2024.05.13 19:34 glafolle Just got evil thief removed as executrix - any advice on what to do now?
Hey, I'll try to make this as succinct as I can, but it's a little complicated. But I'm so grateful to anyone who answers. My dad died in 2018. His wife was abusive and, conveniently, the will naming someone other than her as executor disappeared after his death. So anyway, it said she got 50% and me and my sister the other 50%. My dad was a lawyer, but not very successful at the time he died. So she's gotten maybe $100k since he died. She didn't pay any of his debts, nor even the money my aunt lent her for the funeral. She just kept all the money. We've tried to get rid of her, pro se, a few times, with no luck...BUT. My sister and I went to the Register of Wills - my dad lived in Delaware - and saw all these bank statements Linda stupidly filed. Proving she had used estate money for things like casino visits, nail salons, pizza, etc. So, when she filed her accounting, we filed exceptions, mentioning, among other things, her commingling/misappropriating. Along with the debts she didn't pay. Of course she tried to make excuses.. But the judge didn't buy it and removed her. Finally. But.. The money is gone, I'm sure.
So here are my questions. 1. Is there any way to hold her criminally responsible for using estate funds for personal things? I mean, that's illegal! The judge even mentioned how she ADMITTED she did so! Or for stealing our half of the estate money? That was rightfully ours, she took it, it's gone! It's just infuriating that my sister and I both work multiple jobs so we can't afford lawyers, we did this all ourselves, yet Linda used estate money to pay lawyers, to pay an "estate assistant", but now that we got rid of her, it's a hollow victory. We want her to actually have to pay for what she did. She owns a shore house, free and clear.. Can't she be forced to sell it to pay back what she took? Or the multiple cars she has? Or at least can't we file criminal charges?
- Is it super complicated for me to file to be the new executrix of the estate? I don't even know how I'm gonna pay my dad's few debts, being as there's not really any new money coming in since the cases are all closed now and she's spent what did come in... But I do not want, like, my dad's wife's son to go applying to be the new executor or something. I want to be the person in control.

2024.05.12 03:28 Federal_Community437 Does my coworker who I helped get hired think I like him?
So it all started before he worked at taco bell. I messed up his order. When he came in the first time ordering a 12 taco party pack. And it ended up being where the 600 lb cook in the back and ended up eating all the tacos. Because there were 12 tacos that were basically unaccounted for. Because I put in the wrong order. I believe or it was the wrong type of taco or something along those lines so he ended up eating them basically. He came in with his cousin. But it appeared like he came in with his husband. And kids. They have lots of kids. Because he has kids and his cousin has kids. So they look like two husbands with lots of kids. My mother had to clock herself out and break out. Because she doesn't serve people who are gay and married with children. She will have a whole fit. Tell them that they're living a whole fantasy and that they're not real and all this nonsense. So it is best for her to just take a seat. Which is why I took their order. And that's their order of accidentally.
After that. I specifically saw him at the pizza parlor. Where he was working at the primm casino. And he was very knowledgeable about the pizzas. Very helpful. And so forth very accommodating pretty much a very good service individual.
A few days later. I saw that he had tried to turn in his application at my job. This was a day when we had two of the co-workers specifically very high out of their minds. At least the two co-workers in charge that day. Because on Fridays there were only two people in charge. A shift lead and a guy who kind of like in waiting. during the that Christmas season DeJean was always high off of his rockers. everyday he came in his eyes were shut and he was slurring his words. and Sam was a heroin addict. so I think him being high everyday like he was. was supposedly on his best behavior. because it was marijuana supposedly. instead of heroin or crack. and these people both ended up cursing out the customers screaming at them to leave the store. and cursing out other co-workers as well. so it was no use in asking them for help basically. yeah that day they were both high out of their minds. And very busy. So I felt like the application was not going to go anywhere anyway. Besides probably in the trash. I tried to put it in the office where Nik could see it. But I don't even know if he ended up being able to see his application.
Anyway what ended up happening was in this city we all lived in the same apartment complex. So I saw him I think two more times and then he came into the store two more times. And one of the times I saw him in person at the apartment complex. I specifically show them when the general manager would be available. And literally set up a time for him. After I had talked to the general manager and told him that I was getting this guy Tyler to him for him to interview.
