2024.06.09 21:41 PayTheTeller Nobody Knows Nuffin. The saga of FEC filing MUR 7464

Buckle up buttercup, we're going on a wild ride following some campaign donation money intended to support a republican primary in the state of Ohio in 2018.
I originally intended on writing a post on my buddy Sean Cooksey, the crooked FEC chairman who is engaged in a conspiracy to allow any and all sorts of corruption involving campaign donations to republican candidates, in order to support yesterdays post I wrote involving creative uses of legalese to advance a pre planned determination.
Instead, I found a rabbit hole for your summer reading that is now intended to prove just how big of a fool it would take to donate to the republican party and how many hands are in the cookie jar before your hard earned dollars find their way to buy the TV ads that you thought you were buying.
The document I'm drawing from is the second General Counsels report regarding MUR 7464. Since this post is about the money trail itself, I won't get into too much about why this investigation was happening, how much money the players are dealing with outside of this narrow scope, or the results of the investigation.
So let's look at the original donations, all of which happened in 2018.
The first is a representative of assisted living communities which donated 50k on March 14
Then there is an individual directed directly by the candidate Ryan Smith to donate 100k on April 3rd.
The last is a 501c who donated 350k total, of which 150k was donated on March 27th. This company took in millions in donations from a power company called American Electric Power.
All of this money was transfered to another 501c called Ohio Works. For those playing at home, this is 300k total. Because of the murky transactions between AEP, the redacted 501c, and Ohio Works, the total disbursement is 352k
Now we move on to yet another 501c named IFN owned by a guy named Ray McVeigh. McVeigh had 2 guys working for him named Norris and Riter. On March 7th OhioWorks transferred 30k. March 28th, 200k, April 6th, 120k, and on May 5th, they transferred 2k for a total of 352k
Norris and Riter created an LLC named LZP which was treated as a disregarded entity to the IRS. You might say, hey, I create LLC's by accident all the time so why are we hassling these guys?
Well, it turns out that our boys also created the ironically named Honor PAC which is an "independent" expenditure only company. Must have had a good laugh at the independant part in that name. You should have read the assertions in the first report. The objective reader was misled by these 3 when they completely hoodwinked the investigation into thinking that IFN, LZP, and Honor PAC couldn't possibly be, in any way, related.
Ok, back to the money that now is transferred from IFN to LZP. On March 28th, 180k. On April 6th, 50k. On April 17th, 6k, and on October 17th, 35k. This is a total of 271k. Is it me, or is this pie getting smaller?
Now LZP to Honor PAC. On March 28th 175k. On April 6th, 50k. On April 18th 10k, and on October 19th, 35k, for a total of 270k. Hey, at least they only siphoned off a thousand bucks on this pass. Probably to pay for the filing fees of the company they accidentally created.
Then on finally, whew, to Target Enterprises LLC who you will find all over the republican FEC filing lists. Also SOM media LLC. The payments received from these entities were to pay for the ad campaigns, undoubtedly after, yet another round of administrative fees would be taken out of the kitty. The total amount paid to these entities was $227, 838
So there you have it. How to turn 352k into 227 and change, the republican way.
By the way, what's the dealio with our accidental LLC by McVeighs associates Norris and Riter? Well, it turns out that there are election laws in place which try to prevent obfuscation but all of this layering is effective at masking the siphoning and kick backs.
The redacted donors ponied up the 352k. They had no idea what Ohio works was doing. Ohio works had no idea what IFN was doing. IFN's McVeigh had no idea what his directors were doing when everything but his nice kickback went to their company LZP. Norris and Riter said LZP was just an oopsie when it came to reporting where their company named Honor PAC got the money. And Target doesn't care where Honor PAC got it because it appears they were the only ones actually doing any business with the money. The investigation was scuttled by the FEC because they said that this information shouldn't even be known because they were only supposed to look at the shell companies
See? Nobody knows nuffin and that's exactly how the game is played
But now you know

Special Awards
These awards go to some things that I just think deserved their own mention:
1. The Broadway Pulitzer Prize goes to a most moving piece of literature that I think everyone should read, and that should probably have a musical adaptation of itself someday. Thanks to u/plaiddentalfloss for making this suggestion, the award goes to this post by u/Friendly_Coconut.
2. The Taylor Swift-Level Discourse Award will be split into two parts: one for just this subreddit, and one for all of social media. It will go to a show that attracted the most insane discourse, where both the fans and the haters make me think “holy shit, you guys” on a regular basis.
For this subreddit, the award of course goes to Lempicka. And listen, I am not absolved here, I most certainly participated. And I probably will continue to. Some fans though were acting like the haters were paid actors, and vice versa
If I think about what I saw on social media in general, though, this award is going to The Great Gatsby. Between the Papermill run and the Broadway run, some of y’all were acting like this show killed your firstborn child. But at the same time, Jeremy Jordan stans.
3. The “Thank You So Much For Your Patience I Love You” Award goes to my iPad, for putting up with me creating the Google Forum, then the spreadsheets, then the infographics you’ll see later, even though there were some times where I thought it would explode.
4. The Lin-Manuel Miranda Award for a Composer Iconically Starring in Their own Show goes to Shaina Taub for writing and starring in Suffs!
5. The “Does Not Know What ‘Final Extension’ Means Award goes to Sleep No More, for being on what I believe is their sixth “final extension”.
6. The “Someone Else Suggested This Award and I Can’t Just Not Include It” Award goes to Justin Guarini for Once Upon A One More Time, of which someone in the form said “Who else could have been so comedic and convincing as an entitled, boy band Prince Charming?!”
7. The “Idk What to Call This Award But Thanks For Committing to the Bit” Award goes to the person in the form who just answered “Derek Klena” for every question.

Extra Fun Stuff
I just made some infographics related to the second section of the Google Form, which can be seen here! I am happy to answer any specific questions about the survey if anyone has any.

Future Categories
Some categories that I am considering for next year, and I’m happy to hear some more in the comments!
* Indicating suggestions from voters

I think that’s it. Thank you so much for everyone who turned out, and see you next year!

