How does this loaf look to you?
Can I get a crumb read?
My starter is 3 weeks old. I used it at peak time.
150g starter 350g water 500g flour 10g salt
Mix dough so it's shaggy and rest 1 hour. Used hands to form dough in to a ball. Let rest 30 mins and do 1 S&F. Sat in oven, light off, at 75° until "doubled" - this was eyeballing as I don't have a clear straight container. It took 9 hours from first Mix to shaping. Shape and let rest on counter 45 mins. Fridge for 2 hours(had to run errands). Score. Preheat to 450°, lower to 400° when bread is put in. Cover for 35, uncovered for 25. Temped out at 208°
This is my 3rd loaf and I'd just like to see what others think. Thanks!

2024.04.29 01:50 cattaxevasion Claire Emslie Songs

Claire, Queen of Scots, has been playing out of her mind lately, and has been one of our best players since arriving in 2022. As the self-appointed music director of Section 208 (The Sunburn Singers), I think it's beyond time we sing a song in her honor.
I've taken the tunes of three recognizable Scottish songs and adapted them for our no. 10. Culturally, these original songs all reference death and dying - but it's a real challenge to find a Scottish folk tune that doesn't. I'm open to feedback as well as blatant theft.
I don't know how our current repertoire came to be, so I'm just pitching here. Take these as you will.

Claire Emslie's On Fire (to the tune of Auld Lang Syne)

She came across from Edinburgh,
To join us in LA.
She gives it all, win, lose, or draw,
Claire Emslie is her name.
[CHORUS x 2]
Claire Emslie is on fire, my dear
Claire Emslie is on fire
We have no doubt, don’t take her out
When Claire Emslie's on fire
(alternative verses in comments)

Emslie of Edinburgh (to the tune of Streets of Edinburgh by The Proclaimers)

It’s Claire, it's Claire, it’s Claire, it's Claire ([original could work too] They pass, they pass, they pass, they pass)
Emslie of Edinburgh; best in the world to me.
She runs, she scores, you missed her - there she goes!
Emslie of Edinburgh; our Claire Emslie [or] our MVP.

A Sight of Claire Emslie (to the tune of Loch Lomond)

She’ll run behind you, and she’ll run below you,
I’m glad that she’s not against me, ([alternatively] So you need to mark her intently,)
For me and my true love are going to the game,
Just for a sight of Claire Emslie

2024.04.28 23:30 BurpaMurpa I don't know what I'm doing.

I don't know what I'm doing.
So I'm a renter and a big plus of my new place was central air.
Now the heat does work but whenever I try to set it to cold or fan with the remote it beeps but nothing happens. The flap doesn't open at all. If put it to fan or cold and then turn it off and on it does work for literally a few seconds but then closes all together.
The landlord assures me I must be doing something wrong but I've already checked user videos for the remote online and it doesn't react the same as the videos do. I've tried to cycle through every mode on the remote and unless I want heat the vent won't even open.
If anyone could offer an idea or help I'd appreciate it. Ive attached pictures from the wall unit and back of the remote.

2024.04.28 22:30 SLMac93 How on earth do you pick a car?

I thought I picked the perfect car yesterday.
The C4 Cactus... low insurance band, no tax, reversing camera, sat nav and it should be good for the 200+ miles I will need to do a week... but I've been researching, and it's not very well reviewed.
Now I've seen other contenders! I've been looking at Kia Rio, Peugeot 208/308, Renault Megane/Clio/Captur, Nissan Juke and Mini (my favourite, but can't find one with everything I want in my budget).
My budget is 8k-9k and cause of the insurance hike, I'm keen to get a cheap road tax, so looking at 2015-2016 models.
Not the biggest budget, but hoping for something reliable!
Also... RIP Mazda2.