The reason I tried for him. Was specifically because the prim casino was closing. Meaning that the employees probably didn't have any choice there. And considering he had all those kids so I believed and considering that at that place that apartment complex you have to have a job. In order to stay there. It seemed like it was important for him to get the job. That was my reason. On top of the fact that at the pizza parlor he was a good worker. It ain't nothing to do with me at all liking them in that way. I never liked him. It was just specifically that I felt like well he got kids he's in this apartment complex. That will be evicted in 72 hours if he doesn't have a job pretty soon. and he was a good worker from what I could tell.
After the interview though my general manager Nik try to imply that I must like him or something. Because why that did I try to push for him to get hired. When it was simply because he was a hard worker from what I could tell and he had kids. From what I could tell. And he was at a job that was going to end soon. Meaning at in the private apartments you have to have a job. They will evict you in like 72 hours. Who wants to see kids being evicted in 72 hours for not having a job. Like realistically to me I didn't want to see that. Considering they were my next door neighbors anyway.
Anyway I ended up quitting. I quit the job. Because it was in the middle of my whole situation where I spent 18 days. Working Day today. And people like my general manager were yelling at me and telling me how terrible I was for missing an hour of work. I ended up putting a quit letter in. And that went sour. Because I put it in speaking pretty crass. Because I was like hey it's over. I can just talk like a regular person. So I started talking about stuff. But I wasn't specifically cursing anyone out. I was specifically like saying what I did for a living outside of this job. Which is in the phone sex industry basically. And saying something about my give a damn is busted. Things of that nature. Which ended up where the message got taken out. And said it was an offensive message. So everybody thought I was cursing them out. Which was the side issue. I remember being a little sad about quitting because I wanted to work with him and I thought he would be fun to work with. And also being like oh well you know I'm quitting but I got you a good one. Kind of thing.
Well I got rehired. A couple months later. During the summer. And I've worked there since. For a year. Never been times where the coworker I tried to get hired Tyler acts like Oddish. He says he's autistic so maybe that's it? For example I was just trying to talk about my ex who was a prostitute. And he got all uncomfortable. But the problem with that situation was I specifically had just talked to Angela and Victor about the same thing. Telling them about how massage therapists are really prostitutes. And how my ex was really a prostitute all that time and I had no clue about it. And how my roommate just let me in on knowing that massage therapist basically means a prostitute.
And like another time I was specifically just saying I didn't like anyone I was working with at the time. And then they got all fussy. When I tripped accidentally said that I did but I wasn't meaning him or angelee I was meaning Lucas who I wasn't working with. After that he started acting oddly too.
For example I had to run late yesterday so I had to take an Uber. On the right there. I took a photo and I was surprised because one of my eyes turned yellow. And I was like what the heck. My eyes are black. So how are my eyes yellow in the photo. Because of the lighting. Flash right on my eye. With the sun flashing in the way it did. It was like a direct lighting. But it was like a strip of light that basically hit my eye. So then that let me to download a color detector and a color picker. Just to determine the color I was looking at. So then what colors came up were fawn tan and camel. I look up these colors. And it says yellow. And then I look up fawn colored eyes. And it literally says hazel. So then I'm confused. Ask you why I have hazel eyes in the sun. In direct strip lighting but I got black eyes every other time. And every other normal lighting. So when I get to work. I basically ask my coworkers. Because all my coworkers have black eyes too. If they also get yellow eyes when they look at the sun. And pretty much it seemed like nobody really agreed with that. And people seem like they're uncomfortable and angry because I asked that question.
He specifically acted like I was somehow doing something or making him uncomfortable especially when I showed him the photo. Very odd because I wasn't trying to say they were pretty. Or anything along those lines. This was the day I didn't straighten my har. I let my hair just stay like stick stuck up weird. Because I didn't have enough time to get ready for work. The photo was taken completely makeupless I mean I washed my face. And put some sunscreen on. That's all I did. And I had hair all over my uniform. This wasn't a flattering photo.and I wasn't trying to imply anything about my eyes. Especially since normally they're black. So I wasn't trying to say they were pretty either. It was just me looking at my picture and being like is this actually brown or is it Amber or Hazel or what the heck is it? That was my question. I only have my pair of eyes. I don't have anyone else's to see if the lighting is different on other Brown eyes. Am I like the one with yellow tint in my eyes. When bright sunlight hits it. Is that a sign of not being actually brown-eyed. Or what? Like that was my question. But he seemed to take it completely differently. I ended up talking to Justin about it. Who explained to me that he had brown eyes all his life and then he found out that he had green eyes when he looked into the sunlight. And that it was a normal occurrence for people with very dark eye color of different colors than brown. Basically. He did not seem like that was a weird question or that was wrong for me to bring this up. To him. So I don't get why the other guy seem to react a little negatively to me but he's done that before with other conversations on other things which is just weird to me.
