I just gotta level with you guys, are Yakuza games even fun? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the Yakuza games, but are they even really good games in the first place? I'm sitting here on my Yakuza 5 playthrough just contemplating life because I've raged about bullshit in every single one of the games up to this point, and idk if these games are even as good as we make them out to be.
The minigames are fucking bullshit and I despise them. I'm not talking about simple minigames like the Karaoke or the Cabaret clubs because I adore those minigames, I'm talking about the miserable slogs of minigames like golfing in Yakuza 2, Pool in Yakuza 5, or any fucking time there was Mahjong in a Yakuza game. Seriously, I've set up Mahjong calculators out of sheer frustration to try to beat those minigames and the calculators won't even help me win. Almost all of those games are pure RNG bullshit and are just meant to waste your time and infuriate you. It's absolutely excrutiating when the game roadblocks you and makes you either fork over money or play their minigames too, because it feels like a slap in the face.
Why on God's green earth do they think that creating "hard" enemies mean that they have to either create characters where they cross of half of your mechanics or they just fill a room with stunlocking enemies? I see practically everybody throughout the fanbase complain about this because its bullshit. I work my ass off to get all these upgrades and skills, and then some random nobody that walked in during a cutscene can't be blocked, can't be grabbed, can't be Heat action'd, can literally start their combo while you're attacking them, and they have super armor. I dont think there's a single Yakuza game where there isn't someone like this in there and it drives me insane, especially Lao Ka Long in Yakuza 3 because that's when I was recognizing the trend and was sick of it. And then there's boss fights where they just dump enemies with guns into a small space with you because guns are the only thing that can definitively stop you. Why can't they just let us be overpowered like the game intended for us uo to that point? The final bosses from Yakuza 1 and 4 did this and I often hear Yakuza 4 being called the worst final boss of the series. Luckily I didn't have a ton of issues with that fight because Tanimura's grappling is godtier and saved my ass the whole fight (I had much more of a problem with Saejima's fight because of that stupid kid's super armor street fighter combo), but seriously, why do they make the fights downright unfair just to make artificial difficulty? The only time they somewhat rectified this was in Yakuza 2 Kiwami with that godlike armor that makes Kiryu auto-block bullets. I got lit up with a machine gun in that game and he tanked the whole thing with his forearms. That was a good memory in my eyes.
And finally, its just the lazy writing at points. I don't mind the whole rubber bullets plot point in 4 or the secret brother plot point in 3, but seriously, why is it that in EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. Kiryu or someone else doesnt just kick a gun away from a villain and just walks away with their back turned, only for the scumlord villain to leap back up with the gun and end up shooting someone who the character was shielded by. We lost quite literally every interesting character that isn't one of the few main characters this way, and at this point the trope just pisses me off. Yakuza 2 even went crazy by doing it twice. Its almost as obnoxious as the fact that there is a Kiryu fakeout death at the end of all of the Yakuza games but 0, but I was surprised to see that Yakuza 4 broke the trend. Literally, I'm sticking with the games because I adore the story. I want to be having fun with all of this, but I cant lie to myself and say this is fun when I'm constantly irritated by shit decisions the developers continue to make. Idk, do people share in these opinions, or am I just going crazy? I'm going to keep playing the games because I'm going to finish the story, but other people are frustrated with this crap as well, aren't they?

Self-improvement and being up-front are important to me. Communication has recently been a problem with prospective partners over the last couple years, so I want to stress that I'm not the right fit for someone who's conflict-avoidant or who doesn't approach their partner with the benefit of the doubt. For me, there's no point in a relationship if you can't trust each other and feel safe with each other even when you disagree about something.
I try to be a patient, understanding, and kind person who takes responsibility for his mistakes and tries to grow from them. I'm not perfect, and I don't expect perfection. I just want someone who works with me, complementing my rough edges while I complement theirs. We're both human and we ought to give each other the benefit of the doubt if at all possible.
I'm definitely more of a homebody/introvert, but I like walks, swimming, working out, and indoor rock climbing. But you're more likely to find me playing some kind of game. I'm affectionate and mostly silly even if I take a lot of topics seriously. I try to view life with humor, but I've got anxiety/depression, so I'd prefer to be with someone who at least understands mental health issues. I love a faux-combative dynamic with partners - giving each other low-key shit. Life's no fun unless we're being a little mean to each other (Them Statler and Waldorf vibes, right?)
It generally takes me a minute to warm up to someone, but I try to let prospective partners dictate the flow of conversation initially so they feel comfortable. I'm flexible in my approach overall, but I usually hold off on talking about physical intimacy for a second. Though it's faster if we click just right.

