During the course of my career as an alpha Sasquatch hunting, Dogman destroying, pussy crushing, luxury watch loving dude, I have run into this particular woman a few times. She is one part uber sensuality, and the other part deadly. Yes, I am speaking about the lovely, Anna Conda. I bring her up because I had another run-in with her last year.
Anna and I first joined forces, so to speak, when she acted as a go-between in my business deal with the Chinese to sell them bigfoot parts. See, I would hunt and kill the critters, cut them up, deliver the parts to Anna, who in turn gave me a suitcase containing unmarked American hundred-dollar bills, then she would transport the bigfoot parts to the Chinese. I was never really sure of what the sneaky-ass Chinese were doing with the body parts. All I knew for sure is that they are extracting certain materials from them, then synthesizing them with some other shit, creating some sort of drug. Whether it then becomes a bio-weapon or a dick stimulant, I do not know. Neither do I care. As long as they kept the hundies coming, I was good.
Now, while Anna is of Russian descent, she is a freelancer. She will work for any sick, skeevy motherfucker out there. She does not care. She has no conscience, at least not in the traditional sense as we understand it in western civilization. Today she is working for the Chinese, and tomorrow she may be working for Hamas. She is a slippery motherfucker.
So here is how it went down. At 11:32 p.m. on a Friday in September of last year I get a call on my cell phone. When the call came in I was balls deep into this hot little lass I picked up at the bus station a little earlier in the evening from an old swarthy chap named “Colorado Joe”. He wanted to sell me the girl. I was assured she was over 20 years old. I told him I needed to take her out for a test ride, which he agreed to.

He also knew that the American government have been fucking with sasquatch for decades. Thus, he was very concerned about the existence of a bigfoot gap. He ordered the acquisition of a Sasquatch specimen immediately.
Moreover, said specimen must be prime. It needed to be the biggest, baddest sasquatch of them all – a true alpha – so as to speed things along. Putin did not want some weird shit-creature, is-it-a-sasquatch-or-is-it-a-dogman, kind of monstrosity. He wanted purebred, badass sasquatchery, and preferably from the American Pacific northwest.
Anna got in on it because she sold the intel to Putin about China’s Sasquatch operation. She then told Putin she could produce sasquatch corpses for him. She told him she had a contact (i.e., me). Thus, with Putin’s blessing and promises of riches to come, Anna set out to America to find me.
Now, here is where things got a bit squirrely. See, I agreed to procure some more dead sasquatch. I have no problem with killing sasquatch because, in my opinion, they are an abomination on this Earth. I kind of feel like I am doing God’s work by wiping out as many of them as I can. And given all the not-so-Godly stuff I have done, I feel like killing Sasquatch kind of offsets that to some degree.
But Anna, she was stuck on Putin’s instruction that she must supply him with apex Sasquatch. So she did not want to take my advice of heading to the Pacific Northwest or Alaska. Instead, Anna claimed to have pinpointed the whereabouts of a particularly gruesome sasquatch beast that she KNEW would win her a fortune from Putin if she brought it to him.
“So, where is this beast?”, I asked. Anna replied “Martha’s Vineyard”. I paused. Then I asked her to repeat herself. It turns out that I was not mistaken about what Anna had said. I continued, “Uh, Anna, there are no sasquatch on Martha’s Vineyard, just a lot of wealth New Englander schmucks.”
Anna looked at me and told me I was wrong. Then she decided to attempt to taunt me. “Oh, Rod, mighty slayer of Bigfoot! Yet, you fail to take notice of where the biggest, most foul and rotten beast of them all makes its home. Jesus, Rod!! What kind of bigfoot hunter are you, anyway?” Anna then spit at my feet and wondered aloud whether she even needs me for this job.
I decided that I needed to straighten out the hierarchy here in order for this here deal to move forward. I said, “Well, Anna, feel free to truck on over to Old Whitey Beach and battle that beast. But, if there is a big old mangy sasquatch lurking around over there, then it is probably a fucking Nazi-Squatch. You know, those fuckers out there hate the Jews.”
The work “Nazi” visibly shook Anna. Her great grandfather died defending Leningrad. Her entire family there died of either starvation or cannibalism during Hitler’s siege during Operation Barbarossa. Anna despised Nazis. But she feared them too. After landing that punch, I decided to push my luck.
“Now, I am still willing to help you catch this here Nazi-Squatch, but you have to do something for me”, I said. Now Anna’s eyes were on me, and they were narrowing. I continued, “I want you to get bare assed naked and pleasure yourself while I stand over you and jack it.” Anna stared at me silently for a long moment. Then she replied.
“After the job is done, and you can get none of your … fluids… on me”, she said. I shook my head and countered, “Now, and I will ‘try’ to not get my spunk on you.”

She looked me in my eyes, then matter-of-factly said, “You get the beast, and your prize shall be a night with me, anything goes, darling.” Well, since this caused all of the blood to immediately drain from my brain, I had a lapse in judgment. “DEAL!!”, I said. Then we shook on it.
“OK, tell me more about this supposed monster sasquatch on Martha’s Vineyard”, I said. I still was not ready to believe there was a monster out there. “I show you photo”, said Anna. She took out her phone, scrolled to find the photo, then handed the phone to me. “There. Sasquatch”, she said.
I stared at the photo and remained silent. After a long moment, I turned the phone so that Anna could see the photo and asked, “Uh, Anna, is THIS what you intended to show me?” She replied. “Yes! There…Sasquatch! The biggest, grossest monster around.”
Now, I could not argue with Anna that the image on her phone is a big, gross monster. Hell, it could actually be a sasquatch, and THE UBER sasquatch. It is most certainly the grossest thing on Martha’s Vinyard. But I somehow do not think this is what Putin is expecting.
I turned to Anna and said, “Anna, this is a photo of Michelle Obama. I know it looks vile, and has a huge, hulking body with large appendages where a woman should not have them. But, sweatheart, that ain’t no sasquatch. That’s a big, hairy Chicago street negro.”
Anna did not believe me at first. She was hard in her conviction that Obama was a sasquatch. “I have seen the Sasquatch beast you deliver to me for China. This … Michelle Obama …. It is big, and hairy, and ugly like the sasquatch beast, but worse.”
When the truth finally set it, I could see that it had kind of broken down poor Anna, if only just a bit. I put my arm around Anna and told her, “Look, Michelle O fooled you. Hell, she and her Hamas Hubby fooled millions of Americans, twice! At least you saw Michelle for what she is, to wit: a big, gross sasquatch, and NOT some kind a retarded leftist messiah.”
After that, things took a rather dark turn. “What if we still take her to Putin? We can make deal; sell her to Putin!!” At this point I held up my hands and said, “I’m out”, then turned and walked away. Anna followed, trying to get me to stay. At this point, I could tell that Anna was coming undone a little.
See, she had to produce for Putin. There is no telling what kind of secret deal she actually had with him. She had to deliver a big old mangy Obama …. Er, uh, I mean … Sasquatch, to Putin.
“Ok, Rod, we do your plan. We go out west to kill bigfoot. Huge, monster bigfoot. she said. I turned and looked Anna in her eyes and said the following: First, we bang for 48 hours straight, right now, so I can get my fill of you. Second, you pay me $10,000.00 cash upfront. Third, upon delivery of the dead bigfoot, you pay me $1 million immediately.”
Anna agreed to everything, but noted that at the present time it was her “time of the month”. I grimaced, as I will absolutely not go there (and she knows that). “Fine, next week we bang”, I said. She pointed out that I would be in the woods next week hunting sasquatch. “Fine, once I come out of the woods, then we bang – 48 hours straight”, I said. “Of course, darling!”, she agreed.
Well, it took several days to set up the hunt, but it finally happened. I was in Washington state at high elevation based on intel I has acquired that indicated that there was a monstrous 15’ tall sasquatch on the mountain range that had been murdering and eating hunters and hikers. After 3 months in these mountains without a trace of the creature I began to lose hope, thinking that I probably got some bad intel, or bad coordinates.
I got my satellite phone out to call for an extraction. Winter was setting in fast, and if I did not get off this mountain soon, then I would freeze and/or starve to death. Unfortunately, my contact did not answer. I tried for 2 days. No answer. I had been fucked. I wondered what had happened back in civilization that caused me to be abandoned like this. I resolved that I would get off that mountain and get to the bottom of this shit. There would be hell to pay for this betrayal!!’
I was able to get in touch with contacts from back home. I got old Billy Ray from Ellijay and Rattler on the phone and got them to come out here to Washington State to extract me. Rattler use to fly helicopters in the Army. He has an old Huey sitting in his front yard, to the chagrin of his HOA. He fired that sucker up, and him and old Billy Ray flew out here to my coordinates and extracted me.
After landing at a convenience store to buy some beer for the flight home, we headed east. Through the skies a way, Billy Ray said, “Well, Rod, I guess you is bout ready to git back home to Georgia, eh?” In fact, I was ready to go home. But I had to take care of some business first. I told them both to take me to New York City. They were both perplexed. All I said to them was “I have an old friend there I have to see before I can go home.”
I have intel on where Anna Conda stays when she is in the United States. She stays at certain hotels depending on what month she is here, and whether her check-in date is an odd or even number. This is for undercover work. I came across the code for her stays while doing the sasquatch work for China. She an I were caught in a snowstorm one night in Buffalo, NY, and had to share a room at the Holiday Inn near the airport. We had like 10 big Igloo ice chests with iced down sasquatch body parts with us in the room.
Anna was like, “No hanky panky, Rod. I am tired and I want to go to bed. Tomorrow we finish business.”
Frankly, I did not blame her for withholding her magnificent muff from me. I was tired as hell. But, I could not settle for nothing. We had to stop several times for fuel and beer. Those Hueys go just a bit over a hundred MPH, you know. But eventually, we got there. I gave the boys some money and told them to go to the Waffle House for some coffee to sober up. Then they would fly me home.
I should mention that I also had Rattler’s fully auto Russian AK-74 with spare mags. During the long flight with 2 drunks from Washington State to New York City, I had worked myself up into a towering rage over how Anna fucked me on this Putin deal. She had clearly thrown me aside. But for what, exactly? I figured I would storm the hotel room, get some answers, then shower the room with gun fire.
I busted through the door of Room 355 at exactly 3:35 a.m. There she was. My entry roused her from slumber. I was pointing my rifle at her, center mass. She was shocked at the appearance of a gunman in her room at this time of night. However, she was not as shocked as one would think (this was not the first time something like this has happened to her).
I raised my face from the receiver just enough so she could see it was me. “Rod!!!”, she exclaimed. “What happened to you?!?!? I thought you had died up in those mountains when we never hear from you!” I replied, “Shove it up that cute little ass of yours, Anna. You fucked me. And not in the good way. What the fuck was all that shit about needing a sasquatch for Putin?!?”
Anna played dumb. But it struck me that I had been deliberately put out of the loop for 3 months. Why? Who wanted me away for that long, and why? What went on in my absence?!? I was just dying to know!!! I set my rifle down and pulled out my fixed blade knife, ready to get down to some real nasty work on Anna so I could get some truth. The pure evil of what I was about to do to her caused a wide death grin to grow on my face. Anna saw it. She knew what it meant. She swallowed hard and her eyes betrayed the shear terror she felt inside. I was engorged with blood lust. She knew she had fucked up one time too many this time!!
Suddenly came the sound of the toilet in the bathroom flushing. I was momentarily shocked. I did not expect anyone else to be there with Anna. Anna saw it in my face. I glanced at her and saw that the terror in her face was replaced with pleasure, a slight smile creeping over her face.
I was going to have to face off against this person in the bathroom, who would be out in a split moment. When I do that, I will have to turn 180 degrees from Anna, thereby making me vulnerable to her. I had only once choice: Shoot Anna first.
Just as this came to me, but just before I could act on it, the bathroom door opened. I had to deal with that person before Anna now. I spun around to see that it was a completely nude, and fat, white man. He was a real oafish blob. He looked surprised to see me. He also looked sort of familiar.
I next heard the crack of something hitting my skull hard. I remember the immediate hateful pain that shot through my body and the sound of blood rushing through my ears. I remember the dizziness, then falling to the floor. Clearly, as I fixed on the man from the bathroom, Anna had cracked me over the head with a blunt object.
I came to the next morning, Billy Ray and Rattler had manage to track me down based upon coordinates I left in the chopper that said “IN CASE OF EMERGENCY”. Billy Ray filled up the hotel room ice bucket with cold water and doused my head with it to bring me conscious. I was disoriented at first. But after a bit, what happened in this room the night before came back to me.
Honestly, I am surprised that Anna did not just kill me. I presume that she thinks she can leverage her drop-dead hotness to get me to do more shit for her in the future. She is absolutely right about that too. Rattler then said, “Hey, Rod, that snake bitch left a letter fer ya.”
He handed me the letter. This is what it said:

So here is how it went down. At 11:32 p.m. on a Friday in September of last year I get a call on my cell phone. When the call came in I was balls deep into this hot little lass I picked up at the bus station a little earlier in the evening from an old swarthy chap named “Colorado Joe”. After a moment to allow me to simmer in my shame, she asked, “You were not paying attention, were you, Rod?” I shook my head and looked down.

Moreover, said specimen must be prime. It needed to be the biggest, baddest sasquatch of them all – a true alpha – so as to speed things along. Putin did not want some weird shit-creature, is-it-a-sasquatch-or-is-it-a-dogman, kind of monstrosity. He wanted purebred, badass sasquatchery, and preferably from the American Pacific northwest.
Anna got in on it because she sold the intel to Putin about China’s Sasquatch operation. She then told Putin she could produce sasquatch corpses for him. She told him she had a contact (i.e., me). Thus, with Putin’s blessing and promises of riches to come, Anna set out to America to find me.
Now, here is where things got a bit squirrely. See, I agreed to procure some more dead sasquatch. I have no problem with killing sasquatch because, in my opinion, they are an abomination on this Earth. I kind of feel like I am doing God’s work by wiping out as many of them as I can. And given all the not-so-Godly stuff I have done, I feel like killing Sasquatch kind of offsets that to some degree.
But Anna, she was stuck on Putin’s instruction that she must supply him with apex Sasquatch. So she did not want to take my advice of heading to the Pacific Northwest or Alaska. Instead, Anna claimed to have pinpointed the whereabouts of a particularly gruesome sasquatch beast that she KNEW would win her a fortune from Putin if she brought it to him.
“So, where is this beast?”, I asked. Anna replied “Martha’s Vineyard”. I paused. Then I asked her to repeat herself. It turns out that I was not mistaken about what Anna had said. I continued, “Uh, Anna, there are no sasquatch on Martha’s Vineyard, just a lot of wealth New Englander schmucks.”
Anna looked at me and told me I was wrong. Then she decided to attempt to taunt me. “Oh, Rod, mighty slayer of Bigfoot! Yet, you fail to take notice of where the biggest, most foul and rotten beast of them all makes its home. Jesus, Rod!! What kind of bigfoot hunter are you, anyway?” Anna then spit at my feet and wondered aloud whether she even needs me for this job.
I decided that I needed to straighten out the hierarchy here in order for this here deal to move forward. I said, “Well, Anna, feel free to truck on over to Old Whitey Beach and battle that beast. But, if there is a big old mangy sasquatch lurking around over there, then it is probably a fucking Nazi-Squatch. You know, those fuckers out there hate the Jews.”
The work “Nazi” visibly shook Anna. Her great grandfather died defending Leningrad. Her entire family there died of either starvation or cannibalism during Hitler’s siege during Operation Barbarossa. Anna despised Nazis. But she feared them too. After landing that punch, I decided to push my luck.
“Now, I am still willing to help you catch this here Nazi-Squatch, but you have to do something for me”, I said. Now Anna’s eyes were on me, and they were narrowing. I stared at the photo and remained silent. After a long moment, I turned the phone so that Anna could see the photo and asked, “Uh, Anna, is THIS what you intended to show me?” She replied. “Yes! There…Sasquatch! The biggest, grossest monster around.”
Now, I could not argue with Anna that the image on her phone is a big, gross monster. Hell, it could actually be a sasquatch, and THE UBER sasquatch. It is most certainly the grossest thing on Martha’s Vinyard. But I somehow do not think this is what Putin is expecting.
I turned to Anna and said, “Anna, this is a photo of Michelle Obama. I know it looks vile, and has a huge, hulking body with large appendages where a woman should not have them. But, sweatheart, that ain’t no sasquatch. That’s a big, hairy Chicago street negro.”
Anna did not believe me at first. She was hard in her conviction that Obama was a sasquatch. “I have seen the Sasquatch beast you deliver to me for China. This … Michelle Obama …. It is big, and hairy, and ugly like the sasquatch beast, but worse.”
When the truth finally set it, I could see that it had kind of broken down poor Anna, if only just a bit. I put my arm around Anna and told her, “Look, Michelle O fooled you. Hell, she and her Hamas Hubby fooled millions of Americans, twice! At least you saw Michelle for what she is, to wit: a big, gross sasquatch, and NOT some kind a retarded leftist messiah.”
After that, things took a rather dark turn. “What if we still take her to Putin? We can make deal; sell her to Putin!!” At this point I held up my hands and said, “I’m out”, then turned and walked away. Anna followed, trying to get me to stay. At this point, I could tell that Anna was coming undone a little.
See, she had to produce for Putin. There is no telling what kind of secret deal she actually had with him. She had to deliver a big old mangy Obama …. Er, uh, I mean … Sasquatch, to Putin.
“Ok, Rod, we do your plan. We go out west to kill bigfoot. Huge, monster bigfoot. she said. I turned and looked Anna in her eyes and said the following: First, we bang for 48 hours straight, right now, so I can get my fill of you. Second, you pay me $10,000.00 cash upfront. Third, upon delivery of the dead bigfoot, you pay me $1 million immediately.”

Well, it took several days to set up the hunt, but it finally happened. I was in Washington state at high elevation based on intel I has acquired that indicated that there was a monstrous 15’ tall sasquatch on the mountain range that had been murdering and eating hunters and hikers. After 3 months in these mountains without a trace of the creature I began to lose hope, thinking that I probably got some bad intel, or bad coordinates.
I got my satellite phone out to call for an extraction. Winter was setting in fast, and if I did not get off this mountain soon, then I would freeze and/or starve to death. Unfortunately, my contact did not answer. I tried for 2 days. No answer. I had been fucked. I wondered what had happened back in civilization that caused me to be abandoned like this. I resolved that I would get off that mountain and get to the bottom of this shit. There would be hell to pay for this betrayal!!’
I was able to get in touch with contacts from back home. I got old Billy Ray from Ellijay and Rattler on the phone and got them to come out here to Washington State to extract me. Rattler use to fly helicopters in the Army. He has an old Huey sitting in his front yard, to the chagrin of his HOA. He fired that sucker up, and him and old Billy Ray flew out here to my coordinates and extracted me.
After landing at a convenience store to buy some beer for the flight home, we headed east. Through the skies a way, Billy Ray said, “Well, Rod, I guess you is bout ready to git back home to Georgia, eh?” In fact, I was ready to go home. But I had to take care of some business first. I told them both to take me to New York City. They were both perplexed. All I said to them was “I have an old friend there I have to see before I can go home.”
I have intel on where Anna Conda stays when she is in the United States. She stays at certain hotels depending on what month she is here, and whether her check-in date is an odd or even number. This is for undercover work. I came across the code for her stays while doing the sasquatch work for China. She an I were caught in a snowstorm one night in Buffalo, NY, and had to share a room at the Holiday Inn near the airport. We had like 10 big Igloo ice chests with iced down sasquatch body parts with us in the room.

