2024.05.06 05:20 Longjumping-Hat623 Game keeps crashing when loading saves

This seems to have only started today but whenever I load a save file it crashes once it gets to "Loading World" I started over on a new save played for a bit and again when loading the save it crashes at the same exact spot. I haven't added any new mods before this issue started.
Here is my modlist:

2024.04.30 19:05 greyblades1 Pausing every few seconds.

Something is causing my game to pause every few seconds for a moment and then carry on as normal over and over, most frequently when I run at 3 speed but happens on 2 and 1. No error message in dev mode, no memory leak or anything just everything freezing in place for less than a second then resuming, including the camera when panning and the animations of the Geothermal generators.
No idea whats causing it and I have nothing to indicate whats wrong. I know its not an issue of computer performance and I do know it wasnt happening on new games, which makes the "disable half and see if it keeps happening" method pretty much impossible.
There was one moment earlier in the playthrough when a similar issue came then went away, when a pawn joined the colony and then exposed itself as a traitor, I think the game was checking every few seconds if it would turn hostile and when it did the hanging when away.

2024.04.29 06:05 iMecharic Fire's not producing Light?

Exactly as the title says, I have somehow broken the light-producing aspect of fires. Not for all fires, either, for some of them. Campfires and wildfires (vanilla) work, as do the Signal Fire (Tribal Signal Fire Continued) and Stone Campfire (Vanilla Furniture Expanded). Confirmed not-working-right-now-but-used-to-work are the Large Fire (VFE: Tribals), Hearthfire & Fireplace (LTS Furnishing). I honestly have no idea what could even be causing this, though my going theory is that it's the extra stuff in the deffs where it declares lighting. (If so, how can I fix that?)
(Here's hoping my attempt at using a header to collapse my modlist works. Sorry if it doesn't.)

2024.04.20 13:26 OnionConsistent6787 Performance going dogshit / game crashing after reloading saves

As I said in the title, when I load in the game for the first time sure it goes smoothly with all the performance mods and stuff but when I reload it because I don't wanna take a really hard blow and lose the colony totally the performance degrades with each reload and crashes after 3, it starts to lag and get fps drops as hell then just freezes and closes itself
Incase if any of you would wanna take a look at my mod list :

Journey Unfolds - Ashen Wastes
The Song of Strife season approaches!
In this new season, you'll continue your journey as Magister Merlin, teaming up with a mysterious young companion in a new desert region. Before introducing to the local culture and inhabitants, let's take a moment to familiarize ourselves with the region!
It'll unlock as the new season kicks off, offering new landscapes featuring expansive dunes and swirling sands. But beware of the dangerous desert and the ferocious beasts that call it home. Don't let your guard down when traveling there!
https://preview.redd.it/phpq91cnw6vc1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5add7f951127dc277d95710f58c4bb1bebf3f935

Desert Landscape and Climate

The desert landscape has some unique features, characterized by vast dunes stretching endlessly that resemble the waves of the sea, stretching endlessly. The direction and strength of the wind determine the shape and location of these dunes. Our art team deliberately designed dynamic environments to simulate the most authentic desert ambiance, allowing players to feel the waves of sand as if they were in the desert.
https://preview.redd.it/wlz7a6bpw6vc1.png?width=1683&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f3495dc149b95e915a40ad8cda5113af578b613
Deserts often feature massive rock formations or unique landforms created by weathering, such as yardangs, which add variety to the map's terrain.

The desert represents extreme climates. By day, the scorching sun raises temperatures to unbearable levels, while at night, without clouds or humidity to retain warmth, temperatures plummet, inducing shivers. Be prepared, as you might encounter sandstorms if you're "lucky."
This extreme climate affects the desert's biodiversity, with only a few species able to survive. The central regions of the desert are usually the hottest and driest, so you'll see even fewer creatures in this area. However, the climate can be wetter near the edges of the desert, closer to mountains or oceans, leading to increased biodiversity. Next, we'll explore the flora and fauna of the new desert map.

Typically formed by underground water sources, oases have relatively humid climates that support rich biodiversity. People often settle in these areas, forming tribes. The Uru Clan, which debuts in the Song of Strife season, is one such tribe that emerged from a desert oasis and developed unique cultures and traditions influenced by the extreme environment.

Desert Fauna and Flora

  • Vulture Common in the desert, vultures feed on carcasses and often perch high above the ground. If you see frequent sightings of white bones, look up - you might see a vulture staring at you with its gleaming black eyes! Well, most likely, it's keeping an eye on Chippy.
https://preview.redd.it/hgt4a4lyw6vc1.png?width=2940&format=png&auto=webp&s=61574851c48688412ee5462ae7d1a36b854f7de2
  • Lizard Perhaps the friendliest creatures in the desert, lizards enjoy lounging in the shade of rocks, a common sight during desert walks.
https://preview.redd.it/lis365vex6vc1.jpg?width=1706&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b626a7852a09ede581d54a83b8a6465312247d0
  • Tamed Ironjaws Found only near human settlements such as camps and arenas, these creatures are essential for transporting supplies across the desert thanks to their ability to retain water in their bodies, making them ideal for long desert journeys.
In the desolate desert, plant life might be sparse, but it shows remarkable resilience. Some iconic desert plants have impressive survival capabilities. With thick leaves to conserve water and thorns to ward off animals, they flourish in arid conditions. Another common desert plant is various species of hardy shrubs with deep roots for water extraction.

  • Snakebone Grass Thrives in poor soil conditions, featuring green roots that shift to orange and red stems. Its stems can store large amounts of water and typically grow in sunny, open areas.

  • Blazing Orchid One of the most common desert plants, it has golden, flame-like leaves with white tips. Thick leaves help retain water in dry conditions.
https://preview.redd.it/24pnnjvmx6vc1.png?width=1163&format=png&auto=webp&s=305b9ff36f8487ce6eaabd2f86e12f9a1cf3c316
  • Desert Shrub Small, multi-branched plants found in desert soil. They have deep roots that reach underground in search of water.

  • Desert Moss Some areas of the desert have patches of grass. These plants survive in the dry desert environment with minimal water.
https://preview.redd.it/ui4z7hazx6vc1.jpg?width=1706&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=432eae6b954cbe5359fcbeb04ce89b948474055d

Culture and Architecture

Despite the harsh desert environment, resilient tribes find ways to endure. Some live nomadic lives, constantly relocating to find water and food, while others settle near desert oases or rocky formations. Their way of life, beliefs, and culture significantly shape the region. The Warsong Festival in the new season is a distinctive tradition stemming from the Dusk Lord faith and Mauler culture of the Ashen Wastes area.
https://preview.redd.it/us479k91y6vc1.png?width=1684&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc5a1958dfef36d59255211074a27ff8aa53441c
Regarding architecture, tribal dwellings are often built on natural terrain for better protection, such as caves or rock formations. The architectural style is typically survivalist, with materials resistant to heat and adverse weather conditions, such as thick canvas, solid wood blocks, coarse rope, and sometimes animal fangs.

On the other hand, a few years ago some scientists discover that around 500 million years ago there was a mountain range, even before the collision where now the Himalayas lie. Everest is composed of multiple layers of rock folded back on themselves and the rock on the lower elevations of the mountain consists of metamorphic schists and gneisses, topped by igneous granite.

How Did Mount Everest Get Its Name?

After acquiring knowledge on “Where is Mount Everest?”. We move forward to learn about how did Mount Everest get its name. Mount Everest is a peak in the Himalayas mountain range located between Nepal and Tibet, an autonomous region of China. For several years scientists have tried to establish the exact height of Mount Everest.

Likewise, the name Everest has its history. In 1856, the peak got its name after British surveyor George Everest. In 1852 Radnanath Sikhdar, a mathematician working for the great Trigonometrical Survey, who has been mapping the Indian Subcontinent identified the world’s highest mountain in the world that lies on the border between Tibet and Nepal.

