2024.05.21 16:44 TeaAndCozy Nocturne Alchemy Summer is coming this Friday! 4 reviews from last year's

Here's the news we've all been waiting for: "Summer '24 Limited arrives Friday May 24th @ 8 AM Pacific"!
For those less familiar with Nocturne Alchemy, this release will include a "Resurgence" of (most of) last year's Summer 2023 scents, as well as this year's new releases, which will themselves then Resurge next year. You can find the complete list of last year's Summer 2023 scents HERE, with the caveat that the Crystalline #s won't be returning since they already came back in a Thoth's Archive, and the Musks don't Resurge either.
One of the nice things about this Resurgence thing is that you can buy decants in the first year to see how you like them, then full-size them the following year. Arae Decantery, Crypta Obscura, and Ajevie all do Nocturne Alchemy decants. And for those scents that won't Resurge (like the seasonal Musks), collections are around for long enough that there's still generally time to try decants before FSing. With only rare exceptions - looking at you, Lait! - things don't typically sell out right away, and collections stay up for several months.
I thought it might be helpful if I shared my thoughts on the Summer 2023 scents I've tried. We'd all love to hear your own thoughts on these or any other Summer 2023 perfumes, if you have any reviews to share! Drop thoughts into a comment if you feel so moved, or even put up your own review post. It's always great fun to read reviews - and really helpful for making our wishlists, especially for newer folks who weren't around or who weren't paying attention to this house last summer, so all the Resurgence scents will be new to them.

Amber Cotton Candy & Honey Bee [Fossilized Amber accord, Bastet’s Amber absolute, Labdanum, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cedar Chips, Cotton Candy accord, Vanilla-sugar, Whipped Orange Blossom Honey accord, Languid Amber Cordial accord (rich PC Ozymandias amber absolute), French Vanilla, Caramel and Raspberry Essence] - I don't buy NAVA's Bees because their honey doesn't work on me - their orange blossom honey is quite cloying, sickly sweet, and a bit urinous on me. This was a freebie sniffie bottle from Ajevie, which I still tried because it's always fun to try new things, and because (having experienced the orange blossom honey before) I figured I could overlook the honey to evaluate the other notes. This amber definitely has a thick, syrupy quality to it - I get almost a whiff of their limestone accord - and it's heavy on the labdanum. The pink spun-sugar cotton candy note amps the already quite sweet honey note. I also, to my surprise, actually can make out a touch of tart juicy raspbery - but not any patchouli.
Peach Vanilla Crème Tea [Peach skin, Peach pit, Ripened Peach accord, Black Tea, Bastet’s Amber absolute, Vanilla Bean Cordial, and Vanilla-Sugar] - It's peach iced tea, sweet and refreshing, much like Poesie Peach Tiara [Peach iced tea, honeysuckle, sun warmed skin, and crisp white petticoats], but without the cotton note, and with both the black tea and the peach more assertive. This peach is a bit candy-ish (possibly that sweetness is amped by the vanilla sugar), and the tea is suprisingly cinnamon-y, which pairs beautifully with the peach and makes it more a transitional scent, summer into fall, than purely a hot-weather scent for me.

And on the off-chance that the Crystalline #s do return (with NA you never know for sure...)

Crystalline #10 [Toasted Coconut, Coconut Pulp, Caramelized Sugar, Tonka, Coconut Milk, Bastet’s Musk, eNVie saphir, Crystalline (Studio Limited Originals)] - Sweetened coconut. It's simple yet gorgeous. The sugary note helps it avoid sunscreen status, and there's something really light and refreshing about this one. Longevity is not great though.
Crystalline #11 [Sandalwood Milk accord, Santalum extract, Australian Sandalwood, Sandalwood Chips in Oudh blend, Golden Indian Sandalwood, Kobalt (Studio Limited Originals) Vanilla, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Red Sandalwood and Crystalline (Studio Limited Originals)] - A woodsy-creamy sandalwood and NAVA's lovely vanilla, this one recognizably a mix of Kobalt and Crystalline. It's difficult to say which of the sandalwood or vanilla are stronger because each of them seems the star on alternate sniffs! This is woodsier, more milky, and a little less addictive to my nose than Snowy Woolly [Vanilla essence, Indian Sandalwood, French Vanilla, Coconut Husk, Bastet’s Musk absolute and White Sandalwood], but it's a reasonable alternative if you're looking for the unctuous, gorgeous simplicity of vanilla + sandalwood. A touch of smoky oud comes out in the drydown, which is a welcome addition that makes this scent just a touch more complex.

2024.05.21 15:51 terryleewhite What's New in the May 2024 Lightroom Release?

What's New in the May 2024 Lightroom Release?
Hi everyone, Terry White from Adobe here, and I'm happy to share the news about today's Adobe Photography Release (May 2024). There are updates across the Lightroom Ecosystem to include Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom on Mobile, and Lightroom on Web.
Today, we are introducing a groundbreaking feature in Lightroom-Generative Remove, powered by Firefly. This innovative tool allows you to effortlessly eliminate distractions from your photos with a single brush stroke, all without the need to switch to Photoshop.
We've also improved Lens Blur (which was in Early Access), making it easier than ever to control the depth of field in your photos with professional results.

Easily remove distractions with Generative Remove (early access)

Available on Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for web, and Adobe Camera Raw
https://i.redd.it/axpim9fmas1d1.gif
With Generative Remove, powered by Firefly, you can easily remove unwanted objects and distractions, even on complex backgrounds, in just a few simple steps.
Distractions can ruin an otherwise great photo. Generative Remove allows you to quickly remove them with realistic, high-quality results.
Generative Remove uses Firefly technology to intelligently fill the photo behind removed items. The results on complex backgrounds are particularly impressive, like matching a detailed wallpaper pattern or the fabric on a plaid shirt. Lightroom will even give you a few variations to choose from so you'll have full creative control in picking the one you like best.
\Note that the previous "Heal" tool is now called "Remove." You'll find Generative Remove within the Remove tool, accessible via a toggle on Lightroom mobile or a check box on Lightroom for web, Lightroom Classic, and Lightroom.*
Generative Remove is powered by Firefly Image 1 Model and is available today as an early access feature to Lightroom paid plan subscribers across the Lightroom ecosystem via mobile, desktop, iPad, web and Classic.