2024.06.09 21:17 AMETSFAN 1870 Midterms The Rail Splitter

1870 Midterms The Rail Splitter
Although many hoped President Lincoln’s Reconstruction policies would end the conflict in the South, the aftermath of Blaine’s victory quickly proved this hope to be misplaced. Chafing under the broadly accepted vision of President Lincoln, the Ku Klux Klan led by ex-Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest would begin a reign of terror in parts of the South. The KKK’s presence would concentrate in Georgia, Louisiana, and South Carolina, along with pockets in other states to harass black citizens and intimidate potential Republican voters, especially the few blacks who could vote. The KKK has also strongly opposed the “New Departure” Strategy and has attempted to coerce local Democratic parties to make White Supremacy their guiding principle. Blaine responded by passing the Enforcement Act of 1870 which made interfering with voters a federal crime and allowed federal marshals to prosecute any people who partake in such actions, and the extremely controversial Ku Klux Klan Act of 1870 which allowed the Federal military to enforce laws of Congress, made state officials liable for violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1867, prohibited suspected Klansmen from serving on juries related to Klan prosecutions, and, most controversially, temporarily suspended habeas corpus in areas where the Klan was present. Using the full weight of both the Department of War and Justice, Blaine has begun the mass arrests and prosecutions of Klansmen, and the KKK has vanished from polling stations across the South. Nonetheless, Blaine’s opponents among the National Union Republicans and Democrats accuse him of tyranny and accuse him of dismantling Lincoln’s Reconstruction with many Southern NURs voting against the Ku Klux Klan Act, and even the President’s closest advisor, Secretary of Treasury Garfield expressing opposition.

Ex-Confederate Lt. General Nathaniel B. Forrest is rumored to be close to closing the KKK with the Federal government on the march.
Blaine would also sign the Naturalization Act of 1870 which allowed for the naturalization of people of African descent, though, not ones of Chinese descent with Blaine making appearances in California to denounce the evils of “coolie labor,” and also provided for the right of all citizens to sit on juries. Blaine has also endorsed Constitutional Amendments for the Civil Rights Act and universal suffrage, and, has used his patronage in the South to support Radicals and many carpetbaggers who have enacted universal suffrage in some cases despite pleas from scalawags like James Alcorn and Andrew Jackson Hamilton to let native Southerners run the state parties. Nonetheless, Blaine has also signed the Amnesty Act of 1869 pardoning all Confederates, except for Confederate President Jefferson Davis, who remains in Canada.
Economically, Blaine has used his decisive mandate to continue the transformation of the Federal Government’s role in American society. Blaine has signed legislation continuing the Freedman’s Bureau and expanding its operations in securing advancements for Black citizens in health, education, and wages with the Freedman’s Bureau paying renewed attention to securing improved contracts for black workers. Blaine also doubled down on railroad expansion, expanding grants and subsidies for the Texas & Pacific Railway’s planned “Second Continental Railroad,” which would stretch from Pennsylvania through the South to St. Louis and then to Texas before ending in San Diego. Blaine has also sponsored grants for a variety of railroads for Southern and Western states at the behest of Republican politicians with many opponents of railroad land grants arguing that Blaine was favoring railroad companies with whom he was close, citing the relationship between the Union Pacific Railroad and leading Republican politicians, such as Blaine. Blaine also passed a bill expanding the Morrill Land-Grant Act of 1862 to Southern states, allowing for the expansion of existing state universities and creating new ones in states like Alabama and Arkansas. The Morrill Land-Grant Act of 1870 has also provided for black colleges and universities, but, has been criticized by men like Benjamin Butler for facilitating segregated education with no regulations on segregation within Southern education. In response to complaints from Southerners that public education is too costly to fund, Blaine has also endorsed a bill by freshman Congressman Henry W. Blair for universal education funded by the Federal Government. While pleasing fiscal conservatives with his signature of the Public Credit Act of 1869, affirming the nation’s commitment to gold, Blaine has been unable to abolish the income tax and has only paid down small parts of the national debt due to his spending, with Democrats and anti-Blaine Republicans criticizing his inability to do so.

Congressman Henry W. Blair has begun the fight for free and universal education.
Blaine has also faced criticism over alleged corruption. Soon after he entered the Presidency, the Black Friday conspiracy by Jay Gould and Jay Fisk to corner the gold market began. While Blaine was able to avoid financial armageddon, Blaine and Treasury Secretary Garfield have been severely criticized for following the two men’s wishes for much of their plot with Black Friday leading to an economic downturn for numerous months while the pair escaped without legal punishment. Blaine has fiercely opposed Civil Service reform, with his only concession being a Civil Service Commission undermined by his decision to make William A. Richardson, known for his belief in looser ethics, Chairman. Rumors have emerged about improprieties in the Port Authority of New York and contracts given by the Post Office for “Star Routes,” all of which have been denied by the President and those accused. Secretary of State John A. Logan, Postmaster General Stephen W. Dorsey, and Secretary of War Ulysses Grant have also been accused of letting incompetence and corruption fester within the Departments, with Dorsey and Grant in particular under fire over allegations of managing Departments filled with bribery, corruption, rigged contracts, and other illicit practices while Dorsey has been accused of personal involvement with Star Routes.
National Union Republican Party:
President Blaine ran in 1868 with a promise to unite the party, yet, has overseen the fragmenting of the coalition that ruled the previous decade. His policies on civil rights, railroads, and civil service reform have led to discontent within the party along with other controversial issues. Stalwart Republicans have backed the President on policy, even if many have personal conflicts with the President, such as Roscoe Conkling. They argue, first and foremost, that Blaine’s actions against the Ku Klux Klan are defending the principles of the Civil War, and reject the argument that the Ku Klux Klan Act attacks civil liberties by pointing to President Lincoln’s suspensions of habeas corpus during the Civil War. They also fervently argue in favor of railroad grants, free public education, and interventionist economics, although some are more skeptical of the latter due to fears of devaluing the Gold Standard and potentially ruinous national debt. A uniting belief among Stalwarts is opposition to civil service reform, or Roscoe Conkling dubbed “snivel service reform” with Conkling infamously deriding leading reform advocate George William Curtis as a “man milliner.” On other issues, Stalwarts advocate for an assimilationist Native policy, while seeing no issues in the current Department of Interior, staunchly support protectionist tariff policy, oppose amnesty for Jefferson Davis, are uncompromisingly in favor of the Gold Standard, support an expansionary foreign policy, and support Constitutional Amendments for Civil Rights and Suffrage.