The Tibetian already named it Chomolungma and Nepali called it Sagarmatha. So, the British referred to the peak as XV until Andrew Waugh, the surveyor-general of India, suggested that it be named for his predecessor, Sir George Everest. The peak was officially named Everest in 1865.

Sir George Everest was born in Wales on July 4, 1790, and attended military schools in England before spending his adult life in India. He joined the Great Trigonometrical Survey in 1818 after working for the East India Company.

He spent 25 years on this project working as superintendent in 1823 and then the surveyor-general of India in 1830. After that, he returned to Great Britain following his retirement in 1843. Sir George Everest always prefer a native name for the highest peak, despite Waugh’s proposal of naming the Highest peak in his honor.

Despite the name was already given by the native countries, Waugh was unaware of the indigenous moniker which had barred the survey team from crossing the border.

Waugh wrote the proposal to the Royal Geographical Society in 1856. However, Sir George Everest didn’t collaborate saying that the locals will have a problem pronouncing the name. Despite his arguments, society decides to dub the world’s tallest peak Mount Everest in 1865.

Half of them halt their journey in the middle. Some even lose their life but it is the glory of the victory to those who have become successful.

The summit of the world’s tallest peak requires days of preparation and months of extreme training. Simultaneously upon knowing “Where is Mount Everest?” or the location of Mount Everest. We now get information on the first person to climb Mount Everest.

The very 1st person to reach the top of Everest was Sir Edmund Percival Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Sir Edmund Percival Hillary was a New Zealand mountaineer and explorer. He along with Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers to summit Everest on 29 May 1953.

Khumbu Ice Fall Everest Region

Edmund Hillary

Sir Edmund Hillary has been interested in mountaineering since his secondary school days. So as his first attempt, he reaches the summit of Mount Ollivier in 1939. During world war II he served as a navigator in the Royal New Zealand Air Force and was wounded in an accident.

He has also been part of the British reconnaissance expedition to the mountain in 1951. His attempt at climbing Cho Oyu was unsuccessful in 1952. Besides Everest, he reached the North Pole and the South Pole and became the first person to reach both poles. Then he set his eyes on the world’s highest peak.

He starts assisting the Sherpa people of Nepal through the Himalayan Trust which was established himself. He had numerous honors conferred upon him, including the Order of the Garter in 1995.

At 11:30 am on May 29, 1953, Edmund Hillary of Newzealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa from Nepal became the first explorers to reach the highest summit of 29,035 feet above sea level, Mount Everest. the news of their success broke out around the world on June 2. The first record of attempting to climb the summit of Everest was by a British expedition in 1921.

However, a raging storm forced them to abort their ascent. Later A second British expedition featuring Mallory returned in 1922 reaching an impressive height of around 27000 feet. In another attempt made by Mallory, seven Sherpa porters were killed.

The third Everest expedition was launched by the British in 1924 where the climber set the record of reaching 28128 feet without using artificial oxygen.

Tenzing Norgay Sherpa

Four days later, Mallory and Andrew went for the summit but were never seen alive. However, Mallory’s body was found in 1999 with numerous broken bones. It is still a mystery whether or not they reach the summit. Several unsuccessful attempts were made from Tibet’s Northeast Ridge and after World War II Tibet was closed to foreigners.

Nepal opened its door to foreign climbers in 1949 and several attempts were made to the summit by the British and Swiss. Many returned due to oxygen malfunctioning but there was no success rate until on May 28, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary set out for the Journey. After the sleepless night, cold the pair was successful in setting up the new record.

They reach the south summit by 9 am and steep rocky steps, some 40 feet high about an hour later. Squeezing himself in the crack, Hillary inched himself up which was later known as Hillary Step. Hillary threw the rope down and Norgay followed. Like this, they were able to be at the top of the world by 11:30.

The news of the success spread from the expedition base camp to the radio post at Namche Bazar. The news was then sent by a coded message to London which was the day of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. The next day the news broke all over the world. So, they achieve their greatest dream and got various medals as rewards.

Ship rock
Tertiary uplift and subsequent dissection of the Colorado Plateau removed Ship Rock's crater and moderately exhumed the diatreme from the weaker shales, sandstones and mudstones of the surrounding plateau. Erosion has sculpted the remnant landform, the diatreme's plumbing, into the monolith we see today towering over the desert-plain. It's estimated that the crater of Ship Rock was 3,250 feet above the present-day land surface!
DIATREME GEO-CHEMISTRY Ship Rock is composed of two rock types: a minette and a tuff breccia (specifically a "serpentized ultramafic microbreccia"). Minette, an older term but still used, is a lamprophyre, a dark igneous rock lacking plagioclase that's common in dikes, laccoliths, stocks and small volcanic intrusions. They are greenish-gray to black in color with a low silica-content. Minettes erupted at high temperatures from a source deep in the mantle accounting for their high potassium content (ultrapotassic). In contrast, the olive-green to brown breccia, being a solid-gas mixture, is thought to have been generated during intrusion of minette magma into cooler, hydrated mantle at lower temperatures. Both rock types are xenolith-bearing as we shall see. Courtesy of -Dr.Jack Share. This information I gathered and shared from this article/blog post:

Where is Mount Everest? - Unique Path Trekking & Expedition (nepaltrekkinginfo.com)
Everyone is familiar with the tallest peak in the world. One and only Mount Everest. But very few people know about its exact location. So they wander like “Where is Mount Everest Located? or Location of Mount Everest”. The mightiest Mount Everest (8848.86m) is located in the land of the Himalayas, Nepal.

Now that we acquire the knowledge of the question “Where is Mount Everest?” or the Location of Mount Everest. So let’s talk more about the mountains. A mountain is a large landform that rises above the surrounding land in a limited area, usually larger than hills and covered with snow. The tectonic forces or volcanism form mountains.

The higher elevation in the mountain region has a colder climate than that of the sea level. Mountains are more used for resource extraction and recreation such as climbing and skiing. There are three types of mountains: volcanic, fold, and block. When the piles of earth’s crust move, crumple, and dive it results in the formation of mountains.

Because of harsh weather mountains are less preferable for human habitation. The altitude at 5950m is the highest tolerable altitude and above that, there is less oxygen available for breathing. Above 8000m elevations is popular as the death zone as there is not enough oxygen to support human life. This is why Mountain summits are one of the riskiest activities in the world.

What Country Is Mount Everest In?

Well, the answer to both the questions: Where is Mount Everest and What Country is Mount Everest In is the same. The world-famous peak of Mount Everest resides in the tiny nation of Nepal. This article is not just about “Where is Mount Everest?” Here we try to provide you with all the information and facts about Mount Everest. Mount Everest, is the earth’s tallest mountain peak. It is famous as the world’s highest mountain because of its highest elevation above sea level.

There are previous records regarding the height of the Mountain peak. The elevation of Everest in 1955 was 8848m, both countries Nepal and China were okay with it. Later China re-confirmed this height in 1975.

As there was a rapid evolution of technology from the 18th century to the 21st century. There were abundant tools and techniques to measure the exact height of Everest. The team measures the height of Mount Everest taking sea level as the base.

However, the new official height of Everest was announced very recently. The new announcement puts an end to the decade-long debate on the height of Mount Everest.

As per the joint measurements efforts by Nepal and China, the new height of Everest is 8848.86m. The height increased by 0.86m from the previous one. Kathmandu and Beijing, the capital of Nepal and China then announce the height of Mount Everest at the same time.

China’s side of Everest is a wide valley in U-Shape. Trekkers usually fly to Lhasa or take a train via Xining. People even hire 4WD from Lhasa to Rongbuk Monastery, 5100m.

