Update on my previous post
After asking about places to buy a lower receiver for the extra P226 slide I had, had a few people recommend Matrix Precision Parts. Finally finished putting the lower together, and here’s the completed piece. Thanks for the suggestion!

2024.05.20 19:57 JayFranMar Season 4 AMP Breakdown

Season 4 AMP Breakdown
JAK Harbinger Kit, M4
This .50 Cal conversion kit for the M4 is an extremely deadly, quick-kill weapon. The slow fire rate, drop in bullet velocity, and a significant increase in recoil will require a careful hand.
.50 beowulf automatic conversion for the M4, expect similar stats to the FTac Recon. unusually seems to have a variety of different barrel attachments unlike most AMPs, three different ones can be seen in the images below, all appear to be variants of existing M4 barrels. Presumably blocks magazine and muzzle attachments. this AMP appeared in the Season 3 blog by accident.
A real .50 Beowulf AR-15
old image from S3 blog they presumably added accidentally
S4 blog image
S4 roadmap image
JAK Gunslinger, Basilisk
A frame and cylinder conversion that allows the revolver to hold eight rounds of .357 ammunition with an exceptional increase to rate of fire and a near instantaneous trigger action.
Conversion from the S&W Model 500 (Basilisk) to the S&W Model Model 327, expect similar stats values to the .50 GS (Desert Eagle). this made be more cosmetically based on the R8 series (as seen in CS:GO and CS2) which is derived from the 327. Will probably block the trigger and ammunition attachments.
S&W Model 327
JAK Volkh, KV Inhibitor
A meticulously crafted stock and receiver modification that updates the weapon to fire a two-round burst at minimal MOA dispersion, making every trigger pull count.
Not based on anything in particular, appears to be the first AMP that blocks the stock category judging by the description, may also block the rear grip. decent chance its a thumbhole stock like the Dragunov's. slightly reminds me of Infinite Warfare's Widowmaker which was also a two round burst sniper but was bolt-action.
JAK Scimitar Kit, FJX Horus
Improved range and recoil are standard with this aftermarket kit which also unlocks the use of a high-capacity drum mag for the FJX Horus.
It's a long barrel and drum magazine as a single attachment, not anything particularly special. expected the barrel to be based on the civilian carbine version of the MP9 (like the Rival-9's conversion is for the Scorpion Evo) but no civilian carbine version exists for it. will probably block barrel and magazine attachments.
blog image
JAK Thumper-656, RGL-80
An improved long barrel for an infantry-carried grenade launcher. Fires projectiles at higher velocities and distances. Compatible with a wider variety of launcher projectiles.
Coming to a hardcore match near you! gives the RGL actual attachments in the forms of different types of grenade rounds. the RGL is based on the Milkor AV-140 MSGL, this appears to turn it into the longer barrel MGL Mk 1L.
MGL Mk 1L
blog image
JAK Requiem, Kastov 762
A counter-balanced rifle system designed to completely eliminate vertical recoil.
Based on the AK-109, an application of the AEK-971's BARS recoil system onto the AK-100 series in 7.62x39mm. will probably block barrel attachments.
AK-109, notice the very different gas block
blog image
JAK Decimator, Lachmann Shroud
This modification allows the Lachmann Shroud to fire in full auto.
Changes the trigger group to a full-auto one (like the Lachmann Sub's). will probably block rear grip attachments. expect similar stats to the Lachmann Sub for obvious reasons.
blog image
JAK Intimidator, Renetti
Slow down your fire rate and take more deliberate shots with this modification that changes the Renetti to a single-shot weapon.
Sounds like a competition shooting/race gun conversion. no idea what it would block, could have a built in optic like the JAK Signal Burst, could have a built in muzzle brake, could have a flared magwell (like the Daemon has as an attachment), etc.
a Beretta 92 race gun
Overall opinions
Unlike past seasons every AMP is mechanically possible and fairly logical (the Volkh is questionable logic-wise but mechanically fine). the vast majority are based on specific real world variants or derivatives of firearms with the only exceptions being the Volkh and Scimitar (only because the MP9 doesn't have a barrel that long in real life, its still a logical "conversion"). interestingly this is the first season with no multi-weapon AMPs like the JAK Glassless optic and JAK Cutthroat stock (on a related note this likely works on the new SMG).
in terms of gameplay uniqueness overall they aren't particularly good sadly. the only exceptions are the Thumper and Volkh with some possibiliy of the Requiem and Intimidator depending on how they end up playing.

