I am [21F] and was raised in an Indian household. My parents are somewhat conservative/strict and interrogate everything I want to do. They are nice to me but they snap really quickly at me when I disagree with them.
For context, I went to a college outside of my hometown and I made a dumb plan of graduating early. I’m an electrical engineering major. I failed a couple classes because I rushed things and now at the summer of 2024 I have one class left (senior project II) which I can only take in the fall in-person. I live in a big city (don’t want to share my state’s name) and the class is located in another big city 200 miles away. This summer I am at my parents house not taking any classes.
I don’t want to be at my parents house at all, I want to be independent and live on my own. I love university because I love partying, hanging with friends, having sex with guys, wearing what I like, and living by my own schedule. At my parents house I have no friends and whenever I want to do something like even go out for a walk they won’t give me space.
I tried looking for internships outside of town but no luck. The only one I got was the remote internship which I worked for the last two years (summers). The last two summers were total hell. I was called a “fat bitch” for wanting to wear regular summer clothes and before that I was called dumb for refusing to hangout with a guy they wanted me to date. I had no friends those summers and every time I was around my parents (they pretty much wfh).
I don’t want to work the remote one because they will extend me a co-op and then full time and my parents will say the most logical thing for me to do financially is stay at their place. I am pretending like the remote job rejected me. I asked them if I can move to the town my class is offered in a month earlier but they said it’s an illogical move. My dad keeps nagging me to look online for remote positions and my mom keeps pushing me to talk to employers in town. All I want is to move out and not live with them. My dad even said that I want to move out because I have a boyfriend in the town my class is offered in. It’s nothing like that. All throughout high school I’ve been deprived of a normal American teen live. I finally lived it in college and now my life is gone again. My dad even said what’s wrong with being at home, we let you eat what you want as if eating is the only thing in my life.
I don’t have a car nor am I added on my parents insurance. I have a drivers license though and around 20k saved up. I’ll probably be stuck here for the rest of my life or at least for my youth. My entire 21 and 22 years are probably going to be at home rotting away. I’ll never meet men in the next five years. I’ll have no friends and no drama or anything interesting in my life. Sometimes I wonder if studying a hard degree was worth it. I feel like just ending everything. Even if i get a job out of town that’s in person my parents may not let me go. My mom is also fixated on me marrying an Indian man and she’s after the ones who don’t like me and have a no personality.

I have a university degree in graphic design and although I don't really enjoy GD per say I love illustration and animation. I've been a freelance illustrator for a few years but haven't really had much work on. Have been doing barestaurant work part time to pay the bills. This was okay as I was slowly progressing with my work and getting better and better at it. Ideal job would probably be some kind of illustrator or concept/developmental artist for games.
In janurary i got diagnosed with something that makes bar&restaurant work near on impossible for me due to the pain. I need something non physical and ideally remote. A remote graphic design or illustration job would be literally perfect but I've been applying for jobs in it for around a year and have only had one interview.
My partner earns around 50k and I really am just aiming for anything above 21k right now to get into the industry. Been applying for junior roles even though I'd place myself higher than that and even those I'm not hearing back on.
Applied for remote call Center roles as I had one a few years ago which was okay for 6 months to increase my funds but am not even hearing back from them!
We're saving for a house and wanting to start a family within the next few years due to my condition so I can have healthy pregnancies but want a job to build up my funds. I left my bar job in late February and have been unemployed but started a new one last week. I still cannot manage it with the pain which I find incredibly frustrating as I quite enjoy bar work (except for the unsociable hours I hate that part of it)
I'm half thinking about becoming a tattoo artist as once I've done the apprenticeship it's good money but it's hard to get apprenticeships and there aren't many shops near me. (I live in the middle of no where in the Uk with one town nearby) but I know I would enjoy being a tattoo artist.