I just finished rewatching ratatouille for the first time in awhile, and it got me thinking ".... this is a masterpiece that hasn't been matched in a very long time". The story, the abstract nature, the intricacies, all were jaw dropping. And while I was loving all of this, I also noticed something that was missing from a lot of modern animation; the realness.
When I think of all the pixar movies from Up Prior, I have a sense of realness from these movies that underlines the wackiness that happens on the surface. Let's take monsters Inc for example. On the surface, it's a bunch of wacky monsters getting scared of a child. But the working at an energy plant, the impressing your date at a restaurant, the differing relations, all of this felt like it could have been pulled from real life, just reskinned a exaggerated. I talked with my dad about this movie awhile back, and he said it felt almost exactly like his experiences working at a power plant in the 90s-2000s.
Being able to capture something so vast, yet so intimate is honestly..... just amazing. They give me a sense of warmth that I don't feel with any other type of animation movie (hell, most live action ones from today too). And the things in ratatouille, the logical yet annoying arguments with my dad, a passion to create something to be enjoyed, the stresses of a first job, even the 2 background rats that are a kid and his grandpa are all things that hit home to me on some level that makes me reflect on how I relate to my own experiences.
In today's animation..... I don't really see this being a thing anymore. At least not to the same scale as those big pixar movies. Let's take 2 of my favorite animations that came out recently; Arcane and spiderman; into the spiderverse. Both of these series are absolutely phenomenal. Great writing, great stories, and animation so beautiful that they redefine what the genre can be. Yet within these shows, and don't mistake me as saying this is a flaw, I don't get that sense of realness I did with ratatouille. Instead I feel a sense of being transported to a other world, unrelated to my own. The themes, acting, and details are so big and grandiose that I just have no sense of connection to them.
All animation, even the more smaller projects, I feel are suffering from this. I kinda recognize this thing I've been dubbing "the anime affect" where a lot of media, in some form or another, heavily copy multiple techniques in multiple different ways, and not just visual style. Some of these are fairly easy to notice, like archetypes used in a lot of animated shows, while others are a bit harder to notice, like the general shift to grande messages in media (arcane) over more personal, intimate messages you need to relate to (ratatouille).
It goes a bit further, in the sense that even the most talented art I've seen lacks originality in some sense or another. Both arcane and into the spiderverse are based of existing IP's, and a lot of indie animation calls back to something else. Look at newgrounds and you'll see they're mostly fan animations of some sort or are based off something like a DND setup. I recently discovered a whole sub section of animators who stylize themeselves after old ps1/n64 graphics. While I love this type of content and watch it daily, rewatching old pixar has made me realize that a lot of animation is kind of..... unoriginal. My tastes not excluded.
Compared with the animation of pixar, I would say most animations and animators are mostly focused of spectacle and escapism today. Which is a shame, because those real life influences that inspired early pixar, and other early animation fields (think cowboy bebop, shrek, paprika) left very positive impacts on those who watched them. And while I don't think the more escapist realm animation is in today can't do that, that personal feeling that makes you feel related to is such a powerful thing that I think we all could benefit from bringing back more.
It's also not completely missing these days either. While there isn't much on the big screen anymore, independent animators have been Making incredibly personal and realistic styles to their artwork. The medium has infinite ways to show POVs from all walks of life. I just hope that I'll see a big project, like the older pixar films, grace the big screen yet again.