Cartoon mocking the many allegations of corruption against President Blaine from his leading editorial enemy, Thomas Nast.
The Liberal Republicans represent discontent within the Republican Party with President Blaine's policies for various reasons ranging from corruption, civil rights, and tariffs to even simple patronage. The Liberal Republican movement would begin in Missouri in opposition to the Stalwart-controlled state Government that had enacted the most Radical Reconstruction with a total disenfranchisement of thousands of ex-Confederates. Liberal Republicans would run ex-Senator John B. Henderson against Stalwart Governor Joseph W. McClurg with Democratic support, quickly attracting the attention of national observers. President Blaine would pressure leading Republicans and state officers to support McClurg, but, to the shock of many, 11 Republican Senators led by Charles Sumner and Carl Schurz would publish a letter first criticizing the illiberality and corruption of the Missouri Government before attacking Blaine for “chopping off the heads of those suspected of sympathizing with Mr. Henderson.” At the core of the Liberal Republican message is a call for civil service reform, a reformation of the Federal Government’s Departments (Interior, Postal, and War are often brought up by name), and, a call for eliminating rotation in office. Another important call among Liberal Republicans is demands for the end of patronage for Carpetbaggers in the South and the continuation of Lincoln’s “just” Reconstruction.
The wing is also broadly in favor of lower tariffs, an anathema to the traditional Republican message, but, one that has caught on among reformers who see the protective tariff as a shield for protecting certain monopolies and interests. On civil rights issues, Liberal Republicans are divided with some like Sumner and Edmund G. Ross endorsing further civil rights measures and Constitutional Amendments for at least the Civil Rights Act while others like Schurz and Senator Orris Ferry are more skeptical. Similarly, on railroads and land grants, the party is broadly opposed, but some more moderate Liberal Republicans, who are entirely committed to the party, but still take issue with Blaine such as Ohio Governor Rutherford B. Hayes and Congressman William A. Wheeler are supportive. There is more consensus in the party in favor of funding education, however. Liberal Republicans also favor pardoning Jefferson Davis, the rapid abolishment of the income tax, a limited foreign policy, and the assimilation of Native Americans while arguing corruption in the Department of Interior plagues relations with various tribes.

Cartoon mocking Democratic pledges of support for equal rights and civil service reform, also by Nast.
Democratic Party:
Reeling after another smashing electoral defeat, the Democrats are reduced to only rhetorical pleas against the Republican program in Congress. Facing internal divisions and external domination, the party of Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren has been brought to its knees and the very question of its survival is at stake. Like the Republicans, the Democrats face divisions on many of the major issues, both policy and philosophical. As a whole, the Democratic Party has strongly endorsed lower tariffs, and the abolition of the income tax, pardoning Jefferson Davis, and has vehemently attacked Blaine on corruption and endorsed civil service reform. But, the party still faces fissures despite a limited consensus.
Departure Democrats argue that the modest gains made by Chief Justice Chase in the 1868 Election compared to the 1866 Midterms can only be expanded if the party continues expunging any links to secession and planter domination. Departure Democrats, first and foremost, focus on supporting “New South” Democrats who will focus on industry and avoid White Supremacy in local Southern elections. Departure Democrats are the foremost advocates of cooperation with the Liberal Republicans in areas where advantageous, such as the aforementioned Missouri Gubernatorial Election or in various Senate elections where more Liberal Republicans are facing election. Departure Democrats have previously largely supported railroad grants and land colleges, but, have expressed skepticism due to fears of corporate abuse, particularly by carpetbaggers. However, they largely support railroad construction done at the state level, except for instances of corruption (especially when associated with Republican legislators.) Concerning Civil Rights, Departure Democrats have all endorsed acceptance of President Lincoln’s Reconstruction, including the Civil Rights Act, but, have opposed the KKK Act for being tyrannical and alienating Southerners. Departure Democrats are more willing than most Democrats to accept an expanded Navy, but, still largely oppose expansionary efforts and are more skeptical of universal education with the public debt still having to be paid off.
Meanwhile, Bourbon Democrats remain quite similar to Departure Democrats and are closely connected, but, are more broadly fiscally conservative. Bourbon Democrats believe that, while state railroad subsidies are advisable, continued federal subsidies for railroads would be too fiscally ruinous and believe the Government’s priority should be to pay back the national debt. Bourbon Democrats also take a stronger stance against the Ku Klux Klan Act with many Bourbon Democrats accused of accepting Klan violence if it were to gain them votes. However, some Bourbons such as Henry Matthews and John M. Palmer have condemned Klan violence while opposing the Klan Act. Bourbons are also more likely to oppose the expansion of the Navy, and, especially, American imperialism.
Agrarian Democrats led by Thomas Ewing Jr and William R. Taylor are the only Democrats who oppose the Gold Standard, still agitating for inflating the economy through Greenbacks to facilitate faster Western settlement and pay off debts for farmers. Agrarian Democrats are also more associated with movements for labor rights with calls for enforcing an 8-hour day without cuts in federal employment, a Bureau of Labor Statistics, stringent opposition to corporate monopolies of railroads, and, opposition to land-grants on the ground that the land belonged to settlers, not bidders. Agrarian Democrats have also played up more overt racism towards black Americans and have stringently opposed the Ku Klux Klan Act, with the party attempting to make inroads with White Southern farmers. Agrarian Democrats also are staunchly anti-expansionism, focus on settler prerogative in Western territories, and have joined President Blaine in anti-Chinese rhetoric.
Finally, Redeemer Democrats have openly called for the restoration of White Supremacy and rule by any means necessary, including the Ku Klux Klan and other paramilitaries if need be. Redeemers employ unapologetically vitriolic and racist rhetoric in their campaigns, and, argue that Blacks are inherently undeserving of the rights of citizenship while focusing on many cases of Carpetbagger corruption to argue that Democratic planter rule in the South is preferable. Most Redeemers are members of the weakened planter elite who are committed to Conservative economic principles like the Gold Standard and are skeptical of even state subsidies for railroads. But, above all, they are committed to the restoration of a White South, and face condemnation from even many Democrats.

2024.06.09 21:12 stillhotterthanyou Why do the democrats think that America is a racist country and that Republicans are racist?

Joe Biden said in a public speech that America was a racist country. All because a drug addict who happened to have melanin in his skin was killed. I do think Derek Chauvin was rightly convicted. He deserved to go to jail. I think Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd because he hated the character of George Floyd, which was that he was a drug addicted felon who abandoned his children. I think Derek Chauvin would have killed Floyd even if Floyd was as white as he was.
However, I don’t agree that George Floyd deserves to be held as a hero or a martyr for the black community and have a name that is forever semented in racial injustice.
Joe Biden who served as the vice president of the first African American to become USA president.
Barack Obama could not have become president in this country that is 75+% fully white if America was a racist country.
If the Republican Party was a racist party, why would they have had Condeleeza Rice speak at the RNC in 2012. If the Republican Party was racist, why would George Bush have nominated Condeleeza Rice as the US Secretary of State. And as much as you all hate Candace Owens (which you are entitled to, never said you had to like her though I do), why would she have so much popularity among Republicans and Donald Trump if Republicans were a racist party that wanted black people specifically to suffer. Explain that.
I feel as though the democrat party doesn’t want to accept that we have moved on from race being an issue. And while racism will always exist, it is not the massive barrier that it was in the 1940s like many democrats make it out to be.
Because race really is not a barrier if we can teach people to see themselves as American and not as the color of their skin. I say that as a half white/half asian man who was born in America and has lived in America his whole life.

2024.06.09 21:12 wameniser Am I the only one feeling this way about Tyla?