Personally for me. When it comes to men I like I would never ask that question as I've said before I tried telling Lucas to make me a bacon grilled cheese burrito got stuck in mid sentence and had to go on the intercom to ask Sidney to tell him. I don't talk to people I'm attracted to about simple things I actually need. I stuttered and if I'm friendly I'm whining mostly. No way I'd be talking about my eye color to anyone I was attracted to. I don't even like to look people in the eyes. If I am attracted to them. So I would not be talking about my eyes at all. Because a part of me feels like if they look in my eyes. They'll realize I like/want them so yeah the last thing I'd be talking about is my eyes.
Even thinking back to a past coworker sam who I mildly was odd and about a coworker misty who didn't like to work her job. Barely came into work. And all I ever saw of her was on the crew app. And she had some blue eye contacts in. So then the first time I finally saw her. She didn't have her eye contacts in and I was confused how she was the same person because she didn't have blue eyes anymore. This was in front of a guy I was sorta fond of ever so VERY mildly. And Sam kept trying to tell me to look at his eyes and how they were green or whatever and I wouldn't look/completely ignored him. So even if I have to talk about someone's eye color I still won't reference or look or talk at a person's eye color or talk about it with a person I'm even mildly attracted to. Even if the topic was someone else's eye color I won't talk about it with someone I'm attracted to even if it's mildly.
What is weird he acts uncomfortable about conversations that I've had with other people. Who don't take it that way. Which is why it leads me to think maybe he still thinks that I like him in some way because of how he got here in the first place? I've tried to mention this like a couple times. To different coworkers. That I didn't. Like him. Specifically to just put that out there.
Most of my coworkers know that I only like men who are white. Specifically. And he's not white. Also a lot of other things but I'm not going to pick apart a person.
Anyway if he does think this how do I correct it? Because he acts uncomfortable with many conversations I have just fine with other people.

2024.05.11 10:20 MaffYootube 2 Years and 2 Months Without Gambling
Hello folks,
It's certainly been a while, I'm not even sure when my last post was. I've scanned the posts this morning and seen an awful lot of people still in those early days and my heart aches for you all. I can sympathise so much with your struggles and I am by no means an expert on recovery. I just wanted to take this opportunity to share a handful of things that have helped me on my journey.
1) I cannot stress this enough, tell somebody about your struggles.
Whether that's a partner, a parent, a doctor, a work colleague, a phone line, anyone. Just shine a light on what you're going through and make it known. This was the biggest moment in recovery, I told my partner and it was the best decision I ever made. Some of you out there may be able to weather the storm alone and hats off to you, but for the majority it is impossible to stop when your brain is so good at convincing you that it's okay to buy another scratch card or play another slot. Reach out.
2) Surrender your finances to a trusted individual.
Now this is a tricky one as sadly we don't all have a trusted individual in our lives. If you do, then great, set up a direct debit for any income/wages etc to go to their bank instead each month and if you have any money leftover at the moment, get that sent over.....today! This doesn't have to be permanent, but whilst you adjust to a life without gambling, you need to brute force your approach and make it almost impossible to engage with slots/tickets/whatever your vice is.
If you don't have a trusted individual, speak to your bank, let them know about your addiction and they can incorporate blocks to known gambling outlets or transactions. Now this option isn't as bulletproof, but they will also be able to put you in contact with further services for additional support.
3) Sign-up to GAMSTOP.
GAMSTOP is fantastic. Nothing short of commiting fraud can get around it and it's been a blessing in moments where I've tried to revisit my old online casinos. It's the friend you need in these early days and it won't give in. It'll block you from any and all (legal) gambling outlets online and I've personally set it so that I'll never be able to gamble online again, it takes a matter of minutes to sign-up and could change your life.
