Gen 4 and Gen 6 are interesting picks for the basis of Legends games. And while we don't truly know what will happen in PLZA, I think selecting Kalos reveals some of the game pitch and the direction this is going.
Diamond and Pearl
In Diamond and Pearl, there was an event that never happened to battle and catch Arceus. With the key item Azure Flute, you would've been able to travel to Spear Pillar. However, Masuda later said the Azure Flute event was too complicated for players and the whole thing was dropped after the game's release.
D&P also had a number of other game issues including their small number of Fire-types.
Legends Arceus in some ways was revisionism for Sinnoh. GF aimed to redo the Azure Flute experience and add in more Fire-types including Cyndaquil and H-Growlithe. While many things changed, the game manages to deliver closer on the original promise for Sinnoh.
X and Y
If you take that mindset for PLA, it extends very easily to include PLZA. There have been a lot of posts over time over how X&Y feel unfinished, including the locked power plant, the ghost girl, the lack of a Zygarde storyline, and more.
Every so often you hear about some cancelled ideas for Kalos. I've heard they skipped Pokemon Z for Sun/Moon. I've heard X&Y were originally going to have a bunch of aliens in disguise roaming the region as invaders. I imagine there's a lot of ideas they scrapped.
Which is why they're going PLZA next. GF wants to deliver on a Kalos game of the scale they wanted. They could revise plenty of game points that were dropped before, and finish storylines they never did before. I think it's interesting that the Tapus and Ultra Beasts notably did not return to SV in any DLC. If they wanted to redo the alien plotline, they have a lot of ways to do that now.
I think we're still trying to figure out what a "Legends" game is, but I think a lot of it is about fan service.
Nostalgia
D&P came out in 2006. If you were a six-year old playing that as your first game, you would've been playing Legends: Arceus when you were 22. It was timed very well to those lukewarm players to recapture their nostalgia with a game that captures their interests specifically with the Azure Flute and Arceus. A Legends game, with an older main character and grittier storyline, does manage to feel slightly more mature in a way that should draw in a different player base.
As Pokemon gets close to its 30-year anniversary, they will need to keep finding ways to appeal to a wider player base. That means approachable games for new players but also deeper dives with nostalgia to keep others engaged in the franchise.
Legends: Kyurem?
I don't think there will be a Legends: Kyurem anytime soon. I know there are a small number of fans who really enjoyed the games and their sequels. They are games without major flaws. And that's why they're unlikely to get the Legends treatment. Using the same thesis above, I don't think there's anything major in these games that needs to be revisited. The only thing that never happened was the Lock Capsule event, which was so obscure you might not even know it existed.
Sure, there's the "original dragon", but I don't believe GF ever intended to add that to the game and then scrapped it last-minute.
Legends: Celebi
So with that in mind, I do think Legends: Celebi probably makes the most sense. Johto is one of the regions that underwent the biggest change in its entirety. Reading through beta content for G/S takes you through all kinds of interesting theories and what-ifs. Its locations changed a lot through development. I don't think the GS Ball event was ever distributed outside of Japan. The GS Ball was also dropped from the anime.
Other missing parts of the canon include the many scrapped Pokemon that were removed from the game including new evolutions, pre-evolutions, and entirely new designs. If GF ever wanted to revisit Johto, I would hope they go back into this list and pull out one or two of their favorites to make official.
Pokemon Go as a test bed?
Celebi plays a big role in Pokemon Colisseum, an obscure GameCube game in which it purifies the heart of a shadow Pokemon you 'snag'. So could Shadow Pokemon return in a Legends: Celebi game?
I think that Mega Evolutions coming to Pokemon Go in late 2020 showed these designs and mechanics had a lot of fan favor. I had really thought mega evolutions would be gone from the games entirely until they teased its return in PLZA. I wouldn't be surprised if their popularity in Go is what led them to reintroduce the mechanic.
Along the same lines, would shadow and purified Pokemon from Go ever be considered popular enough to make an official mechanic in a future game? G/S/C were about Team Rocket's return and using machines to draw out a Pokemon's strength (and rage). Sounds a bit like shadow Pokemon. They might do more revisionism and say they were always shadow.
This is all my personal speculation of course. But as we start to learn more about this specific series of games, I think it will definitely continue in the vein of bringing back older players by giving them answers to questions that were unresolved because the original answers were scrapped.

OMORI's my time is for Sunny, that is quite literally canon
Kikuo's is for Kel because it conveys a certain sense of happiness mixed with chaos with undertones of a repressed sadness. Despite the fact that Kel is the most interacted with RW character, the effect of Mari's death on him is expressed the least.
SOOOO's my time matches Basil and the overwhelming power of his guilt and fear. Sunny promised him that they would be there to help each other, but he left. How could he do such a thing? No matter how many times Basil told himself everything was going to be okay, it didn't bring Sunny back. These feelings rip poor Basil apart from the inside out, leaving the truth to rot what remained of his sanity.

