More specifically, I'm currently in a sh*t situation living with my family; I have no income, and every day is starting to feel like the last day in Saigon. Without transportation, it's not a fun way to be living. I'm trying to get a job far and away until I return to school, but to even get there I'd still need a car. I'm doing research and getting an idea of what I want, I'm willing to make many concessions to keep the cost down. Heck, I'm willing to buy anything that'll haul my things out of town and work for 3-4 years.
With my openness, I'm left with a question: where should I go to search to buy a cheaper but still reliable car?

I have seen alot of games,media and anime pitching alot of interesting concepts. For me lately ive wondered how this concept might go.
One day i will make a extensive doco on the nuances and such. But ive thought of a game idea where it encompasses a city builder,that also has massive RTS,logistical,army building,open world in it. In a massive single or multiplayer war. With exploration an such. With inspiritation from foxhole,coh2,mowas2 robz,(idk any city builders off top of my head ive played but yeah) as well as Ai that is dynamic and able to be somewhat smart builds different armies an such. In addition tons of options to make any vehicles weapons etc. For me the main mechanics of gameplay would be mowas2 robz and with foxhole like building logistics to transport stuff crossmap but with the same huge map rendering as foxhole. (Like hoi4 you can zoom out to see overall situation too) There would also be monsters to fight in dungeons n such.

2024.06.09 01:14 Ok-Acanthaceae-1245 I currently work a federal position and am constantly traveling. Should I buy a car?
I've had bad experiences with used cars and shady mechanics, so I'm hesitant about buying from marketplaces. My mom suggests getting a new car, and I'm considering a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE for ~$24k (out the door price) that has 348 miles (carfax checks out, but the dealer has horrible reviews about fees or it’s used cars A/C going out).
My breaking point has finally been reached: constantly getting rained on, walking 10 minutes + bus to get to work in a SUIT in 93° weather and waiting 45 minutes for the bus to finally arrive (yes I make sure to ride the bus 1 hour before my shift) but somehow the “early” and “late” buses all run on the same schedule. Overall, I’m also tired of relying on other people to take me to where I need to be as well.
My goal is to purchase in August 24’ (3 months of salary into my first full time job after college) and since I would be traveling in July for 3 weeks away from my POD. There will be another 2 week and 3 week training following promptly, not sure the exact dates yet which is why I’m hesitant on purchasing right away. My job requires traveling to taxpayers offices and reimburses transportation (rental, Uber, .67 cents for POV per mileage) so That has its perks as well.
I want to wait 1 year to really save more money and be able to purchase a car in full, but I’m genuinely tired of these inconveniences and jeopardizing my career.
With $20K saved and a mechanic lined up for an inspection, I'm waiting on a loan approval. The car is basically brand new and is affordable. Should I buy now or save more and keep dealing with these hassles?

