2024.05.21 03:01 mu_cat Books that are better read outside
The weather is warming up and getting sunnier, which means it's time to start toting far too many books around with me to various parks, beaches. and hikes. In that vein, what are books that are, in your opinion, bettewould be better read outside? Genre or length matter less in this case than vibes. The first book that comes to mind for me is probably Bradbury's Dandelion Wine... or any horrogothic novel set in summer.

2024.05.20 15:00 hot_and_chill Help find the bag/brand
Hi all!
A few months or maybe a year ago I was on one of the websites like Nordstrom, Saks fifth or Neiman Marcus (it has to be either one of those or similar) during their sale. I came across a beautiful bright orange crochet/marcame tote bag but the threads were shiny/silky and I remember it came in bright colors like Fuschia as well. It was also very well made - had some tassels but overall looked a very clean design.
For the past 3 days I have searched all those websites and unable to find such a bag. All the crochet bags on these websites look unstructured and that bag was very much upright, almost like a beach bag.
I remember going to the page of the brand and reading about something like sourced from somewhere like South America or the Caribbean (could be wrong) and handmade etc but cannot remember any details whatsoever.
It was also around $350 after sale. I am so mad at myself for not pinning when I see something nice.
This is my last resort, if no one can help me here then I’ll conclude my search.
Thanks all in advance!!!

2024.05.20 12:24 Revolutionary-Sky758 Top 10 Ideas for Amazing Summer Holidays
Sun's out, exams are over (hopefully!), and it's finally time for some epic summer adventures! As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, it’s time to embrace the magic of summer. But with wallets feeling lighter than a textbook on a breezy day, how do you make the most of your break without breaking the bank? Fear not, fellow students, because this list is bursting with budget-friendly and unforgettable summer holiday ideas!
1. The Great Escape: National Park Camping Extravaganza
Nature lovers, this one's for you! Grab your besties, pack some tents, and head to a national park for a camping adventure. National parks often offer student discounts, and the price tag can't be beat for stunning scenery, epic hikes, and campfire stories under a blanket of stars. Plus, you can explore hidden waterfalls, go for a refreshing swim in a lake, or try your hand at stargazing – all for free!
Pro Tip: Pack light, invest in a good sleeping bag (borrowing from a friend works too!), and research free campsites or campgrounds with student discounts.
2. Hit the Road: The Ultimate Summer Road Trip
Feeling adventurous? Round up your squad, pile into a friend's car (gas money splits are a lifesaver!), and embark on a road trip! Explore charming small towns, discover hidden roadside attractions (think: giant roadside dinosaurs!), and create memories that'll last a lifetime. Blast your favorite tunes, sing along at the top of your lungs (because who's judging on the open road?), and stop for spontaneous detours at quirky roadside cafes and scenic overlooks.
Pro Tip: Plan your route beforehand, keeping gas prices and free camping spots in mind. Pack snacks and drinks to avoid expensive rest stop purchases, and download offline maps and playlists to avoid data charges.
3. The Urban Adventure: Explore a New City on Foot
Craving a city break but on a shoestring budget? Many cities offer free walking tours that take you past iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Pack comfy shoes, a refillable water bottle, and an adventurous spirit! Explore museums with free admission days, pack a picnic lunch to enjoy in a beautiful park, and soak up the city's atmosphere.
Pro Tip: Research the city beforehand to find free events, festivals, or open-air concerts. Many museums have free entry days or evenings – keep an eye out for student discounts!
4. Embrace Your Inner Foodie: Volunteer at a Food Festival
Foodies, unite! Volunteering at a local food festival is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in culinary delights and contribute to a fun community event. You'll get to meet new people, try mouthwatering dishes from around the world, and potentially even score some free food samples (volunteers gotta eat too, right?).
Pro Tip: Look for festivals with volunteer opportunities online or reach out to local organizers directly. Most festivals offer perks for volunteers, like free meals or festival passes.
5. Unleash Your Creativity: Take a Free Online Course
Sure, summer is for fun, but it's also a great opportunity to learn something new! There are tons of free online courses on platforms like Coursera or EdX. Learn a new language, explore coding basics, delve into photography – the possibilities are endless! Not only will you gain valuable skills, but you can also add these certifications to your resume to impress potential employers or future grad schools.