How Old Is Mount Everest

Every year many climbers make their way to the Mount Everest summit. The world’s highest mountain recently got its new height of 8848.86m. It is quite famous for hosting many treks and climbs. There are many lingering questions relating to the actual age of Everest.

About the actual geological age of Everest, there are many opinions from different Geologists. Practically speaking there are no exact records regarding the age of Mount Everest. However, according to the research done by Scientists, Mount Everest is around 50 to 60 million years old.

As Everest is a part of the Himalayas, scientists believe that the Himalayas are formed due to the collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates. Therefore, the age of Everest is similar to the age of the Himalayas.

On the other hand, a few years ago some scientists discover that around 500 million years ago there was a mountain range, even before the collision where now the Himalayas lie. So, an explanation was made that maybe 500 million years ago the mountain range was formed by the collision of the Indian plate. So, Everest can be 500 million years old too.

First Person To Climb Mount Everest

Summit to Everest is difficult and risky. Yearly hundreds of people make their way to the summit of Everest. However, very few get close to this pinnacle site.

2024.02.27 14:35 Gunele Sami——From Terra:a journey

Ancient you, peaceful you, you in the mountains of the north!
I come for you, the most lovely land!
——Lyrics of the Sami Tourism advertising song, created by Columbian Caravan International Travel Agency
Many readers who live in nomadic cities in Victoria and Columbia will have heard this song. In the past period of time, TV channels and intercity networks have launched rounds of Sami tourism promotion campaigns. Many people even heard the word "Sami" for the first time in these advertisements. The ads were apparently so successful that advertisers now no longer need them - come summer, travelers naturally sign up in droves to board shuttles to the resort town of Chapatt or several other well-known northern attractions. These people are willing to spend a lot of money and spend more than a week on the bumpy road to experience (or re-experience) the charm of the "most lovely land".
I went too. Indeed, that trip was a great experience.
But the purpose of this article is not, after all, to discuss the quality of today’s Sami group travel experiences. Let me tell the reader frankly that long before the first stake of the first wooden house in Chapat-Gavri was brought to the shores of Lake Chuaviali, long before it even received that name(meaning "horned beast") I had visited Sami before. Although that visit was not entirely my intention, now it seems that I was a "blessing in disguise" to a certain extent——
It was the insights I gained at that time that allowed me to truly complete this article and introduce readers to a real Sami outside the scenic area.
Overview
Sami, the end of the land, the territory of forests and tundra. To the average person, it is a faraway tourist destination, the home of saunas. Beyond the light of the bonfires in the resort camp, it is probably the most unique "country" in Terra's system, and it also has a unique model of coexistence between man and nature in Terra. Here, our common sense must humbly recognize its limitations and give way to Sami’s common sense.
History
History of discovery
For those of us outside of Sami (especially those in academia), the history of Sami is really the history of its discovery.
Although the name "Sami" appeared very early, for most of history, this name represented only a group of unworthy primitive tribes in a small corner of northern Terra. If people look up some literature and materials before the crystallization ahe, they will basically come to the following conclusion:In the days when Sargon's lions fought for supremacy in the desert, the Sami lived a savage life, kissing bark and mud;In the days when Nightzmora Khan conquered the land, the Sami lived a savage life, kissing bark and mud;In the era when the Iberians and Leithaniens successively captured Bolivar, the Sami people still lived a savage life, kissing bark and mud. In such records, there may be some stories and fairy tales about giant feathered beast-like monsters with long legs, and the Elafia girl holding a crystal feathered beast egg, but other than that there is nothing much to tell——Even in Ursus, which is adjacent to Sami, no more detailed and serious material can be found.
Kal'tsit: Obviously, for Ursus, the need to cover up the truth about the Sami is actually greater. For a long time, in Ursus, the Sami people have only been portrayed as sporadic alien tribesmen who engage in petty theft. Fedot Dezhnev's expedition was completely unexpected by the Ursus court, and Ursus' subsequent invasion and annexation of the territories of the Sami tribes was probably a show of helplessness.
In the common sense of the era, nothing would need to go into Sami and nothing would want to come out of there. Of course, we know today that this was not the case. The Sami people have never lived an isolated life. Various evidences show that the Sami are the main birthplace of the Elafia ethnic group, and they can now be found all over Terra——But this is ultimately a deduction conducted under modern scientific standards. Sami was so far away that people at the time didn't care much about its actual condition. People who walked out of Sami in the past may have had various personal reasons, and they did not leave us any unique records.
It is generally accepted by academic circles that detailed written records of the Sami region began with Fedot Semyonovich Dezhnev's four northern expeditions. This explorer, who is a household name in Ursus, has stayed in Sami intermittently for more than ten years, truly pioneering systematic research on Sami. Unfortunately, the hand of the Emperor of Ursus also followed. During a short period of time in the middle of the ninth century, due to the discovery of Originium deposits and the need for the Kazimierz war, Ursus quickly ceded large tracts of land that once belonged to the Sami tribes through military invasion and economic acquisition. This is how the northwestern boundary of Ursus, as commonly understood today, was formed.
Fedot Semyonovich Dezhnev
Fedot Semyonovich Dezhnev (803-879) was a renowned explorer, cartographer and orbital planner of Ursus. He entered Sami four times between 838 and 851. He and his team members may also be the first Terran people to successfully return after penetrating into the Infy Icifield. At the same time, it was Dezhnev who discovered the Kolossal Prime Vein in what was then Sami land. He perfected the reading of the Sami alphabet, summarized the two major models of the Sami language, introduced the Sami tribal composition, natural religious culture and Snowpriests conference system to the southern society, and recorded the Sami people for the first time. The use of their unique spell (generally known today as "Furda's Secret Art"). In protest against Ursus' "arrogant, barbaric and unjust oppression" of the Sami region, he retired early in 852 at the age of forty-nine and refused to serve Emperor Ursus for the rest of his life. There used to be a town of Dezhnevsk in the far north of Ursus, named after his surname, but it was later abandoned.
His wife was an Elafia from Sami. The couple had a son, Asmundir Fedotovich Dezhnev, who later became the rector of Deity Grypherburg Ushinsky Pedagogical University.
In recent years, a challenger to dominance has emerged in the Sami region: Columbia. Unlike most other countries, Columbia has always shown great interest in Sami. Since the 1960s, groups of Columbians have entered Sami with the support of their country or various domestic NGOs. Unlike the country's pioneering movement in the western wilderness, Columbia's interest in the Sami seems to be scientific, and the people who entered the Sami from Columbia were mainly scientific researchers at that time. These Columbians used modern technology to resurvey the range of swamps, black forests and snowy mountains, claiming to have established a stable route to Fjal Vetrtonn. They also rediscovered the isolated Cyclops, a Sarkaz Royal Court tribal, in the rolling mountains, and established an incredible connection with them.
Kal'tsit: This is probably because the Cyclops made prophecies about this, and those prophecies be forced to come out to warn these Columbians, lest the latter break into something they should never break into.
The biggest change occurred recently: Columbian investors apparently managed to win the favor of some southern Sami tribes. They cooperated with these tribes and began to develop tourism in the Sami wetlands, and achieved considerable results. Several large-scale tourist towns have been built in the area (such as the well-known Chapat-Ghafri town mentioned earlier) as well as a large number of resort facilities. There are even rumors that the first nomadic city will soon appear in Sami, under the auspices of a certain Columbian "conglomerate".
Sami and Ursus
It should be noted that there was no "war" between Ursus and Sami - in both parties' perceptions. What actually happened often was that Ursus exchanged goods such as crops for a Sami tribe to move, ceded the land, and used force to expel another tribe. For Ursus, it is not related to the Sami as a whole, but deals with the affairs between itself and each tribe bordering it independently; and the same is true for the various tribes of the Sami. The tribes in the core Sami area do not care how the peripheral tribes get along with Ursus, and the Snowpriests Congress has obviously never regarded Ursus as a threat to the unity of the Sami tribes. For more than two hundred years after the initial large-scale operation, Ursus seemed to have adhered to a certain bottom line, controlled the intensity of friction with the tribes, and did not continue to annex Sami lands on a larger scale. (Kal'tsit: This is the boundary drawn by the Holy Fool. Thanks to his knowledge, the Ursus people have always clearly understood that the barrier between them and the ice sheet is more important than the territory.)
Recently, perhaps due to the influence of the culture of southern countries, there have been some attacks on Ursus border settlements in the name of "Sami people", leading to retaliatory actions by the Ursus side. Ursus officials have repeatedly accused the Columbian authorities of being the masterminds, and the latter has naturally denied all accusations.
Beyond the land
I have promised the reader in the introduction to introduce "Sami outside the scenic area". In this section, I will keep this promise and first introduce "history outside the scenic area". This part of the content is more like folktales than history. They will mainly come from what I have seen and heard with my own eyes. But few outside of Sami can verify this, and my memory is obviously subject to error, so I leave the final judgment to the reader.
Our history often focuses on recording people's actions and commemorating the rise and fall of countries. People living in the Sami tribe are not interested in this. The Sami's memories of the past have always revolved around tribal migrations, which were directed by a magical ritual. For the Sami people, this magic ritual and the ensuing migration held by each tribe are collectively known as "Sohati" or "O-Friedl", which is the "Great Battle". The "Great Battle" is their own history in the eyes and mouths of the Sami people.
