I 32M and my wife 31F have been married for 6 years and have lived together for about a decade, and we now have our first of probably two kids, currently age 2.
I have been working the same job for 9 years, and it is my last 2 weeks. My new job starts after memorial day.
There is a subject in our relationship dynamic that I'm not sure how to bring up, and I could use some help. Generally it revolves around the fact that, with an increasingly demanding kid, tasks and chores are more often done quickly, or around the toddler, or while trying to be extremely quiet because she's sleeping. As such it's become much more common to, let's be frank, fuck things right up.
I woke up this morning and when I went downstairs to get ready for work I looked over mid-poop and realized there was no toilet paper left. I looked in all the usual spots and realized we were totally out on this floor and I couldn't go upstairs because that would wake the baby, so eventually I just found some tissues in a medicine cabinet and made do. My wife does the grocery shopping and tracking what household items we need. I texted my wife an FYI so when she got up she'd bring a roll down from upstairs and hopefully we have an extra one up there.
I was at work about 30 minutes when I got a text
"I'm really really really angry right now and I'm trying to calm down."
About 20 minutes go by. I am getting extremely anxious so I text pre-emptively apologizing if it was something I did, and I get
"I burned breakfast because I was retching over the toilet because the ice tray was made of soap, and I didn't realize until I tasted one."
We message back and forth. To be clear, I apologize, immediately admit it must have been my fault, soap must have gotten in the tray from me doing the pots and pans or from the dishwasher and I didn't rinse it out well before filling it, I just saw it empty on the counter the night before and filled it up.
She can't believe I wouldn't smell it, it stinks to high heaven, we need to have a family meeting because clearly Some Things Just Aren't Working, I said I was sorry but I didn't say thats disgusting so I wasn't taking it seriously.
Through all of it I'm just thinking...it's been over an hour. I haven't done any work. I've been on my phone, or I've been sitting there between texts with a knot in my stomach, feeling like shit because I know I fucked something up even if I didn't know what.
I can't do this at a new job. I won't be basically indispensable at this new place yet, and I don't want to stop trying to do tasks around the house because frankly...my wife and I don't actually have 2 vastly different levels of attention to detail. There are things we care more or less about detail wise but I'm not some slob to my wife's total steel trap.
But I really don't know how to approach the subject at all. And hey, working dudes with wives who get on them - you're typing a thing in solidarity now I get it I really do that's NOT what I'm looking for.
Parents who stay at home, whose workplace it is and who have to split the maintenance with someone whose there 1/5th the time you are: what would be a good way to bring this up that would not just result in angeindignation? It seems like any time I end up in the situation where I want to have this conversation I can't because I've just messed something up.

TLDR: I mess things up around the home. My wife doesn't come to my work and mess things up. I'm beginning a new job and can't have the regular conversation about something I've messed up. How can i make that request?

Warning : this is probably the longest post I've ever written. It's awful. If you're expecting something short, run for your safety. Otherwise, take your time and have fun.
So Kaiser and Ness have always been pretty interesting characters since their introduction, but with the most recent chapters and especially ever since the Ness flashback, things have been intensifying and there's a lot going on around these two, especially with potential developments that might happen during the PxG match. Definitely some of my favorite characters in the story thematically.
This will be a huge post analyzing, dissecting and aiming to understand the psyches of both Ness and Kaiser, by following their stories individually, as well as how they intertwine together, how their pattern of relationship is very important to the story as a whole, as well as trying to review a lot of information in hindsight that might make a lot more sense now that we virtually have their entire stories.

Part I : Ness, the Wizard

So it all starts with Alexis Ness, a German kid born into a very stereotypical scientist family of reddit atheists, as well as the following sentence : "(my parents) taught me that it's possible to explain everything that happens on earth".

This first sentence already sets a very important tone with Ness' character. He is dreamy, he's a child full of wonder with a bit of an obsession for finding magic in things, born into a family that dismisses the existence of unexplainable concepts as a whole and lambasts him for believing in them at all, even as a child. Ness is an irrational being, born into an extremely rational environment, and that fact alone alienates him from his passion, and drives him to keep going until he finds something or someone that will understand him.
Ness has a passion for the unexplainable, not the scientific unexplainable, but more the "incredible" unexplainable, things that seem too fantastic to be believed at first, and yet are still true. He also assimilates his sadness with the lack of understanding from his family among the things that he deems to be unexplainable, whether by his family or himself. Ness has a passion for magic, cannot explain why, and that's part of why he believes in magic so much. His passion is self defined.
And that passion for seeking magic in things, is also what drives him to soccer. The joy that people feel, the roaring fans, the celebrations that come from goals, Ness feels as though soccer is what will allow him to truly bring magic into this world. Which is why I theorize, that with Ness' drive for playing soccer being to bring magic on the field, he might be a self-type ego that seeks to bring magic, the same way Barou seeks the feeling of being the king of the field, or Bachira to become one with the ball (this is a very common theme with self type egos, I might make a post about this one of these days). This is a very important point if we want to understand where Ness' current development in the PxG match could be going.

Ness then takes matters into his own hands and trains relentlessly to pass the Bastard Munchen tryouts, the best club in Germany, so he can have a shot at turning his dream into reality. Ness plays quite well and even shows skills that should allow him to be better than the current BM selection, but he runs into a massive problem ; his individual skills do allow him to keep up, but his plays are ineffective. His magic doesn't work on the world, and the biggest reason why is that no one on the field can keep up with his thinking. Ness lacks the partner that will help make his vision come true.

And that's when a certain someone makes their appearance.

Part II : Kaiser, the Blue Rose

It all starts with Michael Kaiser, a different German child with a very different upbringing, but whose destiny would end up crossing paths with that of Ness.
Kaiser grew up in the ashes of a destroyed family. His dad was a theatre director, his mom was an actress, who ended up leaving his dad soon after his birth. His father, unable to bear the weight of both an unwanted child and a failed love life, ended up sinking into alcoholism, gambling addiction and domestic violence.
His father having wasted his fortune completely and being unwilling to work, Kaiser was forced to learn how to steal very early in his life, but his disgusting father's self loathing, resentment and regret towards Michael's mother still ended up reaching him through his father's constant abuse. The treatment he got from his father was the only definition of love Kaiser has ever had, and he ended up internalizing this notion, as well as the feeling that he was not wanted in this world.

Kaiser grew up, and started saving up money from selling the more valuable items that he would steal. For his twelfth birthday, he decided to buy something for himself that would actually allow him to feel alive and closer to his far away objective of leaving his father one day. And that is how he stumbled upon football.
Unlike Ness however, who developed a passion for football simply because he saw magic in it, Kaiser developed an unhealthy attachment to football that would mimic his relationship to his father. It didn't matter how much he abused the ball, the ball wouldn't respond or protest, it'd just stay by his side silently. Kaiser saw in the ball the same form of attachment that his father showed him, he saw himself in the ball, an unwanted piece of trash that would silently take the abuse that was dished out to him. Because that was the only behavior that his father ever showed to him, Kaiser ended up assimilating abuse and violence to love. That is how Kaiser became an abuser himself, which is a very important facet of his character : cycles repeat themselves, and abusers create potential future abusers.

Where Kaiser's story really begins though is when he is framed for a crime he didn't commit and the police enter their home for a search. Kaiser gets hit by his dad, the police find the money he was keeping from his father, and he's about to lose everything that would allow him to leave this life. Kaiser, at that moment, accepts the abuse again, and decides against his own heart that he'd simply take whatever sentence he gets and start saving up money again once he's out. He instinctively changes his mind when his dad decides to poke a few holes into his soccer ball though.

Though Kaiser has an awful definition of what love or attachment really is, the love that he developed for football was still as pure as he could muster. And instinctively, as he sees his father about to destroy the only thing he's ever managed to feel attachment towards, Kaiser rises against the odds and fights as hard as he can. As the narrator says it himself, this is when Kaiser's identity was truly born. This is another very important element that we'll have to keep for later.

Kaiser then goes on to get scouted by a certain PIFA executive named Ray Dark, who heard of the fact that he managed to take out multiple police officers with just a soccer ball. Kaiser is encouraged by Ray Dark to pass the BM tryouts, and is already determined to get as far away as possible from his former life, and this is where Kaiser's ego starts to badly mutate from its purest form, all because of the consequences of his father's abusive behavior : Kaiser is incapable of accepting any form of kindness and is very incline to violence.
Kaiser, from the second he enters the facility and starts training with the rest of the potential recruits, manages to make enemies through his extremely antagonistic behavior. He consistently picks fights, which obviously leads to situations where he's systematically in the wrong, and to people refusing to play with him in the moments that matter the most. This is where the Kaiser Impact is born ; Kaiser decides to create a weapon that won't just help him, but make sure he asserts full and total dominance over others. But he doesn't stop there.

Kaiser starts studying elements of psychology, and his goal is strictly to find out how to manipulate someone and make sure that they would serve him during matches. He needed a lackey, that would serve him under all circumstances, and the best way to find that lackey was to find someone that was close to breaking under pressure and despair.
And this is where the BM tryouts start.

Part III : Perspectives

This is where the duo meets for the first time, and their perspectives on the situation are very different from one another, but very similar in one aspect : they provide each other with what they need.