Pro Tip: Choose a course that aligns with your interests or career aspirations. Set aside dedicated study time each day to stay on track and motivated.
6. Channel Your Inner Artist: DIY Craft & Sell Bonanza
Calling all crafty students! Unleash your inner artist and create unique jewelry, hand-painted tote bags, or cool upcycled clothes. Host a garage sale or sell your creations online through platforms like Etsy. Not only will you have a blast expressing your creativity, but you could also score some extra cash for next semester's textbooks.
Pro Tip: Research popular trends and tailor your creations accordingly. Take high-quality photos of your items and create catchy descriptions for online marketplaces.
7. Dive into History: Volunteer at a Local Museum or Historical Site
History buffs, listen up! Volunteering at a museum or historical site is a rewarding way to spend your summer. You'll learn fascinating facts from experienced staff, get behind-the-scenes access to exhibits, and contribute to preserving historical treasures.
Pro Tip: Contact your local museum or historical society to explore volunteer opportunities. Some positions might even offer training or workshops, making it a great learning experience.
8. Become a Beach Bum (Without Breaking the Bank)
Who doesn't love a classic beach day? Pack a picnic lunch, grab a frisbee or volleyball, and head to the nearest beach (free admission is key!). Build sandcastles, go for a refreshing swim, and soak up the sun (with sunscreen, of course!). Many beaches offer free concerts or movie nights under the stars – perfect for an evening of fun without spending a dime.
Pro Tip: Pack reusable water bottles and snacks to avoid concession stand costs. Look for beaches with free public parking, or carpool with friends to split gas expenses.
9. Embrace Your Inner Athlete: Participate in Free Sports Leagues
Calling all sporty students! Many towns and cities organize free or low-cost sports leagues for activities like basketball, volleyball, or soccer. It's a fantastic way to stay active, meet new people, and have some friendly competition (trash-talking is optional, but highly encouraged!).
Pro Tip: Research local recreational centers or community parks to find ongoing sports leagues. You can also check online forums or social media groups for pick-up games happening in your area.
10. Volunteer Your Time & Make a Difference
Summer is a perfect time to give back to your community! Volunteer at a local animal shelter, a soup kitchen, or a community garden. You'll gain valuable experience, make a positive difference, and potentially meet inspiring people who are passionate about making the world a better place.
Pro Tip: Look for volunteer opportunities through local organizations, churches, or online platforms. There are even apps that connect volunteers with flexible, one-time opportunities that fit your schedule.

2024.05.19 19:26 CnRhin We Were Sent to find an Ancient Weapon called Human- Chapter 2
First Next Auraxium Captain Nikto Rakzes POV
Those traitors think they can hide from us in the old home system of the Elyrian? I’ll show them what happens when they cross Captain Nikto Rakzes! Nobody pulls one over on me and gets away with it. I mean how did I honestly believe that they were courier runners? Yes, they had the necessary paperwork, so I had to go by the books and let them go. But once they strayed from their route their fate was sealed. These three shall rue the day they thought they could escape the great Nikto Rakzes! Crew of the Scav POV
“No weapons, that’s fine we can still manage. Little one I never got your name by the way.” Asked Tic-Tac from the speakers all around the room.
“My name is Lizra, Captain Lizra Riteness the Third to be exact.”
“Adorable, ok Captain Lizra, how sure are you that these ones incoming are hostile?”
“I'm
Fairly certain. I just didn’t think that they would be so suspicious of us as to follow us here.”
“Well we did lie to them and pretend to be galactic couriers. And that dumbass bought every word of it too” Chucked Argall.
“Argall language. We are Tic-Tac's esteemed guests here.”
“No worries little one. That's ok, I think I have a plan that may get us all out of here. I can completely stabilize the atmosphere within the facility and then when they enter I will be able to jettison them from the airlocks. Do you think that might buy us enough time to get to your vessel?”