2024.04.28 20:35 skcusaixelsyD On the "Big Board" Analysis

I originally titled this post "Trent Baalke Should be Fired if the 2024 Class Does Not Hit." I expected I would go through the 2023 class and 2022 class and find that Baalke was a habitual over picker. He is, but I was still surprised by what happened when I redrafted the classes for him. Here are the last three draft classes followed by if we got them at value (+) or reached (-)
2024:
  1. Brian Thomas Jr. (+3)
  2. Maason Smith (-48)
  3. Jarrian Jones (-52)
  4. Javon Foster (-28)
  5. Jordan Jefferson (-85)
  6. Deantre Prince (-108)
  7. Keilan Robinson (-188)
  8. Cam Little (Not on the Board)
  9. Myles Cole (+20)
2023:
  1. Anton Harrison (-4)
  2. Brenton Strange (-69)
  3. Tank Bigsby (+4)
  4. Ventrell Miller (-81)
  5. Tyler Lacy (-100)
  6. Yasir Abdullah (-39)
  7. Antonio Johnson (+99)
  8. Parker Washington (+52)
  9. Christian Braswell (-157)
  10. Erick Hallett (-228)
  11. Cooper Hodges (-216)
  12. Raymond Vohasek (-250)
  13. Derek Parish (-69)
2022:
  1. Travon Walker (-4)
  2. Devin Lloyd (+9)
  3. Luke Fortner (-53)
  4. Chad Muma (+3)
  5. Snoop Conner (-172)
  6. Gregory Junior (-108)
  7. Montaric Brown (-8)
I then put on my GM hat and tried to use the big board to address the same needs the team focused on in those years. I've put in bold the players that we would take again.
2023:
  1. Anton Harrison (-4)
  2. Antonio Johnson (0)
  3. Tank Bigsby (+4)
  4. Jaylon Jones (-26)
  5. Brenton Strange (0)
  6. Parker Washington (+3)
  7. Yasir Abdullah (+15)
  8. Jake Moody (+1) (instead of Erick Hallett. We took a kicker in FA, so I considered this a need).
  9. Ventrell Miller (0)
  10. Kaevon Merriweather (+0) (Safety. Went undrafted. Currently a Buccaneer)
  11. Tyler Lacy (-4)
  12. Nesta Jade Silvera (-32) (instead of Raymond Vohasek)
  13. Derek Parish (I don't know how to sort by fullback. Also, it's pick 240).
2022:
  1. Travon Walker (-4) (I'm not going to quibble over a difference of 4)
  2. Devin Lloyd (+9) (We got him at value. Both of the players we could've taken "at value" were already drafted. Linderbaum was off the board at 25. Kenyon Green was off the board at 15)
  3. Chad Muma (+5 instead of +3)
  4. Luke Fortner (-48) (He was honest to God the highest rated C available and that didn't change if i took at him 65. Remember, we're not looking at results, just big board positioning)
  5. Kyren Williams (+38) (Instead of Snoop Conner) (Limited production in 2022. 1144 yards, 12 TD in 2023. Rams.)
  6. Jaylen Watson (-1) (Instead of Gregory Junior) (Currently with the Chiefs. Low numbers. Started six games in 22. Two games in 23)
  7. Montaric Brown (Not quibbling with a -8 difference in the 200's)
Looking at the above, Baalke is an over drafter, but the 2022 and 2023 drafts look about the same if I take players "at value." The only players I think he really reached on were Snoop Conner and some of the late round DL's and DB's. However, I think more latitude should be afforded on later round picks, so Snoop Conner really is the only horrible pick he's had.
Sorry if I got anything really wrong when I went and redrafted. I was only able to sort by IOL or RB instead of things like C/G or RB/FB. I looked up players for where they're currently at and what position they're playing to draft them.
This isn't a post for or against Baalke. I wanted us to focus on OL this year, so I was pretty bummed when the media made it seem like Baalke is an idiot for reaching at everything. I think 2022 was a mediocre year for us and 2023 was straight up bad, but 2023 barely changes if you go by the board. So, I don't know, maybe everyone is an idiot. I think it's more fair to hate our draft classes based on the positions we focused on instead of the value of the players we actually took.

