Renewal hgh

What can I expect?

2024.04.14 10:31 Kgills55 What can I expect?

What can I expect?
I am awaiting my MRI next week and blood work any day now. In the meantime, can anyone give me their opinions?
7 years ago (age 19) I had been feeling so sick with a multitude of symptoms, mainly uncontrollable weight gain, poor temperature regulation, some mood issues, and some slight facial changes to my nose and jaw. My facial features looked corse to me. It was ever so slight and nothing too noticeable. I went to several endocrinologists and they reluctantly ordered blood work for me. My Igf1 and hgh came back in range, but on the higher end of healthy. Which was consistent with the growing age that I still was. However, my prolactin came back very elevated and out of range and my cortisol was high as well. At that time I started seeing a wonderful gynecologist who listened to me, for my regular exams and check up. I’m talking about some of my symptoms, he became adamant about having an mri done for me. No tumor and no growth on my pituitary was detected. My gynecologist told me we should watch symptoms and check again in a few years, in the event it was too small to detect. He wasn’t convinced there was no growth.
Within two more years from the mri, my shoe size jumped up a size and a half. I’m now a 9-9 1/2 and I am 5’4. Quite large for my stature. My hands also significantly enlarged.
Last year I noticed a lot of jaw growth. So much so that when I went to get my work badge ID photo renewed and retaken after having it for a full year, my coworker compared the two photos that were a year apart and said, “you look like two different people in these pictures”
Fast forward, I’m 26 now. I’ve been having all sorts of issues with my organs. Liver, pancreas, gallbladder, thyroid, sex hormones. I recently had a doctor theorize that I may have a hypothalamus tumor, not pituitary. Their thinking is that’s the reason no growth showed up before, when the symptoms started. The mri was looking in the wrong place/for the wrong thing.
I found this article from a medical journal, where acromegaly is mentioned several times, in relation to a hypothalamic tumor.
Please read and control f search the word acromegaly in the article:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6833118/
I attached some photos that are only a few years apart and was hoping for some feedback and if you feel my facial changes may be related? Thank you for you time and help

2024.04.12 21:19 RegrowthGuru EXOGENOUS HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH) FOR HAIR LOSS

Alopecia, or hair loss, affects millions of individuals globally, causing not only physical changes but also psychological distress. Human Growth Hormone (HGH), a multifunctional hormone with diverse physiological effects, has piqued scientific interest as a potential therapy for hair loss. This comprehensive scientific article delves into the intricate mechanisms behind exogenous Human Growth Hormone (HGH) therapy, presents findings from relevant scientific studies, and discusses safety considerations related to HGH use in addressing hair loss.

INTRODUCTION TO HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH)

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) plays a crucial role in the regulation of various physiological processes, including hair growth. In the context of hair loss, HGH serves as a vital factor in maintaining the health and vitality of hair follicles. It stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of hair follicle stem cells, which are responsible for initiating new hair growth and ensuring the continuous renewal of follicles. Additionally, HGH promotes the production of essential proteins and growth factors within the hair follicles, contributing to the strength and resilience of the hair shaft. Furthermore, HGH helps to prolong the anagen (growth) phase of the hair growth cycle while inhibiting the transition to the catagen (regression) and telogen (resting) phases, thereby promoting a longer duration of active hair growth and reducing hair shedding. Understanding the role of HGH in hair loss sheds light on potential therapeutic avenues for addressing hair thinning and promoting hair health.

A MULTIFACETED REGULATOR

At the core of its hair-related effects, HGH stimulates the activity of hair follicle stem cells, which are responsible for initiating new hair growth and maintaining the continuous renewal of hair follicles. By promoting the proliferation and differentiation of these stem cells, HGH facilitates the regeneration of hair follicles, leading to thicker and healthier hair. Moreover, HGH enhances the production of essential proteins and growth factors within the hair follicles, contributing to the robustness and resilience of the hair shaft. Additionally, HGH aids in prolonging the anagen (growth) phase of the hair growth cycle while simultaneously inhibiting the transition to the catagen (regression) and telogen (resting) phases, thereby promoting a longer duration of active hair growth and reducing hair shedding.
However, it’s important to note that while HGH can positively influence hair growth, its effects are subject to various factors such as individual genetics, hormonal balance, and overall health status. Furthermore, excessive or imbalanced levels of HGH can potentially lead to adverse effects, underscoring the importance of maintaining physiological equilibrium. Overall, understanding the multifaceted roles of HGH in hair growth provides valuable insights into potential therapeutic strategies for addressing hair loss and promoting hair health.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Exogenous Human Growth Hormone (HGH) exerts multifaceted effects on hair health, playing a pivotal role in regulating the growth cycle and vitality of hair follicles. By stimulating stem cell activity, enhancing protein production, and prolonging the growth phase while inhibiting regression and resting phases, HGH promotes thicker, healthier hair growth while reducing hair shedding. Understanding these mechanisms illuminates the potential of HGH as a therapeutic target for addressing hair loss and promoting overall hair health.

SCIENTIFIC STUDIES ON EXOGENOUS HUMAN GROWTH HORMONE (HGH)

A comprehensive understanding of the scientific studies investigating exogenous Human Growth Hormone (HGH) for hair loss provides valuable insights into its potential as a therapeutic agent in addressing various forms of hair thinning and baldness. These studies delve into the effects of HGH on hair follicle activity, growth rates, and overall hair health, shedding light on its mechanisms of action and clinical efficacy. By examining both experimental and clinical evidence, we can better appreciate the multifaceted role of HGH in promoting robust hair growth and mitigating hair loss.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

When considering the use of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) for hair loss, it’s essential to be aware of several safety considerations:

CONCLUSION

Exogenous HGH therapy offers an intriguing avenue for addressing hair loss, with scientific studies indicating its potential efficacy through the regulation of IGF-1 and other mechanisms. However, due caution must be exercised, considering the potential side effects and the importance of medical oversight. As research progresses, exogenous HGH therapy may emerge as a compelling approach for those seeking solutions for hair loss, ultimately boosting their confidence and overall quality of life. Ongoing clinical investigations are essential to establish the full spectrum of therapeutic potential and long-term safety considerations for HGH therapy in hair loss treatment. The synergy of scientific inquiry and medical innovation holds the promise of improved outcomes for individuals grappling with hair loss.

Atomix - Aldo López - Spanish - 90 / 100
It is an entry in the franchise that does not disappoint, on the contrary, it will delight both veterans and those who have never tried anything from the saga. If you were waiting for the game with complete enthusiasm, I am pleased to inform you that the purchase is a must, especially if you keep up to date with Tekken.
But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford - 9.5 / 10
Tekken 8 offers great gameplay through precise controls, gorgeous visuals, and audio that energizes the player.

Cerealkillerz - Steve Brieller - German - 9 / 10
Tekken 8's presentation is brilliant and complements the intense, more offense-oriented gameplay perfectly. Another highlight is how the game tries to introduce beginners into Tekken and gives them several tools for self-improvement, like the replay tips. On the flipside, this support doesn't include intermediates which is a missed chance. Also, the single player modes are quite short. Overall Tekken 8 still takes our place as best fighting game of the current gen as the gameplay and presentation are superb.
Checkpoint Gaming - Omi Koulas - 8 / 10
TEKKEN 8 unleashes a storm of punches, blending chaotic Mishima drama with accessible combat changes. The short story, though dramatic, loses steam, but the Heat system and Special Style redefine the fight. Arcade Quest mode injects a needed charm, offering a nostalgic journey with opportunities to grow your fighting game skills. Visually stunning with a diverse soundtrack, the game achieves a balance between the familiar and the cutting-edge. Despite a stumble in the narrative, TEKKEN 8 delivers a knockout combo.
Cultured Vultures - Ash Bates - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 appeals to both the casual and hardcore playerbase, with a great selection of modes, training tools and additional gameplay depth. 2024's fighting games are off to an excellent start.
FandomWire - Adil Farooq - 10 / 10
Compared to previous entries, Online Mode is a huge improvement. The net code has been improved a lot since Tekken 7, and that was already evident in the previous tests that the game had. Ultimately, the greatest thing about Tekken 8 is that I can picture myself playing this game for years to come. Whether that be by myself, with my friends, family, or even a complete stranger, the fight will always keep bringing me back. Tekken 8 is a fighting game masterpiece and could even be a frontrunner for the best fighting game of all time.

It almost feels clinical to say, like it's a technicality, but this is the best Tekken game I have ever played. Tekken 7 was the best, and this one is better. It gives you more of everything, bigger, louder, and better. I don't say that with one ounce of begrudgery, I am wholeheartedly in love with Tekken 8. It earns the top spot by being undeniably brilliant.

Tekken 8 offers a suitable playground for both novices and purists of the saga. Set to last, the game sets the bar very high, corrects the defaults of the previous game and greatly improves the experience. We can't wait to see how Bandai Namco will follow up in the coming months/years. A must-have for any lovers of fighting games that respects. You will not regret it.
Gamer Guides - Chris Moyse - 83 / 100
Tekken returns to the ring with a powerful new engine that sees The King of Iron Fist Tournament looking, sounding, and performing at its most majestic. Gameplay still forgoes evolution in favor of tradition, resulting in progress that is mostly skin-deep. Regardless, Tekken 8 remains a blast to play, set to keep competitive hype fires burning throughout 2024 and beyond.
God is a Geek - Chris White - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 is a welcome return for the series, with a fighting style that feels fresh through its aggressive combat, and plethora of modes.
IGN Korea - Donghun Lee - Korean - 9 / 10
The main focus of the game’s concept heavily promotes aggressiveness. So the low-risk, high-return situations have been reduced and with the addition of the Heat system, this drives players to be in reach even more, but let’s not forget that a fighting game also requires precise spacing thus making it virtually similar from its predecessor. There have been some short-cut action buttons for beginner players and plenty of content to teach the understanding of how a fighting game may be played. Of all the Tekken series in the past, this one is definitely the most beginner friendly and have designed their system in order to narrow its gap, with the hopes of keeping both the returning players as well as providing convenience to the newcomers.
IGN Spain - Mario Seijas - Spanish - 9 / 10
Tekken knows where it's coming from, and we love where it's going. The new mechanics build on a more than established foundation, and add a special flavor that will be enjoyed by newcomers and veterans alike. The Heat System is a hit, and the new arcade modes are more than welcome. A Tekken to play for thousands of hours.
INVEN - Jaihoon Jeong - Korean - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 has progressed in every aspect compared to its predecessors, from the overall narrative and direction to the depth of the system and user convenience. It is a fighting game that can provide ample enjoyment not only for long-time fans but also for new users
Kakuchopurei - Alleef Ashaari - 80 / 100
It's hard to change things too much for a fighting game franchise, but Tekken 8 ultimately does feel like a major improvement over Tekken 7. The amazing next-gen visuals, the cinematic story mode, and the new mechanics make the gameplay more fun and exciting; they're all that will make Tekken 8 a more memorable entry in the franchise. Will be as iconic of a game as Tekken 3 or Tekken 5? Only time will tell but it sure does look like it.
MondoXbox - Andrea Giuliani - Italian - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 greatly improves its proven formula: the Heat system manages to make every fight faster and adrenalinic rewarding a more aggressive style, while studying every move and training become essential parts of the experience. Bandai Namco's new game affirms itself as the new king of 3D fighters, thanks to the solid and deep gameplay that made this series unique and timeless.
Multiplayer First - Paulmichael Contreras - 9.5 / 10
Tekken 8 joins a full roster of fighting games, and competes with the best of them. Naturally, as we couldn’t take the game online during our review period, it remains to be seen how effective Bandai Namco and Akira were at implementing rollback netcode. All Tekken fans should buy Tekken 8 without hesitation, and most fighting game fans will find something to like as well. Though the year may have just started, Tekken 8 will probably compete for fighting game of the year and barring any surprises, should be the runaway winner.
One More Game - Chris Garcia - Buy
Tekken 8 makes the wait worth it by successfully introducing new systems that make sense and improve both the player's and spectator's points of view with explosive action. Newcomers will appreciate the thoughtful onboarding process while giving veteran and pro players a deep combat system to sink hundreds of hours into.
It feels like Tekken 8 has successfully taken the step to the next level, releasing an installment that's not just a simple iteration but with significant updates and changes that make it feel fresh and fun. Time will tell if the team can successfully support it the way they have with Tekken 7, but this is an extremely solid launch experience that's certainly ready for the big stage.
PC Gamer - Mollie Taylor - 89 / 100
The best Tekken game in years, let down only by its struggling netcode and aged customisation.
PSX Brasil - Portuguese - 95 / 100