31 F, southern US here. I messed up my 20s badly due to undiagnosed autism and not knowing how to deal with things correctly + no parental guidance. Out of high school I had a free ride to university and dropped out early due to mental health issues. I didn’t know how financial aid worked and was afraid of loans so I just worked various dead-end jobs for years thinking I could never return to school since I lost my scholarships. At 27 I finally got over my fear and went back to community college for an associate’s degree in web development. It was so easy, I graduated with a 4.0 but I legitimately cannot really code at a professional level. I applied to a few places but I quickly lost motivation after receiving some interviews that went nowhere, or receiving coding tests that were extremely above my level.
I looked into getting a bachelor’s degree in computer science only to learn that almost none of my credits would transfer to university. Also my credits from AP tests I took in high school have apparently expired. I have to start from square zero. I have a job and make money but part of me is disappointed. I want to be proud of my job I guess. If I start over and graduate at around 36, is it worth the debt to try to get a job nearing 40? I’m thinking of getting into copy-editing since they seem to have a lot of remote work. I’ve honestly lost interest in coding but open to adjacent work, just not sure what that looks like. Please let me know if you have experience with this! Thanks in advance

A week ago, someone asked why “divestment from IDF contracts is so difficult.” After the actions, suspensions, and arrests of last week, I have also wondered why protestors and MIT’s administration did not reach an agreement. Here’s an effort to explain it.
I’m looking to read the protest demands carefully and generously, then consider MIT’s constraints generously. My conclusion is that if the core demands had broad support on campus—and I can't say whether they do or do not—there are still principled, consistent reasons MIT could not agree to them.
Please add anything I’ve missed about the SAGE and MIT positions in the comments. Factual corrections or additional details are appreciated.
(If you’re here for hot takes, you’re in the wrong thread. I’m not saying what MIT should do about the demands, and I'm not sharing opinions about student protests or MIT's response. Please feel welcome to share your opinions about these in other posts about these topics.)
The demands
The core demands of the Scientists against the Genocide Encampment (SAGE) are:

1. The immediate termination of two active faculty contracts with the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMoD)
2. A ban on future faculty contracts with IMoD.[1]

The protestors identified these contracts in the MIT Brown Books, which provide detailed information about all sponsored research projects on campus. SAGE states specific concerns about an active research project on “autonomous robotic swarms,” which they say can be used to “target Gazan citizens or American protestors.”[1] I have not found specific stated concerns about the other project, “Field-capable Bacterial Biosensors with Hyperspectral Reporters for Remote Detection of Analytes of Interest.”[3]
The demands propose to terminate current funding, but would not stop the existing projects themselves. SAGE states the two active projects can proceed with alternative funding.[2] SAGE has also said a process to limit human rights risks or restrict foreign military research would only be satisfactory if it ends these two contracts with immediate effect.[2]
Two facts about these demands have been widely misreported. First, the contracts appear to be funded by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), not IMoD.[4] As the “direct sponsor,” IMoD chooses which research proposals to fund at U.S. universities. DoD involvement does not appear to be an important consideration to SAGE. I suspect, but don't know for certain, that ending contracts with a primary government funder could create complications for MIT.
Second, SAGE has said that “more than $11M” has been funded through DoD/IMoD since 2015.[1][3] But once multi-year awards are deduplicated in the data they have published, they amount since 2015 is closer to $3.4 million.[4] The cost of SAGE’s core demands—which is the unspent balance of the two remaining grants—is not publicly reported by SAGE or MIT. However, this direct cost does not seem to be a material issue for either side.
Conflicts between the demands and MIT’s research policy
Meeting protestors’ central demands would require MIT to do something it has not done before: electively ban faculty from working with a specific sponsor. Doing this would conflict with the MIT faculty’s longstanding position on “research freedom,” which A) lets faculty freely choose collaborators and topics and B) limits university intervention when their research faces criticism.[5][6]
Consistent with research freedom, MIT has not previously banned sponsors or ended research contracts except when required by U.S. law. For example, when many MIT faculty said that MIT sever ties with the Saudi kingdom after the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, MIT did not terminate any Saudi-affiliated research contracts.[5] MIT has similarly rejected calls to stop faculty research contracts with fossil fuel industry partners.
MIT’s faculty and administration have taken related public positions favoring “research openness,” including for sponsors in host countries criticized for human rights concerns like Russia and China.[5][6] These positions assert that science requires open collaboration even during foreign policy conflicts. MIT recently reaffirmed its position on openness as Congress considered new limits on U.S.-China research collaboration.[7]
SAGE argues that research freedom was disregarded in February 2022, when MIT terminated a $100M/year collaboration agreement with Russia’s Skoltech after the Russian army invaded Ukraine.[1][8] However, as a broad, organization-level partnership between MIT and Skoltech, the agreement did not implicate faculty research freedom as SAGE’s demands do.[8] MIT continues to allow faculty to work with Russian sponsors and collaborators, although U.S. State Department sanctions now restrict research collaborations with many Russian institutions, including Skoltech.[9]
The Saudi and Skoltech decisions show MIT's stubborn commitment to faculty research freedom, even when human rights concerns are broadly held in the MIT community. MIT exercises more discretion over non-research funding, like direct partnerships and gifts. But unless required by U.S. law or foreign policy, MIT seems unlikely to create tailored bans on faculty research sponsors.
Other policy limits on military-sponsored campus research
MIT’s existing rules for campus research limit how military-sponsored research can be conducted, but not the collaborators or subjects faculty can choose. Research projects:

• must be publishable without restriction.
• cannot require students to work on classified topics.
• cannot exclude researchers by country of origin.[10]

These rules practically limit the military projects that can happen on campus. For instance, no research project could be kept secret from anyone else at MIT. (See [11] for reasons that MIT has focused mostly on research conduct restrictions.)
For sponsors in some countries, MIT applies an “elevated-risk review” to the content of faculty research proposals when the projects could present human rights, U.S. national security, or U.S. economic competitiveness risks.[12] These reviews involve both a faculty committee and senior administrators, and they can result in project modifications, contract changes, or a refusal of MIT support.[4][12] Elevated-risk reviews are not applied to approved research contracts because “the bar for administrative intervention to terminate such projects should be set very high.”[4]
There are at least two reasons an elevated-risk review would not satisfy SAGE's demands. First, the content-independent ban on IMoD contracts that SAGE has proposed does not easily fit with a review process focused that evaluates content-specific risks.
Second, since expanding these reviews would limit faculty research freedom, doing so would normally involve faculty. But getting faculty involved means that changes could not happen immediately, which SAGE has said it cannot accept.

This is kinda like a helpcry but also to rant and get some frustration out. As the title says I want to be on autopilot for a while, I feel like I am losing all my nerves, going insane and any ability to get anything done. I am a student, having my own apartment and (luckily) don't have to work at the moment because I went through chemotherapy (<2 years ago) and am getting insurance money for now. I can't keep up with anything. I can't focus/concentrate on university, even for just one subject, I can't keep my apartment clean or even remotely tidy, I can't feed myself, I struggle with going to sleep, I can't wake up and the only reason I shower twice a week is because I would be too ashamed in front of my bf or when going to university. I know that he tries his best to help me, but he has plenty of his own struggles too, I know that I would exhaust him too much in the long run, at least I can see improvement every ~6 months, but recently I am in a worse headspace again and a lot of the work and energy I worked up to is fading away again. Before my cancer diagnosis I used to (unintentionally) burrow negative feelings and memories in my mind far away, I know its not healthy and in the last two years I tried to face a lot which helped a lot in dealing with my experiences, but right now I feel like I need to lock those thoughts away, "fake it until I make it" to form some lasting habits again in helping me to at least deal with my chores and hygiene. I KNOW that I was/am able to cook everyday/every two days proper meals, to eat roughly 3 meals per day (either in meals or multiple snacks), to feel put together after waking up, to keep my apartment clean or at least tidied up, and I lost all those habits and routines during and after chemotherapy. I try to have some routine in going to university 3 times per week, not being too harsh when I skip things because I know that I am struggling a lot with the niveau, but I also know that it would feel easier if I had routines at home that helped me keep some chaos and disbalance out of my apartment, or if I at least ate everyday 2 meals. My boyfriend can't help a lot, mainly on the weekends.
This was definitely more of a rant, but my request for help still is: what are your tips to get on autopilot for some time, maybe just 2-3 weeks, to ignore stress, panic, anxiety and insanity.

