Background:
30F. I'm already estranged from my father (NC) due to emotional, verbal, and religious abuse, for about 10 years now.
I've been living with my mom for about 2.5years due to financial complications from Covid.
I was super depressed when i got here, having endured the most toxic and traumatizing romantic relationship of my life, multiple job failures due to undiagnosed adhd and cptsd, and have just generally been barely getting by, even after my official diagnosis and medication.
Something I've realized increasingly is how not only is she a bad role model for self regulation, but she may still be activating my trauma. Despite some improvement in our adult relationship and even an unprompted genuine apology a few years ago, she's still emotionally immature and dismissive and invalidating at times. I've suggested that we go to family therapy on multiple occasions, and she's straight up refused to go. She's also had some weird controlling incidents, especially when I was going grocery shopping with her and she refused to pay for my snacks (??) And when I interrogated her about this, after I got a job when I first moved here, she said something like how she didn't like I was buying Nutella even though the grocery bill has gone down and I was eating more at home?? I was like, do you hear yourself right now.
She has a habit of getting strident when she feels defensive and I really don't like that because she used to yell at me a lot when I was a kid.
And for the longest time, she has just refused to agree to a division of chores regarding the kitchen. I've noticed I will be the one to empty and fill the dishwasher More often than not, as well as generally try to keep the counters clear. When I asked her if she could agree to either empty or to load the dishwasher, she's said no on several occasions, and the last time I asked if you months ago, she said she was "too busy to think about the dishwasher," which I called bullshit on immediately, and told her it was communal effort, to what she said, "it's not a communal effort for me." This, from the woman who once said she just wanted to treat me as another adult that lives in this house. She also tried to justify it by saying I use more dishes than her. At first I was a little petty about it by only washing dishes I used, but that grew tiresome very fast, so I just stopped cleaning the kitchen completely and let her stew in her mess. Now she'll clean up maybe every 3 or 4 days as opposed to when I was doing the dishes at least every other day.
But the big offense was last year. I got approved to get sterilization surgery, and I was really excited, and I was telling all my friends and they were happy for me, but then I told her and she said she didn't support it. So then I was like, why? And she said she thought that I had other things to focus on like employment and whatnot and this seemed like a distraction from a larger issue, fueled by political happenings at the time (post roe). To which I was like, no?? I've planned on getting this done since at least my mid twenties, the only thing that's making me get it done now is that I know I can get it done for free due to the affordable Care act, and yeah, abortion being severely limited in most states kind of presses the gas on it. And I'm never going to be this young again, so recovery will be fairly easy. Which it was. Like, it was so insulting that she generally didn't trust me to make such a large decision for my own life. Which is just how I've noticed she's still kind of treats me like I'm incapable of making decisions as an adult.
So then I had asked her, since we live together and the hospital I was getting the operation at was 15 minutes away, is she would be willing and able to drive me to my surgery. I asked on more than one occasion, and she had irritably replied, if I say I'll do something I'll do it! Luckily, I didn't believe her and asked my cousin if she would as a backup, which I ended up needing because my mom forgot to put the appointment on her calendar, and was excitedly talking about possibly going abroad. And when I asked her about it, she asked if I could ask her sister to drive me. Which first of all, no, seeing as how you reacted all weird to this, I'm certainly not going to ask someone else of your age group in the family, and the reason I had asked her was because we live together! And it was a minimal time investment.
And when I communicated to her that I wasn't mad that she wasn't going to take me to my surgery, so much as it was I was mad that she'd broken a promise that she doubled down on when I asked if she was sure, she said that she's been working and obligated since she was 14, and gave some long-winded excuse about that. And I was like okay, legit, except right up to the part where I asked you on more than one occasion if you were able and willing and you still said yes. I gave you an opportunity to say no on more than one occasion, but you put yourself in that position. And it's only natural that I'm angry that you went back on something you said you would do, something that is very important to me and to my future.
Soon after this conversation, I was flying out of town, and she'd offered to drive me to or from the airport, I can't remember. And I was just internally like, "oh, so when it's something that you approve of, suddenly you can offer to do things and I guess remember them."
The weekend before the surgery, it was on a Tuesday, she was out of town at a conference, and managed to catch some kind of illness. Then when she drove back, she asked if I wanted her to come to the hospital, and I said she could if she wanted to, but I really should have said no because I was still mad at her and I didn't know why she wanted to be there anyway.
And most importantly, she was sick! She wore a mask to the hospital, but in hindsight, that was really irresponsible to come into a hospital where people are sick, specifically into a wing with people recovering from surgery or getting surgery. Later, we found out it was COVID, which made me incredibly angry because now I had to recover at home with somebody who had fucking COVID.
And then, for some reason she interrogates my anesthetician about a completely unrelated medication I was taking to manage an unrelated condition at the time, which I didn't comment on at the time because I'd been fasting for 12 hours and was conserving energy for surgery, but I did get her about that after the fact. Had to tell her not to ask my doctors about my medications.
And despite me telling her that certain things she does or doesn't do don't help my ADHD, she either doesn't care or can't internalize this to adapt. And I'm not even talking about moving heaven and earth, I'm just talking about helping keep a clean kitchen and to not bang your utensils loudly in the kitchen when I'm clearly trying to watch something in the living room, which it's adjacent to.
I also felt behooved at one point to draft an entire document about my mental health and things I had done in spite of it because she always makes me feel like I never doing enough or never doing anything right. At the beginning of last year, I had called her after a doctor's appointment to vent about a new condition I might have, and at one point I resignedly sighed, "doing my best over here."
And then she replied, "are you though?"
I said "fuck it" and hung up.
So obviously she's not the most empathetic person.
So yeah. She's just constantly dismissive of my wants and needs, even unintentionally. And she still doesn't see the need for an outside mediator for our communication, because I sure as fuck still don't understand why she does things sometimes.
And I've reached a point with my personal growth and development that I realized that I'm still dealing with complex PTSD and it heavily affects my ability to move forward in life. I get so anxious when even thinking about jobs let alone filling out applications because it just triggers a deep emotional response. And while I realize I need to take responsibility to get myself the proper help in healing I need, I also have realized that continuing to interact with my mom in a certain way only perpetuates those feelings that lead to this immobilization. Because interacting with her is so triggering, it just pushes me further into adaptive coping mechanisms which ultimately keep me stuck. It also doesn't help that she eventually stopped supporting me financially when it came to my therapy appointments, and throughout my therapy she would repeatedly ask if it was helping because it was expensive. Which, thankfully, it has, because during that whole sterilization debacle, I was still able to validate my own feelings on the matter, which I wouldn't have been able to do before starting therapy with that particular therapist.
So what I've resorted to is largely ignoring her and not interacting unless I really have to, in order to avoid being sucked into a useless conversation or triggered when she's ultimately dismissive or unhelpful.
And idk if all this is just temporary or it's worth going LC or VLC once i do move out. Just wanting to get y'alls thoughts on the situation.