4) Find a new Hobby
Gambling - for me at least - occupied such a large part of my day, I could lose hours and hours to slots. Once you take that away it can leave you feeling a little lost. Use this opportunity (and newfound spare income) to pick up a hobby. For me I started to learn the guitar, I started reading more and growing my own vegetables. I started going on hikes and small city breaks. At first this acts as a distraction and it's a necessary one. But eventually it will become your new way of life, soon you will stop looking for rewards in bonus rounds and jackpots and find them in knowledge, nature and progression of skills. It's a switch that flicks one day and becomes oh so more rewarding.
5) Bonus Tip
This is a piece of advice I don't see as often but it's a beautiful thing. Once I'd experienced it, it changed my perspective on the wasteful money pumped into gambling.
And that tip is,
Treat Somebody
Now this can be a bunch of flowers for your mum, a chocolate bar for a colleague, a hot meal for a person struggling on the street. It can be a cosy hoodie for your partner. This doesn't have to be a large expense.
This tip first came to mind when I was in the early days of recovery, I'd bought some flowers for £5 on the way to my partner's, it was a warm sunny day and I'll never forget the way her eyes lit up when she opened the door and spied the flowers. In that moment I realised £5 brought both herself and I more joy than the thousands I'd thrown into slots chasing what I thought was happiness.
Every now and then I'll repeat this and it always achieves the same result. A hot chocolate at the winter markets, a cocktail on the beach, a new book for her when she's feeling sick. I used to spend £100 per spin in my deepest moments of addiction, now I can make someone I love 100x happier for the cost of a frozen supermarket pizza, it's astounding when you realise.
Conclusion
I hope this was of some help to anyone and if you read this far then I appreciate you taking the time out of your day. The journey you are on is a tough one. It requires a lot of strength and self love. Gambling is the devil, it was designed to take everything you've got and unfortunately it has done that to millions, myself included.
But there is hope, shine a light on that devil, shame it, reach out, share and live. Start small even today. If you're not facing serious debt, buy a book, a movie ticket, a bus fare to a local park. Savour that moment and realise that you can achieve true happiness for so much less than the waste that you're currently enduring.
Good luck out there. You've got this!

2024.05.11 05:32 OmNomNom318 I have been tasked with coming up with a spicy challenge for work!
As the title says, my work has some “spicy” wings that are rather disappointing and I have experienced this to the person over the food and beverage department. They know that I am a pepper head, that I do spicy challenges all over town and have a nice selection of hot sauces.
So, she I brought it up to me again, she told me that I can brainstorm with the manager of this one restaurant and we can come up with our own spicy challenge.
But here is the thing, I feel like everyone does spicy wings. So I would like to do something different than that. For reference, this is a sports bar themed restaurant though.
Maybe a spicy burger? A spicy chicken fried steak? (We are in the south) what are your thoughts? Spicy Mac n cheese, spicy pasta. They do have a brick oven and make pizza with it….. BWW use to make a flat bread pizza and I would add the mango habanero sauce to it all the time. Maybe we could find a sauce comparable to the blazing and make a spicy pizza?
Keep in mind we would need to be able to buy the sauce in bulk.
Edit: We may be limited on what we can buy. We are a casino and can only buy from approved, vetted vendors. So that may limit on who we can buy from unfortunately. Ideally I would love to buy from local people but they would have to go through the State approval/vetting process first and that is expensive and time consuming. Some people aren’t willing to do that and also, some people have religious reasons on why they don’t want to do business with casinos.

2024.05.10 15:43 boutell New US and Canadian CHAdeMO chargers in April 2024
Welcome to the March new chargers report, fellow Chadoomers!
Almost all of you are my fellow Leaf owners, hoping for just one new chargepoint on your favorite route, before the great dwarven CHAdeMO forges beneath the earth go cold for all time. Here's an update.
Here are all of the new US and Canadian CHAdeMO (Leaf fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April, according to the Alternative Fuels Data Center. You can
fetch the data yourself here. Feel free to report inaccuracies to the AFDC.
For comparison's sake: in the US, there were 200 "new" (or updated) CHAdeMO stations added in March, with at least 200 chargepoints. To put it in perspective, there were 102 new or updated US stations in April of 2023. This month's report is surprisingly strong, given how late we are in CHAdeMO's lifecycle. It is unclear if this is due to a large number of refreshed stations, or a large rollout of new stations that happen to include at least one CHAdeMO chargepoint, but it may be the latter thanks to Inflation Reduction Act funding. In any case, it is good news for those of us with legacy vehicles.