Get a pro-quality background blur with AI-powered Lens Blur

Available on Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for web, and Adobe Camera Raw
https://i.redd.it/h43ibvxnas1d1.gif
Our improved Lens Blur uses the power of AI to map the foreground and background of your image to apply a pro-quality blur effect. Blur busy backgrounds to make your portraits pop, add a dramatic blur to nature photos to make the greenery stand out, or get a dreamy, blurred background from a sparkling city skyline at night.
With the interactive and flexible controls of Lens Blur, you can play around with the blur amount, change the shape of the light points or "bokeh," and customize the area you want to blur using the focus range tool.
This new release of Lens Blur includes better subject detection, the ability to create custom presets, and batch editing capabilities. Please note that the latter two features are coming soon to Android devices.

Get the perfect blur effect in a click with new Lens Blur Adaptive Presets

Available on Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom for mobile (iOS & Android), Lightroom for web, and Adobe Camera Raw
Today, we also introduce a set of brand-new adaptive presets for Lens Blur that use AI technology to apply a blur effect that's tailor-made to your photo. Presets are great for quickly finding the perfect blur look without having to dig into fine-tuned edits.
You can choose from seven Blur Background adaptive presets that change the shape and style of the blur in the background: Subtle, Strong, Circle, Bubble, Geometric, Ring, or Swirl.
After you pick a preset, you can adjust the strength of the blur with the amount slider or customize the effect further by using the Lens Blur tool controls.

What else is new in the latest Lightroom release

We've also made several updates across the Lightroom ecosystem that give you more creative control and flexibility when working on your photos and videos.
Enjoy Sony tethering support
Available in Lightroom Classic on the latest Sony digital cameras such as the Alpha 7 IV and Alpha 7R V – for a full list see here.
See your images on a big screen as soon as you click the camera shutter. We're expanding support for tethering by adding the latest Sony digital cameras so you can photograph directly into Lightroom Classic, saving precious time on your workflow. It's now even easier to review photo details, edit in real-time, and collaborate with on-set production teams and clients.
For a full list of all newly supported cameras in Lightroom see this page.
Easily move cloud files to your local drive
Available on Lightroom
At last year's Adobe MAX conference, we introduced local storage for Lightroom — the option to work with your photos and videos in Lightroom without having to import or sync them to the cloud.
With this release, it's now easier to move or archive your photos off the Lightroom Cloud and store them on your computer's internal drive, an external drive, or a local server. This is great when you want to free up space on the cloud, or for file management such as archiving past projects to a local drive.
You can select multiple files within an album, or an entire album to move to your local drive. Lightroom will ask what folder structure you'd like to use, so you can preserve the album structure locally as you move it off the cloud. This is especially useful if you have a high volume of photos and are working with numerous files at a time.
Edit videos with the Tone Curve
Available on Lightroom
You can now edit videos in Lightroom using Tone Curve. This graph-based tool enables you to fine-tune a video's brightness and contrast by simply dragging the curve control points up or down. For example, if a point on the tone curve is moved up, it becomes a lighter tone; if it is moved down, it becomes darker.
Create and play slideshows in Lightroom
Available on Lightroom
Lightroom now has a slideshow feature so you can display selected photos from your library in a slideshow format — a great way to share edits with clients, family, or friends.

Performance, reliability, and workflow enhancements to Lightroom Classic

We've also made the following improvements to Lightroom Classic, so that it performs smoothly and enables you to work more efficiently:
  • Improved cloud syncing: Images in your Lightroom Cloud will now more reliably match what you see in your Classic catalog and vice versa
  • Smoother image navigation in Develop: We've improved the responsiveness and navigation experience in Develop along with better caching
  • Optimized preview management: We have re-architected the way we generate and store previews, resulting in a much smoother experience
  • Filter by exported images: You can now filter for files by their export status and create a smart collection showing what's been exported
  • Search support for new metadata: We've introduced new capabilities to search and create smart collections by alt text, extended descriptions, and images edited with Remove or Point Color

Watch a Demo

I created a video showing off these features that you can watch here: https://youtu.be/0VP7vhIfdYE
We are also LIVE on Adobe Live starting at 9AM PT/12 Noon ET here: https://www.behance.net/live/videos/23345/From-Ordinary-to-Extraordinary-Live-Lightroom-Editing-with-Professional-Photographers

Try out the new features from today.

You can download the latest features and enhancements today on Lightroom for mobile from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Samsung Galaxy Store. Try the Lightroom app for free by going to the app store on your mobile phone.
Lightroom for web features are available at lightroom.adobe.com and no download is required. Lightroom for desktop can be downloaded via the Creative Cloud Desktop app. To learn more about these updates, check out the What's New pages for Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
Disclaimer: Generative Remove in Lightroom is available to all Creative Cloud members with a subscription or trial that includes Lightroom. Generative Remove is not available in China.

Our commitment to AI ethics and principles

Adobe is committed to developing AI in accordance with the company's AI Ethics principles of accountability, responsibility, and transparency. As AI becomes more prevalent in content creation, Adobe believes that it is important to provide consumers with transparency about its use in the creative process. A recent study from Adobe showed that 76% of U.S. consumers emphasized the importance of knowing if online content is generated using AI. When Generative Remove becomes generally available, Content Credentials will be automatically attached to photos edited with the feature in Lightroom. Like a "nutrition label" for digital content, Content Credentials are tamper-evident metadata that can provide important information about how content was created, modified and published.
Content Credentials are built on the C2PA open standard and supported by the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), which was founded in 2019 to increase trust in the digital ecosystem. Today, the CAI has grown into a global coalition of over 3,000 members across tech, policy, media companies, creative professionals, researchers and more, all working together to add transparency to digital content.
As always, let us know if you have any questions in the comments. Cheers! Happy Lightroom Day.

