2024.05.15 04:38 Difficult_Jelly_6392Advice needed on photoshoots/posing
Hi! So I'm a pretty new model and I've been doing TFP and some paid shoots with photographers around the area for a while to build a portfolio and get experience. As I've been looking through my photos, I'm feeling dissatisfied with their quality at this point. I've improved a lot since first starting and I'm proud of that, but I feel like I've hit a kind of plateau in my skill level as a model and I'm stumped. I'm constantly trying to improve and I want to put out good quality images, but I think I've just been overthinking it all and I've overwhelmed myself. They just feel off/unprofessional to me, like there's something wrong but I can't quite figure out what that is or how to help improve it. To me they look more like the awkward senior pictures I took in high school than modeling photos I'd want an agent or client to see. I don't know if it's the posing, my face, the lighting/setup or the editing (or, likely, a mixture of many things) so I thought I'd ask people who have more experience in the industry for some advice on how to move forward. Here I've included a compilation of photos from the recent shoots I've done. Advice is definitely appreciated! Thanks đ
Hello I saw this is an FX3 subreddit group however unsure if anyone on here also has an FX30. This is a very niche question. Basically my workflow is mainly videography (professionally) however if a client were to ask me to take pictures I am not sure if I would want to turn down the opportunity. The FX30 has so many great video capabilities, I wanted to ask since I do know the FX30 can take great 26 MP stills, has anyone taken their FX30 to a professional photo shoot before and how did it perform? Again I understand it is a cinema camera but it has the tools to take a good picture as well (speaking from experience). Would it be frowned upon to use it at a professional photo shoot (Iâm thinking like modeling and like outdoor some indoor photography not really anything requiring a flash)

2024.05.14 22:44 kushmushinIs copilot spying on me/us?
So my last post on reddit is me asking for advice on what is probably a bust graphics card. I post pics, and ask my questions. Okay, done. But I'm going to search the components, see if I can order the missing caps, do a little magic. I do this in bing. I search ''gt710 c651 c652" and bing gives me nothing up front. So I switch over to copilot. I was going to ask it if I gave it a picture of the card if it could identify the missing caps. But we all know the search carries over, right? So copilot just shoots this out, and I'm still thinking about how I'll ask it to view my photos. But then I read number 2 in it's list. In the right order it tells me the missing cap's number, and the number of the cap that is, yes, still hanging on by one end. It literally tells me the entire answer to the reddit post without me having to prompt it. How did it know? I didn't tell it. The only way it would have known that if it was watching my reddit activity... I don't like it. https://preview.redd.it/35l48mf4dg0d1.png?width=1203&format=png&auto=webp&s=1686d325f6b1c94411e19fb0ebb47daaf8a576c7
2024.05.14 22:00 Nicky2327Should I confront a church about their ridiculous photography restrictions?