Previous Post-
With all that out of the way, what do I think of the Finale of Cold Steel 4, Cold Steel 4 as a whole, and perhaps even all of the Cold Steel arc? Well, I might do a separate post about the Cold Steel arc, but... Cold Steel 4 is really good. In spite of some of its pacing, and the way it sometimes just flings stuff out there with little explanation and you don't hear about it again (sometimes it comes up again, sometimes it doesn't), I really enjoyed Cold Steel 4. I think it's my third favourite game in the franchise.
But first and foremost, some pros and cons for the finale.
Pros- -The Hamel sidequest Really nice, as opposed to the Crossbell sidequest which hinged on the least interesting member of the original SSS, it does a good job of (quite literally) putting the ghosts of Hamel to rest. The interactions between Ash and Joshua are great, and I liked how some of Loewe's residual spirit came back too. We'll never see him resurrected, but since this series has long established that residual conciseness stays behind (and also the existence of the beyond and Loewe's link to a sword made by its rules), it was was a nice little touch.
-The entire final area From the Salt Pales, to Tuatha de Danann, to the final fight with Ishmelga Loge, I could not have asked for a better send off to the Cold Steel arc. I think in general it was well paced- about as long as Azure and CS2's final dungeons- and the final area itself was designed in such an enigmatic yet fascinating way. The Liber Ark's still better though.
-McBurn What to say about McBurn? Arguably the most important lore dump we've ever gotten in the series, the stuff that implies the human he fused with *might* be Epstein, the stuff he remembered at the end seemingly relating to something the Grandmaster and Campanella did, and of course The Beyond and the 'Possible World'. Seemingly endless complexities and lore implications that both add too what we already know, and yet leave so, so many more questions. Here's my one. If Aidos truly didn't create the Beyond
then who did?
-Ouroboros I risk being controversial here, but I truly love Ouroboros' outing in Cold Steel, and this is a fitting send off, finally getting them in a position where they have to at least give a vague explanation for what they're doing that goes beyond 'it's all going to plan'- leaving a lot open, but also with more of a target for theories and ideas. I think it's made absolutely clear that their open nature as an organisation is entirely by design (of course helped by that final scene with the Grandmaster), and I can't wait to see what they do next.
-Earn Your Happy Ending There's a trope on TV Tropes by this name and. Yeah. After all the shit they've been through, Class 7 and Rean definitely earned this. It's a bit sappy, and perhaps a little bit too cheesy, but I don't mind it.
Cons- -Does everyone really need to speak? Whilst I like the finale as a whole, it felt like every time we were about to face a new boss, literally all of the 16 or so characters in the party had to chime in with the same line every time. It got old quick, and represents some of the sins of Cold Steels writing, where it can get pretty repetitive after a while.
-The Crossbell sidequest It was nice to see Diana MacDowell finally reunite with her daughter, and the stuff about the devil only targeting women is some pretty interesting lore, and perhaps a set up for future games (the Calvard arc), the same as quite a lot of the stuff from near the end of the game that didn't directly deal with the final bosses- but other than that the sidequest just didn't hit the mark I wanted it too. Again, it focused too much on the least interesting member of the SSS, and didn't do much of anything to make her more interesting. Shame really.
-That goofy portrait of you and your lover after the credits Did they need to make it any more obvious how tacked on the romance system in these games were? Couldn't even commission art that made it look like the other photos on Rean's desk, just a generic 3d rendering? Come on now lol. This is the most petty of petty grievances but it did stick with me.
Conclusion- This finale was great. It had a lot riding on it, but I think it managed to do good with what it needed to do. I'm certainly looking forward to Reverie, to see some things cleared up more, and to bridge the gap between the Crossbell and Erebonia arcs and the Calvard arcs, and whatever might come after it. However, there is still one more thing I need to do here.
Conclusion on Cold Steel 4 as a whole- A game of many faces. From the brilliance of Act One, Act Three and the Finale, some beautiful character moments and bonding events, to the somewhat mediocre Act Two, the romance system, and some of the story explanations as a whole, it doesn't take a genius to see why Cold Steel 4 is so divisive. Me I fall on the 'it's really good in spite of its issues' side of the divide. I think the curse is a good idea, if done better in other places (Fullmetal Alchemist for instance, with a very similar resolution in both cases), that isn't presented that well and thus might cause more confusion than if they'd spent more time properly fleshing it out.
Like I said, I think it's my third favourite game in the series, behind only Azure and Sky SC, and it deserves its flowers. That being said, I think there's a pretty sizeable gap between what I think of Azure and what I think of CS4, and I hope Reverie will rectify some of the issues I have with the game. It's been an honour to have your readership across the Cold Steel arc, it's been a mammoth task, especially with my reviews that I try and do each time I finish a section of the game, but I think it's been very worthwhile.

A Brief Review of Trails of Cold Steel IV: Act Three- A Worthy Rivalry by inFalcomIntroduction- This feels like a major turning point for the series. The various revelations about the forces behind what caused the Hamel tragedy and subsequent war with Liberl that are so critical to understanding Sky, the various incidents in Crossbell that were both linked to and related to both Erebonia and Ouroboros' plans, and of course the mammoth, four game Cold Steel arc. There may be Reverie after this to contend with, but for all intents and purposes, this feels like the end of a major part of the series. On a personal level, having played each game in the series in order, essentially back to back, since I started Sky in November, this feels bittersweet. I have a post planned for after I finish Reverie that goes a little bit more into this, but suffice to say I feel like I've been on an incredible journey, and yet I still want more.
With all that out of the way, what do I think of the Finale of Cold Steel 4, Cold Steel 4 as a whole, and perhaps even all of the Cold Steel arc? Well, I might do a separate post about the Cold Steel arc, but... Cold Steel 4 is really good. In spite of some of its pacing, and the way it sometimes just flings stuff out there with little explanation and you don't hear about it again (sometimes it comes up again, sometimes it doesn't), I really enjoyed Cold Steel 4. I think it's my third favourite game in the franchise.
But first and foremost, some pros and cons for the finale.
Pros- -The Hamel sidequest Really nice, as opposed to the Crossbell sidequest which hinged on the least interesting member of the original SSS, it does a good job of (quite literally) putting the ghosts of Hamel to rest. The interactions between Ash and Joshua are great, and I liked how some of Loewe's residual spirit came back too. We'll never see him resurrected, but since this series has long established that residual conciseness stays behind (and also the existence of the beyond and Loewe's link to a sword made by its rules), it was was a nice little touch.
-The entire final area From the Salt Pales, to Tuatha de Danann, to the final fight with Ishmelga Loge, I could not have asked for a better send off to the Cold Steel arc. I think in general it was well paced- about as long as Azure and CS2's final dungeons- and the final area itself was designed in such an enigmatic yet fascinating way. The Liber Ark's still better though.
-McBurn What to say about McBurn? Arguably the most important lore dump we've ever gotten in the series, the stuff that implies the human he fused with *might* be Epstein, the stuff he remembered at the end seemingly relating to something the Grandmaster and Campanella did, and of course The Beyond and the 'Possible World'. Seemingly endless complexities and lore implications that both add too what we already know, and yet leave so, so many more questions. Here's my one. If Aidos truly didn't create the Beyond
then who did?
-Ouroboros I risk being controversial here, but I truly love Ouroboros' outing in Cold Steel, and this is a fitting send off, finally getting them in a position where they have to at least give a vague explanation for what they're doing that goes beyond 'it's all going to plan'- leaving a lot open, but also with more of a target for theories and ideas. I think it's made absolutely clear that their open nature as an organisation is entirely by design (of course helped by that final scene with the Grandmaster), and I can't wait to see what they do next.
-Earn Your Happy Ending There's a trope on TV Tropes by this name and. Yeah. After all the shit they've been through, Class 7 and Rean definitely earned this. It's a bit sappy, and perhaps a little bit too cheesy, but I don't mind it.
Cons- -Does everyone really need to speak? Whilst I like the finale as a whole, it felt like every time we were about to face a new boss, literally all of the 16 or so characters in the party had to chime in with the same line every time. It got old quick, and represents some of the sins of Cold Steels writing, where it can get pretty repetitive after a while.
-The Crossbell sidequest It was nice to see Diana MacDowell finally reunite with her daughter, and the stuff about the devil only targeting women is some pretty interesting lore, and perhaps a set up for future games (the Calvard arc), the same as quite a lot of the stuff from near the end of the game that didn't directly deal with the final bosses- but other than that the sidequest just didn't hit the mark I wanted it too. Again, it focused too much on the least interesting member of the SSS, and didn't do much of anything to make her more interesting. Shame really.
-That goofy portrait of you and your lover after the credits Did they need to make it any more obvious how tacked on the romance system in these games were? Couldn't even commission art that made it look like the other photos on Rean's desk, just a generic 3d rendering? Come on now lol. This is the most petty of petty grievances but it did stick with me.
Conclusion- This finale was great. It had a lot riding on it, but I think it managed to do good with what it needed to do. I'm certainly looking forward to Reverie, to see some things cleared up more, and to bridge the gap between the Crossbell and Erebonia arcs and the Calvard arcs, and whatever might come after it. However, there is still one more thing I need to do here.
Conclusion on Cold Steel 4 as a whole- A game of many faces. From the brilliance of Act One, Act Three and the Finale, some beautiful character moments and bonding events, to the somewhat mediocre Act Two, the romance system, and some of the story explanations as a whole, it doesn't take a genius to see why Cold Steel 4 is so divisive. Me I fall on the 'it's really good in spite of its issues' side of the divide. I think the curse is a good idea, if done better in other places (Fullmetal Alchemist for instance, with a very similar resolution in both cases), that isn't presented that well and thus might cause more confusion than if they'd spent more time properly fleshing it out.
Like I said, I think it's my third favourite game in the series, behind only Azure and Sky SC, and it deserves its flowers. That being said, I think there's a pretty sizeable gap between what I think of Azure and what I think of CS4, and I hope Reverie will rectify some of the issues I have with the game. It's been an honour to have your readership across the Cold Steel arc, it's been a mammoth task, especially with my reviews that I try and do each time I finish a section of the game, but I think it's been very worthwhile.

Let me explain: I'm currently writing two book series. One takes place well into the already Victorian era (1830s-beginning of 1900s), the other is on a more specific time, at the Regency era (1810-1820). I know men at those times used to wear mostly shades of beige, black, blue and brown, and that was pretty much it. Yet I'm having some trouble to find a more specific color palette for the women as they had a much more varied set of colors.

In other words, the ultimate ''Which Undertale soul are you'' personality test. Keep in mind what the Purple flag says, we'll come back to it soon. Now, let's talk about the Purple soul. Purple is associated to Perseverance in Undertale. For those who don't know, Perseverance is the effort of continue trying despite the difficulties, the failures or opposition. So, we know the Perseverance soul was someone who refused to give up, what else do we know about them? And also characters who like reading or writing. Since the Perseverance soul carried a Notebook with them, this last part checks out. What's curious is the state of the Notebook. The pages where torn and by checking the item we discover that the writing that remains are just illegible scrawls. When creating the characters, Toby had to choose only two items to represent each soul, which means said item was of importance to each kid. So, how exactly did the Notebook get to that state? The notebook being really old may be a good explanation if this was real life, but this isn't. Remember, someone decided to write that the notebook's pages had been torn and that it only contained illegible scrawls with the intention of making people wonder over whatever happened to it. If the notebook was just old, they could have changed the wording to something more fitting. Now, remember what the Ball game said about the Perseverance Soul: Even when you felt trapped, you took notes and achieved the end.A common practice when you're feeling down and have no one to talk to is to write down your feelings. Being able to organize your thoughts is really helpful when it comes to mental health. That bit of dialog tells us a lot about the Perseverance soul, they often felt hopeless, often enough to keep a notebook to write about it. But despite that they persevered for as long as they could. There's also the fact that this kid climbed Mt Ebott. The mountain where is rumored people who climb it disappear. With all of that in mind we can start to get a picture of what happened to the Notebook. Something happened to the Perseverance Soul, something that made them stop trying, and the Notebook which represents the proof of their persistence was likely destroyed by them. There's also the fact the Notebook as we find it only contains illegible scrawls. Illegible scrawls are often used to indirectly say that whoever wrote that was overcame with fear, in a hurry or not in a good place mentally. Finally, let's remember that all the fallen humans had the ability to Save and Reload, as long as they have this ability the only way for them to die is if they decide to stop trying, making their deaths more tragic. We are only left to wonder whatever happened to the fallen humans. Luckily, we do have a lot of room from interpretation, which can lead to cool stories, like Undertale Yellow. believe it or not, i dont want to die sad. but how does one die feeling happy? feeling at peace? i too do not know how, but i want to try to find the answer today. i want to sleep forever, now. so i want to try my best to give you a brief recap of how ive been suicidal and depressed till now.
to be honest i didnt know how it exactly started. when did i feel depressed? no, scratch that. when did i feel sad for no reason? ninth grade. i cant remember the specifics now, but i do remember trying to drown myself, my first attempt of suicide, because of my grades. i was 13, i felt hopeless, my mom got mad at me, and we didnt have the closeness of our relationship that we have now. i became more sad when i reached my senior year of high school, grades 11 and 12. i had my first heartbreak (cliche as it sounds) and i sabotaged all my friendships. i was a bad friend, i was getting into smoking and drinking--i made both of them my coping mechanism. i spent my days lying in bed, crying in the mornings before school started inside the bathroom stalls, i skipped classes and traveled on my own and smoke and drink--people believed i was 18. but i was 16. i was 16, but i felt like my inner machinery was already tarnished. i chased love but turned away the second they showed me that they liked me. i ran away from my friends and used them for my own benefit because i was 'sad' and that they should 'know' that because they were my 'friends'. but no. nobody deserves that kind of treatment. i was never saved that time, never told anyone how i truly felt. but when i did tell i immediately regretted it because they never understood my weight of emotions; i felt invalidated.
freshman year of college rolled through and i thought i was doing fine, but i wasn't. i wanted to be so much that i ended up overexerting myself. when it finally became too heavy for me i stayed out late, drank again, spent the night with my friends and didn't come home. the next day i told my mom that i had this urge to be alone, to disappear, and that my emotions were all so heavy that i was becoming more sad everyday that even i didn't know the reason. before i could say i wanted help, she told me instead the opposites of what i have been saying. 'ah, this must be what invalidation feels like' i thought, and thats when i knew that really, no one will understand what im going through. its the pandemic now, 2020 and im turning 18, the age of adulthood. funny enough months before that i told myself that i wanted to die, and that there was a bleach ready in out bathroom for me to try out. i thought back then, dying at 18 would be nice because it would spare me the pains of adulthood. my birthday came, i felt heavy when i woke up; i finally decided, you know. my mind was made up. but then i woke up and i hear my dad calling my mom on the phone and asking her if i was already awake, my mom sounded giddy, excited, and told my dad that i haven't woke up yet and that there's too much food on the table she's excited on how ill react. i cried. they were downstairs celebrating my birthday but i was stuck in bed thinking of ways to unalive myself. in the end i came down, wiped my tears, celebrated my birthday normally, posed for some pictures, and called it a day. that was the day i started dreading having to celebrate my birthday. same year, october, i called the suicide hotline with pills in my hand, ready to end it all. long story short, more shit happened. called the hotline, texted my cousin i was gonna die, she then called her parents then said parents called my mom. mom caught me, we cried so hard, i told her everything. we became closer then. she was my best friend and still is, and it pains me that im not the best daughter and friend she has. i wanted to take a break from school then, i wanted to see a shrink, but guess what, nothing happened. i went back to classes like nothing happened. my emotions werent compensated. i was doing everything with a broken mind. no one around me talked to me about what happened, only i relived it. i preferred if they talked to me about it, i preferred if i took a break for a while, it would have been nice to talk to someone about, talk about this unending sadness that im feeling; if i did then maybe i could be a tiny bit better. but no. i gave every feeling i had for free.

When writing, the suggestion is to aim for 1k-3k words, however, this is not a requirement. There is no goal - this is not a popularity contest - just write and have fun! Surprise! We're doing them all this week - have fun! :DTeam RWBY, plus Zwei, and Team JNPR play pirates. RWBY, except all songs are written by Sabaton. Atlas makes a space elevator near Vale and Vale is not happy with it. All out war resumes and the use of aerial drones are being used. As a joke, Yang sends pretend Valentines between the most random pairings of people she can think of. She’s shocked when all of them end up together. Team RWBY somehow travels back in time and encounters Team STRQ of the past. When Blake left her family to stay with the White Fang, she became the extremist, not Adam. Ozma agrees with Salem's plans to rule both humanity and the Faunus as the new Gods of Remnant, and has no regrets. After forsaking her mortal inheritance, Weiss is now eligible to be a Queen of the Winter Court of Fae, which is returning to Remnant for the first time since the Brother Gods abandoned it. "

I have managed to rescue /RWBYFanfiction from an untimely demise! If you would like to share your fanfic or make recommendations, head on over there! I know that I've said something special was coming for this, but Ruby on Rails is hard and not cheap to operate. The fanfiction indexer that I was trying to set up just isn't working and probably needs someone with more experience in RoR programming/design. I haven't completely put it to bed, but it might be a while before I can circle back to it. I know there will be the typical "it's god tier" or "it's trash" responses, but I'm hoping for more level headed takes.
Is Fairy Tail worth watching?
My absolute favorites are HxH, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Shiki and Naruto.
Also love Death Note, Bleach, JJK, Chainsaw Man, YYH, Jojo's, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Afro Samurai, Gintama and stuff like that. Generally the darker, more psychological or sad stuff, or the very meta clever humor, or deep tricky storylines. I don't mind breezy starts or humble beginnings as the plot builds.
I've seen the first episode and I don't mind the setup, I like this protag and the animation is nice. His power is unique and seems like it could lead to smart fights.
I've seen so many mixed things about this series and I'm curious what the consensus is around here. Long detailed posts are 100% welcome.

I live in a suburb of Charlotte, NC in a little town called Monroe. The establishment I frequent has been berated by Southern religious groups for the past three years. The establishment serves everyone they host Drag Shows, Latin dance nights trivia. The restaurant / Superette has a good following good employees that care about the community. For the past 3 years on drag show nights the protesters would come out and protest in front of the establishment. At first the shows were all ages. These protesters would berate the patrons of the establishment and yell at young children as their parents brought them to the show. One of the protesters would be the future mayor of the city. The drag, queens and kings would wear nice gowns tuxedos beautiful dresses and feel free to show off their hard work. The the kings and queens would never wear lingerie speedo or anything that is deemed inappropriate for children. There would be some lewd jokes and that sort of nature. The establishment had to change from all ages to 18 and up. Once the restaurant /establishment went from all ages to 18 and up for the drag shows. The protesters kept on coming and eventually they all stopped. So the protesters would take pictures of children with their parents and post them on social media websites. So as a joke, one of the owners of the establishment took pictures of the protesters. They Photoshop out what the protesters were saying on the Posters. The signs would eventually say eat at this restaurant I like hamburgers stuff The signs would eventually say eat at this restaurant I like hamburgers and of that nature.
So fast-forward to just now recently in the past couple of months, the protesters are suing the establishment for using their likeness. So now the establishment has a counter suit. Against the protesters group and their leader. The establishment needs a lot of help to fight the fascist pigs. The establishment has created a GoFundMe to help for the legal battle against the protesters.
I would like to know if I should write about this on another sub Reddit like the lgbt community. I just want to draw as much attention to this group.

Even (especially) if I get a subreddit or date wrong. That also includes new lists that you think I should create. (Note that, other than the quotation marks, the thread titles are "sic". I only change the quotation marks to match the standard usage (double to single, etc.) when I add my own quotation marks around the threads' titles.)
The lists are in absolute ascending chronological order by the posting date, and if need be the time of the initial post, down to the minute (or second, if required—there are several examples of this). The dates are in DD MMMM YYYY format per personal preference, and times are in US Eastern Time ("ET") since that's how they appear to me, and I'm not going to go to the trouble of converting to another time zone. They are also in twenty-four hour format, as that's what I prefer, and it saves the trouble and confusion of a.m. and p.m. Where the same user posts the same request to different subreddits, I note the user's name in order to indicate that I am aware of the duplication.
I compile my lists manually, from what shows up in my feed. I choose what interests me (thus the low incidence of romance—I'm not a fan of the literary genre, though I'm fine with the theme, and like romantic movies—and of pure horror, and the preponderance of science fiction/fantasy lists, as well as the large portion of nonfiction), and questions that are asked repeatedly.

I absolutely adored Lumberjanes. The writing was witty, and the characters distinct and memorable. I have considered some of Boom Box other series as they published lumberjanes but I don’t know where to begin.
I also throughly inside the My Little Pony comics for a bit more insight to my taste. I’m willing to do graphic novels as well. Some of my favorites are the Babysitters Club ones, Just Roll With It, Living With Viola, The Cupcake Diaries, and the I Survived ones.
I do mostly want series comparable to Lumberjanes. But I am open to similar comics or graphic novels from the ones I listed to show my taste. I am just in a bit of a rut when it comes to graphic novels! And don’t worry if it’s below my reading level. I frankly don’t care about the kind of thing.

Watching yet another Jokic masterclass (against the DPOY no less), I can’t help but think that this four year run (so far) of total dominance he’s on will have a huge impact on the legacies of other superstars. I’m talking approaching Jordan / LeBron levels of this dominance, especially if he can hold off Wemby and the rest of the top five players for another few years. A few examples off the top of my head:
Joel Embiid: I might be writing this post about Embiid if we were in a world where Jokic is instead a champion horse trainer. His MVP is rock solid and he likely has two if not three MVPs.
Luka Doncic: if it wasn’t for Jokic, he’s the best European in the league, the most skilled player in the league, and probably has an MVP at this point.

So this has been driving me crazy. I remember this book I had growing up (90’s to maybe early 2000’s, when I was little) and it was filled with little poem like stories dealing with the daily life of this little bear and stories from his imagination. It’s not the little bear series, this was a picture book and I know one of the poems in it went like “I’m dressing myself, yes I’m dressing myself. I’m dressing myself today.” The cover had either the papa bear reading to the little bear while sitting in a chair in front of the fire or the little bear was making his way up the stairs to bed. I really want to find this book to read to my son.