Keep in mind that even EVGo has started to roll out stations where only some of the bays support CHAdeMO. This makes sense given that only Nissan still sells a CHAdeMO pure-battery-electric car in the US, and the newer Nissan Ariya model is CCS.
The Mitsubishi Plug-In Hybrid Outlander PHEV also supports CHAdeMO. Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or reading these monthly reports is just frustrating in your state, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications only when new stations actually open. You can
sign up at evpov.com. I built it to help EV owners like myself (especially my fellow Leaf owners). You can pick other plug types as well.
To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first.
Some stations may actually have more CHAdeMO chargepoints than reported here, but most won't, because even EVGo has started to reduce the number of CHAdeMO chargepoints per station. So in the case of CHAdeMO I make a pessimistic assumption to avoid creating unrealistic expectations.
Even so, for actual trip planning I recommend using PlugShare. This report is mainly useful to understand trends.

2024.05.10 15:33 boutell New US and Canadian CCS chargers in April 2024
Here are all (*) of the new US and Canadian CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April 2024, according to the Department of Energy. You can
get the data yourself here.
These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
- Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
- Leaf owners like me, owners of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive such a car, see my matching post in leaf.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 330 CCS charging stations with a total of 682 chargepoints added or refreshed in April 2024, which is a major uptick in both stations and chargepoints. There were only 166 new CCS charging stations in April 2023, with only 267 chargepoints. Things are trending dramatically upwards.
Some part of this is due to Tesla Magic Dock stations. Previously Tesla didn't report these to the AFDC as CCS, but now they do. And that makes sense because all CCS drivers can use them.
NOTE: most Tesla Superchargers do NOT have magic dock as of this writing (all those shown in this report should have it). I recommend using PlugShare to locate compatible stations for your vehicle.
(*) "What about other Tesla Superchargers? Can't everybody charge with NACS now?" It's coming for many makes and models, and for newer Ford models as well as a few other manufacturers charging at v3 and v4 Superchargers is already an option with a free adapter from the automakers. GM should release their adapter in the coming weeks. But since they are not open to
all CCS vehicles, this report is not the place for them. Tesla's app provides the best guide to their locations, including locations that work with non-Tesla vehicles.
Other Notes To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first.
For serious trip planning, I recommend PlugShare. But by all means check out these reported new locations and submit reviews on PlugShare, which makes things better for everyone.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or just prefer not to check this list monthly when new openings are rare in your area, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications as soon as they open. You can
sign up at evpov.com. Or not! I don't really have a business plan here, I built it to help EV owners like myself. PlugShare has a similar feature.

2024.05.09 17:18 deegquest How To: Fun & Affordable Day at CBP
Here are some tips on how to have a fun and affordable trip to Citizen’s Bank Park – from one baseball fan to the next. Or in other words, from someone who does not profit from your experience at CBP.
YMMV – please share your tips as well.
Food & Concessions: —————- - Bring your own food. Rolling through the gates with a hoagie in hand is the ultimate veteran move. Basically all food is acceptable – I’ve rolled in with anything from falafel over rice, to Tony & Nicks. I’ve seen large quantities of Primo Hoagies in boxes going through.
- Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages, in unopened plastic containers. I’ve seen two liters of Diet Coke, quarts of iced tea, liters of water. If you pay $10 for a water at the park, it’s because you didn’t prepare.
- The stadium offers a “Designated Driver Coupon”. You submit some personal details and are granted like $7 in concession credit. This appears as an online ticket in your MLB account. It claims to be for “A Regular Sized Soda” but confirmed it works on anything (except probably booze, idk). Yes, $2 ice cream helmets unlocked, just google it.
Weather: ————- - Check the weather before the game and prepare for slightly worse than you think. If it might rain, prepare for rain. If it’s 55 degrees out, prepare for it to feel like 45, etc.
- If it’s in the 50s and breezy, you will be cold – feel free to bring a blanket.
- The sun… holy smokes. Next to costs, it’s the second biggest enemy of park goers. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. If you forget screen, I do believe they have some stations inside the park. Guest services or one of our friendly redditors may know definitively.
