Dating boss

Long message/ narrative over the last two years which has been troubling me. Also, I don't know if my story really fit in here. Haven't used this app much. Apologies to the moderato admin of the community.
I'm 30 yo male. I got married on 19 Feb 22 and just completed 2 yrs. The last 2 years have been very difficult for me and I had thoughts of commiting suicide multiple times. Now, somehow those thoughts have stopped.
My legally wedded (28 yo as on date) has done nothing but tarnished my image in the society, my peers, juniors and seniors of the office. She shouted on me, threw things on me and even held knife on my throat.
My sex life was also never good in these last 2 years. I never forced her for anything or put any kind of pressure on her and yet she pushed when it came to my pleasure. I was very deliberate and concerned about her pleasure and always kept mine at a backfoot. After giving her a good orgasm, she always said that she's tired and asked me to move and that she wants to sleep. I always did it. Towards end of 23, I even found her tinder profile.
We were already under marriage counselo psychologist since May 22 (calling her 'A') and that too it was my wife who wanted to go for it. Post that in Dec 22, we went for another psychologist/ counselor (calling her 'B') as well. And my wife was reluctant to change her behavior.
She even put false allegations (of having an affair with another of her colleague) on one of my senior under whom she was working and shouted on him on multiple occasions including their official meetings. (Let's say her organization is Z and mine is A. I work along with this senior in organization A and he's also the boss of organization Z in which she works)
I've heard her talking bad and ill about me to others in her family and other known ladies here in the society. I also have those recordings when she's talking like that about me. Also, I have photos and videos of her WhatsApp chats where I caught her cheating on me with a considerable older man (got suspicious from Apr 22). I have her chats where they were sexting. When she got suspicious that I might know, she changed the platform to telegram and then to signal. But again, I was able to track her sexting on all the other platforms. Once I confronted her (Feb 23 on first anniversary), she never accepted her mistake and said that as per her she never did anything wrong. A few months later, I see another of her chats with her ex. Before marriage, she did tell me about her ex and said that never happened anything between them apart from holding hands. I kept an eye on the chats and I find that as late as 1 in the night they were on a video call which lasted close to an hour. A few days later when she was heading to her home (in Jun 23), myka, I see her text telling him that she wants to meet him and she's OK getting physical with him. And then confirms if the place to get physical will be the same like earlier, the corner seat in the theater. This got me very furious and I did not want her to come back. Which I made clear to her and her parents. Even then her parents never believed me and she was always the best manipulater and denied the same and denied this sort of talk which I claim had happened.
All this while, the counselor A, I've been in touch with her. When these things happened, I told her and my parents everything. Both, they asked me to give her another chance and after a series of conference call between me and my wife and counselor A being the moderator, finally she came back after close to 5 months, just before Diwali last year. And even that was painful. We flew to my parents place for diwali and again lots of things and fights happened. Post diwali, my parents shifted with me permanently. First week of Dec, she scratched my mother, then pushed and kicked and my mother fell badly hurting herself and sustaining injury in her flesh area of the ribs. It was very bad few weeks for her. Even the doc said her to get admitted thinking that even I'm with my wife in hurting my mother. She held on to my laptop, hugging it, which I had given my father to work on. My parents said, let us delete the files stored on it and then you can keep it and then words were exchanged and that is when she did all those things to my mother.
Since that day onwards, it's been 5 months that we are living separated. She's living in her home with her parents and me here with my parents. I've decided and made up my mind for a divorce. But I'm not sure even if I hold any ground to file a divorce. Also, the courts and law in our country mostly favours the opposite sex, the females.
Need advice/ help as to what should I do. Thanks in advance.

Basically have been out of a job until very recently, my start date is not until next week and my boss said my first paycheck will be received on the 14th of June. I’ve had money saved up but I’m just about 200 short of rent. I’m new here but willing to provide whatever is needed for verification.

My soon to be ex-husband stepped out of the marriage towards the end and had an emotional (most likely physical as well) affair. He is an addict, so he would hang out with her everyday at the bar and they would snort cocaine together. This lasted a few months. This was only ONE traumatic thing I experienced in our 8 year relationship.
A little while after I found out, he left our house and went missing for weeks or days at a time and then went to rehab after not showing up to work. His boss dropped him off at my house, without warning, and I dropped my world to drive him across the state to rehab.
After he got back from rehab he wanted to move back in but I told him no. I needed time for him to prove he was ready to be a husband and SAFE for me to be around. He never moved back in, as he kept drinking and most likely using. He tried to reel me back in but my gut told me to not give in.
I found out that during this time of us being separated he was on dating apps, at the bar talking badly about me, and so forth. He eventually ended up getting another girl pregnant and told me after coming to my house while drunk.
He got her pregnant while he was texting me how much he missed me. At that point we had an agreement that if we were going to start dating other people we would communicate it. He did not. Eventually, I was busy starting the divorce process, which he knew.
What really hurts me beyond the obvious is how his family is telling me “he seems different” and he is now telling me how happy he is. A part of me knows that his family only saw him while he was happy, traveling to see them over a weekend, and doesn’t see the drunk inconsistent side. The side that told me he hopes his baby mama has a miscarriage or that he wishes it was mine. They don’t see how when he comes over to get his belongings out of my house he throws things against the wall and blames me for stealing his house and dogs from him.
But what if he is happier? Of course I don’t want him to be miserable forever, but I feel shame about this. How could he be happier when all I ever tried to do was love him? Idk…
I guess it doesn’t matter anymore what he or his family think of me. I’ll always be the villain for being the sole person to hold him accountable. It just sucks and hurts so badly, I gave him 8 years of my life, and all I ever asked was to be treated with respect, loyalty, and love.
How do I move forward from this?