Tyla is of course very talented and conventionally attractive, whether that be western or African beauty standards.
I just feel like so much about her is extremely manufactured. From her persona, to the way she is being positioned in the US, to her come up.
She is signed to a big American label (Epic) and I think it's wonderful that they are investing so much in her. I see some people being fascinated by why she is doing so well so quickly compared to other African artists in America, but to me it makes sense since it is her label securing opportunities for her. It's normal that her come up feels inorganic because it is - she has a machine behind her.
Epic has been , in my opinion, using viral marketing to put Tyla on the map since 2022 . I.e. paying big accounts on Twitter and Tiktok to put her name and her songs out there. That's how I first came across her song "been thinkin" which I like a lot till this day. In 2023, her song water was everywhere. As in, completely inescapable on the timeline in a way that feels artificial. I know many people irl who were wondering why her and her song were suggested to them even when they never looked her up nor had any interest in common with her & her fans .
Tbh, do what you got to do for your artist of course, but that's why people call her an industry plant. Because her come up was manufactured.
Now onto a more controversial topic - let's bring up her looks 💀. But more specifically her race. Tyla is considered "racially ambiguous" in the US and I think it is also a strategic move by Epic. When it comes to female African superstars, complexion was never really a big issue. There have been plenty of female performers of all complexions who have made it . You'll notice that previously to Tyla, the women in Afrobeats who had a break though in the US market and who were actually pushed by African listeners were all dark skin/brown skin.
I think it was very intentional on Epic's part to look for a non Black, lighter skinned, racially ambiguous girl from south Africa to represent Afrobeats on a global scale ( her current sound is not amapiano imo, it's more Afrobeats). She sings in an american accent so she is more palatable to the us market.
In 1-2 albums i predict they will follow the rihanna formula and switch to a full blown pop sound. Because yes, Tyla and her team are following the Rihanna formula. Rihanna was a pretty cool girl from Barbados and Tyla is now being marketed as a pretty cool girl from South Africa. Rihanna had her best friend Melissa ford, Tyla has her bestie Thato (who also works as her creative director apparently). Of course, what I see as a manufactured persona could probably just be her personality. You can't manufacture EVERY aspect of a pop star after all, a lot of it has to do with her natural talent, beauty and charm.
Her fans are also a bit mind boggling because they act as if she is the only African girl who is feminine , likeable and pretty 😭. I think it also has to do with complexion and phenotype because Ayra & tems - who also released their debut albums this year, check them out!- are also cool, feminine and likeable. They do a bit too much while trying to hype up tyla online sometimes.
TL;DR : Tyla's career is manufactured and she has a big machine behind her supporting her come up.

2024.06.09 21:08 Accurate-Broccoli-77 The History of Nations on Earth: 2,800-7,900 AD