“We’re not going to fight them ourselves? The whole reason I was sent with you was to carry this weapon back! I was hoping to get to use it at least. But now I can’t even do that since the weapon is a fucking guy.” Complained Argall, annoyed that there still hadn’t been a confrontation that required his expertise.
“Don’t worry Induran, if they manage to stick around after we show them the door, we may have use for you yet. And your name is?”
“Argall” He grumbled, still disappointed there was no ancient weapon of destruction he could wield like some god of war.
“Argall what?” Questioned Tic-tac confused.
“Just Argall”
“Appropriate. They should be arriving any second now. I am going to go ahead and remove the atmosphere from this room so that we do not have to worry about pressure equalization when we make our move. Z-8 do you have any way to remotely pilot your ship from here?”
“We do not even need to inquire as to how you know our name, but please call us Zate from this point forward. Yes we have the ability to control the ship remotely. What do you have in mind Program?”
“I can see from the security feeds they are going to station their ship near yours. I will forward you the location of where to move your ship once I eject the intruders. I am going to illuminate the path to another exit, for you to move to. Once there I’ll pressurize the door, open the airlock, and throw you into space.”
“You’re going to do what with us!? I do not consent to being blasted into the cosmos Mr. Tic-Tac.” Replied Lizra clutching onto Argall even tighter.
“Captain, the claws”
“Yes my apologies Argall”
“Do not worry. If Zate gets the ship in position you will be propelled right into the loading bay or your vessel. When I was connected to Zate I was able to view the schematic of your ship. I will send her a visual representation of how to orient it to properly recieve you.” Tic-Tac replied matter of factly.
“Not necessary, we can visualize that without your aid computer.”
While the plan was being created the Human sat silently watching them. Throughout the entire conversation he hadn’t taken his eyes off of the small Elyrian captain in the room. His masked helmet gave away no signs as to how he felt towards the plan, or other occupants in the room. Lizra hopped down from atop Argall and made her way over to Human looking up at him. When standing on her hind legs she barely came up to his knees.
“Um, Mr Human, do you have anything to add to the plan?”
“No.”
“Will you defend us if it comes to that?”
“Yea sure…and I’m sorry.”
“Sorry? For what exactly?”
“Just that-”
As Lizra and Human were locked in their engrossing dialogue, a loud bang echoed throughout the facility that shook the walls of the research room. The trio jumped into action and gathered around the exit door as Human walked over to the small black box looking down at it.
“Just lemme know when Tic-Tac.”
“Disconnect me only when they get to safety. Any earlier and I will not have access to the facility.”
“You aren’t coming with us?” Asked Lizra looking down at the little black computer.
“We will be following shortly, I have to ensure your safe exit. We also have a few more items to grab before we make our leave.” A second later an explosion was heard down the hall, followed by a booming voice that echoed throught the base.
“This is Auraxium Captain Nikto Rakzes of The Prowler. You are in violation of Core federal code 13-7451 impersonating a galactic courier and attempting to flee from federal authorities. Cooperate and you will be handled respectfully. If you refuse to do so then you shall face severe repercussions. Such as a fine upwards of 10,000 credits. That will be all.”
“He seems to be in a better mood today,” Lizra chuckled.
“Oh we’ll see if he’s still threatening us with a fine when I threaten him with his own spine.”
Argall grunted putting his fists together.
“Ok Zate get the ship moving, I’m opening the airlocks now. Good luck everyone, see you soon.”
When Tic-Tac finished his farewell, the sounds of air rushing out of the facility sounded from the other side of the door. It opened up moments later and the three rushed out into the hall. They followed the blinking lights that guided them through the corridors. Upon reaching the exit they made their way into the small airlock and the door sealed behind them.
“7 seconds and we will have the ship in position. We hope Tic-Tac does not send us out too e-” Zate was cut off as the opposite door opened and plunged the trio untethered out into the stars. Outside they could see countless others flailing around in the vacuum of space, having also been unexpectedly jettisoned from the base. Lizra locked her eyes onto the ship and saw it on an interception course with them. Their trajectory was impeccable, sending them right into the open loading bay. Argall grabbed the small captain and wrapped his bulk around her to shield her from the impact. The three were thrown into the ship with the blast door slamming shut behind them.