Dear you (the ghost),
The last time I had given any thought to dating you was back in 2021. It was sometime in January, my brother and I had gotten coffee before we made our way downtown for a photoshoot, and some sappy country song was playing during the drive over. Then there was one Sunday afternoon in April, clocking in and beginning my shift of sorting and polishing silverware, wondering how different my life would have been if we had decided to actually date each other back then.
Eventually, I did continue to think of dating, but more in general and dating other guys.
Well, now is a good time as any to revisit this subject with you for the final time and put it to rest.
Speaking first to the past ...
I was jealous and envious of any other woman who had somehow caught your attention and you had pursued. Even if it was just nothing but sex. Whoever she was, I was jealous and envious of her. Why? Because she was able to somehow get from you what I couldn't. She knew you in a way that I wanted to but couldn't. I was also angry because I felt like I was missing out and that I was missing out on a good thing. I believed that you were this great and awesome catch, that you had all kinds of women lined up to chase after you, and I was somehow denied the opportunity to join the rat race along with them. (you can't see me real-time reaction as I'm getting these words out, but I'm totally LOL. I was so stupid!!) I began to realize that I did want you, but only wanting you because I knew that I wouldn't be able to have you. Wanting after you felt very good to my mind, and it was soothing to my emotions, but I logically knew that ~ if that desire were to manifest itself in my reality ~ it would be a total train wreck. I beat myself up constantly and drilled myself down, trying to figure out why I wasn't good enough for you to treat me with the same desire that you would give to any other woman. Eventually, I got tired of it all and channeled my energy into replacing you (2022 and 2023 didn't work out so well. I'm now getting in 2024 that I'm not supposed to go out and find him).
Coming back to the present moment ...
I'm JUST NOW starting to get to the place of acceptance and being thankful that you and I never had the opportunity to date (drinks/dinner with you, while having my brother tagging along, at The Yard was my subtle way of seeing what it would have been like to go out with you). I was upset that I wasn't in the best place in my life to really date anyone and that I couldn't have presented to you who I could've been if I wanted to date you. You would have seen a much better side of me. I had felt so bad! But I'm starting to get that it was all for the best. I'm really glad that we never got the opportunity to explore things between us back then. It would not have worked out anyway. I'm going to trust that I was spared from even greater pain, and it worked out that way for my good. This is not an indictment against you. I truly believe, deep down, that you really are a good guy. I don't hate you and I have no animosity towards you. We just weren't good for each other. I accept that.
Speaking lastly to the future ...
I can't speak up for you, boss you, control you, tell you what to do ... but for myself, I'm not going to open up my heart or my mind towards the future with you. Sure, the universe can surprise me if it chooses to and I'm not going to stop it from doing so. But I'm not going to secretly wish for you to come back. I honestly and truly wish good things for you. I appreciate your brief experience in my life. But that's all it was supposed to be. Nothing more. Therefore, I'm no longer holding it against you that you never came back. I just hope that you're doing really well for yourself.

You are to report to your new handler, AN - 2364, immediately for tasking.

Hi there! My name is Sean and I have been roleplaying for probably close to 15 years now. I am 26 by the way! I got started with text-based roleplay while playing Runescape when I was (probably) way too young... Since then, I've had many different partners over the years. I've even created and ran a Discord group RP server that had around 30 members at its peak - but that just got to be way too much for me to deal with... Having a full time job made it extremely difficult, even with staff members!
Even though I had to leave that server behind, I still love diving into in depth roleplays with enthusiastic people. My ideal partner would enjoy collaborative worldbuilding, slow burn, intrigue and epic tales. As a Dungeons and Dragons dungeon master in real life, I have no problem creating various NPCs as the story unfolds, but I also love when my partner is comfortable doing the same - after all, I find most amazing roleplays have truly grand scope and scale and will more than likely involve more than just our main characters.

I am on unemployment extension with a fixed end date. I am getting a one time payment for some help I provided my old boss. If I report that I didn't receive anything my time period for the extension does not extend. I essentially just lose out on $450.
Any recommendations? Not sure if my old boss will 1099 me or not so wondering if they'll find out

I recently had a baby shower and I wasn’t really given the choice about it. It was kind of thrust upon me. A family that doesn’t like me or my husband threw us this party. The dad of the family is the reverend of the church that I used to go to and that my husband and daughter still attend. They aren’t really friendly or warm people. I had this vibe that it was more obligatory than something they actually wanted to do. And I said a few things to subconsciously push people away like I do at the shower. I regret that but I also feel very bitter and angry and hurt that these people did this. Like they got to check off on their personal moral list that they did something kind for someone they don’t like and aren’t interested in. Also my husband’s boss’s wife also helped organize this party and I felt that I couldn’t say no. They just texted me one day, we’re having a shower for you and will let you know some dates you can choose from. I’m feeling really depressed and upset about it. Thankfully we got to hang out with another family that we love after the shower and that helped me not to spiral. Also, I want to add that these people are status people. They want to hang out with their kind and they want to be with people they like. It’s so cliquey. It’s so typical church and it really upsets me.