I thought you had died up in those mountains when we never hear from you!” I replied, “Shove it up that cute little ass of yours, Anna. You fucked me. And not in the good way. What the fuck was all that shit about needing a sasquatch for Putin?!?”
Anna played dumb. But it struck me that I had been deliberately put out of the loop for 3 months. Why? Who wanted me away for that long, and why? What went on in my absence?!? I was just dying to know!!! I set my rifle down and pulled out my fixed blade knife, ready to get down to some real nasty work on Anna so I could get some truth. The pure evil of what I was about to do to her caused a wide death grin to grow on my face. Anna saw it. She knew what it meant. She swallowed hard and her eyes betrayed the shear terror she felt inside. I was engorged with blood lust. She knew she had fucked up one time too many this time!!
Suddenly came the sound of the toilet in the bathroom flushing. I was momentarily shocked. I did not expect anyone else to be there with Anna. Anna saw it in my face. I glanced at her and saw that the terror in her face was replaced with pleasure, a slight smile creeping over her face.
I was going to have to face off against this person in the bathroom, who would be out in a split moment. When I do that, I will have to turn 180 degrees from Anna, thereby making me vulnerable to her. I had only once choice: Shoot Anna first.
Just as this came to me, but just before I could act on it, the bathroom door opened. I had to deal with that person before Anna now. I spun around to see that it was a completely nude, and fat, white man. He was a real oafish blob. He looked surprised to see me. He also looked sort of familiar.
I next heard the crack of something hitting my skull hard. I remember the immediate hateful pain that shot through my body and the sound of blood rushing through my ears. I remember the dizziness, then falling to the floor. Clearly, as I fixed on the man from the bathroom, Anna had cracked me over the head with a blunt object.
I came to the next morning, Billy Ray and Rattler had manage to track me down based upon coordinates I left in the chopper that said “IN CASE OF EMERGENCY”. Billy Ray filled up the hotel room ice bucket with cold water and doused my head with it to bring me conscious. I was disoriented at first. But after a bit, what happened in this room the night before came back to me.
Honestly, I am surprised that Anna did not just kill me. I presume that she thinks she can leverage her drop-dead hotness to get me to do more shit for her in the future. She is absolutely right about that too. Rattler then said, “Hey, Rod, that snake bitch left a letter fer ya.”
He handed me the letter. This is what it said:

- Liquidity is high in the market, and is showing very little signs of stress right now. Traders remain long the market, and are short on volatility. This is ensuring that pullbacks get bought as liquidity is high.
- Right now, we see very little cause for much concern. I had the question recently about some speculation from some X users saying they are seeing put gamma building in the option chain to suggest there are signs of a downturn coming. This is not the correct interpretation of the put gamma we see. - A look at NVDA positioning: just below the key level of 900.
- We are seeing positive gex across the board really, not much put gex. Gamma is building on 1000 again. Traders probably look for more upside here.
- Reaction to PPI probably be limited as traders await CPI. IF good, can see short term jump before faded intraday into CPI.
- Headline CPI and PPI should get benefit from the fact that oil prices are lower into May from start of April. Used cars should come light on CPI, and we still hope for the shelter prices to reflect real time rents that we see from Zillow data. I think its possible CPI can beat expectations.
- China Inflation rate: comes 0.3% YOY vs expectations of 0.1%. Previous reading was 0.1%
- As such, China inflation rate was higher than expected. This is bullish for Chinese market as represents another step away from disinflation. 3rd month in a row, out of disinflation.
- MOM was 0.1% vs estimate of -0.1%
- Fed’s Jefferson speaks as well as Fed’s Mester
- Tomorrow is PPI, WEed
- SPX - Trading at 5234. Is up 0.34% today, Closed friday at 5220. Looks like recovery of ATH at 5272 is on the horizon soon, if CPI can support.
- nasdaq: Trading at 18,222, up 0.5% in premarket. Strong resistance at around 18,340. That is more or less where ATH is. So again, will be targeting ATH.
- Dow: ATH is just shy of 40k. Right now, Dow is trading at 39,580. So ATH is target again. 9th green day in a row now.
- GER40: Flat around 18,750. Lack of any real negative catalyst nor fear in the market. Target still looks like 19k.
- UK100: Trading totally flat at 8430. Has squeezed significantly higher. Up 9% in the last month.
- HKG50: is higher by 1%, back above 19,135, due to the China CPI coming in ahead of expectations, confirming move away from Deflation, and also the fact that China will be embarking on more stimulus.
- CHINA50: Flat really, around 12,700.
- OIL - slightly higher as China might intensify efforts to stimulate economic growth with launch of ultra long sovereign bonds. Will be trying to target the 80 level For WTI if CPI can support.
- GOLD - Trading at 2350. Again will be targeting 2400 this week with CPI.

- Right now, we see very little cause for much concern. I had the question recently about some speculation from some X users saying they are seeing put gamma building in the option chain to suggest there are signs of a downturn coming. This is not the correct interpretation of the put gamma we see. - With QQQ above 440 and SPX above 5200, vol structure is supportive.
- These are now key levels of support
- We probably see some choppiness, likely with upward pressure as positioning supportive. The choppiness will come from amrket makers tryingt o hedge their volatility surpression.
- Vix is at 13.37, likely to remain between 13 and 14.
- We see basically bullihs positioning on indices.
- However, skew on SPX and QQQ, whilst elevated (indicating bulishness) is pointing lower as traders start to hedge. Meanwhile, skew on VIX is supressed, pointing to lack of fear in market, but points higher. This is due to traders hedging for CPI and PPI.

- As such, China inflation rate was higher than expected. This is bullish for Chinese market as represents another step away from disinflation. 3rd month in a row, out of disinflation.
- MOM was 0.1% vs estimate of -0.1%
- Fed’s Jefferson speaks as well as Fed’s Mester
- Tomorrow is PPI, WEed
- SPX - Trading at 5234. Is up 0.34% today, Closed friday at 5220. Looks like recovery of ATH at 5272 is on the horizon soon, if CPI can support.
- nasdaq: Trading at 18,222, up 0.5% in premarket. Strong resistance at around 18,340. That is more or less where ATH is. So again, will be targeting ATH.
- Dow: ATH is just shy of 40k. Right now, Dow is trading at 39,580. So ATH is target again. 9th green day in a row now.
- GER40: Flat around 18,750. Lack of any real negative catalyst nor fear in the market. Target still looks like 19k.
- UK100: Trading totally flat at 8430. Has squeezed significantly higher. Up 9% in the last month.
- HKG50: is higher by 1%, back above 19,135, due to the China CPI coming in ahead of expectations, confirming move away from Deflation, and also the fact that China will be embarking on more stimulus.
- CHINA50: Flat really, around 12,700.
- OIL - slightly higher as China might intensify efforts to stimulate economic growth with launch of ultra long sovereign bonds. Will be trying to target the 80 level For WTI if CPI can support.
- GOLD - Trading at 2350. Again will be targeting 2400 this week with CPI.
- BOJ reduces bond buying in latest operation, causing yen to increase earlier in session, but since pared the gains.
- Dollar flat/moving slightly lower this morning ahead of PPI tomorrow. Trading at 105.1

Positioning for Today:
- With QQQ above 440 and SPX above 5200, vol structure is supportive.
- These are now key levels of support
- We probably see some choppiness, likely with upward pressure as positioning supportive. The choppiness will come from amrket makers tryingt o hedge their volatility surpression.
- Vix is at 13.37, likely to remain between 13 and 14.
- We see basically bullihs positioning on indices.
- However, skew on SPX and QQQ, whilst elevated (indicating bulishness) is pointing lower as traders start to hedge. Meanwhile, skew on VIX is supressed, pointing to lack of fear in market, but points higher. This is due to traders hedging for CPI and PPI.
- As such, traders hedge a bit,due to the data, but positioning overall bullish.
- Top options being bought are 5400 and QQQ 450. both are v much OTM but it shows traders positioning is bullish. Just with hedging for possible short term vol.
- What can we say about the market scenario right now, going into a very important CPI week?
- Liquidity is high in the market, and is showing very little signs of stress right now. Traders remain long the market, and are short on volatility. This is ensuring that pullbacks get bought as liquidity is high.
- Right now, we see very little cause for much concern. I had the question recently about some speculation from some X users saying they are seeing put gamma building in the option chain to suggest there are signs of a downturn coming. This is not the correct interpretation of the put gamma we see. This whole rally up, since November, and especially around the time of Israel Iran scenario, we have seen put gamma remain on the option chain because traders have been trying to call an eventual pullback. Trying to get ahead of it, thinking that the market is overextended. To be honest, yes, the market has had a crazy run. But these people trying to get ahead of the pullback, has just caused more squeeze higher as data and market moves haven’t followed. E.g. If CPI comes soft this week, all of this put gamma will have to be closed or will expire worthless, which means that it will fuel a more extreme push higher. This will probably move us to ATH soon. This is the type of scenario that has got us to near 5300 on SPX. So the put gamma is nothing o be looked into in terms of bearish signal.
- Skew for MAG7 stocks remains at ATH. Default Swaps remain very low. Right now we are not seeing positioning for a market ready for a sustained pullback, but in fact are showing signs of a market ready for new ATH.
- If we see a pullback from CPI coming hot, it likely will not last unless it is extremely hot. This is because Powell has already mentioned that there is basically no chance of another hike. Traders remain very short vol. If CPI comes hot, its probable we see a short term spike in VIX, and a jump in dollar, but then the VIX spike will get faded as traders sell into the volatility, which will trigger a buy the dip.
- Right now traders are hedging, but are not positioned for a sustained pullback. Skew is elevated but pointing downwards. This means traders are overall bullish but are seeing short term risks Skew on short term is pointing lower but on 3m points to new highs. Traders may see potential a short term dip from CPI, but for it to not disrupt the bullishness of the market beyond the ver immediate term as they suspect any dip will be bought.
- This hedging is particularly on IWM as it is more interest rate sensitive as we see skew point lower. Traders are lowering call options but this is normal ahead of key data. It is just hedging it is not sign of a change in positioning.
- 200 will probably be the supportive wall on IWM on pullback.

- We see a lot of put delta at 200 which will make it supportive, then again at 196 which will probs mark max low incase of v hot print.
- Traders are still v bullish in this market, as are institutions. They just hedge.
- A hot CPI will probably lead to a short term pullback, and I will suspect many people will overestimate the magnitude of this and will turn bearish. They will then get fucked again in the buy the dip just like last time. I will update you nearer the time, but this seems the scenario.
- If CPI comes in line, or soft, we probably rip to ATH, as this will fuel more rate cut sentiment.
- We will then have CPI soft, as well as jobs numbers softening.
- I think that the CPI numbers are actually less important right now. We are still yet to see the inflation trend necessary to give the Fed the confidence required to get to cuts. This will likely take many months to get to that point. SO a hot print doesnt change too much in that way, and a soft print still needs a lot more to follow to increase confidence beyond that.
- However, Powell also laid out the other path to rate cuts, which is that the job market will weaken.
- Right now, we are seeing many signs of a weaker job market, although it is not weak enough to be at recessionary levels. This is actually right now then in a. Sweet spot. May be weakening enough to push the Fed to still consider cuts, but not weak enough to be recessionary.
- If we look at the indeed wage growth numbers, Indeed being a private job listing site, we see wage growth over 2023 and into 2024 has continued to move lower. JOLTS is showing a direct Correlation with this. The Indeed data is leading JOLTS lower, so we should expect to see further weakening in the labour market.

