Also known as the Two-lined Black Shield-tail.
The Iridescent Shield-tailed snake is between 25 and 50 cm (10 and 20 inches) in length, but can reach a maximum length of 90 cm (35 in.).
It can be found in Wayanad, which is situated in the Western Ghats in Southern India. Usually this species can be found at the summit of Periya Peak at an elevation of 5,000 feet, and a similar elevation at Tirrhioot Peak.
Shield-tails, including the Iridescent Shield-tail, have their name due to the large scale at the end of their tail. This large scale looks like a shield, and in some species, they may even have ridges or spines for extra protection.

Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, created in 1913. The city of Sofia went through changes according to the vicissitudes of Bulgarian history. Many rulers ruled it and each of them left their special stamp on the soul of the city. The large Jewish community that lived in the city also left evidence of a glorious past.
The Bulgarian people are one of the oldest peoples in Europe, with a cultural continuity of 1300 years. Information about Jewish settlements in Macedonia dates back to the time of Gaius Caligula and in the Nicopolis district a Latin inscription was found that testifies to the existence of a Jewish community in the 2nd century. There are not many other peoples on the European continent that formed so early and preserved their language, their religion, and their national tradition. The English, for example, completed their consolidation into one nation only after the Norman conquest in the XI century, and the Germans and Italians in the XIX century. The formation of the Bulgarian people was the first swallow that heralded the golden age of the Slavic peoples and kingdoms; In Russia a century later the inner Principality of Kyivan Rus was created, and in the Balkans two centuries later the kingdoms of the Bosnian Serbs and Croats were formed. The word Bulgarian itself means "to do good". Bulgarians have three important characteristics according to their own myth - from the Thracians they believe they received the sympathy for mysticism, from local Turks they bred with their fighting ability, courage and determination, and from the Slavs - patience as a way of life and mutual guarantee to each other and to other Slavic nations.
However, this wonderful cultural continuity was disrupted with the Ottoman occupation in the 14th century - which succeeded in destroying the local aristocracy, destroying the cities and fortresses, and deeply damaged the original organic Bulgarian culture while preventing for a time the formation of the Christian urban culture that developed in the same period in Western Europe. Therefore, unlike in Italy, England and France, ancient cities from the Middle Ages were unfortunately not preserved to modern times. In addition, Bulgaria did not experience the Renaissance, the Baroque, the Enlightenment period, and only in 1878, upon gaining independence, did it begin to rediscover its powerful roots.
In the years following independence, Bulgaria became increasingly militaristic and was often referred to as the "Prussia of the Balkans", in regards to its desire to change the Berlin Treaty through warfare, when the division of territories in the Balkans by the Concert of Europe regardless of ethnic composition led to a wave of discontent not only in Bulgaria, but also in the nations who were her neighbors and Bulgaria strived with relative success to manage the power relations compared to the other Christian countries of the region.
The defeat of the Ottomans in the Turco-Italian War, and the feeling that this was the time when Christian territories could be conquered from the Ottomans, led some of the Balkan countries to create the Balkan League, in which Bulgaria served as a central player. The First Balkan War began when Montenegro declared war on the Ottoman Empire, and a few days later the other members of the League officially joined the war. During the war, the Allies managed to conquer large parts of the reminder of Ottoman Europe, with Bulgaria in particular suffering huge losses in combat operations.
These territories were taken from the Empire in the Treaty of London that ended the war. However, League members failed to reach an agreement regarding the division of the various territories, and against this background, the Second Balkan War broke out.
In the second war, Bulgaria fought against the other members of the league. The war against Bulgaria was even joined by Romania, which was afraid of a large-scale Bulgarian sphere of influence. At the end of the war, in the Bucharest Agreement, all of Bulgaria's gains from the previous war were completely erased, except for a coastal strip near the Aegean Sea that remained in its hands. Part of the Dobruja region passed from Bulgarian control to Romania, Greece received the territories of Thessaloniki and Serbia received Macedonia. As a result of these changes, the main power in the Balkans shifted from Bulgaria to Serbia.
Thus when the Great War began Bulgaria joined the German Alliance with the hope of receiving territorial gains, and indeed it was generously rewarded by the Germans following the end of the war – with most of Serbia being transferred to the Bulgarian Tsardom and the entire Black Sea coast taken from Romania back to Bulgaria at the International Peace Conference of the Hague. The new territories brought new hope to the Bulgarian people, who prospered in these post-war days due to an economic alliance with Mitteleuropa, and as result, the Bulgarians did not bother to hide their sympathy for the Germans, even after the 1929 German economic crash and when it seemed that the established world order was beginning to crumble as more and more powers became Integralist and avowed anti-German. At that time, the reported German pogroms did not affect the Bulgarian domestic policy - which continued to allow a rich cultural life for Bulgarian Jews.
As a token of gratitude to the Germans and out of fear of a non-German Europe that would be hostile to them, the Bulgarians quickly and almost automatically joined the German side in World War II. In retrospect, contrary to the results of the Great War, the Tsardom got the short end of the stick and suffered a colossal defeat.
Although the Bŭlgarska armiya was relatively well equipped for the Serbian and Albanian threats and even advanced directly to the Serbian city of Niš, difficult terrain conditions soon made the front static along with reports of abuse of Serbian prisoners of war. The Greek declaration of war on Bulgaria which concerned many was merely only the beginning of bad tidings, each one greater than the other.
Eventually Romania declared war as well almost a year into the start of World War II. The Bulgarian army simply could not deploy on so many fronts and received encirclements one after another, as the Romanian invasion was unrestrained and ruthless. In less than a month and a half afterwards, all of Bulgaria was conquered. With no other option, the Bulgarian government announced unconditional surrender to the Pact of Iron.
A new puppet government was established which received all administrative dictates from Paris and Bucharest while the Tsar was found dead by suicide, in a clear indication of the national situation.
Pact soldiers were allowed to loot whatever they needed, and Bulgarian national historical works were transferred to other countries. It was the darkest period of the Bulgarian people, who experienced quite a few tragedies in the past.
And an even darker period for the Bulgarian Jews, when in 1944 the government approved the request of Russia and Romania to transfer 11,343 Jews to "labor camps" after a preliminary "deportation" of 9,000 other Jews (the extermination of the Jews in the Holocaust often received such titles, although those who ''discussed'' the request knew what it was truly about – an extermination camp).
However, hope can be found even in the most difficult moments. As the Germans eventually got closer to Bulgaria, the Bulgarian people revived the guerrilla action against the local Pact forces. Bulgarian public figures protested after the expulsion of the Jews of 1944, among them the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, bishops and parliamentarians and managed to prevent the deportation to extermination camps of about 48,000 more Jews before the liberation of Bulgaria by the Kaiserliche deutsche Armee while the survival rate of the Jewish population in Bulgaria was among the highest of controlled Pact nations. On February 1, 1945, hundreds of Bulgarian Pact collaborators were executed by German forces in an event that received international condemnation and Bulgarian silence. Bulgaria emerged from the war with a terrible sense of loss.
The brief period of complete German military occupation ended sooner than expected, when both the Americans and the Germans reached agreements on the re-creation of the Tsardom with Macedonia once again returned to Bulgaria in the Treaty of Aachen. In those days, Bulgaria still needed German economic and military support to prevent anarchy and enable basic functioning and so it suffered after Operation Halfmoon despite not being classified as an enemy nation for the purposes of the operation. Therefore, it did not show any opposition to the American soldiers who came to manage and start the rehabilitation of the region, and cooperated with them as Secretary of State Grew was able to finally settle the territorial disputes that led to almost a century of tensions and wars in the region with virtually all (devastated) Balkan countries signed the Sofia Agreements in exchange for participation in the ''Grew plan'', as they formally committed to ceasing and ending any territorial claims and opened full diplomatic relations with each other.