“Wait, what about Human and Tic-Tac?” Lizra asked squirming free of Argall grip.
“We have established comms with Tic-Tac again, he says not to worry and to prepare for departure.” Zate said, picking themselves up off the floor.
“Right, lets get out of here before those Core clowns get their bearings again.”
“What? No, thank you Argall for saving me? No, Oh Argall are you hurt from taking that fall for me?”
“You’re expected to save your captain Argall, we need to focus on saving Human and Tic-Tac right now.”
“No problem, you're welcome captain, yes i'm fine, thank you for asking.”
Once back in the command room of The Scav they surveyed the situation. The majority of The Prowler’s crew was still floating around aimlessly outside. The Prowler itself had started moving away from the landing pads, bearing down on The Scav.
“Captain weapons lock detected. They are directing us to stand down and not to flee.”
“Or what? We get another fine?”
“We believe they might not tell us again.”
As the two ships faced off, Lizra was debating whether to give the order to make a slipspace jump or to surrender. Before she could make up her mind, she saw the form of Human launching himself from the facility below. He was not headed for The Scav, but instead towards The Prowler.
“Quick Zate tell him that’s not our ship! That's the ones that came here to attack us!”
“We believe he knows that.”
“Then what is he doing? Is he betraying us? And here I thought he was just warming up to me.”
Human was silhouetted against the bright red hull of the Prowler as he made contact with it and latched on. He launched himself from the side of the ship making a beeline for the front. Once there he dug his hands into the metal walls, climbing towards the windows of The Prowler’s bridge. Human stared into the bridge of The Prowler before raising an arm and shattering the glass of the viewport and throwing himself inside. A few stray plasma shots could be seen exiting the bridge before the ship’s metal shutters slammed shut in an attempt to stop the atmosphere from escaping.
“Remind me to ask Human to show me how to punch like that.”
“Captain weapons are no longer locked. Should we start a slipspace jump?”
“Yes, go for slipspace, seatbelts everyone! Zate open the cargo bay again.”
A minute later the metal shutters were torn open from the inside and Human jumped from the ruins of The Prowler's bridge towards The Scav. The Scav moved closer to intercept, and Zate oriented the ship to receive him in the open bay. Once Human was safely aboard, the cargo bay was closed and Zate initiated the slipspace jump. Once away from danger the crew gave a sigh of relief, Lizra unbuckling herself from her pedestal and surveyed the monitors.
“Well I’d like to see them give us that fine now. Great work everyone. And Argall? Thank you for shielding me earlier, it looked like it hurt.”
“Of course captain you’re welcome. And I’m fine thank you.”
“Oh come now, I was being genuine. I appreciate your initiative to keep me safe. I’ll put you in for some sort of medal when we return.”
“Nah I don’t need a medal. I just wanna actually do my job when it doesn’t involve moving around cargo.”
“Well then, shall we go greet Human and Tic-Tac then? I believe a thanks is in order.”
“We will stay here and notify you when we are clear of the system. Ensure Tic-Tac will not meddle with our systems again or he might find himself being the one jettisoned from an airlock.”
“Duly noted Zate, keep us on course and notify me of any updates.”
Lizra and Argall shed their environmental suits and made their way down into the cargo bay to see if Human was ok. When they arrived, there was a dent in the far wall, presumable from when they made the jump and Human wasn't properaly fastened in. He was wearing the small black box from the computer room on his back, and unlike before had a strange looking rifle in his hand.
“Ah that’s new, its a good look for you two. We’re not in space anymore so you don’t have to wear your suit around here when we're in transit.”
“I’m fine, thanks.” Human replied curtly.
Tic-Tac’s voice echoed from the black box attached to humans back, “Unfortunately he has no way of removing the suit here either way. We would have to construct the proper machines to remove it, as I do not believe they are present in this… galaxy." Tic-Tac said searching for the proper word. "But he hasn’t been out of it in a very long time, I assure you it’s not a burden to him.”
“Right, well thank you for saving us back there. So did you… um kill them all?”
“No, we merely disabled their systems on the bridge. They’re going to be stuck there for quite a while until someone can give them a ride. We have decided to accompany you to the nearest port where we can acquire our own ship and then we shall be on our way.” Tic-Tac responded.
