2024.03.10 23:13 BishopBoudreaux Confusion on SteamVR's "render resolution"

I saw some other threads on this but still a bit confused. If my Vive Pro 2 has a max resolution of 2448 x 2444 per eye, is there any point in setting SteamVR's render resolution anything higher than that? I'm trying to tweak some performance out of Skyrim VR and I noticed huge improvements if I lowered it from 100% (4856 x 4856 per eye) to 50% (3432x3432 per eye)....but I'm unsure if my logic is sound.
[EDIT: thanks for all the replies, this really helped get my head on straight with this stuff. I’m doing the following now and it’s working well:
1) With a 4090 I’ll shoot for 3600 x3600 120hz min in most cases just to get the most out of what the Vive is capable of without wasting GPU cycles (Skyrim VR is a hungry beast)
2) Max out the display settings in the Vive Console to Extreme 4896x2448 120hz (since ultimate res is a mix of this and what Steam does afterwards)
3) SteamVR > Settings > Video: set to whatever percentage that gets you to your target base resolution (for me it’s 70% to get to 3616x3616)
4) SteamVR > Settings > video > Per application settings: Lower as needed if your individual game can’t hack it. Raise it if you have GPU cycles to spare and think it’s needed (like for tiny font example below…but I’m not convinced going above around the 3600x3600 target made a perceptible difference for me visually, at least in Skyrim).
5) Bonus: I installed fpsVR from Steam store which came in super handy for dialing all this in. Gives way more info than the default Steam overlay.
Thanks again! ]

Critic Reviews

Attack of the Fanboy - Davi Braid - 4 / 5
Despite a few things that might feel off, Robocop: Rogue City is likely the closest we'll ever get to the original movie. Like Robocop, the game has a few issues but ultimately gets the job done.
But Why Tho? - Jason Flatt - 7.5 / 10
RoboCop Rogue City’s level of emersion is impressive, and the mechanics like crouching that it removes from the modern FPS formula don’t feel missed in the one-man-army, high-octane firefights that make up the core of the game.
CGMagazine - Andrew Farrell - 9 / 10
When looked at as a whole, RoboCop: Rogue City is a shockingly complete package with terrific gameplay and level design that offers room for player agency. Its presentation belies its budget in spots (although the actual levels and pieces of geometry are solid), but this is some of the most fun I’ve had gaming this year. Fans of first-person shooters or lite-RPGs along the likes of Fallout will likely have a blast cleaning up the streets of Detroit.
Console Creatures - Bobby Pashalidis - Recommended
RoboCop: Rogue City is a delightful blend of nostalgia, action, and engaging storytelling. While it may have minor flaws, it's a must-play for franchise fans and gamers looking for a fun, action-packed experience.
Digital Spy - Joe Draper - 4 / 5
RoboCop: Rogue City is a blast to play for long-time fans of the franchise and goes above and beyond to respect its source material. It won't win any awards for being ground-breaking, but Peter Weller offering his voice to a story that's arguably the best use of the RoboCop name since the original film makes this a worthwhile treat for those who want to be transported back to their childhood.
Eurogamer - Rick Lane - 3 / 5
Teyon blends bloody linear shootouts with light open world action for an entertaining, if unadventurous, RoboCop experience.
Evilgamerz - Daan Nijboer - Dutch - 7 / 10
With RoboCop: Rogue City, does the developer know how to take the game to identical heights as the film series? Unfortunately not. It is clear that they are still on the upward trend. This is a first person shooter where you literally and figuratively go back in time. No understandable class structure, just shooting. It is of course possible to upgrade your gun and choose skills for RoboCop, but the essence is rough shooting and the game does that well. It is a shame that other elements are less well developed, such as the poor AI of the opponents. Major missed opportunities are also the detective work, which now only consists of scanning your environment, and the minimal consequences of your choices during the story.
GGRecon - Morgan Truder - 3 / 5
From the moment you fire up Robocop: Rogue City and see his cruiser’s bumper scrape up the ramp, it is clear who the game is for - if you’re a fan of the 1980s classic you’re in for a treat. Otherwise, the poor performance and uninspired gameplay make it hard to recommend the game to someone who isn’t already a fan of OCP's finest. One thing you can’t take away from Teyon is they have delivered a true-to-the-film Robocop experience, but whether you'd buy that for a dollar is up to you.
GameSpew - Richard Seagrave - 8 / 10
Fans of RoboCop are likely to love Rogue City, though it’s also likely to prove appealing to those who simply like shooting up bad guys with reckless abandon. Dealing out violent justice as RoboCop rarely struggles to put a smile on your face – even if, at times, it threatens to become a tad repetitive. Throw in some light investigation and some moments of humour, and you have a game that makes effective use of a much-loved IP.
Gamers Heroes - Blaine Smith - 85 / 100
RoboCop Rogue City pays homage to its source material like no other. A faithful recreation of a beloved character and world over 30 years in the making. At its core, it’s a fantastic over-the-top 80s action shooter but dig a little deeper and you’ll find a dark, dystopian tale of man and machine more relevant today than ever.
GamingTrend - David Burdette - 80 / 100
Just like RoboCop himself, Rogue City is only human, but it's still pretty great. With an intriguing narrative and stellar side missions, exploring Old Detroit is a real treat. Gunplay feels heavy, and engaging your friends and opponents with words as well as bullets is satisfying. In a year filled with blockbusters, this is a cult classic.
God is a Geek - Mick Fraser - 7.5 / 10
Bloody and crass, but also occasionally very human, Robocop: Rogue City is the most faithful adaptation of the movie universe we've ever had.
IGN - Justin Koreis - 7 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City is a pitch-perfect throwback to the action movies of the ‘80s. It’s over-the-top violence with charm, largely well put together but rough on the edges. Most importantly, it's a fun way to spend time in a beloved fictional universe that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Blasting at goons as an unstoppable walking machine remains as extremely entertaining as it seemed on the big screen, thanks in part to an impressive commitment to capturing the look and feel of the original film. Mixing in elements like routine police work and side quests does a great job changing the pace, too. Even if it’s not the best example of visual fidelity, and prone to some bugs along the way, that love of RoboCop shines through. This is a solid B movie of a video game, which is exactly what the source material demands.
New Game Network - Alex Varankou - 58 / 100
RoboCop: Rogue City faithfully recreates the classic character, but gives him nothing to work with. The narrative is dull, presentation is poor, and too many lackluster mechanics are shoehorned in. With unsatisfying action, this title is an empty metal shell of a game.
Niche Gamer - Fingal Belmont - 8 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City is a methodical FPS with some lite roleplaying and adventure game elements. It’s sardonic with a satirical scenario and has very obscure fan service that only die-hard RoboCop fans would catch. Gamers who can accept this are going to have an enormously fun time.
PSX Brasil - Bruno Henrique Vinhadel - Portuguese - 75 / 100
RoboCop: Rogue City has a number of problems that consist more of a general lack of technical polish and the use of a dated overall game structure. Despite this, it respectfully delivers a good setting for a classic character, respecting the original material and with good doses of fun.
PowerUp! - Jam Walker - Loved
Teyon set out to make a damn authentic and utterly enjoyable RoboCop game to a reasonable scale and budget and it absolutely delivered. I can’t honestly say that it’s one of the best games of the year, but it might truly be the one that I’ve had the most fun with from beginning to end.
Push Square - Khayl Adam - 6 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City does an admirable job of bringing the gritty universe of the films to life and of capturing the feeling of playing as the armoured enforcer himself. However, there are only so many cyberpunk lowlifes one can blast to bits before the repetition sets in.
Sirus Gaming - Erickson Melchor - 8 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City is the sequel to RoboCop 2 we wish we had. The developer’s adherence to the source material is to be commended. Never did I think that the game was something only fans could enjoy. The action is thrilling while the side quests serve as a nice distraction from non-stop shooting. Sadly, minor performance issues and visual bugs hinder this title from ascending the ranks even further. There’s also the developer’s conscious choice of reusing characters for background characters. But despite the shortcomings, Rogue City is a game I highly recommend as it goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Slant Magazine - Steven Scaife - 2.5 / 5
But all that feels incongruent with the game’s source material. Perhaps it’s a bit naïve to hope that any social commentary can survive decades of franchising, but Rogue City’s handling of RoboCop leaves hardly a trace of his origins as a commentary on police violence and militarization. All the time you spend clomping around the faithfully rendered interior of the police station is in service of selling the cops as a force for good, with RoboCop’s actions emphatically meant to make the world a better place. There’s even a dialogue option to call the police a “family,” now totally decoupled from standard sci-fi corporate malfeasance. Rogue City has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into replicating the world of this character, but it does so within a mechanical and narrative framework that never quite fits.
Spaziogames - Gianluca Arena - Italian - 6.9 / 10
It could have been a by-the-books license shooter, an easy cash-grab for older players fans of RoboCop. But Rogue City is otherwise: it's not perfect by any means, and in fact there are a lot of much better choices on all of the platforms it lands on, but it's still a work of love from a small studio with a small budget.
TechRaptor - Giaco Furino - 8 / 10
While RoboCop: Rogue City has fun and engaging combat, where the game truly shines is in its interactivity between characters and detective work.
The Game Crater - Chris Melnyk - 7 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City plays and feels like a finely tuned AA game. It is about as close as a game can get to translating the famous cyborg cop to video games, thanks to the mixture of great RPG features, 80's cheesy story tropes, and unique detective mechanics. While there are issues such as visual bugs and slow traversal in some areas, they don't outshine the positives that make the game something that fans of the original films and newcomers should absolutely dive into.
The Nerd Stash - Patrick Armstrong - 4.5 / 10
If you’re a diehard fan of the franchise, want to chuck some bad guys off of buildings, and can ignore the game’s glaring issues, RoboCop: Rogue City may be a fun way to kill a weekend or two.
TheSixthAxis - Adrian Burrows - 4 / 10
Robocop: Rogue City certainly looks the part, but beware of this gleaming, shiny, polished graphical exterior; it hides mechanical insides that are rust-riddled and broken. Dead or alive, this game definitely shouldn't be coming with you.
TheXboxHub - Alister Kennedy - 4.5 / 5
With a fantastic blend of 80s/90s action and storytelling, RoboCop: Rogue City raises the bar for what a RoboCop game can be, while delivering an unforgettable gaming experience in the dystopian city of Detroit.
Try Hard Guides - Erik Hodges - 7 / 10
Campy and overbearing with callbacks and references, RoboCop: Rogue City can make even the most die-hard fan of the series roll their eyes a few times. Despite that and a criminally uninteresting villain, the game presents a truly unique take on the FPS shooter and is faithful (sometimes to a fault) to its source material. You will truly feel like RoboCop in this game.
VGC - Chris Scullion - 4 / 5
RoboCop: Rogue City feels outdated at its core, but this actually works in its favour. With no pretensions that it's offering something revolutionary, the game focuses on delivering big dumb action scenes interspersed with entertaining detective work. It has an engaging story and well-written dialogue, all wrapped in a package that shows clear love for the source material.
VideoGamer - Alex Raisbeck - 7 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City is a game dripping with love and appreciation of the source material, made by RoboCop fans, for RoboCop fans. But frustrating late game combat and clumsily resolved story beats raise questions of whether it's for everyone else, too.
WhatIfGaming - Rizwan Anwer - 8 / 10
RoboCop: Rogue City is a fantastic title that does the IP justice. Being able to play as the titular character feels satisfying he's essentially a walking tank with weight behind every punch and throw. The RPG elements not only let you customize RoboCop's abilities but provide some narrative decision-making opportunities as well. Fighting for a crime-ridden Detroit with its fantastic visuals consistent with fims' art direction further helps with the fantasy, and this is definitely a must-play for fans of the forgotten character.
XboxEra - Jesse Norris - 7 / 10
Robocop: Rogue City is a 7, but it’s a really fun 7. It knows what it is, and it sticks to that no matter what. The writing isn’t the best, and some of the characters look straight out of a $3 steam simulator title. Still I had a ton of fun beating this one over the course of a day and a half so if you love the series it’s well worth checking out.

2023.10.13 03:30 Dia_Borfs Post-TRADOC Thoughts (My final update post about my previous assignment)

Hello weirdos, the update that literally no one asked: my thoughts surviving TRADOC as permanent party. Please understand that this is my opinion, I don’t represent any specific unit and only sharing my firsthand account of experiences during the phases of my time teaching. I’ll add a TL/DR at the end so don’t worry about that. It’s taken me a couple of days to write this out and weeks on what to share since I have a few friends and one neighbor who know my account. I’ve had a “unique” experience while teaching so friendly reminder that what happened to myself may not line up to your experiences if you were also an instructor. With that out of the way, here is my final post on why I hated my time in TRADOC but incredibly happy for the golden moments while serving.

I’m going to try and format it based on themes so I don’t go down random rabbit holes and confusing anyone (to include myself).