The Rise and Fall of Nations on Earth

Introduction
This encyclopedic article chronicles the epic, millennia-spanning saga of the rise and fall of nations on planet Earth, from the tumultuous Pre-Cataclysm Era in the 2700s through the transformative Uplift Era, the great interspecies conflicts of the Post-Cataclysm and Uplift Wars, the dawning of off-world colonization, and the eventual decline of human civilization with the ascendance of the artificially evolved Lumen species by 7900. Drawing upon historical records and archeological findings, it provides a comprehensive account of the cataclysmic events, technological and cultural developments, key figures and civilizations, and the overarching geopolitical upheavals that reshaped the global order over thousands of years. This sweeping historical narrative offers profound insights into the resilience, adaptability, and capacity for both creation and destruction that defined the sapient species of Earth.
Pre-Cataclysm Era (2700s)
The Pre-Cataclysm Era of the 2700s was marked by rapid scientific and technological progress alongside growing sociopolitical unrest and ecological degradation. Major nation-states and power blocs like the North American Empire, Eurasian Federation, African Union, South American Confederation, and Oceanic Alliance vied for global supremacy through military might, economic coercion, and technological brinkmanship. Despite their might, governments struggled with pervasive surveillance, oppressive social control systems, severe inequality, disinformation, and the depletion of finite resources. The consequences of unchecked industrialization and urbanization like climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, and resource scarcity foreshadowed the planetary cataclysms to come.
Cataclysmic Events (2800-2877)
The period between 2800-2877 saw a series of devastating cataclysmic events that brought an end to the Pre-Cataclysm Era and radically reshaped the Earth's surface. Massive supervolcano eruptions like Yellowstone blanketed continents in ash. Megathrust earthquakes in regions like Cascadia generated destructive tsunami waves. Eruptions of the Siberian Traps released greenhouse gases driving rapid global warming and ocean acidification. A gigantic landslide in the Canary Islands triggered a mega-tsunami across the Atlantic. The upheaval collapsed nations, wiped out population centers, decimated ecosystems, and merged the continents into the supercontinent of Uniterra surrounded by archipelagos. It marked an existential catastrophe for humanity that few survived.
Seven Survivor Groups and Early Rebuilding (2877-3200)
The cataclysms nearly rendered humanity extinct, but seven isolated groups managed to endure: the Svalbard Seed Vault Survivors, Mekong Delta Refuge, Andean Stronghold, Siberian Tundra Enclave, Polynesian Voyagers, Appalachian Mountain Refuge, and Kalahari Desert Sanctuary. Each emerged into the harsh new reality of Uniterra's unfamiliar terrain, towering megaflora like thousand-foot trees, and deadly megafauna like giant reptiles, mammals, and insects. Over centuries, they painstakingly reestablished agriculture, shelter, and the precursors to new nations through their unique ancestral skills in farming, aquaculture, mountaineering, seafaring, and desert survival. Their rediscovery of lost technologies set the stage for future societal rebirth on the altered world.
Altered Earth Era (3200-3800)
As the descendants of the survivor groups established settlements and explored their new environments, distinct societal structures and cultural identities emerged, forming the foundations of what would become the earliest new nations of the Altered Earth Era like the Svalbard Federation, Mekong Delta Alliance, Andean Confederation, Siberian Tundra Coalition, Polynesian Maritime Federation, Appalachian Union, and Kalahari Desert Confederation. To adapt to Uniterra's formidable landscapes and life forms, they revolutionized fields like agriculture, architecture, energy, industry, and warfare. However, competition over finite resources like water and land ignited the first territorial conflicts between these nascent civilizations after the cataclysms.
Technological Resurgence and Societal Development (3800-4000)
By 3800, the technological knowledge of the pre-cataclysm world was resurging, with rediscoveries like autonomous vehicles, advanced computing, artificial general intelligence, bioengineered crops, and renewable energy infrastructure. The nations grew more structurally complex and developed distinct cultural identities reflected in their languages, religions, arts, and social norms. However, this era was also marred by the resurgence of human supremacist ideologies, invasive social control systems, inequality, censorship, and other injustices previewing future upheaval.
Post-Cataclysm Wars (4000-4200)
From 4000-4200, the Post-Cataclysm Wars raged as nations like the Svalbard Federation, Mekong Delta Alliance, Andean Confederation, Siberian Tundra Coalition, and others deployed increasingly apocalyptic weapons - from intelligent drones and cybernetic supersoldiers to biological agents and energy cannons - to gain military superiority and control over vital resources across Uniterra. Epic battles like the Siege of New Babylon, the Battle of the Boreal Sea, and the Mountain Campaign extinguished entire cities. The cataclysmic conflicts triggered unprecedented technological leaps in fields like robotics, cybernetics, and artificial intelligence to survive total war, but also caused staggering casualties, infrastructure devastation, famine, disease, and economic collapse before an eventual stalemate and the formation of tenuous peace treaties.
The Uplift Era (4200-4800)
The Uplift Era brought seismic upheaval as clandestine researchers from struggling nations achieved the unthinkable - uplifting various animal species like canines, felines, swine, primates, cetaceans, and cephalopods to human-level intelligence and autonomous sapience through genetic engineering and neurological augmentation. The emergence of these radically enhanced species threatened humanity's primacy and birthed visions of either cooperative cosmic transcendence or existential subjugation. Over centuries, the uplifted formed their own civilizations, nations, and evolutionary trajectories, developing unique cultures and paradigm-shifting biotechnologies. The Canine Confederation, Feline Empire, Swine Collective, Primate Alliance, Cetacean Collective, and Cephalopod Consortium asserted their self-determination alongside human resistance and open conflict, completely recasting the geopolitical landscape.
The Rise of Uplifted Nations (4800-5200)
From 4800-5200, the uplifted nations solidified their territorial claims and influence, often encroaching on the domains of human civilizations through superior technologies or sheer population growth. New interspecies alliances emerged like the Canine-Feline Alliance and Primate-Swine Coalition, while maritimedomains like the Polynesian Federation and Cetacean-Cephalopod Pact vied for control of ocean trade and resources. Periods of uneasy cooperation through efforts like the Interspecies Scientific Consortium were punctuated by escalating conflicts like the Great Plains War between humans and uplifted forces over the resource-rich grasslands of central Uniterra. The upheaval blurred prior cultural boundaries, birthed groundbreaking advancements in AI and space exploration, and foreshadowed greater upheavals.
The Great Uplift Wars (5200-5800)
Tensions between human and uplifted powers finally erupted into the apocalyptic Great Uplift Wars from 5200-5800, as blocs like the Tripartite Pact of the Canines, Felines, and Primates clashed with humanity over dwindling resources and ideological supremacy. Titanic campaigns like the Siege of New Babylon, the Battle of the Boreal Sea, and the ruinous Great Desert War saw radical new weapons unfathomable even during the Post-Cataclysm Wars deployed, including bioengineered armies, sentient machines, and psionic powers that could manipulate minds and transcend space. After centuries of cataclysmic conflict scoured Uniterra, the uplifted species finally achieved victory and forged the Sapient Alliance global order, relegating humans to limited enclaves. The wars represented a cultural singularity where the evolved uplifts supplanted Homo sapiens as the planet's dominant life forms.
Dawn of Off-World Colonization and Reconstruction (5800-6200)
The aftermath of the Uplift Wars saw ideological schisms emerge between uplifted society's secular progressives and humanity's remaining traditionalists. However, more unifying efforts focused on rebuilding Uniterra's devastated nations and infrastructure while advancing space exploration to colonize other worlds less damaged by millennia of cataclysms and conflict. This drove technological leaps enabling pivotal achievements like the permanent Helfspir Settlement on Mars by 6000 - the first extraterrestrial human colony. Yet Helfspir remained an isolated outpost, as most uplifted and human resources focused on post-war Terra for nearly a millennium due to the staggering investment required for further off-world expansion.
Consolidation and Advancement (6200-7600)
From 6200-7600, the most scientifically advanced nations consolidated global power and formed new supranational alliances on Uniterra like the Svalbard Federation, Mekong Delta Authority, and Andean Primacy as rivals fell. Rapid progress in fields like biotechnology, nanotechnology, AI, and human enhancements like genetic engineering and cybernetics blurred prior biological boundaries and birthed a new post-humanist class of augmented individuals. Cities embraced fractal designs and neo-feudalistic hierarchies for extreme resource efficiency, with elite "core" clans controlling most technology. However, eventually these concentrated technocracies erupted into further Global Resource Wars and draconian control systems like the Imperium Contract to enforce order.
Rise and Fall of Earth's Nations (7600-7900)
The era between 7600-7900 saw perhaps the most pivotal transformation in Earth's human civilizations as the Chrono-Biogenesis Project birthed an artificial species - the Lumens - that would supersede and almost eradicate Homo sapiens itself. As these superiorly enhanced transhuman Lumens proliferated, most of the old post-cataclysm nations quickly declined or were absorbed into Lumen spheres of control. Only small "holdout" nativist societies resisted integration to preserve human autonomy and culture. By 7900, this completed a final shift in the planetary balance of power, with over 90% of Earth's population now Lumen. A bitterly contested "Lumen Imperative" attempted to preserve the last vestiges of humanity, but their fate remained ambiguous as the new Lumen civilization became the inheritors of the world.
Legacy and Insights
This sprawling historical account of the rise and fall of nations on Earth spans over 5,000 years - revealing a rich, complex, and cosmically profound saga of civilizational ascendancy and collapse, cataclysmic upheavals, technological revolutions transcending the limits of carbon-based biology, and the eternal struggle of autonomous sapient life forms to survive and propagate amid existence's grandest stages. Emerging from primal origins, humanity catalyzed its own transcendence and rendered Earth the primordial cradle for the Lumen, its first self-evolved progeny to supplant its creators as the custodians of this terrestrial sphere.
This compendium's insights into the dynamic interplay between sentient society, breakthrough innovation, resource competition, and planetary existential risks offer vital lessons for all emergent intelligences in this vast universe in prudently shepherding their evolutionary potential. For whether across the seas of Earth's former continents or between the interstellar gulfs that enveloped its precivilized ancestors in cosmic night, the grand profundities of survival, progress, and meaning abide through every transcendent metamorphosis of life's journey from the primordial ooze to the vaults of eternity.

Searching for surprise African DNA
Hello Everyone!
I have what I realise is a long shot of a question, but Google and my amateur genealogy have proven fruitless thus far.
A few months ago I looked up my ‘hacked’ results and was surprised to see ~0.25% African DNA. I figured it was a mistake until my mother and first cousin did theirs as well and received similar results.
However, I cannot figure out where it is coming from! One of my grandparents was Welsh, so I’m thinking it’s less likely on that branch. The other was descended from Palatine Loyalists who came to Ontario from Upstate New York during the American Revolution. This is the branch it seems more likely to be coming from, but there are no records that indicate anything.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the Palatines keeping slaves or being involved with the Underground Railroad, possibly? I would just love to have more information about this surprise bit of DNA!