In China, it is common to see facial recognition security cameras in public places. (There is no such thing as a social credit "score", so don't worry about that. However, many of the cameras are tied to the PSB system, so for Chinese people, their last seen location can be searched according to their ID card number by the police, since the ID card information also includes facial data.) However, apparently some facial recognition works even if you are wearing a mask. For example, the Alipay facial payment available at some stores works even if you are wearing a COVID surgical mask. How does the facial recognition work even though the person is wearing a mask? Does it judge the size of your face, the distance between your eyes, your skin colour, etc.? If stores have this technology, it is possible that the municipal HD security cameras on the street have this technology too, so how could you prevent it? I can only imagine that the only way to prevent it would be to wear a hood, ski mask and sunglasses, which would look cool in the winter (and is what I wear in the winter), but it would be very uncomfortable in the hot summer, so I just go maskless and live with the privacy issues. In the winter, I usually wear a hood and a ski mask while biking anyways, so maybe the winter is better in this regard. Would wearing the aforementioned articles of clothing make the facial recognition less effective?
It is possible that I do not have to worry about any of these, since I am a foreigner (more specifically, a Canadian), and foreigners do not have a Chinese ID card or its associated biometric data, so I can't use Alipay or Weixin facial payment even if I wanted to. Just came back a few days ago from a 3 week trip to Japan. Here was my experience:
To preface:
Day 1-3: Tokyo - I landed right on Pride weekend! It was fantastic. I knew only 1 person in Tokyo and I had some friends randomly also in Tokyo the same time I was. We went out for a drag brunch, one of the first of its kind in Japan as it's still a very new concept for the country. Performers were great though. Went to the Shinjuku gay district and had a blast discovering all these cool bars all with different vibes. It's also a great place to meet locals, tourists and immigrants (not just immigrants from Western countries, but from other Asian countries like China, Vietnam, Korea etc. who now live in Japan). There was also a festival for Pride in Yoyogi park and it was crowded and fun. Great to see Tokyo really embracing Pride.
Day 4-10: Based myself in Osaka but went exploring with my Setouchi JR West Pass throughout the week I was in Osaka. Went to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island, Nagoya so I can make my way to Ghibli Park (not a part of JR West so I paid out of pocket for that), and went to Kyoto twice. Overall, I really liked Osaka. I love big cities that are lively and noisy. I don't mind the crowds when I am also shopping in the Dotonbori area. The best part was cutting my day short in Kyoto because I was feeling sick, and then discovering that there was an exclusive Sailor Moon Museum happening in Namba and deciding to get tickets for that. Best unplanned experience that was actually better than Ghibli Park. Also, shopped on Orange Street, one of the best places for fashion lovers. Osaka castle was great but the line up to get in the castle was way too long and the day was super hot. Got to a see a high school Kendo tournament going on though so that was a neat experience!
Day 11-12: Flew to Sapporo from Osaka. It was cold. Windy on the first day. Rainy on the second day. Overall, just cold. Not Canadian Winter cold, but I wish I had a warmer jacket cold. It was the few places that had cherry blossoms left. The Sapporo Beer Museum was really neat and I liked learning about the history of such an iconic brand.
Day 13-21: Back to Tokyo. I am a remote worker and my job doesn't care where I work so I took the opportunity to save some vacation days for a future trip, and just work remotely while exploring Tokyo and surrounding areas. Went to Mt. Fuji for a day and back, did not get to see the mountain as it was really rainy and foggy that day. Wento the lucky cat shrine and it was cute but also busy for such a small shrine thanks to TikTok. Went out to the gay bars two more times and had a blast and met some new people (locals and tourists) who I still keep in contact with on social media. Got a tattoo at one point - LOVE IT. The artist was amazing and so gentle, I hardly felt anything. Did some more shopping in Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku and my favourite place - Harajuku! Overall, I really enjoyed Tokyo and my Japan trip as this was my first time.
Time and weather:
As much as I loved having a list of some places to eat at, I abandoned it and didn't really care anymore. From high-end restaurants, cafes, local places and even fast-food, everything was delicious. I stopped caring about where I ate, and just took a walk down any street and when I saw a menu I liked, I just went in. Honestly, even Denny's in Japan was amazing (it's a different menu and not like Denny's in Canada).
Shopping experience:
Loved shopping in Japan. I brought one large suitcase that was empty, put a smaller suitcase inside of it and then had my backpack and carry on suitcase. The yen was weaker than CAD, plus if you spend over 5,500 yen, and show them your passport, you'll get the tax off and some stores offer additional discounts for foreign passport holders.
Brands I bought:
I really like Japan and I would go again, but now that I've experienced it, I now know what I like and don't like. As much as everyone raves about Kyoto, I honestly didn't care for it. Inari shrine was great, the climb to the top was great exercise and most people give up not even halfway up so it gets less and less busy. I also like Nishiki market as I love street food in Vietnam so that type of vibe of just trying everything was a great experience. But honestly, Kyoto was a tourist trap (as with most places). Gion district was cute but you definitely won't find locals hanging there unless they work there. The street will be quiet for 10 minutes, then the next set of tour buses will come, 8 taxis will come and the whole experience walking through the street is kind of ruined. Also, it just felt a bit like...Disneyland. Everything was catered to tourists. I'm not someone who even seeks out places where locals are so you can meet locals as I don't really care that much if I meet a tourist or a local, if it happens it happens, but I'm not obsessed with it. But I somehow just got this feeling that Gion has been warped into a thing for tourists who are sold an "authentic, cultural experience". It reminds me of tourist traps in Vietnam, and maybe I only have this view because I've experienced Vietnam too. Perhaps a non-Asian tourist won't see this and to each their own of course. The media portrays Japan as a nation that is ONLY Japanese people, and that you will only meet Japanese people serving you and that despite a low birth rate, immigration is just not a thing in Japan. This is false. I can't count the number of times where I'll order food, have the cashier speak to me in English and Japanese (because I don't know Japanese), sit down and then hear the cashier and other staff speak Vietnamese. It dawned on me that pretty much all the food service staff were Vietnamese in Osaka and Tokyo. Probably more in other areas if I paid attention more. I started speaking Vietnamese back to them and they were surprised that I knew they were Viet. We made some pleasant conversation and for the most part they liked that someone acknowledged that they were Vietnamese. However, one time, one girl told me not to speak Viet to her or she'll get in trouble. The staff are allowed to speak Vietnamese to each other but not to the customer because the boss didn't want people to know that they weren't being served by Japanese people. Some places were more obvious such as people from Nepal, India or Pakistan working there but spoke perfect Japanese. Some places clearly only hired Vietnamese people because they can pass as Japanese. This was more shocking to me than any culture shock I could have experienced as a Canadian.
I think there's a sense of Japan being a rich nation, aligned with the US, that it's better than places like Vietnam. But after spending some time in both countries, I saw that even buildings were built in a similar way. Narrow staircases, no baseboards, sometimes low ceilings, and businesses stacked on top of each. I loved Japan and like I said, I would go again. But I think I would stick to just to Tokyo and Osaka next time. Both are also very touristy but not in a way that it's disguised as anything else. Osaka Dotonbori is a place to shop. People know that. It's extremely crowded, but you're there to shop, not for a cultural experience. If I were to go elsewhere, I would try Okinawa and maybe a rural experience too. But other than that, I'm someone who goes for the shopping and eating experience and the nightlife. I know some people might not agree with my take, as most subs about traveling to Japan always seem to be finding an authentic Japanese experience. But being able to realize that some people serving you aren't Japanese and that most experiences are waterdown and overpriced tourist experiences, you quickly realize that authentic Japanese experiences (as with any country popular with tourists) are hard to come by.

Just to provide more details on my experience that contrasts a lot of what you may find on Reddit.
Cleanliness:
Yes, parts of Tokyo and Japan itself is clean. But I have seen some parts of Toyko with garbage on the ground. Osaka is more obviously dirty if you want to put it that way. More garbage on the street, especially at night. My local friend told me that Japanese people are just good at hiding their litter and when they think no one is watching, they do litter.
Homelessness:
I saw homelessness. In Asakusa where my hotel was, there was one homeless lady on the main street near Don Quitos. I also some when you are walking to Shibuya Scramble Square. It's a big city, I'm sure homelessness is an issue there. I saw a TikTok while I was there about homeless runway children in the Shibuya and Shinjuku area.
Shyness/Attitude:
I was always told that many Japanese wouldn't really want to make small talk with you. But honestly it really depends. I had pink hair and had my nails done with a cute fun design on them. So many cashiers, retail people etc. wanted to compliment my nails and tell me how cute they were. Even leaving Japan, as I was going through security, the security lady complimented my nails as I was placing my liquids and computers in a bin. I also carried around a Sailor Moon tote bag I got from the museum and strangers on the street were stopping me to compliment it. I'm a man and I have my nails done, pink hair and a Sailor Moon tote bag. If you give them a reason to talk to you, they will.
Weak yen:
The best part about clubbing is going to the 7-11 near the gay district alleys, buying cheap alcohol, drinking it with your newly made friends, and then going back into the club to dance some more before doing it again 20 minutes later. Alcohol is so cheap there! 450 yen for a can of Jack Daniels and Coke...that's like $2-3 Canadian. We Canadians usually pay $6 or $8 for a can!
More on fashion:
I tried my best to avoid buying brands I could get in North America but sometimes the exchange rate and no tax was too good. Commes Des Garcon Play sneakers in Canada are $200 before tax. Found a design that isn't available in Canada, no tax and the conversion made them $160. Had to get them. Bought a Dior cardholder that's $480 before tax in Canada. No tax and converted price in Japan turned out to be $390. I say definitely look for the Japanese brands you can't get back home because you'll come back with more unique pieces (even if it's a popular, mass product in Japan) but also if you have your eye on designer pieces, chances are the piece is cheaper in Japan. The only thing I found that Hermes and Chanel were the same price or more expensive in Japan. But other brands like Gucci, Dior, Prada, Burberry and Louis Vuitton were cheaper.
Even Uniqlo is cheaper. The viral bag that people like is $25 in Canada. In Japan it's $13. There was a Golden Week sale that made the bags $8 each.
I did avoid some brands like A.P.C or Diesel (which is everywhere in Japan) because despite it being cheaper, I know when there's a sale on SSENSE it's even cheaper than what you could get in Japan.