I just shot a wedding recently and was completely blown away by the restrictions they implemented for ceremonies. Before I explain, I should state that I'm Catholic, and a majority of my weddings are Catholic or in a Catholic church, so I know how to be respectful of the mass while capturing it. I've shot in small churches, cathedrals, and basilicas, and have never run into anything like this. Anyway, I arrive after shooting the morning activities and am met by who I can assume is the event coordinator for the church. She's an older woman who was polite enough (to begin with) but she explains to me that I can stand no further than the 5th pew from the back for the procession, and must move to the back of the church and stay there for the remainder of the ceremony. I can move along the sides, but no further than the 5th row. To me, this is ridiculous, as the space is fairly large. My business is small, I shoot weddings with my wife, and we have one long lens capable of shooting a wedding from the back of a damn church between the two of us. This has worked just fine for us for the last 7 years of doing this since I generally have the freedom to move around. I bring up to her that this is going to be a problem for me since I won't be able to capture the photos that my client is expecting based on my prior work. She says "I don't make the rules, I just enforce them. The priest makes the rules." She mentions that a big part of the reasoning is that I would be in the way of their live stream of the ceremony. I find this hard to believe since they have several cameras in the back, all of which are at least 10-12ft above seating space, and a professional technician in a booth managing the stream (this is a church in a very wealthy city in case you couldn't tell). I know the bride and groom quite well, so I was comfortable talking with them about the matter, asking the bride if she knew about these restrictions beforehand. She is shocked and tells me to just do whatever I need to do to do my job, stating that she cares way more about her pictures than she does a livestream. She also sends her attendants to talk to the priest about it, whom they know really well. The priest later finds me and says as long as I'm respectful and not distracting I can move further up as needed, which I of course would do anyway. I'm not sure if this was mentioned to the coordinator, but she was definitely with the priest when the attendants brought up the issue. Cut to the ceremony and I do what I was told by the event coordinator as best I can. I'm kind of boy scout with rules and don't want to make enemies with anyone, so I just tried to make the best of it. However, it didn't take long to realize that this was going to be an issue. My second shooter (my wife) is basically useless for the entire ceremony. We can't get any photos of the bride and groom's parents or family since they're in the front row. I can barely get shots of the musicians because of the layout of the church. The way the decor and seating are arranged, we can't even get photos of the bridal party, even if we had longer lenses. By the time we get to the Marian Devotion portion of their mass, I have had enough. After struggling to get a shot that the bride and groom explicitly said they wanted, I send my second discretely up the front to capture it, but we were too late in the end. Upon heading to the back of the church, the event coordinator walks up to my wife and sternly tells her that she's being disruptive and can't go up that far for photos, which drives me over the edge. I confront her (quietly of course) saying that their rules are hindering our ability to do the job that we were paid to do. She reiterates that she doesn't make the rules, to which I respond that I received permission from the person who does, as well as the bride. Her response is, and I quote, "Well that's just not cool." She then tells us that we're moving around too much and too quickly and being distracting. Apparently, casually and quietly walking around the edges of the church, as instructed, qualifies as such. Never mind the two dozen small children that are making noise and running around, or the crying babies being taken from their pews to the back of the church. We are the distraction. She spends the rest of the mass talking behind our backs to her little henchman helping her with the ceremony, both of whom stare daggers at us the rest of the ceremony. I've never had to deal with something like this before. Sure I've worked with restrictions, but never anything this rigid. I fully understand that it's their facility and they can make the rules however they please, and I'm sure they're there for a reason. However, when you are permitted by the person who makes said rules to bend them a bit, I don't think there's an excuse to be made. To me, this was very clearly someone who was given a small amount of power and takes it to a level of seriousness that is completely unnecessary. Likely because she can't do so anywhere else in her life. I also get that there's an argument to the made that if I'm going to shoot weddings then I should have all the necessary equipment to do so, which I believe that I do. Does it help that I have to share that equipment with my second? No, but again, it's worked out just fine for the entirety of my career. This is my side gig, and we all know how expensive equipment can be. So, my question is whether I should reach out to the church with my experience in hopes of inspiring some sort of change for future photographers. Again, I know there are plenty of places that operate like this (if not worse) and at the end of the day, we all have to make do. This particular set of circumstances, and how it was managed on their end, just don't sit well with me though. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

2024.05.14 20:45 dragon_0526Why as an amateur photographer think the XF 27mm f2.8 + XF 18-55 f2.8-4 is THE BEST all rounder convo for everyday/event photography (X-S20 body)
Take this as an opinion of a normal person with a pasion for photography and youtube video courses. I've been taking photos for about 2 years now, had a M50 mkII before with canon's 32mm f1.4, 23mm f2, 15-45 kit, 55-200. While it gave me a lot of versatitly I found it lacking in two aspects: first, to much gear to carry even thout it was small, second, a lot of lens changing because I had the tools to get the "perfect" picture. Sold it and purchased a Fuji X-S20 body mainly for:
Fuji colors and film simulations: I like post edditing but a lot of times the beauty of a picture is caputring the moment as is, hence the fuji colors and films simulations. I shoot jpegs 99% of the time, only jpeg + raw when I know lightning is bad or are picture for a friend's event.