Ness starts out the BM tryout match very hopeful, but realizes that his individual abilities are his only functional tool and that he can't manage to spark magic with the teammates that he currently has. Ness is in a situation of despair, where he is realizing that he might not make it, and that his family was right to treat him the way they did.
Kaiser in the meantime, is in the exact opposite situation. He is alone, certainly, but also not worried : all he is doing is looking for someone with good enough skills, and in a precarious situation whose heart he can safely erode and tame. Ness needs someone to show him that magic does exist ; Kaiser needs a lackey that he can use to reach his goals. Ness needs a friend, Kaiser needs a test subject. Their relationship, is by definition profoundly unequal, and for that reason, Kaiser is also the only one of the two to be aware of that fact.

The rest of the match is pretty obvious : Ness finds a good partner to make his imagination come to fruition, Kaiser finds a dog to feed him passes, they get a hat trick together and are selected for the BM team. The important point though, is that Ness didn't actually find despair in that match : he was on the brink of realizing that he couldn't bring magic alone, but the second he was about to either give up or awaken, Kaiser came to him and became his provider for the magic he was seeking. That is the best way to make Ness' ego, his very being, dependent on Kaiser's existence.
This panel shows this best : Ness' play would've been suboptimal for anyone else, his magic would not have been sufficient for a different player. Kaiser's individual ability however, is so overwhelming that he effortlessly brings Ness the magic he seeks. Ness' magic wouldn't have worked if it wasn't for Kaiser.
Ness has never known what it feels like to create magic alone, and therefore he associates magic to Kaiser's presence. If Kaiser himself fails, that implies a personal failure on Ness' part since it means his magic didn't function. That's an extremely important element to understand for the codependency element of these two characters, and that's part of the reason why Ness has constantly been extremely defensive of every single one of Kaiser's failures so far in the story : the same way Kaiser's dream slowly became his own, his failures feel just as much his as they are Kaiser's.

Kaiser then goes on to become a very vicious player that specifically tries to scar his opponents as much as possible. The impossibility that Kaiser strives for, has become something he wants to incarnate for his opponents, an impossible behemoth to slay, the same way his dad was to him. Kaiser acknowledges this, however he associates the feeling of losing to such impossibility to weakness. To Kaiser, the fact that he let his father mistreat him for that long seems to be proof that he used to be a weak person, and that the true way to fight is to become just as evil and incarnate that feeling of impossibility to other people, as he says it to Ness : "Believing in the impossible is a curse, the instant people believe in the impossible is when they decide to give up. It's a survival instinct to guard against heartbreak, that's the way of weaklings, they kill themselves through this curse. Weaklings who dilute the purity of their egos to live longer are what I hate most in this world".
Kaiser has rationalized the abuse that he has gone through by assimilating his behavior to weakness, instead of recognizing this was the behavior of a child trying desperately to survive against impossible odds. The fact that he sees his past behavior as such and that he decided that he should become an abuser himself to get power back over his life, is already proof that his father's abuse won over his ego, and he doesn't know it himself. This is why his ego is fragile and diluted, and that's how he lost his way.

Part IV : The reality of impossibility

This is where the NEL comes in. From what we know of Kaiser's objectives with the NEL, he has come to crush the local japanese ace, to give himself a publicity boost that would either prove to the world that he isn't inferior to Noel Noa, or to get himself a contract that would allow him to get out of his current club, both so he could compete with Noa in a less direct way, and therefore not have to face the impossible task that is destroying the system that has been built around him.
Both his intention of trying to destroy Isagi by showing him how impossible it is to beat him, and his intention to avoid beating Noa directly by instead trying to publicize himself as being a striker of equal mettle, show how his ego has been twisted from what it originally was : Kaiser has become addicted to the feeling of incarnating impossibility to other players and crushing them, and he has become very avoidant of any challenges that could seem impossible to him, the same way his father's abuse seemed impossible to overcome. He has created himself a predatory mentality unfit for a competitor, and he did it all as a survival mechanism to fight against impossible odds.
The problem really starts however, when his plan backfires, and it turns out the japanese ace specifically thrives on impossible challenges and does not stop improving. Isagi Yoichi, by the time of the PxG match, has become the incarnation of the impossible odds that Kaiser usually wants to avoid, but this time he is conflicted since Isagi is also the exact type of player that Kaiser wants to crush : he is forced to face his own fear, and the more the odds are against him, the more impossibility will catch up to Kaiser. Which is exactly what might lead to Ness' awakening.

Since Ness attributes his magic to Kaiser's success, seeing Kaiser fail (and maybe even resent him for it), is most likely what will bring Ness to the pit of despair that he got to escape from back in the BM tryouts. Ness will have to face his fear of not being able to bring magic to the world alone. And with what's been foreshadowed, I believe Ness' awakening will come with some sort of cooperation with Isagi, which in turn will make Kaiser realize that he is back to facing the impossible behemoth that he faced not so long ago. This is what will make him revert to his purest ego. But what is his purest ego exactly ?

Final part : Conclusions, and Kaiser's true ego

We finally get to the part where I stop holding everything back and I tell what's on my mind.

1. I'll start with something very important : duos in Blue Lock are always doomed unless they become more than the sum of their parts.

Kaiser and Ness' duo made me realize it, especially with their very obvious parallels to Reo and Nagi, but duos often start out with one of the players (and sometimes both players) attributing a part of their ego to their partner. That right there, is exactly how egos are stifled.
In the case of Kaiser, though his intention was to manipulate Ness, he ended up creating an association in Ness' mind where though Ness sees his purpose in life to bring magic through football, he attributes his ability to bring magic to Kaiser, which means that in Ness' mind, he is incapable of doing it alone. I don't believe that's the case, but for Ness to prove it to himself, he has to try doing it first. The PxG match is the perfect opportunity for this, but that's not all.

Sae and Rin are also a very important example of this, since Sae knew from the start that having Rin associate him to his ego and use him as a reason to play football was a death sentence for both of them. I believe that Sae truly does want to win the Champion's league with his brother, but has let go of that dream and has tried to force Rin to do it as well to make sure both of them would reach their potential before hitting the wall that is the world level.
Reo has always attributed his dream of winning the world cup to the fact that he has Nagi by his side, and cannot really imagine achieving this dream without him. However, if Reo truly wants to evolve, I'm sure a lot of you are already anticipating this, but he has to let go of Nagi and evolve alone, which he most likely will do during the Manshine-Barcha match. Nagi himself doesn't have an objective, and has always improved as a player with the intention of helping Reo achieve his dream, which means that part of his ego is simply helping another player achieve his. Unless the both of them seperate at least temporarily, then Reo will never gain the confidence to achieve his dream alone, Nagi will never gain the ego to have his own dream and play football for the sake of his own passion, and neither of them will be able to cooperate on their common vision of winning together. And the way I know all of this ?
Is because Isagi and Bachira have already showed us the path of how a good duo functions. Bachira almost never awakened his true ego all because his loneliness made him see Isagi as essential to his well being, it forced him to look for players that would be able to keep up with his best football, and when he found them, he already thought he had won. Bachira realized that the only way he could keep playing with the players he admires and wants to rival, is by believing in his way of playing football instead of putting his belief in someone else. This is how duos survive : by having both players becoming better and fulfilled individually, and constantly pushing each other to individually become better before they rely on each other for victory.

1. To get back to Kaiser and Ness, what that means is that Ness' evolution has to come at the cost of his dependence on Kaiser, and Kaiser's evolution has to come at the cost of the introspection he has to do to understand where his true nature comes from : this specific moment.

My belief is that Kaiser's ego to incarnate the impossible isn't actually wrong, it's just taken from the wrong perspective. What Kaiser was since the very start, isn't a mindless perpatrator of violence that does it out of pleasure for crushing others : What Kaiser is, is a survivor.
\"I'll leave here someday.\"
No matter how tough the situation, no matter how much his father beat him, Kaiser never stopped believing or dreaming that he would one day free himself from his situation and rise against adversity. It might've been a small flame at first, but when his ego truly awakened was when he actually fought back for the first time. Kaiser isn't an impossible being because he is an unbeatable, violent monster, he is an impossible being because he rises against impossible odds no matter what.
\"The boy dreamed about going on a journey someday.\"
He is unfathomably resilient, and that is something that was very specifically cultivated from his experience of victimhood : Kaiser couldn't have become this kind of person if he was simply an abuser the same way his father was (which is currently what is stifling his ego), the only way he can be this impossible being is by going through what he did and surviving.
And in fact, that's also something that been shown in the manga already. After all, the only moment so far where Kaiser has showed us what could be his greatest performance, was when he had to rely on a play Isagi made to get a goal opportunity, and managed to beat 4 defenders (one of them being the best U20), culminating in a goal that's impossible to replicate even for the greatest players. Kaiser might be a self type ego that seeks impossible situations to reach flow.

A player's personality is often reflected through their playstyle : that's the case with Kaiser, with his KI symbolizing his impossible dominance, and his MV symbolizing his manipulative way of playing with people ; which is why I don't believe it's a coincidence that the one time Kaiser has truly made a play no one else could replicate was when all odds were against him. And yet ironically, this is also the goal that Kaiser hates the most, because he still hates his younger self for not having fought back until the last moment. What he sees as weakness, is what is actually his greatest strength.