I've never been out of the country. Some friends "convinced" me into going to Europe for a month and a half. There's also some educational conferences pertaining to my degree I can go to while I'm there, in which I'd be sponsored by my university. Those conferences are the ONLY thing that has mildly intrigued me about the trip. Attendance to these gets me out of a few course requirements as well which is killer.
My friends also really want me to go and are super excited and have been pushing and pushing me and I've been going along with it for a few months now. But now the trip is in 3 weeks and I'm dreading spending the money and going through the absolute misery of traveling and airports and ugh. I can't discern what's anxiety and what's not.
For background, not sure if it's relevant, I grew up poor. Global travel was never emphasized in my life or even an option. I did, and do, like taking road trips within my country (US). I know this is so bad and I'd probably be considered narrow minded for saying these things. It's just this has never, ever been a life goal of mine. Not even a consideration. So when I started considering it, and seeing how much goes into travelling at this capacity, I started to panic. I've been through so many anti-anxiety pills. And again, I can't tell if it's just my anxiety telling me I'm not interested and making it seem "lame" (my idea of fun is extreme simple- I don't light extensive sight seeing, tourist stuff, etc.) or just the fact stuff life this has never been on my radar. Not to mention money, again. I hate spending money. But part of this trip is funded by my school.
There is the educational aspect, which like I said has been the only motivating factor for me. But now that I get closer it seems so high cost and so low reward. So many things to get in order: I don't have many clothes (I rotate between like 5 shirts and 3 pants), I own 2 pairs of shoes (non adequate for traveling), I need to pay extra to get my RXs filled early so I have enough for the trip, I takes controlled substances that I can't go without, and the idea of a 10 hour flight there and back (as well as some smaller flights in between) sounds HORRID. I have contamination OCD as well so airports are a nightmare to me. Although I do have the benefit of not having plane anxiety in the sense I'm worried the plane is gonna fall out of the sky and crash. I'm worried about having to ask people to move when I need to go to the bathroom and bring trapped in a tube for 10ish hours.
My thoughts are so disorganized and I'm not at all prepared or remotely excited for this trip. How can I be excited when it might not even be anxiety as the core reason for me not wanting to go? How can I overcome this?
I'm so anxious rn I'm worried about posting this bc of hate I might get for not wanting to travel since I think that's a controversial opinion.
TL;DR: Can't tell what's my anxiety vs what's me genuinely not wanting to go on this trip. Not sure how to cope/overcome this anxiety when I think it's the baseline fact I don't want to go holding me back (but then again, maybe it is anxiety???)

Long story short i am a 25y.o. who dropped out of medschool last month after years of wanting to do so because I was miserable. I suffer from major depressive disorder, anxiety, and OCD; and even though i am under medication and see a psychiatrist every 2 weeks, being in such a cut throat and demanding atmosphere triggered me, so I had to make the decision to leave.
Im currently in the process of applying to a new university for Computer Science but I'm a bit conflicted with the decision. To be honest I picked it because it was the only major that sounded remotely interesting to me and that i could see myself working in the field (as a software engineer) in a couple of years. However, Im a bit worried about the math part of it, i am very hardworking and pretty smart ( i was always top of my class in medschool), so I like to think that if I dedicate enough time to studying, i'll manage just fine. But math has never been my strongest field, its one of the reasons i went into medical school.
My other option was becoming a PT, i thought it was a good idea since i already know a lot about that field and that way I could put all those years of knowledge to good use. However, I'd like to eventually work in the US, and I think you need a doctorate to be licensed (not too sure how that would work) so that would mean even more years of studying and im already going through my quarter life crisis being 25 with nothing to show for it. Also, my mom and brother quickly shut me down and made me feel very discouraged because they said that I would "starve" as a PT and that they make no money. My mom thinks i should go into engineering, although thats probably because my brothers an engineer and does very well for himself.
I dont want to get into a major and end up hating it and being miserable again, but i also dont want a job where i feel unfulfilled. If anyone has any other suggestions im open to hearing them... its been a rough couple of months and i feel like i need to get my life back on track but im a little lost to be honest. (Also, money is not an issue since university is pretty much free in my country and im debt free from my years in medical school).