PowerUp! - Adam Mathew - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 is a hugely entertaining powerhouse of a sequel that’s been well worth the wait. What else is there left to say other than get [your wallet] ready for the next battle?
Press Start - Matthew Zimmari - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 shows just how easy it is for a long-running franchise to remain fresh and relevant, while still offering a familiar experience to established fans. An engaging Story Mode coupled with Character Episodes keeps the narrative running, while Arcade Quest and Tekken Ball gives newcomers the opportunity to learn the ropes. While some fans may not like that their favourite character is missing from the roster, Tekken 8 fills the gaps with fresh new faces and the hint of more characters on the horizon. It's time to get ready for the next battle!
Push Square - Robert Ramsey - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 is a modern fighting game masterclass. It doesn't skimp on single-player modes, its online offering is robust, and it's a serious visual spectacle. But most importantly, the battles are brilliant; accessible yet deeply technical, and supremely satisfying to be a part of - perhaps more so than ever before. There's no fighting game series quite like Tekken, and Tekken 8 is the franchise at its bombastic best.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Unscored
It's a lot like Tekken 7, but angrier.
SECTOR.sk - Matúš Štrba - Slovak - 9 / 10
But Tekken 8 could be the best after the legendary third instalment. The focus on aggressive gameplay will appeal to a part of the audience. I also praise the game's openness to completely new players, who can quickly and easily get into the game thanks to the new system. I have to praise the amount of content, the very well functioning online, the extensive character appearance editor and also the huge gallery where you can unlock art, videos and other things. It's a real treat for fans and a great way to introduce newcomers to a series they'll love.
Saudi Gamer - Arabic - 10 / 10
Tekken 8 is the ultimate form of the veteran franchise that will make every Tekken player and fan proud of how much Bandai Namco have achieved with this masterpiece
Siliconera - Joel Couture - 9 / 10
There's a wealth of wonderful fighting to be had in Tekken 8, and it's a fantastic place to take your first steps into Tekken.
Spaziogames - Italian - 9.2 / 10
To put it simply, this is the best Tekken ever.
Stevivor - Steve Wright - 7 / 10
Tekken 8 will surely impress fans but I struggled to connect with it like I have Mortal Kombat 1 and Street Fighter 6. There's no denying it's a feast for the senses and is full of stuff to do... but if you're like me and haven't found Tekken memorable despite playing it across many years and many platforms, that's unlikely to change here.
The Game Crater - Chris Melnyk - 9 / 10
Whether you're a fresh face to the genre or returning to settle old grudges, Tekken 8 is absolutely for you and easily the most robust fighting game of the year.
The Outerhaven Productions - Karl Smart - 4.5 / 5
Tekken 8 is a solid outing for the Unreal 5 engine, using it to improve the already impressive graphics we had with Tekken 7. The gameplay is solid with a lot of modes for you to play for hours on end. However, PC users should be warned that their version may have frame rate issues. If these issues are patched, then Tekken 8 will be the best fighting game on the market.
TheSixthAxis - Nick Petrasiti - 9 / 10
Tekken 8 has started 2024 off with a bang, proving once again why this fighting series is great! It's maybe not quite as newcomer friendly as Street Fighter 6, but has a bevy of modes and new tweaks that means it's going in the right direction to be a game for all players, old and new, and will only get better over time.
Tom's Hardware Italia - Giulia Serena - Italian - 9 / 10
Bandai Namco has succeeded in achieving its goal: Tekken 8 oozes next-gen from every pore (or rather, pixel). From the completely overhauled characters to the more cinematic settings than ever before, via the spectacular story footage, every frame has been taken care of to the finest detail, resulting in an impressive piece of work.
VGC - Chris Scullion - 5 / 5
Tekken 8 is a sensational sequel. With a renewed emphasis on single-player modes and a new Heat mechanic which ensures fights are more frenetic, it's up there with Tekken 3 as one of the most exciting high points in the series.
VideoGamer - Alex Raisbeck - 10 / 10
Tekken 8 is the ultimate Tekken game. A glossy veneer of modernity encases a strong foundation that builds upon its predecessors to great success. In every regard, Tekken 8 matches and surpasses the very best that the series, and the fighting game genre as a whole, has to offer.
XboxEra - Genghis Husameddin - 9.5 / 10
TEKKEN 8 is an outstanding fighting game. An extremely strong 3D fighter with lots of offline content, strong core mechanics, and all around a fun and stylish game. TEKKEN continues to show the world why it's the winner of the Iron Fist Tournament.
Zoomg - Arais Nazarian - Persian - 9 / 10
Bandai Namco brings all its experience in creating the fighting games to Tekken 8 and result is simply amazing. High paced and fun gameplay with great characters is combined with beautiful visuals and enjoyable music. overall Tekken 8 is a great fighting game.

2024.01.14 13:25 Kimosabae Yo, "Ted" is... REALLY good.

For context; I've never seen the films.
Feels like Seth McFarlane projects gets a lot of crap these days - especially in online spaces. I get that Family Guy has probably overstayed its welcome at this point - but it's clear it's not a passion project for that crew anymore and the studio just wants the show running ad infinitum like "The Simpsons" (though, I do think the quality has slightly increased recently).
Feels like Ted is something McFarlane is actually passionate about and allows him to write the kind of jokes that wouldn't work on a prime time FOX TV slot.
It's essentially Live-Action Family Guy, with the brilliant acerbic wit the original 3 seasons of that show brought us back in the early aughts.
The jokes don't always land for me but they always feel clever.
I really like this.

*edit*
Also, I really appreciate the CG work on Ted himself. It's really some of the best work I've seen, which is a bit extraordinary in consideration of it being a television show.
He fits naturally into every scene and is in just about every scene. I have to wonder what the production pipeline for the show is and what the wait between seasons will be like, assuming this gets renewed.
*edit 2*
Oh yeah, this might be a bit controversial, but I'm going to try and articulate this as carefully as possible... I really like how the magnetism of the cast can be measured more in Teslas and less in HGH and Silicone.
The cast just mostly look like normal-fucking-people and not a cast full of supermodels. This feels intentional and I really appreciate that.
This isn't me calling anyone in the cast "ugly" or not-good looking, or anything like that.
I hope that makes sense and doesn't come across as offensive.

2023.08.10 15:30 healthy-Tip02 Dry Fasting Benefits Explained 2023

Dry Fasting Benefits Explained 2023

Introduction to Dry Fasting

Dry fasting is an ancient practice involving abstention from both food and water for a specific period. Its popularity is on the rise, and there's good science to back it up!
A remarkable advantage of dry fasting is its potential for weight management. When you abstain from consuming food and water, your body starts utilizing stored fat for energy, resulting in significant weight loss over time. Studies show that dry fasting can also improve blood lipids, glucose, and cholesterol levels. It can enhance immune function, promote bone health, and regulate the hormone PTH. Moreover, intermittent dry fasting can stimulate cell regeneration and decelerate aging. It can enhance skin and brain health by promoting autophagy and increasing the production of BDNF.
However, it's crucial to remember that dry fasting can lead to side effects like fatigue, headaches, poor focus, and reduced urination. It can escalate the risk of UTIs and kidney stones and may result in nutrient deficiencies, dry mouth, and lips. So, while dry fasting has multiple benefits, it's important to approach it with prudence and under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Explanation of the concept

Dry fasting, or complete fast, entails abstention from both food and water. This practice has roots in various cultures and religions over centuries. During dry fasting, your body enters a state of dehydration, triggering a cellular repair and rejuvenation process called autophagy. Dry fasting has been found to reduce inflammation, enhance brain function, regulate blood sugar, and promote weight loss.
One unique aspect of dry fasting is its potential effect on osteoporosis, as the lack of hydration prompts the body to utilize its calcium reserves stored in the bones. It can also contribute to skin health by reducing wrinkles and enhancing elasticity. The spiritual benefits of dry fasting are also gaining attention due to its unconventional approach.
If you're ready for a challenge or simply looking to introduce a new health practice, consider incorporating intermittent dry fasting into your routine, but do so with caution. It's vital to seek guidance from a healthcare professional or a reliable app like Lasta, as excessive dehydration can lead to serious health issues like kidney failure. Don't miss this opportunity to rejuvenate your body and mind with this time-tested practice!

Importance of preparation before attempting dry fasting

Before diving into a dry fast, it's critical to prepare adequately. Proper preparation ensures safety and enhances the effectiveness of the dry fast, a phase known as pre-fast preparation.
A vital step during pre-fast preparation is to consume enough water and electrolytes while gradually decreasing food intake. This helps ready the body for the absence of food and drink during the dry fast.
Another crucial part of pre-fast preparation is slowly reducing your carbohydrate intake and sticking to a nutrient-rich diet. This helps your body adjust to using stored energy reserves effectively, facilitating a smoother transition into the dry
Additionally, proper planning during pre-fast preparation time includes avoiding intense physical activity to optimize efficiency after starting the dry fast, reducing brain cells' stress levels as well as enhancing skin benefits.
💡Pro Tip: Speaking with a healthcare expert who can advise you on potential health risks associated with intermittent fasting, particularly prolonged fasting periods, and support you throughout the process can be quite beneficial.

How Does Dry Fasting Work?

Dry fasting requires abstaining from food and water for a certain period, which triggers a shift in body metabolism. During dry fasting, the body moves into a state of ketosis where it begins to convert fat into energy, which is then used for various bodily functions. This process helps the body to detoxify and burn fat more effectively, resulting in various health benefits.
Dry fasting also triggers a process called autophagy, which is the body's way of removing damaged cells and replacing them with new ones. This process boosts immune function and supports anti-aging by stimulating the production of growth hormone.
Furthermore, dry fasting has been shown to improve mental clarity, reduce inflammation, and enhance cardiovascular health. It may also improve blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and insulin sensitivity.
💡Pro Tip: Dry fasting may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with certain medical conditions. Consult with a healthcare professional before trying it.
Incorporating keywords: For those interested in dry fasting, it may be beneficial to use the Lasta app to track progress and monitor any potential health changes.

The impact of dry fasting on body processes

Dry fasting impacts various physiological processes in the body, including metabolism, autophagy, and cellular repair mechanisms. Studies suggest that dry fasting can promote weight loss, enhance digestive function, and improve the immune system by reducing inflammation.
During dry fasting, the body switches to a state of ketosis, where it burns fat for energy instead of glucose. This results in rapid weight loss as stored body fat is utilized for energy. Moreover, the lack of food intake triggers autophagy - a cellular housekeeping process that removes damaged cells and proteins from the body.
Additionally, dry fasting supports increased digestive function by resetting the intestines and promoting beneficial gut bacteria growth. Moreover, it activates stem cells' regeneration and enhances the body's immune response by reducing inflammation- which plays an essential role in supporting overall health.
To reap maximum benefits from dry fasting:
  1. Begin with shorter fasts of 12 to 24 hours before attempting extended periods of fasting.
  2. Stay hydrated with water during fasts or consume electrolyte-infused drinks to prevent dehydration.
  3. Last, break your fast gradually with easily digestible foods such as fruits and vegetables to avoid any discomfort or adverse reactions.

The scientific explanation of how dry fasting works

Dry fasting operates by eliminating the consumption of food and liquids, however, how it works scientifically is variously debated amongst experts. The reason being that molecular-level changes happening in the body during dry fasting are multifaceted and involve numerous interconnected processes.
During dry fasts, due to a lack of water intake, the body initiates metabolic adaptations and conserves energy through autophagy stimulated by limited growth factor activation, where healthy cells divide and turn into fuel for storing cellular energy. Cellular waste is eliminated through apoptosis, which further contributes to cleansing metabolic pathways in the body. Finally, ketosis ensues wherein stored fat reserves serve as the primary source of bodily fuel.
Contrary to testimonial claims made on social media platforms about its long-term safety benefits, there isn't enough current scientific research data available about the long-term effects of dry fasting or even its short term effects on human health.
According to the National Health Service (NHS) of Britain - "extending a fast beyond 24 hours could have an adverse effect on your health".

The Benefits of Dry Fasting

Dry fasting offers several benefits to an individual's physical and mental health. It can:
Additionally, it aids in promoting autophagy, which is a natural cellular regeneration process that helps improve immune system function, reduce inflammation and boost energy levels.
💡Pro Tip: It is important to prepare your body before attempting dry fasting by reducing food intake and drinking plenty of water. Moreover, it is always recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before trying any kind of fasting.