I think I've been "mis-led" by the tier-lists that are circulating online and have made poor investments early on. Hopefully this short guide helps you make smart choices when it comes to hero choices.
I'm not f2p. I've spent a fair bit, and while I am not anywhere close to the biggest whales, I am making fast enough progress to stay near the top of the leaderboards for most contents. These are my 2 cents, and I believe they are fairly accurate information for the current patch.
You largely need three groups of teams to push contents. I recommend investing into these teams based on your budget.
Numbers in parentheses refer to the EX weapon level (1star:0, 2star:5, 3star:10, 4star:15...)
1) Odie-centric Mauler Team (this is the most budget friendly team for pushing everything)

• Brutus (2 star+, I recommend supreme+ for him)
• Antandra (2 star+, I also recommend supreme+ for her. Higher her rarity is, more AFK stages you can push at lower resonance level)
• Odie (I recommend at least 3, if not 4 or even 5 stars)
• Smokey (3 star+)
• Rowan (2 star+)
• Koko (2 star+)

Recommended Artifact: Enlighten on Odie or Starshard. Experiment.
There are several variations you can make with these heroes:
Brutus + Antandra as tank, or Antandra alone, or Brutus alone. If you have Scarlita, you can add Scarlita in here as well but then it's no longer budget-friendly. Add Koko when it makes sense.
I know there are six heroes here. Every stage is different and you are going to use 5 of these six heroes based on what you are facing. This will be the team you will see most often in the "replay" section as you do not need a huge investment to get this to work. I call this "budget" friendly because some of these heroes are also in your DR team.
2) Eironn-centric Nuke Team (PVE version for Abyss + AFK stages. Costly, but very effective)

• Thoran (3 star+)
• Granny (3 star+)
• Rowan (3 star+) : Rowan comes in when the tank of choice is Granny.
• Damian (2 star+) : Damian comes in when the tank of choice is Thoran
• Arden (3 star+) : Main DPS with heavy CC
• Carolina (3 star+) : Optional DPS
• Scarlita (3 stars+) : Optional DPS
• Reiner