2024.05.20 03:27 GeneralApathy A Messy Guide to Energy Weapon Damage Output

Okay, so this guide just started off with me trying to figure if Elijah's Advanced LAER was worth using on an energy weapons crit build (turns out it is), and kind of spiraled out of control. I decided to do the math on most energy weapons; at least the ones you'd consider long-term (inb4 Laser RCW, Alien Blaster, etc). Some ground rules about this post because I don't know how readable this is for other people:
Factors affected by weapon crit chance multiplier:
Luck, Finesse, Built To Destroy, Ulysses Duster, 1st Recon Beret
Factors that add a flat crit chance:
Set Lasers for Fun, Light Touch , Laser Commander, VATS (adds +5%, not include in any of the calculations
AER14 Protype
52.325 (base damage + optimized MFC + Laser Commander) + 52.5 (crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 2x
20% (Luck) + 10% (Finesse)+ 6% (Built to Destroy) + 10% (1st Recon Beret) + 10% (Ulysses Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) + 10% Laser Commander = 75%
Average damage per shot = 91.7 (base damage * (Crit Damage * crit chance)
Average DPS = 275.1
Pros:
Low requirements
Very low spread
Easier to repair than most energy weapons
Cons:
Located in Vault 22
Requires Laser Commander to outperform the Q-35, which is easier to acquire
Uses 2 ammo per shot
Elijah's Advanced LAER
126.375 (Base damage + Optimized MFC + Laser Commander + prismatic lens) +22.5 (Crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 1.5x
15% (Luck) + 7.5% (Finesse) + 4.5% (Built to Destroy)+ 7.5% (1st Recon Beret) + 7.5% (Ulysses' Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) + 10% (Laser Commander) = 56% Crit Chance
Average Damage per Shot = 138.975 (base damage + Crit Damage * crit chance)
Average DPS = 385.98
Pros:
Extremely accurate
High damage per shot and DPS
Needs very little perk investment to perform
Very low weight
Cons:
Need to start OWB to acquire it
Very low item HP and difficult to repair without repair kits/Jury Rigging
Hardly benefits from crit perks/equipment
Pew Pew
112.125 (base damage + optimized EC + Laser Commander) + 75 (crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 2.5x
25% (Luck) + 12.5% (Finesse)+ 7.5% (Built to Destroy) + 12.5% (1st Recon Beret) + 12.5% (Ulysses Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) + 10% Laser Commander= 89%
Average damage per shot = 178.875 (base damage * (Crit Damage * crit chance)
Average DPS = 357.75
Pros:
Very high damage per shot
Very low weight
Holdout weapon
Cons:
Burns through ammo very quickly
Can only fire 2 shots per reload
Need to acquire 50 sunset sasparilla star bottlecaps to get it
Gatling Laser
19.435 (base damage + optimized ammo + laser commander + focus optics) + 15 (Crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Chance Multiplier = 0.02%
0.2% (10 Luck) + 0.1% (Finesse) + 0.0.6% (Built To Destroy) + 0.1% (1st Recon Beret) + 0.1% (Ulysses Duster) + 5% (Light Touch) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 10% (Laser Commander) = 19.56%
Average Damage per shot = 22.369
DPS = 671.07
Pros:
Highest DPS of all energy weapons
Lighter than Sprtl-Wood 9700 w/ CF frame
"Magazine" is amost 3x that of Sprtl-Wood
Benefits a lot from Rank 4 of Camarader-E
Plasma Caster
84.5 (Base Damage + Optimized MFC) + 97.5 (Crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 1x
10% (Luck) + 5% (Finesse) + 3% (Built to Destroy) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (1st Recon Beret) + 5% (Light Touch) + 5% (Ulysses Duster) = 32% Crit Chance