The top 9 benefits of dry fasting

Dry fasting is a practice in which an individual abstains from both food and water for a period of time. This practice has been gaining popularity due to the significant benefits it provides to the human body and mind.
  1. Increased weight loss: Dry fasting has been found to be more effective than other forms of fasting or dieting for weight loss, as it leads to quicker fat burning.
  2. Improved digestion: Without the intake of food and water, the digestive system gets a break, leading to improved gut health and reduced inflammation.
  3. Detoxification: Dry fasting promotes the elimination of toxins from the body since it forces cells into "repair mode".
  4. Increased energy levels: The absence of food and water leads to an extra surge of natural energy in the body, improving overall alertness and productivity.
  5. Better immune function: By reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in cells, dry fasting can significantly improve immune function.

Helps to Grow New Brain Cells

Dry fasting has been associated with stimulating neurogenesis, which is the process of generating new brain cells. This benefit can be attributed to the body's response to the absence of fluids and food during dry fasting.
Studies have shown that during this state, the production of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), a protein that promotes the growth and survival of neurons, increases significantly. Additionally, Autophagy, a cellular recycling process where damaged or dysfunctional components are removed from cells, enhances during dry fasting.
Through these processes, dry fasting can help in improving cognitive function and prevent age-related neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's.
Moreover, by boosting brain cell production, dry fasting helps repair any damage caused by toxins and stressors in our daily lives. As a result, 'Helps to Grow New Brain Cells' not only improves mental performance but also supports overall health.
In ancient history, 'dry fasting' has been part of spiritual practices for centuries. Monks used it as a way to purify their minds and bodies while boosting their mental clarity. In modern times, this practice has gained popularity among proponents of natural healing modalities aiming to improve health outcomes.

Prevents Osteoporosis

Studies show that regular dry fasting can help prevent the development of bone-related diseases such as osteoporosis. This is because when an individual undergoes dry fasting, metabolism shifts to survival mode, and focuses on preserving essential organs like the bones. This results in the body's production of new bone tissue to maintain structural integrity.
Dry fasting stimulates autophagy, a natural detoxification process where damaged cells are eliminated, improving the overall quality of bone density. It also aids in reducing inflammation caused by cellular damage, reducing the risk of bone degeneration.
Additionally, during dry fasting, hormones like human growth hormone (HGH) increase which play a pivotal role in maintaining bone health by stimulating bone mass growth and repair processes.
It has been observed that consistent practice of dry fasting at intermittent intervals leads to an improvement in overall physical health, mental clarity, and reduction in inflammation which contributes significantly to preventing degenerative issues and diseases.
💡Pro Tip: Integrate minerals such as calcium and vitamin D along with proper hydration into your diet for effective prevention against osteoporosis.
I dry fast so I can have my cake and eat it too - with a side of cell regeneration and reduced inflammation.

Cell Regeneration

Dry fasting has been associated with various health benefits, including cellular rejuvenation. During dry fasting, the body undergoes a process known as autophagy, where it breaks down damaged cells and toxins in the body. This process helps to remove old or dysfunctional cells that can lead to chronic diseases and infections.
Through autophagy, dry fasting stimulates cell regeneration by triggering stem cell growth. Stem cells are unique biological cells that have the potential to regenerate damaged tissues and organs in the body. Therefore, stem cell growth is essential for tissue repair and maintaining healthy bodily functions.
Moreover, cell regeneration also plays a vital role in slowing down the ageing process. As we age, our bodies produce fewer stem cells which affect our ability to repair tissues and heal from injuries. However, through dry fasting, individuals can trigger their bodies to produce more stem cells leading to reduced ageing effects.
Recent studies have shown that sporadic episodes of dry fasting could enhance neural autophagy and improve cognitive functioning such as memory and overall brain performance.
A study published in the Journal of Translational Medicine found that intermittent dry fasting helped reduce oxidative stress markers while increasing enzymatic antioxidant activity among other benefits.
In summary, by triggering the autophagic process and promoting stem cell growth within the body via dry fasting regimens yield various benefits including better cellular regeneration leading to improved overall health.

Reduced Inflammation

Dry fasting has scientifically-proven benefits that can help with inflammation reduction. During dry fasting, the body starts to release fat and autophagy processes occur, which can reduce inflammation as well as toxins in the body. Additionally, since the kidneys run on water, they will filter out more toxic substances during dry fasting, potentially leading to a decrease in inflammation.
Furthermore, studies have shown that a decrease in calorie intake is connected to decreased levels of inflammatory markers in the body. Since dry fasting promotes a caloric restriction and the body goes into an anti-inflammatory mode during this period, it could also explain why it promotes decreased inflammation.
💡Pro Tip: Consulting with a healthcare professional before starting a dry fast could be beneficial for some individuals.

Skin Benefits

Dry fasting has multiple benefits for the human body, including advanced 'dermatological advantages.' It promotes healthy and clear skin by eliminating toxins from the body that may cause acne, blemishes, and other skin conditions. When the body is in a state of dry fasting, it triggers an autophagy process that removes dead cells, damaged tissues and renews your overall appearance.
This unique feature of dry fasting changes the skin's texture while also boosting its elasticity. The regular practice of dry fasting rejuvenates complexion, leaving you with an even and glowing radiance. It reduces puffiness around the eyes and fades fine lines making you look younger than before.
One lesser-known benefit is how quickly one can observe changes in their complexion through feedback from others. With dry fasting's ability to create brighter and vibrant skin free from many defects in short periods, users have considerably reported being praised by their social circles.
History reports support this ancient technique originated long ago; legend has it that Egyptians would fast for various reasons not limited to health alone but also believed to improve spirituality. Over time Eastern traditions such as Jainism included dry fasting to cleanse both the mind & spirit effectively. Today millions worldwide utilize this method as a modern-day solution to obtain complete dermal balance naturally.

Dry Fasting vs Water Fasting: Is Dry or Wet Better?

Introduction

All you need to know about the differences between water fasting and dry fasting. Dry fasting is a secretive art of fasting that is slowly gaining popularity. It breaks my heart to know that there are so many people who could have improved their health, armed with this knowledge.
The common saying that we’ve all heard before says that you can only go 3 days without water. Dry fasters have proven this wrong over and over again. Knowing this, we need to dive deeper between both wet and dry fasts. We’ll analyze dry fasting vs water fasting in this article.

What is dry fasting?

Dry fasting is a type of fasting where individuals abstain from both food and water for a certain period. Unlike traditional fasting, which restricts food intake, or water fasting, which restricts water intake, dry fasting requires the body to rely on its internal water reserves and metabolic reactions for energy. With roots dating back to ancient times for religious and spiritual purposes, dry fasting has potential health benefits such as reducing inflammation, improving metabolic health, and increasing longevity.
However, the risks, including dehydration, kidney stones, and urinary tract infections are there if you don't approach it correctly. Dry fasting durations vary, with some people opting for 24-hour fasts while others choosing longer periods.
It is crucial to stay hydrated before and after dry fasting and to consult with a medical professional beforehand, especially if one has underlying health conditions. When done properly, dry fasting can contribute to overall physical and mental well-being. It is the strongest type of fasting available, and some healing mechanisms can only occur while dry fasting. A 7-day dry fast is comparable to a 21-day water fast.

Five Facts About Dry Fasting vs Water Fasting:

✅ Dry fasting involves abstaining from both food and water, while water fasting involves drinking only water and abstaining from food.
✅ Dry fasting is believed to have more intense detoxification benefits than water fasting, but can also be more challenging to undertake.
✅ Water fasting is generally considered safer and easier to complete than dry fasting, and is often used for short-term weight loss or as a therapeutic intervention.
Both dry fasting and water fasting can lead to side effects such as fatigue, headache, and lightheadedness, especially for beginners.
✅ It is important to consult with a healthcare professional before attempting either type of fasting, especially for those with underlying health conditions.

Dry fast or water fast?

If you’re considering trying a fasting diet and intermittent fasting is too easy, you may be wondering whether to do a soft dry fast or a water fast.
So which is right for you? If you’re looking to cleanse your body and reset your system, a water fast may be the way to go. But if you’re serious about shedding some pounds, a dry fast may be more effective. Ultimately, the decision is up to you. If you're worried about dehydration on a dry fast, then rest assured you're not the only one. The topic of dehydration needs to be discussed more deeply and you can read about it here.
I used dry fasting to heal my Long Covid that the medical community either ignored or pretended did not exist. If I had the dry fasting experience with me at the start of the pandemic, I could have prevented a lot of damage to my body and a lot of stress. This is coming from someone who has water fasted for well over 13 years prior to the pandemic. I believed that water fasting was the ace in my pocket, but boy was I mistaken. Choosing between Dry Fasting and Water Fasting

Choosing Your Fasting Method: Dry or Water?
Fasting can be a powerful practice for health, but choosing the right method can make all the difference. Here are six factors to consider when deciding between dry fasting and water fasting:
  • Length of time: Dry fasting is typically shorter than water fasting due to the lack of hydration, so consider how long you want to fast.
  • Health conditions: Dry fasting is not recommended for those with certain health conditions, so consult with your doctor before choosing a method.
  • Goals: Dry fasting may have a more immediate impact on weight loss and detoxification, while water fasting may have longer-lasting effects on overall health.
  • Experience level: Dry fasting can be more challenging and should only be attempted by those with previous fasting experience.
  • Comfort level: Water fasting may be easier to manage due to the hydration it provides, while dry fasting can be more mentally challenging.
  • Lifestyle fit: Consider your daily routine and whether dry or water fasting would be more feasible and comfortable for you.
It's important to note that while dry fasting may have unique benefits, it also carries potential risks and should only be attempted with caution and proper guidance.
Beyond these factors, it's worth noting that fasting is a deeply personal practice and what works for one person may not work for another. Listen to your body and prioritize your overall health and well-being when choosing your fasting method.
In a recent study, a woman tried both dry and water fasting for various reasons and found that both methods had unique benefits for her. While dry fasting was more challenging, it also helped her focus and boost her energy levels, while water fasting had longer-lasting effects on her overall health and well-being.

Dry Fasting vs. Water Fasting Comparison

Dry fasting is a type of fasting that involves abstaining from both food and water whereas water fasting entails only avoiding food and consuming water. To better understand the differences between these two types of fasting, we have created a comparison table.

https://preview.redd.it/ur0a6nigppcb1.png?width=579&format=png&auto=webp&s=7cb92eb38cf70fd8c603dfccb5613d2d76f95686
It's worth noting that dry fasting is a more intense form of fasting that can lead to rapid weight loss and increased detoxification.

Dry Fasting vs Water Fasting and Dehydration

Dry fasting speeds up the process of metabolic water creation. This is the body's natural way of creating its own water. Your body can create water from both proteins and fat. Dry fasting has shown that it can produce up to 6x more metabolic water than normal processes.
Look at the study below and witness how water fasting actually kept most of the fat on the zebra finches, as opposed to the ones who dry fasted. This means that maintaining high water intake actually slows down fat metabolism and instead speeds up protein metabolism. Uh oh.

https://preview.redd.it/ogyn0lamppcb1.png?width=449&format=png&auto=webp&s=81fdcabacc794e11e8c9dba4ff7889a9642bdac4
These findings are pretty intense. The dry-fasted zebra finches also had a higher water content (% carcass lean mass), than the control study, indicating that metabolic water was more powerful than just average amounts of water throughout the day. Not only that but look at how much lower the total body fat (g) was for the No Food or water group. This indicates that water reserves play a direct role in fat catabolism. This is a two pronged attack. You get to burn fat and at the same time hyper increase your blood ketones which will improve your immune system reaction time and intensity.
Our bodies are more powerful than we think. Science is still lagging behind this information, and may for many years to come. We're starting to see a lot more water-fasting research papers coming out year after year, but even those are limited in the number of days.
It's very hard from both a reporting and ethical perspective to get these trials organizes, approved, funded, and executed correctly. I think it's safe to say that we won't see dry fasting research studies for an even longer time. This is where we must analyze as much anecdotal evidence as possible, and when you decide to give dry fasting a try, make sure you sign up with a mentor.
Please note that everyone’s stages and experiences with dry fasting may vary depending on many factors. For example, the more sick your body is, the more detox symptoms may occur. This is why it is always beneficial to have a coach guide you. Paying a fee to make sure you are properly guided is extremely beneficial, can save you months of trial and error, speed up recovery, efficiency, and prevent damage.

