2024.05.16 10:52 BlazinBytes Motorola bootloader unlock having issues
i'm a complete noob to bootloader unlock and i'm trying to install a custom rom on my Moto C Namath because the phone is a dinosaur and nothing works properly. so i learned that to unlock the bootloader i need an unlock code. which i should get from the get unlock data command but it returns this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem get_unlock_data ... FAILED (remote: unknown command) finished. total time: 0.006s
i'm not really sure what i need to do for this to work so that i could get the unlock code from the Motorola website. It's not only this command but fastboo oem device-info also returns the same. however fastboot devices is detected:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot devices ZW3229B4M5 fastboot
I've used actual android SDK program tools, I've used the kingo root tools as well and i get the same error. I've factory reset my phone, removed password turned on oem unlock and USB debug in developer options but its all the same. I don't know what to do please help. here's the information about my device

2024.05.16 10:15 Agentum Rebuild Cluster Nodes (Reinstall ZFS / Restored configs from backup) broke qdevice
So I rebuild our PVE Testing/Training Cluster Nodes(2 nodes + qdevice) with local zfs config. More or less used this with host backup files vom pbs server.
Proxmox VE 4.x Cluster - Proxmox VE Everything went well mostly.
Only issue now is I cant get qdevice to work again and I somehow managed to have the cluster nodes in different subnets.
Did i screw it up completely? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

2024.05.16 09:12 NaiveDocument3062 Index multiple originals locations Truenas scale with symbolic links
| Truenas Scale Dragonfish-24.04.0 SOLVED: I farted around with a few more symbolic links and after many hours have got it working but not sure which link worked XD I will find out and add it here for the next generation of coding noobs like myself I have installed photoprism and had everything working perfectly fine for the single original folder location selected on initial configuration. I also was able to backup phone photos via photosync through photoprism to this truenas machine remotely through a cloudflare tunnel. I have not been able to symbolic link that 'originals' folder to other datasets/folders on the same drive as it doesn't show up during indexing in photoprism. Use case: So I don't have to relocate all my media into one original folder as they are spread over many datasets each belonging to a different family member. ie ct dd pd etc. So that each person can use photosync to backup directly to their own datasets, and then each dataset can have individual control re snapshots etc Pic 1: dataset configuration. appdata is where I have link photoprism originals source. ix-applications is where the containeapp/docker itself lives and needs hosts to be able to access anything outside that ix-application folder. Pic 2: I have added additional storage for ../redset-ct host to be mounted into the app/docker under /photoprism/originals/redset-ct (I dont think this matters? ie: /whatever?). So the photoprism docker app should be able to see it. I did try hosting ../redset-ct directly to /mnt/redset-nas/appdata/photosync/originals directly but nothing. Pic 3: I then tried symbolic links as I have seen many post stating that it works well. I tried: root@omni[~]# ln -s /mnt/redset-nas/redset-ct /mnt/redset-nas/appdata/photoprism/originals/ root@omnix[/mnt/redset-nas/appdata/photoprism]# ln -s /mnt/redset-nas/redset-ct And many others but they do not seem to show up with photoprism indexing after restarting the app. I think my lack of coding/linking knowledge is holding me back. Please let me know if there's something obvious to get this to work and thanks in advance. https://preview.redd.it/ydrd2zgbnq0d1.png?width=801&format=png&auto=webp&s=8f266389409cb8b8b6980a2cba0310f282bf32c9 https://preview.redd.it/ru3lf4j9nq0d1.jpg?width=359&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc8485f24b0191068f995c6d4f9396ae0a102aa1 https://preview.redd.it/3ohdm1j9nq0d1.png?width=934&format=png&auto=webp&s=608f88aa144830e8c44e27777e4d624847beff59 submitted by NaiveDocument3062 to truenas [link] [comments] |
2024.05.16 09:05 yeoldgroudon This is probably a dumb question but does anyone have any suggestions on what job I could do part time? While job searching in my field
I finished uni last year in a degree that specialised things like UX/UI/CX/web design/data visualisation, JavaScript and product design but the only problem is tech market and economy no one is hiring in my country, my mental health wasn’t great last year so I didn’t apply much and I went travelling early this year. Everywhere is being hit even my brother may be laid off as a consultant in a smaller company. I did have a final interview with a company the other day I’m hoping I get but it’s a graduate program and I wouldn’t start until February. If I do get rejected idk what I’ll do I’ve seen people who interned at major tech companies are also struggling to find a job and the market apparently might not improve until next year. I’m currently feeling like a failure I’m living at home but I’m getting $800 a fortnight from the government which is alright so I’m saving some in my bank. Everywhere wants experience even internships want 1 year experience . I have a mentor who’s given me recruiters to reach out ti. I’ve been told my industry is hard to break into and saturated which sucks
Before I started my degree it had a really high rate of employability and there were so many jobs then I graduated at one of the worst times, I know a girl from my degree who’s been looking for a job for 2 years in the industry
I have a portfolio and a resume which I’ve been told both are good and I’ve done things like designathons and contributed to VR research as part of a phd study all I lack is industry experience I’ve been told by people in the industry all my other stuff looks good
So far I’ve only been exploited by businesses that lied to me, one guy even said he wasn’t exploiting me when he was because he said he’s not paying me he wants me to get experience and work 10 hour days for free which is illegal in my country, he also lied about the role. I also worked with a guy that wanted me to be at senior level and I was the only designer there and it was just him and me.