When I first visited Sami, I migrated with a Sami tribe (please allow me to withhold its name). The summary of the story included below is derived from the records I made at this time. It is difficult to say whether "Sami" as a place name originated from stories related to the "Great Battle" or whether it was the opposite. After a long period of written adaptation and oral transmission, this kind of story has produced many versions, some of which have been spread to the south and evolved into the stories we have heard before. Among the Sami tribe, such stories usually contain several elements, such as a misunderstanding between two or more mythical creatures, the sudden appearance of strange enemies, the Sami people's eternal battle for Terra, etc.
It is worth mentioning that the "Father of the Ancestral Spirits", in addition to "Sami", is more commonly known as "Sami Takhto" (Mode A) or "Samivili" (Mode B). These two words have a very precise Victorian translation, which is "Sami's Will". Some snow priests have made it clear that "divination is listening to Sami's will." We can argue that such stories actually record the events that marked the beginning of Sami history. Considering the grand changes in the world described in the story, Sami is very close to the main mineral vein of Kolossal, and Catastrophs occur frequently, we can infer that the battle between mythical creatures in the story is very likely to actually be a very violent natural disaster in ancient times. .
Sohati
Ten thousand years ago, when humans first arrived at the end of the land, the giant feathered beast Valushita that roamed the sky laid a scorching egg. The egg could not withstand the high temperature it released and shattered into many pieces in the sky, making a huge sound and dazzling light, awakening Sami, the father of the ancestral spirits on the land. At the same time, Valushita lowered her head to check her egg, but was blinded by the light as she looked directly at it. It knew that its egg had broken, but mistakenly thought it was Sami who did it. Valushita let out a shrill scream and angrily accused Sami. It lost all reason, flapped its wings, raised up a violent storm that covered the world, and scattered huge feathers as sharp as steel knives, trying to hurt Sami.
The father of the ancestral spirits, Sami, was protected by the land and did not want to pay attention to the unreasonable troubles of the feathered beast. But Valushita is blind, and the resentment it spreads indiscriminately is flying everywhere, and it is about to cross the agreed ancient boundaries and kill innocent humans. The Father of Ancestral Spirits then made a compassionate decision. He stretched out his body and withstood all disasters for mankind. But at this time, the fragments of the egg laid by Valushita fell from the sky, and Sami's body was exposed outside the shelter, and was burned as if by twenty suns. The father of the ancestral spirit was caught off guard and was severely injured, and had to quickly return to the land.
Later, Valushita regained her sight and regained consciousness. Heartbroken by the lost egg and filled with regret for hurting the father of the ancestor spirits, it left Terra without looking back. But the fragments of the eggs remained on the ground, attracting evil spirits. Sami had no way to leave the shelter of the land for a while, so he had to ask for help from humans. But the merciful ancestral spirit father will never allow humans to try to remove those fragments, because such a method does not exist on land. Sami only gave instructions to humans, asking them to work hard to resist the evil spirits and not let them cross the black forest. He also assured mankind that one day He would be able to gain the recognition of the land again. Then He will be able to end His rest and solve the problems posed by Valushita forever; then the battles of mankind will surely end.
Ammatalu
The father of the ancestral spirits, Sami, cast his last glance at the forests and swamps before he rested. This glance seemed to be frozen in time and lasted for thousands of years. The ancestral spirits Matmonin and the ancestral spirits amma were born. Among the twins, Matmonin's appearance is more like that of a human being, so He feels close to human beings and wants to travel on the land and see all human beings;Amma's appearance is not like that of a human being at all, but she has the compassionate character of the father of ancestral spirits. She decided to stay in the land where Sami rested, and guide the vegetation and animals on the land to help humans complete their mission together.
amma has no human form and cannot understand human speech, so she cannot directly show her body and communicate with people. But it was she who, by using the hints of snow and fire, made people understand the principles of divination and trained the first generation of snow priests. She also used the suggestion of animal horns to guide the Dietan women who had just arrived in Sami, so that they could get help from the Sami tribe and avoid starving to death. Out of gratitude, the Dietan woman cut off a few pieces of bark and taught the Sami people how to write words that can drive many things.
Until now, Amma is still wandering in the black forest. Occasionally, the Sami people can pick up pieces of pure white snow that will not melt, which means that Amma has seen him and wishes him good luck. A Sami who picks up such a piece of snow usually encounters good things, but he must always pay attention to his surroundings so as not to miss Amma's hints.
Due to the coexistence of two typical models of the Sami language, the authenticity of the "Amma Talu" (i.e. "Amma's thing") story is easier to verify than other stories. There are many versions (all very, very long) of the story of the twin ancestral spirits Matmonin and Amma. In these versions, sometimes the human form of Matmonin appears to help humans, and sometimes the animal form or invisible Amma secretly guides humans. But there are always fixed parts in the development of the story: the first generation of snow priests will always be born among the Sami people; the "Dietan women" will always come to the Sami people and teach the Sami people how to write secret texts. If we peel off the skin of the story, the meaning of the word "Dietan" is also very clear, that is, "prophet". There is reason to believe that this refers to the Cyclops of Sarkaz. It is probably because the Cyclops taught the Sami people how to write Furda's cipher text that the Sami language has two completely different vocabularies and lexical patterns, but they are completely interoperable.
Occasionally, the "Dietan women" will split into two groups in the story, one of which will enter the mountains, while the other will go all the way north, "looking for the wound in the land." This may suggest that the Cyclops actually split into two groups, or that another ancient race that we don't yet know about also stopped in Sami.
Sami’s other stories will not be repeated here. If readers are willing to believe that these stories have their basis in reality, then we can roughly summarize the development history of the Sami tribe like this:Thousands to 10,000 years ago, a Catastrophe of unprecedented scale swept through the Sami, leaving an indelible collective mark on the region. After the natural disaster, the surviving people awakened to a common Originium Arts. This Originium Arts is likely to belong to the category of telepathic perception spells, which allows the user to obtain some kind of precognitive information. Over the next thousands of years, Sami society was gradually shaped by this Originium Arts, forming a tradition of tribal migration to escape the Catastrophe. Later, the Cyclops moved from Kazdare to the Sami and introduced Secret Art, allowing the Sami to control their huge sacred trees and golems. After these three events, the social form of the Sami people was completely shaped and showed what it is today.
Kal'tsit: The Sami people have always demonstrated an amazing collective memory, and this section is actually very informative. For the study of Sami, the starting angle of legendary stories is undoubtedly the right one. For the convenience of explanation, I clarify here that the so-called "Father of the Ancestral Spirits" or "Sami's Will" refer to the same Feranmut. But I also feel that revealing the whole truth about Sami here may not be a choice I am willing to make now. This is also in view of the recent experiences of the Sami joint scientific expedition team. Please understand.
Geography
Kal'tsit: The prerequisite for discussing Sami geography is to recognize the essence of Sami - this is the place where Feranmut, who survived the ancient war, lies. The size of this Feranmut's body may be the only one in Terra today. It can even be said that a considerable part of everything that is discussed today in Sami happened on the creature's riddled back. But it has never recovered from the scars of war, and is unlikely to. It has always resisted the influence of demons infiltrating Terra. The elf's healing abilities have their limits, and as it continues to weaken, it is likely that in the near future it will need all the help the land can offer.
Northern staircase
Sami is the northernmost country of Terra, located northwest of Ursus where the Kolossal Prime Vein meets Lake Kolossal. Continuing north from Sami, you will enter the Infy Icifield with harsh conditions and no settlement.
In the Sami land, the landform changes always follow a simple four-level pattern: swamps in the south, forests in the sub-south, snowy mountains in the sub-north, and tundra in the extreme north. This change in landforms seems to have been artificially designed: to enter the tundra, travelers must cross the snowy mountains; if they want to return from the snowy mountains to the swamps in the south, there is no way around the black forest. During Dezhnev’s third expedition, the Ursus expedition tried to advance along the edge of the Black Forest from Haradriga Point in an attempt to measure the boundary of the Black Forest——They finally walked all the way to the Yevrenov Research Station in Ursus (today's Yevrenisk), and there was no forest there. According to Dezhnev, the topography of Sami is not static, the forest seems to walk when no one is looking, the ice and snow decide every day where it wants to cover, and even the rivers secretly change their course. Of course, the reality is probably not so fantastic. In Sami, the landscape in most areas is monotonous and lacks change. Even under the guidance of modern scientific instruments, people who are unfamiliar with the terrain still often get lost. Dezhnev was probably lost, and the black forest he saw was probably a spell cast on him by the local Sami people. At least, modern surveys have confirmed that it is possible to bypass the Black Forest and enter the ice sheet directly. However, this road must pass through the military-controlled area of Ursus and has been closed to traffic for a long time, so it has little practical significance.
Aurora
Nights are generally longer in Sami than elsewhere in Terra. Here, people often observe a luminous phenomenon in the sky at night, which looks like shining strips of light hanging in the sky, which is spectacular. This luminous phenomenon is called "Bolia" by the Sami and Ussans, and because it only occurs in the far north, it is also called "Aurora" by people in other parts of Terra.
The color of the aurora changes frequently, being predominantly green, but also often appearing as red, blue or purple. Its brightness and density are also changing all the time. For the Sami people, the aurora is the tears shed by the huge feathered beast Valushita in the sky;For the rest of us, auroras are likely the result of intense collisions between material from the Sun and the atmosphere. But no matter what the explanation is, it does not affect people's appreciation of its beauty.
Politics and military