Comparing timelines for Water and Dry fasting

As you get more in touch with your body, you’ll start to understand what’s going on with it better. This can make fasting more successful. Here’s a rundown of what happens to your body hour-by-hour when you fast:

💦 Stages of Water Fasting

This is assuming you are NOT on a keto diet prior to starting your fast
  • Day 1 [8 hours] – Your stomach is now empty and blood sugar levels are dropping.
  • Day 1 [12 hours] – Most of the food has been burned up. The body is still using sugars and stored glycogen.
  • Day 1 [24 hours] – Mild autophagy begins. HGH levels rise. Ketones are present in the blood.
  • Day 2 [48 hours] – Moderate autophagy, the immune system is strengthened without having to focus on the digestive system, you may start getting keto flu symptoms.
  • Day 3 [72 hours] – DEEP KETOSIS starts and start scaling up until day 6: Autophagy maxes out. The immune system begins to reset and regenerate. This is the difference, in a dry fast you scale until day 3 instead of day 6 thereby getting there at least 2x faster.
  • Day 6 [144 hours] – FIRST ACIDOTIC CRISIS BEGINS: Deep healing commences. Urge to eat goes away. The body enters a high enough threshold of acidity that the chain of healing mechanisms are set off. To go through this acidotic crisis, you may have to continue until day 15.
https://www.dryfastingclub.com/what-is-the-acidotic-crisis-in-dry-fasting-and-water-fasting/

☀️ Stages of Dry Fasting

  • Day 1 [8 hours] – Your stomach is now close to empty of dietary glucose and blood sugar levels are dropping. Your food has gone through its digestive cycle. See Post-absorptive phase I of Ketosis and Starvation.
  • Day 1 [12 hours] – Most of the food has been burned up. The body is still using sugars and stored glycogen. The stored glycogen is ramping up as part of phase II but still in phase I. As the glycogen is released into glucose (glycolysis), the still thinks you have enough liver glycogen so it doesn't worry yet, and engages generic microautophagy, and some macroautophagy.
  • Day 1 [24 hours] – Moderate autophagy begins. HGH levels rise. Ketones are present in the blood. Hunger starts to disappear. Notice as the body starts to run out of exogenous water, it is required to produce its own water and must consume fat cells quicker. The body panics. Water is a critical part of the body's metabolic processes. Lucky for us, the innate instinct of the body let's it realize that it needs to start burning fat along with protein. This is a marked difference to water fasting where the body realizes the water stores are NOT under attack, so it does not have to scramble as fast to catabolize fat.
  • Day 2 [48 hours] – Autophagy increases drastically, (DEEP KETOSIS)the immune system is strengthened without having to focus on the digestive system, you may start getting keto flu symptoms. The body has entered into full steam ahead for fat burning. This means that the ketone levels in your urine will have skyrocketed in orders of magnitude larger than if you were water fasting. I always advise the fasters that I mentor this. You are sparing more muscle already by day 2 on a dry fast. And this will be reflected in the mirror when you do your check ins. Because the electrolyte stores are being dropped due to no moe glycogen, you will still see larger urine outflow.
  • Day 3 [72 hours] – FIRST ACIDOTIC CRISIS: Deep healing commences. The urge to eat goes away. The urge to drink water increases. You can see that the acidotic crisis is achieved much faster than water fasting. Make sure you read more about the acidotic crisis as it is a crucial part of every fast, both water and dry.
  • Day 6 [144 hours] – FIRST ACIDOTIC CRISIS ENDS: It is ideal to break your extended dry fast at this stage if you are looking to heal severe disease. This stage will be different for different people based on many factors. It is good to have a coach to help you identify what you should be looking for.

Benefits of dry fasting vs water fasting

When comparing both dry fast health benefits and water fast health benefits, we start to see a pattern emerge. Both wet and dry fasts wield similar health benefits, but when you don’t eat or drink you start to see some accelerated benefits. Let’s go through the benefits one by one and try to pinpoint at what stage they come into play for both fasts.
Here are six benefits to consider when contemplating which method suits you best:
  • Improved digestion and gut health as the digestive system gets a break to rest and heal.
  • Rejuvenation of cells and tissues due to an increase in stem cell production.
  • Boosts to the immune system as fasting strengthens the body's natural defense mechanisms.
  • Weight loss as the body burns stored fat to use as fuel in the absence of food.
  • Better mental clarity and focus as fasting decreases inflammation in the brain.
  • Increased energy and vitality as the body rids itself of toxins, and hormonal balance improves.

🌊 Benefits of Water Fasting

Water fasting, a type of dietary regimen where one consumes only water for a specific period, has several health benefits associated with it:
  • Helps in weight loss.
  • Improves insulin sensitivity and lowers the risk of diabetes.
  • Promotes cell regeneration and helps maintain healthy skin.
  • Increases mental clarity and focus.
Additionally, water fasting aids in reducing inflammation, promoting autophagy, and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Furthermore, to reap maximum benefits from the water fast, it's essential to stay well-hydrated before, during, and after the fast. Incorporating light exercises or yoga asanas can also help hasten detoxification.

🌜 Weight loss: dry vs water fast

You will lose more weight dry fasting than water fasting. This is actually surprising to many people because water is a non-caloric drink. The common assumption is that if you are not taking in any calories, you will lose weight based on your expended calories.
It is quite common to lose up to 1kg (2.2lbs) of weight per day on a dry fast. The reasoning behind the greater weight loss is that without endogenous water, your body must find internal reserves of it. Fat cells can produce a lot of water. A common saying is that fat cells are 90% water, which is funny from a scientific perspective, as fat cells contain almost no actual water.
The water is produced when a chemical reaction occurs that splits the fat cell to provide glycerol. The reaction releases more water than a reaction that catabolizes protein. Read about these numbers from this research paper that tested water fasting vs dry fasting on zebra finches. So, by replenishing water stores, your body is forced to consume extra fat cells, and you lose weight VERY quickly.

🦠 Immune system: dry vs water fast

There is some evidence that fasting may help to strengthen the body’s immune system. The theory is that fasting and not eating and/or drinking any water will “reset” the immune system by removing damaged cells. This then allows the body to regenerate new ones.
Additionally, limiting calorie intake has been shown to improve inflammation, which in turn protects the immune system. It is thought that complete caloric restriction would have similar results. Since water fasting stages tend to appear faster than water fasting, we can assume that the immune benefits of dry fasting are more pronounced if done in the same period of time.

https://preview.redd.it/607401v1qpcb1.png?width=441&format=png&auto=webp&s=8a7830647e23b7d24b669bf24a632947f3a982d2
A lot of people swear by dry fasting to quickly put a stop to viral illnesses. The jury's out on this, but from the high amount of anecdotal evidence, it seems that if you can catch the symptoms quickly you can stop it in its tracks.
The dry fast creates such an inhospitable environment and deploys a massive amount of ketones into the blood 3x faster than a water fast would. This in turn acidifies the body, thereby energizing and activating lysosomes which can quickly target the virus that is still in its infancy. Think of it like dealing with a zombie infection before it gets out of hand.

👻 Spiritual: dry vs water fast

Some people say that fasting can also help to enhance spirituality. This may be related to the practice of religious fasting. Supporters have reported several spiritual benefits, including increased gratitude, deeper faith, improved awareness, and opportunity for prayer.
Allegedly, both religious and non-religious people have reported experiencing spiritual benefits after fasting. The defining difference between wet and dry fasting when it comes to spirituality is that in one you build a relationship to not eating, while the other does a more aggressive approach that builds a relationship to not drinking water. Water is slightly milder, while dry is slightly more aggressive.
This aspect is also correlated to the intensity of dry fasting. A lot of dry fasters enjoy being very mindful during their fast and connecting with a higher self. Many Ayurvedic traditions require a day of dry fasting or water fasting before participating in their ceremonies. Water fasting is less intense and better for the beginner, but if you're looking for a deeper connection, dry fasting is the answer.

🔥 Do you lose more fat during dry fasting?

Many people fast in order to reduce body fat in an instant and reduce their weight quickly. Very experienced fast practitioners often prefer dry-fasting rather than water-fasting and are more likely to succeed. It’s important to remember that most research is based on water fasting, as there is very little actual research on extended dry fasting.

We have evidence from the zebra finch research paper that fat catabolism is augmented during dry fasting. During the study, they identified nearly 10x more fat being burned during a dry fast compared to a water fast. The anecdotal evidence definitely points to more fat loss during dry fasting. One of the less-mentioned amazing benefits is that it also preserves muscle better. This is because, with such quick fat burn, you don't need to fast as long. By not fasting as long, you automatically decrease the amount of muscle loss that you would normally lose.

🫘 Is wet or dry fasting better for the kidneys?

Without much evidence in the form of research when it comes to dry fasting and kidney function, the popular theory in the dry fasting community is that it is actually healthier for your kidneys to dry fast. The reasoning behind it is that having your body create metabolic water from your fat cells, puts less pressure on your kidneys to clean exogenous toxins from your ingested water.
To put it simply, your fat cells already have endogenous water inside of them that has ALREADY been cleaned by your kidneys once. Releasing it means that your kidneys do not need to clean this source of water.
Another reason is that the thermal reactions in each cell produce less waste. The third reason pertains to not losing as many electrolytes while dry fasting because you are not constantly flushing your body. Be that as it may, without rigorous research we will never know the scientific consensus and it will remain a bit of a guessing game.
However, all of this goes out of the window if you push your body into extreme dehydration during the dry fast. You want to allow your body to stay in a state of natural rehydration from your own fat cells. This means that once you are fully in endogenous water production, you need to avoid strenuous activity.
Kidney damage with extreme dehydration is discussed more in the following posts:

📅 How many days can you dry fast vs water fast?

Every person is different. So the question ‘how many days can you fast’ is subjective. The road to extended fasting should be taken one step at a time and you should always discuss this with your medical doctor.
The longest recorded water fasts have gone past 30-40 days, while some of the longest dry fasts have gone from 11-15 days. These are extreme amounts and in no way what you should be striving for, especially right out of the gate. It’s quite clear that you cannot dry fast as long as you can water fast.
The average experienced faster will aim to enter the acidotic crisis and try their best to reach the end of it. For dry fasting that is between 3-7 days, and for water fasting that is 7-14 days. If you are dealing with severe illnesses where the medical community has abandoned you to simply trying to treat the symptoms and not cure you, then dry fasting may be an option.
In some of these cases, you are required to work your way up to 7-9 day dry fasts. This should never be done quickly, because it requires the body to build up a tolerance and for you to build up experience and knowledge.

Please note that everyone’s stages and experiences with dry fasting may vary depending on many factors. For example, the more sick your body is, the more detox symptoms may occur. This is why it is always beneficial to have a coach guide you. Feel free to message the dry fasting club through Instagram or Twitter when seeking a coach. I may be able to help you, but usually, due to lack of time, I can recommend some other great coaches. Paying a fee to make sure you are properly guided is extremely beneficial, can save you months of trial and error, speed up recovery, efficiency, and prevent damage. Regardless, the dry fasting club aims to provide enough information to give beginners a great start to solo this journey as well.

Description of Dry Fasting

Dry Fasting is a complete abstinence from food and fluids, including water. This form of fasting requires utmost discipline and perseverance as it can last for up to 24 hours or more. It is different from other types of fasting since it does not allow any intake of liquids, making the body entirely deprived of any hydration.
During dry fasting, the body uses its reserve water in cells and glucose stored in the liver contributing to weight loss; it also autophagically regenerates cells through renewing damaged tissues. However, dry fasting could lead to severe dehydration when undertaken recklessly.
Missing out on the benefits of dry fasting would be disheartening to anyone willing to indulge despite the challenging ordeal. Hence due diligence is taken to prevent possible shortcomings that can arise during such an intensive session.
Read about the Dangers of dry fasting here so that you know how best to prepare.

Purpose of Dry Fast

Dry fasting is a practice of abstaining from both food and water for a certain period. It serves as a detoxification process, boosts the immune system and enhances overall well-being. It is believed that dry fasting promotes autophagy, which helps in repairing damaged tissues in the body.
It is important to note that dry fasting can be dangerous when done for prolonged periods without proper guidance or medical supervision. Individuals with pre-existing health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney problems should not attempt it on their own.
Additionally, it is essential to break the fast carefully by consuming small amounts of water followed by easily digestible foods such as fruits and vegetables. This helps in rehydrating the body and preventing any adverse effects.
It has been observed that several cultures have been practicing dry fasting for centuries for spiritual, medicinal, or therapeutic purposes. However, before attempting it, one must consult a qualified medical practitioner to determine whether they are fit enough to undertake this diet plan.
"I tried water fasting once, but my inner dialogue was so loud that I broke the silence in under an hour."

Types of Dry Fast

Dry Fasting Methods
Different types of dry fasting have been used for centuries as part of various religious and spiritual practices. Dry fasting refers to the complete abstinence from both water and foods, even during a specific period or duration.
For reference, we have provided a table below to identify some of the most commonly-used dry fasting methods.

https://preview.redd.it/ttg027djqpcb1.png?width=450&format=png&auto=webp&s=b6969f815f13dfabfa2ed73e86d780aaa90ef520
While these types of dry fasts might seem extreme, they are not uncommon in certain countries and cultures concerning their spiritual and ritual practices.
Dry Fasting has religious roots going back longer than recorded history with Christians recording instances in the 1st century AD about people observed fasting without taking either food or water. Today it has survived through generations, becoming a symbolization of self-control and self-discipline as embodied in several religions across the globe like Islam (Ramadan), Judaism (Yom Kippur), and Christianity (Lent).