Sorry, havn't added a flair as none of them really suited this post. Have tried posting this on other subreddits and got either next to no advice or removed, so let's see how it goes here.
It's become apparent to me over the past few months that I definitely have a type. The only way I can describe it is 'the dominant type'. The type that get their way, the one that wears the pants. They're usually pretty extroverted, in some cases even popular. Only, I don't want that to be my type because I'm the exact opposite. Introverted, caring, wear my heart on my sleeve etc. I've had feelings for more than one person you could describe as this, and each and every time I not only got my heart broken, but in some cases became even more mentally scarred than I already am.
Yet I still find myself attracted to them, and I really don't know why. I've seen some say that it can be because one's mother was like that, I don't know that could be possible. But my therapist said during one of my sessions 'introverts usually tend to be attracted to extroverts'. Following that up with 'victims of bullying tend to find themselves attracted to bullies, because its all they've known'.
Whilst I don't agree with that, because why would you want to go further towards what screwed you up, for some reason it also makes sense. I can definitely forsee an introvert going towards what they've always yearned to be (not the bully, the extrovert). And as I said in my last post about me avoiding someone because of my insecurities, I was mercilessly bullied. So when you're as mentally screwed up as I am or worse, I guess I can kinda see why you'd go towards what you've always known, or you believe you deserve. As sad as that is. To me, that does seem like the most logical explanation.
I've found myself attracted to someone you can describe as this yet again. And unfortunately, they're both the dominant type and, allegedly, a bully. At least an ex one.
I know I would NEVER date them, even if I did have a chance (which I doubt). Like I said they have all the personality traits that I know for a fact would never work with me, I ain't too keen on the idea of being bossed around and at the whim of someone. Wrapped around someone's little finger. I also keep asking myself, with my mental issues (now diagnosed), could I see myself talking about all my problems to this person, crying on their shoulder? I doubt it. To top it all off, they also have a partner.
But, not gonna lie, I find them damn attractive. Again, I have no idea why. They're far from a 10, but they have their good points. My best guess is it's the personality, as someone I know said 'people like that are cool' and I have to concur. But I just can't shake the bad parts, and stop thinking about my bad history with those types either.
It's really effected me mentally the last, I'd say six months. What made it worse is I'd see them at least once a week, thus I was almost constantly reminded of it because it wouldn't go away during the inbetween. I'd actually throw up after dealing with them, I'd get a feeling in my stomach and know it was coming. What's crazy is I've NEVER done that over anyone else, and I've had some big crushes (in a lot of cases on similar types of people). I had no idea anxiety could do that to you.
Probably admitting more than I should to the internet here, but oh well. Good thing this is a throwaway. Towards the end of last year, I broke down crying to my mates talking about one of the bullies who did some of the worst things to me. And while I think it was mainly because of that, and also because I was unloading a lot to them (I'd never really talked about my mental stuff to them before), I have no doubt this was somewhere in the back of my mind. These last few months have been hard.
I have a temporary reprieve from them due to circumstances (doesn't mean it's off my mind though). I know however that there's a good chance I will be back to dealing with them before long. Don't get me wrong, aside from being reminded of this I do enjoy dealing with them. But not gonna lie, I'm terrified of what might happen if I go back to dealing with them and these feelings aren't gone. Is it back to throwing up again? Sorry to cuss, but fuck that.
Anyway, I've rambled too much. What do y'all think? What is the cause of this? How do I best go about it going forward? How do I get over this person? How do I find what is for me?