Game 1-RCB vs CSK at Chepauk
Probability based on betting odds: 58% CSK 42% RCB
1st innings: RCB won the toss and chose to bat first due to the deteriorating pitch. RCB started 37/0 after 4 overs due to Faf being 31 off 20 with 7(!) 4s. Kohli, meanwhile, is just a bystander. CSK bring on the Fizz, and he strikes, getting Faf to miscue it to deep point. Patidar comes in at 3 and edges it straight to Dhoni, 2 for Fizz in the over. Maxwell comes in and edges it to Dhoni for a golden duck. RCB has fallen from 41/0 in 4.2 overs to 42/3 in 6 overs. Cam Green and Kohli consolidate the innings with a slow 35 run partnership before the Fizz comes back and gets another double strike, getting Kohli and Green to break the back of RCB leaving 79/5 after 12 overs. DK and Rawat play carefully for a couple of overs and RCB is 90/5 after 14 overs. Rawat and DK then turn it up, making it rain boundaries getting RCB to a competent 173/6. Rawat had 48 off 28 and DK had 38 off 26.
2nd innings: CSK start the chase off well. Rachin Ravindra and Gaikwad play a lot of great shots together before the skipper nicks it to first slip at 38/1 after 4 overs. Rahane comes in at 3. Rachin Ravindra, in his IPL debut gets out for a stellar 37 off 15 with 103 needed from 78 for CSK. 76% CSK. Rahane also gets out off the bowling of Cam Green for 27 and with Daryl Mitchell and Dube at the crease, CSK need 72 off 54. Green gets another wicket, the wicket of Daryl Mitchell and all of a sudden, CSK need 60 from 42 balls. Siraj and Maxwell bowl back-to-back decent overs and bring it to CSK needing 46 off 30 balls to win with Jadeja and Dube at the crease. CSK still have a 67% chance of winning. Dube is struggling at 7 off 13. Dube and Jadeja accelerate with plenty of boundaries off Joseph and Siraj and they see CSK home, a win by 6 wickets with 8 balls remaining.
Man of the Match: Mustafizur Rahman 4/29 4 overs wickets of Kohli, Faf, Patidar, and Cam Green.
Random Thought: Rachin Ravindra is criminally underpaid. 1.8 crores. Why didn't other teams big for him?
Fun Factoid: Last time RCB won at Chepauk against CSK, George Bush was the US president.
Game 2-DC vs PBKS at Mullanpur
Probability based on betting odds: 52% DC 48% PBKS
Playing XIs
DC: Warner, Marsh, Hope, Pant, Bhui, Stubbs, Axar, Sumit Kumar, Kuldeep, Khaleel, Ishant Sharma
PBKS: Dhawan, Bairstow, Curran, Livingstone, Jitesh, Shashank Singh, Harpreet Brar, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh
1st innings: PBKS won the toss and chose to field. Marsh and Warner get off to a great start, 21/0 in 2 overs. Marsh was looking very dangerous before he drove it straight up to cover-point off Arshdeep’s bowling. In comes Shai Hope, who perhaps shouldn’t have been selected over Jake Fraser-McGurk. Harshal Patel gets the wicket of David Warner, caught behind. DC are 74/2 after 8 overs. In comes Pant, who’s finally back after injury. Hope chips it to extra cover off the bowling of Rabada. DC are 103/3 after 12 overs. Ricky Bhui enters. On Pant’s first game back, he lops it to point off Harshal, out for 18 off 13. DC are 111/4 after 13 overs. Stubbs comes in. The very next over, off the bowling of Brar, Bhui gloves it to the keeper. Stubbs looks to hit it inside-out over extra cover off Chahar and gets caught. DC are in big trouble now at 128/6 after 16 overs. Axar Patel gets run out, trying to keep strike. DC are in shambles now at 137/7 after 17.1 overs. This forces DC to use their impact sub, bringing in Abhishek Porel for Bhui. DC doesn’t do much for the next 2 overs, leaving them at 149/8 after 19 overs. Harshal Patel is bowling the last over. Porel goes 4 6 4 4 6 1. 25 runs off the last over. Porel finished 32*(10) Porel single handedly took DC to a competent total of 174. According to ESPNcricinfo, that one over increases DC’s odds of winning by 18%.
2nd innings: Dhawan and Bairstow get off to a good start, 34/0 after 3 overs hitting a combined 6 4s. Ishant Sharma gets the wicket of Dhawan, and in comes Prabhsimran. Ishant Sharma tipped the ball in follow-through to run out Bairstow in the same over. The Kings are 42/2 after 4, as Sam Curran comes in. Ishant Sharma gets injured, he twisted his right ankle. Prabhsimran and Curran stabilize the innings, before Prabhsimran holes out at long-on. PBKS are 87/3 after 10 overs. Jitesh Sharma comes in at 5. Jitesh Sharma gets stumped. PBKS are 103/4 after 12 with 72 needed from 48 as Livingstone joins Curran, who’s on 28 off 23. They’re the last formidable batting pair with only Shashank, Harshal, and Brar being not terrible batsmen. DC spinners continued to slow down PBKS with Kuldeep nearly getting another wicket, but Stubbs dropped Curran on 33. PBKS are 112/4 after 14 overs with 63 needed from 36. Mitch Marsh comes back in and gets mashed by Livingstone and Curran, for 18 in the over to bring the equation down to 45 off 30. Curran gets to his 50 off 39 balls. PBKS need 39 off 24, Livingstone and Curran end up hitting several boundaries off Marsh and Khaleel to bring the equation down to an easy 10 off 12. Nothing comes easy for PBKS though, as Khaleel, bowling the penultimate over, gets the wickets of Curran and Shashank Singh back to back and PBKS end up needing 6 off the last over. Sumit Kumar bowled the last over and gave up a 6 to Livingstone on the 2nd ball to win the game for PBKS.
Man of the Match: Kuldeep Yadav 2/20 4 overs Wickets of Jitesh and Prabhsimran Singh.
Fun Factoid: PBKS have won 7 of their last 8 opening matches. They missed the playoffs every single time.
Game 3-KKR vs SRH at Eden Gardens
Probability Based on betting odds: 52% KKR 48% SRH
Playing XIs
SRH: Mayank Agarwal, Tripathi, Markram, Klassen, Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Marco Jansen, Pat Cummins, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markande, T Natarajan