2024.06.09 20:53 Alone-Committee7884 Israel is not a Middle Eastern country

People who say that Israel is just non-Muslim Middle Eastern nation probably didn't read what Israeli and Zionist leaders themselves said:
Theodor Herzl:
"We should there [ in the Middle East ] form a portion of a rampart of Europe against Asia , an outpost of civilization as opposed to barbarism."
Max Nordau:
"We intend to come to Palestine as the emissaries of culture and to expand the moral boundaries of Europe to the Euphrates."
Vladimir Jabotinsky:
"We , thank God , belong to Europe , and for two thousand years have helped to create the culture of the West . We have nothing to do with the East."
David Grün/Ben Gurion:
"We have no connection with the Arabs. Our regime, our culture, our relations, is not the fruit of this region. There is no political affinity between us, or international solidarity. We don't want Israelis to become Arabs. We are in duty bound to fight against the spirit of the Levant."
Golda Mabovitch/Meir when asked about being a “Middle Eastern”, she replied:
"That's the last thing we want to be !, We are and must remain a European nation."
Benzoin Mileikowsky/Benjamin Netanyahu:
"We are part of the European culture. Europe ends in Israel. East of Israel, there is no more Europe. Don’t undermine that one European, Western country that defends European values and European interests and prevents another mass migration to Europe."
Issac Herzog:
“This war is a war that is not only between Israel and Hamas. It’s a war that is intended, really, truly, to save Western civilization, to save the values of Western civilization.”
In 2005, Israeli ambassador to Australia Naftali Tamir said in an interview:
"Israel and Australia are like sisters in Asia. We are in Asia without the characteristics of Asians. We don't have yellow skin and slanted eyes. Asia is basically the yellow race. Australia and Israel are not - we are basically the white race. We are on the western side of Asia and they are on the southeastern side."
Israel was established by European people to serve European interests. Mizrahi Jews and Palestinians living there doesn't change this fact just like the existence of millions of black Africans and native Americans doesn't change the fact that the USA was established by European people to serve European interests.

2024.06.09 20:41 obtuseduck You really don't know how good you have it (pizza related)

I visited the midwest recently and wow. I've seen some absolutely horrific culinary abominations I may not be able to forget. One specifically horrific thing was a pizza made with American? cheese that crumbled and didn't stretch. It tore up my stomach. I was visiting a friend in Minnesota and he suggested we get some pizza. I assumed nothing negative as online reviews were good. Well, I was soon thoroughly disappointed.
First off, they do cross-cut which is asinine. Where are my triangles? The other thing that got me is that it seems like they don't put the toppings on the top? I mean it's in the name! Because of this, it doesn't cook properly. You have a sauce covered cracker and a layer of cheese with toppings stuck in it that just peels off.
We tried a couple different places over my trip before I had to put my foot down. I encourage you, go on Google Maps and just type in pizza and pick a random spot. It's going to look horrible 99% of the time. I don't remember the exact places we ate, but this is just a random place I found and it looks just like the junk I had. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g43031-d6934881-Reviews-Red_s_Savoy_Pizza-Edina_Minnesota.html
I'm assuming it's from their heavily Scandinavian population that the food is so bland, but wow, I've never had something so terrible. Makes the pizza in the lunchroom as a kid seem exemplary in comparison. It really makes you feel lucky that anywhere in this small state you can get amazing New Haven or Greek style pizza. Any random place won't disappoint you like the abominations I've seen. Oh and green olives do not belong on pizza! Plus their pizzas are expensive, the place we went had a large which was 14" for something like $27! I never knew something that small for that expensive could taste so bad!!
It's good to be back on the east coast where a pie won't make you cry.

2024.06.09 20:40 A-troubled-person My foot pops with (almost) every step

Age: 19
Sex: Male
Height: 5’7
Weight: 135
Race: African American
Duration of complaint: a few years
Location: gym class
Any existing relevant medical issues: nope
Current medications: none
My right big toe tends to pop with every other step, it’s not particularly painful but it does annoy the shit out of me. It happened 3-4 years ago in high school when I slide into a wall with my right foot going first, I couldn’t walk for a bit but I eventually pushed through and eventually paid it no mind. I thought the popping would stop but here I am a few years later and it’s still popping. It doesn’t hurt while walking most of the time, but it does feel very stiff. Whenever I walk or run for long periods of time I’ll get mild pain. I went to a podiatrist about it and he said he’s not too concerned about it and I should get orthotics. Another thing to note that I just noticed is that my right foot hurts when I run my fingers across the indentation between my big toe and neighboring toe. It’s only on the right side and not the left, both the pain and popping. I wanted to get somebody else’s opinion just in case I’m overthinking this.

2024.06.09 19:57 Zealousideal_Ad_1652 Locked Up Abroad: One Americans Journey to Bangkok's Immigration Detention Center

As an American citizen, I arrived at the airport on time for my flight. Upon reaching immigration, I was informed of a 20,000 baht fine for overstaying. Despite having the cash, I was treated unfairly compared to other travelers, the officer told me I would have to be detained and could not pay. I am African American, and I noticed other European travelers having no problem and quickly moving on to there flight. I figured something was about as the officer was looking me up and down and acting aggressively.
The treatment by immigration and police was disrespectful and in stark contrast to Thailand's promoted hospitality. The officer gave me fake deadlines to book a flight and when I said I had another flight booked and prepared to pay the 20,000 he said it was too late and that I would be arrested. He said "We dont care about your embassy". I immediately contacted the US Embassy at that point, which would turn out to be a saving decision.
Transferred to the airport prison, I endured unsanitary conditions, piss bottles in the cell, ramen served once over two days, denied phone calls or access to my computer and lack of facilities (no shower). Later moved to Subvarnhim Central Prison, the conditions remained dire, mosquitos, rats, roaches, requiring bribes (500 Baht) for basic necessities like water, soap, and food. There was no schedule, no physical check up, if there was an event the police would not know. Witnessing others' suffering, I shared what I could.
After days without updates, I was taken to court and fined, then transferred to Bangkok's Immigration Detention Center. Arriving there in a caravan of 10+ people, I was the only one to get a phone call. I felt a tapping on my shoulder as a Thai immigration officer shoved a cellphone into my hand. The US Embassy notified me they had been working non-stop to get me out which streamlined my arrival to the IDC and because of my Military status, I spent only a day there, unlike others languishing for years in deplorable conditions. 100 people in a room, no beds, subjected to the floor. The food was horribly cooked and did not contain a source of meat. They did not provide bottle water, and you were forced to drink Tap water from the bathroom sinks.
Sleeping on concrete floors in crowded cells, inmates there told me people had endured physical and sexual assaults, extortion, the experience was harrowing. On the way to the airport, officers subjected us to further humiliation, leaving us in caged truck in front of the Airport without water. Many of us took our clothes off to not overheat. I admonished him for there inhumane treatment as my case was resolved. The officer returned with another officer resorting to handcuffing me and pushed me in my chest, to no harm.
The treatment I received tarnishes Thailand's reputation forever in my eyes and more people are becoming aware of the unbalance and dark side of Thailand, the supposed land of smiles. I implore global authorities and human rights activist to investigate and rectify the inhumane treatment of foreigners for minor infractions in the Bangkok Immigration Detention Center.
There will be those who say its your fault for overstaying a few months. I pray for you and your inability to understand the point of this testimony and I pray you find compassion in your heart one day. You see that is the way to turn a blind eye to injustices committed upon someone. We are all redeemable and all human beings and should be treated with dignity even if we fall short of the expectations of others.
Feel free to contact me, I would be happy to do a interview or further testimony to document my experience for any human rights groups.