Recommended Artifacts:

• Confining when you need to confine the backline from dealing damage to you
• Starshard if you need to burst them down. Works well with Rowan version

Example teams:
Thoran - Eironn - Arden - Damian - Carolina (maximum damage) Thoran - Eironn - Arden - Reiner - Carolina (use Reiner and Eironn to switch someone that does too much damage. The swapped hero will be then snared by Arden and killed by Carolina). Thoran - Eironn - Arden - Damian - Scarlita (Scarlita adds more defense and she can boink people off. Good against things like Igor) Granny - Rowan - Eironn - Arden - Scarlita (If you need Granny's control effects to beat the stage, this is what you use, but without Scarlita + Rowan, she will not survive, so we use this specific team comp to keep her and Eironn alive till Granny+Arden's ultimates fire off).
3) Dream Realm + Primal Lords Characters
Must have (relevant almost everywhere or is mandatory for one of the dream boss):

• Reiner (m+ enough unless you are competing for top20 district)
• Odie (best magic dmg hero)
• Marilee (best phys/true dmg hero)
• Smokey
• Koko (best for keeping your team alive. Actually need her to be high rarity or she won't survive many contents during the early season when she's actually needed)
• Kruger (phys def reduction: can be low rarity but keeping him alive is very challenging at low rarity)
• Thoran (King Croaker - must-have)

Not a must-have but very important

• Temesia (has damage reduction + life regen for self)
• Vala (does a lot of damage to things that are below 50% hp, basically a go-to dmg dealer for Primal Lord if you wanna be high up in ranking)
• Korin (gives shields + true dmg)

Optional (take a look at Dream Realm meta guide in the official discord's dream realm tab. It's pinned there).

• Alsa (3 star+)
• Cassadee (3 star+)
• Shakir (3 star+)

For folks with a limited budget, these are the only heroes I would consider investing into. Prioritize on what's important for you. If it's dream realm, focus on Koko + Kruger. If it's pushing AFK stages and stories, get Koko + Antandra instead.

Why are there so many people out there defending Justin Fields as "NOT THAT BAD?" At this stage of his career, people should label him a "BUST." Before we start, I acknowledge, he is a freak athlete (strong arm and legs) and the Bears are an abomination of an organization. On top of that, Fields is a "running QB." In 2022, he rushed for 1,143 yards which is incredible. However, this is a passing league and you need to be able to pass at the QB position to pick up chunks of yards and convert on 3rd and 4th down.
I've never heard so many excuses for a player. "The Bears organization is bad." "The o-line is bad." "He has no weapons." "The scheme is bad." "The coaching is bad."
1) QB's are judged by their team's ability to win games. Yes, he's with the Bears who have been a train wreck but he is 10-28 as a starter. When Fields was hurt, Bagent came in and was 2-2.
2) In his 3rd season, he had a 46.1 QBR. That's ranked 24th in the league. He passed for 2,562 yards in 13 games ranking him 22nd in the league. Yes, we could add the rushing production. These rushing stats did not preclude the other top rushing QB's (Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes) from eclipsing 3,500 passing yards.
3) Justin Fields was sacked 12.9% of his drop backs (worst in the league). You blame the Oline? Bagent was sacked 3.4% (2nd best in the league).
4) He has thrown for more than 300 yards once in 3 years!!! Yes, he's a running QB but that's just awful.
5) As mentioned, he incredibly rushed for 1,143 yards in 2022 which offsets his poor passing numbers in 2022. But in 2023, he rushed for 657 yards finishing 2nd amongst QB's in rushing. Yes, the Bears changed the scheme to prevent him from rushing. That's because they know he needs to develop as a passer to have success in the NFL.
6) The passing yards and rushing yards that Fields has should be discounted even further. If you've watched Bears games, you'd know that they were losing pretty bad and Fields racked up a lot of his rushing and passing production in the 2nd half when the defense was in prevent mode. To give you an insight on how much garbage time stats Fields racked up, the Bears are 10-28 with Fields as a starter.
7) The evidence indicates that Fields' value is extremely low. He was traded for a 6th round pick (conditional to 4th if he starts x amount of games). He is backing up Russell Wilson who is on the decline. The Steelers declined his 5th year option as they clearly know he's not worth the money. Lastly, there are rumblings that the Steelers a considering using him to return kicks. LOL
8) Qualitatively, he holds the ball too long. He has poor vision, anticipation, and timing. To be an average QB in the NFL, you need to be able to be at least an average passer so you can convert key 3rd and 4th downs. One of the key reasons the Bears cannot win is because he cannot convert on 3rd and 4th down.
9) While his weapons aren't the greatest, he had DJ Moore, a very serviceable WR. He also had Cole Kmet, a highly productive TE.
10) I'm not even going to go into how atrocious Fields' passing has been in 2021 and 2022. But it was worse than 2023. Yes, he showed minor improvement in 2023 but it is nowhere near enough to be considered an average QB. I'll just remind you that Fields once finished with 1 passing yard (singular) in a game in 2021.
11) Fields had two different coaching staffs. Nagy / Lazor in 2021 and Eberflus / Getsy in 2022 and 2023. None of these coaches could "fix" Fields. Is it coincidence that Getsy still has a job with the Raiders yet Fields is no longer starting?
In conclusion, we've given Fields 3 years to prove himself. Although he is has great rushing stats, his passing stats are atrocious. It is clear that his production doesn't equate to wins because he is 10-28 as a starter which is the bottom line.