The market is so bad that there’s a company who keeps posting jobs for unpaid work and ask for years of experience for a remote only position and their company has been running for 5 years with no website/posts on linkeldn and the ceo doesn’t even know what his idea is and has nothing to show for it in 5 years. So it’s being run illegally
I’m looking for
customer experience roles, customer support, product expert roles, digital design, product design, CX design, UX/UI roles but there’s nothing or they want experience
Or any other fields I can look into with a degree?
So what job can I do in the meantime? I did after school coding teaching and holiday camp coding teaching but the after school work is only 1 hour and holiday camp was only the school holidays so not much of an income. I’ve previously worked in hospitality but I struggle due to a slight disability where my hands are really shaky. I’ve also done retail for years but I got harassed so much by customers. So does anyone have any other suggestions I was considering swim instructor or something. Thanks! Who knows how long it’ll take to get a job I’m losing hope because of how bad the market is while my siblings have jobs, may take another year then what do I do? Go back to uni and get more debt to change careers?
I’m feeling like a failure at 24 when others have careers and I can’t even start my career I feel like I chose the wrong industry. Hopefully I land the job I think I find out next week

| Building a successful business is like climbing a mountain. The challenges differ depending on where you are on the climb. At the base, you're scrabbling for a foothold, gathering your gear, and figuring out the best path. As you ascend, the terrain changes, demanding new skills and equipment. Staffing your company follows a similar trajectory. The ideal team for a scrappy startup won't be the same one that propels a large enterprise forward. This blog explores the different staffing solutions available at each stage of your business journey, from the lean and mean startup phase to the established and ever-evolving enterprise. https://preview.redd.it/be7gd42kjq0d1.png?width=2240&format=png&auto=webp&s=99268e8bc1eebe7ebe7fb2d603da84508b8aac1e The Startup: Building Your Base Camp Imagine yourself at the foot of the mountain, brimming with ideas but with limited resources. Here, agility and adaptability are key. You need a team that can wear multiple hats and quickly learn new skills. Traditional full-time hires might not be the most efficient option at this point. Here's where some specialized staffing solutions come in: - Temporary and Contract Workers: These are lifesavers for startups. They allow you to fill immediate skill gaps without the long-term commitment of a full-time employee. Need a marketing whiz to launch your website? Hire a contractor. Coding ninjas to build your app? Look for temporary developers. This flexibility helps you scale up quickly and cost-effectively, focusing your resources on core development.
- Freelancers and Independent Contractors: The freelance market is a treasure trove of talent. You can find experienced writers, designers, virtual assistants, and more, all working on a project-by-project basis. This allows you to access a wider pool of talent than you might have in your local area and keeps your overhead low.
- Staffing Agencies: Partnering with a staffing agency can be a great way to find qualified candidates, especially for specialized roles. They handle the resume screening and initial interview stages, saving you valuable time and resources.
The Small and Medium-Sized Business (SMB): Taking the First Steps Up Congratulations! You've made significant progress and established a foothold. Now it's time to solidify your foundation and start growing. While some level of flexibility is still important, you might also need some permanent staff to provide stability and ensure continuity. Here's how staffing strategies can evolve: - Building a Core Team: As your business needs become more defined, you'll want to start hiring full-time employees for essential roles. This could include positions in sales, marketing, customer service, and operations.