So I F55 have been single, living with ex (paranoid hoarder) for a few years. It was exhausting & constant stress. We all know what clutter does to an aspie!! I finally had enough & decided to move closer to my kids&grans 1200 miles away. Ex moved out. I've been trying to pack my stuff (imagine trying to find my stuff in the hoard) bought a shuttle to live in/haul my stuff, still had the exs cats, dog, for months. I've had 2 surgeries in the past 6 months, both pushed my timeline further back. I've dealt with all of this ALONE. It's just been chaos & I'm really pushing myself. I have a 4 hr round trip commute, on top of an 8 hr work shift, 5 days a week. A friend there, invited me to a FB group to maybe meet some more friends there before hand. I got a few responses & over a period of a few months, 1 in particular, (F62) were seeing each other. She came to visit. Visit went fantastic. I understand she's a manager type personality & was fine with that, until I told her I am Aspie. Within a few days, I was being instructed on how to deal with bosses, friends, finances, when to work on my resume, tasks, chores, etc. I occasionally get overwhelmed & take a night off from tasks. I had set Mem Day as my "goal" tho kept the reality of rain, & things not working as planned (I had a date to get hitch installed, they screwed up reservation, & rescheduled next week) perfect example! I was planning on driving my shuttle down, coming back for camy dog. SHE decided, to buy a plane ticket for Mem wknd, to drive my car down for me. She's never pulled a trailer, nor dealt with midwest storms. She would also have my dog in that car. When I mentioned the given time frame, she dismissed it. My concerns: The shuttle is older and may break down. It's custom, so finding parts may take weeks. I also brought up midwest storms, her response was "its just rain we will keep going". I brought up straight line wind, derechos, etc. Was still blown off. So now my stress & anxiety are peaking. Monday night, we chatted until late, Tuesday, i had a texted a typo, & she was offended I didn't fix it. I had a horrendous busy day. She texted that I must be busy. I said yes. Note: that was all the text I got from her as well all day. When I left work, I texted that I was out. Didn't get the typical "drive safe" response. I texted that I got home. I got 'yay' in response. I then get voice message telling me she can't imagine how much stress im under, she doesn't want to be my stressor, etc. She offers me a night off of our nightly chat so I can decompress. I'm thinking omg she's amazing, thank you ty TY! Then... she sends me a vm of how I'm exhibiting VERY BAD passive aggressive behavior, full of red flags, she's going to take this as a concern, etc. I apologize & say today Im overwhelmed. Now I'm being told, she was upset about my typo, I didn't fix my typo, I didn't text much, how that made her feel ghosted, that her gut was right that I was bullshit, that I'm just too immature to handle what she has to offer. At this point, after a very long stressful day, I'm in critical shut down. I reject calls- texts, tho the texts come in nose to tail. Constant voice messages,texts, emails, voice mail,... I'm just here panicking in silence. So she starts harassing my adult daughter. I tell my daughter to block her. Now the accusations start. Then threatening to visit my elderly (80+) neighbors, (she's been to my place - driveways line up, she know where they live they are my only neighbors) harass THEM until I conform. (PS: she works with the elderly) & she can't see why I now don't want anything to do with her.

-Until I hear different, I am flying out Saturday the 25th. I will get an Uber to your mom and dad's house because I have the address and we're gonna figure this shit out.

-I will constantly call you until I have an answer. That's the bottom line. Don't be a fucking pussy.
-Do you like women to chase you because you were fucked up? Do you really like that or do you like togive amends so it could be done?