- For evening games - the Sun sets behind the 3rd base foul pole. If you want protection from the sun in the evenings, tickets on the visito3rd base side are pleasant. Sunglasses for first base side, always.
- For Day games – there is no reprieve from sun except for the first 10 rows in the 100 levels and the 200 level. These shaded seats also provide shelter during rainy games.
- BYO Poncho/Rain coat. They don’t play in heavy rain, but there’s something nice about staying dry while they keep playing and everyone else is headed for cover.
Seating/Tickets: ————- - See notes about implications of first/third base line above and covered seating.
- Row 1 is not the first row of all sections, particularly in the foul parts of left and right field.
- The Phanatic goes to specific parts of the park during parts of the game. For example, every 7th inning he will go to section 117 to be behind the home dugout. Ask an usher for details if you have a kid who’s fascinated.
- My big body against a stranger’s big body, in 85 degrees heat feels like you’re in a pizza oven. The seats aren’t huge. You can use the Section Map of the ballpark to determine which seats are on the aisle.
- For small parties, it’s often best to get day of tickets [regular season only]
- There are a ton of home games. If budget is one of your biggest concerns, target weeknight games. Often, you can score great priced tickets on weeknight iffy weather days.
- For day of tickets for those that are less price sensitive, look at the secondary market websites and sort by” Best Seat”, scroll down and look for low price ticket anomalies.
- If a game is definitely going to get rained out, tickets will flood the resale market. Buy some. It will either get rescheduled within the next couple days, or the Phillies will give you a credit to another game of your choice. This is a good way to get extremely low priced tickets.
Getting There/Parking: ———- - Highly, highly recommend taking public transport, or your feet.
- If you are on the east side of Broad, walking down 10th is extremely pleasant.
- Paid, stadium sanctioned parking should be used by those that tailgate or have accessibility considerations. If utilized, leave early or anticipate a lengthy wait.
- There are many ‘free’ parking options all around the stadium, if you’re willing to walk a bit. I’m not blowing up anyone’s spots here, but if you look at a map there are some pretty good options both north and west.
- You should have more concerns of violence and belligerence within the ballpark than concerns with the neighboring areas (particularly immediately around game times). But, of course leave valuables out of sight in locked cars.
-Check events at local venues – Lincoln Financial Stadium and Wells Fargo Center. If there are parallel events, parking is extra problematic. You should reconsider public transit options.
- Ride Share – Don’t get dropped off or picked up right at the stadium. It will be faster and cheaper to avoid this. Walk just north of the casino and you’re out the congestion.
Bag Policy & Other BS: ————- - See food/drink policy. Please, bring your own food.
- Bag Policy requires a clear bag, or fanny pack. No purses or backpacks are allowed, except if they’re deemed to be “diaper bags” or of medical necessity. Sooo many people must make the long walk back to their car to drop off their purse. Don’t let this be you.
- The gates are a huge bottleneck. Just walk quickly through the gates upon entrance. They have a seamless security scanning process and personnel will let you know if you need to open bags, or go through additional screening. Otherwise, walk straight to the ticket scanners.
- Drinking… Please enjoy yourself. There’s nothing more refreshing than a frosty one - particularly as you’re in a pizza oven with another steamy fella. Beers are prohibitively expensive, you’d think; however, nearly all shenanigans are borne in drunkenness. Be mindful of the families and friends around you.
Personal Hot Takes: ———— - Don’t complain about concession prices. They make it easy for you to bring your own supply.
- Haribo Goldbears are a top notch baseball treat, my BYO of choice
- Aramark sucks at delivering quality concessions, but most of the employees are friendly if you give them a smile and are patient.
- If there’s a long line for the bathroom, and you walk in through the exit, I hope you get what’s coming for you.
- Booing your own team is lame, especially if you don’t slug out the season with them
- It’s okay to cheer for good baseball by the opposing team
- Balls thrown by players into the stands should be given to children. Balls caught from play are fair game, you may keep it for your efforts.
- If you have long hair, check that it’s not going into the drinks of the people behind you.
- Embrace the sweat during the summer and enjoy the shower that’s looming
- Have a good time at CBP. Show others, including opposing fans, a good time.
Cheers!

2024.05.04 19:07 LineChatter Trip Report: Pizza in Vegas
I love pizza so I'm making my rounds to the pizza shops each trip.