The Rona-Era:
To keep from being political since so many shared their thoughts on here (see DoD 2021 position and DoD 2022 recission of said position) and I don’t wanna talk about the goings-on within the DoD. But I hated the fact that after all the masking, demasking to remasking to demasking part deuce, the cherry picking of DoD/DA policies within the schoolhouse was bad. Imagine having local leadership reminding you near daily that the safety of the trainees were of up most importance, while shrugging as multiple instructors were dropping like flies and forced to run back to back classes solo to prevent the dreaded deviation (also known as an exception to policy (ETP)) since the instructor to student ratio was wild and shifted near daily for my first two years. It got extra dumb when we were told we needed to write up those 4856s during that short 2021 stint whereas not wearing a mask is an automatic recommendation for a FG NJP, but kinda fell on deaf ears as it was coming down that we were going to be short on that recruiting mission and decided to let the drills run circles on the trainees. It was entirely annoying, stupid, and regardless of the change in rules we had to act like it was April 2020 for nearly two years.

EO:
Weaponized on day one when I was in the classroom. I won’t get into hardcore specifics cause I do support privacy of the personnel in question with two exceptions as I was a part of those situations directly. Please understand that I support the EO program and it’s variations cause it is important. What I can’t take seriously are people who weaponize it for personal gains and I take that shit stupid serious. Especially those under a training status. Fun fact, being told you can't go to formation without headgear doesn't mean you're a victim of racism.
Mini story, my first supervisor (FS) put in a complaint because he was given a lower rating on his NCOER. Fun fact, FS was deflecting and caused misdirection as people called out his racist and sexist actions. Bro was lazy af and got called out when he tried hooking up with one NCO’s wife, as well as trying to get cute with myself and my friend. Dude is a pervert and took an early retirement option during that rona vaxx separation push during 2021 because he was a SNCO long enough to gain tenure with little to no punishment and the unit wanted him out asap. Which the rona vaxx was faster than this pos getting his comeuppance.

SHARP:
I’ve already spoken on this topic before. This is my first story and the follow-up. But I do have two additions despite all that. Unofficially (in my opinion from first hand experience), sharp cases of cadre members being the victim are not a priority or taken seriously. Sharp reps out there can call reg and policy all day, but local unit execution may not jive and can run counter to policy with little to no resolution. In my case, the sarc had a drug deal with someone (will not deep dive, sharp depresses me enough) and remained in place until she was able to retire. I was already pissed that the sarc was very good friends with my disgusting FS, but nothing came out of it when I tried to make a formal report on the situation. Months later, my FS decided to come back to my place of work as an official retiree. I was so scared he was going to make these visits a common thing, so after a few nights of nightmares and at work flashbacks, I decided to reach out to Protect Our Defenders (POD). As a survivor of two SA incidents, the bs going on at that unit had done a number on me and got me thinking about my own self-worth. A dear friend who was the CO sharp rep helped me when I reported the incident from first story (see above) and I am forever grateful for his support and allowing me to vent. Especially when I had to work with certain people who reminded me of my past attackers and FS. I did get in contact with two local women survivors of MST through POD and the Service Women’s Action Network (SWAM), but I was denied help because I am still Active Duty and could triggerelapse the women’s current care. Local therapy wasn’t much help, as the focus some how steered toward the fact I’m LGBT. The therapist was a nice person, but it felt like it was focusing on politics and other crap that I decided to wait to seek therapy after my PCS. The fact I would pick up smoking randomly and having violent flashbacks isn’t a result for being LGBT, it was the assaults and the previous unit's nonsense. And I will not argue that fact. If it wasn't for my child and some of the best people I could've asked for to work with daily, I would've been focusing on an exit strategy. I can't speak on any further about POD, but I'm hoping it will pick up. I've nearly lost all hope on getting help and just want the nightmares to end.

NCO Business:
It took what felt like was two years before instructors were allowed to be taken as serious as the drills. Example given, when a student got caught with dip or vape the 4856 was written up but was thrown out because the drills didn’t witness the dip/vape firsthand. We were told this was a legal issue, and it was the norm until this past year. Unsure if other training units did this, but it was disgusting to know those who cheated the system got to graduate because either an instructor tried to correct the infraction or because “we’re not going to make recruiting mission.” On a serious note about the senior enlisted promotions as an instructor: it was kind of a gut check being informed how desperate we're to getting and retaining quality instructors while in the same breath admitting that any podium time and any tier of the instructor badges are seen as less valued at the centralized board.

Myself:
After everything above, the divorce, a bad dating situation and being a single mother at my new duty station, I’m slowly starting to digest exactly what the fuck had happened. Depression and hopelessness comes in waves. Some days are better than others. But my child is happier with where we're at. A better home, safer community, and getting to do my job without extra restrictions beyond the norm. For those in the know and read this, thank you for helping me feel hopeful as we developed our students and helping me move a majority of my stuff in the truck. For my neighbors, y’all are amazing and sweet. Thank you for the champagne and giving me that heads up that the travel voucher will take forever. Once I'm off duty tomorrow, I'm just going to go game with my kid, y’all stay safe and stay blessed out there.

TL/DR fuck TRADOC.

Russia’s war on Ukraine, China’s rise expose US military failings, experts say Stars and Stripes

WASHINGTON (Tribune News Service) — It was envisioned as the centerpiece of a $200 billion program revolutionizing how the U.S. Army would fight. Now it’s languishing in storage in Virginia, a 25-ton symbol of the malaise that lies at the nexus of the Pentagon and the defense industry.
The Non-Line-of-Sight Cannon (NLOS-C), a self-propelled 155 mm howitzer on tank tracks, was integral to Army plans to develop the kind of high-tech system that would help offset the numerical advantages of a peer such as China or Russia in a future conflict.
It was part of an ambitious concept to replace combat units with a family of ground and air vehicles, both manned and robotic, all networked wirelessly.
Only it was too ambitious: The so-called Future Combat Systems program was plagued by technology issues, slips in schedule and ballooning costs. By the time the NLOS-C was put on show on the National Mall in Washington in 2008 as part of the Army’s charm offensive on Capitol Hill, doubts were already beginning to form.
“We were under such pressure to finish the assembly and integration on time, we were putting parts together that had never been assembled before,” recalls Mark Signorelli, who worked for contractors United Defense and later BAE Systems, which developed the NLOS-C.
In 2009, after spending $20 billion in eight years with little to show for it, the Pentagon canceled Future Combat Systems — run by Boeing Co. and SAIC — to avert what then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates termed a “costly disaster.”
The collapse of what was the largest and most ambitious acquisition program in Army history illustrates how the defense industrial base that has underpinned U.S. military primacy for decades is misfiring. Munitions shortages, failed audits and surveillance gaps exposed by the Chinese balloon ultimately shot down off South Carolina suggest that America’s military-industrial complex may no longer be fit for purpose.
As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine enters a second year, and China relations plumb new depths over flashpoints from Taiwan to semiconductors, that reality raises serious questions about U.S. readiness to fight a war.
“We have a defense industrial base that’s built to achieve first-level deterrence by virtue of the world class platforms we have deployed,” said Roy Kamphausen, a former China strategist for the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff and now president of the National Bureau of Asian Research. “But there are serious questions about how we would sustain ourselves in a high-intensity conventional conflict of more than a few weeks in duration.”
After decades of consolidation, the industry suffers from a paucity of competition and lacks the kind of “surge capacity” needed to wage major industrial wars. Cost overruns are routine. And a culture of risk aversion rules from the Pentagon to the boardrooms of defense industry giants.
One upshot: the scrapping of Future Combat Systems means that more than a decade later the U.S. Army has yet to develop a replacement for its Cold War-era armored vehicles — the Abrams tank and the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
Or take hypersonic missiles, a field in which the U.S. once held a strong technological lead as far back as the 1960s. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) began a program to design hypersonic weapons in the early 2000s, only to halt it following a series of early failed tests.
Spin forward to summer 2021, when China conducted two hypersonic weapons tests, including the launch into space of an orbiting weapon capable of carrying a nuclear payload, alarming military planners in Washington. The fast, low-flying and highly maneuverable weapons represent a potential threat to the homeland, since they could be used to send nuclear warheads over the South Pole and around U.S. anti-missile systems.
Yet the tests also spoke to a deeper concern that the U.S. may have chronically underestimated China’s ability to deliver innovative technologies to its military.
The moment encapsulated a failure of the Defense Department to transition critical technologies in R&D to production, with the result that “in the interim, Russia and China caught up,” said Michèle Flournoy, a former Undersecretary of Defense for Policy. “Now we are playing catchup.”
Last summer brought another wake-up call. As Washington sent Ukraine Javelin anti-tank missiles and Stinger surface-to-air missiles, along with howitzers and ammunition, it began to deplete its own stockpiles, demonstrating its own lack of resilience.
A third shock as regards U.S. ability to counter China is only now dawning, according to Flournoy, a potential future contender for Secretary of Defense: the presence of Chinese-made components throughout defense supply chains that create “unacceptable dependencies if not vulnerabilities.”
“Most prime contractors can’t even tell you how much Chinese content is in their systems, ranging from semiconductors to displays to nuts and bolts,” she said.
The Defense Department acknowledged that the defense industrial base faces many of the same supply-chain challenges as other sectors. “Lead times from ordering a component to delivery drive production timelines,” said spokesman Jeff Jurgensen. “To offset long lead times, the Department is making sustained investments to expand production capacity and stockpile critical weapons and materials.”
The defense industry’s problems have crystallized into a matter of urgency over the last 18 months, but they date back decades.
In the wake of the Soviet Union’s fall, U.S. politicians hoped to cash in on the “peace dividend,” the promise of economic benefits from reduced defense spending. Then-Deputy Secretary of Defense William Perry laid out what this would mean for the industry at a dinner now known as the “last supper,” in which he told executives to consolidate or face extinction.
Consolidate they did. The defense sector has moved from more than 70 aerospace and defense “prime contractors” that worked directly with the government in 1980 to just 5 by the early 2000s, the same number as today: Lockheed Martin Corp., Raytheon Technologies Corp., General Dynamics Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., and Boeing.
“Not too many years ago, we had five times as many contractors and there was more competition and there was more creativity,” said Rep. Ken Calvert, the California Republican at the helm of the House’s defense spending panel. “As these larger guys kept buying the smaller guys coming up with the ideas, and then encapsulate them and restructure, it’s taken a lot of the innovation out.”
Even some major projects end up with just one bidder. In 2019, Boeing declined to compete for a Pentagon program to develop and procure a next-generation intercontinental ballistic missile because it viewed the tender as heavily skewed in Northrop Grumman’s favor, leaving Northrop as the sole bidder for the nearly $85 billion project.
The dearth of contractors and rigid requirements from their single customer, the Pentagon, helps contribute to the cost overruns that have become synonymous with the industry. One prominent example is the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship. What Navy leaders had touted as a 55-vessel fleet costing $220 million per ship has dwindled to 35 costing on average $478 million apiece.
That’s nothing compared with the F-35. The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter — the world’s most expensive weapons program — is projected to cost $1.7 trillion over its 66-year lifetime, roughly equivalent to the nominal GDP of Russia. Despite its eyewatering price tag, the jet is still plagued by deficient software.
These overruns are baked into the system. Like many defense projects, the F-35 is intricately bound up with U.S. domestic politics. Nearly every state has economic ties to the project, with 29 states counting on it for $100 million or more in economic activity. The F-35 directly and indirectly creates about 250,000 jobs in 45 states and Puerto Rico, according to Lockheed Martin.
The tortured process of defense acquisition has squeezed creativity from the system and made it difficult to deliver innovation. A 2021 Hudson Institute study argued that the time it takes for the Defense Department to go from identifying a need to awarding a contract has increased from about one year in 1950 to seven years today. For innovative systems, such as the F-35, it can take another 21 years to become operational.
China, by contrast, is able to deliver capabilities far more quickly. In a July 2021 address, Maj. Gen. Cameron Holt, then deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, estimated that China is procuring munitions and other high-end weapons systems “five-to-six-times” faster than the U.S.
At the nub of the problem is the Pentagon’s planning, programming, budgeting and execution process, known as PPBE. It controls the resources that make weapons programs happen, but such is its reputation that Congress created a commission to overhaul the process. It’s due to report this year.
“The Pentagon is such a huge bureaucracy and the budgeting process and acquisition processes are really long, very slow, very cumbersome and very linear,” said Stacie Pettyjohn with the Center for a New American Security. “You’re not really rewarded for taking risks.”
The Pentagon’s largess is so sprawling that, through military bases and contracts, it touches all 535 members of U.S. Congress — money that translates into jobs and revenue for companies that are major campaign donors.
Then there are Pentagon regulations, which over time have helped shape the way defense companies work. The result is traditional defense contractors are adept at maneuvering the onerous regulations process required to do business with the Pentagon, whereas startup firms are not.
Elon Musk had to sue the government to allow SpaceX to compete for the Pentagon’s national security space launches. The U.S. government at the time was pouring money into United Launch Alliance — a joint venture between Boeing and Lockheed Martin — that had to use Russian-made rocket engines to propel Pentagon satellites into space after the government decided neither Lockheed nor Boeing were up to the task of being a launch provider.
Musk won. By the time he sued, SpaceX had flown its Falcon 9 rocket and was already entrenched with NASA. And United Launch Alliance is now partnered with Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin to develop a fully reusable, American-made engine.
“They have a motto: Fail to Succeed,” said Calvert, who’s known Musk for 20 years. “In other words, they’re not afraid of failure, because they learn from those failures and then they move on to the next thing.”
The system even struggles to make enough of platforms and technologies the U.S. already has, as illustrated by the lack of capacity to make enough munitions to replace those sent to aid Kyiv. The number of Javelins transferred between February and August last year represented seven years of production at 2022 rates, a study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington found. The number of Stingers equaled the total built for all foreign customers over the last two decades.
The shortfalls stem from reforms introduced in the 1990s, when the Pentagon encouraged defense contractors to embrace the “just-in-time” revolution in manufacturing. The new system was imperfect, but it wasn’t necessarily inefficient for the challenges of the day. Its shortcomings are becoming glaringly evident now.
“The Pentagon treats the defense industrial base like “a hardware store that has many other customers,” said Eric Fanning, a former Army secretary who now is the president of the Aerospace Industries Association. Whereas in fact there is just one, meaning that there is no sense for munitions companies to maintain capacity that exceeds demand.
These same constraints on U.S. industrial production exposed by supplying Ukraine would apply in any potential war against China — whose economy is some 10 times larger than Russia’s. Recent war games conducted by CSIS found that the U.S. could run out of long-range, precision-guided munitions in less than a week in a conflict over Taiwan.
At the same time as it pursued a manufacturing revolution, the industry embraced globalized supply chains in search of low costs and high efficiency with little regard to geopolitical risk.