Date [standardized human time]: November 4th, 2136
If it wasn't for the clearly artificial sky above my head someone could possibly convince me I was outside in a new park. The neon blue screen with a white dot to represent the sun was nothing like the actual pale gray visage a mile above. Yet, it did have an enjoyable warmth to it.
A smooth artificial wind swept through the saplings ensuring that they would develop healthy stress wood. It also pleasantly cooled the fur of anyone in here, providing a nice little respite from the heater simulating the sun's unbearable hatred of us. Fuck you fake sun!
Any flora used to decorate the park would be exotic to Frozen Mountain, even if it came from the nearby tundra, but my humans decided to do something interesting. While they had covered most of the ground with a soft short-growing Terran clover, they chose to make the rest of the decorative plants functional. All of the saplings were different types of fruit trees that, when mature, would be free for anyone to harvest as much as they want. Even the decorative topiary isn't hardy tasteless plants, but berry bushes that would provide a variety of sweet treats relatively soon.
Agurcorp was more than happy to allow its failed startup out here to be turned into a local park. Well, so long as they didn't have to pay for this expensive mistake of theirs. The Mayor was all too happy with this, especially since my humans were happy to let him have all the credit so long as they got to design the park. With voting season right around the corner, the Mayor that ‘Brought life to this blighted land’ was a shoo-in to get re-elected. Or would be if he also wasn't ‘The idiot who allowed predators into the city.’
With everything that's happened I am still a bit surprised at everyone currently enjoying the park. A small herd of Venlil are exercising in the open field. A family of Gojids are walking along the cobblestone path. All the while, some humans are playing a very weird game of throwing a round plastic plate into chain nets. It's almost as if this city didn't have two separate riots on the same day.
The sound of wheels traveling across a bumpy path caught my attention. I glanced across the way to see an embarrassed-looking John driving an electric wheelchair over to me. His eyes locked onto mine before quickly switching to the ground. He tried to laze in a chair designed to enforce good posture and looked rather silly as he adjusted himself.
He came to a stop just a foot away from where I sat, “Hey Silv… I, uh… I don't actually need the wheelchair but Mikvia threatened to break my legs if I didn't use it, so I'm just humoring her.”
Oh, don't freaking tell me. Why are humans like this… “John… you were hospitalized with a punctured lung. Sure, doctors have some miracles they can perform these days, but you know you shouldn't be stressing yourself by walking.”
He huffed, “Please, I'm fine. Really. It wasn't as serious as everyone is making it out to be.”
I thumped my hind paw against the ground, “John.”
He threw his hands into the air with a huff, “I'm in the damn wheelchair ain't I? Gawd…”
He grasped his nose before calming down, “I apologize. Shouldn't have raised my voice like that. I mean… I am using the wheelchair and not lifting stuff. Doctor's orders. They even said getting out in this park would be fine. Said it might even help!”
We let out a deep sigh together. I hopped down from my bench and back up onto his lap, “Let's go for a ride… while we figure… us out…”
I could see John's guard drop as the exhaustion crept back onto his face, “...alright...” He pressed his controls forward, and we slowly began our first lap of the park.
John wrapped one of his lanky ape arms around me like a fleshy seatbelt and I laid my head on his chest appreciating the contrast of his warmth with the cool artificial breeze. I could have slept like this. The beating of his heart was rhythmic, and his deep breaths sounded a bit like waves washing up on a shore.
I even heard his heart quicken as I cleared my throat, “So… we aren't really dating are we?”
His exhaustion was quickly replaced with unease as he started to fidget a little, “I'm sorry…”
I held his hand and stared into the ocean blue eyes of his, “Don't be sorry. I think we were both drunk when we agreed to go on a date…”
He shook his head, “I still should have said something before then.”
It wasn't like I couldn't have taken the initiative and talked to him sooner too, “I know you were going through a lot. Actually, I know you still are… I'm really only able to guess but… Are you one of the types that thinks Xeno-dating is weird?”
He looked ashamed as he scrambled to smooth things over, “I- No- well, yes- but- it's just… ok. Let me start over… alright… yeah… so… uhm… the thing is… how do I put this… it sounds bad… well, it is bad… it’s just…”
My tail wagged involuntarily at the rather cute display of embarrassment radiating from John. I leaned in and let him have a doey-eyed look to help heap the embarrassment on.
It felt like John tried to stop the next words from rolling out of his mouth, “Sometimes I have trouble thinking of you all as people.”
John came to a complete stop as I just stared at him wide-eyed. My brain struggled to grasp what he was saying and the implications of it. He cringed and covered his face with his hands, “Gawd, that sounds horrible. It's just… It's not as bad with you and the others… I talk to y’all a lot. It's easier for it to click that you are people too.”
I was desperately trying to see this from his angle, “Wha- why does this happen in the first place?”
His hands drug down his face trying to drag the flesh with it, “I think it’s cause you are always naked. Like your back brace helps a little bit, but still everything else is… That and I hear your voice and the chip in my head then gives it meaning. Like its disjointed. Then it's the way your body language works and- and- fuck. Just…. Fuck me man. I don't even think that's all that's wrong with me. It’s just… like you look, sound, and smell like animals. It's just not really what my mind had in place for aliens. So- like- ugh! Why can't I just explain it!?”
It's difficult to explain, but his words connected to a deep sad memory, “It's like everything is just too… slightly wrong…”
It felt like I had been whisked back decades to my own childhood. I could still smell the bleached halls of the Venlil orphanage on Nevis. My heart whimpered when the Sivkits who came to adopt me shuddered with fear and disgust. Their strange voices sounded slow as they spoke a strange version of Klipic. Like hearing a pale imitation of yourself, try and pretend to be just like you.
My eyes locked with his as I carried on “It’s like you look at them and a part of you knows what they are, but your brain just snaps back to… to what you think reality is.”
I could see a glimmer of hope well up with his tears, “Y-you know? I-Iv've felt like such a monster! How can I- How can I look them in the eyes when they took me in and say- say- that I can't see them as people sometimes!? After everything they've done for me?! They want to adopt me and I- I- I can't even!”
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he buried his face in mine. It felt like he could crush me with his arms, yet they held me gently. What was causing me pain was this damn back brace. The blasted thing was trying to force my arms down while it hunched me over. I wiggled out of John's embrace and ripped the freaking thing off and chucked it as far as I could before burying myself in his embrace again.
We held each other as he drew in shuddering breaths and let his emotions flow out. John’s grip eventually began to loosen and we both took a moment to calm down. I gently tugged at the shirt covering John's torso, “So… Us not wearing clothes constantly is… disconnecting for you?”
He nodded his head, “Y-yeah… It’s like… every person I have ever known wears clothes. Animals never wear clothes and at most wear like a collar or harness if someone owns them. Then a few months ago, a bunch of nudist aliens show up and… well, my brain lops them into the animal category and the translator isn't helping.”