Before I get to the meat of it, I want to make it known that this is my own opinion and criticism. I am an early backer from when the game was just switching over from Kickstarter. Ever since then, I've had high hopes and aspirations for the game. In the beginning, the space sim market was completely dead and many were saying PC gaming was an afterthought. I believe this game is changing both of those actively and so I still retain high hopes - though sometimes it feels like its against my better judgement due to actions (and inactions) CIG has taken. CIG's integrity as a company has been eroding gradually over the years in my eyes due to deliberate choices the company has made. I'd like to give some examples.
First, CIG started with stretch goals for backers, which we blew through with record levels of funding. Unfortunately, many of those stretch goals have yet to be fulfilled. On the whole, that's understandable as some are fairly complex to do, but there are others which seem like they'd be relatively easy and routine that haven't been done, such as the crossbow FPS weapon. CIG has plenty of experience making and implementing FPS weapons by this point and they comparatively take little development time to complete. Why hasn't it been done? When's the last time we even saw a new FPS weapon release aside from different colorations of existing ones? This and other examples like this makes us older backers feel forgotten about and, at worst, used and stepped on toward larger audiences who didn't take as large a risk as we did by putting faith in you so early.
The second point I'd like to draw attention to is the incident in which CIG decided to charge money for virtual tickets to a Citizen Con stream. We, as backers, had entrusted our money and hopes to CIG only for the company to make an attempt to charge admission for us to see what was supposed to be our yearly progress report and showcase for a game that hadn't been released yet. Surely a reasonable person could understand why this was insulting to fans of the game. It was said that this decision was made to foster a larger and more spectacular Citizen Con for the fans, but over the years other actions that seem driven by marketing and financial goals have cast doubt on this explanation for me.
A more gameplay related point is that of the F8C and F7A Mk. II ships. Initially, the F7A Mk. II was not supposed to be available to players. The F8C was only supposed to be obtainable upon completing SQ42. Now both are released into the wild and in the hands of players. What happened to the conviction to make these ships special? A, perhaps, cynical application of Occam's Razor leads me to believe it was a decision made to drive sales and finances. At best, it was an easement due to the long time development was taking. Even if the later were true, the suspicion of the former will always lurk in my mind and that of others, I'm sure; further eroding trust in CIG's decision making.
My final example, and perhaps the more recently relevant one, is that of the gradual degradation of "Death of a Spaceman" (DoaS). The first idea and design lettedocument around the concept was incredible, but so much of it has been compromised. To start, the cloning system was implemented. To be clear, the cloning aspect was always a part of DoaS, but it being implemented without medical gameplay intervention was strange. While I can understand that it may have been a necessity for gameplay realities, it was still disappointing, and now it appears to be a permanent solution - at least from a backer's perspective. Now recently we've been told that all current ship medical beds will be able to clone players back into existence. This is despite some of those medical beds not being able to treat critical injuries. How can a piece of equipment that can clone an entire human being not treat serious injuries? Where is the consistency? I think the larger point, however, is a feeling of betrayal imparted unto some of the backers who are enthusiasts of, arguably, one of the most ignored professions in the game; the medics. I, myself, am not one of these people, but I feel for them as what little profession gameplay they had has now been gutted. Entire organizations had the rug pulled out from them in the name of convenience, sadly. It begs the question "why?" and the answer that looms as the most likely isn't a pleasant one - to push and sell a new medical vehicle. I don't want to look at it so cynically, but the timing and the sudden nature of the change from out of nowhere makes the consideration of such a greed induced motive hard to shake. Especially in a world and hobby that has been riddled with greedy companies making decisions for the bottom line over the quality of gameplay recently.
So, for discussion, I'd like to hear from everyone else. Are there other examples that have deteriorated your trust in CIG over the years? Please sound off and let your voice be heard. I don't think it's too late for the company to either correct the misperception or avoid further erosion with choices in the future. Also, from one long-term backer to another, I'd like to hear what Jared ( u/therealdiscolando ) has to say on this, given his unique perspective and also the fact that he is ultimately one of us. Additionally, I'd like to invite any input Tyler ( u/CaptainZyloh ) might have as our dedicated and ever-enthusiastic Community Manager that very obviously does his damnedest for said community. Lastly, I invite any of the developers to comment because I want this project to succeed. I want CR to succeed. This black cloud that hovers over this project for some of us could be dispelled with some communication around it and I am coming from a place of concern, not anger, and promise to engage in the topic in good faith. Lastly, and just for the record, I have no intent of turning my back on the project - rather I want it to succeed in such an explosive way that anyone who disparaged it is riddled with regret for missing the experience of staying astride of its development. I firmly believe this game and company has the potential to change the face of gaming forever.

First lets take a quick look at some of the trades the Blue Jays have done mid-season in 2024:

• IF Tanner Morris (26) to MIN for $$$
  • Some sad news off the get go...after hitting just .149/.281/.213 with a .494 OPS in AAA, Morris has retired from baseball mid-season. Placed on the voluntary retirement list until his current contract expires at the end of the season.
• LHP Jimmy Robbins (26) to TEX for $$$
  • Has taken the role of emergency depth for the Rangers AAA team and has pitched just 7.1 innings and is rocking a 8.59 ERA, .321 OBA & 2.18 WHIP.
• RHP Wes Parsons (31) to CLE for $$$
  • Filling in his usual role as he uses up his last year of options. Has pitched 4.0 innings in MLB allowing 0 ER and 14.2 innings in AAA having a solid 1.84 ERA. Solid depth pitcher for them but not a mainstay.
• RHP Mitch White (29) to SFG for $$$
  • After allowing 6 ER in 10.0 IP with TOR he was DFA/Traded to SFG where he allowed 7 ER in 5.1 IP before again being DFA/Traded to MIL where has has allowed 2 ER in 3.2 IP. Seems like teams think they can fix him considering they are trading for him. MIL has also been hampered with injuries and internal demotions to their bullpen so his stay might not be long when arms return.

Now lets take a look at some of the players that left the organization in the off-season through trade/waivers that were at one point on the 40-Man roster:

• IF Santiago Espinal (29) to CIN for RHP Chris McElvain (23)
  • Not a great season for Espinal as he has declined even further from his past seasons in all aspects of the game. He is hitting just .200/.252/.284 with an .536 OPS. His defensive metrics suggests he is now a negative player on defence as well. Due to injury he has been given a solid amount of playing time too. McElvain has been solid in A+ but still looks likely to be a future reliever.
• UTL Otto Lopez (25) to SFG for $$$
  • DFA due to the middle-infleid depth the Jays had was then DFA by the SFG even when they were awarded another option year with him. MIA got him for free on waivers as the only claiming team and he has been very solid for them. He earned a quick call-up after having a 1.526 OPS in a week and is carving himself a role in the Majors with some solid hitting and strong defence. He is batting .282/.333/.564 with an .897 OPS in 39 PA. His early power display is very unsustainable though. He is already half way to his career minor league high.
• RHP Yosver Zulueta (26) to CIN via DFA Waivers
  • There was a lot of anger amongst the fanbase with his loss on waivers and while his stuff is still good the production is still no where near where it should be. In 14.1 IP in AAA he has a 5.65 ERA, .267 OBA & 2.02 while striking out 18 and walking 13. Still not sure how he remained on prospect lists as long as he has. He just hasn't been good for awhile now. He does give the vibes off the guy that will randomly break out at age 30/31.
• C Tyler Heineman (32) to NYM to BOS via DFA Waivers
  • Remains the trusty #3 catcher we knew him as. He is just 0-for-1 with 1 HBP at the Major League level but is staying warm in the Red Sox minor league system until he is needed once again. Batting .257./395/.286 with a .681 OPS in AAA. Severn is an upgrade in all departments though except the lack of magic tricks.

Finally, lets take a look into the players that left the organization in free-agency:

• 3B Matt Chapman (31) to SFG (3 Y x $18 M w/ Two Player Opt-Outs)
  • Easily the most talked about departure this season and it feels like beating a dead horse at this point but Chapman has been super terrible. Hitting just .206/.258/.341/.599 with a 73 wRC+ (1.0 bWAR / 0.1 fWAR). His strikeout rate remains as high as ever but his BB% has been nearly cut in half. He has already made 6 errors and his defence has dipped further for the 4th straight season. Chapman has just 2 extra-base hits over his last 82 PA despite having some of the best swing-rates and exit velocities in baseball. Looks like Chapman will be a SFG for the full 3 seasons.
• RHP Jordan Hicks (27) to SF (4 Y x $11.0 M)
  • Arguably the only "big" contract the Giants have signed that have given them their value for their money. Converting back to a starter has worked wonders for him as he has posted a 2.44 ERA / 3.21 FIP, .220 OBA & 1.15 WHIP. He has taken a good 3 mph off his fastball which has led to a decrease in strikeouts, whiffs and more harder contact against but it has led to an increase and sustained improvement in control. 5.0 IP does seem to be his limit most nights and there are some long-term questions about stamina and durability but so far he has been worth ever penny. If things do now wrong e can always be converted back to an RP and his contract still won't look bad.
• 2B/OF Whit Merrifield (35) to PHI (1 Y x $7 M w/ Club Option for $8.0 M)
  • Age seems to have properly caught up to Whit who is just hitting .188/.261/.300 with a .561 OPS in 80 AB with is just a 62 wRC+ (0.1 bear / -0.1 fWAR). His savant page portrays him as one of the worst hitters in baseball and his defence is now of negative value. Phillies had him hitting lead-off for 3 straight games recently where he went 1-for-15 before being demoted again.
• RHP Adam Cimber (33) to LAA (1 Y x $1.65 M)
  • After struggling with injuries and inconsistency at the end of his Jays tenor he has rebounded back with LAA to being a solid mid-usage arm. Posting a respectable 4.00 ERA, .214 OBA & 1.00 WHIP. His numbers are misleading though as outside of 2 meltdowns he has been shutdown. He is one of the heaviest used bullpen arms in baseball and has only allowed an ER in 3-of-19 appearances. Should fetch the Angels a decent prospect at the trade deadline.
• RHP Jay Jackson (36) to MIN (1 Y x $1.3 M w/ Club Option for $3.0 M)
  • Jackson has not had a great season with MIN as he is rocking a 6.20 ERA, .244 OBA & 1.28 WHIP.He has allowed at least 1 ER in more than half his appearances. It seems like only that MIN will pick-up their club option on his contract. It is unfortunate to see after how important he was for us last season. Glad he got his money though.
• SP Hyun Jin Ryu (37) to Hanwha Eagles (KBO) (8 Y x $1.6 M)
  • Ryu signed the largest contract in KBO League history this offseason which keeps him in the organization until his mid-40's. In 49.0 IP he has 5.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP & 47 SO vs. 14 BB. Haven't watched him nor seen his game-to-game production but the face value numbers don't look great. To be fair he was likely never playing most of the contract anyways.