KKR: Venkatesh Iyer, Salt, S. Iyer, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Starc, Harshit Rana, Varun CV
1st innings: SRH won the toss and chose to field first, Bhuvi bowled a great first over, but Jansen released all the pressure, being cracked by Salt for a hat-trick of sixes, but SRH get the wicket of Narine, run out. KKR are 23/1 after 2 overs. Venky Iyer comes in(a reminder that KKR’s idiotic management retained him over Gill). Natarajan comes on for the 4th over and gets a double Iyer strike, getting both Iyers to play an idiotic shot. KKR are in some trouble at 32/3 after 4 overs. KKR end the powerplay at 43/3 after 6 overs. Markande strikes in his first over getting Rana to mis-hit a reverse sweep to backward point. KKR are 51/4 in 7.3 overs with Salt(30 off 23) being joined by Ramandeep with KKR in massive trouble. Ramandeep plays an incredible counter-attacking knock and combined with Salt gets KKR to 105/4 after 12 overs. Cummins brings himself on and gets the wicket of Ramandeep for a well-played 35 off 17 with 1 4 and 5 6s. In comes KKR’s superstar, Rinku Singh and he starts with a first ball 4 off Cummins. Markande gets the wicket of Salt for a great 54 off 40 with 3 4s and 3 6s. In comes KKR’s other finisher, although he’s been meh lately, Dre Russ. KKR are 119/6 after 14 overs. Cummins bowls out for 4-0-32-1. KKR are 123/6 after 15 overs. Cricinfo projects KKR for 175. Dre Russ and Rinku Singh hammer poor Nattu and Bhuvi, ruining their stats after they bowled so well in the powerplay, hammering a scarcely believable 77 off just 4 overs. Needless to say, this SRH bowling attack isn’t exactly at the level of the 2016-2020 Risers. KKR are 200/6 after 19 overs. Natarajan bowls a solid last over, allowing just 8 runs and picking up the wicket of Rinku, so KKR gets to 208/7. Dre Russ ends with 64 off 25 with 3 4s and an insane 7 6s. deep square leg.
2nd innings: SRH open with Mayank and Abishek, the impact player. Mayank and Abhishek, get off to a good start, specifically Mayank. SRH are 58/0 after 5 overs. Harshit Rana got Mayank to mis-time a pull to deep square leg. Former KKR batter, Rahul Tripathi enters the game. SRH are 65/1 after the powerplay. Abishek top edges a pull to fine leg off Russell, gone for a solid 32 off 19. In comes Aidan Markram, SRH are 77/2 after 8 overs. Tripathi is dropped by Varun CV(maybe strategically?) off Narine’s bowling. He was 5 off 8 at the time. Rahul Tripathi is dropped AGAIN on 13 off 11, this time by Suyash. SRH are 99/2 after 10 with 110 more needed from 60. On the very next ball, Tripathi misses a flick off Narine’s off-break, but KKR chose not to review, even though he was out(this is surely strategic, right? KKR don’t want Tripathi to get out, so they can avoid Klassen coming in?). Markram gets out off the bowling of Varun CV and all of a sudden, SRH are 108/3 after 12 with 101 needed in 8 overs. Klassen finally does enter though. Narine gets the wicket of Tripathi, finally. KKR likely decided that since Klassen already came in, there was no point of intentionally keeping Tripathi at the crease. In comes Abdul Samad, SRH are in massive trouble at 111/4 after 13 with 98 needed from 42. Another economical over from Suyash brings the asking rate to 94 from 36, which is practically impossible. KKR’s odds of winning according to Cricinfo is 98.55%. Starc comes in and allows just 5, bringing it to 76 needed off 24. That’s game over for SRH. KKR is at 99.2%. Samad hits some shots off Russell before he hits it straight to deep midwicket, another wicket for Russell. 64 needed from 19. SRH should try their best to keep their NRR from getting damaged too much. Shahbaz hits a first ball 4. 60 needed from 18. Varun CV comes in for his last over. Klassen is on 22 off 17 with 2 6s both off Varun CV. Full and outside off, rammed down the ground by Klassen for 6. 54 needed from 17. 52 needed from 16. Full and wide off again, Klassen reaches for it and heaves across the line for 6 over long-on. 46 needed from 15. Surely SRH can’t pull this off. Surely not… 45 needed from 14. Shazbaz is on strike. Full and wide of off again, Shahbaz muscles it deep into the crowd. 6 more for the risers. 39 needed from 13. Shahbaz looks to slash but misses, but a very successful over nonetheless. 39 needed from 12. Starc comes in to bowl his last. Full and on leg, Klassen slogs, doesn’t connect whatsoever, but it still goes for 6. 33 needed from 11. SRH has a chance all right. Full and around off, but Klassen has a go across the line and is beaten. 33 needed off 10. Starc bowls a wide yorker that’s a little too wide. 32 needed from 10. Shorter side of a length and just outside off, and it’s Klassened for 6 over deep midwicket. 26 needed from 9. Full and a bit outside off, Klassen drills it with a horizontal bat over deep extra cover. 50 comes up for Klassen off just 25 balls. 20 needed from 8. Yorker on off, squeezed to long-on. 19 needed from 7. Full toss to Shahbaz, swiped over deep backward square leg. SRH are favorites now. 13 needed off 6 with Klassen on strike. Harshit Rana will bowl the last over. Short of a length around off, blasted over fine leg for 6 more. Klassen, you f***ing beauty. He’s nearly taken SRH home miraculously. 7 needed from 5. 85% SRH. Full ball, on sixth stump, Klassen swings and gets a bottom edge, the ball trickles toward point, just a single. 6 needed from 4. Shahbaz finds long-on! Huge play. 6 needed from 3 with Jansen on strike. Jansen swishes it to mid-wicket for a single, to bring Klassen on strike. 5 needed from 2. In the slot and just outside off, Klassen gets a top edge to short third and Suyash makes a great catch. No!!!! Why? 5 needed from 1 with Cummins on strike. Cummins swings and misses on a slower ball. KKR win by 4 runs. What a final over from Harshit Rana.
Fun Factoid: SRH's odds of winning went from <1% to 85% to 0% in the last 19 balls of the game.