I glanced down at my body and suddenly felt… exposed, “So now that I am no longer wearing clothes…”
He cringed, “You look more like a large rabbit thing than a person… when you had the brace on it helped a little, but you were on all fours… When you were wearing your weather suit and had your hood off, It felt like you were a person, just different.”
An idea crossed into my skull, “Ok then… so your brain attaches personhood with a level of nudity, body plan, and familiarity… take your shirt off and give it to me- Don't give me that look! I know you’re male and are far less sensitive about people seeing your nipples. So gimme.”
He begrudgingly took off his shirt, revealing a pelt of fur that caught me off guard. I shook off the confusion as I slipped his shirt overhead and stuck my arms through the sleeves. It immediately tried to slip down my body and off. Mostly due to how large the hole for his head is, but also due to my utter lack of true shoulders. Another gift of my freak mutation. The ability to walk upright as well as sprint on all fours like a fucking Arxur.
I bunched up the collar and knotted it on itself, solving the slipping issue. With a small twirl, I spun in a circle, “So how is this?”
A smile formed on his face, “You look adorable!”
I happily flicked my tail, “Is that girlfriend adorable or pet animal adorable?”
His grin beamed with happy, mischievous energy, “Little sister adorable.”
I stomped my hind paw again, “Wha- why?!”
He held out his arms and I hopped back into his embrace, “Its cause it's my shirt. Jamie would wear my clothes sometimes, and they were so baggy on him, and well… on you that's practically a sundress! … you’d look really nice in like… a yellow sundress with like a straw hat.”
My mind tried and failed to make an image to match his description, “Hrm… well… I wouldn't know where to even start getting a… sundress.”
John carried on like clothes shopping was a normal intergalactic thing, “You would have to go to a tailor and have it custom-made. Like you already had to adjust my shirt cause you don't have shoulders like we or the Gojids do.”
We sat in a comfortable silence as John started the wheelchair back on its path. I almost fell asleep in his arms before I asked, “So… Are we dating?”
John didn't hesitate to bend over and freaking bite the top of my head! I, rather fruitlessly, slapped my paws against his face as fast as I could and only managed to elicit a laugh from him. Jumping up, I got a mouth full of his cheek in my teeth.
I made sure not to crush as I mimicked what he had done to me back, “Ah! The turns! They've tabled! I'm sorry! We're dating! Augh!” I spit out the lump of flesh between my teeth and sat down rather proudly.
It was only then I looked around to see most of the nearby groups staring at us. As well as three silver suited flame whack jobs walking our way. One of them held up his paws to try and seem as big as possible, “YOU! PREDATORS! DON'T MOVE!”
John growled at them, “YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?”
The trio froze in their steps and reached for weapons they didn't have. The boldest one took another step forward and shouted, “SHUT UP PREDATOR!”
John held his issued jacket up, letting the reflective emblem of the guild shine for all to see, “I WORK WITH YOU NUMB NUTS! I'M JOHN! ADOPTED SON OF YOUR FUCKING CHIEF! RING ANY BELLS?”
The trio halted in their tracks and the most skittish of them turned a one-eighty on their paws and began to walk away. The boldest one’s paws slowly dropped, “J-John?! I- I've never seen you without the mask or artificial pelt… wait! You're supposed to be in the hospital!”
Johns voice grew cold, “They said I could go out around the park so long as I mostly stayed in the chair. If it pleases you, you can talk to Loke. He's right over there with his wife and two kids. I bet he'd be thrilled to learn you three are going around accusing people of being predators.”
The bold moron took a fearful half step back, “D-d-d-d-don't twist my words! You bit her and she bit you back! I have witnesses! That's predatory!”
John leaned back and stroked the fur on my cheek, “No, it’s erotic.”
I could see the gears turning in the bold one's head grind, “What.”
John pressed his lips into my neck, “Ya know… sexy. It’s like… gently grooming your significant other's neck from behind but more playful.”
They looked revolted, “That's disgusting.”
John cocked his head to the side like a confused Gojid, “That’s odd.”
The look of revulsion quickly transitioned back to confusion, “What?”
A smirk grew on John's face as his fingers massaged into the sore muscles on my back, “It's just, that’s exactly what your mom said last night, but she grew to like it.”
I slapped my paws to my mouth to avoid laughing as the rage flared up in the bold one's eyes, “WHAT!?”
I let out a happy purr as John began to work at my sore muscles and utterly humiliate the idiot bothering us, “Yeeeeah. You weren't supposed to find out like this, but I'm your dad now.”
Their ears pinned back in rage, “You're lying to me.”
John waved a hand at our surroundings, “We are in a hermetically sealed park. There is no way for any significantly threatening animal to get in here. You are only here looking for trouble and I assure you, this will be looked into. Go clean your nose and keep it clean. Understood?”
They both tucked their tails, “Understood, sir.”
John nodded his head and calmed his tone, “Dismissed.”
As the trio of troublemakers left, we sat in relative silence as John continued to work away at the stress in my muscles. If you proved this was how humans prepared their food before eating it, I would argue that it's still worth it.
His rough voice messaged my ears, “Hey Silv?”
I stretched and enjoyed the pops my spine made as it took its natural shape, “Hrm?”
A hint of curiosity hung in his voice, “Why did you understand what I meant? Shouldn't… You've lived with aliens being a part of everyday life for… Like… ever right?”
I slumped against John and thought. Dredging up old memories that I almost wished I didn't have, “It was… a very long time ago. My doctor told me I was making up false memories to cover up a traumatic event and make it to where I was normal and everyone around me were the weird ones…”
I could hear John doubt my doctor's claims, “That sounds… fishy.”
Despite John's odd word choice, the meaning still fit perfectly, “It feels like it, but I just have no proof. I swear to you, I remember running along a beach, with my parents on two legs. Every Sivkit I knew as a child walked on two legs. It’s like… well…”
I grabbed John's hand to stop it from distracting me, “One day I woke up, and I was unbelievably cold. I thought I was a corpse. There was this strange… tentacle thing with bulgy eyes standing above me. His words didn't match his lips, but I understood him. It was terrifying.”
“He scooped me up and started running. Said I was in grave danger, and he was going to keep me safe. I didn't trust him one bit. He jumped into some strange ship and told me I had to be very quiet. The bad people would attack us if they heard either of us talking.”
“Eventually, he crashed the ship into something and pulled me out of it. I was surprised to see we had been on a submarine that entire time. That and the sky was the wrong color. I didn't even have an opportunity to think about it as he carried me to a weird looking vehicle that once again surprised me as a giant wall turned into a window.”
“I had never even heard of spaceships before, and I watched as we went up and just moved into space like it was nothing. He tried to calm me down, but he told me my parents were dead. I- just remember sobbing in his tentacles for hours. Eventually, I calmed down enough for him to play with me.”
“For a few days it was just me and him. Then we met up with another ship, and he left that one to drift in the void. He said we were meeting his friend Aylin on Nevis… a Venlil colony not too far from here, actually. I got to meet more aliens on that ship but Kalova- sorry that was the name of the Kolshian who took me out here. Kalova didn't want me to talk about anything to anyone. Said to just say I was his adopted daughter, and he just got a job on Nevis managing the new colony.”