Average damage per shot = 115.7 (base damage * (Crit Damage * crit chance)
Average DPS (including High Speed Electrode = 433.875
Pros:
High damage per shot/DPS
Cons:
Heavy
High skill/strength requirements
Difficult to get in the early game
Relatively high spread
Q-35 Matter Modulator
52 (base damage + Optimized MFC) + 91 (Crit Damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 2x
20% (Luck) + 10% (Finesse)+ 6% (Built to Destroy) + 10% (1st Recon Beret) + 10% (Ulysses Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) = 65%
Average damage per shot = 111.15 (base damage * (Crit Damage * crit chance)
Average DPS = 266.76
Pros:
Low requirements
Can be acquired very early in the game
Cons:
Damage output is worse than other late-game energy weapons
Damage is very reliant on crits
Tesla-Beaton Prototype (Elijah's Jury-Rigged Tesla Cannon performs very similarly)
167 (base damage + Optimized ammo + damage over time effect 25/s over 2 seconds) + 67.5 (crit damage + better criticals) 19.23
Crit Multiplier 2x
20% (Luck) + 10% (Finesse)+ 6% (Built to Destroy) + 10% (1st Recon Beret) + 10% (Ulysses Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) = 65%
Damage per shot = 210.875
DPS = 105.4375 (if you wait for the lingering damage to have full effect), 177.099 (if you fire as fast as you can)
Pros:
High damage
Despite consuming 6 ammo per shot, it has a higher damage to ammo efficiency compared to other non-Tesla Cannon weapons that use ECP ammo
Cons:
High requirements
Need to wait two seconds between each shot to get max value out of the lingering damage effect
Low Health
Difficult to repair without Jury Rigging
Sprtl-Wood 9700
23.92 (base damage + optimized ammo + laser commander) + 24 (crit damage + better criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 0.04x
0.4% (10 Luck) + 0.2% (Finesse) + 0.12% (Built To Destroy) + 0.2% (1st Recon Beret) + 0.2% (Ulysses Duster) + 5% (Light Touch) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 10% (Laser Commander) = 20.12%
Damage Per Shot = 28.7488
DPS = 574.9476
Pros:
Extremely high DPS
Benefits a lot from Rank 4 of Camarader-E
More damage per shot than regular Gatling Laser
Lower strength requirement than Gatling Laser
Slightly more accurate than regular Gatling Laser
Green Laser
Cons:
Fairly heavy/heavier than Gatling Laser w/ CF Frame
Lower DPS than Gatling Laser
Significantly smaller "magazine"
Struggles against armored enemies and needs Max Charge cells to be effective against them
Expensive
Cons:
Struggles against armored enemies and needs Max Charge cells to be effective against them, even moreso than the Sprtl-Wood 9700
Higher strength requirement than Sprtl-Wood
Burns through ammo very quickly
YCS/186
182 (base damage + optimized MFC) + 105 (crit damage w/ Better Criticals)
Crit Multiplier = 2x
20% (Luck) + 10% (Finesse)+ 6% (Built to Destroy) + 10% (1st Recon Beret) + 10% (Ulysses Duster) + 4% (Set Lasers for Fun) + 5% (Light Touch) = 65%
Average damage per shot = 250.25
Average DPS = 108.80 (reloads after every shot, base reload speed is 2.3 seconds)
Pros:
Extremely high damage per shot
Very low spread
Scoped
Cons:
Reloads after every shot
Uses 4 MFC's per shot
Can only acquire if you don't have Wild Wasteland
Oh, and if you made it this far, skimmed through or jumped to this part, here's what I believe the max DPS achievable with the Gatling Laser is:
Base damage + max charge ammo + laser commander + focus optics + Psycho + Slasher + Rushing Water + Camrader-E + Lord of Death = 1986.169 DPS (lmk if I forgot anything)

