Inside Out 2

The sequel to Inside Out (2015), the film is directed by Kelsey Mann (in his feature directorial debut) and written by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein. It stars the voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan, Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser, and Kensington Tallman. The film focuses on Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who are astonished when new emotions are introduced in Riley's mind.
Now that you've met this week's new release. Let's look at some pros and cons.

PROS

• Inside Out is one of Pixar's most beloved films from the 2010s onward, so there's already a built-in audience for the film.
  
• Despite having to compete with Minions a few weeks later, the film earned a massive $858 million worldwide. As previously said, it already has a huge built-in audience.
  
• The trailers and synopsis have offered a pretty intriguing look at the sequel: Riley growing up, and the addition of new emotions. So the film can avoid feeling repetitive compared to the original.
  
• Its sole animated competition by the time it hits theaters is The Garfield Movie, which will be 3 weeks old by that point. Considering the audience's familiarity with the film, there's a chance audiences prioritize Inside Out 2 over Garfield.
  
• It's just one day, but so far, the pre-sales look incredibly good.
  

CONS

• Pixar and Disney have had an... underwhelming run ever since they returned to theaters in 2021. Pixar had a huge bomb with Lightyear, and while Elemental had great legs, it barely broke even at best. Disney, meanwhile, had it worse: Encanto underwhelmed at the box office before blowing up on streaming, Strange World was one of the biggest bombs in history, and Wish was another colossal bomb. Inside Out 2 won't fare this badly, but it's a sign that their brands have taken a dive in the past years.
  
• The original's director and writer Pete Docter is not back in his roles. While it's unlikely audiences pay much attention to who is involved on an animated film, Docter's involvement in these two roles is usually a sign of guaranteed quality (Monsters, Inc., Up, Inside Out and Soul). His only involvement was that the film would use his "five to 27 emotions" idea.
  
• The film will face Despicable Me 4 three weeks later, which could eat into its family demographic.

Hello,
Hope you all are doing well, and having a great 2024.
I currently have a 4,1 MP flashed to Mojave, with RX 580 8GB, 2 1TB SSDs (Mojave, BootCamp W10), 16 GB RAM.
I am trying to get more into 3D rendering as well as AR development and contemplating the three (3) choices in title. I also do programming tutorials and other hobbyist things to stay up to date with my skillset.
Price wise ~$600 is my budget, looking at various offers I am torn between:

• 6,1 with d700 12 core, then upgrade later as needed. I love the display capabilities and Xeon processing which I believe BootCamp still is supported too.
  
• M2 Mac Mini with 8/10/512. Love the energy reduction, processing wise completely wipes my MP away.
  
• NVIDIA GPU, instead of buying a whole new machine, just invest in a GPU for my current Mac and try to squeeze more life out of it. CUDA support for ML/AI, Blender, make it ideal compared to the RX 580, which seems like everyone on this forum has - hahaha.
  

So in your opinion(s) what is the more ideal buy for my needs? I have used the search function, and it seems like everyone (or perhaps botted sentiment accounts) say forget old hardware and jump to new one. I do not like the limitations which Apple embedded everything into their chipsets, though ARM (RISC) is vastly superior compared to Intel's x86 (CISC) in terms of compute.
I kind of have my mind made up, but want final thoughts before I spend this high amount of money.
Side-question: For my current 4,1 what have y'all done with your not used anymore? I was thinking about doing crypto mining, or server via plex/security system, but would like other ideas as well. Lugging it around, due to moving from place to place, just is wearing me down at this point.

Capture One 23 won't open on my Mac. Chat bot tells me to deactive account from my online profile but there's no option to do that there. Where do I go for help? Or do I return to Lightroom?