Videocapabilities: Canon M50 mkII video was just dowright bad even in 4K.
Feel and aesthetics: lets be honest Fuji cameras look way better than canon and sony cameras, are more of a personal item than a tool (like Sony and Canon feel), it makes me feel more creative and overall relaxed.
Also got the 18-55 f2.8-f4 "kit lens" but damn it is so damn good and versatile, I mainly use it when hiking or in events with friends like graduations, or something were distances are changing a lot and a more "profesionnal" looking pic is required. Then the 27mm f2.8 fills the need of a very compact lens, it protudes the same width as the grip, very handy for travel and overall it feels less intimidating for capturing memories. also focal lens is nice and wide ish so you can frame then crop if needed but also takes good protraits and overall feels more intimate for protratis in familiy reunions and stuff. IMO this combo is the best you can get as an amateur photographer. Hope this testimony helps people.
2024.05.14 20:00 Inciter_of_vibeCyberpunk 2077 Analog Movement with Wooting Keyboard Guide, Updated for Patch 2.12
Hi all, this is a guide on setting up analog walking and driving for Cyberpunk 2077 with the analog capability in a Wooting Keyboard (or other analog-capable keyboard depending on if you can replicate the advanced key setup). As the Wooting Keyboard allows you to "spoof" controller inputs due to the analog nature of its magnetic switches, you can setup many games to allow you to moderate your speed based on how far down you press the key, rather than simply being binary like "walk" or "don't walk". This guide serves as an update to the original written here, because the original was written 3 years ago and has outdated mappings/keybindings, and the author had since had their account deleted. Additionally, the original sets up the movement for walking and driving both on one joystick, instead of two, and this is an issue as explained below:
Here is a backup of the original file if you messed up or wish to undo these changes (or you can delete the file from the game folder and verify integrity of game files thru steam): https://pastebin.com/cpFyp39k
CONCLUSION:
That is all that is to it! While the original guide said to change the keybinds for walking / driving to something other than the WASD keys ingame, this seems to be unnecessary as the setup still works despite not changing them. Issues:
WASD (aka left joystick) still moves the cursor in the game settings / inventory, I found that none of the mappings control it. Only an issue if for instance you liked to use A and D to navigate submenus, etc.
The game will rapidly switch between displaying keyboard icons and controller icons on your HUD, as of course it is detecting both keyboard and controller inputs at the same time. A user said that this caused FPS issues for them, so YMMV. Wish there was a fix for this but I have not found any
Note: This mappings setup may become invalid (like in the original guide) if an update changes everything again, but I bet that will not be the case since the game has probably already received most of the updates it was going to get Thanks for reading, let me know of any suggestions or issues

I canât for the life of me not feel completely awkward with myself when Iâm taking pictures of myself! đ€Ș Itâs still foreign to this ol hag! I think itâs because I have daughters in their early twenties and the whole selfie movement came out when they were teenagers and they always had their face in front of their phones taking 12 million pictures of themselves and my hubby and I would tease them because they looked so ridiculous to us and now I feel like I look as ridiculous as they did whenever I am having a photo shoot with myself in the morning right as I am rushing my 2 little ones and myself out the door to share my outfits on Reddit!đ anybody else get all awkward with themselves when having a photo shoot with oneself!?!? And itâs almost ALWAYS as Iâm literally running to my truck with the kids yelling⊠GO GO GO weâre gonna be late! 2024.05.14 18:53 megs_horrorNorwegian Mayhem Album Cover 1991