2024.05.21 14:14 DirectBusinessGroup A Guide to Business Energy Procurement

What is Energy Procurement?

Energy procurement is the process of researching and securing the best energy contract for your business's needs from a third-party energy supplier or local distribution company (LDC).
Although it may seem time-consuming and confusing, energy procurement and energy procurement strategy is crucial and could save your business thousands while increasing energy efficiency.

How Does Energy Procurement Work?

To procure energy, you need to analyse your gas and electricity usage and collaborate with brokers or suppliers to determine which contract or tariff is best for your needs. It can also involve assessing the type of supplier, sustainability targets, and energy types available.

Who Needs Energy Procurement?

Every business, regardless of size or industry, will benefit from an understanding of energy procurement. However, the size and type of business operations will dictate your strategy.
For example, the energy needs of a small retail store that operates from nine to five will differ significantly from those of a factory that runs machinery 24/7. To choose the right energy contract, energy type, and energy tariff, you need to determine your energy requirements and goals.
It is best to speak with a broker or consultant if you have any questions about what your specific business will need, and which is the best financial option.
"2021 was an awakening for most UK business owners, energy was usually a background activity, low on the priority list with little thought given. Heading into 2024, navigating the energy market has become a critical task for businesses, especially after the energy crisis led to a significant market shrinkage. This has made energy prices more volatile and unpredictable than ever. Mastering energy procurement is now essential not just for managing costs, but also for ensuring a reliable supply of energy. As the market continues to tighten, having a strategic approach allows businesses to secure energy at stable prices and embrace renewable sources smoothly, which is crucial for meeting new environmental regulations."
Reece Jensen - Senior Energy Consultant at Direct Business Solutions

How Do Businesses Procure Energy?

To get the best deal for your business energy needs, you should look for a supplier that offers competitive pricing and can meet your requirements. Typically, you can buy energy from one of the following parties:
Supplier: Private, wholesale, or retail energy companies can meet your business's energy demands, and they offer an alternative to utility company pricing.
Broker: Energy brokers and consultants will do the leg work for you. They work to find the best supplier, price, and deal for your specific needs.
Utility Company: Utility companies or LDCs are your default suppliers when you don't choose a supplier. They handle the supply and and distribution and charge a set rate for a fixed term or a market-based rate which can change each month.

Why is an Energy Procurement Strategy Important?

It is a simple principle, but there is more than meets the eye when it comes to energy procurement. For businesses, there are many benefits of energy procurement:
Cost Management: Energy bills can be one of the largest expenses for a business. Procuring energy from the right supplier means you’re guaranteed the most competitive rates, reducing energy costs and improving profitability.
Risk Mitigation: Energy markets can be volatile, with prices subject to fluctuations influenced by factors such as geopolitics, weather, and supply and demand. Procurement strategies can help mitigate these risks by locking in favourable rates through contracts or hedging strategies.
Sustainability Goals: Many businesses aim to reduce their carbon footprint and support renewable energy initiatives. Energy procurement allows organisations to source energy from renewable sources or invest in carbon offset programs to meet sustainability objectives.
Operational Continuity: Ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted energy supply is essential for business operations. Procurement activities help businesses plan for future energy needs, especially during times of expansion or relocation.

Types of Business Energy Procurement Contracts

There are various types of energy procurement contracts available for businesses. To make the best decision, it's important to understand the main options.
Fixed contracts
The contracts keep the energy unit cost or standing charge unchanged throughout the fixed term period, which can last from months to years. While they offer more security and prevent price hikes, you won't benefit from rate drops and fixed rates don't mean your bills will be the same every month.
Blend and Extend
The types of conteacts are slightly more complex. Your supplier will extend the contract's length to reduce the amount you're paying. The contract rates are blended with the current market rates, meaning you'll pay higher or lower depending on external influences.
You start with a fixed rate energy pricing, and when the contract is extended, you'll pay a new rate for that period, which helps to reduce energy bills and keep the rates steady until the contract ends. These contracts can be helpful for businesses struggling with high energy bills, but there's no guarantee your business will benefit from them.
The Flex Approach/Flexible energy procurement
These are more suitable for larger business operations. It involves buying energy in bulk at wholesale rates for months or years ahead. However, there's a risk of being caught out of contract when unit rates spike.
Pass-through
Pass-through tariffs swap between fixed, wholesale, unit rates, and other options to give the best deal while considering external factors like National Grid levels, Transmission Network Use of System (TnUoS), and more. They can be a good option for businesses that have a detailed understanding of their energy usage.
Renewable
Renewable energy contracts are the primary option for businesses seeking to meet sustainable energy goals. They involve purchasing renewable energy credits (RECs), which enable companies to offset their electricity consumption by buying the equivalent amount of electricity produced by renewable resources.

Advice For Generating an Energy Procurement Strategy

To effectively manage your business's energy consumption, you need to have a clear understanding of your energy needs. This includes how much energy you currently use and how much you are likely to use in the future. It's important to have an accurate prediction of your energy needs to avoid any unexpected bills.
When budgeting for energy expenses, it's important to be realistic about your costs. You should consider all energy options available to you, including different contracts and tariffs, and negotiate with various suppliers to ensure you get the best rates. Only agree to contracts that are affordable for your business.
Regular monitoring of your energy usage and spending can help you make changes to meet your energy goals. Whether your focus is on improving your carbon footprint or reducing costs, regular monitoring can help you identify opportunities to achieve your energy objectives.
Ask us any questions and we will help you out as much as possible.

2024.05.21 12:16 citygent1911 Struggling a bit!