Hello everyone, this is my first post on Reddit so I’ll try not to waffle on too much.
I grew up once believing that I wanted to be a “Big Hollywood Director”. Growing up in a small village in Scotland, I was recognised for my creativity which led me into making short films with my school friends when my family moved to England when I was 10.
There wasn’t many other people who wanted to make them with me and I grew weary of trying to beg people to help. At this point, Facebook wasn’t around and I was too shy to venture out and network.
Thankfully I was encouraged by my drama teacher at secondary school to make my feature film. The end result was a hack of cliche comedy moments that fell flat against a zombie plot involving the teachers and students of the school. It’s cringey to watch now but I’m glad I was able to make it thanks to the encouragement of my teachers.
This was also during GCSE exams and it’s safe to say, maybe I should have studied more…
Fast forward 10 years, I’ve dropped out of college 3 times on film and tv courses, made another feature film which was distributed by on Amazon Prime, went to University to study film and TV, made a collection of short films, networked with industry professionals, married with two beautiful children and now work remotely from home editing marketing videos and nearly have paid off my mortgage in my early thirties.
As I write this, I am quite proud of my journey and realise I’m quite lucky to have had opportunities such as these.
However, the question I ask myself is… what now?
I enjoy my job, but I sometimes wonder if I should make more of my own content. As a side note, I greatly dislike Tik Tok or anything that shows videos in a fast pace. I’m definitely old school and believe videos should be cherished more at a slower pace to be appreciated instead of over and done within seconds.
I love having a camera in my hand and I’m happy to say I can a shoot, edit and act which aids in my filmmaking. I’m an over-thinker too which can be a gift and a curse in my life.
But I still wonder, should I bother making videos? What’s the purpose now? I don’t chase accolades or fame. I wouldn’t post all over my socials hyping up my projects.
I just enjoy creating… I love the process of it all. I’m not the best writer, but my imagination fuels my drive to create concepts to the make a storyboard of the shots I see in my head.
Some of my favourite films are the ones about underdogs venturing to make their own films because I understand and love the process. It’s fun, collaborative and the memories are timeless.
I suppose what I’m asking is, when I’m not suffering from sleep deprivation from looking after my children with additonal needs.
Should I pursue more of my projects?

We have only now just emerged from the absolute frenzied chaos of having two young toddlers and now that they are 3 and 5, life seems a bit more manageable again. We have only recently come up for air.
Perhaps we had just become so accustomed to caring for our needs and wants last that we, or I, rather have put any type of self care or indulgence completely on the backburner and just put my head down and worked my butt off the past two years to get to an SVP role at my company, and my husband is also very successful in his role, and we have a fortunately substantial combined income.
So who has my husband been talking to after he came to me Sunday morning and told me to clear out my schedule for Tuesday afternoon for a NO LIMIT shopping trip for a handbag….or two?! To reference, I used to love allll the bags, I collected my fair share of Chanel flaps and Loewe and Celine bags in my 20s and 30s, and now in my early 40s I have grown very comfortable (perhaps too comfortable…?) using my Amazon prime grocery delivery bags and lululemon fanny packs as my go tos.
“NO MORE,” he said, “let’s get you a special bag that makes YOU feel as special as you are to us.” (For reference this man has never once uttered words remotely in this universe)
So now, as a new-ish member of the Reddit community, I’d love to ask you who are FAR more in the know about where to even begin and which bag should we look out for tomorrow?! I don’t need anything flashy or something that screams “I cost more than 6 months of a mortgage” but if it ends up costing that much for the quality and durability of something that’s worth the price, it will be considered! I want something beautiful, I think people are calling it “quiet luxury” these days and will last forever, and something I can pass on to my daughter that will be timeless in 20-something years. Any recommendations?

I am 20 years old, and currently an undergraduate in my second year of university studying a BSc in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation science in the UK.
This September, I begin a nine month placement yeainternship at an eco resort in Australian rainforest, before completing my final year of university. Although not as closely linked to conservation as I’d like, the internship will hopefully provide me with guide experience, whilst learning about and exploring exciting new wildernesses (something the UK mostly lacks).
Besides doing some travelling, and hopefully some conservation based volunteering (in the realm of surveying and monitoring), I have no plans after university. Since being a kid and watching the likes of Steve Backshall and Gordon Buchanan, the idea of going on remote expeditions to carry out research tasks has always appealed to me. I understand it can be desirable to specialise in a certain field to be accepted/invited to these teams, but would anyone know what sort of fields I should specialise in, or any other qualifications, certifications and career paths I can take that could be beneficial in achieving this?
Any opinions would be welcomed and appreciated!
(EDIT) Or any potential computer based ‘side hustles’ that’ll facilitate my travels post uni and that I can do whilst working remotely? Ideally something within the conservation/natural science sectors?

I bought a 55" insignia smart TV last year in April. Just the other day I go to turn it on and scroll through the recommended shows to watch. I clicked the remote to scroll right, and it continuously scrolled very fast, nonstop for about 5-10 seconds. It does this every now and then...and sometimes it doesn't recognize that I'm pressing any of the buttons. This is a very frequent thing. I've already re-paired the remote to the TV, and it still does this. Any ideas?