Pizza Rock - Located Downtown next to Fremont. Nice sit-down place with good atmosphere. Regular slice pies and Sicilian. I got the Sicilian. Really great flavor overall with a lite sauce taste and great crust that's a fusion of cheese, dough, and oil. $12.19 for a slice and a drink. Parking validated at the D garage across the street.
Good Pie - Nestled between downtown and The Strip. Really nice vibe overall with tables and a bar. You can buy slice or whole pizzas. Got the roni slice and a drink for $14.03. Free street parking, didn't have any trouble getting a spot during the day.
Metro Pizza - I went to Ellis Island for this, behind the Horseshoe. Pretty good regular slice at a cheap price. Easily the cheapest price with a slice and a soda coming in at $6.23. It's a food station in the casino so there's no sit down areas. I ate at one of the machines. Free parking.
I tried going to Miami Slice but I was there about an hour before they opened and couldn't wait.
Past Trips:
Evel Pie - One of the best located a short walk from Freemont St. I got the regular pepperoni slice for the first time but their pesto and white pizzas look amazing. Parking is off-site. Can't remember the price but it was reasonable.
Naked City Pizza - Ate here a while ago. Check out DDD if you want to see their pies. Sicilian type pizza and really hearty. I also got the suicide (spicy) fries. It's in a dive bar and you wouldn't expect it unless you were looking for it.

2024.05.04 04:06 Think-piece1011 Relationship smooth then rocky.
IM SO SORRY THIS IS A LONG POST. Im not sure where to start. Im 25F, my partner is 28M. We have been together 3.5 years now. We have a 2 year old and I am currently 21 weeks pregnant. We have talked marriage, buying a house and everything in between. But we have small issues that will get fixed then theres other ones. Most recently, we had a guest over. They peed on the toilet seat. My partner asked me to clean it and I’m like why am I being asked to clean it? Just do it. So lately whenever I asked for anything he would say he isn’t doing anything for me until the toilet is cleaned. Now, I ended up cleaning the toilet on my own time. Next, the water streaks from being wiped were left on the toilet so he is saying its still not clean. Im annoyed and think he should do it himself.
Next scenario: He has been working about 14 hours for 2 weeks straight. Since I’m pregnant its hard on my back to do the bath routine for our toddler but I sucked it up since I know he is working hard and we are saving to buy a house. But when he gets home, I would expect him to be ready and willing to help. Instead, now that work is slow again, he asked to go to the casino with a friend and I said yes that’s fine. As long as you can do the bath routine and he said no problem. Fast forward, he ends up doing the bath and literally putting the baby (2 year old) on the bed for me to finish up because he needs to finish getting ready, but that was not a part of what we agreed on. So I start crying because I really need a break. Then he calls me later while he is out to tell me what silly things his friends are doing and I’m just bland because I’m still upset. He saw nothing wrong with this.
Next scenario is today. I told him earlier today that I was upset with him because of last night. Then he says we will order pizza and watch a movie tonight. I’m like okay cool then when he gets home he is saying no he’s not ordering the pizza because he isn’t hungry and I didn’t clean the toilet.. he told me not to ask for anything until I clean the toilet. Mind you, i’m waiting for him to get home for the pizza be because its dinner time. So i take my purse and leave the house after asking if he wanted to go to a restaurant he said no so I left and had a solo peaceful dinner date. He has the NERVE to ask me if i can bring him food. Sir, you are so rude and nasty to me. So I basically just didn’t respond to the text. I don’t understand what I am dealing with. Then today he said he doesnt care about our relationship.
LITERALLY, anytime I bring up an issue, it comes to him not caring about our relationship. Im constantly trying. Holding down the house while he works, making sure dinner is cooked and kitchen gets cleaned. Trying to spend time with him and not complain that its not a lot. Mind you, there is no sex happening and I have been asking for it. I feel like I’m doing everything I can but anytime I have an issue its legit ignored its insane. Idk what to do.

2024.05.01 06:20 cmdwedge75 My 'what to do in Melbourne' email from 2006
Foreword: I moved away from Melbourne in 2001. Had a workmate visiting Melbs for the first time, so I asked my sister to help write a list of things to do/drink/eat, in 2006. Obviously some of these places no longer exist, but they're included in the list for completeness and nostalgia. Enjoy!