government
There is no central government in any sense in Sami. The basic unit of this "country" is the tribes that self-identify as "Sami people". Some of these tribes will give themselves a name, and some will not. There are at least hundreds of such tribes in the Sami.
The core of the tribe is usually a religious leader, called the "Snow Priest". The Snow Priest is the tribe's most powerful shaman and magician, able to use Sami's unique Originium Arts, and keeps the driving spells of the tribe's sacred tree. All general tribal affairs are managed by the Snow Priest and his group of shamanic advisors. Of all the responsibilities of a snow priest, the most important is divination. The Snow Priest can communicate with "Sami's Will" through divination and obtain enlightenment. This kind of revelation is the biggest basis for Snow Priest to lead the tribe to migrate to avoid Catastroph. According to the existing records, this kind of revelation rarely fails.
Kal'tsit: "Sami's will" is Feranmut, but this Feranmut can only utter weak murmurs, so there are many snow priests who don't really know whose words they are listening to.
Sometimes multiple snow priests from multiple tribes would receive the same revelation, a sort of "encyclical". A snow ritual meeting of unprecedented scale will begin at an extremely fast speed, and hundreds of Snow Priest from almost the entire Sami will rush to the venue quickly. This type of meeting has never been open to outsiders, and I don’t know the specific content of the discussions. But in my personal experience, such meetings are often followed by some sort of mass migration of the tribe as a whole (usually southward en masse). It can be speculated that the purpose of this conference may be to discuss a plan for collective migration to avoid large-scale severe weather or dense Catastrophs. This assembly is also the closest institution to a state body in the Sami region.
It is worth noting that, based on the information released by Columbia, in the recent period, there has been no record of a large-scale return north of the Sami tribe after a large-scale migration southward. A reasonable speculation is that they were accustomed to the modern technological achievements brought by Columbia and thus were more willing to settle in the south. If this is the case, then we are undoubtedly standing at an important turning point in Sami history.
Military
Sami does not have a unified government, and naturally there is no unified army. But there is no shortage of strong warriors and skilled Casters in every tribe. The former is not only good at ordinary swords, but also good at using huge pole weapons;
The reputation of the latter's iconic snow-storming arts has long spread beyond Sami. Conceptually, these people constitute an armed force that maintains internal security and order in Sami. Disputes within the Sami tribe will basically not evolve into armed conflicts. In the confrontation with Ursus, as mentioned above, each tribe basically fights on its own.
But that is actually an appearance. For the Sami, their bravest tribes and best warriors had to enter the "Soatwiaka" (meaning "Legion"). This team is said to be numerous and always guards the boundaries of the Infy Icifield in the fortress at the foot of the mountain. The enemy they fight is said to be not human, but a terrifying enemy called "Andskotarnir". I have never seen the fortress of the legion, nor have I come into contact with the soldiers of the legion, but readers should remember that the Sami people collectively refer to the snow divination and tribal migration as the "Great Battle"——According to my observations, the migration of the Sami tribes is indeed proceeding along the lines of some kind of military mobilization. In the seemingly aimless march, one tribe can actually "encounter" many other tribes who are also migrating——This shows that the migration route of the tribe was planned like a waterway, or at least it was open to all tribes like road information. Furthermore, I found that the proportion of warriors was significantly higher among the tribes heading north. When tribes migrated and met, some warriors would even leave their original tribe and join the tribe heading north. Undoubtedly, the purpose of these people is to join the legion.
Kal'tsit: Andskotarnir is a subspace Collapsal infiltration entity. Columbia calls it "Collapsal body" or "Collapsal creature", and is generally called "Demons".
In these teams, I have seen fully armed rockhorn beasts marching in formation. Under the control of their drivers, they moved more uniformly than a human army. This was also the first time I witnessed the huge war golems of the Sami people. Those structures composed of entire giant trees, large pieces of rattan and hard rock seemed to be completely capable of defeating any war machine of the same size. Some golems are even covered in cipher text, and their abilities have obviously been further enhanced through arts. What exactly the Sami who brought such a force to war would encounter in the north, I can only imagine, cannot say.
Economy
For a long time, the Sami tribes were largely self-sufficient, with the land providing more than they needed. The Sami people can make all the necessities of life with their hands, and barter can meet the needs of both within and between tribes. Therefore, the Sami people do not need currency.
But Columbia has changed this situation. People from out of town can now use Columbian gold coupons to spend money in resorts in southern Sami. Many resorts and entertainment venues employ local tribesmen as laborers and waiters. These people receive Columbian coins and buy industrial products produced in Columbia——The Sami seem to enjoy this, and I choose to leave it to the reader to comment on this all-too-familiar process.
Travel
Traditionally, there were two routes into the Sami: one through the vast wastelands of northern Columbia, and the other from Ursus, heading west along the shores of Lake Kolossal. Foreigners who want to enter Sami from Ursus need to go through several relatively cumbersome approval processes. This will take some time, but it is not as impossible as the outside world spreads. In addition, although there are rumors that Columbia plans to build a national highway connecting Columbia's mainland and Sami and set up formal checkpoints, there is currently no strict border control between the two places.(It is worth noting that if travelers follow a convoy departing from a large nomadic city to Sami, there is still a high probability that their travel documents will need to be submitted for inspection before departure).
In 1099, there were three main caravan routes leading to the tourist areas of Sami:
The traditional route from Trimounts, Columbia is the shortest and has the lowest fares; The route departing from Mercyside County in Victoria has more luxurious service facilities. Because this route passes through Kjerag, you can view the magnificent Karlan Snow Mountains from a distance; The route starting from Montelupe in Siracusa was opened for the first time and is the longest, but it undoubtedly provides more choices for the residents of Leithanien, Siracusa and even Laterano.
Culture and society
Although there are personal preferences, the Sami people are basically able to switch between the two modes of Sami language. In addition, although most Sami people are literate, the use of spoken language in daily life should still account for the absolute majority. Poetry, literature, and other forms of written language also existed, but they were far from numerous. Letters are delivered between tribes by people who are engaged in similar professions as messengers, but there are only very few letters between each tribe and the outside world of Sami.
Nature
--What's this?
——It's soda.
——I don't like this "soda", it tastes unnatural.
On the intercity network, the Sami people “don’t like soda” because it “has an unnatural taste.”
The Sami people respect the laws of nature and believe that everything has its time and should not be disturbed. They take from nature what they need, but never more. Their "cultural temperament" is famous in the south, and the stereotyped image of the "Sami people" comes from this. In literature, film and television, the love story between the South and the Sami people with culture shock elements has become a template and has a fixed fan base. However, after all, these works have been modified and processed by romantic imagination, and "it's soda" obviously cannot represent the real situation.
A reminder
However, different Sami people can have huge differences in their interpretation of this rule. I will omit the specific examples here, so readers are aware of this:
When Sami mentions "all things", he is indeed referring to everything he knows - and all of this is part of the "eternal hunt".
The universal way everything works in Sami is the cycle of prey and prey. Through the act of "preying", the spirituality of all things can be exchanged and circulated. Therefore, this act should not be interfered with by human emotions or morality. Generally speaking, understanding and agreeing with this rule is a prerequisite for being called a "Sami". Due to this rule, their attitude towards nature is more pragmatic, and they do not prefer certain trees or beasts as imagined in literature. They do not generally have feelings for non-human things similar to those for people, nor do they have any preferences when using these things.
Tribal migration
Depending on the tribal culture, a tribe may not stay in the same location for very long, or quite the opposite. But the snow priests of all tribes perform divination at least once a month. If they are warned in the divination, migration will begin. Whether it is the result of divination or some kind of pre-existing knowledge, the migration route and destination are determined from the beginning.
In the tribe's settlement, all living facilities are set up around one or more huge tree golems. These tree golems are called "family trees," and the largest and most important of them is called the "master tree." These trees can walk, take root, and help the tribe carry any heavy objects under the control of the Snow Priest.
The Sami people have developed a strict sense of cooperation during this long-term migration life. They were extremely efficient, not only in their work but also in preparing for the move. They have an ancient document called the "Tree Book", which is passed down from generation to generation in the tribe and serves as a guideline for this kind of migration. According to my observation records, under the guidance of the "Tree Book", from the end of the divination ceremony to the departure of the tribe as a whole, it may only take half an hour. It can even be said that the efficiency is higher than that of ordinary nomadic platform switching lines. .
Conclusion: The branches are cold and the stream is quiet
For readers interested in traveling to Sami, I wish you a perfect trip. Although I don't know if it is the "loveliest land", it is indeed a lovely enough land. Please be sure to abide by the resort's rules and do not leave the resort's boundaries. Sami may end up being a remote exotic place or a spectacular tourist destination, and there's nothing wrong with that. The introduction of the internal situation of Sami in this article is indeed to enhance readers’ understanding of the real situation of Sami, but it is not intended to further encourage readers to go to Sami and experience Sami for themselves. Based on personal experience, my attitude towards Sami is very complicated and difficult to explain. But I am convinced that Sami should not be disturbed too much by the outside world. There may be secrets there that are not suitable to be revealed now.