RR: Jaiswal, Butler, Samson, Parag, Hetmyer, Jurel, Ashwin, Boult, Avesh, Sandeep, Chahal
LSG: QDK, KL, Paddikal, Badoni, Hooda, Pooran, Stoinis, Krunal, Bishnoi, Moshin, Naveen-ul-Haq
1st Innings: RR win the toss and chose to bat first, which makes sense given the way Sawai Mansingh usually is. Jaiswal and Butler open the innings. Naveen Ul-Haq dismisses Jos Butler in the 2nd over, caught behind. RR are 13/1 after 2 overs. The skipper, Samson comes in. Jaiswal hits several boundaries. RR are 32/1 after 4 overs. Samson and Jaiswal hit 17 off the first 5 balls of the 5th over, but then Jaiswal pulls it up to mid-on. RR are 49/2 after 5 overs, and Parag enters. LSG spinners slow down the pace as Samson and Parag try to stabilize. RR are 63/2 after 8. Yash Thakur comes in to the attack, and RR hit him for 21 in an over. After another quiet over for RR, RR hit 15 off Bishnoi. RR are 104/2 after 11. Samson brings up a 33 ball 50, what a knock. RR are 119/2 after 13. In the 15 over, Naveen-ul-Haq gets Parag to top-edge a pull to deep-backward square. Parag goes for 43 off 29. RR are 143/3 after 15 as Hetmyer enters. Hetmyer is caught behind off Bishnoi and Jurel enters. RR are 158/4 after 17. 2 decent, but not incredible overs put RR at 179/4 with an over to play. RR finish on 193/4 with Samson playing a brilliant 82 off 52 with 3 4s and 6 6s. Game 1 Samson is a real thing!.
2nd Innings: QDK and KL open the innings. Boult strikes in the first getting QDK, caught on the boundary at fine leg. DDP comes in. DDP has his stumps flattened by Boult. Another powerplay victim for Boult. LSG are 11/2 after 3 overs as Badoni coems in. Nandre Burger gets Badoni to find mid-off and LSG are in tatters at 11/3 after 3.1 overs. Hooda comes in and plays some counterattacking shots. LSG end the powerplay 47/3 with KL on 15 off 15 and Hooda on 18 off 8. Hooda gets out to the bowling of Chahal, heaved to mid-wicket. Pooran comes in. LSG are 61/4 after 8 overs. LSG are 76/4 after 10. 118 needed from 60 for LSG. In the 11 over, bowled by Burger, KL turns it on going 6 4 4 for 17 in the over. After 9 of an Ashwin over, Pooran hammers Boult for 20 in the over with 2 6s and a 4. Suddenly LSG are 122/4 after 13, and only 72 are needed from 42. KL brings up a 35 ball 50. 2 quiet overs from Ashwin and Avesh mean that LSG needs 60 off the last 5 overs. LSG get 11 over a Chahal over. LSG need 49 from 4 overs. Sandeep Sharma returns for his 3rd over, and dismissed KL immediately for a solid 58 off 44. Stoinis comes in. Pooran brings up 50 off 30. 7 off the over. 42 needed from 3 overs. Stoinis slogs off Ashwin and finds Jurel at deep mid-wicket. Krunal enters, but can't do anything. Just 4 off the over. 38 needed from 2 overs, LSG losing the plot here. Sandeep bowls a superb last over, allowing just 7 off 5, with a settled Pooran facing 4 of those balls. 31 are needed from 7, which is game over. What an anticlimactic end to the run chase. But what good bowling from RR. Just 51 came off the last 7 overs.
Result: RR 193 for 4 (Samson 82\, Parag 43) beat* LSG 173 for 6 (Pooran 64\, Rahul 58, Boult 2-35) by 20 runs.*
Random Thought: RR swiping Boult from MI, Chahal from RCB and Sandeep was unsold so swiped him. Their old teams would give an arm to get them back.