Hi all, I've pretty much got there with a new site, BUT...
I created a simple "coming soon" webpage, for my website www.alexanderfdinancialsolutions.co.uk
I've now finished the design of the new website, but can't publish it. When I hit PUBLISH, I have to change the last prt of the site address to MAIN as HOME is what was used on the holding page. No big deal...
However, when I go into the ADMIN section to sort out the customer URL - I want the basic url to now point to MAIN - I get to the "Choose a custom URL from your verified domains", and when I put in the www bit, it says "Customer URL already taken".
Please can someone advise me how to get the customer URL to point to my new website?
Thanks!!

2024.05.21 12:13 Shot-Hotel Setting up a DPNI scheme/accountants offering DPNI schemes

I have been contracting for a company in the US for 2 years and paying taxes as a self employed individual, but I think under the UK definition I fit more under the employee label (I only work for them, I can't be replaced easily, etc). Because of that I have been looking at ways to rectify this from EORs (Too expensive and complicated for the company as I am the only international employee), to a DPNI scheme. I think the DPNI scheme is more manageable, but I am unsure how to start. A couple of questions I have:

2024.05.21 11:07 lanter67 Ludwig’s ball guide…

After Luds comment on his last stream I did a quick Reddit search and found this post from 9yrs ago in sex by U/LudwigAhgren
Note: It was a funny read and definitely in his charming grammar style.
Note 2: Some of things do not work anymore but, a few still do.
“The Ultimate Guide to Shaving Your Pubes for Beginners (Men)
If you have a bush like Brillo© , or just want to trim up the forrest so others can pass safely, you're in the right place.
I split groin hair into 5 different groups. Below I have listed the difficulty of each area as well as what kind of shave each area shall receive.
This is what we want the end product to look like. (His pubes look like the mustache of almighty Zeus himself!)
Pubic Hair Ball Hair Taint/Gooch Hair High Thigh Hair Shaft Hair
Easiest to shave. Needs to be trimmed down (No new-born baby penis look) Scariest/Most Difficult to shave. This will be a clean shave. Moderate difficulty. Up to shaver, but I prefer a clean shave. Easy to shave. This will be a clean shave. Nicks can happen here easily. This will be a clean shave.
Tools Needed: Shaving cream (MUST - Practice before which shaving cream works best! Sometimes Conditioner can work better),
electric razor (The side that pops out I will refer to as buzzer and the side with the guard I will refer to as electric razor from here on out)
A Women’s! shaving razor (women’s razors have a much higher guard and will protect better than one for men.

*PLEASE BE PREPARED!* I mean it’s your balls we’re talking about here…

Step 1: The first step will be to shave the pubic hair. Depending on how much hair is down there, you have the option to go at it with scissors like a harbor before throwing the buzzer down there. If you have an average amount (2”>x) then go at it with the buzzer. Hover your family jewels over the toilet, you may even choose to sit like a cool substitute teacher. Brush the square side of the buzzer backwards across your pubes vertically. It may seem as if it isn’t doing anything but trust me you’re losing hair faster than LeBraun James. Continue this until you deem it short enough, I like my pubes around 1/2”.
Note Make sure the pubes length is even throughout, focusing on areas that with longer hair to insure optimum symmetry, bitches love symmetry. Use a mirror!

Step 2: Now you’ll want to ‘square’ out your hair and completely shave off any outliers around your pubes. Perhaps you have a leaky happy trail? Or maybe your pubes are ‘fading’ in. Either way you’ll want this instead of this (not penis don’t fret) Use a mirror to make sure it’s not lopsided.

Step 3: Here we are going to tackle that upper thigh hair that encompasses the whole male crotch area. Now get all nakey if you aren’t already and hop in that shower. Make sure the water is warm because you’re going to be in there for a while. Whip out you’re shaving cream of choice, I use this because it makes the blade glide across my nuts (phrase of the day!). To be fair I am more metrosexual than most gay men. Anyway(!) lather that shaving cream on to you’re upper thigh, above the pubes and right around the taint (make sure the water isn’t washing it all away) and start shaving those areas. The shaving razor will insure that these areas are hair-free.
Note Make sure the blade follows the surface of the skin. You want max blade to skin contact.

Step 4: Here’s my favorite part. Shaving the shaft. Why is it my favorite? It adds an inch to your perceived dick length (now your dick will look like it’s an inch longrekt. Extend your dick by pulling out your head. It will give a similar surface on the base of the dick to an erect penis. Now with the shaving cream and razor, shave the front part of the base, while always making sure the base is flat. Then do each side, trying your best to make the area being shaved flat. A flat area not only allows the razor to get more hair, it also prevents little nicks that can occur. I’ll refer back to Davidfor how far down the base you should shave.
Note If you look at the pic of David, you’ll notice he shaved the area to the right and left of his penis. That is totally you’re call, I have no opinion I find both to by stylish in their own penis way.

Step 5: The balls. AKA Holyshitiamsoscarediamgoingtochopmynutsoff. You may be tempted to skip this part, but trust me, hairy balls do not look good when the rest has been shaved. If you start this, you must to finish it. You are the chosen one. You are supposed to bring balance to your pubes, not leave them in darkness! Do it for the (potential) children.
Back to the balls. We’re going to first start with the outside balls. To do this get in your best captain stance which creates a nice U shape between your thigh and outer left/right ball. This is the kind of U Brett Farve has been talking about. Now, using that handy shaving cream and razor, this should be quite easy. Gently go up that are and always going along the grain. Don’t switch up directions here, that’s too ballsy.
After that’s done we’re going to drift away from the pubes for just a bit. Throw some shaving cream on the taint (this is the area that prevents you from shitting on your balls) and you’ll want to shave from your asshole to the base of your balls. Always going in that direction. IMPORTANT If you touch your taint (ew you’re gross) you’ll notice there is a line. Kind of feels like hair running from your asshole to your balls. It’s actually a vein that controls your orgasms. DO NOT SHAVE ON THIS VEIN Shave to the left and right of it. Don’t go directly on it. I don’t think anything will happen if you do… but better safe than orgasmless.