To help you improve and ease your time - so you can focus on killing zombies - I will share more tips on what to do and not to do in the unforgiving setting of World War Z.
♥ The importance of sound - sound is initially going to be your worst enemy. There's a reason survivors whisper to each other to stay low, keep quiet, use silencers if you have them, etc. - breaking the silence will alert swarms to your position. It is generally never a good idea to go loud in stealth sections of a mission. Especially if you're new to the game, players tend to panic and run around and away. Stealth is an essential skill, make sure to master it. And always take your time and play tactically. Drop all local tangos first, and make sure not use loud weapons (flare gun, crossbow, Thumper, certain abilities, any explosives, and any gun that's below lvl 5 - because that's when the silencer unlocks). Do not rush - there is no time limit, so take your time, be patient and move silently.
♥ Use the Stationary Machinegun and Mortar - especially when other players join your lobby. AI Bots have often very sluggish response time and will not watch your back, so when playing solo, you will often have few seconds window during which you can use these. With other players, though, it's best if one gets behind the 50cal or Mortar, and the other watches their back. Both of these defence kits can kill a lot of zombies before you start wasting your own ammo supply, and both are excellent at clearing objectives and keeping hordes at bay for the necessary amount of time.
♥ ALWAYS use ranged weapons first and keep your distance from any and all Zeke as much as you can. There is a pretty sizeable arsenal of guns available to players, and they are, surprise surprise, great at killing zombies! So why not use guns in the first place? Keep your distance, especially from objectives (and moving objectives), and shoot. Knowing where your teammates are at all times also helps prevent friendly fire. Find yourself a comfy spot, stand your ground and pull the trigger.
♥ Melee combat - It's important to know when to engage in it. Mindlessly slashing at every single Zeke will wear you out, and you'll end up tired and surrounded. Or, you'll find yourself in the middle of a swarm that other players are shooting at, and because bullets don't discriminate, you will get shot too. Possibly killed by friendly fire (this is very true for beginner and amateur slashers - just because the class is called slasher doesn't mean it's all it does or should be doing). You should only use melee attack when trying to get a breathing room - to push back attackers, so you can reload your gun if needed, and finish them off with it. Look at the previous point and think about it - in a game that revolves heavily around guns, the amount of times you have to resort to melee kills indicates the amount of times you were in trouble. If you keep your distance (even as a slasher, shocking, I know), you will not get shot at by your teammates at all, and you won't expose yourself to danger.
♥ Friendly Fire (FF) happens. At least once every mission, someone gets bitten in the butt by a bullet. How do we prevent that from happening? Awareness, distance and formation. If you know where your teammates are at all times, if you keep distance from each other (even like 2m from each other, just enough so you know where they are and can react to whatever they'll do next), and if you don't break formation, congratulations! You have successfully eliminated or at least substantially lowered the risk of Friendly Fire! Don't move directly behind or in front of someone, don't stand in the way of defenses (in front of a barrel of a stationary gun, where claymores are, at the fence that's about to get swarmed and targetted by other teammates...), and stop strafing from side to side. Zombies won't fire back at you. Fun fact; You can use just your upper body to aim.
♥ Move and act as a team. This is a co-op game (a fact many are oblivious of) - if you work together, anything is possible. If you're an action hero type of person, your teammates are probably not going to like you, and you will find fewer lobbies, most likely with similar Johns MacClanes in them. When the teammate in front of you stops, stop. When they move silently, you move silently. When your team gets jumped by a swarm, stand your ground and fight. When it's time to explore, explore in pairs. Share all the items you find, nothing has your name written on it, so please, don't act like it does. This is a silly way of telling everyone you're an only child.
♥ Ignore the score boards - most of the statistics there don't matter, especially the kill count. The only stats that are somewhat interesting and/or important are helping hand (shows how much you care about others), survivalist (how much damage you took - the less, the better) and head hunter (headshot count, challenge yourself to get at least 120 or more on every mission). There is no special reward or medal for killing more zombies than others, in fact, there is no reward at all apart from successfully completing a mission. So stop chasing every single kill. Killing more zombies doesn't make you a better team member. Read the previous point, if this confuses you.

Watch the bot owners whine in the comments pretending to be concerned real players. "But this will be bad for runescape's health, it'll deter new players :((". What % or new players pay for membership with bonds - the answer is probably close to 0, unless they have friends in game. You know what's bad for runescape? 25%+ of the playerbase being bots

When I was a kid I got into some issues with a local cop. Long story short the cop are corrupt, he let me go on the condition of never seeing me again.
A random person found out, since I was in a location very close to the border of China. She assumed I was a escapee. She threatened to snitch on me if I don't work for her.
I refused knowing full well it won't be an issue if she ever notify the police. She thought she got a leash on me, because she assume an "escapee" won't have enough knowledge to defend themselves.
Her threatened to notify the police if I don't give up my phone. Her reason is that escapees doesn't deserve to have a phone, an extension of a person identity.
She does not think that a person that entered a country illegally deserves to have a phone.
My limited time spent with her got me gathered enough information on what kind of operation she is running.