To preface:
- I'm Canadian, Vietnamese, gay man, solo traveller
- I like new experiences and eating food, but I am not one to seek out the best or hottest place to go or obsessively look for tips on social media
- I like shopping and fashion and love discovering brands I am unable to get in North America
- I've been to Vietnam and I understand the very complex socioeconomical discrimination between Asians and Southeast Asians, colorism and what is considered a "rich" Asian country and a "poor" or "jungle" Asian country. I will have a hot take on this later in my breakdown.
Day 1-3: Tokyo - I landed right on Pride weekend! It was fantastic. I knew only 1 person in Tokyo and I had some friends randomly also in Tokyo the same time I was. We went out for a drag brunch, one of the first of its kind in Japan as it's still a very new concept for the country. Performers were great though. Went to the Shinjuku gay district and had a blast discovering all these cool bars all with different vibes. It's also a great place to meet locals, tourists and immigrants (not just immigrants from Western countries, but from other Asian countries like China, Vietnam, Korea etc. who now live in Japan). There was also a festival for Pride in Yoyogi park and it was crowded and fun. Great to see Tokyo really embracing Pride.
Day 4-10: Based myself in Osaka but went exploring with my Setouchi JR West Pass throughout the week I was in Osaka. Went to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island, Nagoya so I can make my way to Ghibli Park (not a part of JR West so I paid out of pocket for that), and went to Kyoto twice. Overall, I really liked Osaka. I love big cities that are lively and noisy. I don't mind the crowds when I am also shopping in the Dotonbori area. The best part was cutting my day short in Kyoto because I was feeling sick, and then discovering that there was an exclusive Sailor Moon Museum happening in Namba and deciding to get tickets for that. Best unplanned experience that was actually better than Ghibli Park. Also, shopped on Orange Street, one of the best places for fashion lovers. Osaka castle was great but the line up to get in the castle was way too long and the day was super hot. Got to a see a high school Kendo tournament going on though so that was a neat experience!
Day 11-12: Flew to Sapporo from Osaka. It was cold. Windy on the first day. Rainy on the second day. Overall, just cold. Not Canadian Winter cold, but I wish I had a warmer jacket cold. It was the few places that had cherry blossoms left. The Sapporo Beer Museum was really neat and I liked learning about the history of such an iconic brand.
Day 13-21: Back to Tokyo. I am a remote worker and my job doesn't care where I work so I took the opportunity to save some vacation days for a future trip, and just work remotely while exploring Tokyo and surrounding areas. Went to Mt. Fuji for a day and back, did not get to see the mountain as it was really rainy and foggy that day. Wento the lucky cat shrine and it was cute but also busy for such a small shrine thanks to TikTok. Went out to the gay bars two more times and had a blast and met some new people (locals and tourists) who I still keep in contact with on social media. Got a tattoo at one point - LOVE IT. The artist was amazing and so gentle, I hardly felt anything. Did some more shopping in Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku and my favourite place - Harajuku! Overall, I really enjoyed Tokyo and my Japan trip as this was my first time.
Time and weather:
- rainy for half of it, warm for the other half. Chilly in Sapporo.
- was in Sapporo and Tokyo for Golden Week. Not as crazy as everyone says it would be. It was much crazier leading up to Golden Week. Was still able to get reserved seats tickets at the station itself easily and no need to book in advanced online. Honestly, didn't even bother booking online as the website isn't very clear especially when you have a JR West pass already.
- Digital Suica card on my iPhone. Worked for everything. So easy to use and got me around everywhere including the Kansai region and Sapporo.
- Right when I got off the plane, I got on a Airport Limo bus which was so much easier. No need to know which station to get off from and they had space for all my luggage. Took me to a hotel stop that was 2 blocks away from my hotel. Honestly, after a 9 hour flight, a limo bus is worth the $25 instead of the train and subway.
- Subways became easy to use and once you get to used to them, Osaka and Sapporo was easy to navigate as it was similar to Tokyo's subway.
- If you have a JR pass, pay attention to if you can use it on the local JR lines. Typically, you can. I forgot, and I tapped my Suica to enter a JR local line in Hiroshima, then I realized I could use my JR pass, so I stuck my pass in the machine and it let me through. But because I never tapped my Suica to leave the JR line in Hiroshima, my Suica card stopped working for train stations because it thinks I'm still on a trip in Hiroshima. Had to go to a subway guard (the ones in the booth next to the station gates where you tap your Suica), told them what happend using Google Translate and showed them my JR pass and they understood right away. They took my phone and put it on this scanner and it reset my Suica card. Very easy as if they've done this a million times before (they have).
- Used the convenience store and hotels to send my big luggage to my next hotel so I wouldn't have to deal with it on the train or train stations or flying with it when I flew from Osaka to Sapporo. Such a great service. Just bring your luggage to your hotel reception and tell them your next stop and when you want the luggage by. They will try to get it there the day you requested or the day after. Just be prepared to live out of your carry on for 1 or 2 days. If your hotel doesn't offer it, any 7-11, Family Mart or Lawson offers it. Lawson uses Japan Postal, 7-11 and Family Mart uses Yamato. I also sent my luggage to the airport before I had to leave Japan and it was a breeze. But be warned, for any transfer to an airport, it has to be 2 days before your departure flight or it won't make it on time.
As much as I loved having a list of some places to eat at, I abandoned it and didn't really care anymore. From high-end restaurants, cafes, local places and even fast-food, everything was delicious. I stopped caring about where I ate, and just took a walk down any street and when I saw a menu I liked, I just went in. Honestly, even Denny's in Japan was amazing (it's a different menu and not like Denny's in Canada).
Shopping experience:
Loved shopping in Japan. I brought one large suitcase that was empty, put a smaller suitcase inside of it and then had my backpack and carry on suitcase. The yen was weaker than CAD, plus if you spend over 5,500 yen, and show them your passport, you'll get the tax off and some stores offer additional discounts for foreign passport holders.
Brands I bought:
- Onitsuka Tiger - best shoes ever. So stylish, comfy and very popular in Asia.
- Beams - they carry a variety of brands and their own brands.
- FR2 - great streetwear brand. They have different stores in different cities and exclusive pieces for that city.
- In Osaka, look for The Goodland Market on Orange Street. They carry brands that emphasize sustainability. Very laid-back and casual.
- Master-piece - great brand for bags.
- Saturdays NYC - this is an American brand but has a store in Tokyo. Loved the vibes. Very laid back.
- Rage Blue - easy styles with nice colours and cuts. Often had sales going on. Has a variety of brands.
- United Arrows - great styles here too. You'll be coming back to your country so fashionable.
I really like Japan and I would go again, but now that I've experienced it, I now know what I like and don't like. As much as everyone raves about Kyoto, I honestly didn't care for it. Inari shrine was great, the climb to the top was great exercise and most people give up not even halfway up so it gets less and less busy. I also like Nishiki market as I love street food in Vietnam so that type of vibe of just trying everything was a great experience. But honestly, Kyoto was a tourist trap (as with most places). Gion district was cute but you definitely won't find locals hanging there unless they work there. The street will be quiet for 10 minutes, then the next set of tour buses will come, 8 taxis will come and the whole experience walking through the street is kind of ruined. Also, it just felt a bit like...Disneyland. Everything was catered to tourists. I'm not someone who even seeks out places where locals are so you can meet locals as I don't really care that much if I meet a tourist or a local, if it happens it happens, but I'm not obsessed with it. But I somehow just got this feeling that Gion has been warped into a thing for tourists who are sold an "authentic, cultural experience". Ken knows Yellen is going to China in person so he raises concern about National debt. Once Yellen gets to China and wants China to buy US bond (debt) or at least, stop selling US bonds.
IF Chinese gov agrees, Yellen offers foreign investments to assist China's recovery. Of course, Yellen would pick HongKong stock market as it has been the worst performance in the past year.
Stock 101 tell me, buy low sell high, and HongKongis well positioned.
If you remember, literally all US stocks were tanking during that period from April.11~19th, but recovers as assuming other HF brought it back up. And the funds sold are used to invest in HongKong stocks. I am not saying Yellen did it, but i do not rule out related HFs. (check youtube, there are some weird looking HF reps promoting HongKong market)
IF you look at FXI (US ETF tracking HongKong 50 largest cap), it has been trying to break out in the first Q and finally after Yellen's visit to China, HongKong stock index ticker hsi has been breaking out into a bull-run.
Now, it may be a bit early to call it a bull run, but identifying it early on gets the most out of it. If my theories landed on the right track, Chinese and US governments are pumping HongKong stock market. At least someone is(are). After all, most of the HongKong large cap companies are below 50% of its former glory some even at 30% which sets up the perfect position as US market is over-brought and HongKong market is over-sold.

Correct me if I am wrong, YINN is an ETF like SPY, its value goes up when people buy its share and goes down when people sell.
Since this ETF tracks HongKong stocks, it will reset everyday and increase/decrease base on the % in HongKong market close. Let say HongKong stocks goes up 1%, which FXI will increase 1% AND YINN will increase 3%. note: its gain/loss is compounded
Here is the big question. IF people start buying YINN and pump it up to $100 per share and assuming the HongKong bull run is real, wouldn't everyday be like earning call for YINN? Since if its really a bull run, wouldn't the up sides out-weight the down sides which in short, everyone makes money during the bull run, except the bears.
How do I know if I am early or late? I check the yahoo chat room on YINN/FXI, its dead empty. and I think I might be the only regard to come up with this stupid idea and something feels wrong.
Now i finished writing my thoughts, I assume Monday open, YINN and FXI will start green like how bull run should be. There will be down days, that's how they attract foreigner investors to invest.
I don't know if i should share this dumb idea, but I am still learning, welcome all kinds of thoughts and critic.

But perhaps the tide is starting to turn?The high-flying Nikkei is looking shaky, with tailwinds from a weaker yen, corporate reforms and rampant risk appetite now arguably priced in. After climbing to record highs, you get the sense traders are questioning what will be the catalyst to drive the next leg higher? In contrast, the unloved and underinvested Hang Seng has stealthily entered a bull market after careening to multi-year lows earlier in the year. With no meaningful correlation with western stock markets and nowhere near as sensitive to macro events abroad, it’s an interesting trade prospect right now, either directly or part of a pairs trade. With Chinese policymakers said to be considering a proposal to exempt individual investors from paying taxes on dividends for Hong Kong stocks purchased via China’s Stock Connect, according to Bloomberg, the measures being rolled out to support market gains continue to grow. Key macro events to watchLooking at the macro event calendar next week, there is little from either Japan or China .  | Hi, I own an original Xbox with revision 1.1. It has been soft-modded with XBMC4XBOX. I have had an issue for a few years where if I turn the Xbox on, it will stay on for about 10–20 seconds and then abruptly shut off. When I popped open the Xbox, I couldn’t see any sort of burn marks or issues with the capacitors on the power supply. I’ve ordered a new Delta DPSN-96AP power supply, which should hopefully be compatible with the connectors. Are the Delta power supplies usually more reliable than the FoxLink that’s in the Xbox? Hey! I am very favoritive of sateen. Im a hot sleeper, and im currently sleeping On NO sheets, but I have AC and breathable bedding. From what ive seen and touched in person, just love the clean lustre of sateen. The issue is.... Im shopping for a twin xl and that limits options. Sijo has sheets for 130 dollars but they run a lot of random sales which tells me theyre charging far above whats necessary, and also, id rather not spend over 100 dollars for twin xl sheets that are made in China. If you have their sheets and they absolutely rock, tell me! Otherwise ive got nothing. Any leads? And if you recommend a 600 dollar set of sheets i will egg your house.