This is basically a rehash of Return of The Joker. Inspired by someone on here mentioning a toy commercial(?) of the Joker as a computer virus.
An old enemy returns from the dead artificially, to challenge Batman and wreak havoc one last time.
During the early years of the transition from Gotham to Neo Gotham, a building known as “The Grid” is constructed. This serves as the hub for the cities power, communications and information. Everything electronic is powered and monitored here. The “brain” of Neo Gotham.
But The Riddler is on borrowed time and his fixation with beating Batman and being recognised by Gotham as “Gotham’s cleverest carbon based life form!” (the base of his existence won’t be carbon much longer) directs his eyes to The Grid.
How could he not indulge in the perfect crime?
Riddler designs and constructs a machine that can copy, store and preserve consciousness.
In his final moments, the machine scans his entire consciousness.
Ready to be uploaded into The Grid giving Riddler 2.0 full control of the city.
But it goes awry. He miscalculated due to his arrogance (he has a genius level intelligence, but he just isn’t wise) and the copy is quickly stored deep within the archives.
Like a digital Herpes Virus (I just can’t wait to get Shingles in my lifetime, thanks ChickenPox!) it lies dormant in the “brain/nerves” and a mistake by engineers causes Electro Eddie to awake and reactivate, infecting The Grid and as a result, the city.
This gives him a Zero Year style reign over everyone. The dot of his question mark being an all seeing eye.
I think it would also be interesting that like Zero Year he challenges citizens to ask him riddles or challenges them to solve them.
It could be like in the story Riddle Factory where it’s Riddler’s personal game show instead it’s all virtual and the chosen “contestants” get transported to Riddler’s Realm.
If they win they get privileges others don’t. If they don’t, they are killed and the intelligence is siphoned by Riddler (like in Batman Forever) causing him to get stronger.
The Batman 2022 played with the Riddle Factory idea as a Twitch knock-off on the dark web.
Maybe (similar to Gary Numan’s Replicas album) there would be privileged people who come to collaborate with Riddler and support him. Observing the warped “game” like the Zoms Zoms club goers watching “Kill by Numbers” in the song Down In The Park.
Here we see them “cheering him on” with streams of green love heart emojis (like in the film)
The Grid itself turns into a green and purple checkerboard which acts as a giant Chinese Puzzle Box like the one Robin solved in What Is Reality?
It’s a weak point, but this is the result of Riddler’s fixation. He needs the game.
John Glover returns but has the same glitchy, repeated echo effect on his voice as Wingert’s Riddler in City and Knight.
I’d imagine the final segment, once Terry solves the Grid Puzzle and he’s granted access, it turns into a green version of What Is Reality? where he’s entered Riddler’s virtual mind.
It’s vague but things end with Riddler doing a Robocop 3 and freaking out as he destabilises and is shut down for good. Screaming in torment like he did at the end of Riddler’s Reform as a mix of human anguish and malfunctioning dial-up.
Screaming the last words he uttered in his debut in 1948.
“I’ve lost the game! I’ve lost the game!” as his glitched out face goes all Jim Carrey saying “Bummer!”
Knowing that Batman has won for the final time and his Narcissistic defence mechanisms completely collapse just before he is erased.
This results with The Grid being restored and everything becomes functional again. The lights and diodes all go a healthy glowing red instead of a sickly, gangrenous green. Perhaps for a split second we might see a tiny green blip on one of the machines?
The opening of Eva by Orgy plays as Batman flies over the skyline.

Perhaps Bruce has passed away without Terry by his side and he sometimes imagines Bruce in his head, still guiding him.
“Take this gift from me and hold it deep in mind forever. And never let this go.”
Terry always carrying the mantle Bruce gave him.
“I used to think you were crazy, when you were hooked to the screen. And now they tell me you’re in a better place. But where did you go?”
Vaguely fits with Riddler dying and being transferred to a place deep in the archives. Asleep in cyberspace.
I imagine the opening credits happens after Riddler’s AI copy goes to the archives.
The Monomorte Remix of Love Hurt Bleed by Gary Numan plays (Numan is my favourite music artist and I think a fellow, darkly inclined, Autistic bizarro obsessed with dystopian cities deserves his place here) as we see glowing green circuits and glitching transitions.

Hi!
I hope all my links work right, if there are any issues please let me know. I also wasn’t sure if this would be transportation exactly but best I could guess.
It’s been a rough year so far. We had a loss in the family that took me out of work for a week and then my own health started getting worse so I’m still not able to work consistently and am in danger of losing my job. (Since it’s part time there aren’t many leave options)
I have POTS. Symptoms were under control but then my blood pressure started dropping dangerously. They took me off meds and then my heart rate started spiking dangerously.
I’m trying to get some medical accommodations set up so I can hopefully start working more consistently. But it’s taking some time since the doctors are currently bouncing me all around.
I’m working my part time job the best I can and my husband is helping with odd jobs and helping me get around to appointments.
We are trying to make sure all bills are paid but I’m barely making enough to cover utilities right now. I can scrape by as best as possible but am worried about my car. I just got our car at the beginning of Covid when I was working more overtime. We need our car to be able to work and get to my appointments. Any money raised is going straight to car payment while I work on catching everything else up. Goal was 1000 to cover at least two months which should give me time to get everything straightened out.
I already have a few loans I’m not able to make payments on and my family is not able to extend anymore help at the time. Any thing is greatly appreciated.