A February 2022 Pentagon report highlighted supply-chain vulnerabilities in areas including hypersonics, directed energy weapons, and microelectronics. The Titanium Metals Corporation (TIMET), for example, is the last remaining U.S. producer of titanium sponge, necessary for the manufacture of military engines and airframes to armor for America’s main battle tank.

In September 2022, the Pentagon halted deliveries of the F-35 after finding an alloy used in magnets for pumps made by Honeywell International Inc. was made in China. Deliveries resumed after the company found an “alternative U.S. source” for the alloy.

All of these factors have implications for America’s ability to deter China.

The U.S. government is reevaluating its processes for designing, manufacturing, delivering and sustaining equipment, said the Defense Department’s Jurgensen. “These actions will allow us to deliver modernized capabilities to the warfighter at the speed and scale required for the high-end fight — providing a deterrent value all their own.”
There are reasons to avoid panic. The U.S. still spends more on its military than anyone else and possesses technology that China and others are clamoring to copy. China also has its own problems, with chronic corruption and an inability to catch up on foundational technologies like semiconductors and jet engines.
There’s a new sense of urgency in the Pentagon after recent shocks. Even the canceled Future Combat Systems program had its merits, argues Signorelli, formerly of BAE Systems.
“I can point to vehicles today that are using technology that we developed on FCS,” he said.
For John Ferrari, a retired Army major general who served as director of program analysis and evaluation, the issue is that the relationship between industry and its Pentagon patron is so complex and multifaceted that it’s difficult to know where reforms should begin.
“Every single person knows that what we’re doing is crazy,” said Ferrari. “But everybody is helpless to change it.”

WHAT IS GOING ON AT TIMET? BACK IN 2020-21 THE ONLY PRODUCING TITANIUM SPONGE PLANT WAS "CLOSED"!

(Lets look at this 2021 Article for reference:)

Why the US manufacturing renaissance is essential for its survival NationofChange
After decades of decline, the nation now seems “on the brink” of understanding that it’s let far too much manufacturing capacity slip away. By Tom Conway -March 15, 2021
Sam Phillips and Trey Maestas fought tirelessly to save TIMET’s titanium sponge plant, both to protect the jobs of about 420 coworkers and to safeguard America’s future.
The decades-old facility in Henderson, Nevada, was the nation’s last remaining producer of the coral-like material essential for manufacturing warplanes, munitions, satellites, civilian jetliners, ships and even joints for artificial hips.
The plant’s closing last year—despite the best efforts of Phillips and Maestas of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 4856—left the nation completely dependent on foreign imports of titanium sponge and further decimated manufacturing supply chains crucial to the nation’s security.
America can only be truly free if it rebuilds these and other vital lifelines.
On February 24, President Joe Biden signed an executive order requiring an immediate, 100-day federal review of supply chain vulnerabilities in industries like computer chips and pharmaceuticals.
That’s a welcome start. But it will take a much broader and long-term rebuilding commitment to overcome the damage that decades of neglect and offshoring inflicted on the country’s manufacturing base.
Over the past year, widespread shortages of face masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic laid bare the withered state of U.S. industry.
However, the nation cannot regain industrial strength merely by ramping up the assembly of PPE, cars, refrigerators, electronic devices and the other finished products that consumers need for emergencies and everyday life. That would leave the job half done.
The country’s security also depends on patching hollowed-out supply chains and building back the capacity to produce all of the raw materials, parts and components, like titanium sponge, that go into those end products.
That means ensuring America not only makes sufficient numbers of face masks and surgical gowns but also continues to produce the homopolymers that go into them.
It means manufacturing and stockpiling hand sanitizer, as well as the springs that operate the hand pumps.
America needs to manufacture air conditioners to cool homes and businesses and earth-moving equipment, wheat combines and elevators to power a diverse economy. But it’s just as important to produce on U.S. soil the bearings and other parts that keep these machines running.
“We’re at the mercy of whoever is supplying us,” said Maestas, vice president of Local 4856 and a TIMET worker for 17 years, noting foreign nations can cut off shipments for economic or political reasons whenever they want. “Our supplies could change at the drop of a dime.”
Maestas and Phillips, the Local 4856 president, repeatedly warned last year that eliminating domestic production of titanium sponge posed a grave threat to national security.
“We were keeping planes in the air, military and civilian,” Maestas recalled. “I, for one, was proud of what we were doing.”
The USW sent an urgent letter to the previous administration, stressing that the importance of titanium sponge “cannot be overstated” and demanding that the plant be saved “to assist in the defense of our nation.” But no help ever came.
It wasn’t just the USW raising the alarm. The Defense Department has cited unavailability of titanium sponge as a “potential single point of failure” in military supply chains.
Yet TIMET idled the plant anyway. And more losses like this will only render the country weaker and weaker.
“If you can do this to the only titanium sponge plant in North America, what else are you going to do it to?” asked Phillips, who has worked at TIMET for 20 years. “Where does it stop?”
Right now, America’s failure to produce sufficient numbers of computer chips hinders recovery from the COVID-19 recession.
Ford and General Motors scaled back production in three states in recent days because of severe shortages of the semiconductors needed to operate vehicle entertainment, navigation and safety systems.
But the bottleneck puts more than automobile production at risk. Computer chips also power vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, cell phones and the U.S. space program, among many other industries, so scarcities imperil vast swaths of the U.S. economy as well as millions of jobs.
Biden’s executive order requires the government to conduct 100-day reviews of supply chain weaknesses in the computer chip, pharmaceutical, electric battery and rare minerals industries while also launching yearlong analyses of capacity in the defense, transportation and several other industries.
Filling the many gaps will require historic, long-term investments in manufacturing facilities, in innovation and research, and in the roads, ports and other transportation systems essential for moving U.S. goods across the country and around the world.
America’s prosperity and security will require shoring up the supply chains in all industries, not just the handful that Biden has highlighted so far. Because while the nation faces urgent shortages of PPE and computer chips today, it could face just as pressing a demand for other products—like components and infrastructure for energy generation—tomorrow.
“We make important stuff,” said Paul Bartholomew, president of USW Local 2285, whose 200 members produce valves, spacers and compressor disks for gas turbines, along with products for the aerospace and defense industries, at Wyman-Gordon in Massachusetts.
“You just saw what happened in Texas,” Bartholomew said, referring to a collapse of the state’s power grid that plunged millions into darkness during frigid winter storms in February. “You need electricity. You need heat. We assist in power generation.”
After decades of decline, Bartholomew said, the nation now seems “on the brink” of understanding that it’s let far too much manufacturing capacity slip away.
Phillips hopes the nation will yet realize the mistake of idling titanium sponge operations in Nevada. But once a plant like that goes idle, it takes time to build the capacity back.
Phillips estimates it would take two years to have the facility fully operational again. And in a crisis, America may not have that time to spare.
Welcome to TIMET ~Since 1950, TIMET has been leading the industry in mill and melted products, supplying nearly one-fifth of the world's titanium. We are the only supplier with production facilities in both the United States and Europe to support our multinational customer base. ~

Overview of the Elk Creek Project Elk Creek Project - NioCorp Developments Ltd.

NioCorp is developing North America’s only niobium / scandium / titanium advanced materials manufacturing facility co-located with an underground mine. Located near Elk Creek, Nebraska, this will be the highest grade niobium project in North America, as well as one of the largest prospective producers of scandium in the world.
Niobium is a relatively scarce metal and there are only three primary Niobium mines in the world today. But growing demand has created a global market value of >$5 billion. Niobium is considered so critical by the U.S. that it is one of a small handful of metals that the National Defense Stockpile purchases, according to DoD Strategic and Critical Materials reports.
What We Intend to Produce
According to NioCorp’s June 2022 Feasibility Study, the Elk Creek Project is expected to produce the following over its 38-year operating life:
Ferroniobium (FeNb): An average of 7,348 tonnes per annum (tpa) of ferroniobium, a crucial component in high strength, low-alloy (HSLA) steel that is increasingly used in bridges and other large infrastructure projects, as well as in high-pressure oil and gas pipelines, steel-chassis vehicles, commercial aviation, aerospace, defense systems, and in many other applications. Niobium also is a component of superalloys used in nearly all jet engines and power generation turbines.
Scandium Trioxide (Sc2O3): An average of 102 tpa of scandium trioxide. Scandium has important uses in environmentally preferred Solid Oxide Fuel Cells, as well as in ultra-high-performance aluminum alloys. Scandium greatly strengthens aluminum alloys and allows them to be reliably welded, which presents revolutionary potential for the commercial airline industry. For example, between $1.0-$1.5 million of scandium oxide in a single airliner offers $21-27 million in net present value fuel savings.
Titanium Dioxide (TiO2): An average of 12,063 tpa of titanium dioxide. Titanium has the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element, and it is used in wide variety of sectors, including aerospace, national defense, chemical processing, desalination, automotive, health care, communications, sporting goods, and many others. Titanium in its oxide form also is used in the manufacture of pigments in paints, plastics and paper, and is a photocatalyst.Robust Estimated Financial Returns
The June 2022 Feasibility Study projects robust economics and returns for the Project, and substantial improvements over the Project’s 2019 Feasibility Study:

NioCorp's Rare Earth Demonstration Plant Showing Strong Rare Earth Recovery Results, in Line with Expectations - NioCorp Developments Ltd.
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (February 6, 2023) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) today announced that its demonstration-scale processing plant (the “demonstration plant”) at L3 Process Development in Quebec, Canada has succeeded in producing a high-purity mixed rare earth concentrate from NioCorp’s integrated demonstration plant. These encouraging results lend support to the technical feasibility of separating high-purity oxides of several key magnetic rare earths, on which the U.S. is presently 100% dependent, primarily from China, from ore comprising the Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project (“Project“).
NioCorp’s patent-pending demonstration scale rare earth extraction and purification solvent extraction process operation is ongoing in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, using solutions generated by the upstream operations of the demonstration plant. The rare earths were then precipitated out of solution, producing a solid that contains 6% praseodymium (“Pr“) oxide, 25% neodymium (“Nd”) oxide, 0.35% terbium oxide (“Tb“), and 1.6% dysprosium (“Dy“) oxide, with the balance of the solids consisting primarily of rare earths with minor base metal impurities.

2022.12.14 01:48 woodley5325 Counsel your Soldiers.