My family home is called the jolly anglers, we moved in when I was 1 year old in 1978 And parts of it goes back to medieval times as a wayside hovel, still has the original inglenook fireplaces. Was a public house/guest house for many years before we moved in, I will add a picture of it my mother has from Victorian times when I go round tomorrow, The earliest record of it that I've managed to find is in the 1841 census when William Rivett is the innkeeper. It was acquired by Steward & Patteson from Ferrier & Co. in 1884 and was still an S&P brewery pub when it served its final pint in 1952.
At some point between 1901 and 1911 the Angel changed its name to the Jolly Anglers possibly coinciding with a change in landlord. We think the poet Jessie Pope who moved to Fritton village after her marriage in 1929. Maybe referenced it in her collection of verses entitled Three Jolly Anglers, published in 1913. In the 1900’s they also added on a tearoom.
Over the years my mum could of and should of written a book about the paranormal happenings at the house that many of us experienced and have had three different paranormal investigating teams visit the house. I will take and upload pictures of historical features when I’m over there tomorrow. Dad built a indoor pool in 1988 and found many seashells deep down when it used to be linked by sea. And had a small jetty and boats used to moor up to visit it. (It’s now in the middle of the countryside) and over the years water has receded over a mile away in distance but many years ago the sea linked into The lake nearby and in pre-medieval times was largely dug then to extract peat for burning. The village where the house resides seems to have been known to our Roman heritage for ‘in a small hillock’ lying about half a mile north of the lake near to our house.
People always want to hear the paranormal side of my parents house which was part medieval wayside hovel then inn and a pub after that in Norfolk uk. so I’ve written some of the strange things that have Happened in my parents house ‘the jolly anglers’
Where do I start.. we moved into the house in 1978 and in the first six months mum was in tears and Wanted to leave again as she was scared to death of all the strange happenings, Dad was working away offshore at the time and they’d used all their money to buy the old house so knew they couldn’t just up and leave, dad wasn’t one for giving in but he also wasn’t the one living it daily. Half the time it was just mum, me as a 9month old and my older siblings 15 and 17. now they say teenage energy can cause spirits to be active in houses and it attracts them so Maybe that could’ve been why they all saw a lot when I was a baby in the house.
One night mum was in bed and I was in the cot in the same room when she woke up and heard rustling coming from the staircase which is open and goes straight into their bedroom , she then in the dim light saw a black shadow floating up the stairs and move very slowly to my cot, she was in shock and couldn’t move for a while and watched it float across the room and as the figure leaned in to my cot, mum was petrified and put the side light on in panic and the shadow just disappeared, she said the noise sounded like crinoline dresses how the material rustled as someone walked along, maybe in the Victorian era.
Another time My parents also whilst in bed heard an old honky-tonk type piano play downstairs, cigar smoke and voices several times in the first six months of living there- note they had no piano nor smoked. Dad always went down to investigate with his double barrel shot gun but everything went silent whenever he opened the door at the bottom of the stairs.
They lived with daily bangs, strange voices,knocking and footsteps all through their lives and also others myself and my siblings have heard these also on a regular basis, my brother and a friend of his whilst in the lounge one evening saw the start of what looked like a red woman’s dress coming down one set of stairs in the old area which was originally the pub.
The pub area is my parents best lounge and was once two rooms but dad knocked Them both into one big one, when it was a pub one was a smoking room and the other was the bar room which still has a bar in it but not the original one. My father purchased it from a old retired landlord of a demolished pub in Great Yarmouth. this room has a staircase each end one staircase goes into my parents bedroom, the other staircase the opposite end goes up into a small hall and off that are two bedrooms, one was my brothers And the other was my sisters, But I slept in there with her frequently. My parents built a small bedroom downstairs which was a section of the larger bathroom which decades before was called the parlour room not the bathroom, we do know from history records that one of the landlords children many years ago died in the house of tuberculosis a young girl about eight years old. My auntie used to sleep in my old small bedroom when she visited us and one evening Was petrified when she saw what looked like flickering candles moving under the doorframe, on another occasion she heard breathing which sounded raspy and a female crying. She ended up sleeping in my brothers room and refused to stay In my little bedroom after the two events.

Years later a neighbour from the village was at one of our parties and was talking about the history of her family, they had lived in our village for many many years and she had been doing some family research and had recently found out that her great great grandmother had been pulled out of the lake which is near our house. she Apparently had drowned herself because twins were prevalent in her family, she had had two sets and was pregnant again, her husband had recently died And she couldn’t take it anymore, she was very poor and when they took the body from the river they didn’t have funeral homes in those days in villages, so they always laid the bodies out in a cold place.. which was normally the local pub cellar, where in fact she was laid out to be buried in our pub cellar and they held the post-mortem there too which she had documents of. which funny enough was my playroom as a child And freezer storage area. Now no one knows if she died wearing a red dress but it was sense that she loved children by the psychic so everyone thinks that that is the lady in a red dress that was my invisible friend as a child. Another occasion at a party there was a nonbeliever there who was joking about ghosts and what people had seen and said to a group of people ‘it’s a load of old nonsense’ the moment he said that the old heavy wooden front door creaked open and no one was there behind it, apparently he went very pale and flustered, many people witnessed that.

One if my nieces has seen a lady sitting in a old velvet chair in one of the bedrooms, My other grandmother when she stayed over once heard what sounded like rings being dropped into the sink, as all bedrooms have a sink in, as it used to be a guest house. As a teenager I moved from my sisters old room into my brothers old room at the back of the house and one night I woke to see a very tall man in a black cape, we have no street lights in the village and I never shut my curtains as we are not overlooked, so the moonlight was coming through my window and he must’ve been 6 foot five tall as his head nearly reached the ceiling, and I could see in the light he had fair hair which was slicked back and parted at the side, but he didn’t move it was like a picture in a picture book I couldn’t help but be quite mesmerised for a few second on how clear it was, but I lost that feeling and suddenly jumped up and ran out of that room, Didn’t even bother putting a light on I woke my parents up and I burst into tears, that really shook me up. After that event i even changed the layout of my room so I wouldn’t wake up in that position again. Me My Husband And our 2 year old daughter left at four in the morning once after a family wedding because my daughter was crying, my husband picked her up out of the cotbed and she pointed to a Corner near the stairs and said ‘man there’ she has autism and her speech was delayed at that age but she was psychically scared of something that night She did not settle there which was very unusual for her, it scared my husband so he said ‘we are going home now! When we got to our own home she slept peacefully, I believe a spirit was Being a nuisance to her.
One of mums best friends was spiritual and told me that I had a gift and that I saw spirits, It’s something I never wanted and it scared me every time, even in my own house grown with a daughter and husband of my own I still see ‘people’ as I call them in my own home at night and every time I see them I always think it’s an intruder before ever thinking its a spirit lol And I always ‘fight not flight, I run at them to attack and always end up running into my bedroom door lol.
My dad has been dead 15 years and when he died, he died at home in bed and the house was very active again for a while but my father built a lot of the new part of the house with his own hands so we all knew he would have a lot of energy there when he passed.
Mum Now on her own at the house and she Will be 80 in 2022 she now has Limited mobility but she is very stubborn and has no intention of leaving, it’s far too big for her to cope with but she has a Gardner and cleaner and I help her a lot with shopping, she says when she leaves this house it will be in a coffin.
My daughter is 11 and she stays with her nan ny every Friday night, it’s her routine and my mum loves having her, she stays a few days a week when it’s summer holidays and school holidays and she loves the house, but I feel she is spiritual too so can sense things but it doesn’t bother her to sleep on her own in my sisters old room next door to my mums. until about a year ago she told my mother that she had seen her grandad in mothers room where she slept on occasions and he asked her questions like ‘what does she like to do. After that she now sleeps down stairs, which is now where mother sleeps also now due to mobility.

She said she ran so fast up the stairs that she ran out of the top of the nightdress and ripped it, she Was shouting when she ran upstairs to my sister to grab me out of the cot and get in my brothers bedroom they then barricaded the door with his wardrobe and Didn’t sleep at all that night till morning when they all investigated together, apparently My brother complained and said ‘it’s roasting hot up here mum’ she replied ‘you will have to bloody sweat as I’m not going down till morning!
going up to bed one night she’s turning all the lights off in the lounge, she had a gold Latch she used to flip down to secure the door in lounge to the rest of the house, one night after she had done that as she walked to the stairs she suddenly heard the latch flick up and the door slowly open, another scarper up the stairs and lock the door behind her and put covers over her face.
all the bedrooms have either key locks or bolts on the inside of every Bedroom door due to travellers Visiting the pub years ago could rent a room for the night if they wanted as guests, Mum very much appreciated the locks and bolts as she did think it was mostly intruders to start with. It’s funny when you look back on it all and you think to yourself.. spirits can get through locked doors and bolted doors! but at the time it makes you feel really safe and secure that They will stay behind a locked door and funny enough most of the time They did.
Many times dad was armed with his shotgun quietly sneaky round the house after hearing bangs bumps and knocks..it’s a big house with many steps, levels, twists and turns so could take him a while to do a sweep search of the house, mum said she was always so relieved when he came back up to bed and said ‘no ones broke in’ but then both equally Perplexed on what the noise was that they heard in the first place.
Paranormal investigators along with mum and her teenage grandson witnessed all the glasses in bar which are stored upside downs start to all clink together several times.
Years later they went from a latch lock In lounge area to a battery operated alarm door lock so if it’s switched on And door opens, a alarm sounds. Which she set religiously. In middle of the night she heard the smoke alarm going off, when she went down half asleep and groggy to investigate she couldn’t smell any smoke so she got a stool and checked the smoke alarm and in her groggy sleep state she suddenly realised the noise was coming from the door which had been opened, she hastily shut door and used the old bolt and ran upstairs.
Mum was tidying behind the bar one morning after a family party we had the night before when she felt something or someone grab her shoulder, there was no one there.
There is a small American Indian doll high up on the bar (is still there) and one day my parents noticed I was playing with it as a toddler, they say there was no way possible that I would of been able to get that myself they said ‘how did you get that down from there? I apparently said ‘the lady gave me it!
So many to recall but these are some throughout the 46 years of my life.