“Wait wait wait, we went through all the trouble of getting you out of there, helped you bring Human back, and now you want to leave us already?”
“We have no desire to get involved in another conflict after having it be our sole purpose for as long as we can remember. I hope you can understand why we wish to make our own choices now.”
“Okay hold on, we helped you get off the base, and helped you wake up Human. So maybe you could at least come with us back home and hear us out. From someone a little more charismatic than myself.”
“Very well, how long until we arrive?”
“Um, maybe a week?”
“Terrific. Well maybe we can pass the time by telling me how you came to learn of us, and more about who you’re fighting. I only speak for myself saying I would love to know more. It really has been a long time since I’ve had a good conversation with someone that's not a part of myself.”
“Of course, here let me show you to the common room, you two can stay there until we make a stop.” Lizra led them to a large room in the center of the ship, adorned with various different chairs for the different species on board. She took the seat that was present for her, a round flat bed where she was able to curl up and use her long tail as a pillow. Human took off the black box that was Tic-tac and dropped it onto the table in the middle.
“Enjoy.” He spoke before leaving the room. Argall followed closely behind Human and Lizra only picked up the beginning of his sentence, asking about how he was able to break into the ship like that.
“Is he always this… charming?”
“He isn’t the nicest, you don't have to sidestep it. We have been through a lot. I’d like to tell you more, but I do not want to make him any angrier with me than he already is. He’s been through more than I could possibly begin to explain.
“Well I hope he ends up doing better. Maybe we can find a beach for him when we make a stop, I remember him mentioning that.”
“I’m sure he would appreciate that.”
“You know, I have been thinking about something rather peculiar he said to me when we were in your computer room.”
“And what might that be?”
“He apologized to me, but he hadn’t done anything that warranted an apology at the time.”
Tic-Tac was silent for a moment before speaking, “He has been trapped in his own head for quite some time. I would not dwell on anything strange he says. 909 is a man of few words, and does not come from a world that places social interactions in their list of their priorities.”
Lizra was quiet for a moment, feeling as if there was more Tic-Tac had wanted to say but decided not to. Before she could press further, the black box spoke again. “So, who is this Core you mentioned back there?”
“Oh my where to begin with that one. I guess my own species’ story would be a good place to start. About 1000 years ago we were nearly brought to complete extinction…”

2024.05.19 00:19 lizzzgrrr My first Princess cruise = 😃
I’ve sailed on Celebrity (Alaska) and Royal Caribbean (2 Caribbean cruises) and am on the tail end of my first Princess cruise on Majestic (RT from Seattle to Alaska)
based on Reddit recommendations stayed at the Mediterranean Inn. Well located, well priced, super comfortable with a helpful staff and an option to catch a shuttle to the pier
got to the pier at 11a for a 3p departure. Process was smooth and took under 30 minutes even though I was Blue lane (had to pick up my medallion). Highly recommend getting there early to avoid long lines.
keep your swimsuit in your carryon. Seattle was a great day for the pool but our luggage took just long enough to arrive to keep us from enjoying the pool(s)
the staff is fantastic - if they are forced to smile and greet you, you can’t tell - they seem genuinely happy
there are so many activities throughout each and every day it’s impossible to get bored
manage your expectations about the Hollywood Conservatory- I don’t know how early people were waking to claim a cabana but pretty much once someone was in one they stayed there all day. This won’t be as big an issue with sailings later in the season when it’s warm enough to enjoy the outdoor decks/your balcony if you have one
food is good - some meals were amazing, some were blecch, most were good
if you don’t have reservations at Concerto you will be told to come back later. Allegro was always accommodating
the $10 sale had zero clothing items - I was expecting T shirts but it was beach totes, ball caps, costume jewelry, sunglasses and neckties
this was a well-oiled machine: everything was planned out and ran super smoothly
I would be delighted to sail this ship my next Alaskan cruise! I’m actually considering a back to back for a milestone birthday in a couple of years

It was a multi-racial, multi-ethnic public burial ground from 1821 to 1884. The Memorial Presbyterian Church has owned the cemetery since 1832.