In another experiment, I took a screenshot of the grid, gave it to GTP-4, and then it was able to come up with reasonable directions. So it seems like GPT-4 can reason spatially when given visual input, and express its solution verbally, but it struggles to solve a spatial problem given only verbal input. GPT-4o on the other hand had no problem solving a spatial problem given only verbal input.
This seems like a nice simple example of the advantages of processing verbal and visual information in the same network.

Since the first game, we've used destroyers. When you look at the ship management screen in the second game, destroyer stands out in a way that suggests there could be other classes of ship. Now obviously there is little need for a bigger ship since all divers technically launch from their own destroyer anyway, but here is an idea for you.
Destroyer should remain as the default ship and stick to exactly what it does right now. It can serve as the baseline.
Support / supply ship: should get a bonus when providing support objects from the green list of strategems, likely in the cooldown department or perhaps allowing in some cases for an extra MG turret in the case of some of the weaker turret defense. It should also be restricted in what red strategems it'd allowed to take, denying it access to the heaviest of options. Perhaps it could also gain access to unique green strategems.
Troop transport: like above but with a focus on blue strategems. Tie in vehicle deployment bonuses and resupply pod bonus (limited to 1 ship bonus per team regardless of how many ships of this type are present), and drop down penalty on red options. Give them unique access to extra vehicle options after the base lineup is integrated.
Fire support ship: gains bonus to red options, taking hits to green. Give them an extra use of orbital laser in addition to red wide cooldown reduction of about 15%. Give them access to specialty red strategems.
And if you ever branch past 4 player play, you can use battleships, carriers, and dreadnauts

We can debate all we want about the 4th pick and if RisacheCastle/Dillingham is the best fit, but what about Salaun with the 8th pick? The kid has a decent 3pt shot (38%) while being 6’10”, he’s always hustling, he’s good in transition, plays good defense, and is only 18! His weaknesses are that he’s not good at creating his own shot and his handles are too mechanical and he dribbles the ball too high, but these issues could be fixed with proper development.
I’m thinking that with 4 picks in this draft, we can’t accommodate every player drafted and that might include whoever we draft with the 8th pick, so we might as well swing for fences on a kid with what seems to me has the highest upside in this draft. Why? Simple,
BECAUSE IT BUFFS EXPENSIVE DECKS.
I'd like to start with the fact that I did think Dagger Duchess was OP and needed a nerf.
Expensive decks have always been ridiculed and talked down upon. The reason is because "It's difficult to react to opponent' cards". As time goes, this narrative became more severe. Back then, 4.3 Elixir cost was when a deck was considered expensive, and 4.6 was when people encouraged the usage of Elixir pump. Now, I have read someone calling a 3.8 Elixir deck "too expensive" and "bring a pump". Insanity.
I'm here to tell you that 4-5 Elixir decks are fine. Even some 5+ Elixir decks can be good. They are not too expensive, and you don't need a pump.
It's just that the playstyle is different. The key points of playing an expensive deck are VALUE and CONTROL. Know when to drop or not drop a response and get as much Elixir value as possible, either from punishing misplays or from converting tower damage into Elixir value.
All these years, expensive decks are countered by bridge-spamming troops on the other lane. Just a side note, I hate this playstyle of "I'll destroy your tower before you destroy mine".
Now, because of Dagger Duchess, cycle decks can't do this so easily. They can no longer run away from their problem, they must face it head-on. Now, these cheap decks must increase their defenses or they will lose.
Expensive decks now get a powerful defense against counter-bridge-spammers and cycle decks. This can help expensive decks rise to the same level as cheap cycle decks. This increases the variety of decks that can be played, because I don't know about you, but I am sick of seeing cycle decks over cycle decks over cycle decks.