No, don't just type a 4856 and tell them to sign. Talk to them and help them understand, whether it's good bad or ugly. Make the plan of action make sense, give them progress reports either verbally or on paper. Close them out...
We're using counselings all wrong and it needs to change. Soldiers only see them in a negative light and that doesn't make sense for a "DEVELOPMENTAL COUNSELING FORM." It's in the title, Developmental. Use it that way.
Tell that soldier he did fucking awesome taking the initiative at command maintenance on Monday, getting parts ordered and faults resolved when you were stuck on CQ and put it on paper. Make a plan of action to DEVELOP and to grow that initiative to greater heights.
Tell that soldier he had a promising PT plan but it needs some work on the execution side, put it on paper and make a plan of action to improve it.
Tell that soldier he fucked up and failed Security+ because they didn't study. Put it on paper and make a plan of action to help them get it thr next time.
There's countless examples but help them understand, help them improve. Stop only counseling for flags and bars and slapping their wrists when they over slept for PT... you've done it too they're human they make mistakes. Help them learn from it and be better.
You shouldn't hear soldiers chatting about how they're scared if getting counseled. Counseling shouldn't be a derogatory statement on someone's performance. Change the tone and help them learn and grow.
Soldiers should be thrilled to be counseled cause it's an opportunity for their leader to step up and help DEVELOP them! So act like the leader you claim to be and develop.
Every staff duty shift I find myself in discussion with soldiers during my check who just don't understand what's going on around them whether it be upcoming training, UCMJ, why they didn't get waivered or sent to the board, Why their TOP GUN at gunnery didn't merit an award but all other qualified crews got an AAM. Why SPC ABC didn't get recognized for teaching an HF class to BDE XYZ but SPC ABC's PLT SGT did.
It's everyone, not just team leaders and Joe's either PSGs counsel your squad keaders. You've got the experience not your PL so share it with the guys who will soon be filling your shoes. SSG LMN deserves to know how he could have handles SQD STX more effectively, he deserves your insight on how well he took care of PFC HIJ's preparation for the Board or AIR Assault school. Do your quarterly counselings od your NCOs Stop using NCOERs as an annual function and hit those quarterly check ins to help them understand how to ear that MQ/HQ. Don't just make up some bull shut bullets that probably didn't even happen after 13 months cause you forgot about it until after their Thru Date..
Step the fuck up.
Give me my damn chicken minis and tots, staff duty was stupid last night and I wanna go to sleep.

2022.07.29 20:42 Feeling_Bowl_8706 Unexpected Rating on NCOER

REQUESTING ADVICE
Hello fellow leaders,
Today I’d like to seek the advice of my peers and superiors.
This week I received my draft NCOER and it was a much lower and weaker rating than I expected. I am supposed to PCS in one week and I have hit an impasse with what to do.
Background:
I am a SSG with two years TIG, and last year I was selected to become a Warrant Officer. When I originally came to my unit, I was one of few SSGs that was assigned additional duties. The first thing I did was make sure they were up to standard and fix all of the discrepancies I found. Because of this, I quickly went from one additional duty to three in my first year here (UPL, VA, MRT). As many of you know, these duties can be VERY time consuming and draining. While I didn’t want to do them and regularly spoke to my NCOIC and 1SG about wanting fewer duties to focus more on my job, I was never able to get relieved.
Instead of being angry, I decided that if I was assigned something I would take it and do a good job. I elevated every single program and ensured SOPs that never existed were on file and everyone met the training standards they were supposed to meet and provided garrison level support. Over the course of the year, between my regular duties and additional duties I found myself so busy that I was the first one in and last one out. However, it did not go unnoticed. My CSM, COL, 1SG, garrison reps for programs, etc all recognized me for the good work I was doing.
On top of that, I even decided to train for Nijmegen and successfully finished and got awarded the metal.
I was the only NCO in my section that mentored other NCOs and helped them get promoted, sent guidance to the entire section to get them ASIs, etc. I truly poured my heart and soul into this unit during this rating period and made sure every tank was taken care of.
Every counseling that I have received has been on a DA 4856 (wrong I know), but has annotated that I have been doing a great job. Now, when I get my NCOER my rater (a senior SFC) and senior rater (a newly promoted CPT) say that I wasn’t meeting the mark and should have been more focused on my job.
Before I get the question, YES I have asked for proper counselings from both my rater and senior rater which were not fulfilled. And yes I do have documentation.
When I spoke with them I brought up many points about my previous good counselings and my accomplishments and hard work. They explained that I was not around for the 4th qtr (leave and TDYs) and that I was not focusing on their preferred tasks so I didn’t deserve a good rating.
None of the 4856s were ever closed out, and when asked for copies of my counselings I now received one that I was never given before and is neither dated or signed annotating issues they said they had that were never told to me. When asked to provide example of how my peers exceeded my work ethic, I was told that is “not my business”.
I pulled the emails and counselings and showed that I had glowing remarks from both my section leadership and the base leadership.
I spoke with the acting 1SG, CSM, CO CDR, and a trusted senior NCO in the unit. Each one knows me and has seen the documents and openly said that they disagree completely but there is nothing to be done except ask for a Sr Rater Counseling and possibly appeal later. My CSM even said he had to call and double check that they meant what they put and that he expected me to visit his office.
I again requested a Sr Rater counseling per advice I was given via 1SG and my sr rater now agreed to give it.
I have had some people tell me not to worry because I will be a warrant soon but there is no guarantee that it will work out and the premise of this is wrong. Leaders should never surprise those they rate when they give them ratings, if they felt that I needed to improve since my last counseling they should have told me and given me the opportunity. At the end of the day, I don’t choose what duties I’m given and should not be faulted for a lack of deconfliction from the section to the company. Even if this doesn’t get resolved for me, I owe it to hold them accountable for those after me.
The options I am now looking at are to
A.) Get the Sr Rater counseling and provide the documentation (counselings and emails) supporting my claims and speak to IG if they won’t work with me
B.)Wait and appeal the NCOER after it is signed
C.) Sign it and let it go
I am open to ANY advice or guidance on where to look or who to talk to or how to further approach this.

2022.01.29 22:21 mjxmr mj's dev report 2022 Jan

mj's dev report 2022 Jan
Dear Community,
For the last 3 months I’ve been >90% dedicated to deliver a minimal but, at the same time, usable version of my tsqsim, which is meant to support Monero Researchers in building prediction models. The model in focus currently predicts the next timestep’s Monero transaction amount for OSPEAD. In the recent Monero Research Lab meetings however, it was already being envisioned, that there are more uses possible (like during this meeting). Already seeing such potential for further usages, it is then my duty to make sure, that the tool is well documented and easy enough to use, in order not to demotivate the Researchers right from start. On the technical side, I prepared the system so, that it now accepts various input formats, which it’s even able to automatically guess, making as few prior assumptions about the input data as possible. At the same time, I will be available per request, whenever any Monero Researcher needs technical support for the tool. In fact, a few days ago, after I had presented to u/Rucknium the latest plots (ACF, PACF & co.), generated by the tool (indirectly), which are quite the industry standards of the Time Series Analysis, I have immediately felt, like we’ve started to talk in the same language. You have to realize, that prior to this, I had been super busy trying to deliver something useful on time and there are enough technical nuances inside the tool itself, that being able to find a common language at the end is a great success. This means, that we can all focus on our own specifics/internals without them being a burden to each other, while at the end of the day, we can still have meetings, whose linguistics are understandable to everybody, so that we all know later how to reflect the meetings’ conclusions in our own individual worlds, so to speak.
To bring some context for the described conversation, one of the newly generated plots, that I presented was Seasonal Decomposition:

Seasonal decomposition of Monero's transactions (daily data, with period of 7)
The subplots from the top are:
  1. The observed series (number of transactions)
  2. The seasonal component of the 1), across each repeated day of the week
  3. The trend component of the 1)
  4. The residuals
Rucknium immediately associated the above plot (particularly the 2nd subplot from the top) with the extensive publication written previously by u/isthmus below, where he discovered similar strong seasonal patterns (mind, that mine are reversed due to a tiny bug):

The same seasonal patterns discovered by isthmus
The additional standard plots, that every time series analyst would expect to have at hand are the ACF and PACF plots:

ACF (Autocorrelation Function) plot

PACF (Partial Autocorrelation Function) plot
To understand the logic behind ACF and PACF, I recommend watching this clip. A seasonality relevant explainer from the same Author is available here.
In case of Monero, the negative autocorrelations at the early lags mean, that for most of the time the changes of transaction numbers alternate between being high 1, 2 steps before, to being significantly lower at the current step, and vice-versa.
This would mostly conclude the human-language part of the last 3 months. Before I go into technicalities of the major achievements of tsqsim, I’d just like to quickly mention the remaining work I’ve done for Monero directly (that < 10%).

Direct contributions to Monero

There were relatively few pull requests opened lately, and I helped reviewing those where I was a good fit (IT-related). I also took a look at the Monero-GUI project and fished a few fitting pull request for my reviews. Most of them were merged shortly thereafter, so I re-ran my Monero Statistics generation tool, which stores the results at the usual address:
http://cryptog.hopto.org/monero/health/
There was a need to run the tool 3 times in the last 3 months.
Together with u/selsta, as the reviewer, I also took care of the transitioning process from Mac OSX 10 to Mac OSX 11 on the GitHub’s Continuous Integration, by making sure that everything works ahead of the final transitioning deadline of 13 December, so that we’d not suddenly hit a wall due to unexpected related errors.
Similarly, I’m taking care of the Windows 2019 to Windows 2022 transitioning, mentioned by the GitHub staff here. This time, I simulated the transition not only for Core but GUI as well. Luckily, there were absolutely no errors during neither the simulation of the transition, nor the transition itself. This has a lot to do with the achieved relative stability of the code base regarding the header inclusions, library linkage and using standardized C++ features. Failures on any of these 3 fronts are the typical culprits of errors during such transitioning.

tsqsim news

And now I’d like to write more details about the tsqsim, which was my main priority for the last 3 months. I will mention the major achievements non-chronologically, most important first. The importance for me is measured by how well the tool can be used right now by the Monero Researchers, especially Rucknium.

R integration

The integration with the R project was always the stated requirement made by Rucknium. I was able to connect my app with an external R script, that anybody can modify without the need of:
  • disclosing the findings, until the discovered vulnerabilities are addressed
  • recompiling the simulator
  • using plugin interface, which poses some technical burden, at least at the current stage
The C++ part of the integration can be seen here, while an example working script, ready to be extended at any time is stored here.

wxConfigurator

Additionally to the (still incomplete) command line interface, the wxWidget-based configurator is an essential GUI tool, that controls the behavior of the simulator and exposes its features transparently, also thanks to tooltips.

wxConfigurator

Continuous Integration (CI)

I spent a good deal of time in the 1st half of December on making sure, that the project runs on all platforms supported by GitHub’s Actions (Ubuntu Linux, Mac OSX and Windows), especially Mac OSX, since this is the platform, where Rucknium conducts his research. He confirmed to me, that he could run wxConfigurator and the console simulator under his Mac OSX.
Below is the latest (at the time of writing) run of the CI, showing all the platforms and parameter combinations, whenever they make sense, taking into account the gain/cost ratio:

tsqsim's CI on GitHub with various platforms and combinations of settings
Please take into account, that the existence of the “--lto” option (abbrev. of Link Time Optimization) is crucial for such a potentially resource-demanding simulation, as together with static linkage, it delivers about 40% speed up during the looped calculation phase, or generally speaking: during “the production phase”.

Thanks to the CI, I was able to discover, that the Qt library, that I use for plotting, is unfortunately outdated so much, that it only compiles on Ubuntu 20.04 and its corresponding Debian base – “Debian Buster” (the previous Debian-stable). Porting the Qt app to the latest version would be a great task for another 1 month, especially because it does deliver unique interactive features. Yet in order for the simulator’s visualization to be accessible for the newest platforms, where the currently used Qt library’s version is deemed outdated, I had to deliver a usable alternative, which I chose to be the very portable Python’s Matplotlib. Below is the proof, that the Qt App’s visualization (the upper window) is able to be mirrored by a less interactive, but visually equivalent Python-based alternative (the lower window):

The interactive Qt App (above) and its Python-based portable equivalent (below)

Optimization

As promised, I have integrated the optimization methods, that I had already been using for other projects, which deal with optimization (meaning, that the methods had been stress-tested in the field). The optimization tries to find such combinations of parameters of the (prediction) model, which maximize the gain function (or minimize the cost function), where the gain function here is the relative performance of prediction of your model (the green plot) versus the baseline prediction (the gray plot). The baseline prediction is simply the copy of the previous signal’s data point, hence you observe a shadow of the signal (the blue plot).
The solution can be optimized by 3 methods: Naive Grid-Search [O(n^m)], Multidimensional Bisection Method [O(m*log(n))], and Monte Carlo [O(n)]. The last one of them has an early stop option, that stops further calculations when the variance changes fall below a certain configurable threshold, or in other words, whenever it’s observable, that the solution doesn’t improve anymore repeatedly since a dozen of latest iterations. For example, the below search for optimal parameters would be automatically stopped at around iteration #90, if the according option was selected:
Variance changes of the solutions found by the Monte Carlo method. Y = Variance changes, X = Iteration
The Monte Carlo optimization is a special case, because it delivers a set of results, not just one, thus yielding a glimpse into the future about how well the model would perform for new data: the higher the number of various random parameter setups, that were better than the baseline, the more probable it is, that in the future the model will have it easier to be a good fit, using the parameters found on learning from the currently available data. The reasoning behind it is, that if the hyperplane of the optimal solutions is wide enough, there can always be found a solution that is “good enough”, even if the patterns of the new data change a bit. Of course “good enough” still means at all times: better than the baseline prediction. The distribution of solutions is presented as a plot in the console window, along with the textual representation below the plot:
Distribution of the solutions found by the Monte Carlo method. Y = occurrence, X = fitness score
An important detail to mention is that the Grid Search method suffers from the “Curse of Dimensionality” or "Combinatorial explosion”, meaning that as the number of parameters (dimensions) increase, their processing (i.e. optimization) time raises exponentially (think: up to days or weeks). Neither the Multidimensional Bisection Method, nor the Monte Carlo method, suffer from this problem, thanks to their sophistication. I knew from my experience, that they would be a great addition.