1. She is not a local
2. She has relatives that worked/working in a tech industry

She knows each phone has a Mac address tied to it to notify a site that it is a distinctive individual visiting the site.
She needed enough addresses to create a bot to hide her identity, she belived companies will give out free deals to people from time to time. And she is trying to profit off those deals.
She been targeting people that has phone and overstayed their visit.
Apparently, she has permission to do so from a local cop. If the condition were right, they must overstayed their visit.
But knowing full well she is not following these rules, since I fell victim to one of her schemes. Second, she is not a law enforcement officer so there is no way for her to find out the length of a person stays.

So I have had the Xreal air pro 2 for probably a couple of months now, and wow, what a rabbit hole to go down. I mean, all I want to do is..... Ok, so there's the easy, and the hard way to go about.... Playing PC fortnite with your squad of killers, teabaggin like there's no tomorrow..... Only thing is, there's no comms, or at least they're more elusive than the end of the rainbow. There's just sooo many orders and ways to try, and try....... And try to have success.... Did I say cry?

Dusted myself off, and convinced myself that it's the fact that my Asus gaming laptop has a HDMI slot, and in the convoluted Amazon description of said HDMI cable brushed over something I didn't hear properly About the sound not working with that cable.... I'm getting there....
Options. Ways. Like.... To beam or not to beam, that is the question. I mean ultimately, I have not gotten any closer to talking to my mates in a game with my xreals on without the beam in the motion sickness than I have with smooth follow, or body anchor for that matter. The closest I have gotten is without the beam, but that's not comfortable at all, and I bought the Glasses as in the next couple of months I will be starting to travel for 3, maybe 4 WHOLE days a month, as in 96 to a hundred hours every month, and I was thinking about my poor neck looking longingly, down at my iPad on my flights and busses and ferries and how much soreness the xreals will save me.... But I want to slay with my friends too.
'Member I was talking about my PC laptop, formidable but for all intents and purposes, is going to be useless amidst all the upcoming travel. I mean, I have a MacBook pro, an iPad pro, and a couple of Andy phones. Excluding the Pixel, pretty good going.... But Fortnite..... Got one cheap, so cheap in fact, that until then I was only really going to be in the market for an Asus rog ally. See where I'm going here? Double pene.... DP alt ports on things like the steam deck, but not the steam deck, cos of Epic Stoopid games.... Honestly I am fine with the story, but now that I have an Ayoneo 2, with fortnite loaded, I am sooooo close. But these gaming handheld form factor ain't easy, I think I got comms, but my Xbox controller went crazy and I got slain. By a bot. The question is this:
Has anybody had xreals, beam, fortnite, squads, meaning communication with remote squad members, and handheld gaming PCs to find a way to live in harmony?
That was actully really fun to write.. but You can only try so many times and so many different failures.... Before you gotta let the beam charge back up .... But it does seem like the order of connections and what you turn on first and hookup first really affects the eventual success or failure that you're going to have.... On smoke breaks I talk with a friend about my dreams of escaping the casino and talk about my rust adventures. He asked me to tell him where to start programming and what project to do. I am going to video call with him to go to get to hello world but wrote this guide so he could follow and repeat.

Terminal:

Most code in the world does not have a graphical user interface (gui). Such artwork is expensive to make and costly to run. Instead we work with the bare minimum in the terminal.
The terminal is a text interface where you can have powerful control of your computer. There are things that dont have any buttons, but everything has logic in terminal.
I am on Mac and use Zsh as my native terminal, I think you have Command Prompt but it will depend on you version of windows. I highly recommend you study your shell sooner than later. It can make life way easier.
I know some windows but can not give you too much advice. No matter what coding language you want to use you are likely going to want to use bash to automate stuff. I used bash to automate the login of my 6 Old School RuneScape accounts. Took me several minutes every play session, turned into one click with some light coding.

Interactive Development Environment:

Choose an IDE and look at all the options. check all the settings. I use VSCode. Look for extensions, configure them all. They can be incredibly powerful for your understanding of what your code is doing and what the borrow checker wants from you.
Don't stick with VSCode, different IDEs provide vastly different experiences per language. Always shop around.