The loan agreement was signed today between the Finance Ministry and EBRD during the latter's annual business forum held in Yerevan.

This important infrastructure project, part of Armenia's international North-South, is aligned with EU flagship initiatives for improved land transport connectivity and building resilience in the southern regions of Armenia.

Russia's foreign ministry responds to speculations and conspiracy theories that began after Pashinyan's recent meeting with Putin

Backstory: Former Ambassador-At-Large Edmon Marukyan has strained relations with several pro-West figures. The pro-West figures had accused Marukyan of serving the interests of Russia by providing pro-Russian advisory to Pashinyan. In turn, Marukyan accused the pro-West figures of unprofessionalism.
Pashinyan recently asked Putin to withdraw Russian agents from the Zvartnots airport and the AM-AZ border. After that meeting, Russia released a statement that included a phrase stating that Pashinyan asked Putin to preserve the troops along the border with Turkey and Iran.
Edmon Marukyan released a video in which he was simply "asking questions" to the pro-West figures. He wanted them to explain what exactly happened that Pashinyan "asked" Russia to preserve its forces on the borders with Turkey and Iran. Marukyan's video could be perceived as an attempt to incite a conflict between Pashinyan and pro-West figures by presenting Pashinyan as a "pro-Russian" figure who was supposedly given an opportunity to withdraw ALL Russian forces but "asked" them to stay.
Russia's foreign ministry was asked to comment on Wednesday.
REPORTER: The official statement reads that the Armenian side asked for the Russian guards to remain on the TR and IR borders. At the same time, we know that the Russian guards on TR and IR borders were installed under a different - bilateral state agreement. Does this mean that during the Pashinyan-Putin meeting, Putin offered to withdraw forces from TR and IR borders as well and that Pashinyan asked them to stay?
RUSSIAN MFA: No, Russia did not offer a complete withdrawal of all border guards from Armenia. Some other outlets claimed that the withdrawal is a result of an AM-AZ agreement not to deploy 3rd party forces on the border; these are all false. In reality, the Armenian side wanted to discuss the withdrawal of Russian border guards from several regions near the AM-AZ border as a result of the completion of their duties.

So I'm using Godot because I'm programming on a laptop but I'm making a game similar to a tower defense I love playing and the reason why I love playing it will be at the end. but what right now I'm confused and struggling with is a algorithm similar to random dice pvp 111% but I was thinking about maybe situational randomness like you spent for an upgrade for the basic tower in a match then with that and also how much currency you have left and then how many towers and then how far the enemies had progressed it will randomize from a your chance to get one of 5 towers. and I'm wondering if this is a good idea and or a bad thing to try when you're new to making games. then it would be towers placements when you use the ui when I implement it to activate the roll method to see what you get out of 1 of 5 towers placed on your board in a random location.
I will say that I'm trying to get some of the basic stuff setup so it can run, and then keep adding more and the things I've mentioned aren't all of it.

Scenario:

• Draft Reed Sheppard at 5
• Package Ivey and trade into the lottery to take Knecht

I've been thinking about Sheppard's fit at 5, since it seems all the wings there all big projects. People seem to be saying Sheppard doesn't have much upside, but I disagree. What freshman PG drafted in the top 10 did not expand his skillset after drafted? His level of skill at this age should not be overlooked. He has a lot to work on in the league, so I don't know why people are acting like he doesn't have much to improve. If he improves his finishing and playmaking, I can see him turning into a Chauncey Billups 2.0. We already see he has a high BBIQ, so if he can develop his handle and effectively penetrate, I think he can be great.
The Knecht part is mostly to account for the overlap with Ivey/Sheppard and to bolster shot making. He also is athletic, so I think he does have defensive upside. He only played 1 season against high level competition, which I think plays into his defensive liabilities. Defense is something you get better at when facing better competition, so I'm confident he'll improve in this area even if he doesn't become a great defender. Also, he was the focal point of his offense with lots of movement, and he'll be asked to play a lesser role on offense in the NBA, allowing him to exert himself more on defense.
Then, we are left with:
