2024.05.12 04:37 asthenia_920 34 [M4F] Could you show me dear? Something I'm not seeing, something infinitely interesting?

My biggest fear will be the rescue of me. Strange how it turns out that way, yeah...
Hello! I'm looking for someone to build a connection with. I'm getting old, and I wish there's someone who I can spend my day and future. Yung kasama manood ng series, movies, and gigs.
ABOUT ME
ABOUT YOU (ASIDE FROM THE TYPICAL MABAIT, MAGALANG, ETC.)
I don't mind if thicc/plus size ka, you're allergic to pets, naapakan mo na yung buhok mo, or kasing height kita -- as long as nasunod yung apat na nabanggit ko. And believe it or not, kahit madami na akong sinabi tungkol sa akin eh tip of the iceberg pa lang yan LOL. I have tons and tons of stories for you. Kasi I'm interested to know more about you.
So, I can't wait to meet you! :)

2024.04.23 04:32 Anj_Stinky My dad hates that I study alone after I've dropped out of college

Context: - I (22 F) dropped out of college kasi college is hard kahit sabihing libre. Maybe im making a mistake and I'm aware of how I've disappointed my parents. - I was raised to be curious yet rational. I was an overachiever and a highly argumentative bitch thanks to my academic upbringing. I'm not smart, but I sure have opinions. - I've been depressed since college, the same time that I started questioning my family's religion (INC) - my dad is a retired OFW. My mom and I think he has issues with the thought of "not providing for the family" - my dad is a little dull. He himself had difficulties in college, in his career, and in living abroad. He doesn't like the youth for being "too woke" - my dad and my religion like being "apolitical" but they sure love the the Dutertes and the Marcoses.
Getting older, I've become more interested in history, philosophy, religion and politics. Things that I study on my own even now that I'm out of school. It makes great conversation with my brother and some online friends. Sometimes, knowledge can give me comfort as I ask way too many questions about life and existence, or it can keep me wide awake at night -- too emotional about the implications of whatever I have just learned.
My dad once snatched my phone while I was watching a yt video on Augustinian philosophy. He yelled at me that he would only give it back "kapag tinigilan (ko) na yung mga ingles-ingles na walang katuturan." I found my phone hidden in his closet, thanks to findmydevice. He was livid. Sinampal nya ako, tas bubugbugin daw pag nahuli nya ulit ako.
With fear that it would happen again, nanonood nalang ako ngayon ng mindless entertainment and music for the past few months. "What is my purpose now? What is my God? Hindi ba kamukha ng logo ng INC ang logo ng Freemasonry?" Shit like that. And I have a pepper spray next to my bed in case my dad decides to throw hands.
I decided to look for old and unread books. Dekada 70. I made a half-assed book report about it back in junior high without actually reading it.
"based on what i have read this morning, philosophy will not be of help in battling with depression. i can buy you some inspirational books or novels if you want."
I fucking hate cheesy, pretentious, inspirational literature. It's giving 'random inspirational quotes that your auntie sends you after new year's.' Most of all, it often invalidates my overthingking through "just be happy" or "think positive."
The world is dying and people are scum. Siguro nga I should make myself useful and live simple.
Ang daming ko kasing pinoproblema. Siguro nga ako rin yung problema.

Imagine a politically heavy musical with the main character being a journalist receiving death threats from a corrupt politician for doing their job.
My entry would be dekada '70 - zild

2024.03.29 16:33 Immediate_Dark_4759 Dekada '70

Hello, i'm in need of help. I really have a hard time trying to finish Dekada '70. The atmosphere and emotional turmoil it causes me is on another level.
Can someone please tell me how does this story end? It's been days now and i'm stuck on chapter 17 because i'm afraid of what will happen on their family. For real. I am so close on bawling my eyes out because I see my mom on Amanda.

2024.03.20 17:14 HereWeGoAgain_10 Preseed - Get rid of the need to type 'Enter' each time.

Hello everyone!

My issue

I'm creating a preseed file with debian, i got everything done and it works well. But the problem is that I always need to select the correct choice in the installer menu at the beginning and press enter. If I don't do it, it starts an automatic installation where it doesn't take into account my preseed file.
Installer Menu:
Debian GNU/Installer Menu
So If I press enter, everything goes well. But I need to press enter so it starts the preseed installation. As you can see te 'Press a key otherwise speech synthesis will be started in XX seconds...'
When I don't press any keys and let the speech synthesis start:
It asks me my language then my location, country, keyboards and so on ... (redo the installation). Example here below
https://preview.redd.it/75xepoehiipc1.png?width=882&format=png&auto=webp&s=2ea2deb91ee10527e6195f92aeeb499439f84762

My code

How I did was very simple. I put this here in a file called preseed.cfg that is inside my cdrom. Then I added the code for the menu to appear in the file gtk.cfg that is inside my folder isolinux. (gtk.cfg or txt.cfg it does the same thing)
Preseed file:

2024.03.11 17:01 helmwrithesikuu_2704 Protection from supernatural entities

Hi! It's been almost four years since we moved dito sa old house ng tito and tita ko. Even before we lived here, boarding house na ito that was managed by my late-grandpa.
When I was tasked to take care of our papa, I had to stay sa sala because he contracted TB. I was studying for my term exams back then when I started noticing and random movements from the kitchen and heard footsteps from the study area upstairs. Kahoy pala yung 2nd floor ng bahay kaya naririnig lahat. There were only three of us that time (tulog na yung isang border sa kwarto sa taas).
Pagbalik ko galing ng Manila, I stayed dito with my brother. Napag-isipan naming magkapatid na somehow, irenovate para naman kaaya-aya; and so we did. Nilinis yung buong bahay - pininturahan, and fixed what needed fixing.
2020 ito nangyari, just after the height of the nationwide quarantine. Since then, napuno yung boarding house and "nawala" yung mga entities. From time to time, though, we'd hear footsteps and see things that aren't supposed to be there.
Last December, we were making a film na isinali namin sa isang local competition. That time, nasa sala kami, tinatapos yung film poster. Mga 3-ish na ng umaga yun. Pinagtimpla ko ng kape mga kaibigan ko tapos yung isa (Friend A), sabi tumingin daw ako sa camera (full frame tapos ang lente na gamit ay 70-200 mm), nung naupo na ako with them, nakipag-kwentuhan agad . Friend A took a pic and kept quiet until hindi na siya makatiis.
Itong si Friend A, nang-asar bigla out of nowhere. "Sige nga, kung totoo ka, paikutin mo nga yung ceiling fan, sunod mo na din tong stand fan."
After a few while, gumalaw yung ceiling fan tapos sumunod gumalaw yung stand fan.
Hindi niya na lang pinansin pero it took her a good hour before she fell asleep.
We finished the film and I returned to Manila to spend my New Year there.
Yung pamangkin ko, lagi akong hinihila palabas ng kwarto, "come, out, out, now" ang lagi niyang binabanggit sa twing magigising siya from her nap.
Alam kong hindi lang ako ang nakakaramdam na meron, kahit sila mommy and mama din pero in denial lang sila. I told my mom na ipa-bless na ulit itong bahay.
Is there anything I can do in the mean time para mawala yung heaviness sa bahay?

2024.03.04 06:04 Icy-Mention-8996 Shortening the pronunciation of tagalog numbers

I had this idea of shortening the Tagalog numbers as little syllables as possible, with single digits only having one syllable:
1 - Sa, 2 - Wa, 3 - tal (I picked tal instead of "tat" or "tlo", since tat sounds too much like pat (4), and tlo sounds like lo (8)), 4 - Pat, 5 - Ma, 6 - Nim, 7 - To, 8 - Lo, 9 - Siyam, 10 - Pu,
now for labing-isa (11), it would shorten to become "bing-sa":
11 - bing-sa, 12 - bing-wa, 13 - bing-tal, 14 - bing-pat, 15 - bing-ma, etc.
then for dalawampu (20) is going to be "wampu":
20 - wampu, 21 - wamput' sa, 22 - wamput' wa, 23 - wamput' tal, 24 - wamput' pat, 25 - wamput' ma, etc.
and then it continues:
30 - Talpu, 40 - Patpu, 50 - Mampu, 60 - Nimpu, 70 - Tompu, 80 - Lompu, 90 - Siyampu (why does it sound like shampoo 😭)
then we go to Isang daan (100) which will become "Sandan":
100 - sandan, 200 - wangdan, 300 - taldan, 400 - patdan, 500 - mangdan, Etc.
Now i could just make random 3 digit numbers and have them be pronounced even shorter than their English counterparts:
572 - Mangdang' tomput' wa, 398 - taldang' siyamput' lo, 125 - sandang' wamput' ma,
I also had bigger numbers in mind:
1000 - isang libo - sang bo - "sambo", 10000 - sampung libo - pung bo - "pumbo",
And then you go nuts: 11111 - Pumbong Sambong Sandang Bing Sa, 725816 - Tongdang wampu't mambo't Longdang bing nim, 4926715 - Patmil siyamdang wampu't nimbo't tongdang bing ma,
628542 - ???
...or maybe im just overthinking this and we'll be fine using English instead
what do you guys think?