TW: Suicide, Self-harm, gore and NSFW This is a very controversial album cover, I would not recommend trying to look for it. History of the band before: Mayhem was founded in 1984 by guitarist and lead signer Per Yngve Ohlin (known initially as "Destructor", later "Euronymous"), bassist JĂžrn Stubberud ("Necrobutcher") and drummer Kjetil Manheim, taking their band name from the Venom song "Mayhem with Mercy". They had many controversial performances as the lead singer (Per Ohlin) would cut himself on stage during performances and would let himself bleed out. Ohlin had a condition called Cotard syndrome where the person who has the condition feels like they are already dead and do not exist. The album cover: Per Yngve Ohlin unfortunately committed suicide on the 8th April 1991 aged 22. He slit his wrists, then proceeded to cut his throat. While he is still bleeding out he gets a shotgun and shoots himself in the head area where the brain is. His bandmates later found him dead. However, instead of calling 911 or going to the hospital or contacting anyone. He instead gets a camera from a nearby store and started to take pictures of Ohlinâs dead body. They took positions of him in many different positions- one being him sitting half up with the shotgun on his knee. One of the photos was later used as the album cover for Mayhemâs album âDawn Of The Black Heartâ. In the image: If you do not want to view the image but still want to know about it read this. It is an image of Ohlinâs dead body lying on the ground, his eyes open and his brains spilling out of the front of his head onto the floor. His body is covered in blood, especially his arms. Next to him lies a bloodied knife and a shotgun.
2024.05.14 18:33 JackkSkyline21 [M4F] #Scotland #UK #Online #Western Australia #Perth - looking for a gaming duo :)
(I know it's not the main focus in the title but I'd also be super keen to talk to people in the UK, either London or somewhere in England or Scotland around like Edinburgh as there's a near 100% chance I'm moving there this year) Hi everyone! My name is Jack, I'm 21 and I'm a recent cyber security and forensics and internetworking and network security graduate, but I hope to go on for a few more years and do post grad studies! (this year my goal is to move to Edinburgh for my masters!) Hobbies!: For the past few years I've been heavily into formula 1, never missing a race (even the 3 am ones and even worse, the 7 am ones!) I also enjoy doing photography, I mainly do cars but I have recently started thinking about more landscape/urban photography. Now for games! My main ones are Destiny 2, and rainbow six siege, (for those wondering my highest rank is diamond 3 (when rank actually meant something lol)), but I haven't been playing them much these days. I play heaps more than that but I can't think of them off the top of my head lol. To try and list some id say project zomboid is one I'm very into as of right now, that and hell divers 2. I really enjoyed elden ring so I want to try more souls like games. Red dead redemption 2 is amazing and my favourite game of all time is probably watch dogs 2. I love JDM cars and unfortunately haven't been to a car meet in over a year now. My introduction to photography was through cars so if you'd like to see some of my photos do let me know! Most of my part time work went towards getting my dream car so I definitely plan on going to more meets! As for what I look like I'm 5"11' brown hair that touches my shoulders and never acts normally. I am 75 ish kg and I have brown eyes. That's a basic description of me but if you want a picture that's not an issue. I'm not really too good at writing these advertisements or making titles or finishing them off so I'll just say if I sound appealing to you or you wanna know more, feel free to shoot me a message! For those in WA I'm down in the Mandurah area but travelling up to Perth isn't an issue for me! And hopefully I see all you Scots later this year! Thanks for reading! Stay safe people!!