Email:
Here are some things to check out in beautiful Melbourne. You'll love it. They're tried and tested by yours truly or my sister, who basically lives in the city.
Breakfasts European (went here for breakfast on my wedding day! Egg Bene to die for. So ridiculously awesome, can be hard to get a table but be patient) -
http://www.theeuropean.com.au/ Degraves Espresso (epic coffee. It doesn't get much better) -
http://www.miettas.com.au/Australia/Victoria/Melbourne/Degraves_Espresso_Bar.html Lunches Bimbo Deluxe, Brunswick Street - (woodoven pizza/beer. Quite bohemian). -
http://www.bimbodeluxe.com.au/bimbo.html Vegie Bar, Brunswick Street -
http://www.vegiebar.com.au/ Soul Mama, St Kilda Sea Baths, Jacka Boulevard, St Kilda (will convert you from carnivore to vegetarian.. truly amazing) -
http://www.soulmama.com.au/ Stalactites, corner Lonsdale St and Russell St (best souvlaki in Melbourne, bar none, except maybe Lamb on Chapel. For a lunch on the run, this place is perfect) -
http://www.stalactites.com.au/ Dinners Pellegrini's (simply the greatest Italian pasta bar in Melbourne. Been there since ever, I go as often as possible. You will LOVE it) -
http://www.miettas.com.au/Australia/Victoria/Melbourne/PellegriniS.html Bluefire Grill, Docklands. (if you're up for some amazing meats, this is the place) -
http://www.bluefiregrill.com.au/ Blue Train Cafe (my old hangout in Melbourne. Good prices, lots of different dishes, good mix of artists and suits, just relaxed and awesome) -
http://www.dimaeats.com/bluetrain/index.html Grossi Florentino, Bourke Street. (Is a bit $$$ if you dine in the main restaurant but the food in the cellar bar is also excellent and a lot more affordable. Italian.) -
http://www.grossiflorentino.com/ Snacks, coffee. Little Cupcakes (amazing cupcakes, the best you will ever taste) -
http://www.littlecupcakes.com.au/ Degraves Espresso (possibly the best coffee in Melbourne) -
http://www.miettas.com.au/Australia/Victoria/Melbourne/Degraves_Espresso_Bar.html Monarch's Cakes, Acland Street, St Kilda - Chocolate Kugelhoupf! (Acland St, and St Kilda for that matter, are just awesome. You will love Acland St though, go!) -
http://www.monarchcakes.com.au/ Drink, kick-back Cherry Bar - ACDC Lane (Melbourne rock awesome) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_Bar The Melbourne Supper Club (I can't imagine there being a better wine bar in Australia. In fact, it was rated #9 in the world. I've rocked up in a Brumbies jersey, been seated, and treated like a millionaire. Pretentious decor with amazingly awesome down-to-earth friendly staff. If you don't know what something is, or what to try, ask! They're just wonderful) -
http://www.theage.com.au/news/bar-reviews/the-melbourne-supper-club/2006/04/03/1143916451849.html Shopping Australia on Collins -
http://www.australiaoncollins.com.au/ Melbourne Central (please go here, it's really great) -
http://www.melbournecentral.com.au/ Chadstone via free shuttle (largest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere. You will need at least 4 hours to walk around) -
http://www.chadstoneshopping.com.au/home/ Royal Arcade (dates from the 1800's, beautiful) -
http://www.royalarcade.com.au/ The Block Arcade (again, dates from the 1800's, wonderful architecture) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Block_Arcade,_Melbourne Chapel Street (pretty bloody snobby but ever so cool) -
http://www.chapelstreet.com.au/ Culture and fun Crown Casino complex (an affront to good taste, but still) -
http://www.crowncasino.com.au/ Flinders Lane and Degraves St (for the quintessential Melbourne laneway vibe) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degraves_Street,_Melbourne Federation Square and Centre for the Moving Image (just an excellent place to look around. Flinders St Station's famous 'clocks' are across the road) -
http://www.federationsquare.com.au/ Brunswick St (ludicrously bohemian and awesome, great cafe culture) -
http://www.brunswickstreet.com.au/ Lygon St - Also Melbourne museum and IMAX is in this area. Nicholson Street, Carlton (Little Italy, loads of Italian cafes and restaurants, great vibe) -