Walk Forward Validation

Even beginners in Machine Learning field know the standard prediction score validation method called Cross Validation) (CV). In Time Series Analysis we don’t have the luxury of being able to shuffle the data like in the original CV method, since the current and the next ( = predicted) data point depend on the previous data points, and have no right to have any connections to the future data points, because this would lead to Look-ahead bias, or in other words: plain cheating of yourself and your customers, as in reality, you'd never achieve the performance shown to you by your system if you cheat this way (still assuming, that the act of cheating would be completely unintentional).
Thus in TSA all that we are left with, is a validation window, moving only forward in time, called Walk Forward Validation (or Optimization) . The project already allows to perform this validation method, although I admit, that there are some UI feedback features, that would still require an estimated week of further work. The great news is, that the Monero’s transaction amount data are predictable enough, so that even my own, entry level prediction model, that was able to achieve 20-30% better score than the baseline model in-sample, didn’t suffer noticeable regressions of its score across at least the next 2 months without retraining (out-of-sample). This means, that even if the model has to be fit manually (read: before we automate it), we’d have to do it not more frequently than once in a month. See below:
Untrained model

Trained model, showing its in-sample performance

The same model with the same parameters learned previously, but showing its out-of-sample score on data from one month later
The relative performance to baseline dropped from 100% - 75% = 25% for in-sample test down to 100 – 77% = 23% for the decisive out-of-sample test in the next month, so only by 2%.
There are still many points that need to be addressed. I keep track of them on the project’s Wiki. As you may see, there’s still a lot to mention, and I wouldn’t like to bore you with things that are not done yet, thus can’t be easily presented, especially since this post is already lengthy.
However what I absolutely need to mention is, that my friend, Hajer, decided that she wouldn’t be able to handle the side tasks specially selected for her, complaining about her lack of the necessary experience. One of her tasks was writing the alternative to Qt: Python plotting, which I’ve already done myself, as soon as I heard the bad news. The second was the porting of the Qt App to the latest versions of the major operating systems, that I promise to do in the next iteration of my proposal, soon to be written. To be honest, I don’t believe that she wouldn’t handle the tasks, but I totally understand from autopsy her feeling of being left with no more mental power after having been mentally abused by your employer for 8+ hours each day. That being said, the more I understand her situation, the more I appreciate being able to develop the simulator and participate in R&D of Monero in general for a decent pay, instead of sharing the workforce’s ill fate. All this thanks to you, Guys. And let's hope, that one day Hajer will patch up her broken wings and fly in our direction :)

2021.11.29 18:28 Mashilial Is it possible by the project creators to stage the reveal?

I mean. You bought one NFT of a collection on presale. Number 4856 of 10 000. You don`t know if it will be revealed on the reveal date as rare or nor rare NFT. Is it technically possible to the project creators to reveal rare NFTs of the collection to numbers bought by themselves and to reveal not rare to everyone else?
I mean for example I bought a new MetaKrew NFT. One of 9500, Number 4850 for example. The reveal date is the 3d of December. Till that time I see my NFT unrevealed. Blockchain stores only info that I own the number 4850. Is it possible to project creators to reveal to me on this number on the reveal date not rare one intentionally? Or is there some mechanics protecting me? Please explain if you know

2021.10.31 22:38 Anarchisteen Need help creating a counseling statement

Hey all, I work with a JTF with service members in the airforce and army. I'm an Army NCO, so I need some help. We have been having a problem lately with service members failing to keep the interior of the GOVs clean(shrimp tails on the floor, a muffin smash into the carpeting, and a loaf of Italian bread just left on the seat). Unfortunately, there are not many 4856 examples to pull from, but I'm creating a standard template for my fellow NCOs to use when they encounter this issue with members of their squad. Could you guys help me pull up some AFIs? I'm not familiar with your regulations, so I'm just asking for some help.
Edit: Thank you for all your help! I've got the answer I need. Thanks for taking the time to help out a random army dude. 🤘

2021.09.25 12:15 TeethOrToothpick THE MCC VOD CRASHCOURSE v4 - MCC RISING EDITION!

Dear MCC Rising Participants,

Right now, you might be a bit overwhelmed with the advice that you're getting. There seem to be a lot of people, all giving different advice for every game. However, look no further than the MCC Rising VOD Crashcourse! This is the 4th version of the VOD Crashcourse, with its purpose being to help you (as an MCCR competitor) improve at MCC through watching videos of past competitors!
By watching these VODs, you can see strategies in practice and get an idea of how each game is played at a high level. Even if you haven't watched tons of MCCs before, this will get you completely in the loop about every MCC game If you have any questions, or want me to make some particular VOD guides / game guides for your team, flick me a DM on Reddit, BirdApp (@TheOneOnlyXYZ) or Discord (TheOneAndOnlyX#8718). Otherwise, let's get going and have a look at...

THE MCC RISING VOD CRASHCOURSE!

In this post, there will be three categories of VODs:
All of these videos are timestamped on the particular game which is being showcased in order to make it nice and easy to navigate. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION ABOUT EACH VOD BEFORE WATCHING IT!
I'll also be grouping VODs from each game into Essential VODs and Other Useful VODs. Definitely watch all or some of the Essential VODs, and if you have time, watch the Other Useful VODs as well! However, watching all of the VODs that are put down as "Essential" should make you an MCC Pro! Also, if there are particular games that you have questions about, feel free to scroll down to whichever game you need!
By watching these VODs, hopefully you'll be able to better understand the best way to perform in each of these games, and hopefully it will improve how you perform in MCC! Let's get started!

Games that have been played in MCC Season 2:

Big Sales at Buildmart:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
MCC17 Orange is the POV to watch for Buildmart. This team did absolutely incredible in Buildmart, with one of the highest scores of any team in Season 2 in Buildmart. This team uses the traditional Buildmart strategy of having one player assigned to each Build, as well as having one person act as a floater. If you're going to use this strategy, assign someone with the role of floater ahead of time. In this event, SB acted as the floater whilst PeteZahHutt, FalseSymmetry and Grian each took one build.
Furthermore, Grian took the role of "Buildmart Coordinator". The job of the coordinator is to micromanage everyone in what they're doing, making sure that the floater is getting the blocks that people need. However, at the same time, they're doing one of the three builds themselves. This role is difficult
Overall, there are two keys to playing Buildmart well which are displayed within Orange's POV.
  1. Making sure that there is as little downtime as possible. If you don't have anything to do right now, help another player place blocks, go collect some items that you can get easily, make sure you're always being useful and not simply standing around in your base!
  2. Have clear communication. Try and remove as much unnecessary communication as possible. This would include questions like "how do I craft this item", so that more important messages like "can someone come and check this build" or "I need someone to get birch logs" can be heard. This is one of the reasons why learning crafting recipes is genuinely a huge deal in Buildmart, and I'd recommend that you do it before the event! Communicating when you need to will take your team to a buildmart victory!
In terms of which MCC17 Orange VOD to watch, it depends on what role you'll have.
In contrast to MCC17 Orange, MCC 16 Aqua are a team that people didn't expect to do well in Buildmart, but they truly popped off by getting 3rd place! Much of this can be put down to the clarity with which 5up explains their strategy at the start of the game, so make sure that you're listening at the start. To summarise their strategy, they rush getting a Golden Build, and then focussing more on two of the three plots, having a pair of people on each build. This is a great strategy if your team is less confident in Buildmart, as it puts less pressure on each player. However, it's likely to earn less points overall, so do be aware of the risk.
Finally, this team aren't afraid to communicate. If someone was unsure how to craft a specific block, they asked. Always do this! Even though I mentioned that it's not good to clog up communications, it's better to ask instead of not doing the build at all!
Other Useful VODs:

Parkour Tag:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
IMPORTANT NOTE! It's possible that the Parkour Tag map for MCC Rising will be the new one (seen in this update video) which has not been played before in an MCC. Because of this, memorising routes may not be the most effective way to study Parkour Tag.
MCC13 Teal demonstrate wonderfully the importance of communication throughout Parkour Tag to ensure that players stay alive for longer. This resulted in all four of their players making the Top 5 for this game. Krinios was the strongest of the four players in this game, coming 1st overall. This team also is a great lesson in planning ahead of the event which player will hunt which team. However, it is important to note that MCC13 used the older, square box map, whilst current MCCs have a much more organic map for Parkour Tag.
MCC15 Yellow are a good demonstration of how to communicate throughout Parkour Tag. Punz ensures that the team are having good callouts throughout every single round, as well as ensuring that they are well spaced apart from each other. Communication in Parkour Tag can be the difference between winning a round and losing a round. Make sure your communication is nice and clear! Saying "Turn now" is better than "He's nearby, you should go the other way".
Specifically for hunting, have a look at PeteZahHutt in MCC16. Though Pete's quite strong at parkour, he has in the past struggled with Parkour Tag. This MCC, however, he got the strategy down when hunting. Whilst not quite as fast as some hunters, such as Dream, Pete demonstrates the importance, as he mentions within the VOD, of just trying to make the jumps and not tunnel visioning onto the people that he's hunting. It's better to focus on the jumps than focus on the players.
This advice also applies to running! When you're running, of course focus on where the hunter is, but let it psyche you out! It's much more important to just keep making the jumps.
Other Useful VODs:

Ace Race:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
Currently, we don't know what the Ace Race map is going to be for MCC Rising. Therefore, here are the best POVs for each Ace Race map! I won't go into too much detail for each of them, as the general advice for Ace Race is pretty simple. Make sure you've practiced with the trident and elytra on the practice server, and stay calm even if mistakes happen. It's possible to make back a lot of placements!
Technoblade's Ace Race in MCCP21 uses multiple shortcuts, and is overall incredibly clean. He adapts to the slight changes that are made to the course, and overall has a near flawless run.
PeteZahHutt's Ace Race on Python's Crypt certainly isn't as optimised, but is performed on a much more difficult map! Practice using tridents if you're on this map, as there are many difficult trident sections throughout, both underwater and across the water walls.
Punz's Ace Race is the fastest performance by a player on Space Race. However, ItLW played as a spectator, and achieved a faster time. The main thing to focus on in Space Race if you really want to pop off are the elytra skips, which are rather difficult to do.
Finally, if you don't think that your Ace Race skill is quite as strong as these players, below you'll find some VODs for Space Race and Clouds which don't use the skips mentioned, but still perform very well!
Other Useful VODs:

Survival Games:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
You might notice that all of these VODs are from Season 2, and that's due to how the meta has very much changed a lot going into Season 2. Because of this, VODs from Season 1 aren't particularly useful. However, there are some POVs at the end which show the SG maps that aren't mentioned here.
MCC15 Red; one of the strongest SG performances in Season 2. The communication in this team is very strong, and demonstrates the new meta. Stick together, play it safe early on, and then try and get as many kills as possible when the border gets very small. Sapnap is a strong POV to watch, but also pay attention to how Dream ensures that the team doesn't split up throughout. This is a great POV for teams that think they're rather strong at PvP.
However, if you don't think that you're a strong PvP team, watch MCC17 Orange! They stick together and also play it incredibly safe, not getting too many kills but still making it into dodgebolt. PeteZahHutt ensures that the team doesn't split up, but also plays very smart. For example, Pete targets HBomb when they're entering the final circle, removing the only remaining individual player and ensuring that the team get a higher team bonus!
Another POV worth mentioning is Punz in MCC14. In this SG, his team died incredibly early, and he was the only one left alive. However, he ended up placing in the Top 5 for SG. Watch how his team guides him away from other teams throughout the game to ensure that he gets maximum survival points.
OTHER USEFUL VODs:

Battle Box:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
MCC13 Coral an incredibly strong PvP team, and is one of the few teams to get a perfect score within Battle Box. Of course, with each map being different, strategies for Battle Box will change. However, the insane communication that they showcase, as well as keeping each other in high spirits throughout the game is something that can be applied to any Battle Box!
Sapnap would also be a very good team to watch for this VOD, as he obtained the most kills, though I believe that Krtzyy gives a better showcase of communication and leadership. Both POVs are good showcases of high-tier Battle Box gameplay. This team, overall, is a wonderful guide for how you should play in Battle Box if you believe that your team is cracked at PvP
If you want a VOD that demonstrates how a team who may not be PvP focussed can do well, however, watch MCC12 Cyan (in particular, CPK). This demonstrates how strategy plays a key part in Battle Box, not simply raw PvP strength.
Finally, below are some good POVs for every single Battle Box map. These are less to do with being good Battle Box teams, and more to help you depending on which Battle Box map is chosen. DO NOT WATCH ALL OF THESE! I don't want to torture you with that much Battle Box! Instead, once you know what the map is for MCC Rising, watch the particular VOD below. Overall, watch this to get an idea of the map layout.