2024.05.14 18:12 WorthResolution1880Hot Take: Meterless Cameras Lead to Better Exposure
The number of posts in this sub around improperly exposed shots (usually classic cases of the meter being "fooled," such as backlit scenes or landscapes with a lot of sky) are the stuff of collective eye-rolling and certainly provide amusing fodder for analogcirclejerk . However, the thought came to me recently that many of these problems could be solved simply by using a camera without a meter. Unless you are shooting film with very narrow exposure latitude, Sunny 16 will probably provide just as good or better results when photographing outdoors in daylight than the average 1970s SLR with center-weighted metering (I'm looking at you, AE-1). I see a lot of posts here where new photographers ask for camera recommendations and insist on having a meter, but are either completely new to photography or coming from digital. I don't see a lot of warning that a camera (especially an older one without matrix metering) having a meter does not mean you should trust it implicitly. For shooting indoors or in other low-light situations, having a meter is truly helpful. But most of the messed-up photos people show here are of landscapes or other pictures taken outside where the photographer has blindly followed the meter instead of understanding the situation. I personally grew up using a Canon AE-1 in the early/mid-2000s. I didn't really understand what I was doing all that well. I had plenty of issues with exposure because I didn't know how to meter. I was also like ten at the time, so I think that has something to do with it. When I got back into film photography in the last several years, I have exclusively shot black and white film, mostly outdoors. In doing so, I noticed that the results I got from my meterless cameras were as good or even better than those cameras with meters. A bit of practice with Sunny 16 and I was on my way. An external meter (even a phone meter) helps in very tricky situations I can't judge myself. I find that I get just as many properly exposed pictures per roll (if not more) using a meterless camera than one with a meter (and I do understand how meters work at this point). As I said, I shoot entirely black and white, though. I understand that you really do need a meter for slide film, maybe even color print film. However, I also suspect that most people shooting slide film are not beginners and really know how to use their camera's meter. I've never heard much wailing and gnashing of teeth about how someone's Nikon F, Canon P, or Kodak Retina turned into a paperweight because the electronics failed. On the other hand, maybe we should continue to shill AE-1s and T2s to newcomers just so those other cameras continue to be undervalued in the market. TL;DR if we're tired of all of these posts with improperly exposed pictures asking "did the lab mess up," maybe we should start recommending a camera with no meter (and tell people to use the meter in their head) instead of a 1980s SLR with program mode that will get used without proper understanding?
2024.05.14 18:07 KamikazeedriverImmich app no longer rebuilding uploaded photos.
The way the app used to work, I could drag down to force the app to connect to the server to update photos i may have added to the server outside the app. This was ideal as I use Immich as a backup for my daily point and shoot photos, but i use a nextcloud server as my full backup for all photos. Both point and shoot fun photos, as well as work photos, downloads, app photos, etc. I have Immich set not to auto backup so i can specifically backup certain photos I want to be on my Immich server, which I do near the end of the day. Then once I goto bed and put my phone on the charger, Nextcloud is set to backup all i listed above. When my nextcloud server finishes, it then deletes those photos off the device, which serves to remind me that they are backed up on my cloud. Naturally, if i open Immich the next day, the thumbnail it had for the picture that was on the device, is blurred, as the picture no longer exists on the device. Up until last week (weekend?), i could simply drag down and hold a second, and when I'd lift my finger, the Immich app would say, "Building . . " or rebuilding, i can't remember the exact wording. It would seem to pull a thumbnail of the backedup image to replace the blurry "missing" version of it. This was also useful if I uploaded some images to my Immich server outside the app, like on a computer through the web interface. After uploading directly to the server using the web interface, i coule open the app and drag down and hold, release and it would populate all the new pictures. Is this feature removed, or just bugged? I have a Pixel Fold if that helps narrow anything down.

Definition of Marketing
American Marketing Association defines marketing as activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large. Source What do you see here?
Marketing is not about activities, it contains activities, set of institutions and process.
Function of marketing is not generating sales. Itâs creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging offerings that has value.
In this post weâll focus on Shopify stores marketing. However in the big picture marketing has not limited with companies. Marketing can be done within organization or society.
Letâs summarize what marketing definition for a Shopify store. Marketing will create, communicate, deliver and exchange offers that have value for customers. As you can see main subject in here is customers. Because of this, Iâll put customers as the center of this guide. Everything weâll do has to something with them.
Market Research, Competitor Analysis and Defining Your Target Market
This is a practical guide for marketing so I want to continue with a hypothetical Shopify stores for each steps. Letâs say we have a Shopify store that has some high-end, organic baby clothes targeting new parents.