The famous baseballer, Jackie Robinson, he once said: “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” I could not agree more. That is why I try to make as much impact on my faces’ lives as possible. After all, they have done so much for me. It is the least I can do. Unlike them, I need not fear what people think of me. So I can be brave where they are weak. For I will just be someone else tomorrow.

Born in Russia to the Grand Duke Nikolai Kravinoff, Dmitri Nikolaievich Smerdyakov was treated like trash by his noble father and his working class mother. Young Dmitri was approached one day by Gustav Fiers, who was impressed by the boy's impressions and paid for a trip to Karl Fiers academy. There, Dmitri would learn to master the arts of disguise, vocal impression and infiltration, becoming the Chameleon upon his graduation.
He'd move to America and use his talents to pull off high-scale burglary, working for any group that could afford his fee, including the Communist party, Hydra or the Green Goblin. His elicit activity brought him into conflict with the Hulk, Iron Man and most often Spider-Man, all of whom had to act with great caution when the Chameleon was in town. After all, which one of them could tell if that unassuming civilian or their own ally was preparing to stab them in the back?
Dmitri has some mental hangups over his time with the Kravinoffs. He’s managed to repress the memories and considered himself good friends with his half-brother Kraven. In reality, he was more like a whipping boy and slave to the Hunter, and when he has to wrestle with those feelings, he can mentally revert to that scared little boy with no strong sense of identity or independence. But when he’s able to move past these feelings, the Chameleon has proved himself as a powerful, manipulative force, finding his place as temporary Crime Master of New York and member of the Sinister Six.

During one of Dmitri’s mental breaks, he began to believe that he was his deceased half-brother, Kraven the Hunter. Realistic Masks

• Originally, the Chameleon employed realistic masks and hairpieces to disguise himself as individuals. He kept these pieces in a multi-pocketed vest, allowing him to alter his appearance on the fly
• After getting one quick glance at Thunderbolt Ross, the Chameleon is able to make a perfect mask of the general’s face in a matter of minutes
• When the Hulk is tearing the Chameleon’s car apart, he quickly changes into the guise of Rick Jones to calm the Hulk, then manipulate him into breaking a friend out of prison
• At one point, he used a gun that squirts fast-drying fluid, which kills victims via suffocation and leaves the Chameleon with a perfect mask of their face
• He once wore four masks layered on top of his plain, white one

Malleable Flesh

• He gets a procedure done to his body that makes his flesh completely malleable, changing in response to electrical stimuli. He also had a specially designed costume that reacted the same way to stimuli. The final piece was a control system built into a belt that could memorize and store any face that the Chameleon encountered. All of these pieces allowed the Chameleon to completely copy someone’s appearance and replicate it through thought alone.

• When working for the Superior Spider-Man’s team of “reformed” villains, the Superior Six, Chameleon used hologram tech to aid in his disguises. This let him appear as Loki, with his massive horns and Asgardian outfit being formed with the tech. It otherwise works more or less like his powers did.
• Most recently, the Chameleon requires the use of a serum to be able to change his features at will
  • As soon as the Chameleon touches someone, he’s able to look exactly like that person. This can also make the other person temporarily swap forms with the Chameleon (or other users of the serum).

Guns

• Uses a dart gun that instantly knocks a man out with a shot to the shoulder
• Uses a chemical gas gun to instantly knock out Captain America, keeping him out for a few minutes
• A dart gun that leaves victims unconscious and foaming from the mouth

• A syringe full of sedative chemicals that KOs Spider-Man and makes Deadpool woozy for a minute until he heals
• A syringe hidden in a prop torch puts Spider-Man to sleep immediately
• He injects Spider-Man with a poisonous chemical. It brings on extreme nausea and vertigo, then later knocks Spider-Man out for two days straight.

Other

• Snuck into Captain Stacy’s room and administered a few drops of sedatives to Stacy’s decanter. This kept him unconscious all day, allowing the Chameleon to assume his identity and steal priceless pieces of art.
• An aerosol can of sedatives
• One time, he coated his clothing in an odorless sedative chemical. When Spider-Man grabs him by his jacket, the hero falls unconscious in a matter of seconds.

• He uses some kind of electric weapon on a shallow body of water, shocking Spider-Man, Husk and Deadpool into unconsciousness

• He’s helped to design Life Model Decoys that look exactly like Richard and Mary Parker with the goal of investigating Peter Parker and finding out about Spider-Man’s identity. While the false Mary developed a conscience and defied her programming, the false Richard was outfitted with a combat form.
• He holds a gun to the head of a simulacra of Mary Jane. When Spidey determines it’s a fake instead of his real wife, it poofs into smoke.

Miscellaneous

• After coming across a cave full of assorted scrap mechanics, Chameleon builds a missile from the pieces. He later says he “found” the missile, so who knows. At any rate, the missile is strong enough to KO the Hulk when they collide.
• One time, he inexplicably escaped from Spider-Man’s grasp and disappeared from the room
• He kidnaps Spider-Man and imprisons him in Ravencroft Asylum. Here in the US at least we have whole months of Awareness. This one is dedicated to psychiatry.

Towards political activists. Towards women. Towards people of color. Towards autistic people. Shit, just towards people who are a little bit odd, but not dangerous!!
People have been killed and tortured and it still goes on today. The degree to which it is hidden from the public is so disturbing and soul-crushing. And here we are in a propaganda spell encouraging people with infographics and memes to sign up to harm themselves with neurotoxic drugs, sharing hotline numbers that ensure you will have a violent confrontation with the police at your wish. Taylor Swift — who I am sympathetic too in certain cases — has made an album glorifying the legacy of psychiatric terrorism, to which I am positive she has never encountered herself based on how she wrote about it.
The only pop star who should be writing about that shit is Britney Spears.
What if we were all made aware of this! Damn. I’m almost at a year from my cold turkey and the more I learn the more horrible it seems. How are people here staying hopeful? There’s only so few places for us to go and be heard. Even here there are brigadiers hellbent on denying our experiences.

   I work very slow. I don’t have problems working faster for a while, but if is too much starts to annoy me. We works humankind needs recurses to act and solve our existencial and material problems. But i can’t exclude other forces among work like capital, the human “progress”. The parameters for my work is something abstract, technological, creative and philosophical. I often like write about ideas, deal with machines and computers, reading about political philosophy. I have problems to get a job on those areas because i dont have iniciative to chase it.

   I determine the quality of work if it brings expected results and seems organized. The same for a purchase. I don’t pay any attention for it, i just want may these things fulfill their role, whatever the cost.

I would know he is a professional because he/she have a whole theorical and pratical (how to do) informations about something. Well informed, decisive, calm and chill, deeply in their knowledge.

I fix that with research and studying about this problem. I also look for discussions and informations about some topic and after i could act or not about it. I guess is worse, in my mind is. But people often says compliments me about my work and proactive attitude.

I say is terrible. I dont like my job (i work with security in a airport). I really want to get out here because its not the area that i’m good for. I don’t have a standard here. I don’t pay any attetion for it.

A whole is the sum of the partes. The parts its the delimited entities and can’t be the whole itself. Yes, they are equivalent to the whole.

Logical means the correct way to think. In my understanding is no contradiction. No, people often confuse logical with opinions and feelings, they make appeals for common sense and call it logical. I dont’t mind being logical all time, i know logical its a tool for some subjects not whole life subjects. I rather being rational with evidences and good arguments of all types to speak.

1. What is hierarchy? Give examples of hierarchies. Do you need to follow it? Why or why not? Explain how hierarchy is used in a system you are familiar with.

Hierarchy is an “effective” way to organize most people in society, and its a good way to exploit at the same time. I dont need it, i work better for my own because i have a good vision of situations. Hierarchy its just a way to organize people with no imagination, inteligence or self control to works better and become “usefull” for society. Its a tool for efficience and control.

1. What is classification? How does classification work? Why is it needed and where is it applied? Give examples.

Classification is a way to agroup similar things or parts of the whole for better understanding. As a said before is for best understanding. In theorical subjects, but it can be used in any area or activitie to became easier. In socionics for an example: Too much categories (making me sleepy sometimes) but get easier to understand.

1. Are your ideas consistent? How do you know they are consistent? How do you spot inconsistency in others' ideas?

Yes i’m. Because i have evidences and observations to show and prove my point. Normally using logic, or evidences that can’t fit in their positions.

No, i can’t. I just use arguments, ask polite to someone does something or giving advices. I just can’t feel comfortable doing this.

I prepare myself to get something, i plan in my head and think about the worse possibilities before. If i want a work i prepare myself, for an example i studied english a lot to get a better job in airport (i continue looking for an one new job).

I just became independent of them. I organize my life in a way i can’t be bothered by them. When i need to do, or defend my interests i just use argumentations and my polite nature to get it.

1. When do you think it's ok to occupy someone's space? Do you recognize it?

NO. GOD NO. I hate the idea of became annoy or occupy other’s space, because i hate it and i avoid people like this. Yes, i often knows when someone is occupying my space and avoid it as a hell.

No. Unfortunately i don’t. I don’t have a strong will. Because of that i feel myself stopped in life :’)

I satisfy my pshysical sens with food, coffee and tea (too much) and video game. I drawn to video game and confortable experiences in my home. I dont get out there often.

1. How do you find harmony with your environment? How do you build a harmonious environment? What happens if this harmony is disturbed?

I don’t find it. My room is usually a mess. My harmony It’s disturbing when someone takes that relaxation away from me.

1. What does comfort mean to you? How do you create it? Comfort is where I can recharge my energy. That's basically my sofa and my bed.
   
2. How do you express yourself in your hobbies? How do you engage yourself with those things?
   

I express myself as very imaginative in my hobbies, like video-game and reading. When writing i usually make a lot of good and rational arguments from different sources.

I have never done something like this. But if i pay someone to do, i will ask for something classical like mafia office. I trust someones else because i do not have a good asthetic taste.

I don’t express my emotions and public and i usually see people who does that as inaprippriate. Examples of inappropriate expressions of emotions is: Crying or any reason, anger, happiness, and etc.

I’m very open with people i like or knows enough. I can be silly and laugh a bit. I don’t have any ideia about how i affect other people.

No i can’t. I’m very sloopy trying to be friendly so i usually don’t try. I don’t know. I think i don’t care about and this is it.

Just when someone being openly agressible with me. I usually dont mind to improve anyones mood, but when i do i try to cheer up a little people who i like with advices, or when i flirt with somone i like. Or when i know someones who faces problems with social skills like i had.

Affect me when they’re judging me by their standards, or when annoying me to do something quick.

With most people i put a big distance. With people i like i’m very warm with hugs, kisses and stupidy jokes (not too much). I can deal greatly with this space.

Based on my conversations topics, and how openly and honest the person acts towards me. I don’t know it affect my relationship.

1. How do you move from a distant relationship to a close one? What are the distinguishing characteristics of a close relationship?

With conversations when we have na oportunity. They are often openly and social people, who carry on with serious and silly conversations with black humor included and also helps me when i need (rare)

I don’t know, i just have my beliefs and values but i dont think a lot about it. I dont know where it from. Yes, but only when the conversations shows na oportunity and never mix moral and rational subjects.

I usually knows what i did for be treated like this. But if i dont, i think they doesnt have reasons for this so i just get myself away from. If they take iniciative to speak, i’ll be open to understand i say sorry.

1. How can you tell someone has the potential to be a successful person? What qualities make a successful person and why?

Someone who have strong will, good theorical undestanding and pratical knowledge too. Because those skills i said, allows anyone to act in any area.

1. Where would you start when looking for a new hobby? How do you find new opportunities and how do you choose which would be best?

When i get depressive for doing not all day. So i start to look for something new. I make cost benefit analysis, and think about the long term benefits.

No. They need to be. If isn’it dont have any effect in real world so: whats the point?

When i swim i just want to get some fun. Chicken is a good domesticated animal for humankind feed their stomachs. Science is the best way to achieve innovations and overcome all disaster that nature put on our paths.

Good ones: Inteligent, good memory and associative thinking, very adaptable, very calm and chill, a good problem solver, no intrusive. Bad ones: Revanchist, very critic, relationship issues, arrogance, problem with rules and deadliness, burocratic issues. I hate daily life.

No they not change. The essence of people’s character never really change. People just change when they make a good self critic and its very hard sees someone who does that.

1. How do you feel and experience time? Can time be wasted? How? Yes. You can estimate how much time a task takes. You can plan how you wanna use your time. You can set deadlines for whatever you are doing. Time can be wasted on things you don't value because you can't gain back time.

Time is very important to me. I can see things very distant in my imagination but act abour this is hard. So i waste times often with relaxing times or doing activities out my plans. I dont set deadlines, i just know what i want to do and for how long to give the next step. I guess the absence of deadlines destroys my progress.

1. Is there anything that cannot be described with words? What is it? If so, how can we understand what it is if language does not work?

No it isnt exist. All things can be described by words instead being difficult to do.

1. How do you anticipate events unfolding? How can you observe such unfoldments in your environment?

I usually antecipate the worse possibilitie and act towards that to avoid it. I think if this worse never happen, i’ll be surprise for something godd and will be prepared for anything bad.

1. In what situations is timing important? How do you know the time is right to act? How do you feel about waiting for the right moment?

Every situation. We need to know how long you can waste time and when stop. Waiting for a rigth momment is important for not waste energy with bullshit. The right momment is always builded before.

1. There are four good Fortress Gun possibilities in Operations: 2 in Monte Grappa for the Austrians, 1 in Monte Grappa for the Italians, and 1 in Empire’s Edge for the Italians. Any other Fortress Gun opportunities in the game are fool’s gold.
   
2. The most entertaining Fortress Gun experience is as an Austrian in the San Rocco Turret (Sector 3) when everyone else is back in Sector 2. You’re firing a one-shot weapon with a delay of several seconds, so you need to anticipate where the Italians are moving and target places where they often congregate or need to pass through. Very few people realize that the mountain landscape background can be used to target and aim. The exit from the church in Sector 1 is marked by a notch in the mountain directly above it. The line of rocks between 1 and 2 where Italians tend to get stuck is marked by the tree line on the mountains. The long road from the church toward the tunnel corresponds to the top of the mountain ridge behind it. Once you start experimenting with this principle, you can start hitting almost anything below you with high reliability.
   
3. Many people rush into the Fortress Gun at the beginning of the second or third defenses on Monte Grappa because they want to blast away at the Airship. This is a mistake. The Fortress Gun does relatively little damage to the Airship unless you know where to target to destroy parts, and even then you need a lot of solid hits. You also simply can’t hit it a lot of the time, because as soon as it heads toward you it’s out of range. Meanwhile, Italians will swarm over your objective and take away your gun. Target them instead.
   
4. Those big piles of shells next to Fortress Guns will explode and kill you without taking out the gun, giving an opportunity for other people to take the Fortress Gun from you. Always blow those up safely before you get into the gun.
   
5. When the Austrians are defending Sectors 3 and 4 on Monte Grappa, the best use of the Fortress Gun is to blast away at infantry and kill as many of them as possible. San Rocco Turret in Sector 3 is hard to play this way because most players defend the bunker, which doesn’t count for the objective. Sometimes when you are in the Fortress Gun, you are the only player trying to kill Italians up on the surface. Make the best of it, but it usually won’t last.
   
6. Defending Sector 4 on Monte Grappa, on the other hand, is a delight. The Mocheni Turret is probably the most reliably enjoyable and sustainable stationary weapon experience in the game. Knock out as many Italians as you can when they first run over the hill from Sector 3 and become visible. You can also use this gun to take out spawn campers behind you, which is probably the greatest courtesy you can do for your team.
   
7. If the Italians manage to capture Sector 4 in Monte Grappa, the Mocheni Turret targeting Sector 5 becomes a less fun version of the San Rocco Turret targeting Sector 2. I have never had much luck attacking Austrians at Matteo’s Bridge from here, but you can use it to make the outside trenches at the Mocheni Supply Bunker inhospitable. Either way, this position is at best moderately entertaining.
   
8. The Fortress Gun in Sector 1 of Empire’s Edge, the Stefano Battery, is (for me) the only redeeming feature of that map. Many people realize that as an Italian you can use this gun to pulverize the Italians in the two villas in front of you, but this position has many more possibilities than just that. I like using it to take out entrenched snipers. If you stay in the gun into Sector 3, it can also effectively control objectives A and C, especially if you have a good enough team to hold the rubble that’s left.
   
9. Many people will try to take the Fortress Gun away from you, but the game will protect you from this if you know how. When you are knocked out of the gun and begin repairing it, hold down both the “repair” and the “enter” buttons until the gun is fully repaired. If you were the last one in the gun, the people trying to grab it out from under you will almost always fail.
   
10. The Repair Tool is the best tool in the game, but it is very temperamental. If you are hammering away at the broken Fortress Gun with your tool, you are not repairing it. I have found little rhyme or reason over the years in what makes the Repair Tool begin wrenching (i.e. work), but angling somewhat to the left or right seems to help.
    

Their insistence and outright delusion that Abbie is a "typical teenager doing typical teenager things." There's a difference between setting her up to do the best she can with the hand she's been dealt in life, and outright ignoring the hand she's been dealt in life in favor of just pretending she's like every other teen. They're setting her up for daily discomfort and permanent failure because they want to insist that she's going to be a coffee barista riding her adaptive bike to work every day. She's 19 now, how long can they carry on that delusion before it becomes apparent even to them and EVEN to their most devoted followers that it will never happen? (The followers going on with the delusion are even worse.) Till she's 21? 25?
The truth is Abbie is at the level of a 2 year old baby at most. There's nothing wrong with that. It's not her fault. It's not something she or they need to be ashamed of; birth is a lottery and things happen. She doesn't want her nails painted. She doesn't want to go to loud music festivals and be ripped from her comfort zone to go traveling to a strange place every month. She doesn't want prom (I LOVE Night to Shine and have attended myself, but let's be real, Abbie isn't enjoying it and the attendees who were on Abbie's level usually just stayed in the calming/sensory room). She wants music, toys, food, magazines to rip, and her comfortable spot on the couch. And while I understand that she can't just lie around at home all the time, she needs activities that match her cognitive level and not purely activities that her parents, brother, Summer, etc enjoy.
I remember an old video from about 3 or 4 years ago where Abbie was watching a toddler show--maybe it was Barney I forget--and she was HAPPY, like genuinely happy and not the "happy" Asa and Priscilla insist she is in every video. She was bouncing, had a real smile on her face, making happy vocals especially when the musical parts come on. And Priscilla was standing there crying about how "sad" it was because her 16-ish-year-old loved Barney so much. That's cool that your daughter's happiness and enjoyment makes you sad, Priscilla. I'm sorry you didn't get the mini me you wanted but don't make that your daughter's problem. Get therapy to learn how to accept who she really is. There've been videos where Abbie's received sensory toys from fans, relatives, etc and she had a genuinely fun time playing with them but her parents would either take them away because they were "annoying" or because "they're not age appropriate." Get over it and accept that there's no "age appropriate" and your daughter is 19 by chronological age only, and let her have what she ENJOYS. Enough with the fantasies about a coffee barista riding her bike to work. Yes, there are plenty of places and programs that employ special needs adults but the reality is Abbie isn't capable of performing even the most rudimentary tasks required to maintain employment, even in these programs. She was taken out of her vocational program likely for this reason, don't give me BS about "she graduated early." Abbie's life is that of a toddler forever, and these two need to accept and prepare for that reality instead of shoehorning her into this teenage fantasy she'll never be able to maintain.
Just to give an example of a channel that does what Asa and Priscilla SHOULD be doing for Abbie, there's a channel I follow on Tiktok of a girl with Angelman Syndrome and her family. This girl is on the same cognitive level as Abbie, around 2 years old at age 16. Her AWESOME family, instead of exploiting her and trying to force her to fit into neurotypical fantasies, accepts that. She has a room full of Squishmallows and fun sensory toys, she has an occupational therapist come in weekly to help her with motor skills and walking, she gets glowsticks and water tables and dangling keys and she loves them, etc. And her mother isn't making money off of the videos of her, she's uploading them to show what life is like for someone living with a rare condition and what their family life is like. They are an extremely close knit and loving family and all of the siblings do everything they can to get their sister involved--on HER level. Her mom doesn't try to force her to be just like her neurotypical siblings or attend all of the activities they attend. This is what Fathering Autism could have been if A & P weren't just delusional, narcissistic, and greedy.

This is a highly exploratory post inspired by some books I delved into recently as well as exfatloss' recent post about satiety (why would salsa and sour cream be such appetite enhancers? What is it about them??).
I guess we sometimes need to engage in knowledge 'fishing expeditions' and just hope some patterns emerge. This is a sub with a lot of first hand experience various food / macro restrictions who pays attention to what they eat and how they feel about it more than the general population.
Please share your accounts of various cravings / satiety experiences while on different restricted diets. It can be something you experience now or have experienced in the past. It can be something you have noticed in your pets or farm animals (we're not that different from them after all!). It can be transient, or something you experience your whole life. I would like to collect these hunge satiety narratives.
Give as much background as you can remember - what was your diet (approx macros, types of food). How long did craving / satiety last? Did you give into it? Does it drive you to overeat / undereat? Did it feel like the mental 'want' was disconected from physical intake (ie. My stomach is distended from overeating, but still crave some more)? How long does the drive to eat / avoid food lasts? What was your energy / mood levels at the time? Do you have any medical conditions that may influence it? Were you taking any drugs or supplements at the time? What is your hunch on why the craving / satiety happened? What are the most delicious things you've ever tasted? If you had them repeatedly, would they lose appeal? What foods feel satisfying? What foods make you not able to take another bite?
To have any chance at patterns emerging, I'd prefer us to stick to natural products driving cravings / satiety or minimally processed foods. For processed food, please indicate the ingredients on it, including any fortification that may apply in your country. The more complex the ingredient list, the harder it will be!
We know so little of how hunger, satiety and cravings work, and yet it is so important. This interplay of 'feelings' ensures an animal (incl we) can meet its energy needs and (more impressively!) get a huge array of chemicals needed to buid and maintain its body structures and keep going a huge number of chemical processes going.
Given access to a variety of (natural) food - hunger, satiety and cravings manage to get this 'procurement' system going to astonishing precision. How?
What things can a body trigger cravings for? Is it just minerals? Macros? Amino acids? Types of fat? When does satiety kick in? Is it driven by energy needs being met? Micro nutrient needs being met? A combination of both? Which macro and which micro nutrient combos? Do other food compounds (e.g. flavonoids, protease inhibitors, anti nutrients) make a difference? Do mildly toxic plant compounds (tannins? Protease inhibitors?) trigger satiety? Can certain macros not be processed corectly into energy without given micro nutrients? Does the body know & try to correct that? How does the body know it has a need for something? How does it turn that need into a sensation of hunger / satiety? How does it know / learn what external food product can meet that need?

This is a weird one I think but I've recently noticed how I sometimes "miss" my depressive episodes. Whenever I have them I feel horrible and I want out of it because it's just this horrible numb feeling following me everywhere I go.
Yet for example right now, I miss it. In a way I felt comfortable just being in my bed or on my computer for the whole day. Listening to some music and not being able to manage my time. When I felt really bad I'd stay up until who knows how long, just having something on in the background to occupy my mind and I remembef falling asleep on my desk regularly because I just didn't have the energy to get up and move.
And so I wonder why I now feel nostalgic for that. It is such a terrible time whenever I actually have an episode so I don't know why I would feel this way.
Does anyone understand what I mean? Is it maybe just being comfortable within your own misery? I genuinely have no idea. Or maybe it is the way that time feels and how different it moves along

You want to be committed into a relationship for a long term, but appearance is not always the key factor, the most overlooked part is their attitude and personality, since that is not an attribute visible to the naked eye at first glance.
Money is out of the question, it does matter if they are rich or not, even if they have fancy attire and plenty of cash to spare, despite them being well off visually, but you are stumbled to learn that he or she has no respect towards others or themselves.
You encounter a good looking (not hot like a model) man or woman, who earns enough, but remain indifferent to what job they have, instead looking more on if they will treat you as a decent human rather than trash, as that is more important than their looks alone.
It's like this:

He's doesn't rely on your money, as he earns a decent amount from his own job.	He only wants to be with you for this reason: you come from a rich family.

So to put it, would you rather be in a long term relationship with an:

Very happy that everything has calmed down with Kitten and her school. She has to deal with a one-week suspension from the Morning Run but everything else is cool. Oh well, we did a very early 5K in the Park. I'm at my internship waiting for things to start.
I had really been looking forward to meeting up with Benjamin, Jadzia, and Julian yesterday. But, huh?... I had built up a lot of things in my mind that were not true. I thought Benjamin coming over was going to be some type of audition for the Eliza Doolittle part next year. No, I learned, I already have it if I want it. I had imagined that Julian was coming to see whether I could hit that G5 in I Could Have Danced All Night. Julian: "What??? We know you can't! You would just sing an octave lower and 90% of the Cast B Eliza's that you would be coaching won't be able to hit it either." And why was Jadzia there? I was all wrong on that as well. Actually, the entire company wanted to come to hang out but no one else was staying in town on their break.
Yes, they were coming to see me but since there might be some big decisions to make I had I wanted Heidi there. Well, in fact, why not the entire Big Six? Kitten had her lesson with Arturo yesterday so we all met up afterwards and ordered from the Asian takeout place near the Goldsteins.
Most of the time was spent reminiscing. There was so much to talk and laugh about! Muma especially loved sharing her memories. They also caught us up on what happened on their tours of Florida and the Gulf Coast. We filled them in on the wedding in Scotland, our summer jobs, modeling, my internship at the agency, and my professional performing arts school.
Q (to Benjamin): What's happening with the Company next year?
We have grown much tighter as a company and just about everyone has already committed to returning for the second year. We learned a lot about how to improve the scheduling. Basically September will be prep and getting out the training videos, October-November is Leg 1. All of December is off. Jan-Feb is Leg 2. March is off. April-May is Leg 3. June-August is off for some, summer stock for others. The money will also be a bit better.
Based on the word-of-mouth reputation we have created, we have enough inquiries to fill all our residencies for the year. Yes, there will be some college and community theater groups. But most of the interest is coming from public and private secondary schools.
Q (to Benjamin): Any changes to the model?
Absolutely not. It worked! It's an arts education program, we are teaching artists, and we promote school reform. We know we have changed the lives of students, teachers, and institutions. We want to keep doing that.
Q (to me): How do I feel about the role of Eliza Doolittle?
Well, it is a dream role and I am very much more of an Eliza than a Black Nellie. I'm reading Pygmalian now and lots of background information on Wikipedia on Lady.
Q (to me): What about you? What have you discovered about yourself since you left the tour?
I learned a lot about who I am and also a lot about who I am not. I love my new school. I like learning independently more than sitting in a class. My advisor says I'm an autodidact. I love working on projects and tying my work to research. BTW, please tell Miles that after the summer I will be sitting for the Microsoft Office Excel competency test. I'm taking several CLEP tests for college credit, too. My school is supporting me with all of this and I see that this is a type of college experience I will want as well.
Q (to me): Will gains outweigh risks?
Benjamin: We know that rejoining the company would be like you going to a traveling boarding school for your entire junior year of high school. The kids of circus performer families used to be called 'artistes.' That's basically what you would be. We want you but we can find another teaching artist to do this role. In good conscience we will only take you on if this is what you really and want
You would have to weigh the gains of participating in our project against the sacrifice you, your family, and Heidi would make.
Heidi: Wait a second! No, the word "sacrifice" didn't apply to me when Lita was with the company. In fact, we grew stronger by being apart. And certainly "sacrifice" won't apply if Lita jumps on the tour again. We always knew that this is the type of future ahead of us.
Jadzia: Wow.
Q (to me): What have you learned about yourself professionally?
I used to imagine myself joining a modern dance company. But that, I can see, is not going to happen. It is not where my talent lies. I had worked very hard to audition for Disney but was not selected. I actually thank the heavens for the reject. I can't envision myself becoming another Zendaya. I loved the modeling work I did but can't picture myself doing it for 20 or 30 years. My agent dropped me because I'm not aggressive enough in auditioning.
Julian: Ouch!
Me: This week I started interning at the modeling agency. But what I find fascinating, is not the modeling, but the human behaviors I see. In the agency I see examples of excellence and professionalism. I will be writing about this for my final academic project.
Q (to me): How does all this apply to the work you might do with the company next year?
Looking back I see I enjoyed the teaching part of my work more than anything else. I made so many friends! My birthday was last month and I'm amazed how many people I met during the tour reached out to me. I liked how every residency each week presented new challenges that we had to respond to. Benjamin, I loved how you saw the problems with each residency as learning opportunities and helped us have focus and goals. There may not be a lot of money in being an educator, but I think my place in life might be as a teaching artist. I guess that Heidi will just have to be the big breadwinner for us.
Benjamin: You do know you have very unique talents when you work with students and even adults?
Me: Thank you.
I was in the fish bowl with people staring at me for about as long as I could take it. Kitten spotted what was happening and brought out her guitar. She started playing and singing the Sinatra songs from In the Wee Small Hours. Julian knew the music and asked whether he could play along with the piano. We had a lot of fun. From Kitten playing the album incessantly around two houses for about 2 weeks, the Fam could sing along a bit.
It's a very melancholy album and maybe that sets the tone for the bittersweet decisions we have to make in the days ahead.

Hello everyone,
I thought I would share my thoughts on my Iceberg Green EV9 land, with tow package. Some notes on my settings and car usage: I have all software updates installed, use the car in normal drive mode, and most frequently am using i-pedal regen. I have everything enabled in the car except for digital key and the car charger cable lock. I use a NFC card for unlock, lock, and start. I have throttled at-home AC charging so that my charger maxes out at 30A (or about 7 kw):
What works well/I like:

1. Efficiency. I am getting 3.0 kWh, at least, and that was in colder winter spring conditions here in the Boston area. The car does demand more energy on the highway (no surprise) but it really sips energy around town. The city driving can be amazingly efficient (3.3 or higher kWh). I do a combo of highway and city driveway.
2. The heat pump air conditioning system. Heating and cooling is fast, very efficient, and clearly helps to extend range in the winter. I can see high spikes (up to 15kw when I turn on the system), but once the car is to temp, is stay level at 1-2 kw, or less. Very impressive.
3. Quietness of ride. Compared to my wife's relatively new sienna, this ride is very quiet. Its really nice rot finally have a car that is quiet enough for easy hands free telephone conversation and lower music volume.
4. The acceleration of the car. Holy mackerel. I have never had an EV before so driving a car this large and heavy that can go 0-60 in 5 seconds is a revelation. And yes, I do floor it very occasionaly and am still getting great efficiency. If you drive it hard all the time, and you will burn thru the energy in battery a lot faster.
5. Lane centering, self steering, and cruise control (the prob have acronyms but I dont know what they are). Can this car completely self drive? Defeintily not. But it's really nice to take the hands off the wheel for short periods of time. The radar cruise control works really well and will brake well under most circumstances.
6. The room for 2nd and 3rd row passengers. There is tons of room in the second row, and the 3rd is excellent comparatively to other offerings. If you haul kids, they will be very happy.
7. The regen settings and the E-GMP platform as a whole. The regen options are amazing. One reason why I get the efficiency I do is I largely am in i-pedal, auto, and low regeneration settings, depending on where I am driving. They clearly put a a lot of thought into how all components of the system should operate together. So far AC charging at home and DC fast charging using EA stations has worked very well. I am very impressed by this platform, although admittedly I dont have a basis for comparison.
8. The option to use the car is a whole home backup during power outages using the upcoming bi directional chargers. Said chargers haven't been released yet, but using 100kw battery in the car to power certain circuits in a home is a much more elegant idea than dropping 15-25k on a stand alone 10-20kw system. And I bet here in MA I will eventually get paid for allowing the utility to take power from the battery during times of high demand. Love that idea.
9. The infotainment system. I am coming form a ICE car. The infotainment has so many screens and useful settings. Navigation could be improved, but I am still enjoying the system. The EV menu especially is great, and really helps me to understand really time energy consumption and regeneration. My guess is Tesla does all of this much better, but still, I really like most if it, except for the maps "app" which sucks. I use CarPlay, google maps, and apple maps instead.
10. the stereo system. Yes it's a little lacking in the base department, but between the lower road noise and decent speakers, I enjoy it, especially the surround mode feature.
11. The small things. Wireless apple CarPlay, auto high beams, auto windshield wipers, heated/ventilated seats, LED (or LCD?) rearview mirror, passenger talk, and second row sun shades which cover almost the entire window - all work much better than expected. I use all and really appreciate the functionality and ease of use of all of these features.
12. OTA updates and kia connect in general. Again its sounds like Tesla does all of this better, but I have had 5 updates on the car since purchase. Kia is clearly trying to improve the functionality and reliability of the car via these OTA updates. I also appreciate the features in kia connect, even though they are not mind blowing. I have never had a car that I could pre-air condition before. Its a nice change.

What I Dont like:

1. As some others on this sub have mentioned the car exhibits is some lateral movement especially at higher speeds when the car goes over bumps. To me, the movement is minor and it doesnt bother me. But when it happens, I am reminded that I am not really driving a sports car. It's a fast SUV.
2. Not being able to keep the car in I-pedal. Others have mentioned this too. This might be regulator specified though.
3. Some of the safety features. There are some many it's mind blowing. But I keep my Yakima Exo hitch system on at all times (collapsed) which means I have to disable one feature every time I drive (I must hold down the center console "P" button for three seconds or else the car performs emergency breaking as it thinks its going to hit the EXO).
4. Not beings able to have all door handles unlock any/everytime a request is sent to the car to unlock a door. I know this is a safety feature, but its annoying that I cant turn it off.
5. Feeling like enabling my phone as a digital key might significantly reduce battery life. I would like to use this feature, but am more interested in have a reliable car that can fall asleep and give its 12V a break.

Needless to say, I love the car. So long as it continues to be dependable, I will continue to love it.

I work because I have no choice, that's how the world I was born is and that's how I'm going to live, I admire those who try to change the course of things like a superhero but I'm a mere citizen.
Because people have dreams and goals and they can't achieve what they want without money unless they're lucky enough to be born into an elite family, if so they won the lucky roulette wheel of life.
I don't work well in heavy environments, I survived only 1 day in a factory because a woman keep screaming at me, everyone tried to convince me to try harder but I was feeling to overwhelmed.
How do you determine the quality of work? How do you determine the quality of a purchase? Do you pay any attention to it
Result.
I'm a bit picky with the quality of my stuff, especially the fabric of my clothes. It's because of comfort but also for aesthetics.
There is a professional next to you. How do you know they are a professional? How do you evaluate their skill?
They get the job done on time and well done. I don't think there's only one way to do things, we are all taught in a certain way but then we also adapt, we end up creating our own way of doing things that work for us.

It depends, I usually learn by trying until it works but I can't always use this technique so I seek tutorials or ask for help.
Definitely, I'm very paranoid about my job, I hate feeling incompetent. If I have the conditions and knowledge to take the initiative to do something at work, I'll do it, but if I'm insecure then I'd rather stay quiet I don't want to mess things up.
How do you measure the success of a job? What standard do you use? Do you pay attention to it? When should you deviate from this standard?
I like easy jobs, constant stress is not for me. Easy, the money, the free time I will have, the responsibilities (few I expect) and the effort.

Logic to me is something that makes sense, when your actions and words are coherent and when you take into account all the factors to make a correct decision. Contrary to what the Alphas may believe, Logic is not coldness, in fact, to be completely logical you have to take the emotions of others and your own into account, otherwise you are just emotionally unavailable. For example, killing half the population just because someone killed your cat is not logical, you're actually being driven just by emotions.
What is hierarchy? Give examples of hierarchies. Do you need to follow it? Why or why not? Explain how hierarchy is used in a system you are familiar with.
In short, it's when you're on the first floor and need to climb the stairs to get to the second, you may be able to pay someone to build an elevator to get up there faster, or you can't afford it and you have to overcome all the conditions, shortness of breath, pain in your legs, the stairs that are old and falling apart...
Hierarchy is something natural and will always exist, no matter how much you hate it, the world is not a fair place and there will always be someone eating fried chicken in a lamborghini at the expense of a child who makes clothes for shein.