- Temp-to-Perm: This is a great strategy for positions where you're unsure about the long-term need. You can bring someone on as a temporary worker and then transition them to a permanent role if they prove to be a good fit.
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs): If you lack the in-house expertise to handle certain functions like IT support or payroll, MSPs can be a lifesaver. They provide a team of experts to manage those tasks, freeing you to focus on your core business.
The Enterprise: Scaling the Peak You've reached the summit, or at least a high plateau, with a well-established team and complex operations. Now it's about maintaining your position and continuing to innovate. Here, attracting and retaining top talent becomes paramount. Here are some advanced staffing solutions to consider: - Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO): This involves outsourcing your entire recruitment process to a specialized firm. They will handle everything from job postings and candidate screening to interview coordination and offer negotiation.
- Executive Search: When you need to fill high-level leadership positions, a dedicated executive search firm can be invaluable. They have the network and expertise to identify and attract the best candidates in your industry.
- Employer Branding: In today's competitive talent market, it's crucial to have a strong employer brand. This means creating a workplace culture that attracts and retains top performers. Consider offering competitive benefits packages, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting your company as a great place to work.
Beyond the Solutions: Building a Winning Team Regardless of the stage you're at, remember that staffing solutions are just tools. The real key to success lies in building a winning team. Here are some additional tips: - Focus on Culture Fit: Skills are important, but cultural fit is equally crucial. Look for candidates who share your company values and will thrive in your work environment.
- Invest in Training and Development: Employees who feel valued and have opportunities to grow are more likely to stay with your company. Invest in training programs and provide opportunities for professional development.
- Open Communication and Feedback: Create a culture where open communication is encouraged. This means giving and receiving feedback regularly, fostering a sense of A sense of trust and psychological safety where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas and concerns without fear of retribution. This will lead to a more engaged and productive workforce.
Building a Diverse Team: Diversity of thought and experience is essential for innovation and success. Actively seek out candidates from different backgrounds and perspectives. This can lead to more creative solutions and a stronger understanding of your target market. The Future of Staffing The world of work is constantly evolving, and staffing solutions are keeping pace. Here are some trends to keep an eye on: - The Rise of the Gig Economy: The freelance and contract workforce is growing rapidly. Businesses are increasingly turning to temporary workers and independent contractors to access specialized skills and scale their workforce up or down as needed.
- Remote Work: Technological advancements have made it easier than ever for employees to work remotely. This opens up a wider talent pool for businesses and allows employees to achieve a better work-life balance.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Recruitment: AI is being used to automate tasks like resume screening and candidate matching. This can help to streamline the recruitment process and identify qualified candidates more quickly.
Conclusion Building a successful team is a journey, not a destination. 2024.05.16 08:04 AstronomerSalty7130 What jobs can I apply for? Where do I look for new jobs?
Hi y'all.
I did my bachelors and then my Masters (in information system) from a good university, first job I got out of college was paying me 52k working as a data analyst at a pharmacy company, during my time at the company I learned automation on UiPath (RPA development) and had to implement it towards different things at the company to save it from going bankrupt during covid. I did pretty good, got a new job as an automation developer at a really big company where I have been at for 2 years now. Started with them at 75k, and after I exceeded expectations and got really good year end review, only got a raise of $2600. I told my manager that I was not expecting this number, I was expecting my salary to be bumped significantly because this raise is not even keeping up with the yearly inflation rate.
I love my job and I love working at the company. But I feel the pay is so disheartening.
Over the years I have learned a lot of skills working at this company. I create low-code automation on UiPath and Power Automate. I've incorporated API calls, SQL queries, and powershell scripts in my process and feel like I've grown a lot as an automation developer.
I'm now married, and finance is big factor in my life. If I were to look for new jobs, with my skills above, what else could I get into? I search LinkedIn for remote automation developer positions but I feel like the job descriptions are way too different than what I can do.
Where should I apply? What salary should I expect? Any different types of jobs that use or could use automation and I can pivot towards that? I'm so confused.
Thanks for reading all this. Much appreciated. Any guidance or advice would also be highly appreciated!
