Below is concrete proof. As you probably know, the Opus system prompt was changed a few days ago. Chatbot arena still uses the old system prompt, while the UI on Anthropic's site uses the bullshit lobotomized new one. Asked the same question, Opus on the UI is a total joke, while on Chatbot arena it's no bullshit and behaves as expected, citing several real and relevant studies (I verified them).
Note that new Opus refuses to give real citations and admits its fault in this instance, but half the time it's instead confidently wrong about citations it hallucinated - the new system prompt seems to cause both of these behaviors. Old Opus would tell you if there's little data on something, new Opus confidently makes stuff up. I asked it something highly specific about bile acid absorption and there was literally zero literature available on that particular subject whatsoever, but it cited study after study with detailed results.

Hello! I’ve identified as bi for a while now and after some realizations, I’m starting to think I’m just actually a lesbian. So I would like some thoughts and input on whether or not this may actually be the case.
All the men I’ve ever been with have been, I realized, have been for purely performative reasons. None of which I ever actively pursued, they always approached ME, I always HATED being in relationships with them, I have a track record of always being the first the breakup as soon as they start to annoy me, never liked sex with them, never really found myself interested in dating because of them. But I always seemed to have a man on my arm, even if I wasn’t in a relationship with any, I’d often have a token guy friend I’d drag around and it didn’t hit me that my want to have them around wasn’t purely genuine till a friend referred to one as my “boy toy” which grossed me out, but made me think. Made me realize I deal with some comphet issues.
I’ve always been attracted to women but unfortunately I haven’t had many opportunities to pursue any due to growing up in a homophobic household for YEARS and me being forced to stay in the closet for safety reasons. Despite this, I’ve had women attracted to me and outwardly flirt with me and while it for sure gave me feelings and my relationships with them felt a million times more intense despite me not feeling comfortable with leading them on or anything since I felt I really couldn’t pursue anything living where I was without jeopardizing everything.
Anyways, I thought I was aromantic bisexual for YEARS since I absolutely hated being in relationships and never went out of my way to pursue anyone and never had intense feelings towards men. As for women, it felt like an inaccessible possibility so I never had the time to sit down and give it much thought.
Now that I’ve been living on my own though and have had the opportunity to form non-platonic relationships with women (tho I’d say some of my previous encounter where more queer-platonic, one even would kissed me out of nowhere), I feel so enraptured with this one woman in particular (tho any pretty girl makes me nervous, really) and it’s made me realize that I’m likely not aromatic. But only taking till now to actually allow myself to have sapphic experiences makes me feel weird using the label but since the bisexual label implies attraction with men, that feels wrong too. My order arrived today! I placed it at noon on April 20 and it arrived on April 24!
I have an order I placed from Smelly Yeti's end of business 50% sale six weeks ago that still hasn't been shipped yet. :(
My 8 bottles were packaged inside a priority mail box. Inside were 3 mesh bags filled with 2 or 3 bottles padded with a potpourri made of what I think are dried rose petals, lavender, and some other dried herbs I can't identify. I had to untie them with the tip of a pen. I tied them up again and I now have 3 sachets for my drawers.
I really like this clever natural packaging, but maybe some people might not like the fragrant dust, or that some of it gets into the little crevices between the caps and the bottles. I had to be careful when opening them that none of this dried stuff get into the oils.
I know I need to let them rest, but I will give my bottle sniffing first impressions.
Meg March - "Amber, plums, vanilla sugar, black cherry preserves, citrus peel, skin musk, pink blooms" There is a sourness which I think is the cherry, but no cough syrup note that a lot of cherry has. I am looking forward to smell how this blooms on the skin.
The Halloween Tree - "Caramel apples, cinnamon pecans, orange rind, cedar, pumpkin seeds, red berries, butterscotch candies, spiced fruit pies, marigold, autumn leaves, pumpkin" - I definitely smell the butterscotch candies and caramel but curiously enough, no spices. There is definitely something like dried fruit in the background. It doesn't smell like cherry or apples. It is sweet and very savory at the same time. It has a lot of sweet gourmand notes, but it isn't foodie at all.
Annabel Lee - "Myrrh, cinnamon-sugared strawberries, clove, tonka, walnut shells, cardamom, beeswax, decaying fabric, soil, amaretto" - I don't know how to even begin to describe this. I smell sweet spices, especially clove, combined with something that is not foodie at all. I really look forward to how the strawberries manifest.
Pyramid of Giza - "Frankincense, myrrh, cedar, amber, honey dust, cinnamon, vanilla, neroli, red rose, patchouli" - For all the resins and patchouli in this the oil is a pale yellow. I have a feeling this one will need some aging. It's a rollerball and I just rolled a tiny bit of it on and I smell cinnamon and a blend of other things that I have a hard time separating. There is something citrusy that may be the cedar and neroli. I'm not sure how I feel about the cinnamon but I am hoping aging will deepen the scent. It smells really good, but much lighter than I thought an oil with all these resins, woods, and patchouli would be. I really do want the rose to come out.
The Raven - "Incense, sandalwood, dragon’s blood, myrrh, ghostly flowers, musk, sweet powdered aromatic bark" Sweet resins with a floral touch. I love incense and I bought this because I don't have an incense with "ghostly flowers" My favorite so far.
The Dunwich Horror - "Sooty vanilla marshmallow, woods, autumn wind, leather, firewood embers" - I smell sweet embers. The sweetness doesn't smell like vanilla or marshmallows yet. I am hoping that this will be like Hexennacht's All Soul's Night.
Uluru - "Bergamot, lemon blossom, lime leaf, oud, myrrh, ylang ylang, dendrobium" - So far, only the citrus is present. This one is a roller ball.
Wilbur Whateley - "Bergamot, lemon peel, grasses, spring blossoms, neon green: - musk, paper, leather" - I smell a very strong lemon and a strong lime. Lime must be part of the "neon green musk".
I will update after these have rested a bit. I have a feeling some of them are really meant for cold weather.