“I was in that pod for three days before the Venlil found me and put me in an orphanage. Every time I met other Sivkits… they made my skin crawl. There's something wrong with all of them. I swear to you, we Sivkits are supposed to walk on two legs. We also aren't supposed to be that… stupid. Between how they talk being just… off, and the fact what they said was often either retarded or downright wrong, I couldn't ever feel like one of the so-called Grand Herd.”
“Eventually, I aged out. Graduated college, top of my class. And started working out here when they began to rebuild my plant after it burned down. That’s all there… Well, there is more, but It's not actually relevant to your question.”
John leaned down and kissed the top of my head, “Thank you for sharing that with me.”
I groomed the tip of his nose in return, “You're welcome. … Hey John?”
I could see a small bit of… hope in the back of his eyes, “Yes Silv?”
“Can you tell me about your past?”
He frowned as memories came back to him, yet he smiled still. “Yeah… it’s not a happy story either.”
I pressed myself into him, “Well… we can both be sad together, at least.”
John's hands began to absentmindedly work through my fur again, “Yeah… That doesn't sound as bad.”

John and Silvera finally had the relationship talk! Woooooo! John's confessed something he'd rather never bring up, but knows he needs to address to start living a happy life with his new family. Aaaaand, It's time for Silvera’s tragic backstory! (Trademark pending). Strange names though, right? Kalova… weird how John's old boss has a missing brother with the same name as an alien Ivan the Arxur knows! And Aylin… strange they share a name with Talen's dead wife! Man that's just weird!

Je suis dans un taff dans lequel je dois rédiger beaucoup de documents et parfois je suis amené à reprendre des modèles pour aller plus vite.
En soi je bosse plutôt bien et mon responsable est content de moi, mais le gros problème que j'ai c'est que j'ai une manie de laisser des erreurs d'inattention : erreur sur la date, faute dans le nom du client sur tout le document, j'oublie modifier les titres du modèle, j'oublie de modifier le domicile, je laisse sans faire exprès une partie qui n'a rien à voir avec le dossier mais qui était dans le modèle initial...
Bref malgré que je me débrouille plutôt bien sur le fond, il y a TOUJOURS des fautes d'inattention qui gâchent tout. Ça me pourrit mon travail parce que malgré mon ancienneté mon supérieur est obligé de tout relire derrière moi (et il constate des erreurs d'inattention 95% du temps) et au final c'est comme si pour chaque travail que je fais, bah c'est pas bon en fait.
Bien sûr je me relis mais malgré ça il y a toujours des erreurs qui persistent. Et puis j'ai l'impression de ne jamais être très concentré quand je me relis aussi qui doit jouer.
Ça me pèse beaucoup et j'ai juste l'impression de ne faire que de la merde :/
C'est pourquoi je fais appel à vous, pour savoir si certains ont ou ont eu ce problème et quelles sont les solutions possibles.