Step 6: Back to the balls and the last part of the shaving in the shower. This part is difficult and to be honest I’m not sure of the best way to approach this. Balls are weird and that they have no fucking shape and 2 million wrinkles. I like to first take my electric razor and use the buzzer part of it. Then I just air swipe my balls getting all the hair about 1/4” short. Then I take the shaving cream and focus on specific parts squeezing my balls to get maximum surface area. This seems to work out for me, but keeping it 1/4 of an inch isn’t that big of a deal. Hair that short is difficult to notice and ladies/men will still suck your nuts.
Note Loosen up before shaving your balls. Take deep breaths and relax. Make sure your asshole isn’t clenched because that raises your balls. And if you’re down there shaving with a clenched asshole, and for any reason your asshole unclenches, you’re balls will drop (again) and hell will break loose. It is better to shave them while they are low and have them clench upwards.

Step 7: Clean up all the pubes off of your body. This is no simple task. Water is an adhesive so you’ll have to detach the shower head and put that all up in your business. I like to turn on the bath and use that heavy rush of water to cleanse my body of those clingy cutoff pubes. Hop out the shower, dry off and look at your masterpiece Michelangelo. But you are not done yet!

Step 8: Similar to barbers, you will have missed a few hair and you’ll probably have a few 2 inch hairs amongst you’re gently coiffed pubes. Grab a pair of nail scissors or whatever tool you prefer and chop those suckers off. The majority will be on your balls. A fun thing I like to do that is totally fucking weird, is pulling long pubes on my balls and plucking them off. It is surprisingly easy to do so because of the loose ball skin. Don’t yank it out like a band-aid though or you’ll need a band-aid (Ha Ha.. I’m not funny)

Voila, you’re done. Get some aftershave on those freshly shaven balls to disinfect your nicks and make those meaty knockers smell like a man. Congratulations and I hope I was of some help!

Edit 1: Let't talk about asshole hair, (what a great conversation startfuriouslyjotsdown) that area can be shaved and it can look/feel good! But personally, I like to keep my Brown Eye of Sauron to myself. No traveller has dared venture down so I feel no need to shave.
Edit 2: One of my ball shaving colleagues has alerted me that the 'taint vein' is actually, "[A] scar, from where the skin fuses before birth and is called the perineal raphe." (Google it for some nice visuals)

Thank you all for the great response! Being on the front page of sex is something all my future employers will be impressed by. I recently shaved and I seriously mistook my junk for King David's jewels (obviously he is miles bigger) and I thought I'd right down exactly what I did.”

Looking around at best options for an X-T5 and lens, I'm an amateur, I don't really go abroad but may do, I'd like to have theft, loss and mechanical breakdown covered.
What are some folks experiences with Eversure or Photoguard? Has it been simple to claim or are there better options?

Few games in recent times have been able to do what Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 has done: make me feel so engaged and immersed that I wish the feeling would never stop. It is a game that will keep you in constant awe throughout the playtime with its fantastic and mysterious story, incredible graphic and sound presentation and realistic and brutal combat that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II won’t be for everyone. But if you are looking for a brutal continuation of a fantastic story that feels like you’re actually playing a movie, you’ll have a great time here.

If you expect an immersive but not so interactive “game”, Senua’s Saga Hellblade II delivers a short yet intense experience. Ninja Theory has once again skillfully created an impressive atmosphere, as they did in Senua’s Sacrifice. Unfortunately, the issues remain as well: Puzzles and combat are too easy and there is no variety in either. So please keep in mind, that this is more a Hellblade 1.5 than a true sequel.
Checkpoint Gaming - Charlie Kelly - 10 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is well worth the wait and is a serious game of the year contender. Senua's follow-up journey is the best exploration of mental health that we've seen in games to date, using incredibly striking visual imagery, metaphors and immersive soundscapes to have you feel right there next to her. In what has to be the most photo-realistic game of all time, you're guaranteed to be constantly taken by the hero's adventure as you take in the beautiful and often haunting Viking Iceland. Through mud and dirt, blood and bones, Senua and Ninja Theory in turn bare all to you, the player. A masterpiece, benchmark and magnum opus, Hellblade II is crucial storytelling you won't soon forget.

With Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, Ninja Theory shows that video games can be more than simple entertainment: they can be profound artistic and emotional explorations, capable of touching and transforming those who play them. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is yet another arresting, artful chapter in an adventure now two games long. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is, at its core, a short game, but an excellent one. But it's not for everyone. It's a bloody and often disgusting experience based on strong emotions and immersion in a character that just won't let you go. It's more of an artistic experience than a traditional game.

Spaziogames - Gianluca Arena - Italian - 7.6 / 10
Senua's Saga is as strong as its predecessor, if not more, and delivers both in its storytelling and on the technical side. The gameplay, however, has still a lot of room for improvements and boils down to almost-QTE combat and boring puzzles. An experience more than an actual and so-called video game, but an experience worth living nonetheless.
Stevivor - Jay Ball - 9.5 / 10
Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is a video game only on its surface. Scratch that away and you’ll see that it’s a deep, thought-provoking, interactive experience proving games are an art form that demands skill and talent. Ninja Theory should be very proud.