Cargo:

Cargo is rusts package manager. It can get code from the internet, compile and ship your code, do versioning and most of the tedious stuff of coding.
Learn cargo well this is how you take your code and do things with it.
Do beware that cargo allows you to download arbitrary code from the internet. Don't go downloading sketchy shit and getting pwnd. But for big projects absolutely go ahead this community is awesome.
There is no need to enable git versioning with cargo, but it would be cool should you lose your computer your code would still be in the cloud and retrievable.

Rust's Borrow Checker:

The borrow checker is apart of the rust compiler, the thing that turns your text into computer code. It is going to be the bane of your existence should you stay with rust.
The borrow checker prints to terminal a highly detailed and specific commentary on your code explaining what it will not accept as valid rust code.
Read everything it says, often the borrow checker will explicitly tell you what to do to solve the problem. This will be most of your workflow, making the borrow checker happy. Once the rules of the borrow checker are followed, your program will run flawlessly. It may not make sense logically, But in a memory sense, the point of rust, safe.
If you use the borrow checker in the IDE you may get some hyperlinks that let you jump through your code to debug way faster than scrolling.
Do be warned though that there are bugs in rust, but none that beginners like us have to worry about.

Shop around for languages:

Rust is making me learn computer science and bring me really close to flipping bits and I think that is really cool.
Python is quick and easy to use. You can get competent in a month.
Python is 100x slower than rust but waaaaay more fun to use.
Rust is faster, but takes 10x longer to write at this point. But when I have completed something it is safe, fast, and as exact as I could want something.
If I wanted a job right away I would learn JavaScript, JS runs 90% of the internet and the majority of the jobs. But it's 29 years old, slow and unsafe. Its ecosystem is huge. Memes are bad. No dommy borrow checker.
C++ is the parent language to Rust. Haskell is also a big influencing factor. I would learn some about these languages and why rust 'fixes' them.

Bacon:

One tool I find so helpful in rust is called Bacon. It will automaticly rerun your program whenever you change the code. So instead of having to manually ask the computer to run it can always be running on the side, along with great displays of the borrow checker and clippy text recommendations.
Must have use it every time I VSCode open.

Clippy:

\\ this is a linter whose implications I have yet to understand see comments below!
Clippy is the formatter cargo uses to proofread and restyle your code. Very convenient when you get all sweaty and shit out some code from your stream of conscious then you can type one command and make it look intentional again.

Configure VSCode to support rust by downloading these extensions:

• Code Runner, for cargo support.
• CodeLLDB, for rust debugging support.
• crates, for better searching of third party crates from crates.io.
• Error Lens, highlights errors inline - very useful.
• Even Better TOML, syntax support for TOML manifest.
• Prettier, auto formats your code so its consistent with common style guides.
• Rust-analyzer, MANDATORY - this provides rust syntax support for VSCode.
• Rust Syntax, this enhances rust-analyzer.

Setup Hotkeys:

Setup a hotkey in vscode to run rust in its cargo run format with code runner.
This is rather complicated and cost me way to much time, but go to extentsions, Code-Runner. Click Code-Runner: Executor Map Edit Settings.json.
look for the rust entry in the field

Then go to hotkeys in the VSCode settings and search code-runner.
Edit the entry:
Run Code
code-runner.run
To your specifed hotkey. This will make VSCode use cargo to run your code. This hotkey should also run other languages should you do so.
Bacon must be added to your path. This may be difficult on windows I dont know but I challenge you to EITHER:
Make a profile in your terminal that has Bacon in the path (I failed to do this but got Zsh to run a Bash script that brings bacon to path on startup),
or make a macro/hotkey in vscode to bring them to path (this is what I did in VSCode only becasue I dont understand Zsh profiles enough... hours wasted)
oh by the way Bacon can be installed with 'cargo install bacon' and is found in root/.cargo/bin
My solution to VSCode was to add

Note that this will bring any cargo shell tools to path. One nice one I like is Exa, a file viewer like Dir but better