MI need 39 from 24. MI 78%. Just 3 off Rashid's last over. Tilak Varma denies Tim David singles, so he can avoid Rashid, but I doubt that's a logical move. MI need 36 from 18. How did MI let it get to this? MI 68%. Mohit Sharma comes in for the 17th. David hits a 4 and a couple of 2s before Tim David gets a top edge of a slow bouncer. 11 off the over and the massive wicket of David. MI are 142/5 MI need 27 from 12 with 5 wickets left. MI 50%. SRH are 58/1 after 5 overs. Coetzee is smacked for 23 runs. Head gets to a 18 ball 50. SRH reach 81/1 in the powerplay! Head is on 59 off just 20, what a ridiculous innings. Markram comes in and gets off the mark with a 4. SRH are 117/2 after 8. In the 10th over, Abhishek(who is already on 34 off 13), goes 4, 6, 6, 4 to bring up 50 off 16 and gets to 54 off 17. SRH are 191/3 after 14 with Markram on 28 off 17 and Klassen on 18 off 9. 200 comes up for SRH in 14.4 overs, the 2nd fastest ever in the IPL behind RCB vs KXIP in 2016. SRH are 202/3 with 5 to play. Bumrah ends with 0-36 in 4 overs. Everyone else is 220/3 in 15 overs(14.66 an over). The Record for highest IPL total is 263/5 by RCB in Gayle 175* match. SRH have broken the record! They get to a ridiculous 272/3.
2nd innings: Hitman and Kishan open. Both come out bashing. MI are 50/0 after 3. It's surprising to see MI actually going for the chase. Shahbaz is hit for a 6 by Ishan Kishan, but gets revenge on the next ball. Kishan goes for 34 off 14. Naman Dhir comes in. MI are 59/1 after 4. MI are 141/2 after 10 needing 137 from 10. The CRR has passed the RRR. The highest total after 10 overs in IPL history was 131 before today. That record has been broken TWICE today. MI were 150/2 after 10.3 overs, when Dhir slammed it to cover off Unadkat. Hardik comes in. MI are 165/3 after 12 overs. They need 113 from 8 overs. Bhuvi bowls a gem of an over, just 5 off it. MI need 108 from 7 overs. MI need 96 from 6 overs with Tilak on 64 off 33 and Hardik on 19 off 13. Cummins strikes, getting the set Tilak out, so now MI are in huge trouble as Tim David walks out. Just 3 off the over too, now MI need 93 off 30, which is nearly impossible. Just 18 off the last 3 overs for SRH. Game set and Match. MI need 88 off 24. MI need 68 from 18. Hardik Pandya goes for an ugly 24 off 20. MI are 224/5 after 18 and need 54 from 12. MI end on 246/5. IPL's biggest run fest, absolute insanity. This could be an ODI game a decade ago, 277 against 246.
Result: SRH 277/3 (Klaasen 80\, Abhishek 63, Head 62) beat* MI 246/5 (Tilak 64, David 42\, Cummins 2-35) by 31 runs*
Man of the Match: Abhishek Sharma 63(23) 3x4 7x6
Random Thought: A special shout out to Cummins and Bumrah, in a game where the average run rate was 13 across the 40 overs and no other bowlers went under 11.5, they conceded 8.75 and 9 an over respectively.
Fun Factoid: 523 combined runs is the highest in any T20.