The Cult Of -Y: The Ascension
THE TOME OF ATIDO BOOK V: The Ascension
My children,
Long has the journey of revelation been. We have spoken of truths, heresies, war, peace, and the end of the age - The Great Shaw. There remains, however, one final revelation - the dawn of the new age. We must therefore turn, for the last time, to the sacred Tome.
[1] One could be forgiven for mistakenly believing that The Great Shaw - the day Our Red Lady is revealed - would be the end. By no means. For while The Indeterminate Silence ends with the day of The Great Shaw, while the cruel Prophets of Silence will be cast down, while the heretical purveyors of The Inferior Rendering will be judged with Our Red Lady’s Needle, all ends are succeeded by new beginnings.
[2] The Day of the Great Shaw will end the age of The Interminable Silence - Our Red Lady will reveal to us The New Age - The Age of Ascension.
[3] Before, the people gathered through there descent through Hallownest, that beautiful, dangerous, familiar, harrowing, sprawling, boundless place of dwelling for Our Red Lady. From Elderbug to Hera The Beast, from The Queen to The Cast-Off Shell, there we made a home of the unknown. For all of us, our first encounter with Our Red Lady was in the lush flora of Greenpath.
[4] Now, in Our Lady's absence, we wait patiently, longsufferingly, in this place of sojourn, floating through the abyss like the ancient desert wanderers. We wait for The Great Spirits of the Cherry Tree to speak once more. We are as sheep without a shepherd. This wandering we call the Indeterminate Silence.
[5] As we know, our wandering will only cease with the coming of The Great Shaw. What lies beyond this final revelation of Our Red Lady? Who will remain following the Judgment? What is to become of The Inferior Rendering?
[6] Following the judgement, the people will be given access to that final Promised Land - the mountains of Pharloom. One wouldn't dare speculate as to the splendour of those unsearchable heights, but what little we know from The Great Spirits of the Cherry Tree is that we will be given the task of Ascension.
[7] A literal climb, perhaps? Yes - but more than a physical traversal up a sacred landform. The minds and hearts of all those who are faithful to the end of The Interminable Silence will ascend to the great enlightenment.
[8] All of reality will come into focus - the past will be revived in new colour, the abyssal wandering as we waited in deafening silence will be delivered from its nihilistic emptiness and given meaning, and the ascension through Pharloom will make concrete the hopes of the people.
[9] There, The Schism will come to a final, unified end. There will be no more bait to believe, no false hope with which to torment the people, and no further need for neither blessed nor infernal sigils. The conflict will end, unified in the ascension to the air of the heights of the final place of arrival - Pharloom.
[And, with this, the Tome of Atido reached its end, with no further revelation. The cover closed with a puff of dust, leaving nothing but to wait expectantly for the coming of The Red Lady. Praised Be Thy Horned Glyph, O Red Lady!]

Top 6 Best Landscape Places in the World: Majestic Views

From the rugged peaks of Patagonia to the undulating dunes of the Sahara, our planet is home to landscapes that defy imagination, from pristine park waters to vast desert expanses, and beckon adventurers. These places are not just beautiful landscapes and geographical wonders; they're canvases where history has been painted with the brushstrokes of culture, wars, and revolutions. If you're eager to feast your eyes on nature's masterpieces, beautiful landscapes, and walk through living postcards, this journey through the top 6 landscape places in the world will guide you there. Each site tells a unique story—a testament to Earth's diversity, beautiful landscapes, and humanity's footprint upon it.

Defining Landscape Beauty

Natural Wonders

Earth's natural formations are stunning. They showcase the planet's beauty in its rawest form. From towering mountains to expansive canyons, these beautiful landscapes tell a story of time and transformation.
The Grand Canyon, for example, is an iconic natural wonder. It reveals millions of years of geological history through its layered bands of red rock. Visitors stand at the rim, awestruck by its vastness and grandeur.

Geographical Diversity

Our world is a tapestry of diverse landscapes. Each region offers unique sights and experiences that captivate travelers. The diversity ranges from scorching deserts with sand dunes to verdant rainforests teeming with life.
Consider the Sahara Desert and Amazon Rainforest as contrasts in climate and terrain. Within miles, one can go from endless sands to dense greenery—a true testament to our planet's geographical variety.

Biodiversity Hotspots

Biodiversity hotspots are regions rich in wildlife but threatened by human activity. These areas often have a high number of species found nowhere else on Earth—endemic species that add value to our global heritage.
Madagascar is such a hotspot known for its lemurs—primates existing only there—and other unique creatures like chameleons and baobab trees.

North America's Majestic Landscapes

Banff National Park

Banff National Park is a jewel in the crown of Canada. Turquoise lakes and towering peaks create stunning landscapes. Visitors can gaze upon these natural wonders and feel immersed in serenity.
The park is also home to diverse wildlife. Elk, bears, and bighorn sheep roam free here. Spotting these creatures is an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts.
Adventure awaits all year round in Banff. Skiing thrives during winter, while hiking shines in summer months. Each activity offers unique ways to explore this pristine landscape.

Yellowstone Geothermal Marvels

Yellowstone National Park houses incredible geothermal features. Here, you can witness geysers erupting high into the sky. These natural fountains are both powerful and awe-inspiring.
Vibrant hot springs dot the terrain with their colorful waters. Walking among them feels like stepping onto another planet. They reveal Earth's fiery power just beneath our feet.
Learning about Yellowstone's volcanic roots fascinates many visitors. It explains much about the park’s bubbling pools and steaming vents. This knowledge enriches your visit beyond simple sightseeing.

Grand Canyon Geological Wonder

The Grand Canyon showcases Earth’s geological history through its rock layers. Each stratum tells a story millions of years old. This makes it more than just a beautiful landscape—it's a history book written in stone.
Its vastness overwhelms even seasoned travelers visiting this amazing landscape for the first time or returning ones alike. From numerous lookout points, panoramic views stretch out endlessly before your eyes—a testament to nature’s grandeur within the United States.
  • Exploring North America reveals some of the best landscape places

South America's Exotic Terrain

Patagonia's Beauty

The southern reaches of South America are home to Patagonia. This region is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. Hikers find themselves amidst dramatic landscapes and rugged terrain that challenge and inspire.
In Patagonia, every step brings a new sight. You might see massive glaciers carving through the land. Or you could come across deep fjords that cut into the coastline like giant wedges. The towering peaks of the Andes loom overhead, their tips often shrouded in clouds.
Wildlife here is as diverse as the landscape itself. Trekkers may spot pumas on a hunt or flamingos wading in shallow waters. Each encounter adds another layer to this rich tapestry of nature.

Colombia's Adventure

Further north lies Colombia’s dense Amazonian rainforests, an entirely different world from Patagonia’s open spaces. Here, venturing into the jungle is an adventure unlike any other.
Trekking through these lush forests reveals Colombia's rich indigenous cultures. Visitors learn about local traditions and ways of life that have endured for centuries. Navigating along rivers uncovers a realm teeming with life—pink dolphins, caimans, and countless species of birds thrive within this ecosystem.
To discover top 6 best landscape places in the world means embracing both extremes: from icy expanses to tropical biodiversity hotspots such as these.

Europe's Coastal and Geological Splendors

Iceland's Cool Craters

Iceland is a land of fire and ice. Here, you can stand atop dormant volcanoes with breathtaking views. The contrast between the icy landscapes and geothermal wonders is striking. Imagine looking into craters filled with icy blue waters—a testament to nature’s artistry.
In these unique landscapes, experience the power of Earth’s geology up close. Hike around craters where silence speaks volumes. Feel the warmth from nearby hot springs as they punctuate the cold air.

Amalfi Coast Elegance

The Amalfi Coast offers a different kind of beauty. Drive along roads that hug cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Each turn reveals new vistas; each vista tells its own story.
Visit villages clinging to steep hillsides in Italy. These places seem frozen in time yet brim with life. Enjoy local cuisine at restaurants perched above the coastline—where flavors match the view.

Santorini Mediterranean Gem

Santorini sparkles like a gem in Greece's crown—the Mediterranean Sea its backdrop, whitewashed buildings its jewels. This island invites admiration at every glance against azure waters.
Watch sunsets here—they're legendary for good reason! As day turns to night, see caldera cliffs light up under vibrant hues. Explore ancient ruins while sea breezes carry history through your senses.

Africa's Desert and Volcanic Landscapes

Morocco's Desert

Imagine a night sky bursting with stars above you as you rest on soft sands. This is the allure of Morocco’s Sahara desert. Here, travelers can escape to a world where dunes roll like waves across an ocean of sand.
You can embark on a camel trek, feeling the rhythm of these "ships of the desert" as they navigate vast sandy plains. By day, witness golden landscapes stretch to infinity. As dusk falls, camp in traditional Berber tents tucked between dunes. The experience connects you with ancient nomadic cultures who have thrived here for centuries.
The Sahara offers more than just beauty; it provides a rare chance to unplug from modern life. In this serene environment, digital distractions fade away, leaving room for reflection amidst nature’s grandeur.

Ethiopia's Volcanic

Ethiopia presents another stunning African landscape: its volcanic regions are awe-inspiring yet lesser-known gems. The Danakil Depression, part of the Rift Valley system, showcases some of Earth’s most extraordinary geological wonders.
Adventurers hike to peer into craters where lava churns within arm's reach at Erta Ale volcano—one of only six lava lakes worldwide that are visible year-round. It’s like stepping onto another planet—the heat radiates intensely and colors shift hypnotically against darkened skies.
Beyond active volcanoes lie terrains so surreal they seem lunar in their desolation and beauty—salt flats shimmering white under harsh sunlight and towering rock formations that defy explanation or categorization.
  • Discover unique geological structures formed by millennia.
  • Witness salt mining traditions unchanged by time in this stark region.
This corner of Africa offers not just sights but insights—an opportunity to study geology firsthand in one of Earth's most dynamic environments: the Great Rift Valley itself is an evolving masterpiece sculpted by natural forces over eons.

Asia's Peaks and Colorful Formations

Everest Heaven

Mount Everest, the world’s highest summit, offers more than just height. Here, you can view heaven-piercing peaks that leave adventurers in awe. Trekking through challenging trails is a feat of its own. You will pass by quaint Sherpa villages, where culture thrives amidst the clouds.
The journey to Mount Everest Base Camp is not just about reaching a destination. It's an experience filled with breathtaking Himalayan panoramas that stretch beyond horizons. Every step brings a new view, each more majestic than the last.

Zhangye Danxia

In contrast to Africa's deserts, Asia boasts the vibrant Zhangye Danxia Landform. This geological wonder features rainbow-colored sandstone hills unlike anywhere else on Earth. Visitors often find themselves snapping countless photos of these colorful formations.
Walking through this otherworldly park feels like stepping into an artist's palette. Erosion over millions of years has sculpted these rock formations into natural masterpieces—proof that nature is indeed an exceptional artist.

Oceania's Aquatic and Island Beauty

Great Barrier Reef Wonders

The Great Barrier Reef is a marvel of the natural world. It stretches over 2,300 kilometers off Australia's coast. Here, you can snorkel in vibrant coral gardens. They are alive with countless marine species. The water clarity ensures an unforgettable experience.
Diving deeper reveals more wonders. Underwater biodiversity hotspots await adventurous souls. You might encounter gentle sea turtles or colorful reef fish. Each dive offers a unique glimpse into ocean life.
Yet this beauty faces threats from climate change. Coral bleaching shows the impact of rising temperatures on these ecosystems.

Bora Bora Paradise

Bora Bora is akin to a painting come to life. Its beaches boast white sand that feels like powder underfoot. Crystal-clear lagoons surround you, offering serenity and beauty unmatched by any artist's palette.
Swimming here means joining tropical fish in their dance through the water. Manta rays glide past, adding grace to your aquatic adventure. It’s easy to feel one with nature in such stunning surroundings.
Luxury resorts dot the island landscape against volcanic mountains. They offer indulgence amidst breathtaking scenery. Here, relaxation takes on new meaning as you soak up sunsets that ignite the sky with color.

Unique Landscapes of the Sub-Antarctic

New Zealand's Fiordland

New Zealand's Fiordland is a spectacle of nature. Here, glaciers have sculpted dramatic fjords over thousands of years. Visitors often take cruises to fully experience these marvels. The deep waters reflect towering cliffs and lush greenery.
As you journey through, you'll witness waterfalls that dive into the sound with immense force. They create stunning sprays that catch rainbows in the sunlight. This region is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. It hosts species found nowhere else on Earth.

Aleutian Islands Winter

The Aleutian Islands offer an entirely different winter landscape. These islands stretch towards Russia from Alaska and are truly remote. Braving this subarctic climate rewards visitors with unique sights.
You can see various wildlife adapted to cold conditions here. The islands' snowy peaks rise majestically from icy blue waters, offering incredible photo opportunities.
Solitude defines the Aleutian experience, making it perfect for those seeking quiet reflection amidst rugged beauty.

Seasonal Considerations and Travel Tips

Best Times to Visit

When planning a trip, timing is key. Optimal weather can make or break your experience at the world's top landscape places. For instance, the lush greenery of Ireland's Cliffs of Moher is most vibrant in late spring. Meanwhile, the Grand Canyon’s layers are best viewed when summer heat wanes.
To dodge throngs of tourists, consider visiting during shoulder seasons. New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park is quieter in autumn yet still stunning. Also, aligning travel with local celebrations adds magic to your journey. Japan’s cherry blossoms during Hanami festival create unforgettable scenery.

Access and Navigation

Embarking on an exploration? Sometimes it's smart to hire an expert guide. They know Iceland’s volcanic terrain like their own backyard and can lead you safely through its otherworldly landscapes.
Before setting off for remote wonders like Patagonia’s Torres del Paine, research how to get there responsibly. Options may include buses that minimize environmental impact or shared rides that offer camaraderie.
Lastly, gear up appropriately for different terrains—sturdy boots for Australia's rugged Outback trails or waterproofs for Scotland’s Isle of Skye mists—and always carry a map!

Preserving the World's Landscapes

Conservation Efforts

Protecting our planet's landscapes is crucial. Eco-friendly tourism can help. Visitors should support areas that are protected. This means following rules and guidelines.
Many organizations work to preserve natural habitats. They aim to maintain species diversity too. Learning about these initiatives is important. Knowledge leads to better choices while traveling.
Some places offer conservation programs or volunteer opportunities. Participating in these activities can be rewarding. It allows travelers to contribute directly to preservation efforts.

Responsible Tourism

When visiting landscape places, minimizing impact is key. Sensitive landscapes need extra care from tourists.
Travelers should interact with local communities ethically and respectfully. This includes understanding cultural norms and values. Engaging this way enriches the travel experience for everyone involved.
Choosing sustainable accommodations helps as well. Look for services that prioritize environmental protection. These choices support local economies and safeguard natural beauty.

Closing Thoughts

From the rugged grandeur of North America to Oceania's serene islands, we've journeyed through a tapestry of the Earth's most breathtaking landscapes. Each destination offers its unique brand of beauty, whether it's the stark allure of Africa's deserts or Asia's soaring peaks. The world is an open book with countless stories etched into its terrains—stories that await your footsteps and eager eyes. It's not just about seeing these places; it’s about experiencing them, feeling the pulse of our planet in every vista.
Now it's your turn to step out and weave your narrative into these landscapes. Grab your gear, respect nature’s artistry, and remember to tread lightly—our collective footprints shape the future of these natural wonders. Ready for adventure? Go on, make memories that tower like the peaks and run as deep as the oceans. Let's keep exploring, preserving, and cherishing our world—one incredible landscape at a time.

2024.01.02 19:12 KSP-Dressupporter Alternate Kerbol System

As seen in the image, this theoretical mod re-creates the Kerbol system and adds some celestial bodies.

Moho: Moved into a more elliptical, less inclined orbit which crosses Eve's orbit, and can be as low as half the height of its previous periapsis.

Eve: Kept in the same orbit, made a binary to Nemesis, a world of superheated water with a thin atmosphere, radius of 400km and gravity of 0.65g. Eve's gravity reduced to 1.3g, and Gilly doubled in size, and moved into a near-polar, circular orbit further out.

Kerbin: Kept much the same, although the Mun has an inclined orbit and Minmus' orbit becomes eliptical, with a higher apoapsis.

Duna: Moved closer to the sun, Duna now has water in its lower elevations, smaller polar caps and some plant life. Ike has moved closer and been reduced in size. Dres now orbits Duna in a high, inclined orbit.

Dres: Orbits Duna.

Tylo and Vall: Ejected from the Jool system, Tylo has been ripping Vall apart in Dres' old orbit. Vall is reduced by 20% in radius and 10% in gravity, and Tylo now has a radius of 650km and 0.87g gravity. A ring of ejected material sits around Tylo.

Jool: Vall and Tylo have left, Laythe is somehow even closer, Bop has moved inwards and a barren world of desert, with many strange valleys and landforms, Orven, sits in a high orbit. Pol remains unchanged.

Eeloo: Made a comet, Eeloo's apoapsis remains the same, but the lowest point in its orbit sends it scraping past Kerbin. It has reduced to 170km radius, but not changed its gravity, and harbours a 20km atmosphere with half the pressure of Duna's.

Additional changes possible, including the addition of:

Marven: A lonely dwarf planet of frozen hopes, Marven sits alone between Jool and Glomun in an eccentric, inclined orbit. Deep pits hide geysers of swirling ammonia vapour, a geological mystery on such a secluded world. Marven has a radius of 230km, and a gravity of 0.095g.

Glomun: A 4500km radius grey-blue gas giant with rings in a roughly circular orbit at twice the height of Jool's, its three moons are Qikex, a vivid orange magma moon orbiting within the rings. Graven, a 300km radius, 0.45g gravity slate coloured orb, and Trisco, a highly eccentric semi-satellite with massive mountains and deep craters. Graven, the second moon in, hosts a comparatively large pale purple sub satellite of 170km radius.

Kliedo: This 80km speck of a planet enjoys the nickname King of the Comets - every 50 years or so, the mottled blue orb plunges in towards the inner system from beyond Glomun, trailing icy debris as far in as Duna's orbit, while its 12km moon Kliemun lopes along behind. Kleimun is thought to be an aggregation of materials ejected from Kliedo.