At some point between 1901 and 1911 the Angel changed its name to the Jolly Anglers possibly coinciding with a change in landlord. We think the poet Jessie Pope who moved to Fritton village after her marriage in 1929. Maybe referenced it in her collection of verses entitled Three Jolly Anglers, published in 1913. In the 1900’s they also added on a tearoom.
Over the years my mum could of and should of written a book about the paranormal happenings at the house that many of us experienced and have had three different paranormal investigating teams visit the house. I will take and upload pictures of historical features when I’m over there tomorrow. Dad built a indoor pool in 1988 and found many seashells deep down when it used to be linked by sea. And had a small jetty and boats used to moor up to visit it. (It’s now in the middle of the countryside) and over the years water has receded over a mile away in distance but many years ago the sea linked into The lake nearby and in pre-medieval times was largely dug then to extract peat for burning. The village where the house resides seems to have been known to our Roman heritage for ‘in a small hillock’ lying about half a mile north of the lake near to our house.
People always want to hear the paranormal side of my parents house which was part medieval wayside hovel then inn and a pub after that in Norfolk uk. so I’ve written some of the strange things that have Happened in my parents house ‘the jolly anglers’
Where do I start.. we moved into the house in 1978 and in the first six months mum was in tears and Wanted to leave again as she was scared to death of all the strange happenings, Dad was working away offshore at the time and they’d used all their money to buy the old house so knew they couldn’t just up and leave, dad wasn’t one for giving in but he also wasn’t the one living it daily. Half the time it was just mum, me as a 9month old and my older siblings 15 and 17. now they say teenage energy can cause spirits to be active in houses and it attracts them so Maybe that could’ve been why they all saw a lot when I was a baby in the house.
One night mum was in bed and I was in the cot in the same room when she woke up and heard rustling coming from the staircase which is open and goes straight into their bedroom , she then in the dim light saw a black shadow floating up the stairs and move very slowly to my cot, she was in shock and couldn’t move for a while and watched it float across the room and as the figure leaned in to my cot, mum was petrified and put the side light on in panic and the shadow just disappeared, she said the noise sounded like crinoline dresses how the material rustled as someone walked along, maybe in the Victorian era.
Another time My parents also whilst in bed heard an old honky-tonk type piano play downstairs, cigar smoke and voices several times in the first six months of living there- note they had no piano nor smoked. Dad always went down to investigate with his double barrel shot gun but everything went silent whenever he opened the door at the bottom of the stairs.
They lived with daily bangs, strange voices,knocking and footsteps all through their lives and also others myself and my siblings have heard these also on a regular basis, my brother and a friend of his whilst in the lounge one evening saw the start of what looked like a red woman’s dress coming down one set of stairs in the old area which was originally the pub.