Just like its forbear, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is an oppressive, powerful and haunting example of the power of video games, and one that sets its own parameters for what a digital experience can be. It is a game that must be experienced, not least because, there’s nothing else quite like it.
Tom's Hardware Italia - Andrea Riviera - Italian - 10 / 10
What Ninja Theory has achieved transcends reality, creating a work that is practically perfect for what it aimed to be: an audiovisual adventure with a strong narrative component. Beyond state-of-the-art graphics and sound that will undoubtedly set a standard in the coming years, what truly astonishes is the maturity with which the team has taken an excellent game like the first Hellblade and molded it into something so qualitatively impressive that it becomes difficult to even describe. This elevates the medium to a new communicative level, capable of evoking emotions and surprising players from start to finish. Experiences like Hellblade 2, which leave a lasting impression on the soul, are few and far between in a generation, and we can only rejoice in seeing how the beautiful artistic vision of the Ninja Theory team has become a reality.
Too Much Gaming - Carlos Hernandez - 5 / 5
Hellblade 2 feels like a living, breathing shapeshifter, manipulating its surroundings around the player with precision and consistency, making it one of the most visually stunning video games of this generation. This is an amazing title that carefully balances its artistic and gaming ambitions, a masterpiece that I encourage any gamer to experience.
TrueAchievements - Sean Carey - 9 / 10
Ninja Theory has created an outstanding sequel with Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. An unforgettable narrative adventure that is brought to life through impeccable sound design, fantastic visuals, and a story that will stick with you long after the final credits roll. Hellblade 2 is one of the best games Xbox has to offer.
TrueGaming - عمر العمودي - Arabic - 8 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a technical achievement for the gaming industry, the visuals are impressive and realistic in a way we haven't seen before and the audio design is very impressive. The game itself though, we think it could've offered more as puzzles are repetitive and combat is quite limited. However, the storytelling is strong in this chapter of Senua's journey, though it feels heavy and depressing.
VideoGamer - Tom Bardwell - 9 / 10
Though uncomfortably bleak and distressing, Helldivers 2 is something truly special.
WellPlayed - James Wood - 6 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is an achievement in visual fidelity but fails to define itself amid clumsy retreads and unengaging new ideas.
Worth Playing - Chris "Atom" DeAngelus - 7 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is a beautiful but ultimately hollow game. The fantastic presentation props up a story that is less personal and engaging than in the first game, and the gameplay feels like an afterthought. It was great to see Senua again and to see her outside of the grief-misery she was enveloped in during the first game, but beyond that, there's not much to Hellblade II. It's a short and less memorable experience that shows off Ninja Theory's visual craft to its fullest - but it achieves little else.
Xbox Achievements - Dan Webb - 90%
While Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 might not set any new standards with its simplistic gameplay mechanics, from an audio-visual experience standpoint, it's frankly quite a stunning experience. Hellblade 2 is as close to playing the leading role in a big budget movie as you’re likely to get, and Ninja Theory’s continued coverage on the complexities of severe mental health issues deserves to be commended once more. Bravo, Ninja Theory. Bravo.
XboxEra - Jon Clarke - 10 / 10
Despite the backing of a company as large and as well-funded as Microsoft, Ninja Theory have, in my opinion, nurtured their independent spirit and kept it well and truly alive in every facet of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II. It's brutal. It's breath-taking. It's brilliant. If this is “Independent AAA”?
Sign me up for more.
ZdobywcyGier.eu - Bartosz Michalik - Polish - 9.5 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is undoubtedly one of the best games of this year. Not only does it shine in terms of audio-visual setting, but also in terms of story. The only element that could be considered caveat is at the same time its greatest asset, namely cinematography. Sometimes one gets the impression that the developers, in an effort to achieve the best possible effect, had to make a lot of compromises, which significantly limited the gameplay possibilities. Nevertheless, for a great narrative and immersion, this is something to turn a blind eye to.

Where the first game felt like a journey of self-discovery, both for Senua and for the player, Hellblade 2 feels more invested in creating the myth of Senua: Senua as legendary giant slayer, as mystical seer touched by the underworld.
Press Start - Brodie Gibbons - 9 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is yet another arresting, artful chapter in an adventure now two games long. Though it might approach iteration with a very safe hand, only going so far as to correct the original's shortcomings, Ninja Theory's clear strengths in story craft, audiovisual design, as well as their care for the dark subject matter manage to shine through brighter than ever before.
Rectify Gaming - Tyler Nienburg - 10 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II emerges as a visual and storytelling masterpiece, and is unquestionably the best-looking game I've witnessed on Xbox Series X since its launch.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Rick Lane - Unscored
A more uncompromising version of the first game, Hellblade 2 offers a well told story and immaculate presentation. But it's also even simpler, to the point where it treats interaction like an inconvenience.
SECTOR.sk - Matúš Štrba - Slovak - 9.5 / 10
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is, at its core, a short game, but an excellent one. But it's not for everyone. It's a bloody and often disgusting experience based on strong emotions and immersion in a character that just won't let you go. It's more of an artistic experience than a traditional game.
Saudi Gamer - Arabic - 10 / 10
An exceptionally well realized portrayal of Senua's struggle both real and praying on her fears, with brutal and satisfying combat and puzzles that require you to appreciate the world. It successfully continues what the first game started and improves upon almost every aspect.
Seasoned Gaming - Ainsley Bowden - 9 / 10
Senua's Saga is a journey unlike any other. It's fantastical, evocative, and demonstrative of Ninja Theory being masters of their craft.
Shacknews - TJ Denzer - 9 / 10
Hellblade 2 still does incredibly well. The new story is weighty, the audio is exceptional, the scenery is ridiculously dense and rich, and the combat feels intense and impactful in new and interesting ways.
Slant Magazine - Justin Clark - 3.5 / 5
The newest chapter in Senua’s story is powerfully told but feels like it’s missing a few pages.
TechRaptor - Robert Scarpinito - 7.5 / 10
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II features intense audio, beautiful graphics, and wonderful camera work, creating a powerful presentation that’s worth experiencing. However, the narrative doesn’t quite stick the landing.
The Escapist - Unscored

The Outerhaven Productions - Jordan Andow - 5 / 5
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II sets a new bar for performances and presentation. Combined with smart improvements to gameplay, it is arguably the most cinematic, immersive, story-driven experience we’ve ever seen.
TheSixthAxis - Dominic Leighton - Unscored