Sky Battle:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
TapL in MCC15 for Skybattle is a great POV to watch, as he manages to lead his team to do incredibly well in Skybattle. Pink overall in MCC15 were generally rather cracked, and manage to do win 2 out of 3 rounds. TapL ensures that the team are together, and generally coordinates them throughout. Wilbur is also great to watch, due to having strong callouts after his death; something that's incredibly useful when you're playing Skybattle.
MCC14 Lime has Fruitberries, a player who is relatively cracked at PvP. This team manage to survive relatively late in all three rounds, working together to ensure that they get lots of survival points, as well as showcasing good use of fishing rods. Notice their strategy they use where everyone is always placing blocks to ensure they cannot be fishing rodded easily. Fruitberries' final round is also one of the top MCC plays of all time, in my opinion.
MCC14 Purple shows how you can very easily come back in Skybattle, and is also a wonderful demonstration of great teamwork, similar to MCC14 Lime. They begin with a very rough round, but manage to come back across the following rounds, despite any struggles along the way. This team really show strong teamwork, but also show that you shouldn't feel down after the first round. The nature of Skybattle means that a comeback is very much possible.
Finally, Grian demonstrates how you can pop off in Skybattle, even if you might not consider yourself to be a strong PvPer. In the first round, Grian plays cautiously with the rest of his team, getting survival points, as well as getting a few kills plus a win! Overall, you don't have to be an incredibly strong PvPer. If you use all the items you're given (particularly fishing rods, TNT and creeper eggs), then you can gain a lot of coins by getting kills here and there!
Other Useful VODs:

To Get To The Other Side And Whack A Fan:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
TGTTOS is a slightly awkward game to study VODs for, as there are a variety of maps which can be used, and there aren't any particular techniques worth advising that apply to all of them. One major point is to ensure that everyone on the team knows the maps, as a large portion of the points come from the team bonus for finishing first. However, there are some videos worth watching for general ideas of how to do.
Illumina shows a very impressive solo performance in TGTTOS in MCC15. Though the meta has certainly changed now to reward teams doing well (as the Top 4 teams all receive a team bonus), this is a good VOD to watch to see a really strong player! In a similar vein, Fruitberries in MCC17 had an absolutely amazing TGTTOS!
If you, however, don't think that you can block clutch like Illumina and Fruit, a POV that I would recommend would be Ranboo! He has consistently done well at TGTTOS since he started playing, despite not having the insane technical skill of Fruitninja! In MCC17, he came 3rd individaully, with his team coming 1st overall in TGTTOS!
In regard to getting an idea of every map, I would recommend this video (All Fastest Completions), which showcases the fastest completion times for every single TGTTOS map! Though some of these might be too difficult to pull off, particularly if it's Fruitberries or Illumina doing it, you can at least get a good idea of how each map works.

Hole in the Wall:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
I'll be honest, Pete is cracked at Hole in the Wall, and Sapnap has also been doing very well recently! There are many VODs that I could have chosen to put in here, but the reason why MCC17 is a particularly good one is because of the new walls in Season 2, making Season 1 VODs less useful.
As a player, practice the walls on the practice server, but remember that they can come at you from any direction when you get to the actual event! Because of this, you should also decide if you want to play in 3rd Person for all / some parts of Hole in the Wall!

Sands of Time:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
You might be wondering, why are there so many POVs for this game? Basically, Sands of Time is complicated, and you should watch a lot of POVs to get the hang of how it works. If you're going to be your teams sandkeeper, watch the sandkeeper POVs! If you're going to be a runner (as in someone who explores the tunnels), watch the runner POVs!
Illumina in MCC15 is one of the best individual performance in Season 2 Sands of Time of someone exploring the dungeons. He uses torches and carpets well, and takes out mobs in a systematic manner. Great example here!
HBomb94 is considered the king of Sands of Time, so it's no surprise that he's on this list as one of the top POVs! His MCC17 run showcases how to be a truly outstanding runner! HBomb takes major risks when it's sensible, such as doing a lava parkour room early on to get some coins, but not doing it later when he's already got quite a few. Furthermore, H is very aware of his own skill level, being able to do the easy lava parkour to get to the red vault without much risk. Finally, HBomb shows that it's important to actively communicate even if you're not a sandkeeper! With the help of Rendog, the entire team knows how much sand is left at all times, and HBomb is able to help guide when people should start returning with sand.
Though Rendog is often offered up as a good POV to watch for Sands of Time as a sandkeeper, I personally lean towards fWhip! Ren is good to watch in order to get the key idea of what the job of sandkeeper is; communicate how much time is left. fWhip goes further, helping to co-ordinate his teammates (such as passing around keys, and informing people where the keys are for particular vaults), as well as get as many coins as possible through using the droppers. Best POV if you want to be your team's sandkeeper!
However, in addition to watching fWhip if you're going to be a sandkeeper, watch Ponk in MCC16! Yellow did incredible in Sands of Time, and it's particularly outstanding considering that this was Ponk's first time ever sandkeeping! Even though there's nothing particularly incredible about his sandkeeping style, this is a wonderful template on how to be a sandkeeper if you're new to the game. Also, all of his teammates give him the support that he needs as a new sandkeeper throughout the game!
The final Sands of Time VOD that's really worth watching is Orange in MCC12, with my personal POV recommendation being HBomb. This team had outstanding communication, and the VOD shows how a team should co-ordinate throughout the entire game.
Other Useful VODs:

Grid Runners:

ESSENTIAL VODs:
Whilst most team games require clear communication, Grid Runners requires clear and rapid communication. The teams which performed best were those who were quickly able to communicate how to clear each room, thus resulting in the whole team being able to clear each room. Both Lime in MCC16 and Lime in MCC17 demonstrate this wonderfully. In particular, Lime16, within Tower and Lime17 in Kitchen / Art Gallery, as they complete these rooms incredibly fast, putting them in the lead!
The main thing with Grid Runners is keep calm, and try and quickly figure out how to clear the room. If you can't do it immediately, slow down and think about what you need to do.

Games that have not been in Season 2 (OPTIONAL):

Now that we've got through all of the games that have been in Season 2, here are some other games that haven't been played this Season. For those competing in the normal event, I'd recommend having a look at these in case they get added back in, but the Admins have already said that MCC Rising will not have any new games, though MCC18 might. Therefore, only watch these if you want to!

Parkour Warrior:

OPTIONAL VODs:
This was the last time that Parkour Warrior was played, and also the hardest version of the course. Dream is the only person to ever clear this version in the event. Not much to say here, except that Dream is really good at Parkour Warrior!

Rocket Spleef:

OPTIONAL VODs:
There's not too much to say about any of these VODs, except that both Phil and Fundy are very strong Rocket Spleef players. The general advice in Rocket Spleef ,which both of them showcase, is know how to rocket jump, use your firework right before TNT time, or whenever you need it, and if you're gliding down at the very end, make sure that your cursor is slightly above the horizon to ensure you glide at the optimal angle (see the position at the end of Fundy's first game).
Quig shows a slightly different aspect of Rocket Spleef, that being killing. Though he may not be as good at surviving as players like Fundy, he regularly gets high numbers of kills.

Bingo but Fast:

OPTIONAL VODs:
Honestly, I could choose any perspective from MCC8 Aqua to showcase how Bingo but Fast is meant to be played. All of the team members kept each other informed of what they were doing as they tried to get each item. HBomb popped off the most in this team, completing 7 challenges, but all the team members did incredibly well. Another thing you can learn from this, make sure you know your crafting recipes before you play.

FULL MCC VODs:

With that, that's at least one VOD for every single MCC game! If you've made it this far, here are a few more useful VODs to watch in their entirety. However, I wouldn't recommend watching every single one of these, as each of these is generally 2 - 3 hours long. The most important of these VODs are MCC14 PeteZahHutt and MCC17 Grian, but read all the information below to see if any others may be useful as well!
Admin Streams: Pretty simply, the Admin Stream gives you a very good overview of the event, whilst also showcasing every single game. You can pick up a few cheeky wee strategies by watching any Admin POVs, but I'd recommend watching either the MCC15 or MCC17 Admin Stream, as both are great Admin Stream VODs from Season 2! However, the best reason to watch these is for the pure chaos of the admins discussions! These certainly aren't "necessary" to watch, but help you get the full vibe behind the event.
Tester VODs / Highlights: Testers are often incredibly good at the game, and there are a variety of VODs / testing highlights to watch from MCC Season 2. Personally, I would recommend these testing highlights from ThatJGuy, Piggles and Catchy / Sam, though there are many more!
MCC14 PeteZahHutt: As the best performing player in MCC14, this is a must-watch for any new players. Pete is a strong player in PvP, movement and team games whilst also assuming a strong leadership role throughout to a personal 1st place, as well as 3rd place for the rest of his team.
MCC12 HBomb: With a team that isn't necessarily tipped to be the best, HBomb exceeds expectations to net his team a 3rd place finish. Though HBomb isn't the highest scoring player on his team, he shows incredible leadership and helps to elevate all of his teammates' scores.
MCC17 Grian: Before MCC17, Grian had never made the top 10. With this team, he did. This team is a genuinely incredible watch, with their overall score actually breaking the point record if you use the old scoring method! However, the main thing to take away from this team is that by playing games that you enjoy and having fun, you can do incredibly well in MCC. Grian pops off thanks to not having too much pressure to do well, and because he instead has a fun time with his teammates.
MCCP21 KreekCraft and InTheLittleWood: These two streams showcase two different sides of the new player perspective; Kreekcraft as a new player who performed incredibly well, coming 4th, and Martyn, who came 6th, and was really good at teaching Sqaishey (a new player) how the games worked.

Conclusion:

With that, I think I've given any MCC Rising participants more than enough VODs to help them perform to their best in this event they play in! Thank you to all the people on the MCC Discord Server who helped me by recommending VODs (you know who you are)!
Feel free to leave a comment if you think I've missed any VODs of note, and hopefully this helps any MCCR players who have been looking for a VOD guide! Once again, feel free to contact me on Discord (TheOneAndOnlyX#8718), BirdApp (@TheOneOnlyXYZ) or just flick me a DM on Reddit if you're interested in anymore help for this MCC!
Best of luck : )

2021.06.12 03:56 coldbre_w Recruiting for a new, low-rate, pre-BB server.

Hi all,
We're a small team building a low-rate, pre-BB (v62) server. We have a few devs, a few months of development, and plans to change the "magestory" meta. No vote2win or pay2win.
As such we're re-balancing maps, skills, and in many instances creating new skills entirely to replace broken or otherwise "useless" skills. As a small example, F/P mages gain a party buff that gives attackers in their group an extra burn or poison damage (depending on the buff and the attacker).
We also plan to introduce a full-fledged crafting system, and have working stack-able buffs (so, Rage + Warrior Elixir stacks), among other things.
If you're interested in building with us, my Discord is cold brew#4856. We're on GTOP but we haven't advertised much or released yet -- I'll send you more information over DM if you're interested. We're looking for WZ editors, game designers, developers, testers, and more!

The sales person has ~6 months for all their sat appointments to mature into sales ideally I need a pivot table (to enable slicers) with the Demo's Sat month as rows, sales dates as column heading but as a running total.
I also need the total of the Demos sat each month at the start of the table something like below.
but with Demos sat at the front of each month.
As not every Demo will result in a sale I need it to sum the total sat demos per user etc without being broken down by the sales month if that makes sense.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

2020.10.18 18:14 aerrejon Development update for the weeks of October 4th and 11th, 2020

Introducing SkyDB

SkyDB was finally announced and released. This mutable database hosted on the Sia network will enable developers to build user authentication systems for their Skynet apps, easy aggregation of data sources, seamless migration of user data from one app to another and blending different apps to create cross-app experiences. SkyDB is probably the most important deliverable created for the Sia network. You can read the details here. The technology is available today, and you can try it in this demo app and learn how it works here.

Development progress

Most of the work these past weeks has been finishing the registry, the database stored on Sia hosts that enables SkyDB:

Situation: Writing a 4856 with reasons/examples/achievements deeming a SPC(P) worthy of a lateral promotion to CPL. Both NCO supervisor as well as Soldier's NCOIC is for it, and will be "presenting" the idea and counselings to support this to the BN CSM.
What are some good points, attributes, work ethics that would be good to build upon specific to the Soldier?