Hello!
Questions about stock card issues seem to pop up very often. I try to help answering when I see new ones but it gets tiresome to have the same conversation over and over again. SBCGaming has a great bot they use to reply to device recommendations and I thought it would be very handy if we could have one for stock card questions.
I don't know how to set one up, but I thought I could help by writing the post that it would reply with. Here is my suggestion for a "!sdcard":

Are you using the microSD card that came with the device? If so, it sounds like it’s having issues.
This is normal, the stock cards are very cheap and prone to failure, so the common advice is to replace them as soon as you can, before you have any saves you don’t want to lose.
A great thing about these devices is that fans create new custom firmware for them (basically an operative system) and they often can improve the user experience, features and performance.
What firmware should I use?
Here is a guide for the firmware available for the RG35XX H, with pros and cons.
How do I install new firmware?
Here’s a video that shows you the full progress to install the stock firmware. The process is similar for the other firmwares.
Do I need a computer to do this?
Yes.
Can I do this on a Mac?
Yes, but some of the steps require different software. Here is a thread that covers the main steps. Search this subreddit if it doesn't cover all of your questions.
This looks too hard. Can I buy a card that is already set up?
Possibly, but it will always be more expensive than getting a new card and setting it up, and if something breaks you won't know how to fix it.

I'm writing this post to share my story and to address the current banning process in World of Warcraft. It was suspended for the alleged use of third-party programs for cheating, botting, or hacking, not once but thrice! I assure you, I have not used any such programs, and I'm being falsely accused, even tho I foresee that people will not believe me. Bear with me as I share my story.
I began playing WoW during the first phase of the Season of Discovery on my work MacBook. For a month, everything was fine. I enjoyed the game, participated in raids, and had fun. I think that blizzard team did an amazing job in SoD and i was enjoying the game. However, in a moth or so after I started playing, I received a letter from Blizzard stating my account was permanently suspended for using third-party programs. Having not used any cheats, I appealed to Blizzard, but to no avail. All my tickets received automated replies.
During the winter holidays, I created a new account since my initial account was only level 25. My guild mates helped me level up quickly and even loaned me in-game gold for weapons (2gold which i have returned). But, just two days in, I received another permanent suspension for the same alleged activities. This was shocking and frustrating, especially as I hadn't managed to clear even one raid in Blackfathom Deeps. I filed multiple tickets but received the same automated responses and was told the decision was final.
Believing the issue was with my MacBook, I purchased a new PC exclusively for WoW. Five months later, I was regularly raiding, leveling with my guild, and gearing up. I'd even earned reputation with the Argent Dawn till revered. I'd almost forgotten about my two previous suspensions when, on a Tuesday while I was in Blackrock Depths, I was disconnected and informed my account had been suspended again.
I've appealed to Blizzard, but still receive automated messages. At the moment there is an open ticket for 3 days that is not even receiving replied. I’m gonna continue writing tickets until my will is depleted.
I've checked my add-ons and none of them infringe on the Terms of Use. Furthermore it’s frustrating that players are expected to vet these add-ons themselves.
In summary, I've had three WoW accounts suspended, despite not using any cheats or hacks. I've even bought a new PC in an attempt to resolve the issue, which did not. I hope Blizzard will review their banning algorithms for any potential problems.
I would like to continue by expressing the toll this experience has taken on me. It's disheartening to invest time, effort, and resources into playing World of Warcraft only to be met with unexplained suspensions. It's even more disappointing when appeals and attempts to understand the issue are met with automated responses, leaving me without any real answers or solutions.
I want to emphasize that I'm not writing this post to complain, but rather to shed light on an issue that may be affecting other new players as well. It's crucial for game developers to establish clear and fair practices when it comes to enforcing game rules and regulations. It is also essential that they provide clear channels of communication for players who find themselves, like me, accused of violations they did not commit.
I've seen the great community that World of Warcraft has built over the years, and I know that Blizzard cares about preserving the integrity of the game. That's why I believe it's important to have this discussion. I hope that my experience can lead to improvements in how bans are issued and disputes are handled.
To reiterate, I will not be creating another account (like previous times) until there is a resolution to this issue. It's not fair to continue investing in a game without knowing if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a flaw in the system leading to these suspensions.
In closing, I hope sharing my experience will prompt a closer look at the banning process in World of Warcraft. Regardless of my personal gaming future, I hope improvements can be made for the sake of the game’s community. I appreciate everyone who took the time to read this post.
