip tightened.
Without hesitation, Mace Windu ignited his purple lightsaber and leapt into action. With a forceful slash, he severed the ant's mandibles, freeing the trooper. The Formicidae, undeterred, turned its attention to Windu, its multifaceted eyes glinting with fury.
Mace Windu's movements were a blur of precision and power as he engaged the ant in a fierce duel. The surrounding troopers provided cover fire, but the battle was primarily between the Jedi and the beast. The alpha ant's size and strength were formidable, but Windu's mastery of Vaapad allowed him to channel the creature's aggression against it.
With a final, decisive strike, Mace Windu drove his lightsaber through the ant's exoskeleton, bringing the beast down. The remaining Formicidae retreated into the forest, their leader vanquished.
As the dust settled, the 187th Legion regrouped. Mace Windu approached the trooper who had been attacked and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You're safe now," he said, his calm voice a stark contrast to the intensity of the battle moments before.
The victory on Arthron Prime was a testament to the bravery and skill of the 187th Legion and their Jedi leader. With the immediate threat neutralized, the Republic could continue their mission on the planet, ensuring the secrets of Arthron Prime were safeguarded from the clutches of the Separatists.