I'm usually an introspective person, so even when my ideas are incoherent I think about them at some point and "correct" the incoherence, unless I'm really emotional I think that during those moments no one is coherent.

Usually no, first of all I don't like to force anyone to do anything because I don't like to be forced either, second that I'm not good at forcing people especially strangers and it's the main reason to have been bullied and still have problems with people walking over me.
What I do is that I tell the advantages of doing something the way I want or admit that it would be convenient for me.
What can happen is when I do something for a person over and over again and they never reciprocate, and there is when I can be a manipulative and childish (passive-agressive)
How do you deal with opposition? What methods do you use to defend your interests?
It depends on the situation, I react badly if it's the example I gave earlier. If someone starts trying to control me indirectly, I can react two ways, or I play dumb for the sake of peace or the manipulation goes directly against my interests and in that case I walk away (with strangers) or protest (people close to me).
When do you think it's ok to occupy someone's space? Do you recognize it?
When they occupy yours is the only situation I can think of right now.

I don't know what others think.
It depends if it's about something I'm sure I want, for example a lot of people say I'm crazy for wanting to leave the country but I made that choice for myself and that's what I'm going to do, if I don't change my mind until then (which usually doesn't happen). Otherwise I think I can be seen as lazy, I need a very strong motivation that comes from myself.
How do you satisfy your physical senses? What examples can you give? What physical experiences are you drawn to?
I really like hot baths and pleasant smells. I'm a bit paranoid about my own smell, I'm always putting on deodorant for example.
On the other hand I'm not very good with my internal health, I have to force myself to remember to drink water and food is optional, I don't usually eat breakfast and especially at work I only eat salty snacks or soup most time. I tend to eat more when I want to be greedy or have food available, if I have to do it then I don't eat or I make something simple. I have a friend who judges me for it (I think she has strong Si).
I like some extreme activities, for example I've done canoeing which I loved and every summer I go to the scariest carousels at the fair, I feel free.
How do you find harmony with your environment? How do you build a harmonious environment? What happens if this harmony is disturbed?
I like quiet environments where everyone is genuinely fine and not pretending, so if any of my friends are feeling bad I try to help them. I also like to go to beautiful places with friends or alone like organize a picnic, go to a waterfall...
What does comfort mean to you? How do you create it?
Being in a place alone where I don't need to be anxious all the time, where I can let my guard down, eat sushi while listening to the sound of the rain in warm pajamas and under my blanket creating some fake scenario on my head.
How do you express yourself in your hobbies? How do you engage yourself with those things?
When I was a kid I tried to start playing piano but I dind't last long because It requires a long time to get results and I didn't want to practice at home. I prefer simpler hobbies without commitments, for example playing video games, painting, reading books, and trying new hobbies.
I'd really like to start trying to go to craft classes, but short classes to then be able to try another one until maybe I find one that suits me.
Tell us how you'd design any room, house or an office. Do you do it yourself, or trust someone else to do it? Why?
If I had the money I would call someone to take care of the big part, I would tell them exactly what I want, then I would just take care of the details.

That's not a question of being acceptable or not, emotions can't always be controlled, you never know what someone is going through behind the scenes.
But I admit that I prefer people who don't show emotions in an dramatic way, for example in my work there are a lot of people who start screaming and who are clearly exaggerating and I have to control myself not to laugh.
I'm mostly touched by people who are more reserved with their emotions because I identify with them.

I never had emotional support so I like to deal with my emotions alone.
I don't know if I consider myself a very emotional person , I have my moments where I start crying for many different reasons because I kept a lot of things inside me, I also have days where I'm in a very bad mood without knowing why and I start being mean to close people.
I'm a very private person, I don't like exaggerated demonstrations, a lot of "i love you" and compliments make me bored and seem fake.
Are you able to change your demeanor in order to interact with your environment in a more or less suitable way? How do you determine what is suitable?
These questions make me think that I don't know myself that well.
I think so, I know how to dress up and not talk about inappropriate things even if I make some mistakes, like smiling in the middle of a funeral because my colleague told a joke or showing involuntary annoyance when someone try to do a lot of small talk with me.
In what situations do you feel others' feelings? Can you give examples of when you wanted to improve the mood of others?
I am fickle in many aspects of my life, empathy is one of them, sometimes I have a lot and sometimes I don't have any. It really depends on my relationship with people and how much I like their personality. I'm very suspicious of other people's motives.
My father doesn't usually cry a lot and he's not manipulative at all. I suspect he's a Lse or sli, so when he cries I know it's real and it affects me, in other hand my mother is manipulative and when she starts crying I always think it's fake or that she deserves it (maybe she is a iei).

Complicated, I wouldn't say I'm completely blind to how others feel about me, but I'm definitely very pessimistic and because of that I like to be reassured about what my loved ones think about me.
I'm very suspicious of others and sometimes I start overthinking that everyone hates me or wants to hurt me. As soon as a friend has a more negative reaction, sometimes because of their own problems that have nothing to do with me, I get hurt or I start trying to guess what they are thinking about me and as you can imagine it's almost always negative. Although now I'm starting to try to be less negative because you never know what others are thinking or feeling.
How do you determine how much you like or dislike someone else? How does this affect your relationships?
By personality, values, way of seeing the world, I like people I identify whit and I can trust. People with character that I consider dubious I try to not interact.
I have a very small group because I have a set pattern, at the same time they are different obviously but what unites us is that we are all very open-minded and we don't like to meddle in other people's lives.
How do you move from a distant relationship to a close one? What are the distinguishing characteristics of a close relationship?
We start talking, I like what they are about and it's that simple. Sometimes it takes me 3 months to consider someone a friend, other times I only see the person 3 times and I already know I can trust them.
It has happened once that I stayed in a "friendship" because I wanted company at school, but I stopped seeing him as a friend and started seeing him as an acquaintance.
How do you know that you are a moral person? Where do you draw your morality from? Do you believe others should share your beliefs on what's moral? Why?
I am a moral person in my own criteria. There are people who follow the morality of religion, others follow the morality of a group... Some of them I consider wrong and stupid, but I just don't make friends with these people and it's as simple as that.
The only thing that everyone should do is to respect others because it made life easier for everyone and it's such a simple thing if everyone does it.
Someone you care about is acting distant to you. How do you know when this attitude is a reflection of your relationship?
I don't know, it depends on the situation.
But I try not to take it personally (don't mean that I don't take it, on the contrary but I try to suppress it). What I do is that I ask what happened or i leave them alone. I don't like is chasing after others so I've ended friendships without knowing why, the person just stops talking to me and I take that as a sign.

How can you tell someone has the potential to be a successful person? What qualities make a successful person and why?
I would say that one of the things is to have the ability to always be ahead of others, to have that special touch that some people have.
Where would you start when looking for a new hobby? How do you find new opportunities and how do you choose which would be best?
I already have ideas of hobbys that I want to try, so I would look in my internal library and choose the one that I felt like doing. I like manual and simple activities (I'm not an artist) I've done canoeing and I don't hate extreme activities, but I don't think it's considered a hobby and I don't know if I would do it that often either.
How do you interpret the following statement: "Ideas don't need to be feasible in order to be worthwhile." Do you agree or disagree, and why?
Ideas have to start somewhere, at first they may not make sense, but then when more ideas come up and they are molded, they can become a possibility. Or maybe people just want to come up with crazy ideas and that's okay too.

I didn't make any connection, unlike the guy I took this questionnaire from. I just read the sentences and nothing else.
How would you summarize the qualities that are essential to who you are? What kind of potential in you has yet to be actualized and why?
The part that I fear the most, having to describe myself even more with qualities (gives me the impression that I'm bragging). This is going to feel more like a list than a text, sorry for the disappointment. I'm faithful, I like to make people's lives easier (if they haven't done me wrong), I strive to do what I promised, I hate being in debt.
I definitely have to improve my charisma and try to get along with new people more until I get used to it and don't get so bored.

Everything changes people, the personality you have today was the result of all the moments of your life and also of your brain (parts more or less developed and this also affects).
We're always changing every day, it's just that we're so used to the changes that sometimes we don't even notice it.
Sometimes I go through a similar situation that has happened before and I see how much I have changed in the way I deal with the problem.
How do you feel and experience time? Can time be wasted? How?
I think time is the most powerfyl weapon, you learn to deal with things with time, time brings peace but also chaos, time makes life evolve both positively and negatively, time kills you but also brings life. Time is truly the most important thing there is, when a certain moment passes you can no longer go back and fix things.
It all depends on the point of view, today you can consider it something important but later you see that it was a waste of time, the important thing to keep in mind is to think about the future because what has already happened cannot be changed.

Language is limiting, you can indulge feelings in others through sentences but you are never sure how others will interpret it.
I would say feelings and experience is one of the things, you have to go through them and let others go through too.
How do you anticipate events unfolding? How can you observe such unfoldments in your environment?
I don't really know, I think from what has already happened, from the people involved, from myself.
I sometimes tend to try to predict things and I like to be prepared for all eventualities because it makes me feel safer, but I also know that predictions are not 100% certain. I've missed opportunities because of this.
In what situations is timing important? How do you know the time is right to act? How do you feel about waiting for the right moment ?
It depends on when I've decided it's time to act.
I'll use the example of my driver's license, I started getting my license 1 year before the end of school but then I decided to finish school first to focus on my license after (also out of laziness I admit). My parents bothered me a lot because I needed to get the license but I only did it when I saw that I needed it to work and I couldn't leave it for later anymore (can expire). It was a bad choice, but I needed a reason to have motivation.