2024.05.17 01:04 Marxist-Grayskullist Souls, A Primer

An old research paper reprinted in cheap textbooks:
Tibius Magdorus
Skingrad School of Julianos
4E 357
The nature of the soul has been a matter of debate among scholars and priests for millennia. However, recent research has brought us much closer to the truth of such matters, at least as the soul pertains to the old “white” and “black” divides. Indeed, many misconceptions must be rectified, and that is the purpose of this paper. First, however, some history needs to be established.
The original divide between white and black souls was devised by Vanus Galerion (2E 581) in order to combat the Order of the Black Worm by establishing legal “white” souls trapped from non-sapient beings and illegal “black” souls harvested from sapient beings. This has remained the “common knowledge” of souls even to this very day. It is, however, a purely political construct which bears little similarity to actually existing modern research. After all, Galerion’s old system of soul trapping defined the souls of Minotaurs as “white,” which would no doubt disturb our friends from Sancre Tor.
In modern terminology the “color” of a soul is not a matter of size or humanity, but content. White souls are raw Anuic creatia, formless and easily shaped by the psychomancer. All souls are white at birth; research performed by scholars at the University of Kragenmoor (Rallon et al., 4E 355) found that the souls of feti are not significantly different in substance from the soul of an ox or a goat, often weaker. Black souls are dense with psychic substance: as mortal souls absorb mythic pollution in the form of memories, emotion, knowledge, belief, daedrons, magicka and so on, the density increases, the soul becoming “darker.” This process is a spectrum, however, not the crude binary dated literature might lead you to believe. The most common “black” souls in usage, those of condemned prisoners, are not as dense as the souls of great mages; size is also known to be variable, mammoths and very old trolls often have souls as large as an average Dunmer or Nibenean (Adair et al., 4E 250).
In the past, necromancers erroneously believed black souls were inherently superior to white souls. Today enchanters and psychomancers have noted that both souls have drawbacks. White souls are generally useful for any kind of task, but are weak and therefore require a larger quantity for any given product. In contrast, black souls are much stronger but are specialized. Argonian souls, for example, produce more reliable water-breathing amulets and war veteran souls are more useful in combat-enhancing enchantments. Otherwise they are only about as powerful as a “grand” level white soul, sometimes weaker (see again, Adair et al., 4E 250).
Perhaps the most recent controversy in soul science has been the issue of “souldust,” the residual soul particulates which are emitted from ingenium workshops. They seem to have negative effects on overexposure; the Benevolence of Mara in Bravil (4E 356) reporting incidents of patients gaining memories of other lives, imbalanced emotions, dissociated identities, increased agitation, disturbing dreams, insomnia, and mental fatigue. A similar report found this “soul sickness” is disrupting natural ecosystems, killing plants and causing abnormal behavior in animals (Elisgan and Cassa, 4E 341). Counter arguments from the Chorrol Academy and the University of Skywatch refute this, insisting such diseases are more complex and souldust is a negligible variable (Doran, 4E 347; Larethal, 4E 350). May future research endeavor to clarify these mysteries and unlock the true potential of the soul.

2024.05.14 01:41 Aryec If a gun if California legal is it legal in all 50 states?