It starts innocent and childish, then breaks down into a spiraling pit of broken memories. It doesn't convey the same rage that SOOOO's does, but Aubrey's anger isn't really conveyed that way. While she is very angry at her friends for abandoning her, she doesn't express it directly, which is why portraying instrumentally works better for her character.
I'm still looking for one that fits Hero, and I'll update this when I find one. Edit: I think Tunnelberg's cover fits Hero best, as it portrays the chaotic guilt he felt (since he thought HE was responsible for Mari's death) while also mixing in flatter lyrics (which can represent the void Mari made). It fits how Hero filled every waking moment with studies to keep himself from remembering Mari, and how when he does everything falls apart and he breaks down. If you ask me, this song sounds recovered. I think that while the impact of Mari's death impacted Hero the most (of the three who didn't know the truth, of course), he recovered the best. That's what this song feels like... recovered, but never the same.

Hey y’all. I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times, but what’s a good app or program to start learning Farsi?
I’m half-Persian (paternal side of the family immigrated to California to escape the revolution), and as a kid I was always discouraged from learning the language since my grandparents saw it as a dying language and felt that English was more beneficial to learn. Now that I’m older though (22), I want to start learning it both as a way to get more in touch with the culture and the other side of my heritage, and as a way of honoring my dad who died of cancer.

So, some context:
First time posting here and using a throw-away
I met X 3 years ago online. I (Y) am 34M, and X is 27F. Over the last 3 years we've been messaging, with X asking for money. Then arguments would flair up and I would block her as she would get really nasty things, including my past (which includes prison but I still maintain my innocence which she knows the full story).
I had recently unblocked her as I missed the laughs we did have. And everything was going OK...until she needed help. Of course, being the person that cared, I obliged.
I had a bereavement in the family and inherited a substantial amount of money (to me it was anyway) the majority of it, I sent in dribs and drabs to her to help her. And when the money ran out...that's when the arguments started.
I was working on my CV (Résumé for across the pond) and she joking said if I wanted to see a CV and sent me an image of her bbfs bf...the first paragraph contained a boast if how many cars he had, houses in places people would dream of etc...and that's when I called him a simp.
At first, she didn't tell me who or what it was about and I just laughed it off at first. We then got into an argument because she thought I was jealous of a "67 mill Italian boy". She then proceeded to block me and demand that I pay her to unlock me.
For the weekend, I was busy and she kept unblocking me (as I told her she's not getting a penny from me) and starting the whole process again.
Today, she unblocked me and we had it out. I explained with what I said I stood by as, I don't value people who show off money like that, she then goes into an explanation that people from her "world" ask for CVs from men so they don't get "time wasters" (people without money).
I was loosing it at that point and told her it was degrading and disgusting and that it's class separation. She then brought up my past, as I believe as a weapon and that's when I lost it and blocked her on WA.
When I thought I would get a reprieve from it all, she carried on through SMS saying she will give my ex an alibi for the romance fraud I've been telling X about...
This has messed with my head completely. Have I been used again for the money? Or AITA and causing an unnecessary argument...?

Why is this bad? The game being easy should be good right? Not for Helldivers. The game being too easy makes players treat it like a loot generator instead of a tense extraction/horde stealth shooter.
We have by far the most powerful arsenal we've ever had, against relatively fixed (compared to say, the spawnpocalypse of week 3 or so) spawn rates. We have figured out most of the mechanics that aren't clearly spelled out. So why is there so much panic over nerfs to single things?
Because the game has become an algorithmic loot generator for many players. Apply gun to mission, get loot. Do X, get Y. There's no chaos, we can deal with anything we want, so any perceived threat to this formulaic way of playing the game is The Worst Thing Ever.
The game needs to get harder to bring back the challenge and terror of the early weeks of gameplay, so people start focusing on adaptation and innovation in gameplay, rather than formulaic weapon picks.
It feels paradoxical but it needs to happen to bring the focus back to the correct parts of the game, and stop the negativity about nerfs in a sea of buffs.

NOTE: This guide contains a ton of gear and narrative spoilers
Most Sword Bard builds are either focused on either ranged or control + melee/AoE attack styles, and I wanted to explore whether or not it would be possible to take the best of both to make the ultimate martial all around build. This build features Sharpshooter with ranged damage of 20-30 per arrow and GWM + smite damage of 60-120 per single hit by the end game.

Background Theme

The theme for the build is a resisting dark urge, with a desire for redemption to become the champion of Baldurs's Gate. And this theme weaves through the playthrough with items and choices along the journey, for example:

• Getting branded by Priestess Gut and getting Loviatar's Love in at the Goblin Camp
• Saving the Nightsong (and Shadowheart) and forgoing the Spear of the Evening
• Becoming partial illithid in a quest for power
• In a moment of weakness, falling prey to the powers of Bhaal by becoming an Unholy Assassin at the Murder Tribunal, only to later realize that Sarevok and the tribunal must die.
• And finally rejecting Bhaal and giving up the dark urge powers.

Build Overview

The build centers around a combination of Bard and Paladin, with all three feats, for a Level 8 Sword Bard / Level 4 Oath of Vengeance Paladin. Feats are Shapshooter, Great Weapons Master and Tavern Brawler centered around Nyrulna for throwing + smite melee and the Titanstring bow for ranged giving absolute martial authority under almost all circumstances.
In addition to the primary martial strength, you gain the jack of all trades benefits of being a Bard, including exceptional social skills, relatively high charisma, good persuasion, deception, sleight of hand and stealth.
Early game, expect to play like any other dexterity/charisma bard, with the first 6 level progression on Bard alone.

• Focus on ranged fighting style, with enough stealth to dip in and out of battles solo, particularly against large groups like the Goblin Camp, in the Creche and the Gnolls
• Use flourishes, both ranged and melee to hit multiple targets in one round.
• Dual wielding hand crossbows early game.

By the end of Act 1, and with the acquisition of the Gloves of Dexterity in Creche Y'llek,a respec is needed to maximize the benefits of the Titanstring and the build plays like a ranged beast through all of the mid-game.
After level 6 of Bard, we begin to level into Paladin, which opens the door for the character to start building up melee power. Truth be told, I may have respec'ed a few times between levels 6-10 trying a few things on for size, but the most effective strategy mid-game was:

• Titanstring with Sharpshooter and Gloves of Dexterity for ranged flourishes and multiple Bard attacks that came online at level 6.
• Dual wield shortswords like Knife of the Undermountain King for smites (starting at level 8 - SSB 6/Pal 2) and melee flourishes.

By Act 3 and the late game, and with the acquisition of Nyrulna from the Djinni at the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington,the martial melee power took center stage, with ranged flourishes still very powerful, but no longer the primary attack strategy. And by level 12 and the end game, you have the choice between throwing Nyrulna for AoE or Slashing Flourish for specific ranged attacks.
Philosophically, the build is focused on fast nova damage to overwhelm a larger group by decimating them in the first 2 turns. High movement is key, we're always looking to surprise enemies, and taking advantage of stealth and invisibility to duck in and out of battle for the occasional "oh shit" moment or recharge of bardic inspiration.

Leveling Guide & Feats

As noted earlier, this build really doesn't come online until level 6, more so at level 8+. Prior to that, you're just an average ranged or melee bard, your choice. The end game goal is Level 8 College of Swords Bard / Level 4 Oath of Vengeance (or Oathbreaker) Paladin.
Race choices include Wood Elf, High Elf, Duegar Dwarf, Half Orc, Gnome or Halfling. I've always opted for one of the elves, primary because of movement speed. The fighting style that has evolved for me throughout multiple solo runs now is that you are often fighting in retreat, and movement is key to manage this. If you're playing this as part of a party, movement is less important.
Levels 1-6 - Bard

• Start at level 1 as a Bard with STR 8, DEX 17, CON 14, INT 8, WIS 10, CHA 16, and you should expect to respec at least once. Select Minor Illusion and Friends for Cantrips if doing a solo run, with a strong case to also be made for Mage Hand. If not for a solo, you have other options here. Longstrider is a key spell as well. For skills, optimize Persuasion (or Deception), Sleight of Hand, Stealth, and Performance, in that order. I chose Persuasion, Sleight of Hand and Stealth.
• At level 3, choose College of Swords. For spells, consider Invisibility, Cloud of Daggers (for some vital early AOE on a solo run), and Hold Person. You can also swap an existing spell slot here to get two of those three. Choose Two-Weapon Fighting for fighting style.
• At level 4, choose Sharpshooter for your first feat.

I recommend a respec as soon as you are able to purchase the Gloves of Dexterity, which for me happens usually around level 4 or 5 somewhere. When you do, choose STR 17, DEX 8, CON 14, INT 8, WIS 10, CHA 16.
Levels 7-8 - Paladin

• At level 7, start with your first Paladin level. I chose Oath of Vengenance.
• At level 8, choose either Defense or Great Weapon Fighting as your fighting style. At this point in the game, I was playing with dual wielded shortswords with Knife of the Undermountain King as primary, but you could also play with Halberd of Vigilance, Mourning Frost or some other two handed weapon. Melee is less important still at this point, since we chose Sharpshooter as our first feat and primary fighting style. This is really about your secondary melee damage dealing, so whatever you prefer for the mid-game.

Levels 9-10 - Bard
We're really just marching towards that second feat here. Choose whatever you want for spells, I like Freedom of Movement, Greater Invisibility, Fear, Hypnotize. For this build, spells are tertiary to ranged and melee damage, so the focus should be on enhancements and prep spells for battle, not in battle casting against enemies.

• At level 10, level 8 bard, grab the Great Weapons Master feat. By this time in the game, we have picked up Nyrulna and have a lot of spell slots for smites. This is where the melee part of this build really shines and starts to outpace the already amazing ranged archer. NOTE: If you chose Defense at level 8, respec to choose Great Weapon Fighting.

Levels 11-12 - Paladin
Again, we're marching to our third feat but you can pick up some great Paladin support and control spells like Command, Bless, Protection from Good and Evil, and additional smites.

• At level 12, level 4 Paladin, get the Tavern Brawler feat and put your ability point in Constitution (kid of doesn't matter, I'll explain in a bit). I thought about getting Savage Attacker here for maximizing crits on smites, or even an ASI into Strength, but ultimately wanted the flexibility of using Nyrulna as a solid throwing option and I'm glad I did. I might go back and try the other two options at some point.

Gear Guide

Not extensive, but I'll list out the important items I picked up and used along the way, but place an asterisk by absolutely essential items
Early Act 1

• Ring of Protection* - Worn pretty much the entire game, best ring in the game IMO (don't @ me)
• Titanstring Bow* - the build revolves around this bow
• Doom Hammer* - Absolutely essential for any solo of Myrkul to prevent healing from Reaper's Reward ability.
• Amulet of Misty Step
• Gloves of Archery
• Crusher's Ring
• Haste Helm

Late Act 1

• Gloves of Dexterity* - Essential to the build, worn throughout the game since the build was based on dumping DEX in the spec.
• DeathStalker's Mantle* - Durge item only, essential to the build to go invisible after a kill.
• Boots of Speed* - Worn pretty much throughout the game, I almost feel are essential for a solo run. These are top 3 items for me all game for any solo run.
• Periapt of Wound Closure* - Essential for me mid-game to have healing potions max heal. I wore throughout act 2.
• Club of Hill Giant Strength - This was essential before Gloves of Dex purchase
• Disintegrating Night Walkers
• Knife of the Undermountain King
• Mourning Frost
• Unseen Menace
• Caustic Band

Act 2

• Risky Ring* - I wore this most of the game as well, with some situational exceptions
• Cloak of Protection* - This was swapped out situationally with the Deathstalker's Mantle throughout the game, really the only two cloaks I used.
• Darkfire Shortbow - used situationally for fire/cold resistance
• Killer's Sweetheart
• Helmet of Arcane Acuity - used surprisingly little, but had to mention

Act 3

• Nyrulna* - Essential to the build, couldn't do this one without it unless you went full evil and did Shar's Spear of the Evening, but that goes against the theme here.
• Bhaalist Armor* - Essential to the build to get the smite damage maximized from Nyrulna.
• Sarevok's Horned Helmet*
• Helm of the Balduran*
• Amulet of Greater Health*
• Band of Mystic Scoundrel - used surprisingly little, but had to mention

Other Misc Tactics and Potions

I used Potion of Speed, Elixir of Bloodlust, Elixir of Viciousness, Invisibility, and various posions/toxins for weapon dipping throughout the game. Bloodlust was easily the most important for a solo run, I tried to put it on after as many long rests as possible, followed closely by speed potions and invisibility on a per battle basis. Buy Hyena Ears and Worg Fangs every time you see them.
I stocked up on tons of scrolls along the way, the most important of which were Haste, Remove Curse, Misty Step, Fireball, Lightning (+Chain), Mirror Image, Invisibility, Cone of Cold or other large AOE high level spells.

This resisting the dark urge run was my favorite playthrough so far, for both the narrative storyline, and how it played thematically into this build, with the choices between good and evil waffling back and forth along the way, ultimately leading to redemption. I think this is the best story arc of BG3.
I've considered a couple of other options for this build that I'd like to experiment with in the future, including ditching one of the feats and adding one level of War Cleric to get Sanctuary and Guidance. I will not lie, I save scummed a few times along the way and Guidance and Sanctuary would have helped me a bunch in those situations. However, it was rewarding to get the full martial with Tavern Brawler on Nyrulna in the end, will report back if I end up tinkering. Suggestions welcome!

Kinda a vent but I'm at a crossroads where I'm applying to new jobs and feeling frustration (that I understand is very normal and this is a tough market) and also feeling frustrated at work. I've been here 2.5 years and don't feel like I'm growing or really being involved the way I think I should. TLDR: at 2 year in, were you promoted to a new level, were you taking on bigger responsibilities, did you leave for a new job?
I get kind of "dropped" from pieces of big projects, or never copied and my manager doesn't help. When I ask if he can send me some email that I wasn't copied on but found out through someone else, he replies "I don't check to see who else is copied" "I didn't notice you weren't copied, I don't look". It's really tough because a lot of these things aren't directly my task but would help immensely with just having context of delays, quality issues, etc that are happening as part of my product line that Im the engineer for- so if i am asked to assist I can recall that X happened but we did Y and this is how I learned from it. I'll get tasks or notified of some issue at the customer and then see it started 2 weeks ago and I could have gained knowledge from it or offered help then.
I'm trying to tell myself I didn't get copied because it's not my scope. One of the big responsibilities promised to me when I was interviewing was failure analysis and interacting with the customer for solutions, whether manufacturing, quality, design, etc. I've never been involved in a failure analysis project.

Hey y'all! Everyone like Star Wars? I assume so, you're here. You like LEGOs? I hope so, because that's what I have for you! Yeah, a couple months back I downloaded BrickLink Studio and started messing around with it, everything from big projects of which I have actually completed... Exactly zero of, mostly because I would need to physically sort out all my LEGOs and that's actual tedious boring work, to little silly stuff that I've shared elsewhere.

One of those big ones has been my own playscale version of the classic original trilogy RZ-1 A-Wing that properly matches the proportions of the model used on-screen.
RZ-1 A-Wing and pilot, and the beginning of my rage against BLS's lack of minifig parts.
I've had that cooking for a few weeks now. I have the instructions, and there's at least three metric walls of text worth of detailing to drop with it when that happens, I just want to physically test-build it before I release them out into the wild which... Well, see above, but that didn't stop me from being gripped by inspiration early this morning to also create the A-Wing as seen in Rebels. Which made me realize that there are actually FOUR of them.
Rebels A-Wing one.
This one is the one I'm (second) happiest with of the bunch, mostly because the colors match the closest and it was the simplest of the "basic" model to make. There are some changes and concessions I had to make, if I were to consider the Rebels version completely separate from the one in Return of the Jedi (which I do) I should honestly not hold myself as strictly to the RotJ proportions, the animation team certainly didn't, but all-in-all I think it turned out really well regardless.

This one annoys the crap out of me, because all the blue is supposed to be the same color and... well LEGO's part production does not agree with that. In retrospect I probably should've made a render with all the blues the same as a comparison, but I only just now thought to do that and I've been at this for 10 hour by complete accident. Which sucks because this is the one that looks the most like the Ralph McQuarrie concept art of the A-Wing which the Rebels design was based on.

Now despite the last one annoying the crap out of me, THIS ONE annoys me the most. Because the colors are closest to how it appeared onscreen. Yeah, it can't be made in these colors. LEGO doesn't make those parts in dark green. This is, in my humble opinion, a crime. But I digress. I will take a moment to complain that the 3D model has that pretty red stripe RIGHT where the cannons are supposed to connect to the fuselage, which means that I can't just put alternating round plates there to perfectly replicate it, I have to instead put a full-sized brick there, and I can only represent the stripe with a red pin. Could I fix it? Probably. Did I? No. Will I? Maybe, I just want to kvetch about it.

I thought, when taking this on that there were only three A-Wings in Rebels. Then I thought to look up which one Hera flew in the show. Turns out? None of the above, and hers' is really neat looking! I wanted the dark gray to be more of a sand blue color, but LEGO part colors strike yet again. Also having to brick-build the slopes to get the detailing (since it's Hera's I had to put a bit more effort in) was annoying.
But why all of this? What does this have to do with the subject of trans clones? Well, the finale of the Bad Batch aired and showed us Omega leaving to join the Rebellion as a pilot. Which led to this awesome piece of fanart being posted:

I saw this cool picture on May 4th, left a like, and filed it away on my hard-drive with a whole bunch of other stuff. Then when I woke up this morning I was gripped by inspiration and HAD to make this:

So all of this, aside from the RZ-1 A-Wing all the way up at the top, has been the result of me having a MIGHTY NEED to make best girl Omega and her fighter as part of Phoenix squadron depicted in that fanart in LEGO form. I was, in fact, so gripped by this urge and launched so headlong into it that it's only as I type this that I realize Omega is flying an X-Wing in that picture. I never claimed to be smart.

Hey y'all. Getting straight to the point: I currently own a PC with an RX 6600 paired with a Ryzen 5 5600, 16gb ram (dual channel) and a 650w PSU.
I'm going to buy an RX 7800XT next month as an upgrade, and while I know it can start to bottleneck in some games with the Ryzen 5 5600, I can live with it until I can get a new CPU (most games I play aren't that CPU intensive anyway).
Question 1: Can I get that GPU without upgrading my PSU as well? I did some digging online and most answers are that a good 650w PSU can handle it just fine (I have one from Corsair, its the CX650F).
Question 2: When I *do* upgrade my CPU, I wanted to know if a Ryzen 7 5800X goes well with the 7800XT in terms of "not bottlenecking". Looking at a list of compatible CPUs for my motherboard (this one), it looks like the 7 5800X is the most budget friendly for me.
Question 3: Considering I don't need to upgrade my PSU for the GPU alone, is there any chance that I wouldn't either for the CPU upgrade? I know at this point I might be asking too much (lol), but I ran a test with Outer Vision's PSU calculator and it said this build would use around 522w (and I was generous with the usage time). This would also mean that I'd have over a 100 "watts to spare" for safety. I'm not super familiar with how PSUs work so forgive me if I'm just being stupid.
Question 4 (bonus, kinda): While the 7 5800X would be the most accessible for me, the very best CPU compatible with my motherboard (again, according to that list) is the Ryzen 9 5950X. I *could* wait a little longer to get it because after running a test with the PSU calculator, it looks like this CPU requires the same wattage as the 5800X. So... Should I?
Thanks in advance. My motherboard is the Aorus B550M Elite, by the way. Rest of the relevant specs were listed above. Also, feel free to give me any general recommendations about my future CPU upgrade. Like, if there's a better choice than any of thes I mentioned, I would love to know.

* Always use PayPal/Venmo G&S when buying from someone with under 15 flair on the sub. A scammer will give a BS reason why they can't accept G&S. Anyone with under 15 flair MUST accept G&S as a form of payment according to the rules of the sub. This rule is non-negotiable. If they will not, please report them to the mods.
* Ask a potential seller to comment on your post. This proves that they are not banned from the sub. That doesn't always mean they are a scammer though. It could just mean that they do not meet the sub requirements to become an approved member. They still need to accept G&S though. Check the banned list and vet the seller through their profile.
* Ask for specific timestamped pictures. A "timestamp" is a picture a seller takes with a handwritten note including their username and date next to the item they are selling. Ask for this with "odd" requests such as a picture of the bottle on its side or with the cap off, etc. If they are not willing to provide that then avoid the transaction and report them to the mods. Scammers are becoming crafty and often try and photoshop the timestamp in with a picture they found on google. Be aware and inspect timestamps closely for evidence of photoshopping. Look for blurred edges of paper, shadows not matching up with others in the picture, etc. If you are in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us with the picture.
* "Sellers" who start the conversation off with "WTS (insert frag you're looking for)" are 99.99% most likely a scammer. Scammers will always give you a great deal, or ask you to name your price. Any "seller" who is willing to accept half payment upfront then the other half after delivery to avoid using G&S is most likely a scammer. If it seems to good to be true or fishy, it most likely is.

Apologies for the long post but I'm pretty much over medical personnel at the moment and I'm frustrated. I've had a severe cough that began in December. I've had it at least once a month since then. By severe I mean I have random coughing fits that result in me either urinating on myself or vomiting on myself. Lately it's been both. Seems to be brought on by the slightest cold. I have a daughter in daycare so while illness is not uncommon, this is a bit extreme. It's normally coupled with a sinus infection.
I went to urgent care in December and was told to ride it out and given an updated inhaler script. I eventually got better.
It came back in February and to urgent care I went again. My primary has retired and I didn't have another lined up so Urgent Care seemed an ok choic. Left with a script for promethazine. Nearly finished the bottle before I got better.
It came back in March to which I called my doctor's office and got the first available doctor for a consult since I knew urgent care wasn't gonna do anything for me. We spoke over the phone and he said I likey had pertussis so he prescribed a steroid and antibiotic. Worked within a day. I was much better instantly so I finished the round and figured we were good to go.
April was a let down as the cough returned. I quickly emailed the doctor and requested the same treatment. I had refills for the steroid so I just refilled but I needed him to prescribe the antibiotic. He refused. He said he can't prescribe it when the symptoms haven't been present that long. Uhm, what do you mean?! You knew my history already? He repeatedly told me there was nothing we could do, that I could try the steroid alone but it probably wouldn't do anything. I told him I refused to believe that there was nothing we could do and there had to be something, especially considering the antibiotic worked so quickly last time. He REFUSED to assist further and suggested if my symptoms were that bad to go to the ER for a chest X-ray. Fine.
Went to the ER and got a chest X-ray. Was there for literally 1.5 hours and walked away with a $2500 bill, a clear X-ray and a script for Tessalon Perles, a recommendation for Mucinex D, and oh look, the SAME ANTIBIOTICS I ASKED THE PRIMARY FOR, WHO SAID HE COULDN'T GIVE THEM TO ME. They knew my script history and had zero problem giving me the antibiotic. The ER doctor even laughed when I told him the primary said I had pertussis. His diagnosis- bronchitis. Told me to follow up with said doctor. No thank you.
The cocktail of antibiotics, Mucinex D and Tessalon Perles seemed to do the trick. For a while.
It's now May and the cough is back full force and more violent than ever. But instead of multiple coughing fits throughout the day, I get a few really violent ones with both vomiting and peeing. So I got that going for me, which is nice.
I called a pulmonologist today to get an appointment. I figured I'd start there. When the medical assistant asked me why I'm seeing the doctor, I ran down a TLDR of the above and was so very delighted to hear her response of, “So a cough?” Yeah girl. Put down a cough. I corrected her- “A severe cough.” I doubt she added the adjective. The next available isn't for 2 months.
So here I sit, being asked to ride it out and ingesting a cocktail of Mucinex D and ibuprofen with a little snack of Tessalon Perles during bed time. I'm almost positive this is gonna cause some long term repercussions but I have a 1 year old, a husband and a job to think of today. I'm still blown away that when I brought this up to the primary, that he's telling me there nothing he can do when I'm telling him I get random coughing fits in the car while driving my toddler around, I get a “Sorry. Try the ER.”
As you can probably tell, I'm at a loss on what to do. When I think my cocktail is working, I'm reminded it's not. Any suggestions other than, see a pulmonologist, would be greatly appreciated. Any reassurance that the primary isn't a complete moron, also appreciated. I would hate to think that a doctor would be that careless for no reason.
TLDR: Intermittent (monthly) sever cough since December, accompanied by sinusitis, vomiting and incontinence. Antibiotics helps but Dr. won't prescribe more than one round. Currently taking Mucinex D, 400 ibuprofen and Tessalon Perles at night for sleep. Appt with pulmonologist in 2 months but what to do until then?

I couldn't forget even if you told me to. Those words. Those memories. I've ingrained them into my soul!!

So, I'm an RBT, and also a school paraprofessional for a student who's aggressive and says a lot of verbally inappropriate things. School and my agency knows I'm an RBT, and is hoping I apply behavior knowledge but knowing they can't officially ask me to use RBT or CPI procedures, but they can't get a school based para to stay with him who follows their training due to extreme risk. A lot of the kid's goals are of the verbiage, "will keep hands to himself...", "will not verbally aggress..." And I see the necessity of them, but also, if you visually compare to the behavior of the other kids, it's normal. I see kids all day faking throwing each other into doors WWE style, kids calling each other the N word with a hard r, even white kids, F slur on everyone, "roast battles", where kids degrade each other in ways I struggle not to find hilariously fitting of a Comedy Central roast. Most of his physicality starts by looking indistinguishable from his peers, usually an arm around the neck, or on a kid's shoulders, then after some sort of misunderstanding of a joke, or of his scripting taken as literal statement, he ends up punching a kid. He once was told "your hairline jacked." And replied "don't make me use the chaos emerald on you." (From Sonic?). Then he did a power up stance, and jumped on the other kid. My student doesn't seem to really grasp that other kids aren't scripting, and doesn't seem to grasp that he's saying things that we shouldn't say if we we're not scripting (ex.: "I'm going to obliterate you" from Dragon Ball Z, or performing an idle animation fighting stance from a game.) He's also still playing pretend with other neurodivergent friends while going onto 13 years old, like still pretending to get frozen. How do I shape behavior to be socially relevant when it's "physical but not too physical", "insult someone, but don't attack x,y,z." I'm of the personal belief that consent is golden, fight club rules at the extreme, but if you ask school officials, all the kids are wrong technically, but they can't afford the staff or energy to stop or punish them all. It would be inequitable to go harder on my student because he has a 1:1, but outside of an environment where he's known he's going to face repercussions. I also can't model the behavior for him. I've gone so far as dropping some swears "you can't hit kids just cuz they say dumb sh*t, it's gonna happen." And it's gotten some rapport out of him, but I can't model like: "Bish yo roots be the only part of you fatter than yo hippo a$$." -a quote I swear.

Received Condemnation Notice for a property that is not owned
Hello,
I'll try and organize these thoughts as best as I can, but it's a little messy
My father has been named in an ongoing city foreclosure case as an "interested party" for a property that he does not own. My father and I have both called the city several times, and checked using the city's website several times, and he is not an owner of the property and has never had the property transferred to him. The property was originally owned by my grandfather on my mother's side, who sold the house to my uncles on my mother's side. The two uncles have joint ownership of the property. One of the uncles died several years ago. The remaining lleft the property abandoned and refused to pay property taxes.
As a result, the city is trying to foreclose on the property. Last year, my father received court papers in the mail because he has a "potential interest" in the property. After talking to one of the court officials involved in the case, they stated that he's only named just in case he wants to speak up and purchase the property himself because he has a potential interest. Other potential interests involved are: Unknown Heirs of my mother, Unknown Heirs of my grandfather, Unknown Heirs of my deceased uncle.
The court explained that my father isn't responsible if he doesn't want the property. The only reason he's even named whatsoever is his name shows up in a chain of death certificates going from dead Uncle 1 with my mother listed as the name that registers the death certificate -> My mother's death certificate which has my father's name on it. Again, the court said not to worry about this.
Time goes on, we get updates on the case in the mail, nothing directly involving us because again, my father does NOT own the property and does not want it whatsoever.
More time goes on and today he receives in the mail a notice of code violations for the property and that is had been condemned. The paper from the city talks as if he's a buyer of the property and he has to do x y and z to rehabilitate it and make a plan, or pay for the demolition, but again, he's not an owner of the property and he isn't receiving the property at all. A thing to note is that this notice says "You are receiving the enclosed condemnation violation notice and demolition order because you have recently obtained title to this property or an interest in this property"

I double checked and he still does not have title to the property..the property still belongs to the uncles.
What do we do here? I'm gonna try and call the division of code enforcement for the city in the morning, but what's the deal here? Why is he dragged into all of this nonsense still? Is he likely going to be responsible or is it just an extension of the court case where he's gonna get this mail juuuuuuussssssstt in case he wants to use his "interest" and buy the property which he doesn't whatsoever

Hey there! Short disclaimer: English isn't my first language, errors may occur!
For context: I am currently in my first year of art school (comic department), and I wanted to hold a presentation about my all time favourite comic (which, as you may have guessed from the title, are the Sonic idw issues). Our teachers are pretty chill, the presentation is not mandatory, so I can have a little fun with it.
What I know: I have read pretty much (almost) all the sonic idw issues (I haven't read all spin-off mini series). I also read some issues from the archie comics! I looked up most of the artists and spend a few hours (I wish I was joking) starring at my favourite panels and analysing them. I have a basic understanding of how a comic is made (still a beginner tho).
The main point: I mainly want to talk about the process of how these comics are made. I know some basics, but I was wondering if there are any good articles or interviews you would recommend to check out. I also want to include some things from the archie comics and talk about the differences between the idw and archie comics (story writing, composition, inking, lettering, etc...). Even fun facts would be super helpful! At first I was planning to yap 2 hours about my favourite pages that have awesome inking, colouring and/or compositions. But I want this presentation to be atleast a little bit informative x'D

TLDR: Trying to find out how to have a bullet's speed be effected by player's momentum when firing. Using Godot 4 gd.
So making a spell casting top shooter for fun, one of the only projects I've had so far that I actually think I may finish. But I've had a consistent problems throughout with my projectiles that I can no longer just ignore. When the player is moving, with how I have the current velocity set up, the player's movement doesn't effect the bullet's when going right. This is kind of a problem since when the player is running they can actually run into the bullet while moving, especially the slower ones.
I'll include how I have the bullets set up, and how player movement works below with quick explanations, feel free to use these for your own stuff if you want... not that it's particularly good lmao.

^ The bullet is created and positioned at the 'hand' of the player, just where I have most the projectiles start at. Afterward, it's rotation is determined by the 'hand', which just spins around the player based off mouse position. Afterward, bullet goes vroom multiplied by the bullet speed and currently adding in the player velocity in. For whatever reason, this only really works in one direction

Hello. When I (19M) was in Elementary School, I became integrated into a friend group of about 6 girls (and now a handful of nonbinary people). At the time, I started developing chronically low self-esteem due to a brutal falling out with another group of friends who, as it turned out, never really liked me. Also at that point in time, and for many years afterwards, I was being emotionally abused at home by my narcissist father every day. As a result of all of this baggage, and some other less-important events not worth noting, I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. I have been in therapy weekly ever since I was 14, but haven't started receiving the benefits of therapy till this year due to spending a handful of months away from my abusive home.
It has been over a decade since I have first become acquainted with these friends, and until this year, I had never seriously asked myself if I liked these friends, or if I wanted to be friends of them. I silently developed the belief that I wasn't in control of any aspect of my life, including who my friends where. I also believed that "looking for better" was pointless, in my low-self-esteem I believed that I barely deserved this, much less anything better. So I accepted this situation and these friends dogmatically. I could go on about the psychology behind why I spent years accepting sub-par treatment, but I don't think it's necessary. I was a doormat and was spineless and for years I just accepted being treated like ass by people who were supposed to be my friends, is what you need to know. I'll elaborate more in comments if anyone is curious.
In therapy I learned to think critically about who I was letting enter my life, and for a while I came to the conclusion that they were evil, terrible people. After some more therapy, I've come to recognize that my friends aren't "bad" people. They too, just like me, come from their own complicated backstories of trauma and angst, and I am called to forgive them as I would forgive myself for their transgressions. However they can be quite disagreeable. Chief among these disagreeable friends are two I will call X (18F) and Y (19NB they/them). I will list out their vices here.
X - She's the unofficial "Leader" of the friend group and one of my "best" friends, for a time we considered each other family, and we've been very close. Unfortunately she's the one I'm actually the least optimistic about, for a couple of reasons, listed here. 1. She has a laundry list of vices most of which relate to what is probably an undiagnosed mental health condition and/or just general trauma not necessarily anything which warrants a diagnosis, this includes: A self-admitted lack of empathy, Fits of rage which are often disproportionate and unreasonable, Insecurity, Taking everything super personally This obsession with threatening to fight people over grudges/slights/etc in order to prove her dominance. Though I could look past all of this (especially as I can relate to the pain of being undiagnosed/unregulated), if not for the fact she has admitted to me that she does not plan on going to therapy to deal with any of this maladaptive behavior. 2. She always seems to want to fight me (verbally? but maybe also physically). It seems she tries her hardest to find any possible excuse to make me feel bad about myself, or to make me angry with her in order to start a fight. She's always picking apart what I say and trying to make me feel like an idiot. I've tried (and succeeded) in replicating this behavior back to her, which she always seems to be put-off by. It works in subduing her, but like fuck. She's my friend, I shouldn't be having to find excuses to roast her whenever I can to have a normal conversation with her. 3. A couple years ago, I pointed out point 2 to her, she felt personally attacked and went on several vents as to how she doesn't understand how to cope with high demands by others, etc. 4. Worse than all of that though, is the fact that, while I'm aware there's a possibility that she works through all of these issues, and comes out on the other side as a better person (even though I know almost for sure that she wont), Unfortunately I just really don't like her personality. I have a hard time seeing a point in airing these feelings to her, because all I can possibly gain is a slightly calmer friend with a personality I can't stand, and who i'm embarrassed to be around.
Y (19NB they/them). Unlike me and X, we share a lot more in common, and when they're calm, they can be very nice and refreshing to be around. They have BPD (self-dxd but I believe it), and we sometimes bond over that. Unfortunately they can be very destructive to be around. Mostly they just struggle a LOT with anger, over nothing too. They've raised their voice at me for really insignificant shit. Things like: Asking a question (I asked which character would be ideal to use for a game they were good at), Being gullible (I believed a dumb shitpost I saw online was true), or for being sort annoying (all the damn time). Similarly, they have admitted that they don't want to go to therapy/be better ("yet"). But I don't deserve to be treated like ass because i'm a little annoying.

Because with X, I know that I have unfortunately and unintentionally been leading her on this whole time to think we're better friends than we are, that I like her more than I do, and that I haven't always sort of found her a little despicable. I've unintentionally lied to her basically our whole friendship, and that's going to be really difficult for her, but I also know I have no other option, that our relationship is entirely unsalvageable. Whereas with Y, I would love to remain friends with them, and I haven't particularly been lying to them either, but their mental health complications are so severe it's difficult to not let it affect the friendship.
What I am asking for, is help on where to go from here. I have been ignoring and avoiding them as much as possible. I haven't been responding to DMS (which are already infrequent), I haven't been looking at the group chat, etc. But I'm not sure if ghosting is the appropriate thing to do here. I guess I sort of want advice on what response would be most appropriate in this situation...