So I wanted to go on Computing Sciense Specialization in Software Practice program and I know there's a lot of math. I was into video games since childhood and I know it's not really related to coding but I think I would enjoy working on some indie games and being in related field. My math is not bad but not good either. I just feel that if I'll find a good job in this field I could immigrate anywhere I want because it's relatively easy to find a remote job as a coder and it's the biggest factor in a job I would want to pursue. I have this summer to try to learn some math and coding but I don't think this will be enough to be on the same level with other students. I believe this is the best job option for me and I just wanted to ask you how bad is my university experience is going to be for me and is it even worth it?

Ask me anything you want to know about these diploma mills and I'll do my best to answer. Below I've included some background and answers to some questions I'm anticipating. To avoid revealing my identity, I won't specify the mill, but I assure you this is a legitimate experience. Ask away.
Why did you quit? I worked in admissions. I couldnt take it anymore, going home with a guilty feeling that I'm contributing to the problem of mass immigration and, by extension, the housing crisis. So I quit. Despite struggling to find a job for 6 months before this, I felt like I had no choice. I had benefits, remote (hybrid) work, good pay, and healthy work/life balance, but this job might as well have been spitting in the faces of Canadians because it gave me the same feeling.
Is my institution aware that it's a diploma mill? Not at all. I even asked about it and everyone gave me the same or similar answers:

1. We are much smaller than the major universities like UofT and UBC etc. the xxxx number of students we bring in are inconsequential.
   
2. We are giving these young people a chance to better themselves. We are doing good for Canada. You should feel proud.
   
3. (From my Indian coworker): Without Indians, Canada would be nothing. You guys need us to make Canada better. It's a dying country without us because the population is so low and birth rates are declining and Canadians aren't ambitious enough to fill the high level jobs.
   
4. We can't survive without international students. They're our main source of income.
   
5. It's not your job to think about these things.
   

What kinds of students did you bring in? 100% of our most recent international intake was Indian. Normally, it's (roughly) 90% Indian, 9% Nigerian, and 1% someone from a different country. I'd estimate they're 75% male, 25% female, 0% non-binary (we do not have updated stats on gender so this is purely observation). International students make up about half of all our students and their proportion is increasing (historically, we had way more domestic students).
Why did you primarily bring in Indians? All the cheap overseas agents are Indian and they exclusively recruit in India. Every single one of our agents was Indian. I asked if we could diversify and my boss said "no money" and "the government is more likely to approve Indian permits so we shouldn't waste time with people from other countries."
Any fraudulent applications? I'd estimate anywhere from 25-50% of the applications from India are fraudulent. I often got people applying with flawless English proficiency scores but they'd use a translator to communicate with me. When I would speak to them directly they couldn't respond to basic questions after "how are you?" My boss demanded that I accept them anyway because we could get sued and checking for it's legitimacy was too costly.
Do they work? Yes. Every student I've admitted works as much as possible, primarily at nearby fast food restaurants, convenience stores, and for Ubetaxi services.
How much time do they spend in classes then? Fortunately, my institution requires attendance. Unfortunately, most courses are hybrid so we cannot verify that they are actually present. Even still, a full course load here (5 courses) requires less than ~20 hours per week of actual work because the institution wants to give students more time to work. This is absurd to me, as they are supposed to be students first and foremost. To be clear, all of this works out to them only coming in 2-3 times a week, depending on the student's schedules. Some professors have also reduced the homework to give them more time to work.
How are these students/applicants overall? I want to emphasize that I am pro responsible immigration (immigration levels that our infrastructure supports, with people who respect Canadian values and want to integrate and improve the country) but anti mass immigration. I will not respond to racist comments. This is not intended to be a racist response either.
Some things I've noticed about many (not all) of our students from the past year - they are very grateful to be in Canada - bathrooms are VERY dirty (I spend at least 15 minutes a day wiping up pee, cleaning up wrappers and paper towels, etc) [edit: since several have asked, my job requires me to work in many different areas, from admissions to recruiting to advising and counselling, but it does not require this cleaning. That's something I do by choice/necessity. Students can use staff bathrooms, and it gets pretty bad. We all chip in to make it manageable] - they want to go to the US after getting Canadian citizenship - they barely speak English despite all of my institution's classes being fully in English - they do not respect quiet rules, meaning a general expectation that people in halls should be quiet to respect those in offices and classrooms (although this could be said about any uni students) - I have recieved a notable increase in complaints from female domestic students of harassment from male international students

Tragedy: Ichico Nemuri's death in childbirth is the only memory he has of his wife