- The cemetery was first used for the interment of victims of the 1821 yellow fever epidemic and then for the burial of members of the newly arrived Protestant population. The oldest headstone is that of Johann George Happoldt who died August 15, 1821.
- The Huguenot Cemetery is significant because it was one of the first steps to Americanize Florida. The burial traditions and funerary materials expressed at Huguenot are quite different from the nearby Tolomato Cemetery, which had been established by the Catholic Church in 1777. Because of this significance, the Huguenot Cemetery is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
- The Friends of the Huguenot Cemetery, Inc. opens the Huguenot Cemetery to the public on the third Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Docents are on hand to answer questions.
- Admission: Free
- When: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
- Where: The cemetery is next to the Visitor Information Center in historic downtown at the corner of A1A and Orange Street.

2024.05.16 23:43 LordXamon Vanilla-friendly mod recommendations. QoL, performance, retextures, and more!
Let me share my 3000h of modded wisdom with you, my fellow vanilla comrades. My attempt here is to provide you with as many as possible improvements to the base game while keeping the style, balance, and content as vanilla as possible. As they say, when it works the best is when you don't realize it is there. I guarantee you that after playing for a while with these, you will no longer be able to tell what's from the base game and what's not.
You don't know how to mod? Maybe this
very basic guide will help. Please, note that many mods come with options to tune up your experience. It is recommended you give them a look.
You can find the steam collection
here. Be aware that some of these mods require the DLCs. You don't have the DLCs? Just don't use the mod.
Dependencies:
- Harmony + Huglibs. Required by so many mods, you may as well be done with it and always have them.
- Vanilla Expanded Framework. While not as radically necessary as the previous ones, it's still a dependency fairly common. And this one actually does cool things on its own, like loading new modded factions without having to start a new game.
- XML Extensions. You won't be able to access the options of some mods without this.
Performance
- Dub performance analyzer. Enable the optimizations and override options, you can ignore everything else. If you want to disable alerts, use rocketman.
- Rocketman. By default, it should be good enough. This mod also allows to disable alerts you may don't care about, like, dunno, tattered apparel or unhappy nudity. It is recommended to run adaptive move occasionally (in stat cache settings).
- Performance Optimizer. More hacker magic. If you don't like the UI changes, you can disable them in the options. This mod does more performance stuff aside from that, so use it anyway!
- Performance Fish. You will have to install this mod manually, since it's not available in the workshop. You will also need to install its dependencies, Fishery and Prepatcher. Please, be aware that at the present there's an issue in which linking storages crashes the game. However, this can be prevented by disabling "TryFindBestBetterStoreCellFor" in the options.
Minor changes
- Optimization Meats. Unless you really want dozens of different meat types for some weird role-play reason, this mod will reduce the bloat on your kitchens.
- Better Animal Tab
- Better Info Card
- Conduit Deconstruct. A button to exclusively dismantle power conduits.
- Disable Automatically Select Travel Supplies
- Improved Need Indicator
- Map Preview. You can reroll as well!
- Prepare Landing. You can search world tiles matching your conditions. Goes great with Map Preview.
- Medical Tab. An easy way to overview your colony health.
- More Harvest Designators! e.g. harvest only fully growth plants.
- ModDiff. Great improvement of the mod mismatch screen.
- Pharmacist Temporary Update. Instead of always using the best medicine, now your pawns can use the appropriate medicine for the situation. No longer will they spent glitterworld meds on scratches!
- Smart Turret Covering. Fixes an issue with turret covers.
- PawnTargetFix. So that the autotarget prioritizes the closest enemy.
- Poisoned Food Stack Fix (Fix). Fixes an issue with meal stacks.
- Priority Treatment Ressurected. Doctors will finally prioritize keeping your pawns alive over taking a nap. Disable the option that prevents injured pawns from performing surgery, it has issues.
- QualityBuilder. You can set up a target level for furniture, and your pawns will reconstruct it until it's achieved. If I remember correctly, it's enabled by default for all new furniture? You can turn that off in options.
- RPG Style Inventory Revamped. Much better looking inventory.