In 1901, the Italian Guglielmo Marconi reached his great achievement – a telegraph transmission from Europe across the Atlantic Ocean to America.
The German-Jewish Gustav Ludwig Hertz has already proved that electricity can pass through electromagnetic waves, those waves whose frequencies span across the spectrum from X-ray waves to UV waves, microwaves, and radio waves. Hertz conducted an experiment on the subject, got the frequency unit named after him, and has been able to transmit sounds not only through an electric cable (ie telegraph) but through the air (wireless telegraph). The last breakthrough was made by a Serbian genius named Nikola Tesla who demonstrated the system to the public in 1903.
A wireless telegraph does what a cable telegraph does – it transmits a message from point to point. What will make it a world changer is the human understanding that this technological ability can be used not only from a transmitting point to a receiving point, but from a transmitting point to dozens of receiving points at the same time and later tens of millions of receiving points. This is how the radio was born. The radio and the wireless telegraph are technically very similar and thus the radio was a natural continuation of the telegraph with the help of inventors and entrepreneurs (a famous story is of David Sarnoff, an American Jew who worked for Marconi's telegraph company that also sold radios and insisted despite his boss's refusal to broadcast the 1920 World Series, which became the largest and most successful mass broadcast of that time and helped for the public to get used to the radio. It is also worth noting that he already suggested in 1915 that the company change its branding to the ''Radio Corporation of America'' and sell music boxes to consumers, but the process took place only after General Electric bought the company).
Telegraph connected points; The radio connected audiences. Those who sat on an isolated farm, those who worked in a factory, those who relaxed in the living room of their homes, suddenly everyone had the ability to hear at the same time leaders’ speeches, classical music (and later rock and roll), they heard dictators, declarations of war and peace. Historical events were reported as quickly as possible on the evening news. The world with the radio will become more accessible to the masses.
In 1925, Scottish inventor John Logie Baird managed to produce a device that transmitted images of moving figures clearly and not just voices. In 1937 the RCA conducted its first television broadcast, while the first television receivers sold were physically large and took up space in the home living room like a piece of furniture and the viewing screen was small. During this period there were still no long broadcast hours and on certain days there were only special broadcasts. These broadcasts content was scarce and included mainly news and coverage of special events, such as various sports events.
World War II significantly slowed down the development of the television broadcasting industry. All technological effort was directed to the war effort. Only after the war did the industry begin to gather momentum again. Starting in 1947, a dramatic development can be seen in the amount and variety of commercial television broadcasts in the US and, along with it, in the rest of the developed world (together with a significant reduction in the price of the television compared to the pre-war world). A variety of comedy, drama and thriller programs aired alongside editions of news, entertainment, and other leisure programs. The American people began to buy televisions in droves, and this only encouraged the industry to invest in more reliable models and more continuous broadcasts.

Hey Everyone! Uber here again with the third of our Dragon Development Diary!
Today, we are going to go over everything that makes a dragon a dragon! This should introduce our core concepts that will be used in further dev diaries as we explain the features to come. As always, everything here is still WIP, but we hope this sates your appetites for another week while we continue to put the finishing touches on these fantastic beasts!

A Dragon and its types.

In the early stages of our dragon feature development, we acknowledged the importance of striking visuals, as seen in Buckzor’s extraordinary diary last week. Still, we knew we needed to go beyond aesthetics to bring each dragon to life mechanically. We've focused on hopefully making them distinct while implementing intuitive cues to help you quickly tell the dragons apart.
Starting from the top, the three most significant differences in a dragon - Is it a Wild Dragon, freely roaming the wilderness? Is it Tamed, able to be ridden through the skies and into battle? Is it simply owned - laying around a dragonpit, waiting for a rider to claim it?

Wild dragons are those that remain untamed and unclaimed by any ruler, living in their natural state. These dragons roam freely across the land, typically staying close to their lairs. Wild dragons cannot be used for combat or travel, and they pose significant risks to any ruler, realm, or location within their hunting range. A ruler who possesses a dragonpit (more on that later) can try to capture a wild dragon to make it an owned dragon. Meanwhile, you might see a local hero or brave knight attempt to tame the dragon directly or courageously endeavor to end its reign by hunting the beast where it lies.

Owned Dragons are those claimed by a ruler but not yet tamed by a dragonrider. They reside in their owner’s capital. Like Wild Dragons, Owned Dragons cannot be used in combat or for travel, but they are easier to tame than their wild counterparts. Characters who have not yet tamed a dragon can interact with an owned dragon at their court, either attempting to form a bond with the creature or trying to tame it directly.

Tamed Dragons are dragons that a dragonrider has successfully tamed. If their rider is a ruler, they will reside in their ruler's capital; if not, they will stay in the capital of their employer. However, this is unless they are actively serving in an army or being used for travel by their Riders. Besides Travel and Warfare, riders have numerous ways to interact with their tamed dragons, including taking them for joyrides, increasing their bond with their dragon, or trying to level their rider’s experience at dragon riding.

The Personality of a Dragon.

Each dragon possesses a unique personality, as shown through the Main Series, with Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. Drogon is fierce and wild, Viserion displays cleverness, tameness, and affection towards Daenerys, and Rhaegal seems to strike a balance between the two. This is further explored in "Fire & Blood" during the Dance of Dragons. Here, dragons like Silverwing are portrayed as relatively docile and friendly towards strangers, while Vermithor grows more tolerant of people and increasingly receptive to new riders. To connect with this, We have introduced a variety of dragon-specific personality traits. These traits intend to complement each other naturally, influencing these dragon characters and who they interact with in many ways.
Originally, we had set out to create every dragon trait as the “dragon” equivalent of vanilla personality traits 1-1. While it worked and took us through most of the development, we occasionally ran into issues where we didn’t like how some personality traits had been grouped when different dragons had been spawned. These issues led to many conversations between Foxwillow and I, where we agreed that to make these better in gameplay and ‘realism’, we needed to create different Personality Scales and then base traits among them.
Our different scales revolve around a Dragon’s general demeanour, conflict tendency, Interactions with Humans, dominance over peers, combat strategy, whether they do better as part of a pack or as a lone wolf, and finally, their feeding habits.

The Dragon Stats / Attributes.

Developing is a funny activity. Sometimes things that sound simple can be very deceptive, and dragon statistics fell into this bucket. Of course, we knew the standard diplo, martial, stewardship, intrigue, learning array was not going to be useful for a dragon, but deciding what to replace it with has been an evolving process. We needed to think what traits would the player care about for a dragon? What should be presented vs just used in the back end? In the end, we decided on a few key statistics that we think cover the broad base of what’s important when looking at a dragon.

The first and simplest to explain is dragon size.

As expected, this is how big the dragon is. Dragons will grow as they age and, just as in the lore, will never stop growing, though the rate does slow down as they get older. Baby dragons will grow by ~30% yearly, while a 100-year-old dragon might grow only 1% larger yearly. We currently target a size of about 20 as an adolescent dragon, ~40 as an adult, and over 100 as a large dragon (think Cannibal, Vhagar, Vermithor, etc), though, of course, all of that is subject to balancing changes.

The next simplest is Temperament. We wanted a way to reflect the nature of the dragon itself. How approachable is it? Is it more like Silverwing, or like the Cannibal? Will it tear your arm off, watch warily, or approach curiously? Temperament will be largely driven by the traits of the dragon, though some events, both as it grows and afterwards, can permanently change the temperament of a dragon as its experiences change its approach to the world

This nicely leads us to Draconic Dread. You can think of this as the presence of the dragon. The fear it strikes into the hearts of men. This was created because some things, like a dragon being Skittish, would likely harm its temperament but actually make it less scary. Still, it is largely a factor of its size and temperament, and a more dreadful dragon will be more stressful to interact with. You will need to get over your fear of should you wish to claim its power for your own…

Which takes us to Taming Chance. This is exactly what it sounds like - how innately susceptible to taming a dragon is. Of course, though there is a correlation with temperament and dread, we realized that some traits would not map 1:1 to those prior concepts either. For example, though a Voracious dragon is likely of worse temperament than a Restrained one, it would actually be easier to tame as it’s very food motivated. While only important when a dragon is not yet tamed, we thought that this was such an important factor for the 99% of non-dragon rider characters that might be scouting out a dragon that it deserved its own spot.
Finally, we have Combat Effectiveness (excuse the lack of photo - icon still to be made). This is the most recent addition to the list. Though we always had a more complex structure in the back end, feedback from our QA team has shown that combat effectiveness should be its own displayed statistic rather than using size as a proxy. Of course, this will still be very dependent on a dragon’s size, but will mean that we can have additional congenital traits like Swift to reflect dragons like Meleys or Caraxes that, whilst not being the largest dragons alive, could go talon-to-talon with dragons larger than themselves.

Mysterious Origins

The true nature of dragons is debated, both in the halls of the Citadel in-universe and in the very real forums on Reddit. It’s unclear if dragons truly have a ‘gender’ as all characters in CK3 do, and to what extent a partner is required for them to lay a clutch. There are in-lore examples of ‘female’ dragons who never lay an egg, of male dragons who may have, and of mysterious eggs without clear origins. There are tales of mates, such as Vermithor and Silverwing, while others, like Dreamfyre, have none recorded but laid many. Further, its likely this will never be fully answered in the books. What seems most likely to our team is that dragons can either be fertile or not, and likely have no true gender themselves.
However, both because implementing genderless characters in CK3 would be a nightmare, and because Westeros is hardly the most progressive place, we’ve decided to take a perspective-based approach. Whatever the ‘true’ nature of dragons is, characters certainly regard them as male and female, and so we shall too - dragons' genders will be revealed over time, either at birth due to Maester’s analysis of their movements, due to riders intrinsically knowing the gender of the dragon they ride, or due to the dragon laying a clutch and proving their femininity beyond doubt.

It should be stressed that this kind of surprise will be relatively rare. Most genders will be clear by the time the dragon reaches adulthood, and such surprise egg-laying situations shouldn’t happen all that often. While this isn’t the most impactful feature gameplay-wise, we thought that it was an important reflection on the mysteriousness of dragons in ASOIAF lore, and bringing the same feeling to our mod is always something we try to do where possible. Hopefully, the more roleplay-heavy players amongst you will appreciate this extra effort!
FINAL NOTE!!! IMPORTANT
We asked you to hype, and oh boy, hype you have been doing. We do feel we should step in to temper expectations just that little bit. Yes, you're right, there will be a bookmark coming with dragons, but it will be one bookmark. (We will dive in deep soon, we promise!) But it’s not 2 or even 3 like we have seen some people suggest. Despite how simple they may seem to play, bookmarks are actually incredibly difficult to design, particularly complex ones. Dragons has already taken a lot of focus from the team - getting one bookmark done was already a stretch goal for us. While we are proud of the work we've done, and grateful for your faith, even we are not so productive as to make 2+ bookmarks at the same time as a feature of this scope. Never fear though! All good things come in time, and now that dragons are made, many more bookmarks are open to us. In fact, there's already been some discussions on some of the more requested ones on the dev forums 👀, but for another day 😉.

I am a 23 year old male with Ulcerative colitis. Weight: 75kg. Height: 183 cm.
I have read that wound healing gos slower in immunocompromised patients. And building muscle requires you to tear your muscle fibres (on very small scale but i've read thats what it comes down to.) I take immunosupressants for my ulcerative colitis (first prednisone. Now only vedolizumab) but I also work out alot. I have been having a lot of muslce aches which I heard normally go away if you've been working out a while. They however don't seem to go away. I also notice I dont progress at the same speed as my peers while I do pay attention to diet and protein intake.
Does muscle growth hold the same principles as wound healing? Or is there an error in my thought proces? And if the above is true should I implement more rest days?

I was able to figure this out through this guy's visit to the recording sets; where he said he's 6'2.
At about 10:36, this guy hugged Freddie, but right before he did, there was a few frames where I was able to determine freddie's height based on this image. So, I did what any sane person would do, and scaled to mesure as exact as I could; as in this frame, we know his hair meets the top of Freddie's mouth area, so with a rough estimate cannon hight of about 7', with a slight margin, he's between 6'11 and 7'1. so my average rounded to this!

Hello! I’m (21F) trying to lose 5lb I accidentally put back on and have been in around a 600-750 deficit for the last month and have seen absolutely no change in the scales! I’m an average BMI (21) so know the weight loss won’t be fast but within a month I would’ve expected more based on previous times I’ve lost weight.
I have started lifting weights and doing some Pilates consistently for the first time and getting in good protein but I wouldn’t say Im pushing myself hard enough to see enough muscle growth to prevent me from seeing the scales going down. The only progress I have seen is a couple cm on my waist (EDIT to this the lower waist has dropped by about 2 inch but small waist only 1 cm) and legs but I’m wondering if that’s just inflammation that’s reduced because I’m eating cleaner? Any ideas or tips?

I'm writing this in order to remind my stupid brain that progress isn't linear, to stay on track, and to, well, not be stupid.
Brief background: I started my journey on April 2nd, at 153+ kg / 336+ lb (I don't know the exact starting weight because my scales kept saying "over limit"). I have since started going to the gym 3-5 times per week, and changed my diet to a balanced, healthy one. I also quit all sweet stuff for now, because I'm not good at moderation when it comes to sugar. I'm 36F and 171 cm (5'7).
Today I weighed 145,2 kg. Only 0,1 kg less than yesterday. This is where I don't know whether to laugh or cry at myself. Only 0,1 kg?! In a day? My brain is tripping. But the thing is, I lost on average 0,5 kg every DAY for the last week. I was afraid of this reaction from myself...
I know that it would have been fine even if it had showed 0,5 kg MORE than yesterday, because weight just works that way. Besides, I kept to my calorie goal well over the weekend - didn't have any chocolate cake or ice cream etc over the weekend, despite birthdays and Mother's Day (yay me!).
(I'm not even remotely discouraged from continuing to eat healthy and move my body, but I'd like to unlearn this involuntary thought process asap so I don't end up losing motivation when I eventually plateau.)
Alright, vent over. I'd love to hear if you guys have methods that you use on days like this, to not let yourself self sabotage, even in your heads!

Vent incoming.
I'm writing this in order to remind my stupid brain that progress isn't linear, to stay on track, and to, well, not be stupid.
Brief background: I started my journey on April 2nd, at 153+ kg / 336+ lb (I don't know the exact starting weight because my scales kept saying "over limit"). I have since started going to the gym 3-5 times per week, and changed my diet to a balanced, healthy one. I also quit all sweet stuff for now, because I'm not good at moderation when it comes to sugar. I'm 36F and 171 cm (5'7).

2024.05.13 06:50 Careless-River-776 Thoughts on T1 moving forward this MSI.

Im confused why T1 are so stucked on their old drafts that only worked for them last 2023. I felt like them winning the world championship sucked them into this vacuum that they feel like what work in the past will work also in current game. Sure no doubt they have 5 roles that has one of the best mechanical skills and can ignore draft differences, they always get away with bad drafts with sheer mechanics winning every deficit they face early game for the past 1 year from domestic and international they played in. But now good teams exposes them like G2, GenG and now BLG. with those draft gaps that they are so stubborn with in the past now it come to bite them as good teams makes less mistakes and with that their bad draftings lose them the game, can't find angles to win, teams has better understanding how to scale safely by not getting steam rolled by T1.
In addition i kinda wanna see how they draft on their 1st year as a team together Zofgk. The time they draft for Gumayusi and not this double AD botlane, AD top lane. Take off the guy with senna/non-interactive champions and let him carry again.
It literally shows how 1 dimensional how Tom draft preperations vs. BLG, when they banned 5 mid lane champions. They could just drafted for Gumayusi instead and surrounded him with good supporting champions. Ruler, Viper, deft and other legendary adc's can make it why not go with gumayusi too? try him let him shine.

Biography

Dark Enerjak (or simply Enerjak) was formerly known as Knuckles the Echidna, Guardian of Angel Island. The timeline of this world resembles that of standard Mobius' exactly save for one event: Dark Mobius lacked the interference of Knuckles' time-traveling daughter at the time of Knuckles' would-be assassination. Jaded and still wielding the almighty power of his Chaos Knuckles form, he would slowly corrupt and transform into an evil despot who felled everything before him, including Super Sonic, with almighty force. Embracing his dark power, he adopted the title of Enerjak--the evil god that empowered and corrupted his ancestors before him--and destroying all those who stood in his way, taking the souls of those who managed to survive or resist him to use for his Prelate minions.
Decades later, only a scant few Freedom Fighters, led by his daughter Jani-Ca, had their souls intact enough to resist him (which, of course, he allowed by design since he'd be too bored without their resistance). It wasn't until the the main timeline's Silver the Hedgehog discovering Dark Mobius that Enerjak decided to fight once again. Enerjak gloats, goads, and takes great entertainment in the entertainment his opponent's struggles give him. Do not forget, though: Enerjak is a god.

My last post criticized Tui’s shallow writing and lack of notable improvement throughout the series. This post is meant to be the constructive half of my criticism by posing 39 queries and ideas that would help make the world of Wings of Fire feel more substanced, varied, distinct, and nuanced.
Since I received comments on my previous post about fanfiction and its capacity to add depth to a franchise, feel free to steal any of these ideas and write about them. Or, if you’ve got any good ideas that you’re willing to share, comment them below. Let’s craft some stories worth telling.
  1. SeaWings hunt sharks solo as a part of their coming-of-age rite.
  2. RainWing names are chosen by the grandmother.
  3. RainWings value music. All dragonets are taught musical instruments as a necessary part of their curriculum.
  4. The IceWing kingdom is divided into territories each ruled by a lady. Dragons who have done an exceptional service to the crown may be awarded a territory.
  5. The IceWing Assembly is composed of the aforementioned territorial rulers. Membership is hereditary. The Assembly runs some of the day-to-day business of the kingdom by reviewing legislature, managing affairs of public interest, and advising the queen. However, they can also check the power of the queen by forming coalition against her and blocking or passing laws.
  6. An IceWing princess needs to do more than just kill her mother to gain the throne, or she may not keep it for long: she must also make allies and supporters within the Assembly. An unpopular queen may find it difficult to exercise her power with a reticent Assembly.
  7. NightWings like composing riddles and poems; it is a favored pastime. They would gather in groups and make games out of guessing riddles, constructing verse, and engaging in friendly competition.
  8. There are few to no trees on the island, a scarcity of animals, and the NightWings don’t trade; thus they have taken to molding clay tablets, carving into them with a stylus, and firing them in a kiln to harden. parchment is as rare and coveted as gold.
  9. NightWings were known historically for their metallurgy, so advanced that it seemed mystical to other tribes. Legends speak of their immunity to and mastery over fire, their ability to mold metals with their talons, and the magic associated with metalcraft.
  10. The NightWings invented Damascus steel, which allowed them to forge weapons of exceptional quality. Knowledge of its craft was kept a tribe secret, and the NightWings kept their monopoly on it for thousands of years until Darkstalker forced the NightWings to flee their homeland, and the art was forgotten.
  11. Why is the royal challenge so prevalent across tribes? Why can only females challenge? How did it begin in the first place?
  12. The MudWing royal family employs seniority succession, in which the throne is passed to the monarch’s younger sibling and not their children. Both male and female royalty can rule.
  13. SandWing inheritance is a type of matrilineal system in which a male’s possessions are handed to his sister’s sons.
  14. What is the currency of the dragon world? Is it based on a gold standard? Does each tribe employ its own currency, is there a universal currency, or is there both an international and local currency for each tribe?
  15. A NightWing is not given a name at birth; it is earned through their extended family and friends.
  16. MudWings forge coins with a hole in the center, allowing them to string ropes of coins along their necks.
  17. The HiveWing takeover of the LeafWings was subtle and gradual: the LeafWing queen remained in power as a puppet and the tribe did not formally integrate with the HiveWings, instead existing as a vassal state. Over time, they lost theirs rights and power.
  18. Firebreathing tribes consider the ability a divine gift and a powerful kind of magic. It allowed dragonkind to ascend their animal states, purge the scavengers, and become civilized peoples who cook their food, build advanced infrastructure, and produce all kinds of advanced technologies. Firebreathing dragons consider themselves inherently superior to non-firebreathers, blessed with a divine right. Fire is associated with truth, clarity, and expansion of the mind.
  19. When a LeafWing hatches, he is given a protective necklace made of silver, meant to ward evil spirits. He grows up within a cohort of same-sex dragonets who work and learn together. Adulthood is not marked by age, but by initiation, which can only occur when the right signs are read in the natural world. A dragon 100 years of age would still be considered a dragonet, and unable to choose a mate, if he has not been initiated.
  20. When a HiveWing hatches, he is presented to the family matriarch, who formally decides whether to accept him into the family.
  21. Tribeless dragons reject the kingdoms. Lone wolves or pack hunters, they roam the continent in small bands, sometimes coexisting with the tribes, sometimes coming into conflict, and often selling their services as messengers or mercenaries.
  22. Why are all the tribes so isolated? Why do they not engage in international trade?
  23. Trade guilds are made up of tribeless dragons who have found a lucrative business in trade. Since the tribes are largely xenophobic and like to avoid each other, these guilds act as an intermediary: they roam the continent, acquiring goods from one tribe and trading them with another. From this great influx of wealth emerged two or three trade empires, geographically insignificant but titans in money-making. They’ve become so powerful that they’re forcing the kingdoms to compete economically in new ways.
  24. Do dragons have access to banking institutions? Do they take out credit or write checks? Does an international banking service exist?
  25. How about a postage system? Domestic, international, or both? How would it work?
  26. SeaWings believe in reincarnation, and that deceased family members will hatch into the same family over and over. When a dragonet hatches, he is examined for any resemblance to a deceased family member, and may be named after said dragon.
  27. The RainWings’ most lucrative trade is in spices and herbs.
  28. Do dragons pay taxes?
  29. Why is there no form of gender or class stratification in any tribe besides HiveWings and SilkWings? If only females can become monarchs, does this matriarchal mindset extend anywhere else in society? Are families matrilineal? Do females have rights or privileges over males?
  30. On that note, why are there no gender roles either?
  31. What sorts of jobs exist with a kingdom? How would a carnivorous diet affect livelihood, economy, and society?
  32. Brittlescale is a condition which may arise due to undernourishment or malnutrition. Signs of the ailment include dull, malformed scales, scales that crack easily, and loose scales.
  33. Dueling is a common method of defending and proclaiming one’s strength and honor. Just as princesses challenge queens, common dragons will duel to prove their worth.
  34. How do dragons understand medicine and the body?
  35. SilkWing traditional garments are made of silk. Silk is one of the most precious and coveted products in the kingdom.
  36. Spiders feature heavily in SilkWings culture and mythology as craftsmen and weavers.
  37. SandWing venom is a neurotoxin. It can be drawn from the tail, distilled to increase its potency, applied to weapons, or made into a powder. Alternatively, it can be diluted into a drug used in anxiety medication and to treat insomnia.
  38. Do dragons modify their bodies? Do they wear piercings, tattoos, or body paint?
  39. How have dragons evolved over 2000 years? What biological, social, cultural, religious, political, economic, and technological advancements or regressions have taken place?
Edit: to the replies commenting that many of these have already been mentioned in the books and that I should’ve finished them: I should clarify that I was trying to prompt the sort of thinking that would lead to deeper worldbuilding. Instead, I have committed the same failure which I accused of Tui, that being to sketch and to prod but never to define or populate. I realize now that I should’ve selected fewer entries and expanded on them thoroughly to prove my point. I apologize.

Notes:
•thought to originally have been the very similar entity claiming to go by that name that has threatened the earth since 1964, this error was only horrifically corrected in 2019 when the real one was freed from his icy prison in the Antarctic by the terrorist organization known as New Dawn and their leader, Alan Jonah, and a former Monarch Scientist, Emma Russell, in order to control him and cause a revival of Titan activity on the surface and bring about the healing of the environment without the need for human intervention. This failed dramatically and drastically. Though originally in his Disguised Form in the beginning and much of the first half of the incident, he eventually discarded it in favor of his Compact Form for much of the latter half of the incident before discarding even that for his True Form for the last battle once his mood had soured and had turned into wrath. He was eventually defeated by Godzilla when he went into his Burning Mode, utterly obliterating the entirety of Ghidorah’s physical form and giving the stellar tyrant the taste of a true death. Unfortunately, three heads that were ripped off the body earlier were found by New Dawn, with two being sold to Apex Cybernetics and the third being kept for themselves for a project of their own. It was in this disastrous project that Ghidorah found his rebirth, but that story is for another day.
•as told by the Shobijin, there was once a gigantic meteor that hurtled into the earth in what would eventually become Mexico when man had yet to move out of their dens of the ground, and caused a massive die off in the region when it impacted, turning all that it killed into a sort of bio slurry. What came out of it were three writhing, black and blue mounds of flesh and golden scales that proceeded to lap up the matter, absorbing traits from the consumed beings that also enhanced their own reforming. By the time these abominations against nature were done, three draconian creatures of titanic proportions stood there before where the fleshy mounds once stood, which proceeded to go on individual rampages across the globe. This senseless destruction was only halted by the combined might of Godzilla, Kappa and Mosura along with a young titan named Shimo, successfully warding off these creatures and sending them fleeing. It was then that Godzilla and Shimo discovered being similar to them in what would eventually become the Antarctic, but smaller, more golden in color and with three heads. Not taking any chances, however, Godzilla had Shimo freeze them on the spot, also unintentionally an ice age. It was through the Ghidorah’s last fight in 2019 that these three beings were in fact each of Ghidorah’s heads, which are able to form their own bodies at will and allows them to fight multiple targets simultaneously at once with more grace due to their smaller frames in comparison to their True Form.
•despite absorbing many traits from earth’s flora and fauna, however, Ghidorah still displays traits utterly foreign to humanity. For example, each head has two sets of fangs that are somewhat dexterous, usually tucked away in the mouth until they are needed. Driving each fang is a six layered group of compact muscles that allow him to drive them into their prey with great force, able to penetrate thick scales and armor and into the tender flesh below. A second danger lies in fact that each fang is connected to a individual venom gland, generating a toxin from the exact same compound that causes Ghidorah’s blood to be black and oily in composition and makes Ghidorah’s unscaled skin a bright blue in color. Though not usually lethal to most Titans, a proper dosage of the venom causes its victim to become sluggish in movement and foggy minded, leading to minor mistakes that Ghidorah can then take full advantage of to turn any fight on its head and come out strongly victorious. It has also been discovered by Monarch that a large enough dosage of the odd venom can straight up knock out a large Titan bigger than 80 meters tall and heavier than 50,000 tons for up to 12 hours. This discovery has recently allowed Monarch to create a powerful tranquilizer that they can use to almost instantly down a raging Titan so that it be safely transported back to its territory with a trove of their favorite foods in order to soothe their bruised egos and douse their rage. This came in handy when Monarch had to transport Kong to the Hollow Earth entrance in the Arctic in 2024.
•through Apex’s thorough dissection of both Ghidorah heads, it was discovered that Ghidorah’s skeleton was both extremely elastic and very durable at the same time, allowing his body to not only twist and turn in ways impossible for other creatures, but also allow him to better withstand the strain put upon it that would cause other skeletons to crack and break under the pressure. It was also found that Ghidorah’s vertebrae in the neck were compacted, meaning that Ghidorah usually kept their neck in it’s shortest length, only deploying it’s actual length to throw off his enemies and to effectively use their horns to their most deadly effect; it was also found that additional neck plates, scales and dorsal spines were hidden under the surface, easily clicking into place and just as easily folding back up by a simple muscle movement generated by the neck’s extension and retraction. Due to the severe damage caused to the base of the neck, Apex’s researchers could only speculate that the full extension of the neck lies somewhere around 700 meters, give or take 50-70 meters. This has some global researchers come to doubt the recognized length of Ghidorah’s True Form, believing that it has been erroneously declared with insufficient scientific data and certainty. This debate still rages on, with no end in sight due to the lack of sufficient evidence to prove or disprove the currently recognized length of Ghidorah’s True Form.
•though still highly debated by academics and recognized parapsychologists in Japan and the West, there is a not insignificant amount of claims that they saw people who had gazed into one of the eyes of Ghidorah for too long gain a glazed look and seemed to act as if they were under the sway of a greater, malevolent mind that adapted alarmingly quickly to adeptly maneuvering a bipedal structure different from its own. They then claim that these people went on to either commit various acts of extreme violence or take their own lives in a gruesome manner or fashion. Though there are reports of violence and suicides throughout the areas where Ghidorah had treaded during his rampage across the world, most are attributed to those with a known history of violence and those who were homeless or in poor financial and mental conditions prior to this. Most have declared that while these cases are tragic and disturbing, they assure the public that Ghidorah cannot control so many people at once while fighting for their life at the same time. What is less debatable, however, is the fact that Ghidorah has known and recognized psychic abilities; the main ones are his ability to conjure up hurricanes that can blot the world in darkness, the ability to control the lightning produced by these storms wield them like a surgeon would as scalpel, and the ability to induce fanatic worship of himself and cause large scale violence in a designated region or locality, though this highly varies depending on Ghidorah’s proximity and his current state of wellness. There have even been instances where Ghidorah has directly influenced a single person, giving them a portion of his power that causes them to mutate traits similar to that of Ghidorah himself; some of these individuals have even mutated into outright miniature versions of Ghidorah, insanity and all. Ghidorah’s pride still treats these corrupted beings that are a pale imitation of himself as they would any other creature who has the unfortunate circumstance of crossing his path: as a pest to inevitability crush and destroy once their usage to Ghidorah has expired or they become a nuisance, in which case they would then swat them aside as a human would to an annoying nat or fly.
•Ghidorah’s history beyond earth is hard to come by, with most of earth’s off world allies in the Terran Alliance being fearful even to utter the King’s name. Those few who were willing to talk had little to offer other than rumors and legends passed down through so many generations due to their people barring in ancient times of writing down any information about the Great Enemy on the pain of death, fearing that doing so would attract his attention and/or wrath. While the punishment of death is no longer enforced nor endorsed by their current governments, it’s still considered a taboo to be found holding any information on the Great Enemy in physical form, with the guilty being ostracized and shunned from the community until they either die or go into voluntary exile. What they do say, however, is enlightening if one accepts the almost fantastical nature of the legend. The Great Enemy, known by the name of Ghidorah and many others, was birthed from a mortal mother by one of the great Star Gods, being of untold power who had forged the universe from the well of chaos and drove off the Never-were Spawn into destruction. Ghidorah’s sire, however, grew jealous at being ignored and shunned not only by their fellow Star Gods but also their own creations, as if they were a devil seeking to tempt them into sin. After one slight too many, Ghidorah’s sire-called Fallen Star in the legends that dare to whisper it-snapped and fell into full fledged insanity, declaring war on all of life so that he could suffer in peace and silence. The battle was colossal, due to Fallen Star being one of the strongest Star Gods at the time, with entire galaxies going into flames and a few of the Star Gods even being straight up devoured by him, with Fallen Star finally defeated and cast out of the Realm of the Gods and into the physical universe he had come to despised. Though no longer wielding the titanic might he once had or the immortality that shielded him from true death, Fallen Star was still a force to be reckoned with. Taking the name Ramutul, he found himself a mate and sired a legion of offspring with whom Ramutul used to conquer much of the universe under the Eternal Throne, a device powered by the suffering of quadrillions that would allow Ramutul to kill the Star Gods and claim their power for himself. This battle was just as fierce as the previous one, with the universe being almost torn apart at the seems by the sheer destruction on display. Ultimately, Ramutul was defeated a second time and was this time locked away in a pocket dimension, where it is said that he still plans his ascension into the ultimate being, his madness growing darker and darker with each second that lasts an eternity. His empire was shattered into smaller and smaller fragments, with some of the oldest stellar empires hailing from either Ramutul’s empire or the resistance formed against it. Though the Star Gods thought that all of Ramutul’s offspring had perished in the skirmish, a decent group of them led by a then much younger Ghidorah had survived through cunning, luck and brute strength. This group quickly scattered, their individual prides and egos unable to tolerate anyone else who were above them. Ghidorah and his two mates took the fragment of his father’s former empire that was in the Milky Way and created a brutal regime, being a constant thorn to the intergalactic community until his abrupt disappearance. Though this information tells much, with some of it even being corroborated by discovered ruins and artifacts, Scholars and researchers are still combing through the legends to discern what is prose and what is actual truth. This quest is still ongoing to the modern day

There's a long-standing issue from the Cutting Edge warbond, and while I imagine nobody cares, I care. A lot. It makes me really friggin' annoyed.

The EX-00, since release, has been broken on Lean bodytypes. Brawny gets thigh padding, Lean does not. How do I know it's not intended? Well,
  1. It leaves these fuck-ugly divots that the thigh padding hides.
  2. The CM-10 Clinician, using the exact same model, has thigh padding on both the Lean and Brawny versions.
  3. The dumptruck ass (not pictured for democratic reasons) is unique to this armor model and is alleviated somewhat by the thigh pads. With no thigh pads, the ass sticks way out, and looks not only unnatural but incongruent with the asses of other armors. It's important. Helldivers shouldn't need to rely* on synthetic ass to out-ass the competition. (edit: bad at spelling)
It's real frickin' annoying that the cool-ass Warbond armor came out the gate broken and ended up with a recolor released that wasn't even the same armor class! It's the same frickin' model, why is one Light and one Medium? This isn't even an apples-taste-like-bacon situation, this is like having a barrel of apples and half of them are the bacon apples for no apparent reason! Who the frick knows what kinda apple you're gonna get.
Why am I so frickin' mad? Well, I literally told them about this two months ago, using the support ticket system on their site.

Like... look. I'm sorry. I know they have a lot on their plate. I'm sure they're fixing shit left and right and I'm certain the breakneck pace of the monthly warbond is really grinding them down. But why the hell would I buy a new warbond if shit is gonna launch broken, or end up broken, and when I go through the effort to submit a report with a ticket and screenshots, they just close that shit down without even looking at it? Like, I don't frickin' know if this qualifies as "really requires the attention of their support team". By what metric am I supposed to judge that? Is "the thing I paid money for is broke" something that qualifies? It'd be one thing if they were just like "That's intentional, leans don't get protected thighs, ticket solved", it'd be stupid as hell but I could at least put it to rest. But nah.
And yes, I know Arrowhead is a small studio, but even the image for Cutting Edge literally shows the bugged thigh-armor-less version of the EX-00. Then when you look in-game, the image on the Cutting Edge warbond itself shows it as a Brawny with thigh armor, and the Inspect also shows it with the thigh armor.
Does it have the wrong material applied? Did the thigh armor bone get set to 0.0001 scale or something? My thighs are unprotected and vulnerable. Arrowhead is my only hope.
(Until I learn how to mod the game, I guess.)