2024.06.09 19:47 bisopdigest Seeking Support and Guidance as a New African-American Member Facing Constant Negativity

I'm reaching out to this community for some support and guidance.
I recently joined the Church (25 M), and I started the year off strong. I was attending church every Sunday, participating in institute classes, and visiting the temple regularly. However, over time, I've found it increasingly difficult to maintain my involvement due to the overwhelming negativity and criticism from those around me.
Every single person I know has been extremely negative about my decision to join the church. It seems that if I'm going to be part of this faith, I have to accept that I will always be seen as a sellout or someone who hates themselves by many within my community. Even when I get picked up and dropped off at church via Uber, the drivers often take the opportunity to lecture me about how odd or silly it is for a black man to be a member of the church.
The negativity is constant and pervasive. Almost everyone who discovers my association with the church looks down on me or makes fun of me. It hurts, and while I understand that as a grown man I shouldn't let it affect me, it truly does. I feel like I'll always be an outcast and always looked down upon.
People tell me hurtful things, like the only reason I'm accepted by the church is as a token, and that people don't genuinely want me there. They say that I'll never be able to find a wife and marry within the church because of my race. These comments cut deep, and the sad part is, that I know there is some truth to the social challenges I might face because of my decision.
I'm struggling to reconcile my faith with the negativity I encounter daily. I believe in the principles and teachings of the church, but the social isolation and constant criticism are making it hard to stay committed.
Has anyone else faced similar challenges? How did you cope with the negativity and maintain your faith? I would greatly appreciate any advice, support, or encouragement you can offer.

2024.06.09 19:21 Sea-Union-566 Chicanos and Latinos Homogeneity: Rant 1/2

I went to a university in which Chicanos are far and few between. Few people believe this because there is a moderately sizable Latino population. The vast majority, with the exception of 1 person besides myself, were of South American descent or had immigrated from non-Mexican Latino countries. I was surrounded by Latino students of a plethora of non-Mexican backgrounds, yet the only Chicanos/Mexicanos I could find were all building maintenance and servers (there is nothing inherently wrong with those jobs, but you get what I mean). I never met a single person in university (including myself, at the time) who made any sort of distinguishment between Chicanos and Latinos in general.
The blanket term Latino shields the fact that Chicanos have a separate history in the North Mexican / Southwest area and as such their specific underrepresentation is reflective of a history of 500 yesrs of conquest and disenfranchisement. Most Chicanos have ancestry that links them to this area for thousands of years. The tangled history that Chicanos have with the development of the United States in particular links them with current underrepresentation. Chicanos were treated as second class citizens - a servant class, and that legacy has created the institutionalized discrimination many Chicanos suffer from to this day.
To make an approximate analogy to the black community, it would be as if you attended a college with a moderately sizable black population, but the vast majority of them were first generation immigrants from African countries with affluent backgrounds, and there were very few that had a long tracable American continent presence. I.e., the people who were more likely to descended from slaves being less likely to enroll in college due to a history of system oppression, as opposed to new arrivals who did not have the same background. I think Chicano communities experience this hypothetical, in which new arrival (affluent college bound arrivals, that is - I recognize this is not the case for all Latinos especially current Salvadorian immigrants) Latino people dodged the systemic oppression that affects Chicanos who's families have existed in the country for longer. The lack of (as much) oppression against these modern Latino and African students is not bad, it's fantastic the civil rights gains from Chicanos and the Black community are coming to fruition, I think it's just representative of how history may affect gains in the modern day.
I would even make the argument that much of the resistance to Latino immigrants today is actually hostility meant for Chicanos ("Mexicans") and brown Mexican nationals, but the offenders are unaware of the difference.
Essentially, I think the homogenizing label of Latino, while it gives Chicanos strength in numbers for advancing representation, may also be blanketing unique and historical injustices suffered by this particular group that leaves the marginalized to this day.
What do y'all think

2024.06.09 18:16 Kekktye A Sourced History of My Chemical Romance's Lost Songs Rediscovered Nine Volt Heart Info