Market Research
How can we do the market research? Letâs say you have a new Shopify store that has less than 500 order per month. You can hire expensive agencies, expensive experts to research the market, create market reports for you, etc. Even if you do that, I highly suspicious if it helps you. However you can talk with your new-parent friends. Ask them about how do they decide to buy baby clothes? What they are looking for before completing their purchases? Do they get any expert opinion before making buying decision? How do they search online and what they want to see? Is there any great YouTube channels about this. Donât have any friends? Checkout your friends not a new-parents but parents and ask similar questions to them. If you also donât have them, try to make new born friends. I know how hard it is but letâs be honest here. If you donât know anybody in your target audience, how do you manage to get know them? All of the successful stores I saw they have direct relationship with their target audience. When you make your research with real people, then you can extend your project to online. Try to search as they do. What do you find? Deep in dive and take your notes.
Competitor Analysis
When you done this market research, youâll also see there are some other brands. This is a huge subject but letâs call these brands as competitor for now. Now itâs time to analyze them.
Checkout their branding strategy.
What are their value propositions?
What is hot about them? Return guarantee, free shipping etc.
What is not hot about them? Poor product or store design, low UX on the website, etc.
What people think about them? Google reviews, Trust pilot reviews, product reviews on the store.
Are there any partnership or influencer program theyâre running?
What is their Google/YouTube campaign strategy? Check it here.
What is their Facebook/Instagram campaign strategy? Check it here.
Create a spreadsheet with all of this information. Weâll use this when working on positioning and marketing strategy.
Define Your Target Market
What do you say about our target market? Can all of new parents be our target market? Nope, it canât. You need to deep dive into your market and find a sub-segment, a niche that will need your products much better than anybody else and afford it easily. This is what I called ideal customer profile (ICP). Check out what is ideal customer profile and how to create your ideal customer profile posts to learn more about the concept. For our hypothetical store, ICP can be something like this; Demographics
Media consumption: Social media, parenting blogs, magazines
Shopping habits: Researches purchases thoroughly, values quality over price
Pain Points
Concerns about harmful chemicals in baby clothes
Difficulty finding stylish and affordable organic baby clothes
Wants to make sustainable choices for their children
Needs
High-quality, organic baby clothes that are safe and healthy for their children
Unique and stylish designs that make their children look and feel good
A brand that shares their values and commitment to sustainability
Buying Behaviors
Researches products online before making a purchase
Reads reviews and testimonials from other parents
Shops at specialty stores and online retailers
Willing to pay a premium for quality and sustainability
After creating ICP, itâs important to spend some time on empathy map. Donât forget to check it, too. Now we know our baby clothes Shopify store market, customerâs buying process and our ideal customer profile.
Brand Identity and How to Create Your Branding
Iâll follow the American Marketing Association (AMA) in here too. First look at brand definition. AMA defines brand as âany distinctive feature like a name, term, design, or symbol that identifies goods or servicesâ. Branding is for creating and managing your brandâs identity. It involves your mission, values, culture and public image. Iâm not an expert on brand, but I know how branding can be effective for your conversions and performance. Here are some checklist for you.
Design consistency is the key. Your visual identity should be consistent across social media, Shopify store, emails, product detail pages, etc.
Copy consistency is the key. Your communication style should be consistent across social media, Shopify store, emails, product detail pages, etc.
Experience consistency is the key. Letâs say your brand looks like a high-end brand and when a new visitor visit your store first they see is an annoying popup saying want to get 10% OFF. This is simply how to destroy your brand.
Craft a story and stick to it. What makes you create this brand? Faces behind the brand. This is a huge leverage for creating trust and building bonds.