My Experience with writemate.co.uk: Insights and Impressions
WriteMate, a paper writing service that caters to the needs of UK students at different levels and English capabilities, has recently been widely discussed on various platforms and forums as yet another reliable option for academic help. After doing my own research and reading tons of different (and sometimes even dubious) reviews, I decided to give it a try and share my unbiased experience with it. I received my research proposal a few days ago, and you can now check how it all went and the result it brought 👇
First encounter:
https://preview.redd.it/ct0a94yh4q1d1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc5f4193995d4bce5c032016f1264da5a350f266
When I first opened the website, I was intrigued by its simplistic design, user-friendly interface and a vast array of disciplines and services available, ranging from editing, formsttign to essay writing, dissertations and even powerpoint presentations. One more argument for trying this site was their reassuring guarantees and the way they promise to ensure the highest quality:
https://preview.redd.it/9yllsmvk4q1d1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=fe19a8d8f469b8918cf81f60878b34a05346214d
https://preview.redd.it/jko1j2cm4q1d1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=55d7a8bdb3fea9783c9a60d9a584c094141b5a01
Another feature that caught my eye was the absence of the good old order form. Instead, you are offered to contact the support manager and discuss all the details of the assignment with them through whatsapp or messenger. I went with the first option, just in case.
At first, I thought it would be another chatbot bot, but to my surprise, I was connected to a real human, Romeo, who answered my questions, reviewed my instructions, provided me with a quote and a nice welcome discount, found an expert for the task and placed the order for me. Next, I was given a payment link to finalise the order and imagine, that was it!
Order placement:
The ordering process was so quick and Romeo was so friendly and professional that my heart felt at ease. IDK why but I felt I was in good hands.
Here’s what the order process looked like:
https://preview.redd.it/74bpt8vq4q1d1.png?width=4954&format=png&auto=webp&s=32474efe17e1e66adb87537deee6c3a158d64023
Personal dashboard:
I opened my email and there was already an email with login details waiting for me in my inbox, not at spam folder as with most of writing services. I clicked the link, changed the password as confidentiality is paramount for me and decided to explore the dashboard.
It was simple and very intuitive. When you open this dashboard, first thing you see is your order number and details button. When you click on it, you get to see all the order details on the left and a chat window on the right. There’s even the possibility to modify details.
Having reviewed all features and possibilities of this dashboard, I decided to say ‘hi’ to my writer. Btw, through that chat you can also contact the support agent. I found this very convenient as you don’t needs to look for the website again or chats in messenger. You can even continue chatting through whatsapp if you have a quick question and don’t have time for logging in.
So, getting back to the writer, it took them around 5 minutes to reply to my message. I asked them a few questions to make sure we’re on the same page and decided to get to another paper due.
Delivery:
In approximately 10 hours, I received a new email from write mate stating that my paper is ready. It was unexpected as I was only waiting for it in two more hours. But that was even better for me as it gave me more time to review the work.
Paper quality:
Although I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure if I should use this writing service instead of another more expensive option I’ve used for the past few years, this service exceeded my expectations. The proposal was clear and coherent and contained well-defined research objectives, a comprehensive methodology and anticipated outcomes that were meticulously outlined. The structure and references were also done as instructed. Sources were real and relevant. There were a few misplaced commas but grammar and UK spelling were consistent. Even a detailed timeline for the research process was there!
The writed demonstrated a thorough understanding of the subject and clearly put in a lot of work to produce a quality paper from scratch. I used a few plagiarism and AI detection tools to check the work, but the content remained within the allowed thresholds. The managers also added a complimantary plagiarism report to assure me that the proposal was entirely original – they had a promotion or somethng. Oh, and the title and reference pages also came for free. An unexpected but pleasant addition, isn’t it?
Overall impression:
Considering my experience, I should admit that all those positive (sometines even overly positive) reviews regarding this writing service turned out to be real.
Btw, here they are:
https://preview.redd.it/jloc707y4q1d1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=6cf4ef77196c3e847db9e105ccdf9004fc15ae5e
https://preview.redd.it/13d5kqcz4q1d1.png?width=1182&format=png&auto=webp&s=2a81313f5a90b13d6b7bb8d6125b95c6ac763cd2
I can confidently say that this is one of the best services I’ve used over the past years. Their quality of writing, prices and customer support are truly unbeatable. If you’re looking for a reliable research proposal writing service, you can confidently onsider this option. Maybe it will also relieve some of your academic stress as it did for me 😇

2024.05.21 08:18 aslanproperty The Role of Smart Technology in Modern Kitchen Extensions

In recent years, the integration of intelligent technology into home design has revolutionized the way we live, bringing convenience, efficiency, and innovation into our daily routines. Nowhere is this more evident than in the kitchen, a space that has evolved from a mere cooking area to the heart of the home. For homeowners considering a kitchen extension, incorporating innovative technology can enhance both functionality and enjoyment. This article explores the key roles that innovative technology plays in property development and modern kitchen extensions, from enhancing cooking experiences to improving energy efficiency.

Enhanced Cooking Experiences

Smart technology has significantly transformed cooking and food preparation. Modern kitchen extensions can now include intelligent ovens, which offer features such as recipe suggestions, automatic temperature adjustments, and remote control via smartphone apps. These ovens can be preheated on your way home from work, ensuring your dinner starts cooking the moment you walk in the door. Additionally, smart refrigerators equipped with internal cameras allow you to check your inventory while grocery shopping, ensuring you never forget an item.
Smart kitchen appliances also contribute to healthier eating habits. For instance, intelligent scales and nutrition trackers can provide detailed nutritional information, helping you make informed choices about your diet. Connected coffee makers and instant pots can be programmed to start brewing or cooking at specific times, adding a level of convenience that traditional appliances can't match.

Improved Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is a critical concern for modern homeowners, and intelligent technology offers numerous solutions. Smart kitchen appliances are designed to consume less energy and water compared to their traditional counterparts. For example, intelligent dishwashers can determine the optimal wash cycle based on the load, reducing water and energy consumption.
Lighting is another area where innovative technology shines. Intelligent lighting systems, such as LED lights with motion sensors or timers, ensure that lights are only on when needed, cutting down on unnecessary energy use. These systems can also be controlled remotely, allowing homeowners to adjust lighting settings from anywhere, contributing to both security and energy savings.

Increased Safety and Security

Innovative technology enhances kitchen safety by offering features like automatic shut-off for ovens and stoves, which can prevent accidents and potential fire hazards. Bright smoke and carbon monoxide detectors provide real-time alerts to your smartphone, ensuring that you are immediately informed of any potential dangers.
Moreover, intelligent kitchen systems can include water leak detectors that alert you to potential flooding or leaks, helping to prevent water damage. These detectors can be handy in kitchen extensions, where new plumbing installations might be more susceptible to leaks.

Seamless Integration and Convenience

The convenience offered by innovative technology is its most appealing feature. Voice-activated assistants, such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, can be integrated into the kitchen to control appliances and lights and even order groceries with simple voice commands. This hands-free operation is beneficial when your hands are full or dirty from cooking.
Smart home hubs can also create a seamless integration of all smart devices, allowing you to control everything from a single interface. This level of control simplifies the management of your kitchen and enhances the overall user experience.

Conclusion

Incorporating innovative technology into modern kitchen extensions is no longer a futuristic concept but a practical reality that offers numerous benefits. From enhancing cooking experiences and improving energy efficiency to increasing safety and providing unparalleled convenience, innovative technology plays a pivotal role in the evolution of the kitchen. As homeowners continue to seek ways to make their living spaces more functional and enjoyable, the integration of intelligent technology in kitchen extensions will undoubtedly remain a key trend. Embracing these innovations not only adds value to your home but also transforms your kitchen into an innovative, efficient, and delightful space.
If you're interested in learning more about how innovative technology can enhance your kitchen extension, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

2024.05.21 08:04 majkkali Question about bringing my girlfriend to live and work in the UK

Hi guys. I’ll cut to the chase - I’ve been living in the UK for almost 10 years now. I have dual citizenship (British and Polish). Got a job here which I really like. I also have a girlfriend in Poland and I would like to bring her to live with me in the UK. How do I do that? Would she need to find a job that sponsors her visa? Does she even need a visa? Her English is mediocre so I don’t know if that’s important or not but she’s actively trying to improve it. How does the whole process look like after Brexit? I know before Brexit it was very simple but no idea how to go about it now. Can I help her in any way? Does it matter that I have a British passport? Many thanks.

2024.05.20 22:56 jwilliams55555 Moving away from financial advisor

Hi bogleheads,
I have recently taken an interest in low fee investing (set and forget) and have read various books, including the Bogleheads guide to investing.
Initially, I wanted to have a look at my parents portfolio. My dad (late 70s) and my mum (late 60s) have a financial advisor who invests on their behalf. I asked my dad to send me his investment report pack and it outlined the following for the last twelve months
Total invested: £195k Total gain £7.4k Money taken out of plan £12k (e.g withdrawn by my parents) Total charges £2.1k
To my mind the fees are 1.11% (assuming £12k is extracted half way through year). This seems high and it’d make sense for me to do a simple three fund portfolio. Firstly, does this make sense? If so, what three funds and mix (equity vs bonds) would you recommend given my parents age profile?

2024.05.20 22:16 KeyDepth8469 Girlfriend considering breaking up because I might not be able provide for our future family

Mostly it’s a rant but I’m asking advice also.
My girlfriend and I have been together 2 years. I recently applied for disability benefit for ASD and to my surprise I was actually awarded the full amount, meaning I both have enough money to live and don’t have to seek work.
This is great news obviously but the main drawback is that I won’t be able to live with my girlfriend without losing most of my benefits, as 55% of her income is taken off of my benefit.
I will always have PIP which is a disability benefit which is measured irrespective of income. This is around £550/month.
I’m pretty sure I could work part time. I’ve told her that I’m pretty sure I can work part time. I’ve helped to specify to her the minimum income I would make individually as someone who could probably work 20 hours a week, which is around £1,400/month. This includes PIP and does not include her wage.
So why be so stressed about this? That seems like enough to me. But out of nowhere she tells me she’s worried about the future, and obviously thinks I will never even try to work. The reason I am not working now is because I am in university. Even then I am bored and depressed with the lack of work, but it’s too much at once. But now we are going a week without talking to ‘clear our thoughts’, then we’re meeting up at the end if the week to discuss whether we should stay together.
I’m sick of being assumed to just not want to work. Even if it was a simple misunderstanding that would be one thing, but I have told her that I want to work and am just not in the right place in life now.
She obviously doesn’t believe me. I don’t know what else I can say besides what I have already said - ‘I will get a part time job when I have finished my degree’.
I guess this is the advice part - I do not feel like she is the right person for me anymore, but I really don’t have anyone else. My mum died about 6 months into my relationship with my girlfriend, and I really don’t have much else in the way of family in the country where I live now (UK). My family is back in my home country (not safe for me) and I don’t have any friends. I don’t even really want to have friends because in the past it has just made me unhappy. I had 2 friends at home once but what is the chances that I will be able to find anyone else that is so much like me, in a country where I feel I am an outsider?
What makes it worse is my mum died by taking her life and was clearly just waiting for a time when she felt I had somebody else to look after me to do it. So I feel while that is obviously not my girlfriend’s fault I have a feeling of wasting my mother’s life if I don’t somehow make his relationship work.
I have tried to suggest relationship counselling but she is a bit stubborn on the subject. I feel like she is just looking for a reason to break up with me at this point. I have said that I will work and she just doesn’t seem to be listening. I think she is too concerned with money that she doesn’t realistically need as she doesn’t want to have kids for around 10 more years anyway, by which time I’ll have finished my degree.
I just want so badly to go somewhere else. But where else will take me when I am disabled?
Edit: Clarified/added point