2024.04.28 17:54 rngwilson [Request] Shaking your nozzle

My partner insists on rattling the end of the fuel pump nozzle an inordinate amount after fueling up his car. Like, a STUPID amount. When I'm in the passenger seat and he's rattling away behind me for a good 20 seconds it drives me absolutely mad!
I'm absolutely sure he only gets 1 or 2 drops of petrol out of it. So my question:
How many miles, or metres (British, sorry, we use both) does 2 drops of petrol get you?
Car is a 1.2L Peugeot 208 (2013)

2024.04.28 17:51 Plylyfe Sony CFS-207 power cord hunt

I have a Sony CFS-207 boombox and while everything on it works, the power cord is damage. It's a Kawasaki KS-21 cord 3A 125V and the plug appears to be a fully rounded rectangle with two prongs.
I'm trying to find a new cord online but I only found one for the CFS-208, 209 and 204, others have the same voltage but a higher amperage (either 7 or 10), or I see plugs with one curved edge and one flat edge. I don't want to get a used cord because I don't want to keep on replacing it. I'm wondering if I could use a cord fit for the 208 on the 207 and if the higher amperage output may damage the boombox.

[SALE] BIG New figures sale!! Getting out of the hobby!!
All figures are new and sealed. Unless stated otherwise.
Shipping is not included.
NO trades, paypal invoice only.
Message me via chat with your zipcode and desired figure. I can provide you with an estimated total including shipping. Please serious inquiries only, I have to dig through several boxes to give you an estimate.
Shipping within the USA only
I bought the figures during Covid and placed them in storage until I moved. After moving I noticed that I was not into the hobby anymore due the amount of space they take up and price. Any purchase helps out. I have a great reputation on my past sells and will quickly respond and ship the figure out.

2024.04.28 16:07 Dry_Suit9517 Torn and confused

41 yo woman sw 235 Cw 208 gw 165
I am 11 doses in (probably 13 weeks). I have had every gi side effect and have been able to figure out how to resolve all but nausea. No matter what I seem to do (zofran, pepto, tums, so much ginger, physillium husk, daily electrolytes, drinking tons of water, not eating anything fatty), I get nausea 24-48 hours after the shot and it disrupts my sleep.
I have pcos/insulin resistance and have never lost weight this easily, so it has been energizing and exciting. BUT I feel sick once a week and it’s completely miserable. Meanwhile I have my last 5mg dose in the fridge.
I’m considering going back down to 2.5 to see if that helps side effects, and because of the shortage, but I also wonder if I’m insane for just not stopping taking it at this point.
For context, in addition to the desired weight loss, my father had a heart attack at 42 so I’m terrified of my heart health. My weight is in my stomach, I have the specific type of cholesterol lp(a) that increases heart attack risk, and my triglycerides lowered on this medicine into normal range but were high for years So I feel like I’m choosing between immediate discomfort and my long term health, and it’s become a no win.
Anyone have other similar struggles or conflicting thoughts? I have spent many hours discussing this with my therapist and have no idea what to do.
