2024.05.21 16:21 RF_WIZARD Is a 2020 Les Paul Classic for $1,350 a steal?

I have the opportunity for another trade and want the opinion of this subreddit.
I have a Fender American Standard Telecaster that I paid $900 for. One guy wants to buy it for $800. Someone a few town over wants to trade me his 2020 Les Paul Classic (the red version, with added chrome pickup covers) but I would have to add $450 bringing my total investment into the guitar to $1,350.
This feels like a pretty good price for the classic, but for some reason I recall these being in blowout sales at GC for not much more than that new. Does anyone recall that or what they sold for? Also, assuming the tele doesn’t get much use, would you add $450 for the Les Paul or eat the $100 loss as a cost of trying the tele? Is $1,350 a good deal?
Historically I haven’t been the biggest fan of playing Les Pauls but I’ve only tried ad an old faded studio and an older Les Paul Classic with the snotty green inlays (I couldn’t get over them). This one looks to be in good condition. Not the biggest fan of the solid top vs burst, but with the chrome covers it looks classy and reminds me of George Harrison’s Les Paul.
Reference Information: I play my SG w/ P90s or 335 90% of the time and the tele doesn’t get much use. I play classic rock and funk through British amps (ac30 and plexi type amps).

This post is mostly for people interested in buying, but I love a trade! If you're interested in trading see my latest post in /letstradepedals. I post there every other week, usually on Tuesday. I got non-DIY stuff in the trade post, too.
What I got for sale is hand-built stuff that I made, mostly relatively unique or heavily tweaked designs built on vero or point to point. Many are housed in upcycled tins, a few in hammond boxes. Also has a tone control, but the tone control is before the octave stages so it results in interesting behaviors depending on the switch settings. We're experiencing crashes in our MySQL server (version 8.4) on all three physical servers. These crashes started after we upgraded from MySQL 5.7 (two upgrades: first to 8.3 and then to 8.4). While the error message is now more detailed, the crashes still occur randomly, approximately once or twice a week.
Here's what we've investigated so far:**

Code Changes: We've been updating our application code for the past two months, and the query rate has decreased from 450 to 220 per second.
Hardware Issues: We've ruled out hardware problems by trying a new server node.

2024.05.21 14:41 DodgerKerfuffle Didn’t receive most of the 12 month sub mounts and was told there is nothing they can do.

Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve had the 12 month sub for some time and got all of the mounts from the last 12 month bundle. I took a break during most of dragonflight (my sub was still active) and when I came back about a month ago I noticed I only received the wavewhisker and the arborwyrm. Didn’t even get the classic mount. Put in a ticket a few days ago and was told it’s a bug and they can’t do anything to help me. I thought maybe it was timegated and you needed to redeem by a certain time but it literally says “When you purchase a 12-month Subscription Offer, you receive…” Either way it feels pretty terrible to pay $150 and get scammed out of the offer. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

The deaths of teenagers are always sad.
The question is why do the deaths of teenage Astapori, who are elite, or who belong to elite-adjacent groups like soldiers or overseers, matter so much more to parts of the fandom, than the deaths of teenage Unsullied (2/3 of whom die in training), or Uncut boys, who faced castration, prior to their liberation by Daenerys? Or deaths of teenage civilian slaves (like the children getting fed to bears, as entertainment, for example?) The latter are the victims of the former. But, for some reason the deaths of victimisers are seen as much worse than the deaths of their victims.
Slaves are about 80% of the population in the East. They are actively oppressed by the four groups that Dany targeted at Astapor; namely, the Good Masters, the tokar wearers, the soldiers, the overseers. And, some of those four groups are teenagers. if you want to free the slave majority, you have to strike their oppressors.
Just as you have teenagers working and fighting in Westeros, so you have teenagers working and fighting in Essos. Robb wants to kill 13 year old Joffrey. Arya kills a teenage squire, and a young stable boy. Enemies would kill Pod in a fight, they would kill Robb or Jon, or Daenerys herself.

I am using the midnight ride with a couple (ok alot) of add-ons that I wanted to play with.

2024.05.21 12:19 Traditional-Extent30 Preliminary thoughts on Rifleman

Hi, recently switched to a rifleman and I want to share my thoughts as well as hear your opinion on the subject if you have some experience with this build/weaponry.
For reference this is my build:

Unyielding, mainly energy weapon based.
I'm living on popcorn, purified water (used to overeaters pa), company tea and eventually canned coffee.
I do not pretend to be able to deal the same damage as a true meta build. And i accept the limit of unyielding (radiation zones/damage, some particular daily ops combo).
Still I aim to a certain degree of efficiency to deal with my way of playing.. soloing expeditions, being able to carry an event if necessary and classic endgame stuff.
I'm not interested in free aim, vats based.
My equipment is mainly based by 4+1 weapons:

"+1" being Aristocratic/Explosive/15 reload Black powder rifle, kind of meme weapon, but it perfectly fit so I like to have it on the favourite wheel for when i can just have fun without worrying about dps/time and this stuff.
Instigating/50 more critical damage (50 from so on/ 25 less action points cost (25 from so on) Enclave rifle: reflex and aligned sniper rifle.