I, (24F) want to leave my boyfriend (26M) but I don’t know how to go about it. What can I do to get out of this mess?
I met my boyfriend H when we were 18 and 19 respectively. We met in highschool officially but never really interacted until after graduation. A mutual friend of mine dated H before but they had a really bad breakup, and when I started dating H, I lost several friends over that. Things were great for a few years minus the few common early adult relationship problems (who pays for what, etc) and lack of responses while gaming. That sort of thing. We moved in together two years ago in his parent’s home, of which we stayed in a basement room that had a door to the outside and paid rent and helped with groceries and that sort of thing. In January of 2023, his father passed away. Prior to this, he was a waiter at a BBQ place in our town. After his father passed away, he never returned from his bereavement leave and subsequently lost his job due to lack of contact with the boss. Since then, he has had maybe two jobs that lasted about two weeks before he would quit again. I have to get into huge fights with him before he will do anything around the apartment we now rent with our dog. He spends all his time on his Xbox and on Discord or sleeping. He doesn’t complement me, he doesn’t offer to help me with anything, and he refuses to leave the house to do anything with or for me. Yes, he has been in therapy since his father passed, but currently it’s doing nothing and any talk of switching therapists falls on deaf ears. We’re constantly fighting about housework, he’ll cry and talk about suicide, and then he’ll feel so bad about the fight he’ll do ONE chore before repeating the process. I’ve tried making him lists, I’ve tried reminding him several times while I’m at work, I’ve even tried setting timers and reminders on our Alexa. He just blatantly will not do anything. The straw that’s been breaking us lately is he stopped showering on a regular basis. He went over a month without showering and two weeks ago I got so fed up I shut off the internet so he couldn’t play Xbox to FINALLY convince him to shower. I thought driving him to his therapy appointments and things like that would help at the beginning and I do know he has some mental health concerns but good god, it’s not working.
About a month or two ago, a coworker of mine started texting me on WhatsApp, which he found me in a work group chat I’m in (I work fast food, not naming names, but it rhymes with Starby’s) and we hit it off. Previously, I would open with him (I’ll call him T) and we would just crack jokes and goof around (while doing our jobs, of course). In the work group chat I had said “Ughh, my face is breaking out. I don’t want to be at window, they’ll drive away from my ugly ass.” And he sent me a text telling me I’m not ugly, I said how, and he told me I’m not too overweight, I’m not too skinny, I have beautiful eyes, and a beautiful smile. After this, we started conversing back and forth but not crossing the risky or flirty territory. One morning during an opening shift, he told me he liked someone and I pressed because I’m nosy. And he eventually said it was me, but didn’t want to cross a line or do anything because I have a boyfriend. This isn’t why I started the breakup plan, but knowing that someone else saw something in me and I wouldn’t be alone 100% after gave me that push I needed. Though I will admit, he is wayyy out of my league and has a smile that makes me want to cry.
About three weeks ago I was hanging out with some friends and my boyfriend got mad, said he was going to text his ex, and I lost it and broke it off with him. Afterwards, he kept saying he was going to go meet his dad and stopped responding. I got a notification (life 360) that he left the apartment so I went over to grab some stuff and I found a note that said I can have all his stuff. I called non emergency and let them know of the situation because my boyfriend has bipolar (T1) and could injure himself. He wasn’t injured at all, which is what the hospital told me, and he refused any further treatment for psychiatric. I ended up going back because his mother started texting me saying my boyfriend ended up telling her that he was going to run away and not come back, and I was scared and worried. I’m an idiot, I know. He was crying and promised he’d do better and how he was going to fix it, but truthfully, I was just tired after dealing with that for 48 hours and wanted a shower and my bed. Now, I want to leave again but not have him pull all of that because I am so far mentally exhausted. I need advice. Help!
TL;DR My boyfriend doesn’t work or clean or shower and I want to kick him out and leave him but I don’t want him to harm himself.

I love music, and I'd love to use it to make stressful moments less stressful and to help me focus on whatever I'm working on, but I get the opposite results.
When I'm trying to read for an exam or do some homework while listening to music, a lot of the songs I'm listening to, trigger some emotions or memories and I get absorbed. I have to stop whatever I'm doing, close my eyes and just enjoy the rest of the song until it's over. I can't focus while my mind is getting emotional and trying so hard to listen to the song. It's either, stop and enjoying it, or dont stop and ruin the enjoyment while also losing focus on your studies.
When I try to use it at work or in any other stressful environment, I feel like I ruin the songs. They do make the moment better, but then, the next time I listen to the song, I can only feel the stress of the last time i listened to them. I remember my problems at work, how annoying my boss is, or they simply make me feel uneasy and anxious. It's like whatever a song made me feel or remember was overwritten by that negative experience.
The way I enjoy music is when I listen to it as an activity. It could be at night when I'm relaxed before bed, at the park or when I'm taking a walk, when I want to share it with someone, to make a good moment even better, or maybe I'm feeling nostalgic or rememberd a song I like, so I put on my headphones, or turn on the speakers (when I'm alone cause I don't like when people interrupt it), I take a sit or lay in bed, if I plan on doing it for a while, I may grab some snacks or take a smoke, then I start listening music.
Maybe I'm too "sensitive" to music? Idk. I think I got it from my dad. A little story here. Back when he and my mom were dating, my dad asked her to meet up at her place to listen to music. My mom thought he meant they would play some music while chatting, or doing whatever, but my dad literally showed up with his collection of CDs and CD player. My mom tells me "I dont get it, he was just sitting there listening to music. That was all we did!" she's still confused to this day which is very funny, but I totally understand him.
It's guess it's kinda weird to be like this, but to me, working or studуing while listening to music is the weird thing. Does anyone else feel the same way? If you do, I'd like to know if you know a way to make it work.

I am a per diem employee working at a hospital. I am currently looking for a 2nd job for more hours and benefits. I was offered an interview and they asked for professional references, specifically my direct supervisors. My current job is my first professional job so I had to list my current boss. I let him know ahead of time and he responded, “Ok, Please submit your two weeks notice asap once you know the dates.” It was followed by another message that he unsent and I wasn’t able to see. I was disappointed that he responded like that, as if he wants me to quit but didn’t think too much into it after that. My coworkers think differently and are suggesting I report it to HR because it is an unprofessional and rude response. I agree it is not a good response but it is unprofessional? Should I report it to HR?