Happy Halloween! Here is the text from the latest development update which can be found here.
-----------------------------------------------------
If you've been looking forward to the Switch graphics and performance update, I have to warn you: This could be your least-spooky Halloween ever. Jason from 505 Games has more info later in the update.
First, a quick update on reward fulfillment. Alchemist's Treasure and hardcover art book rewards ($100-175 tiers) have all been shipped; if you haven't received a shipping notification from us and you backed at one of those tiers, send us an email. $250 and $300 Collector's Box rewards are being shipped now; US-bound shipments of those tiers will all be out as of today, and international shipments are currently in progress. We've also seen isolated reports of packages being damaged in transit—if your Alchemist's Treasure sleeve or Collector's Box was damaged, send us an email with more information and we'll get a replacement sent out.
---------------------------------------------------
Hello—IGA here.
The Japanese console version was finally released. However, we've received reports that backers were unable to receive their copy on release day...
There is no excuse, and I'm very sorry for not meeting your expectations. Thank you for your patience as we work to quickly resolve the issue.
In this case it was quite tough because there were issues that went far beyond our expectations; I would like to apply these lessons to the next time.
On the development side, playable Zangetsu is taking shape; we are currently checking for bugs. We are very close to delivering it to everyone, so please wait patiently until then.
At the same time, we're also hard at work on the other additional content. We'll do our best to get everything that was promised ready for you as soon as possible.

Happy Halloween, everyone!
Nintendo Switch Graphics and Performance Update
Happy Halloween, everyone!
Nintendo Switch Graphics and Performance Update
The Nintendo Switch Improvement update is live! We know it took a while to get this update to you and we are very appreciative of your patience.
There are four areas of improvement in version 1.03: Input Lag, Visual Quality, Crashes and Load Times.
First off, input lag has been eliminated throughout the game. You will find the controls more responsive, making the game easier to navigate and enemies easier to fight. There are still a few areas that need optimizing that will be included in update 1.04.
Visual quality has been improved so things look more clear and have more detail. Some examples below:
Image 1
Image 2
Image 3
Overall stability has been improved throughout the game. We have addressed several specific situations that have been causing crashes, most notably when reading books from a bookcase.
Loading times have been reduced significantly, by up to 70% but there are still areas we'd like to improve. We will keep working to improve this on a room-by-room basis.
Even more improvements are coming in update 1.04, so keep an eye on the news for that announcement!
---------------------------------------------------
Zangetsu / Xbox 1.04
Unfortunately, we don’t have specific dates yet for Zangetsu or Xbox update 1.04 (including the IGA's Back Pack DLC) yet. As soon as we have that info we will share it with everyone.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work on the game across all platforms and work to add more modes and backer goals.
---------------------------------------------------
Japan Update
Hello everyone, this is the publishing team for Bloodstained at 505 Games. We’d like to update you on the status of the game in Japan and issues we're working on resolving urgently. Unfortunately, due to some technical issues, Bloodstained was delayed from its originally planned release date on the digital PlayStation 4 storefront, but should be live as of today, Oct. 31, 2019. Similarly, while the 1.03 patch is already on-cart for physical Switch versions of the game, we have also seen a technical delay of the 1.03 patch for the Switch version of the game, which contains the vast majority of improvements for that version. We are working closely with Nintendo of Japan to get these improvements through their submissions process and live on Switch as soon as possible.
Thank you everyone for your patience, and once again, apologies from everyone on the Bloodstained team for the inconvenience. Japanese PlayStation 4 physical copies are arriving in our warehouse now, and distribution to backers should begin Friday. Digital copies are expected to arrive and be distributed to backers early next week.
We also apologize for the delays regarding the DLC for the game: “Iga’s Back Pack”. This is due to a combination of bugs and technical issues with submissions. Everyone on the Bloodstained team has been working on resolving this, and we anticipate being able to share an expected release date with you shortly.

2019.10.22 19:59 shichae Predefined OSNAP Temporary Override using Shift Key

There are some OSNAPs whose behavior gets modified when used in conjunction with other OSNAPs like Endpoint, Midpoint, etc. versus the workflow that happens when only a single OSNAP like Insert, Center, Geometric Center is used. For example, when the Insert OSNAP is utilized by itself, the user only needs to place the mouse pointer near a block to select the insertion point, but if Insert and another OSNAP like Midpoint is selected, then it will attempt to find the midpoint of the nearest line in the block that the mouse cursor is near, and the user will need to move the mouse cursor near the insertion point glyph to select it. I’ve worked around this in the past by using temporary OSNAP overrides via the keyboard or SHIFT + Right Click menu, but after many years of wishing there was a better way to do this, I finally decided to find the simplest way to accomplish what I was looking for.
What I wanted was a way to use a keyboard shortcut to activate a predefined OSNAP temporary override, but I wanted it to be simple like holding down the Shift key. By default, ACAD uses the Shift key to “Toggles Orthogonal Mode”, but I manually use the “F8” key to do this same thing, so having both the Shift key and F8 key do the same action is redundant for me. ACAD allows users to customize the keyboard shortcuts via the CUI a.k.a. “Customize User Interface” dialog box, so this was the easiest way to accomplish setting up a single “Object Snap Override”. For my uses, I was only interested in setting up a workflow for the Insert OSNAP, but this will work for any OSNAP that you would like to temporarily switch to by using the Shift key. Let’s be clear, there is a difference between “Toggles” and “Override”; toggling will active or deactivate the OSNAP, but overriding will temporarily activate only that specific OSNAP, then after the command is completed the original OSNAPs will go back to the way they were before being overridden.
The workaround that I found was to remove all instances of “Toggles Orthogonal Mode” in the CUI, and then enable the Shift key on the “Object Snap Override : Insert” customization under the Keyboard Shortcuts -> Temporary Override Keys section of the CUI. Easiest way to do this is to use the command CUI at the command line, then expand the Keyboard Shortcuts in the “Customizations in All Files” section of the CUI (Typically Upper Left section of the CUI Dialog Box). Once you click on the “Temporary Override Keys” entry, the “Shortcuts” portion in the upper right side of the CUI dialog box will show all the Temporary Override Keys; sort the shortcuts by Keys, then modify any instance that only uses the Shift key (I use MEP, so there are typically more than one instance calling out the same keyboard shortcut). Once the current instances of the Shift key override have been removed, find and modify the “Object Snap Override : Insertion” shortcut to use the Shift key, and then save your changes by clicking “OK”. If done properly, holding down the shift key will temporarily override the OSNAP settings to the Insert OSNAP while the shift key is pressed. This same action can be used to set an OSNAP temporary override for any OSNAP. For more info on how to customize the Temporary Override Keys in ACAD here’s a link to Autodesk’s primer on the subject:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/AutoCAD-LT/files/GUID-EEC8DC54-1B73-4856-8CC8-228AECDDFE3C-htm.html
In the future, perhaps I’ll write a LISP program and accompanying DCL dialog box to enable a slick interface to enable one or more OSNAPs that can be enabled as an alternate set of OSNAPs by using the Shift key, but for now this is more than enough for me. Hopefully adding this into your workflow will shave some useless clicks, keyboard interaction and/or mouse movement, and help speed the process of your drafting.

2019.08.02 04:45 2012ronpaul2012 The Occult, Numerology & A Lot Pointing at an Event on August 10/11th