I would prefer something like Anti Armor to be not linked to enemy life but it's fine. Enclave plasmas puck a punch in any way you build them.. strong, smooth fast reload, with severe beta capacitor the ammo capacity goes from 9 to 15. Only true issue is stealth (as all the energy weapons) and the high ap cost. But as rifleman, is sustainable.
-Bloody/50 hit chance/25 Laser rifle: I use the snappy receiver (or whatever it is) for keeping a nice rate of fire. I tried the aligned sniper barrel but.. that stuff seemed a bit crap to me, not just the reduced ammo capacity (from 30 to 9) but the fact that it doesn't seem to really compensate that with an increase on damage, on paper looks fine but using it.. no no. Probably bounded to the "charging". Switched to the other aligned long rifleman barrel

AntiArmo25% faster rate of fire/25 Ultracite Laser Rifle: that's been a freaking surprise. Laser are a bit delusional on commando, especially the Ultracite and with faster fire rate

But on a rifleman.. wow.. this weapon seems to be made for this, powerful, with a rate of fire higher than my finger can press (63 with calibrated capacitor where 63 should be the number of ammo shoot in 10 seconds). 30 ammo capacity and a decent enough reload
It's not stealth but surely my favourite weapon with this build. With the rifleman barrel it also looks really cool and well fitted.

Quad/50/25 Gauss Rifle: this is the main weapon, especially for bosses.. silent (at least in theory since it has the silencer, not used enough to say if the explosive effect break the stealth), with perforating capacitor for 40% armor penetration and a really high base damage.

I hate it aesthetically.. is higher than my character..
But it also is the weapon that most makes me wonder how it works (or to best use it). My idea, using a quad, was to not lose time charging shot, just spamming. But i don't know (if someone of you have some experience I would appreciate your thoughts) how much damage do i lose not charging shot, if it would be better to completely charge at least the crit shot.
It's also a bit buggy, going 404 and not getting you sprint, stim and reload till you either bash/fire a complete charged round or switch weapon.
It seems to be mostly a problem in first person and this bugs me since Escape Artist is smoother in fp.
Finally, the most important part.. advice me on some outfit to use.. being "free" or atom shop, whatever, if you have a good combination. Right now I'm using Bos Spec ops suit with gray knit cap and gas mask with goggles. And i genuinely like it, but maybe you know some better combinations that might fit this build.

I wanted to talk about how we moved from Magento to Shopify. We've had a Magento store since 2016 and have steadily made low seven-figure sales, but our growth has stopped. The website is slow, and lighthouse reports are in the single digits. We're a business-to-business B2B) company, so our prices and customer service keep people coming back. Our native traffic is almost nonexistent, and we get almost all of our customers through paid ads. The site has many bugs, and we don't have enough money to fix them all. Every month, we only get 40 hours of dev agency time, which is not enough. We've been planning a £20,000 Hyva update that should solve all of our problems. But here's the thing: I set up two Shopify sites for the company last year as brand sites for names we work with as UK distributors. It took these Shopify sites three months to start getting a lot of sales, and another three months to get higher page rankings and more organic traffic than our main Magento store, even though they only had product descriptions and cost a lot more. There is nothing we do in Magento that can't be done with a ready-made app in Shopify. What do you all think? Should we think about switching to Shopify?

I think all the whinning about difficulty is exaggerated.
I love playing bots, and don't mind bugs.
Difficulty 7 is the perfect balance between chill and challenge for me.
I play a lot with random and it's fine most of the time.
I noticed sometimes some guys refused to fallback when a battle is looking bad. And IMO that's the part classic players don't understand, they don't do tactics. If u get overwhelmed, just withdraw from the fight !
I think Weapon diversity is lacking because of heavy unit creating mandatory equipment not that some weapon does or doesn't have sub-par stats. Divers need an arsenal able to respond to all threats, and stratagem synergises together to answer all (frequent) threats in high level. Q

2024.05.21 10:02 Munti3 New Teams is the same as the Old Teams?

I can not for the life of me figure out what the difference between "Classic Teams" and the "New Teams"... When switching between the two, they are more or less identical as far as I can tell.
I have been bugged by the "Try the New teams" message sooo many times, because sometimes it is the old teams being opened by default... Why would Microsoft go through the struggle of having these two versions "live" at the same time, instead of just implementing a normal update to teams?

2024.05.21 09:37 Amityhuman Was sold a place that has very obvious bed bugs.

So Im going through a rough time and taking care of my disabled mom and used the last of my money to buy a mobile home. I just moved in last night and finished unpacking today. When I go to lay down I see a bed bug. I don't have bed bugs. I look around the room and realize they are just crawling on the wall. I go into the next room with a flash light and there are dead ones around the perimeter of the room but I did find a living one. I was told there were only cosmetic issues. I find it hard to believe they did not know this was a problem. I didn't look for bed bugs because I wasn't told and was told only cosmetic. I just finalized the sale on the 15th. I've contacted the investor I bought it from and hope to here from them in the morning. But is there anything I can legally do here? I'm so disgusted.