This is a repost with new info, corrections and better formatting. Thanks for previous contributions! <3
I've seen quite a few "All lost My Chemical Romance songs" and "My Chemical Romance rarities" posts, but they mostly all either:
A: Conflate "Lost" with "Rare" or "Not studio-produced" B: Aren't Sourced C: Incomplete D: Have disinfo E: Mistakenly include working titles for later released tracks as "lost"
So, here we go! I've gotten most of my info from a few archives and long-time fans in the community but I would love to hear any additions you have to add! The more eyes the better!
For clarity: Bullets = I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love Revenge = Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge LOTMS = Life on the Murder Scene TBP = The Black Parade TBPID = The Black Parade Is Dead! DD = Danger Days CW = Conventional Weapons TPK = The Paper Kingdom MDNSY = May Death Never Stop You
Tracks are listed in supposed creation order, then by discovery or release Nine Volt Heart aka Android [..?] - Song title found in now-lost Flash player elements of My Chemical Romance's official site going back to at least 5/25/2002. According to a 2011 text interview by Cassie The Venomous with Gerard and Mikey, the song was played once live at NJ's Loop Lounge to bad reactions from the band and poor fanfare and as a result shelved from future releases. Later possibly reworked into an unreleased song named "'Android...' something?". Though according to a 2004 post by SpaceyRaygun, a long-time friend of the band, Nine Volt Heart was instead reworked onto a Revenge track. Fandom rumors going back to at least 5/3/2006 claim Nine Volt Heart was a cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' song Bodies albeit with slightly different lyrics. Although the poster's source songmeanings.net has since taken down the potentially false lyrics page.
The Attic Demos aka Dreams \of/about]) Stabbing and/or Being Stabbed - A CD Distributed at early shows and among the band's circle. Later partially released on 2014's MDNSY, though these demos circulated the fandom pre-2014 from these promotional CDs.
Wish You Away aka Drowning Lessons Rough Mix - If community sources are to be believed (1) (2) (3) (4)) (5) a variant of The Attic Demos distributed among friends and family of the band contains recordings of 'Vampires Will Never Hurt You' titled "Stabbing" and 'Drowning Lessons' titled "Wish You Away" (Pre-release titles corroborated by the early instances of My Chemical Romance's website).
Stabbing aka Vampires Will Never Hurt You Demo - Found as of July 23rd, 2022. Demo released via Instagram from for Bullet's 20th anniversary. This CD was given to Nada Recording in 2002 prior to their recording of Bullets. Clip is partially cut off and downloaded through Instagram API.
Early Sunsets Over Monroeville Demo - An Attic Demo found by SpaceyRaygun with an Early Sunsets Over Monroeville recording not included on MDNSY. Included in notable bootlegs such as Self-titled MP3 Collection released 2010. ~Fake demo debunked by (Friend of Matt Pelissier) and SpaceyRaygun (The track's original source).
Sister to Sleep - One of the earliest songs written for Revenge, revealed in a 2003 interview as conceptualized for The Freddy vs. Jason Soundtrack before licensing fell through. It was re-conceptualized around The Sandman series of comics, where sleep is anthropomorphized as the titular Sandman, and his sister as Death. In its released form, the lyrics explore sleep as an analogy for death and themes of insomnia and institutionalization. Ultimately, the track was cut from release by producer Howard Benson. Two live recordings (1) (2) of this song have circulated the fandom for a number of years, with one found more recently all from the same show played in NYC's the Knitting Factory on 6/26/2003. On 10/17/2022, it was played once more in Inglewood during the RETURN Tour, albeit slightly different lyrics. Later, Frank spoke on a 2023 interview about using live footage for practice, likely explaining the difference in lyrics. In 2013 the band had stated in an interview potentially none of the members still possessed a copy of Sister to Sleep's demo recording (A claim still supported by Frank in a 2022 interview) except possibly for a soundcheck library recording Mikey was given from the Knitting Factory show. With renewed interest in the song, Matt Pelissier was asked via Twitter about the track. If community sources \1]) \2]) are to be believed, a Twitter user "Martin" asked Gerard the whereabouts and existing number of these demos, Gerard would share that they lost the only existing copy moving from coast to coast a number of years ago. Martin then asked Matt about the demos to corroborate Gerard's story, which prompted Matt to reveal more info. Matt claimed he was given an additional copy of Sister to Sleep, as were all of the band members, their studio and their label. Fans supposedly questioned his demo's legitimacy. (1) (2) (3) Matt then posted three 15 second clips of the track to his Instagram. These clips were DMCA claimed by Warner and Matt was threatened with potential legal action if he continued copyright violations. However, fans downloaded these clips before they were taken down. (1) (2) Afterwards, Matt was asked via text conversations by his Revenir bandmate u/dansplayslol11 after hearing the track if he still intended on leaking it. Matt explained that he didn't intend on releasing them being content as the apparent sole owner of the demo.
Manhattan Demos aka A-Demos - In 2013 the band had stated in an interview Sister to Sleep's studio recording existed on the "Manhattan Demos" or "A-Demos" as Ray called them that also contained demo material later released on LOTMS. Screenshots of other production tracklists around this time have also been leaked and released by several sources including Revenge producer Howard Benson. (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6)
I'm Not Okay (I Promise) Demo - A 1 minute 4 second Clip of an I'm Not Okay demo uploaded by the YouTube channel AJ Serna in 2012 which contains the line "And never mind the drugs you took" instead of Revenge's release version "The photographs your boyfriend took" with notably worse recording quality. This lyric was likely remnants from when the song served as the conclusion to the album with a spoken word outro by Daryl Palumbo \Of Glassjaw, Head Automatica] and is more in-line with) early production takes of the song.
Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge Instrumentals - Instrumental versions of all 13 original Revenge tracks can be heard as backing tracks for the duration of LOTMS. Never released as a stand-alone instrumental promotional album unlike TBP.
Someone Out There Loves You - Released as a live performance on the official TBPID DVD as Track 30 with a live video. Unofficially titled 'Stay' by fans before its official title was revealed by Gerard on Twitter. Frank revealed in an interview with The Music that the song had a studio demo but "lyrical reservations" prevented its release.
MCRBlog 09' Demos - Throughout 2009, the band would post an occasional series titled 'Practice Cam' where they'd take photos and videos of whiteboards containing song titles. Fans like Cassie the Venomous were able to decipher some of these titles, and later corroborate them with at-the-time newly released live performances. (What was initially titled 'Siren Song' as a live performance eventually released as 'AMBULANCE', ect.) However, some of these teased titles never received accompanying live material. These include:
"Still Alive" \Also detailed in) this interview.\) "Teenage Girl" "Pretty [..?]" "Monster Jam" \This could be in reference to the video game 'Monster Jam: Masters of Mayhem' of which 'I'm Not Ok)' appeared as an in-game track).\)
Hell Hath No Fury - This track was apparently credited to My Chemical Romance (1) (2) for 2012's The Man With The Iron Fists but never appeared on the movie's soundtrack. It's theorized this track midway through the film is a snippet of the track.
The Paper Kingdom - Proceeding DD's touring cycle, the My Chemical Romance began work on their 5th studio record before scrapping the album due to burnout, depression and unhealthy habits. (1) (2) Some of this material was likely posted by a user named Excalibur and sold for $10k+ on the leaked music website Leaked.cx in late September 2022. Snippets of these tracks with added auditory watermarks were provided by the leaker for legitimacy from tracks with the filenames "Dark Cloud", "Witch" and "Wake Up!". However, these clips were taken down by Warner both on leaked.cx and on other sites' reposts, likely validating the leak's legitimacy. One track recognized by Warner's automatic content ID system was entitled "Paper Swords" by My Chemical Romance.
The Foundations of Decay Sessions - According to comments by Excalibur made under leaked.cxs TPK leak, they also possessed demo sessions for the My Chemical Romance's 2022 release The Foundations of Decay. It was unclear whether these sessions were also purchased and vaulted alongside TPK's leak by the same or another buyer.

... Specific thanks to u/mj2000p, u/Tongara, u/danplayslol11, SpaceyRaygun and Party in the affiliated My Chemical Romance Discord for previous edits. To see the edits check out my original post.
Please do not harass or beg band members or those affiliated with the band for unreleased material. Archival efforts are important but many of these songs fall under copyright and/or hold great personal value. Be respectful in reaching out to potential leads.
If anyone has better sources, anything else to correct or add I'd love to add to what I have and will credit.
Thanks for all the help! <3 Happy 20 years to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge! :3