Take some of this with a grain of salt. But, as you know through my Shemitah analysis and digging into the occult signs, symbols, dates and numerology used by many of the satanic cabal that currently rule over this Earth that I do pay attention to these things.
I also have one particular TDV subscriber in the Czech Republic who parses through a lot of this data for me… and what we have been uncovering about some sort of event on August 10th/11th is at least worth mentioning here. If something of interest does happen on this date then at least I can say I tried to tell you. And, if nothing happens, much of this information is interesting nonetheless.
TISHA B’AV
Tisha B’Av, the 9th day of the month of Av, which is the 11th month in the Jewish calendar (in Europe they would write this date as 9.11., this year 2019 in Gregorian calendar TISHA B´AV falls to August 10-11), is the saddest day in the Jewish calendar, on which the orthodox jews fast, deprive themselves and pray.
It is the culmination of the Three Weeks (of mourning), a period of time during which we mark the destruction of the two Holy Temples in Jerusalem, the Solomon’s temple by the Neo-Babylian empire in 587 BC and Herod's temple by the Roman empire in 70 AD.
It is crucial to note that this world is run by secret societies and at the very hard core of the secret societies is the Kabbalah. Kabbalah is the ancient jewish mysticism. It is a method of encoding information through a system of mathematics and numbers. It is some of the most ancient knowledge that man has ever possessed and has been kept secret and given only to those who proved themselves worthy through the process of initiation.
Nobody today really knows where it comes from, it was here a long time before the jews came along, the jews just took it and preserved it. It truly is the hardcore of the secret knowledge, the metaphysics, the science that not even 0.1% of the today´s world population know anything about,
Shortly to the symbol 911 and what it means in Kabbalah; Tisha B'Av is actually the Ninth of AV, the 9th day of the 11th month in the jewish calendar. In Kabbalah number 10 is the symbol of God's perfection and superiority.
The satanists (what the people at the highest ranks of the secret societies like freemasons are) are literally very afraid of God, so they do everything to escape God’s supervision over their deeds , try to hide from Him and that is why they have this symbol 9 11 as the most satanic one, since they believe this symbol kind of “jumps over” or “skips” God, since God’s symbol of perfection and superiority in Kabbalah is the number 10.
They jump over the number 10 or try to skip it, that is why 9 11… the Tisha B´Av holiday of the jewish calendar falls into the second half of July or first half of August in the Gregorian calendar.
Some of the events that took place on Tisha B´Av in history:
● The First Crusade officially commenced on August 15, 1096 (Av 24, AM 4856), killing 10,000 Jews in its first month and destroying Jewish communities in France and the Rhineland. ● The Jews were expelled from England on July 18, 1290 (Av 9, AM 5050). ● The Jews were expelled from France on July 22, 1306 (Av 10, AM 5066). ● The Jews were expelled from Spain on July 31, 1492 (Av 7, AM 5252). ● Germany entered World War I on August 1–2, 1914 (Av 9–10, AM 5674), which caused massive upheaval in European Jewry and whose aftermath led to the Holocaust. ● On August 2, 1941 (Av 9, AM 5701), SS commander Heinrich Himmler formally received approval from the Nazi Party for "The Final Solution." As a result, the Holocaust began during which almost one third of the world's Jewish population perished. ● On July 23, 1942 (Av 9, AM 5702), began the mass deportation of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka. ● The AMIA bombing, of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, killed 85 and injuring 300 on July 18, 1994 (10 Av, AM 5754). ● The Israeli disengagement from Gaza began in the Gaza Strip, expelling 8000 Jews who lived in Gush Katif; August 15, 2005; 10 Av, 5765. ● Last year 2018 on Tisha B´Av on July 21st, we had a shooting in Chicago. It happened at 10:30am when the arms of the clock point at 11 and 6, the upside down 911.
Tisha B´Av this year is the numerical value of the number 58, 11+8+20+19, 58 is very symbolic number for freemasonry and other occult or secret societies. Donald Trump is also connected to this number, we will devote some attention to this number with relation to Donald Trump later below, furthermore the word TRUMP equals 222 in „reverse satanic“ style of gematria. August 10th is the 222nd day of the year.
Moreover, some numerologists are saying that the most satanic day in the year from the number point of view is June 6th, like 6/6. For example, last year the merger of the two giants, Monsanto and Bayer , deal for $66 billion USD, was allegedly signed on 6/6/18 (18=6+6+6). Now if you add 66 days to 6/6 (June 6th), you’́ll come to August 11th, TISHA B´AV of 2019.
This year we had a ritual on 6/6, with all the world’s (mis)leaders in Normandy, France, the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landing of the allies in 1944. On CNN they put some headlines in quotes, like “NORMANDY ANNIVERSARY” which equals 222 in ALW Kabbalah style of gematria (the beginning of Tisha B´Av this year is in the evening of august 10th, the 222nd day of the year). They also posted, “NORMANDY D-DAY” which equals 118 in both ALW and KFW Kabbalah styles of gematria. Maybe they are pointing to august 11th as much as they can, since 11.8. is the way August 11th is written in Europe.
AUGUST 11TH
The date 11.8. is also like 11+8 = 19, we are in the year 19, 19 matches CHAOS is gematria, in reverse it is 91, matching PHOENIX.
It is also like 11x8=88, which is the symbolic number of Trump, in other words the “super time number.”
The number 11 in Kabbalah is representing duality, shattering and the initiation into the mysteries of religion. September 11th was permeated by the number 11 like no other event in known history. 11 is also represented by the twin pillar of Jachin and Boaz, which stood at the entrance of Solomon’s temple. Number 11 and its multiples are the master numbers in numerology, they do not get reduced unlike the other numbers, which can be reduced.
The number 8 is the number of time, represented by the hour glass, the infinity symbol and the Ouroboros biting its own tail. Number 8 is also the symbol of the Magician tarot card, the Magician is always depicted with the number 8 above his head and with the hourglass on the table in front of him. 1+1+8+2+0+1+9=22
22 is the “master builder number”, freemasons consider themselves to be THE MASTER BUILDERS. Also, there is 22 books of revelation, this date august 11th seems to be very much entangled with eschatology or the end times.
Haarp’s patent day is August 11th 1987. It will be exactly 32 years on august 11th 2019. The 32nd degree is the highest degree of initiation of the Scottish rite of freemasonry, the most used rite among the Jewish freemasons. It has 33 degrees, but the 33rd degree is the so called “honorary degree”, the masons in the 33rd degree are bestowed this kind of degree as a credit for what they have done for freemasonry in their life or even after they die. No higher initiation into any more “sacred knowledge”, the highest degree of initiation is the 32nd degree.
The formation of AL-QAEDA was on 11.8.88 (1988). This year on August 11th 2019 it will be exactly 31 years. 31 is the 11th prime number and also 13 in reverse, 13 is the biblical number of rebellion. AL-QAEDA matches 58 in gematria (words matching this number will be named later on) and also 888 in gematria, matching DONALD J TRUMP, EMMANUEL MACRON, JESUS CROSS, DEUTSCHE BANK
Also, 11.8, 1919 the new German constitution was adopted, founding the Weimar Republic. This act lead Germany shortly after the first world war and a downwards spiral of hyperinflation, consequently into a nazi overtake, and ultimately into the second world war.
DONALD TRUMP
With the connection of building the third temple in Jerusalem at this time, the third year of the reign of Donald Trump as the new “King Cyrus” (the third year of the reign of King Cyrus is being described in the bible), and along the fact this year being very, very important for the satanic rulers on its own, this year TISHA B´AV on August 10th-11th 2019 seems to be a quite probable date for some kind of event of 911 importance.
The state of Israel just celebrated its 71st anniversary on May 14th this year. 88 days later we´ll come to August 10th, the beginning of TISHA B´AV. 88 is the symbolic number of Trump (the re-incarnated King Cyrus):
● Trump spent 88 million USD of his own money for his campaign ● Trump had 88 offices across the US during his presidential campaign ● Trump had 88 events or campaign stops during his campaign ● Trump had the number 88 on his podium everywhere he spoke during his campaign ● Trump had 88 military advisors, retired admirals and generals who supported him in his campaign ● Trump’s slogan “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” equals 808 in numerology. For those who missed Christine Lagarde’s lecture on numerology, zeros are ignored in numerology ● Trump’s slogan “STRONGER TOGETHER” equals 88 in two gematria styles ● Trump’s cousin Thomas P. Trump , due to which Donald Trump was being mocked during his campaign, died exactly 1 year before Trump's inauguration day, 20. January 2016, 88 days before he would be 88. ● The movie Donnie Darko, predicting Trump's victory, where the main character kind of symbolizes Donald Trump, and the movie talks about time travel and the year 1988, is overloaded with the symbology of the number 88 ● The word “Trump” matches 88 in gematria in the „english ordinal“ style, the most basic numerology style, where A = 1 and Z = 26, DONALD J TRUMP equals 888 in english-sumarian style of gematria ● Trump’s mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, died when she was 88 years and 88 days old
Donald Trump, in esoteric circles, is always compared to King Cyrus, or Cyrus the Great, the king of Persia, who released the Jews from the 70 years of captivity in Babylon, gave them back the city of Jerusalem and built a wall around it. Netanyhu even compares Trump to Cyrus.
When Trump was selected the US president, the state of Israel started minting coins with the king Cyrus and President Trump together on one coin.
If we just for a while accept the notion that Trump is the reincarnation of the King Cyrus, (now taking into account the fact they truly look alike…), we should also look at some potential other connections and similarities between these two leaders and maybe try to make some predictions of what might be happening in the near future…
Now let’s look at the bible, New King James Version, Daniel 10:
Daniel 10 New International Version (NIV)
Daniel’s Vision of a Man
10 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war.[a] The understanding of the message came to him in a vision.
2 At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. 3 I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.
So now we are in the third year of Donald Trump (reincarnated Cyrus the Great???) presidency, who is compared to King Cyrus in many esoteric and historic aspects, and we are nearing the “three weeks of mourning.”
The three weeks of mourning are between the 17th of Tammuz (when the walls were broken down, the breach was made, when they were coming over to take over the temple and siege Jerusalem) and Tisha B´Av (the destruction of the two temples, Solomon’s temple and Herod's temple), meaning this year, 2019, between July 21st and August 11th in the Gregorian calendar.
August Eleventh is like 11.8.2019, or 11+8+20+19=58. 58 is the number very much connected to the freemasonry other occult or secret societies.
Let's look at some words matching the number 58 in numerology: JERUSALEM, THIRD TEMPLE, SOLOMON’S TEMPLE (the 1st temple that got destroyed on Tisha B´Av), HEROD'S TEMPLE (the 2nd temple that was destroyed on Tisha B´Av), RED HEIFER, FREEMASONRY, ROSICRUCIAN, SECRET SOCIETY, SCOTTISH RITES, DOLLAR
It is important to note that Donald Trump won the 58th presidential election in the USA, his inauguration date was 20.1.2017, 20+1+20+17=58, Trump Tower has 58 floors. Trump announced he would be running for candidacy from the 58th story of the Trump Tower. August 11th is 58 days after Donald Trump’s birthday (June 14th).
Donald Trump was in Israel at the exact place where they plan to build the third temple, on May 22nd 2017 (another very ritualistic day for the freemasons), exactly 811 days before 8/11, or august 11th 2019.
PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING
THE SIMPSONS:
The episode “APOCALYPSE COW,” quite clearly symbolizing the RED HEIFER, (154 in gematria, matching TEMPLE MOUNT, RITUAL SACRIFICE).
RED HEIFER, which birth was announced by the Temple institute in Israel on September 4th 2018, a day that leaves 118 days till the end of the year, later was celebrated in Israel on 9/11/2018. The date the Red Heifer was actually born is reportedly on August 28th 2018. August 28th 2018 is like 28.8./2018, or 2+8+8=18, 1+8=9, then the year 2018 is like 2+0+1+8=11, so hidden 9/11 in the date of the Red Heifer’s birth.
The birth of the red heifer is a biblical sign of building the third temple, the third temple should be built at the time when the MESSIAH comes back to planet earth, the messiah is said to come back “through the Golden Gate”.
The Simpsons’ “APOCALYPSE COW” is the episode 17, Season 19 (season 19, do they point to the year 19??? btw. „AUGUST 11“ is 19 in gematria matching CHAOS, and also equals 91 matching PHOENIX), episode 17 (1+7=8, do they point to the 8th month of the “season” or year 19?).
“Apocalypse Cow” came out on April 27, 2008.
2008 was a leap year, so April 27th was the 118. (11.8.) day of the year.
Again, it is 11 years ago when this cartoon was put out…
THE GRIM REAPER
There is a video of Grim Reaper standing in the dress of Satan next to the San Francisco Golden Gate bridge, nicely done predictive programming, this video came out July 24th 2018, exactly 1 year and 18 days before August 11th 2019. 1 year 18 days. We are dealing again with the predictive programming of 118…
PACIFIC RIM
In this movie, which is all about a tragic events and the main one is the destruction of the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE IN SANFRANCISCO, it shows on the scene when the bridge is being destroyed the date August 11 2013, at 9:32am (923 and its variations are the new satanic code for some kind of tragedy events). Maybe just a coincidence…
SAN FRANCISCO GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
It is said that the “third temple” should be built at the time the Messiah comes back. Also, the story says that the Messiah will come back through the “Golden Gate”. The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco kind of shares the name with the Golden Gate in Jerusalem. That is the eastern gate of the Temple Mount, where a divine presence used to appear and will appear again, when the Messiah comes, and a new gate replaces the present one.
It is important to note that Donald Trump won the 58th presidential election in the US, but is actually the 45th president of the US, since some presidents made two terms.
Let's look at some word or word connections having 45 in gematria:
GOLDEN GATE, HOLY BIBLE, BRIDGE, MIKE PENCE, BITCOIN
Now the current mayor of San Francisco is the 45th mayor of San Francisco, and she is turning 45 years old on August 11th 2019. Her name is London Breed.
Lets look at the gematria of her name:
LONDON BREED 54 (45 in reverse), 317 matching SATURN, MESIAH, BITCOIN, 216 (6X6X6), 33
The construction of the Golden Gate Bridge started on January 5th, 1933. 1/5/1933 is like 1+5+19+33=58
NUMEROLOGY
It is important to note that numerology belongs to the esoteric science by which all the secret and occult societies are literally obsessed! Next to the geometry or mainly sacred geometry and architecture, math, astrotheology, it is fair to state that numerology is probably the most important one of all of the teachings in all of the mystic schools.
It is not the right time now to explain why it is so, it is just important to note that it is a fact. The cabalists and high ranking members of secret societies are convinced that words with the same numeric values are having some kind of interconnection or kind of the same vibrational frequencies and therefore kind of a same meaning or purpose in this material world, or the matrix we are living in. The core of numerology is that these people believe that God created the world by merging the letters with the numbers and vice versa.
So, let’s get technically into it and see some other correlations and predictive programming, since we know very well that the powers that should not be, according to the cosmic rule, HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THEIR PLANS IN ADVANCE, OTHERWISE IT WILL NOT COME TO FRUITION! If we are really talking about some event on a biblical scale, that could really be called 911 2.0, there really has to be something for those who have “eyes to see and ears to hear…”
August 11th 2019 is like 11+8+20+19 = 58
Let’s look at some words matching the number 58 in numerology: JERUSALEM, THIRD TEMPLE, SOLOMON´S TEMPLE (the 1st temple that got destroyed on Tisha B´Av), HEROD’S TEMPLE (the 2nd temple that was destroyed on Tisha B´Av), RED HEIFER, FREEMASONRY, ROSICRUCIAN, SECRET SOCIETY, SCOTTISH RITES, DOLLAR, GREGORIAN, CALENDAR, ZODIAC, STARS
This year the most significant freemasonic ritual was undoubtedly the burning of Notre Dame. Interestingly, the 15th of april, this ritualistic day, is exactly 118 days before August 11th, or before 11.8. Coincidently, april 15th, 15.4.2019 is like 15+4+20+19=58, the same value as August 11th 2019.
There was also one other satanic ritual this year, the so called “Christchurch shooting.” It happened on the 15th of March 2019. The zip code for Christchurch is 8011 (8/11). Interestingly, 2 mosques were attacked by the shooting as well as two temples were destroyed on Tisha B´Av. Coincidently the word connection CHRISTCHURCH SHOOTING is 118 in „jewish reduction“ style of numerology.
The Christchurch shooting happened on 15.3.2019 , it is like 15+3+20+19=57, the same as August 10th, or 10.8.2018, which is like 10+8+20+19=57, some other words matching 57 in numerology: JEWS, MOON.
11th of August is the 223rd day of the year. 223 is the symbolic number of SKULL AND BONES.
There are some words and word connections matching 223 in gematria:
THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN, MASONIC, GOLD AND SILVER STANDARD, GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, NATURAL DISASTER, SAN FRANCISCO BRIDGE, LET HIM WHO THAT HATH UNDERSTANDING COUNT THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST.
On May 14th, 2019, the state of Israel has celebrated the 71st birthday. Words like TEMPLE, TALMUD equals 71 in numerology. May 14th is the 134. day of the year.
Some words matching 134 in numerology: TISHA B´AV, NINTH OF AV (the same as TISHA B´AV), NETANYAHU. From august 11th till the Netanyahu’s birthday on October 21st is exactly 71 days.
The major satanic ritual of this century was undoubtedly 9/11, or September 11th, 2001. From that day till August 11th 2019 it is exactly 17 years and 11 months. In numerology, the master number 11 and its multiples do not get reduced, the other numbers can be reduced. 17 years and 11 days. 1+7/11 is like 8 and 11 to the day 8/11. The word DEATH equals 118 in “JEWISH” style of gematria.
222
CONCLUSION
You may have read all that and just think I am crazy. But there are a lot of people who put a lot of work into decoding these things and it is very interesting information.
So, will something major occur on August 10th or 11th? And, if so, what will it be?
I’ll leave that up to you to ponder on but there is enough evidence pointing to those dates that I felt I should at least make you aware of it.
Other dates that have similar programming include September 23rd and/or November 23rd. I’ll keep an eye on those dates as well but we are thinking those dates are more likely to be of importance in 2022 or 2023.
This is all just information. Do with it what you wish. But, as I said, at the very least it is very interesting!