Description of Water Fasting

Water Fasting: A Detailed Guide
Water fasting is a type of fasting that involves abstaining from all food and drinks except for water. This practice has been around for centuries and is often done for religious, spiritual, or health reasons. During the fast, the body enters a state of ketosis, where it burns stored fat for energy. The duration of a water fast can vary from a few days to several weeks, depending on individual goals and physical health.
During the first few days of a water fast, people typically experience symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, and dizziness as their body adjusts to the reduced calorie intake. However, many people report feeling increased mental clarity and improved digestion following the fast.
It is important to prepare properly before beginning a water fast and to consult with a healthcare professional beforehand if you have any underlying health conditions. It is also recommended that you break your fast gradually by consuming small amounts of easily digestible foods such as soups or broths.

Purpose of a Water Fast

The primary aim of this process is to cleanse the body and help it renew itself by getting rid of toxins and promoting weight loss.
The process typically requires an individual to abstain from food for a duration ranging from 24 to 72 hours. During this period, drinking only water is allowed. This method helps reset the metabolism, regulate blood sugar levels, enhance mental clarity and reduce stress.
Additionally, water fasting has also been linked with numerous health benefits like reducing inflammation in the body, improving overall wellbeing and boosting immunity. However, care should be taken regarding various factors before indulging in it.

The differences between ending a dry-fast vs water-fast

You need to be aware that your approach to ending a dry fast vs a water fast is a little different.

☀️ How to break a dry-fast safely and what to eat?

When you break a dry fast, there are certain steps you should take to do it safely. For example, after not drinking any water for a period of time, you should have a glass of water. But drink it slowly so your body can adjust to the sudden inflow of liquid.
Make sure you check out the protocols page which highlights different protocols for refeeding and preparing for a dry fast. Highly informative and you can print out the table and stick it on your fridge!
https://www.dryfastingclub.com/protocols/
After your first glass of water, don’t have any more liquids for the next hour or two. Take small sips to prevent bloating. You’ll start to feel more energetic as you drink more water. When it comes to food, eating healthy and nutritious meals is important. So breaking your fast with a big meal from your favorite pizza place isn’t the best idea.

💦 How to break a water fast safely and what to eat?

If you’re tempted to break your fast with a huge meal, resist the urge. Even though you’ve been drinking water, your digestive system needs to start slowly. Research shows that it’s best to break your fast with a small, gentle meal. This will help your body break down food more easily and prevent it from feeling overwhelmed.
Some of the foods we recommend include Smoothies, Dried fruits, Soups, Vegetables, Fermented foods, and Healthy fats. Eating healthy foods after fasting will help your body replenish the important nutrients it missed out on during the fast.
Breaking a water fast compared to a dry fast is a relatively easier step. Because dry fasting shuts down the digestive system twice as intensely, you must first take careful steps to rehydrate.

The bottom line

Both dry fasting and water fasting are powerful mechanisms for health. If you’re looking to fast for health benefits or for weight loss, drinking water will provide it as well. Research in dry fasting is still lacking because it seems unethical to dehydrate your test subjects.
Most of the research comes from healthy individuals tested during the month of Ramadan. Everyone new to fasting is recommended to start with intermittent fasting, then move on to water fasting. If they’re looking for something a little more extreme, then dry fasting is the ultimate step. Always listen to your body and don’t rush any form of fasting.

Benefits of Taking the Supplement Revive Daily

The natural elements included in the formulation of the Revive Daily GH and Sleep Support supplement offer a calming and relaxing impact on the body, which improves sleep. By constantly using the Revive Daily supplement, the following advantages might be attained:
Promotes Deep Sleep
As was previously noted, more people are using blue light gadgets and devices, and the blue light released by these devices decreases the generation of melatonin. Insomnia, restless sleep, and even weight gain result from low levels of the hormone melatonin, which promotes sleep. By encouraging the production of Melatonin, which improves sleep quality, Revive Daily seeks to change this.
Increasing Energy Levels
It goes without saying that getting a good night's sleep can make you feel rested all day. Therefore, it is crucial to have a good night's sleep because it increases productivity. By increasing the body's energy levels, the Revive Daily sleep supplement assists those who struggle with obesity who frequently feel lethargic and exhausted.
Stress Levels are Lower
According to study, an increase in cortisol levels causes stress, which can have a variety of effects, including gaining weight. Ashwagandha, 5-HTP, and L-theanine are among the constituents in Revive Daily capsules, which lower stress by regulating the release of specific neurotransmitters in the brain.
Enhances Metabolism and Encourages Fast Fat Burn
In addition to improving the quantity and quality of sleep, the Revive Daily sleep support pill also speeds up metabolism so that the user can feel active and reduce weight at the same time. Revive Daily promotes metabolism while burning calories, which enhances fat burning and improves digestion and nutrient absorption in the body. Ingredients in Revive Daily that Make it So Effective

By posting the whole ingredient list on the product's official website, revive-daily.com, the makers of Revive Daily have completely upheld their obligation to their customers. This supports the credibility of the company and the product. The components in Revive Daily are entirely natural and contain no GMOs, stimulants, toxins, or chemicals.
Melatonin, ashwagandha, magnesium, and tryptophan are a few well-known elements in Revive Daily that are known to improve sleep quality. This nutritional supplement also contains other nutrients that improve how well the body functions generally. The following amounts of each ingredient are utilised in the creation of Revive Daily:
  • 15mg Zinc
  • 1200mg Arginine
  • 50mg Magnesium
  • 150mg ashwagandha extract
  • 100mg hydroxytryptophan
  • 10mg melatonin
  • 1200mg Lysine
  • 200mg L-Theanine
  • 1200mg Lysine
The following is a description of how some of the aforementioned components aid in improving sleep:
Melatonin
Since melatonin controls the night-day cycle, it is a natural remedy for insomnia. Melatonin aids in the treatment of insomnia and encourages a night of sound sleep. Additionally, melatonin aids in the relief of nausea, migraines, and vertigo, all of which can interfere with sleep and must be resolved. The immune system is strengthened or stimulated, and the metabolism is sparked, both of which aid in weight loss.
L- arginine
Many products for improving sleep and building muscle contain L-arginine. L-arginine helps the body produce more human growth hormone and encourages sound sleep. Because L-arginine has a soothing effect on the brain's neurotransmitters, which are molecules, arginine can help people feel less stressed and anxious. Additionally, arginine has been related to a rise in the body's energy levels.
Ashwagandha
Due to its calming properties, ashwagandha has been used in traditional remedies for generations. This herb is also believed to promote overall wellness as well as mental and physical health. Scientific studies have demonstrated that ashwagandha is an adaptogen that reduces both physical and mental stress. Similar to Ikaria Lean Belly Juice, this component aids in detoxification and removes toxins and free radicals from the body. It regulates regular bowel movements and strengthens gut health.
L-theanine
Green tea contains the natural substance l-theanine. Scientific studies have demonstrated that taking this supplement before bed can improve the quality of your sleep. Additionally, L-theanine supports normal brain activity while you sleep. L-theanine, which is present in Revive Daily, helps people fall asleep peacefully and comfortably.
The main nutrients found in Revive Daily are those indicated above since they support restful sleep and a healthy sleep cycle. Zinc, magnesium, and hydroxytryptophan are other components of Revive Daily that support general health.

Additional details regarding the Revive Daily Deep Sleep Supplement
Everyone has been affected by the COVID aftermath, which has had a negative impact on people's life on both a physical and mental level. The number of people who experience anxiety and sadness has dramatically increased. Since things have been so terrible for everyone throughout the lockdown, people are finding it extremely difficult to get their old lives back on track.
Nobody could leave their homes because the entire world had changed, which alarmed the general populace. As people had nothing to do and used to spend their entire day sitting and doing nothing, active lives became sedentary. People's daily routines were disrupted since they had nothing to do and hence lost sight of time. Everyone began sleeping at strange times, and the majority of us have struggled to get a good night's rest ever since.
Insomnia is a term for a lack of sleep or poor sleep. A person who experiences insomnia has trouble falling asleep. Stress, increasing alcohol, caffeine, or cigarette usage, eating processed or junk food, environmental variables like noise pollution, some types of drugs, or simply an uncomfortable bed or pillow can all contribute to sleep deprivation.
Exposure to blue light is among the most frequent causes of poor sleep. The light that emanates from digital devices like computers and cellphones is known as blue light. Due to the fact that everything has gone digital over the past few years—office employment have changed to work from home opportunities, and even schools have gone digital—children are now significantly more exposed to blue light due to online learning. The aforementioned elements all work together to lower sleep quality.
Because using sleeping pills can have such severe negative effects, sleeping medications have developed a bad reputation. It becomes impossible to sleep or even function without them because they are habit-forming as well. The optimum solution to this problem therefore seems to be an organic dietary supplement like Revive Daily that improves sleep quality organically, is non-habit forming, and is devoid of stimulants or toxins.

How Can the Daily Supplement Revive Help with Deep Sleep?

Many people are unfamiliar with the concept of "deep sleep" because it is not something they regularly hear about. Here is a little explanation to help you understand.
Rapid eye movement sleep, also known as REM sleep, and non-rapid eye movement sleep are the two different types of sleeping cycles that make up the human sleep cycle. The third stage, which is a variation of non-REM sleep, is known as the deep sleep phase. Although challenging to accomplish, this kind of sleep is essential for maintaining excellent health. The heartbeat slows down, respiration slows down, and the brain experiences the slowest waves during this slow-wave period.
It is challenging to wake up at this moment because the brain is completely relaxed. Even when the body is forced to awaken, it experiences disorientation and struggles to come to. Deep sleep can occasionally leave you with cognitive impairment, which makes you want to go back to sleep. Sleep inertia is the term used in medicine to describe this state. Every time you get into bed, you don't immediately fall asleep. The body transitions to each phase one at a time until it finally reaches the profound sleep stage.
Every healthy body typically proceeds in this manner, and achieving the deep sleep stage is a sign of a functioning body. Because hormone regulation influences all bodily functions during this time, deep sleep is crucial for people of all ages. This capacity to enter a deep slumber is compromised as we age. It takes hours to fall asleep, and despite sleeping for hours, many people still wake up groggy and exhausted because they didn't reach the deep sleep stage.
Without the hazards associated with utilising sleeping drugs, dietary supplements like Revive Daily can assist the body in entering a deep sleep phase. The chemicals in the Revive Daily supplement may help with circadian rhythm improvement, aid in bodily recovery, promote restful sleep, and promote morning freshness.

Reviews In Revive Daily
Revive daily is a weight loss and health enhancement supplement. Everybody is now dealing with some health issue, whether it be mental or physical. These health problems can have a devastating effect on your life. Revive daily can help you lose weight as well as other minor health problems.
Are you aware of the importance and value of regular sleep? While most people understand that sleep is essential for a healthy lifestyle, few realize how vital it is for your overall health and well-being. Bad sleep habits can cause serious health problems, especially if they persist for a long time. This is true for the majority of people suffering from sleep irregularities. Sleep irregularities are not an isolated event for people who have trouble sleeping. Many of us struggle to fall asleep for years before we seek help.
Medical help for sleep problems can lead to more problems than it solves. Many people have reported that the side effects of medications such as melatonin and other over-the-counter sleeping pills can be troubling. Some people find it difficult to concentrate when taking sleep pills. Others report feeling tired and groggy from sleeping pills. We don't want to feel tired or worn out when we seek treatment.
Many people are turning to alternative medicine to improve sleep quality each night. Supplements can help improve your sleep quality. The wrong supplement could lead to a fatal error. Scam supplements can cause consumers to abandon the sleep supplement industry. This can prove devastating for those just starting to get a better night's rest.
Today we will be looking at one of the most well-known sleep supplements. Revive Every Night is a formula that contains all-natural ingredients. It's designed to help you sleep more profoundly and consistently every night. We searched the internet for information about the formula's key ingredients, manufacturer, and reviews. How Does Revive Daily Work?

Revive Daily has nutrients that work together to increase HGH production via six natural pathways. According to verified resources, HGH is a hormone produced by the brain's Pituitary gland. It regulates bone length, height, and muscle growth. The hormone secretion decreases as we age, or some abnormalities can be linked to aging. (For younger production).
Another source explained that this is usually due to decreased strength and energy, fat in the abdominal region, and psychological changes. Poor bone density, low muscle mass, depression, and poor quality sleep are all possible consequences. People resort to GH-boosting supplementation for these reasons.
Individuals may experience side effects depending on the formula. These include fluid retention, joint and muscle pain, high blood sugar, and cholesterol levels. According to the makers, side effects are not likely to occur because of the strategy employed. What does this mean? You can only find out by looking at the ingredient list.

Scientific Evidence for Revive Daily

Revive Daily claims that 16 studies have been published on the References page confirming the benefits of the formula. It also lists the ingredients and dosages upfront. This makes it easier to compare Revive Daily to other natural sleep aids and to verify that it works. Below, we'll look at some evidence to show how Revive Daily can offer science-backed benefits for sleep.
Melatonin has been a well-known ingredient in natural sleep aids. Supplements can contain anywhere from 0.5 to 10mg of melatonin per serve, making Revive Daily's 10mg of Melatonin seem high. The effectiveness of melatonin in reducing sleepiness has been demonstrated at dosages ranging from 0.5mg to 10mg. The 2014 Nutrition Journal study found that melatonin may be able to support sleep for some people but not for others. Although there was limited evidence that melatonin could help shift workers adjust to hormonal phase shift changes in shift workers, some people still use melatonin every night to fall asleep.
Larginine is one of Revive Daily's most essential ingredients. Revive Daily contains 1,200mg of L-arginine in each serving. Multiple studies have linked L-arginine to sleep, proving its usefulness in everything from bodybuilding supplements to sleeping aids. Researchers found that people suffering from sleep apnea had lower levels of L-arginine in their blood than those without it. Researchers believe that L-arginine may play a role in sleep quality. Researchers also found that a separate study found that L-arginine improved slow wave sleep and decreased waking in rats. However, rats didn't experience any change in rapid eye movement (REMS) sleep.
Ashwagandha has been a traditional herbal remedy for centuries to promote health, well-being, and sleep. Research has shown that ashwagandha can be used to help your body cope with mental and physical stressors. Ashwagandha, a natural root extract, is believed to have GABAergic activity that can impact sleep. In studies, researchers found a link between ashwagandha supplementation, quality sleep, and sleep-deprived rats.
L-theanine is a natural substance found in green tea and other natural substances. L-theanine is often taken to counter the effects of caffeine, such as anxiety and jitters. Researchers found that taking 200mg of L-theanine before going to bed was associated with better sleep quality in a 2015 study. L-theanine was not found to cause daytime sleepiness, according to researchers.
Revive Daily also contains tryptophan (5HTP), zinc, and magnesium. These ingredients are essential for supporting your body’s natural sleep cycles. For example, a 2012 Journal of Research in Medical Sciences found that magnesium was a GABA agonist, which plays a crucial role in regulating sleep. Researchers instructed 46 patients over 60 to take 500mg or a placebo every day for eight weeks to test the theory. Researchers found that magnesium positively affected subjective measures of insomnia, such as insomnia severity (ISI), sleep efficiency, sleep time, and onset latency.
Revive Daily combines some of the most well-researched and best-known sleep aids and supplements in the world. Science backs the ingredients and doses and has proven that they work in multiple ways to support sleep.

2022.08.12 06:13 Eriks0n 18 day Water Fast Complete - Details Inside

18 day Water Fast Complete - Details Inside

18 day fast
18 day Duration:
Originally I set out to do a 3 day fast. After day 3 felt good, went for 7 days. After 7 days, felt good, went for 14. After 14, felt good, went for 21. Unfortunately I had to start refeeding after 18 days since I have a vacation coming up and wanted to be unrestricted on food options.
Background:
I have been doing 18-6 IF daily for years. I rarely eat breakfast but I do consume craft beer on the regular, the main reason for the extra weight. I do a few 3 - 5 day fasts each year, so my body is familiar with longer fasts. The longest fast I've ever done was 10 days and that was rough. All my prior fasts were with a different type of electrolyte and I never could find the right balance. I feel like the LMNT electrolytes I used this time were a big part of why this longer fast felt relatively painless.
Motivation:
I'm generally motivated to long term fast for 3 reasons.
  1. Weight loss
  2. Strengthening Health, rebuilding gut flora, letting colon reset, damaged cell recycling, huge boosts of HGH, massive inflammation reduction.
  3. Reset my relationship with food. We tend to eat out of boredom and fall into lazy unhealthy patterns of eating. I find fasting helps me reset this to more functional and intentional eating patterns.
Weight Loss:
Male 6 Ft
Starting Weight: 203lbs End Weight: 180lbs
Target Weight: 175lbs
Total Loss: 23lbs
Supplements:
  • I took 2 - 3 packets of LMNT electrolytes daily
  • Black coffee or iced americano in the morning
  • Small amounts of Taiwanese green loose leaf tea w/ slices of fresh ginger when nausea hit
  • Sugar free CBD gummies during those really deep valleys
Day to Day
Didn't notice day one.
Day 2 and 3 were a little tough, as I transitioned into ketosis. Some hunger pangs.
Day 4 in full blown ketosis. Started waking up with mild headaches the next 4 or 5 days but electrolytes as soon as I woke up made the headache dissolve instantly.
Day 5 - 8 we're ok, I got into a rhythm of staying busy and not thinking about food. I wasn't really hungry, but would get brief hunger cravings from time to time.
Day 9 - Euphoric. Not hungry, tons of energy, incredibly productive to the point my family is getting annoyed with me as I clean out spice drawers and cupboards and reorganize the kitchen.
Day 10 - More incredible mental focus and attention. It's like I'm on drugs. These were easily the most productive days of work I've ever had. I was more genuine, patient and understanding of other humans. Forming elaborate sentences in short order, feeling like I could convert thoughts and ideas into words more efficiently than ever before. It was incredible.
Day 11 - 13 Sinking into a regular flow now, wake up, coffee, electrolytes, work, electrolytes, relax, sleep, repeat. Not really hunger but missing food. Starting to crave eggs, tomatoes, avocadoes, cheese. Start looking up recipes on YouTube I can make after the fast. I created a 45 item doc by day 15.
Day 14 - 16 Still focused, strong mental clarity, sleeping really well, feeling very healthy. Skin has great color, 0 inflammation in the body. Feeling weak though and a flight of stairs winds me now. Did a small 2km hike and had to stop a few times.
Day 17 - 18 Tired of fasting. Dreaming of food. Hunger starts to show up more often. MY sense of smell is so incredibly heightened I would walk down the street and I could tell what each house was making for dinner.
Day 19 - Break the fast.
Overall slept great the entire fast. Tracked the quality of the fast with my Oura ring. Heart Rate, respiratory rate and HRV were also better than normal.
Didn't do much exercise, the odd 40 pushup day here and there, some walking and that small hike. Also played a little baseball but mostly took it easy.
Refeeding
Day 1 of refeeding : Bone Broth, wait few hours, pickles, wait few hours, more bone broth, repeat, add Spicy italian peppers and olives in there as well. Small piece of cheese for dinner with organic Sauwerkraut and pro-biotics. Also some pro-biotics and Coconut Water
Day 2 of refeeding : Same items as day 1 but make Carrot Ginger soup in Vitamix for lunch. Dinner: Avocado w/ Olive Oil and Sauerkraut. Also some pro-biotics and Coconut Water
Day 3 of refeeding : 1 Egg, pieces of cheese, some prosciutto, more soup, Sauerkraut w/ Salmon for dinner. Also some pro-biotics and Coconut Water
Day 4 of refeeding : More bone broth, pickles, avocado, Blueberry/Banana Baby Spinach Smoothie, more meat, not sure what yet.
That taste of smoked gouda cheese on day 1 was mind-blowingly delicious.

Next Steps
Looking forward to my new renewed relationship with food and rebuilding my gut flora properly with the right food.
Thanks for listening, hope this helps someone else out there.

2022.06.04 15:41 Kpmm91 Renew vitality - feeling ripped off / scared with shady info

Apologize if this has been directly answered. I gave the forum a look and could not spot it. I’ve been dealing with depression for over 8 years now. My doctors have always sent me for r levels and they come in around the high 200’s. Was always told that was fine.
Long story short antidepressants did nothing to improve my issue and I finally decided to find a way to try TRT. I reached out to renew and got set up with blood work (expensive, like $120), a doc appointment (400) and a 3 month Trt at 200mg once a week and then pct for 12th week which cost 700. I was already feeling a little sketchy about it and then they tried to slip in some other hgh med for 1600 for 3 months.
Honesty I’m feeling overwhelmed…like I’ve just been ripped off and could be doing something wrong in terms of dosing, pct, etc. the sketchy push for that 1600 med has my trust in the tank.
Can anyone help me ensure that what they have prescribed makes sense / is the best approach? I understand it is an opinion and not medical advice.

PyroGenesis Closes Strategic Acquisition of Air Science Technologies

Adds over $10MM of signed contracts to backlog

MONTREAL, Aug. 12, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (http://pyrogenesis.com) (NASDAQ: PYR) (TSX: PYR) (FRA: 8PY), a high-tech Company (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or “PyroGenesis”), that designs, develops, manufactures and commercializes advanced plasma processes and sustainable solutions to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG), is pleased to announce today that, further to its press release dated April 27th, 2021, it has finalized its strategic acquisition of AirScience Technologies Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, “AST”) for an amended total cash consideration of approx. $4.4MM (the “Purchase Price”).
The Purchase Price will be paid upon various contract and business-related milestones. Should any of the milestones not be reached within the next three (3) years, the purchase price shall be adjusted downward. The Purchase Price shall be paid as follows:
  1. Approximately 20% upon receipt of payment of US$4MM (approx. Can$5MM) under an existing letter of credit from AST’s client 1,
  2. Approximately 20% upon final acceptance test/bank guarantee from client 1,
  3. Approximately 25% upon receipt of final acceptance report for client 2,
  4. Approximately 5% upon final acceptance test, or equivalent from each of client 3 and 4 (total 10%), and
  5. Approximately 25% upon conversion of $4MM in pipeline to signed contracts.
AST, a Montreal-based company, offers technologies, equipment, and expertise in the area of biogas upgrading, as well as air pollution controls. AST designs and builds: (i) gas upgrading systems to convert biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG); (ii) pyrolysis-gas purification; (iii) biogas & landfill-gas flares and thermal oxidizers; and (iv) purification of coke-oven gas (COG) (a by-product in the primary steel industry arising from the conversion of coal into coke) into high purity hydrogen, which is in high demand across the industry. AST is also known for its line of landfill gas flares which reduce greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions specifically from landfills.
PyroGenesis will operate AST as a wholly owned subsidiary and retain the current management and staff, comprising of approximately 20 employees. AST has current operations across North America, Italy and India. The acquisition is expected to positively impact PyroGenesis’ earnings per share in 2021
“We are extremely excited about today’s announcement as it essentially springboards PyroGenesis into the RNG market where we believe there is a significant unmet need for RNG-providers, particularly in North America,” said P. Peter Pascali, CEO and Chair of PyroGenesis. “This acquisition effectively provides PyroGenesis with a 15+ year advantage compared to building these operations from scratch. In addition, we will now have a presence in Italy, and India (where AST has already developed relationships with several multi-billion-dollar companies who are currently using their technology). Moreover, this acquisition provides potential synergies with our land-based waste destruction offerings which, if successful, will significantly increase their value to the market. AST’s technology complements PyroGenesis’ existing offerings and further strengthens PyroGenesis’ position as an emerging leader in GHG solutions for sustainable long-term growth.”
Mr. Pascali continues to discuss this acquisition in the following Q&A format:
Q1. What is the significance of this acquisition today?
A. This acquisition provides us with an immediate entry into the RNG marketplace where we believe there is a significant need for RNG providers particularly given the trend towards regulating minimum required amounts of RNG within gas pipelines.
Governments are now legislating requirements for gas distributors to incorporate RNG into their pipelines. This has, in turn, created a significant demand for biogas upgrading facilities worldwide, but particularly in North America, and it is this need that PyroGenesis is now targeting.
The movement to transition economies to net zero emissions is evidenced by the US’ commitment to cut GHG emissions in half by 2030, and to zero by no later than 2050.1
Closer to home, the Quebec Government recently incorporated RNG and green hydrogen initiatives into their strategy to reduce GHG emissions in their 2030 plan for a green economy. In this plan, the Québec Government launched the first steps of the plan, covering 2021-2026. This initiative was backed by a budget of no less than $6.7 billion over the ensuing five years. More specifically, it earmarked over $200 million for RNG projects in the form of investments in the financing of RNG production and distribution projects.2
In addition, this acquisition has provided PyroGenesis with an immediate presence in both Italy and India and established relationships with several multi-billion-dollar companies. AST also boasts a list of satisfied clients which now provides PyroGenesis with the “Golden Ticket”, described in previous press releases. The Golden Ticket provides an opportunity to i) cross sell other PyroGenesis offerings (such as replacing fossil fuel burners with PyroGenesis’ proprietary plasma torches), and/or (ii) propose plasma-based solutions to existing problems.
______________________ 1 https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/biden-will-commit-halving-u-s-emissions-2030-part-paris-n1264892 2 https://www.bioenergy-news.com/news/rng-included-in-quebec-governments-green-economy-plans/
Q2. Can you describe the advantage of this transaction for PyroGenesis’ shareholders?
A. Sure.
AST not only faced the natural growing pains of an emerging company, such as access to capital to support growth, but they were also challenged during COVID due to delayed payments and supply chain issues, all at a time of increasing demand for their products.
We believe PyroGenesis’ acquisition of AST will now allow AST, under PyroGenesis, to realize its full potential by providing the requisite skill set and assets to grow and meet future demand. We expect that AST’s growth will be accelerated with access to PyroGenesis’ (i) solid quality management system, including ISO 9001 certification; (ii) multidisciplinary team of engineers (including process, mechanical and electrical engineering) and modeling capabilities (CFD, 3D mechanical, FEM analysis, process modeling); (iii) expertise in maximizing intellectual property through a robust patent strategy; (iv) newly upgraded state-of-the art fabrication and warehousing facility allowing for quick turnaround of equipment and parts to customers; and (v) a track record of over 30 years history of doing business with a long list of high-profile customers.
In discussions with clients during our due diligence, we confirmed that any existing issues were entirely manageable and there was clear interest to expand the relationship under PyroGenesis ownership.
In summary, we have acquired AST for approx. $4.4MM, which is to be paid upon the accomplishment of certain milestones, each of which further validates and confirms AST’s position in the marketplace. AST has a healthy backlog of over $10MM of signed contracts, a pipeline of approx. $15MM (weighted probability of approx. $8MM), receivables of approx. $5MM and debt of approx. $2MM (the majority of which is expected to paid by December 31, 2021 from AST’s cashflow).
Q3. Are they any less obvious hidden gems within this acquisition?
A. Yes, in fact there is.
We believe that one of AST’s offerings is ideally suited to significantly increase the value of one of our land-based environmental offerings. The syngas produced by PyroGenesis in, for example, its PRRS offering is quite similar to the Coke Oven Gas (“COG”) that is cleaned and upgraded by AST. In PyroGenesis’ case, the syngas is converted into electricity and heat which are both low value products. In AST’s case, the COG is purified, and hydrogen, which has a much higher value, is extracted from it. As such, there is an opportunity to repurpose the syngas generated by PyroGenesis’ PRRS offering by leveraging off of AST’s technology, and thereby create higher value products such as hydrogen, methanol and ethanol, and effectively increasing the market value of PyroGenesis’ PRRS offering.
Q4. What are your expectations over the next 12 - 18 months?
A. Our goal is to strengthen AST’s operations, quality control systems, and increase the backlog of signed contracts, all while delivering on existing contracts. As this is completed over the next 12 to 18 months, we will continually evaluate our options to accelerate the rollout of these solutions in order to address the significant unmet need in the market.
We also fully expect in the fullness of time, and once PyroGenesis’ engineering team becomes more familiar with AST’s processes, significant IP could be developed.

26 weeks in, not exactly what I was expecting, multiple blood tests included
So I started taking Testosterone in late January, some 26 weeks ago. I know this is long. I’m trying to report all that I have experienced since then. It may be out of order, I may end up missing stuff and some of this might not have anything to do with T but still happened since I started treatment. I was prescribed Primoteston Depot, pre-filled intramuscular syringes of 250mg Testosterone Enantate in 1 mL solution. Taking one shot every 10 days.
A week after my first injection I started to be very sick. I had a few days of being bed ridden, sapped of all energy, intense cough that shock my whole body. Coughing up stuff, random moments of feeling extremely hot and random moments of feeling extremely cold, sore throat. I know what you are probably thinking. I went to a local doctor (not my TRT doctor) he prescribe some antibiotics. He said it wasn’t corona, but didn’t do any testing. At the time corona was still seen as a China specific issue. If it was covid I would have been one of the first cases of community spread in the country. The worse of it lasted a few days, but I had mild flu-like symptoms for about a month. A couple weeks after I first felt sick I learnt about Test Flu, so maybe I had that.
After the first couple injections, I had another blood test to see how I was responding to the new treatment. I never got the raw report data for that but the doctor said that my Total T was in in the low 30s nmol/L, which he said was high normal and exactly what we were aiming for. However my Oestrogen was creeping up. So he also prescribed me Anastrozole.
So since then my protocol has been
  • 250mg Testosterone Enantate every 10 days
  • 0.5mg Anastrozole twice a week

I started to develop acne, quite badly. I did have bad acne during puberty, so I was concerned about getting it again. It started on my back, being unable to see it easily I’m not sure when it started. I didn’t notice until I had a pimple that was so large it was making its presence known, I may have had it for some time before then. Since then it spread to my upper arms. I have had the stray zit on my front chest. So far it only been in areas that have been easy to cover with clothing. I did take Roaccutane (Isotretinoin) very early in puberty which did put a swift end to my acne at the time. I would be interested in taking that again, not sure if that is something that my T doctor would prescribe.
While I was developing acne, I paradoxically got a brief period of very dry skin, namely at the bottom of the edge of my nose, at the point where connects to my head and also on the shaft of my penis. I actually had skin cracking on my shaft. Which was an odd sensation. I healed up after a week and hasn’t happened again. This might not have anything to do with TRT but did happen while I am on it and has never happened before.
It is possible that I am growing facial hair faster now. I never had a problem growing facial or body hair. I didn’t really take any measurements before starring my treatment and I have changed my shaving habits due to the pandemic. So this is something I can’t be sure about, but I have been wondering if my hair growth has changed.
I don’t feel that being on T has improved my non-existent sex drive. While it is probably a turn for the better that I didn’t start trying to get laid just as a pandemic started. I am seriously concerned that I am asexual, well I was considering that I was before starting TRT but now it’s seeming more likely. I really hope that I am not. Not that I think that there is anything inherently wrong with being Ace. But I can’t help it leads to many missed opportunities. The end outcome being alone is something that I don’t want. Maybe I just have to keep waiting and my drive will be uncovered in time with my current dose. There is a part of me that just want to blast to a crazy high dose to see if that will awaken a deeply buried drive. I’m not sure if there something other than T that can help in that regard. I am super concerned that if I say to the doctor that I am still ace he won’t renew my prescription.
I have had morning wood here and there. It hasn’t been a super constant thing. It has been many weeks since I last got some. When I did get morning wood, it was dry, no pre cum and it was not accompanied with a desire to yank it. Only one time did I decide to yank my MW and that still required extra simulation. Most of the time that I did get MW I have either tried to take a piss with great difficulty or gone back to sleep.
After starting T I did get some unexpected results in the gym. To preface in the year before I started T I did lose 18kg and I won a 12 week transformation challenge that my gym held, all natty. So I thought I knew the basics of cutting. I started T in January, I did take a little break from dieting over holidays. I took a DEXA scan right before I had my first shot. Fat was down, Muscle was up. So I started TRT and started to cut again. I was consuming about 1800-2000 Calories a day, which was what I was doing in my last cut and I was steadily cutting fat. I actually had some people call what I what I was doing an aggressive cut but I found it very easy. I was completely satiated. I thought if anything T speed up my cut. However I soon found that my weight wasn’t making any significant movement despite being in a deficit, I’d lose a small amount but then gain a small amount, and so on. My weight was staying stable. I found this very confusing. Once the gym closed I started to lose motivation, both in the limited exercise options that were available and dieting, so this point became moot. At any rate not sure I will be appearing on TRTtransformations/ or nattyorjuice/ at time soon.
I’m not sure I have experienced much in mental improvement. I have suffered depression most of my life and have periods of suicidal tendencies. I’ve had periods of feeling worse and periods of time of feeling better. I was already in a period where I wasn’t feeling as bad when I started TRT, and I haven’t felt any worse in that respect since starting TRT. So I haven’t felt depressed at all. However, with the pandemic I have been exposed to many new sources of stress and anxiety. So still have had anxiety while I been on T. There has been zero control of variables. It’s not like I started T while everything else stayed the same. I started T and the whole world fell apart. So it’s hard to know if I am handling things better that I would if I was not on T. I had very low confidence and feel I was someone that could be very easily taken advantage of. I’m not sure if that is still the case. I pretty sure that I’ve had no increase in aggression. While some might consider being aggressive at negative effect. I’ve previously had negative levels of aggression. So I would have welcomed an increase in that respect. I have joked that I’m still waiting for the roid rage to kick in.
I may have some very subtle improvements that are hard to notice and attribute to T. I suppose when there is very radical changes is very easy to notice. I had hoped for something of a personality change. Might have gotten overexcited from some other people stories. I haven’t felt like Superman, or maybe Captain America is more apt analogy and I don’t feel like I could fight a bear. Again maybe my dose isn’t right, maybe I just need to wait even longer for everything to kick in.
In regard to motivation, I don’t have an Academic understanding of the topic, however in my mind there is conscious motivation and subconscious motivation. I was very unmotivated about almost everything in life. I can only really comment in regards to gym. After started take T but before the gym closed I was going a lot more. However, I feel that more conscious, high level thoughts driven by some external factors, type of motivation. Then gyms closed, I tried to keep up my fitness but that quickly fell apart. Once the gym reopened I was super pumped. I was going as much as I could. Even more often than how much I was going right before the closure. I feel that is more subconscious force driving me. Is the T or is buildup for not being able to go for so long. I don’t know.
Other hobbies and improving employment situation were things that I was hoping T would help improve. Hasn’t been much movement there, but with the pandemic it's been much more complicated to make changes there.
As I just said I was super motivated when the gym reopened. In the lead up to the opening, I was thinking that might start trying the classes at the gym. I had always felt like the classes weren’t going to be my thing, but now I was willing give it a go. We were required to prebook sessions online for specifics sections of the gym. I booked the first available weights session. Then I saw a class that started not too long after my weight session was due to end. The description of the Class “Body Pump - Body Pump is the original and best barbell class that sculpts and tones your entire body with low weights and high reps”. I went to the class and quickly realised that I was the only male in the room. That wasn’t too much of a problem but not a great start either. Based on the description I didn’t expect this to be a female focused class, something like Yoga or Pilates I would expect that to be the case. Once the class started they moved very quickly from one thing to the next. I had a hard time following along, there wasn’t much in the way of explanation. Getting lost and not being able to follow was the main reason that that I have previously be unsure about going to classes. Given that this was the first day in months that the Gym had been open there may been some room for introductory information. Since I had just finished my first weights session in over 12 weeks and I had gone the hardest that I have ever gone, I was starting to get stiff. So I was the only male in the room, had the highest T levels in the room, I couldn’t follow what was going, getting stiff and was the worst preforming. Turns out classes aren’t for me. I was getting increasingly uncomfortable and decided I would never do this again. The thing is that is all that happened. Based on previous experiences I do believe that if I wasn’t on T, the uncomfortability of the situation would have grown in to anxiety that built up to the point that I would have absolutely lost it on the inside. So for an ultimately trivial situation I guess felt mildly uncomfortable rather than having a full on anxiety attack. So it very inconsequential but it some small improvement that I can attribute to T.
So as you are gathering I feel that I wasn’t getting too much in the way of benefits. I was thinking my dose must be too low, I needed up my dose. The covid restrictions meant its been harder to contact my doctor, its been impossible to see him in person. Phone consultation have always been available. However I have an extremely strong preference to see him in person. I held off on doing a phone consultation hoping that the virus situation would clear up. So I felt alone and I decided to do a private blood test. As you will see I ended up doing a few blood tests in quick succession. The web site that I order my test from has bundle deal so all the following test include the following:
  • Free and total Testosterone
  • E2 (Oestradiol)
  • SHBG
  • Prolactin
  • Progesterone
  • FSH/L/
  • DHEAS
  • Cortisol
  • IGF-1 + GH
So I had been taking 250mg Testosterone Enantate every 10 days and I had been getting tested 6 days after an injection.
The first blood test also included a Full Blood Count in addition to the hormone bundle.
https://preview.redd.it/y87ngl1tekd51.png?width=752&format=png&auto=webp&s=af22cff0017d104d88dd681cc0161be14246a1d2
So the first thing you probably noticed is that my Estrogen is quite high. Turns out that for the first time I had forgotten to take my AI. So it had been a full week since I had taken an AI rather than half a week at the time of this test.
At 43 nmol/L it was quite a bit above the reference range. I found that surprising as I went in thinking my dose needed to be upped. Yet, I was already above the reference range and since I had forgotten to take an AI it should be even higher than that. I am not bothered by having high results. I went in thinking I need to up my dose and I am still interested in upping my dose. However I feel that the government and/or doctor may have a problem with it being that high and may want to lower or take me off completely when I say I not feeling major improvements.

Knowing that without AI that those results would be inaccurate. I decided to continue with my protocol until I had more accurate test results with an AI. About a month later I got another blood test, day 6 after my last injection. This test was the hormone bundle as well as DHT, comprehensive metabolic panel and lipid profile.

https://preview.redd.it/adu8dumxekd51.png?width=775&format=png&auto=webp&s=652e4eef0d73be4abaaea0324e275d3ea03bed22
So Now with with E2 back in the reference range my Total Testosterone was 55 nmol/L. Above the range even more. Again being high does not bother me per say. But those responsible with providing prescription may have a problem.
Also of note is that that my cholesterol is also high. I don’t really know much about cholesterol but I know it is not ideal. I still have a bit of flab on me. I was getting fitter over the last year. Then in lockdown I did take a few steps backwards in that regard. I know that there are other anabolic substance that will raise LDL and lower HDL. I am not sure if Testosterone can effect cholesterol in the same manner or if my cholesterol levels are all natty. I also not sure if my levels are slightly elevated, dangerously high or somewhere in between.
The extreme discrepancy in my Growth Hormone level between my tests was very surprising. I wasn’t sure if HGH would fluctuate that much. I have wondered about the accuracy of the results.
Based on what the Doctor said last time I spoke to him, back in February, it sounded like low 30s is the target levels. So I decide to try to figure out when my levels are actually in the low 30s. Since I have pre-filled syringes and not drawing from a vial, I can’t really take a little bit more or a little bit less when I dose in any type of controlled method. The only thing I can do to adjust my dosage is adjust the timing between each dose.

So I took my next shot as normal, then I let 10 days past and didn’t take another shot. On Day 14 I got another blood test. Here are the results.

https://preview.redd.it/t2nza7l7fkd51.png?width=736&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ccffc24308d8cef860841adef03e8306e22ee5f
So my Total T was down to 26 nmol/ L, I was aiming for the Low 30s so this was now too low. I found it very interesting that this had a different reference range for this test to previous ones. Where this result would have been within the reference range of the previous test but for this one it wasn’t. All these test were done by the same company but at different locations. With the lockdown which location were open and the hours that were open kept changing, so each test was done at different locations.

I ended up taking my next injection 17 days after the previous one. I did not mean to space out the injection that much.
I took another blood test 8 days after taking that 17 day shot.
https://preview.redd.it/5rh4cetcfkd51.png?width=746&format=png&auto=webp&s=e361c081fe86087b6a2a51908a63ac3a590b0e42
So I was finally in the low 30s. However I feel that since I ended up waiting 17 days between my previous injections that have reset the base levels at the time of the new injection and if I had taken a test 8 days after a series of injections every 10 days, I may not have been in the low 30s.
I was thinking of going back to every 10 days but ended up have my next (and latest shot) 12 days after the previous one. Then 7 days after that I had the doctors blood test. I did mean to get it done at Day 6 but life. The results from this test went straight to the doctor. I haven’t spoken to him yet so I don’t what the results are yet. I imagine those results will be skewed. To reiterate, I have been injecting every 10 days for about 5 months. Then I took one dose 17 days after the last one and then the final one 12 days later. Then 7 days after the final injection I got the doctor’s blood test.
A lot of the markers I had tested I don’t actually know what they are or they mean. So if anyone see anything else of note in these test I’d appreciate your thoughts.
I’m not sure what I should say to the doctor. I know many are going to say to be completely honest. I am legitimately worried, if I say the wrong thing, since this is such a tightly regulated substance, I will be told it can’t be justified for me to be on the treatment for such little improvement. At the same time if I withhold information, am I preventing myself from getting better results? The doctor is not testing for all of the markers I have had privately tested. I not sure if I should mention the cholesterol to the doctor. That is one of thing he is not testing.
I don’t want to be taken off T because I still feel those improvements may still come in time. The substance is physically inside me so it has to have some effect. Even if my levels are now already high, not sure how high they are really. I would like to blast to even higher levels, I really need to know if I have a deeply buried drive or if I am ace. Though I know that something that the doc and gov won’t consent to. Am I wrong should I have already experienced all the changes I am going to experience?
So any thoughts, about my results, my responses, about what to say to doctor or anything else would be greatly appreciated. At the end my current prescription and I am concerned about its renewal.

I'm an AIT soldier on orders to my first duty station. I filled out my part of the DA 5434 but my sponsor hasn't filled out there section and it's been a few weeks. I was told they won't cut my orders unless the sponsor fills out the form. What do I need to do to get a sponsor?

Current 31B with 4 months left in my reserve contract. Graduating with my Bachelors degree in May and I was trying to decide what I want to do next. Retention told me to just go full hooah and re-enlist for another 6 years and eventually I’ll get slotted for OCS, which is my end game move. I want to move to the 35F or 35L but retention said it doesn’t matter and I should just take the bonus for the 31B re-enlist and move on because OCS will change what I’m doing anyways. I think he’s full of it and I was hoping for an unbiased opinion.

Long story short, I've been on IRR for 3 years with no contact with the Army besides sending in a yearly deferment for school the entire time. I report to BOLC this Fall and after 3 years I have forgotten pretty much everything I've learned prior to commissioning.
What can I do as a refresher in the meantime so I'm not completely lost? I'll be taking the bar this summer and I'm branched in a non combat arms position on active duty.
Also can't get my orders from HRC because I don't have a valid CAC but that's a different headache.

Can you transition from active duty to reserve in one term? Or do you have to wait til your enlistment is renewed?

Im particularly interested in the Day to Day and what the work is like.
Im also looking for a position that has a decent to high chance of allowing me to live off base (with or without recompense) as i have a pet cat that I would like to keep with me, (I obviously dont mind having to leave him here with my parents for basic and AIT)
Im fine with hearing recommendations for other completely different MOS's aswell! I really dont know specifically what I want to do, so anyone who has experience with an MOS and thinks It might fit me feel free to point it out.

Reserve officer here, looking to go Active early next year. My question is about the new paternity leave policy. If I'm reading the reg correctly, I will only get the 3 weeks of paternity leave if I had already served for 12 months of active time prior to that. My situation is that we WERE planning to have a baby summer of 2020, but at that point I may have only been active for a couple of months. Would there be other leave available for me to use? Or would I be screwing myself over and we should just pick a different time to have another kid? Just not familiar with leave policies in general on active duty. Thanks for any explanation.

I then re-enlisted to serve in the National Guard near the end of my active duty obligation for a 3-year $5,000 bonus. I am now being told that my ETS from the National Guard isn’t until my MSO. My MSO is 4 years 1 month and 4 days from the time I enlisted in the National Guard, not 3 years. When I spoke with Retention, they told me that their was no option to only serve 3 years, and that there is only a try a year option or serve out the entirety of my MSO. I am now being kept a year passed what I thought would have been my ETS, and am being involuntary pulled out of college and being sent to Kuwait. Thoughts? Knowledge? HELP!

Any recommendations on Army and/or Air Force Recruiters (both Active and NG) in the DFW area?
I thought that this community might have some specific connections and recommendations for recruiters in the DFW area, especially those involved in Guard units in the area. Are there any specific recruiters in the area you would recommend, or should I just go to the nearest recruiting office?
Also, I likely need a med waiver. So I would need someone willing to work with me on that.
I have a bachelors degree (3.35 GPA in an engineering field) so I think I could be eligible for OCS/OTS as well as enlisted.
Are there any NG units in the area you would recommend?
Any additional advice would be appreciated- thanks!

I had two felony charges for possession of marijuana under 2.5 oz and possession of paraphernalia resulting from the same incident as an adult a long time ago. In the state I was arrested in, any amount was considered a felony. Both charges were dropped due to a pretrial diversion program I entered. They showed up on my rap sheet with a statement that said "No Felony Convictions." My recruiter isn't sure what to make of it.
Is it possible to get a moral waiver for this and is there a realistic chance at doing so if I can?

I would like to enlist in the military for personal reasons and financial reasons, but I would also like to be a graphic designer and hopefully lead myself into UX/UI design. Has anyone here done any graphic design in the military? I know if there has been work done its been really small. I only hear the Navy has a small portion of work done in there. But recently I found out the Army has their own page dedicated for graphic design called Multimedia Illustrator. https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/browse-career-and-job-categories/arts-and-media/multimedia-illustrator.html
Im 17 and I want to pursue this career path but i'm wondering if the Army and this enlisted job specifically can help me out in this field for experience. I already have high school experience.

So I’m very close to joining the Reserves currently, but I also am 100% certain I want to go to college, I have a weighted gpa of 3.86, i am apart of honor society, and a junior in high school. I love my country and I want to join both because of that and to help pay for my education. My question is what is the procedure for applying to college? For basic and AIT it would take 6 months to complete after high school. Do I apply to colleges and universities before I leave for basic or do I apply once I get back? I guess my main worry is getting stuck in a crummy college because I took 6 months after graduation to apply. But I’m not sure how the application process for that works, can i apply and get accepted and not start school until the following spring after training? Or do I have to wait to apply all together? I know I asked a lot and it might be confusing if you need some clarification I might be able to try and word it differently, but thanks to anybody who can help.

I'm currently a freshman in college and after this semester will have over 40 credits completed. I'm planning on being an actuary which is a very weird job that involves risk management for insurance companies. The way to get further in your field is by taking exams that are absurdly difficult and require intense amounts of studying.
Because these exams are supposed to be so hard I'm worried that going through college and then joining the military would be a bad option since I'd likely forget a lot of what I learned. I'm debating on going into a financial type of MOS (such as Financial Management Technician 36B) for either 2 or 4 years, then if I want to make a career out of the military I can while also being able to work on my degree and either finish it while on duty or after my years are up.
Thoughts or suggestions?

So I may or may not have improperly washed my ACU top and fucked up the velcro. Is there anyway to fix it? I've tried cutting at it with scissors and shaving it a bit but it doesn't seem to be too effective, am I doing it wrong?

MEPs processing. How picky are they? Also, has anyone had an issue with being Dq’d and how soon can you try again after that? Also I’m a fully certified civilian EMT. Wanting to translate to 68 whiskey. What is the round about afqt percentage that will get me there? I know the GT and ST req’s but all the practice testing I have been using do not show the line scores like the icat or the asvab.

  1. Recruiter had to send my paperwork to the USAREC surgeon. Anyone know how long this usually takes?
  2. Would I be able to take the DLAB and pick a job on the same day since already have my physical/asvab done?
  3. How does the job selection process work for the army?

Yeah, I mean it was my first choice of an MOS but I was also considering 91B because I know that would help both in my personal life and also if I decided to go to school for Mechanical Engineering but like I’ve said, I’m also interested in business administration, I guess I just have to weigh all the options in the coming months.

I have had financial troubles in the past, leading to a couple things reported in collections on my credit report. They total up to around $2500. Will this prevent me from enlisting?

I am an approved DAT waiver. MOS I'm most interested in is 15W but there is a chance that I may not get it because of security clearance. I got mixed answers at my recruitment station and said I may still be able to get it.
Are DAT waivers completely closed off to jobs even with the lowest level of security clearance?

I'm reenlisting for Alaska for a 20 level slot. However, I'm definitely going to be a SSG before I report there. Is there any chance of my orders just getting deleted due to this or will I still go?

I'm preparing for Ranger school and I read in a couple of places that you shouldn't take creatine while training before going. Is this legitimate advice? I don't see how it could negatively affect me, but maybe I'm missing something.

I'm preparing to enlist with the army but still didn't decide on a MOS My brother recommended 2MOS's: Infantry and Calvary scout How is life for Infantry or Calvary scout? Is it a deathly job? I'm not very afraid to go out to combat but I don't want to die out in combat and leave my family alone. Also can anyone recommend any other MOS's?

hey, weird question. If you wan to be a doctor in the army, do you have to go through med school first or do you go through med school as your technical school after basic?

Does anyone still report to a new unit in dress uniform?
I'm talking like knocking on your commander's door in your Blue's, saluting and stating "So and so reporting to such and such unit."
Just wondering if that would impress a BC these days or just make him or her think you're a fucking weirdo
I think I saw a Major do it at my first unit at Campbell, but haven't since.
Edit: Yes, downvote me for asking an honest question, thanks!