The Arlecchino Character Quest seems to be a continuation of both things I didn't enjoy about the Fontaine story so far and also things related to earlier regions that fall in line with my poetry theory. In the story we meet Clervie and her mother Crucabena. I think the Genshin wiki already noted this but these names are actually Irish or Welsh mythological figures. But it's just a reference for now likely because the real story is weird. Clervie is actually fine but Crucabena had a son Mordfran who was ugly so she decided to have slaves create a wisdom potion for him so he could rely on his intelligence over his looks. For some reason though her potion was mostly poison and only the first three drops of it were the wisdom potion. As it happens boiling liquids can spill over and that means the people working on the brew can get burned by random splatters. If you've ever cooked soup before you know what I mean. Anyway Crucabena didn't realize this and so it happened and the person to be burned was Gwion. What's most people's first instinct when they get burned by a little hot soup? Put the wound up to your mouth. Gwion did just that, drank the drops that had burned him and became smart. Crucabena then got pissed and chased him around and somehow wisdom potion meant shapeshifting powers in this story so they did that a bunch and then finally she caught him. The end. I bring that up not just to say that the story we got only used their names but also that maybe one day we will in fact get a Mordfran or even a Gwion. Genshin tends not to use cultural references superficially and I mean all we know is that Arlecchino killed Clervie and then Crucabena. It's entirely possible to come up with a follow-up where Crucabena actually trained a previous "king" or maybe she actually did have a son and she showed favoritism to him thus sparing him from the House while bringing Clervie in. One day Mordfran could want to take revenge for his mother or maybe Pantalone and Pulcinella will use him to take revenge on Arlecchino since she said she'd deal with them if they took Project Stuzha too far. The sky's the limit on what they could do with this. On the opposite end though is Arlecchino's own name. Peruere just means to consume by flame in Latin. So it's just a really simple reference to literally what Arlecchino's power is. Side Note: There's another reference to Irish and Welsh mythology here. The location of the old House of the Hearth? It's on Mount Esus. Esus is the Celtic God of Power worshipped by Gaul and Brittania. Actually Esus has been likened to Ares or Mars. That's perfect for Arlecchino. It's also perfect for anything to do with the Fatui, the Tsaritsa and their eventual war against Celestia. There's also another Celtic god Teutates or the God of Tribes that has been related to Mercury. Stuzha or стужа is just Russian for severe cold. This is a one to one translation from Chinese 严冬计划 yandongjihua or "Operation Severe Cold." Side Note: Cтужа actually comes from the old Russian for just cold which is really funny because it's spelled like "stud" lol. Even funnier when you find out this word came from the Proto-slavic "studen" just one letter off from student. That's essentially what Arlecchino's kids are to her. Also the Fatui themselves indoctrinate. Pierro enlisted Signora through indoctrination. Best to get 'em young lol Now what is this operation and what are the connotations? Well as it involves Regrator or Pantalone I already had him pegged for a major operation. Now would that be it? I don't know. I highly doubt the Tsaritsa would condone a plan like this considering her as yet unrevealed contract with Morax. However, the Fatui aren't necessarily loyal to her. We already know for sure that Arlecchino isn't. Same goes for Scaramouche. Also with Snezhnaya's own chapter waiting in the wings it would be a good way to raise tensions and send the region into the downward spiral that would work thematically with the Russian Revolution that it's inspired by. The next thing about this is that Pulcinella is involved and it's already shown that Arlecchino works under him despite being Fourth. In my old Fontaine predictions, that was a driving force for what I came up with. Back then Arlecchino was Tenth and Pulcinella was Fifth so I proposed that despite her promotion to Fourth that it was just for show to ingratiate her to him. That said the story showed that she is already antagonistic towards him and has shown herself to be far more intuitive to be manipulated by him. Back in Sumeru, Arlecchino had a few House members stationed to help Dottore's Aranara scheme that didn't end up panning out. He didn't care about them at all of course but that doesn't discount Arlecchino of having directly supported his operation. And we know they weren't directly under Dottore because the only one that was was Oleg and he was trying to claim all the glory for himself, even going so far as to insult his fellow House member Trofin. Speaking of which there's a really frightening implication this quest brought up isn't there? They still mentioned that Arlecchino and Dottore definitely worked together on another project. Who helped Arlecchino get her flames into a potion? That means there's not a chance in hell Dottore didn't hoard bottles of the stuff himself. I think it's a sure bet he's got those "searing pain" memory wipe potions and he'll definitely use them in the future. I wouldn't be surprised if some horribly maimed person shows up in the future and can't remember what happened to them and as we investigate it becomes clear who was responsible. Also there might be a far future event/quest where Dottore tries to use the potion on the Traveler and that'll expand on their Descender attributes as their memories can't be wiped away even with crazy Abyss-powered Archon Residue human experiment by-products. (I'll explain later.) Three possible stories to spawn from this quest. That's the quality of miHoYo storytelling I'm more used to. Now of course we do know she isn't Fontainian but it's a stretch to state that she's suddenly Khaenri'ahn. The only reason and one which isn't even cited is that Arlecchino is afflicted with something that makes her dream of a crimson moon. As we knew from as far back as Dainsleif's reveal teaser from the end of the CBT era, Khaenri'ah was related to a crimson moon and a black sun where the moon would take revenge on the sun. (Black Sun was localized as Eclipse Dynasty but the new information revealed that to be another poor translation. New references keep referring to a black colored sun and not an eclipsed one.) Anyway it wasn't quite clear back then but thanks to the release of Perinheri we know the reason for the specific wording in the Dainsleif teaser. Essentially the Black Sun Dynasty usurped the Crimson Moon Dynasty so supposedly it will take its revenge one day. Now here's the part where Arlecchino doesn't have to be Khaenri'ahn just to have this curse. A "crimson moon" is the moon that was hanging over Khaenri'ah during the Cataclysm. This was when Rhinedottir created an army of Abyssal creatures on the order of the Sinner possibly in an attempt at freeing it. (It was also in service of the nigredo step of her attempt at the Magnum Opus.) All those signs point to the Abyss not Khaenri'ah. Khaenri'ah was just the dupe. So what is this moon really? Well according to Perinheri and one of Arlecchino's Voice-Overs it's actually some kind of creature but it could also be one of the moon sisters. Either way it's related again to the Abyss. It's the "Abyssal Moon" if you'd like. Long story short, Arlecchino's Balemoon Bloodfire is likely just some other manifestation of the Abyss and has nothing to do with Khaenri'ah. The other much more obvious sign that she's not Khaenri'ahn is her eyes. Not sure how the wiki missed that but she's got unique X-eyes not the primogem eyes of every single Khaenri'ahn, pure blood or not. No primogem eyes, no Khaenri'ah. (But in terms of the Dainsleif prophecy X-eyes works well. Look at Arlecchino's drops. There's one where a red X is placed over a gray primogem shape. "The eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon." This drop is also called "Denial and Judgment." There are several implications to draw from that.) Side Note: Yes I realize Arlecchino has a Voice-Over where Pierro literally tells her she's of the "Crimson Moon bloodline" that he had thought should be extinct. Guess what guys? Bringing out my old friend, localization issues. Now this one I can't fault the localization team for. The term used was 血脉 and on the surface it does translate well to bloodlines. But there's a culture issue. When we think of bloodlines we just think of old timey genetics, that the blood flowing through your veins is that of your father's. There is some of that in China too but not in the same way. (except in say Hong Kong) Instead when 血脉 is used in a deeper sense, like say poetry or classical literature I'd say a better translation would be legacy. There are phrases like "our community is our bloodline" or "bloodlines flow like rivers, carrying with it all our memories and dreams." This isn't the first time we've seen a fire that would burn its user if they lost control of it and fire taking the place of blood. Signora also had this problem. This exact problem. And as I had pointed out a long time ago, so did Collei. Isn't it also curious that the Character Quest brought up the Doctor and making deals with the orphanage? What was Collei again? Orphan. Why did she have that black fire ability again? Dottore experiments. So in the story who helped Arlecchino bottle up her Bloodfire? Dottore. They are orphans that were tossed out by their families and experimented on by Dottore while he was still on his Delusion Project kick. Collei was probably his last "class" of experiments because her case got the attention of both Mondstadt and Sumeru and the Fatui couldn't be having that. The manhua itself showed the diplomatic repercussions Snezhnaya paid for Collei. But before that was Arlecchino and before her was Signora. (we can see Signora's already an adult by the time Perrie killed Crucabena) But wait, didn't Collei get her fire powers from the Archon Residue in Crystal Marrow? Well I have this theory right? Now if we take that theory and add it to this theory then the Abyss connection becomes clear. All you'd need is to use Archon Residue specific to those fallen during the Nibelung conflict and they'd be afflicted with the Abyss too. Side Note 1: There's a little interesting note too between Arlecchino and Signora. I brought this up when I was theorizing about Arlecchino back in her first mention in The Very Special Fortune Slip World Quest. Signora is not a normal character in the commedia dell'arte. She was developed by combining the physicality of Capitano with the sex appeal of Columbina. (This is why I didn't predict that we'd get a Columbina Harbinger too and instead thought the final one would be Brighella. Scara is also a form of Capitano.) Anyway Arlecchino is supposed to be smitten with Columbina and who was the only Harbinger to feel bad for Signora's death? That's now expanded to be due to Arlecchino's sympathy for orphans but even so their many parallels are interesting. (this is furthered along by Arlecchino's Voice-Over that Signora was one of the first Harbingers she got to know, the other of course being Pierro and though superficial Signora appealed to the orphans at the House and Arlecchino sympathized with her) Side Note 2: Another interesting connection between those two is that while they both have Delusions their true powers come from their experimental ones. So on the one hand I am really impressed. I honestly thought she was a Fontainian and the way they portrayed her desire to resolve the prophecy made it feel genuine (which it still technically was just not in relation to her herself) so I appreciate that level of subterfuge. Thinking this whole time that she was a Fontainian only for her to pull the wool over our eyes now after the whole story already ended would have been perfect for her character. But just like so many other cool things miHoYo had with the Fontaine story they didn't have all their bases covered. It was great when we found out Fontaine had zero human people and everybody was actually an Oceanid. But then you run into the problem of how did people have normal human illnesses then? And how did they keep having those illnesses even after Neuvillette changed them from Oceanids to real humans. In the same way Arlecchino's lie wouldn't have worked in the context of Fontaine's story. Neuvillette's been in Fontaine for four hundred years. That's far longer than Arlecchino's been alive. If she wasn't a Fontainian and claimed to be one why wouldn't a dragon realize this? Yes we had the dialogue from him that he can't read Arlecchino's emotions. (also weird since he claimed to be attuned to emotions for some reason when even by Act II he didn't know Callas and Vacher's motivations which were brought on by the most primal of human emotions lol) But regardless of whether or not he can read her emotions there is not a single chance that he wouldn't have detected that she's not an Oceanid. He's told us he has full control over water including that of the Primordial Sea so when he was able to turn all Fontainians into real humans in one fell swoop he would have noticed she wasn't among those he changed. (That is also why I took serious issue with making Neuvillette a full dragon with full control over even the Primordial Sea. Either he purposely made the Fontainians with defects, kept their illnesses from back when they were elementals, purposely didn't inform us that Arlecchino was lying or he's just an incompetent dragon.) Great idea. Not the best delivery. I get what they were going for. They wanted a way to show that Arlecchino wasn't murdering her children. But holy coincidences Batman how many things had to play out just right for that to happen? I mean we had to have seen the Horrer mugshot meaning Lyney just had to happen to give us the stack of people with him in it. Otherwise if anybody else had that stack they would have just flipped through it without paying attention. Also in regards to paying attention, Paimon needed to take interest in that scar. Otherwise if she for example took interest in Lapouyade's name then say bye bye to that reveal. Out of all the times we've gone to the Palais Mermonia why today of all days at this time did we encounter Horrer? And also why was he a klutz? Also why was he a klutz and just happened to run straight into us out of all the other people there at the time? So many stars had to align just right to give us this clue about Arlecchino's endgame. So like I tend to do, there was a way for miHoYo to have this reveal without needing this much Deus Ex Machina. Just have an insider working behind the scenes. We see by the end that Arlecchino was fine revealing her flame memory wipe potion thing. Given how there was an Execution List it should mean somebody was present for it. You could even just make Freminet that insider given what we see of him in the late stages of the quest. Let's say Arlecchino was trying to convey these secrets to both the Traveler and to Lyney, Lyney as more training to set him up as her replacement. Freminet would be more than willing to help with that so everything we see of him could still play out exactly the same (except that Lyney would eat his smug words about Freminet being bad at lying) and then it would be revealed that Freminet had coaxed Horrer to deliver papers around the Palais Mermonia at the right time and staged his and the Traveler's collision course. Boom, not only do you get the same reveal but Freminet gets some juicy character development on top! Also, "O the Horrer!" In this quest we're told that Arlecchino views losing memories as being no different than death. That's great. That really fits with how Genshin works as I've brought up many times already. But in the context of this story that's definitely not how it's played out. While Arlecchino states that she values memories as the same as a life what she actually uses it for is to save the lives of her disobedient children. We're shown this as her mercy and that she's allowing these kids to go off on their merry way and lead new lives. So problem. Yes it's nice that she's doing this. I'm sure all of us have seen this trope in fiction before. "I just cut off your ponytail. That ponytail represents the version of you that killed my family. Now that person is dead" that kind of nonsense to prop up a protagonist. But in the context of Genshin what she said is much more true. Memories include our experiences and under Gnosticism those experiences allow for the possibility of attaining gnosis one day. Removing those memories is actually like damning a person to death because it removes their progress. I brought up the hylic classification of people under Gnosticism before. These people are wholly physical and can't conceptualize anything meaning they can't ever attain gnosis. In Genshin those are the hilichurls, cursed to be "hill people" and unable to even return to the natural cycle of rebirth. Think about it from the opposite end too. Allogenes in this game represent the pneumatic people or those closest to attaining gnosis. In Inazuma we saw that once a Vision is stripped from these allogenes they lose their memories of what gave them that Vision, what gave them their chance at gnosis. So yeah, what this is is the same as my first nitpick with this story. It sounds nice on paper in any typical fiction but in Genshin it really is a horrible thing. But on the flip side what this does is ruin Arlecchino's intimidating stature. The thing is she's a pushover. If you read her Character Stories there's one about how some of her kids grow up and want normal adolescent things like jewelry. Sometimes they screw up and get caught because their jewelry gets in the way. The story goes on to make it sound like Arlecchino would punish the kid but it turns out she just went out of her way to further train them to be careful of their jewelry on future missions. When you have stuff like that and what we saw in the story, it makes you wonder why anybody in the House would be afraid of her. Sure the youngest who had never seen her use her memory wipe potion thing might be under the impression she kills them but then what about the jewelry thing? It just wouldn't make sense for anybody to fear her to the extent we saw unless she had done something severe but then that might tarnish this protagonist image of her that miHoYo's fostered with the Archon Quest and this Character Quest not to mention her backstory anime. In this case I don't even think I could come up with a way for them to have their cake and eat it too. If she's meant to be fearsome then she needs to do fearsome things and if she doesn't then it doesn't make sense her kids would fear her as if she does. Side Note: I suppose I should bring up my version then. Well she's much more antagonistic. While she lied when she said she only used Lyney and the children as tools she'd still be harsh on them and punish accordingly which produces their fear. Again my version of her is flawed; she honestly wants what's best for her kids but her methods are unusually cruel. This is based on her own experiences. It's like Batman (I keep going back to that example) and Robin. While any psychologist could tell you training up a ten year old to fight crime is a bad idea, Bruce Wayne saved his sanity by doing it so he believes it's a good way to nurture traumatized kids like himself. And we have Jason Todd when it comes to him. I mean I referenced it already. Let's see what details Pierro was talking about with Perinheri. The version of the name he went with is a reference to a real world story which is pretty much the whole thing of Vol.2. And remember how I've been talking about facts vs fiction? At the end of Vol.2 we find out that a writer came up with this ending and not the archaeologist on hand. So yes, the Angelica stuff is probably the part Pierro said was specious. The details come in Vol.1 where we get our titular characters. Hleobrant is comprised of Proto-Germanic words hleo and brant which mean shelter and towering so Hleobrant could symbolize a defensive tower. So while accurate maybe Pierro was trying to say they were allegorically accurate. Remember why the gods got angry at humanity? They were questioning them and had started building a tower to reach the heavens just to see if it was there. That is one to one with our real world's Tower of Babel. This was when our real world's "unified human civilization" was broken apart into scattered nations. Hleobrant could be an allegory for the degenerate humans who defied the gods. And his rival would then be on the side of the gods, Perinheri. (not necessarily the Celestia gods or even the Archons but possibly the higher power of Ananke, the Imaginary Tree) I couldn't find the meaning of Perinheri though. I tried looking into the original Chinese and as far as I can tell the name might reference a Ming Dynasty official named 裴纶. Perinheri uses 裴伦 for the Perin part and 伦 is a homophone for 纶. 裴纶 was dissatisfied with the government and we might be able to relate that to the "world order" of the time. As such he wrote the "Seven Principles." That one caught my eye. Then the heri part of the name is 埃里 which on its own would actually be the Chinese transcription of the Hebrew name Eli which means ascended. Just like the issue of Vol.2 possibly being fictional, the names being inaccurate was also noted at the end of Vol.2. It could be that Perinheri is an intentional mistranslation in English to throw us off. (but let me know if you guys found anything about what Perinheri could be instead) If this is the real reference then for Khaenri'ah to be dissatisfied with the current world order it makes sense for "Perinheri" to just be a placeholder name for a Descender, an "ascended" child to defy Celestia. (I think there are already theories suggesting Perinheri is a stand-in for our sibling, a "false Descender.") The revelation about a Crimson Moon Dynasty preceding the known Black Sun Dynasty could also imply something new about the Cataclysm. We're told that the Rifthounds, Rhinedottir's Rifthounds that up until this point were said to be accidental creations by her, were actually around since the Crimson Moon Dynasty and then fell out of favor by the time of the Black Sun Dynasty which preferred technology, tech like the "Field Tillers" Dainsleif told us about. King Irmin was the last king of that dynasty which means that Rhinedottir's group might have been a cult loyal to the previous regime. Rhinedottir herself could be even older than we were told previously or she could just be an avid follower of the old order. Thus the "crimson moon" that's supposed to swallow the black sun could just be the Abyss Order.