- Replace Stuff. Allows to directly replace buildings, without having to deconstruct first.
- Research Tree. A better research tree.
- RimHUD. The best mod of the whole list, it will save you A TON of clicks.
- RimSaves. Overhaul of the save menu.
- Show Known Techprints on the trade screen.
- Show mechanoid weapons on the info screen.
- Smarter Construction. No more babysitting pawns when building walls.
- Stack gap. By default, pawns constantly refill storages. With this mod, you can configure it so that storages are refiled only when they're empty.
- Sun Lamp Honesty. Fixes an issue with sun lamps
- Just Put It Over There. Traders will deliver the merchandise, instead of dropping it on the ground.
- Trade Ships Drop Spot. Mark the spot in which orbital traders will deliver the merchandise, instead on whenever they feel like it. Doesn't work inside animal pens.
- Trading Options. Configure how frequent you want the traders to be.
- WVC. More work modes for the mechanitor.
- Save Settings. Allows you to save and load storage, production, and clothes settings. Works cross-save!
- No Max Bills. Removes the bill cap on workbenches.
- Better ground-penetrating scanner
- Colored deep resources
- Common Sense. Feel free to configure however you like it. I prefer it like this.
- Dubs Mint Menus. Improvements to a bunch of menus.
- Better Pawn Control. Improved management policies.
- Animals Logic. A lot of useful animal-related improvements. Disable the meat option if you're using Optimization Meats.
- Non uno Pinata. Pawns don't drop items when downed. Configurable.
- Bulk Smelting will save you precious time.
- Stonecutting Extended. The same as the previous mod, but for stones.
- Electric Stonecutting Table. To speed up the stonecutting even more.
- Faster Smoothing, a must for all mountain/underground out there.
- Do Your F****** Research. You can order pawns to research.
- Go the Fork to Sleep. You can order pawns to sleep.
- Meal Radius. Configure how far pawns will search for a table to eat.
- Home radius. Configure the size of the automatic home area.
- Smarter Visitors. Visitors will leave if things get dangerous.
- Custom Guilt Duration. Executions in vanilla are a pain because the guilty status goes away too fast. Now you can configure it.
- Dress Patients. Allows dressing of downed pawns.
- Way Better Romance
- Hunters Use Melee
- Injured Carry. Allows to rescue not downed pawns, no longer you have to wait for the bleeding to down them.
- Not My Fault. The player is no longer responsible for unrelated deaths on the map.
- Deep Storage + Simple Storage. Improves stockpile management.
- Pick Up And Haul. Improved hauling.
- While You're Up. Complement for the previous mod. Keep in mind that these two mods will trivialize part of the challenge by freeing a lot of time from your colonists. Just, dunno, turn up the difficulty a notch or something.
- Trading Spot. Marks where you want traders to stop on your map. It's a must if you use a desired path mod (I don't know if they have been updated to 1.5 yet).
- Vanilla Base Generation Expanded. Improved NPC base generation.
- Cut plants before building
- Psychic Harmonizer Lag Fix
- Fellow Ideology players, you're welcome.
Major changes
- Dubs Bad Hygiene. Plumbing!
- Vanilla Temperature Expanded. Lot of useful temperature-related buildings, as well as proxy heat, a very cool mechanic. Some buildings are redundant with the previous mod, just don't research the ones that you don't want.
- Death Rattle + Biosculpter Patch + Life Support. Changes the behavior of mortal wounds so they're not instakills.
- Dynamic Flooding. Inundations!
- Some Things Float. I recommend disabling the chance of pawns loosing their footing.
- Layered Wall Destruction. Walls aren't just destroyed, they become debris. Note that there's an issue in which the debris will spawn home areas.
- Yayo's Combat. Combat overhaul. You can disable the ammunition system if it's not your thing.
- Character Editor. Allows you to edit and save/load pawns.
- RunAndGun. Allows to use guns while moving, with penalties to accuracy. Don't enable the dual wield or search and destroy modules, they won't work.
- EPOE Forked. Fills in the gaps of surgery content in the base game. I recommend disabling the additional workstations and enabling direct crafting only. Less micromanagement, more fun.