Go-to-Market Strategy and Defining Your Marketing Strategy
So far we identified our target market and ideal customer profile. Check out competitors and creates the branding for our store. Now itâs time to work on go-to-market strategy and crafting our marketing strategy.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Letâs say you recently launched your Shopify store or add a new line of products. You need a plan to introduce your store or new products to the market. This is what we called go-to-market(GTM) strategy. Main goal of the GTM is letting people know that there is a new brand or product line. Itâs similar to launch marketing. Key message here is there is a new products/brand launched and it offer the best for you. Give it a try, youâll love it. All of your messages and communication should be parallel to this process. Our focus is convincing people to try our products/brand. So I always offer a special campaign just for the launch to give people to a reason to try your products/brand. For our hypothetical Shopify store we can run a special campaign for launch like;
Free shipping until X date.
5 different boy and girl bundle with 40% OFF to try our products.
Marketing Strategy
This is your plan of actions to sell or advertise your products. Now we can talk about selling part of the marketing. Letâs say you have GREAT advertising creatives and a huge budget and just spending it. Donât wait to crack the code and having lotâs of sales. Your marketing strategy should be follow sales funnel. If you donât have a high-converting sales funnel, you canât expect people to buy from you. Check out How to Build High Converting Sales Funnel For Shopify post. AIDA Sales Funnel Framework Now we can continue with our hypothetical store example. Weâre selling high-end, organic baby clothes on our store. We crafted our ICP, empathy map, work on branding and created our story.
Example Marketing Strategy
First step weâll work on attention step. Our focus is getting attention of our target market attention. We can create a educative e-book like â7 Harmful Chemicals Commonly Used in Baby Clothes and How to Avoid Themâ and run some campaigns targeted new parents on social network (Facebook, Instagram or YouTube) This ads will land on a landing page that gives brief information about why we should pay attention to chemicals in baby clothes for our little ones and make a promise like âI spend my last 5 years about researching chemicals on baby clothes and prepare this book for you and your little oneâ. Also there can be a quick video about our story explaining our expertise in this field and why weâre building this brand. We can ask for their email address to share the book with them. When they enter their email address, weâll send them this ebook. After first email with the ebook, we can send a few more emails with easy to digest information about chemicals. This will create an expertise image on our target customers and start to create a bond with them. Not a bad start, right? At the same time we can use this content on our social media, right? Quick videos, infographics and posts about the chemicals in the baby clothes. After getting a few thousands subscribers we can organize a webinar to answer questions. This will also a great content for re-used social media content and creating trust and expert image. Then we can share a time-limited promotion with this people for a bundle. Like weâre running a campaign and these 5 chemical free baby clothes bundles 10% discounted until next week! We can send emails about it and use this campaign for remarketing for only people who show interest in our e-book and webinar. This is a very brief template of marketing plan. Now letâs take a look at more common one.
Post product photos on social media with lotâs of hashtags
Run a Meta campaign without any targeting, land people on product detail page
Give them WELCOME10 discount if they enter their email address
Send them 15 emails in the next 5 days to maximize your sales.
Itâs time for you. Which one do you want to choose? All of the experts recommending this without even asking who are your customers. Can you believe it? Donât forget that marketing strategy is not a hope. Itâs a well documented plan of actions designed for turning strangers into customers.
Inbound and Outbound Marketing Channels
Inside the marketing strategy, channels plays a vital role. There are lotâs of ways to group channels. Iâll use most basic one. Inbound Marketing Channels: With the inbound marketing your customers will find you and start the interaction. Most common channel for inbound marketing is organic search engine optimization. After creating high quality content, when customers search something online, they can see your articles and first interaction happens. Outbound Marketing Channels: With the outbound marketing you reach out to customers. Facebook/Instagram/YouTube ads, influencer marketing, display ads, podcast ads can be count in this category. As you can imagine inbound marketing channels takes lotâs of efforts and time however over the time youâll have organic marketing channel and it brings you customer without needing any budget. Outbound marketing channels generally works with advertisement models and you need budgets to run these channels. Most of time I recommend to start with outbound marketing channels and then invest inbound marketing channels overtime. Donât forget to check Mastering Paid Ads For Shopify post. Succesful marketing plans should be supported by high converting growth and conversion plans.