Hi there party people! I know a vast majority of users here may disagree with California’s gun laws. I am not here to talk about that. I’m looking at getting a CZ 457 Varmint for .22NRL. I was wondering if I got one, when I move would it be an issue if I moved to a more restrictive state? I currently live in Ohio so theres no issues with one here. It’s a .22LR cartridge, bolt action, magazine fed riffle. I know that California has restrictions on the capacity of magazines, as well as some other things. Having read the laws I don’t see any issue with it, but it never hurts to ask. I’m also thinking about getting a lever action henry to have fun with. Any advice is appreciated!
Edit: For clarification the lever action would probably be another .22LR or a 357 Mag

2024.05.13 19:17 Stinmaroc 92A1 or PX4 .40 cal?

I am looking for a full size gun (a go to war gun, if you will) to ride along with my CX4 storm in .40 cal. I can't decide between the PX4 or the 96A1.
With the 96A1 I'd definitely buy the EFK 357 sig barrel. Unfortunately, I don't think I can do that with the .40 cal PX4. I've looked everywhere for a 357 sig barrel for the PX4 but have had no luck.
On the other hand, I love the design of the PX4 and the engineering of the rotating barrel. Also, I wouldn't have to buy any adapter for my CX4 as it already takes PX4 magazines.
So I'm torn. Should I get the 96a1 and have fun shooting .40 cal and 357 sig? Or should I get the PX4 and limit myself to the .40 cal?
I want to hear y'all's opinions.
Edit: I kept referring to the '92a1'. I meant the 96a1.

2024.05.12 05:45 Gemman_Aster Atomic Shop items you can request through Bethesda Support

As always I shall try to keep this list updated at least once every four weeks until the post is again automatically locked after six months, preventing further edits.
In order to request any of these items you must go to the appropriate link for the Xbox Series X/S, Windows, PS5 or Steam. If you are playing on an older system it is simple to reach its page from one of these direct links. I am sure it goes without saying your player account must have sufficient Atoms available to pay for the item/s you choose. As part of the process Bethesda Support will respond to your request by ticket and email with the total cost of whatever you order.
This page from the Wikia entry for Fallout76 may help with working out some of the bundles' contents. I cannot swear for the accuracy of the data however as with all wikis it is community-created support material.
I have had quite a few comments asking how long you can expect to wait. The answer is that it varies. In my own experience I have had items redeemed for my character within two hours. I have also had to wait for more than a month. Much of the process seems to be automated now and I would say the average time these days seems between two to four days.

2024.05.12 00:08 top_gear446 Stuck cases (.357 magnum sierra)

Stuck cases (.357 magnum sierra)
First time shooting this particular brand of .357 mag and every single spent case from this box was stuck in the cylinder of my 686. I’ve not had this issue with any other magnum rounds so I’m wondering if this indicates these are loaded really hot (and maybe I shouldn’t keep shooting these?) or maybe some other issue with this brass?
I switched between S&B magnums and these and the S&B extracted smoothly, even falling out with just gravity. The sierra rounds required a hard tap (with a steel magazine) on the extractor to get them out.

FAQ

I live in Guatemala/Canada/Costa Rica/USA, why are you posting on a Saturday?!
Because I'm writing this from Europe in the future where it's already Sunday. Timezones be crazy.
Why are there a bunch of non-board games in the board game list?
Because the Tabletop games category on Kickstarter includes anything remotely related to board games and sometimes things slip through my filters.
Why is this future award winning board game and literal saviour of humanity missing from your list?
Sometimes my filters get a bit overzealous and discard actually valid projects. If you feel something is missing for this reason, leave a comment and I'll add it (maybe).
Can I donate all my money to you?
No
Can you help me promote my game?
Please no. I make lists. Nothing more.
Your list is full of errors and now Chrome is eating all my RAM!
Indeed, this fine piece of code runs purely on second-tier magic, so anything can happen. Leave a comment and I'll see what I can do.

Meet the Adco Super Thumb ST1 Double Stack Speedloader in black, an ingenious little gadget that has become a must-have in my routine when loading magazines. With a sleek black polymer construction, it's both practical and stylish. The internal dimensions are thoughtfully designed to fit a variety of magazines for different handguns.
One of the primary highlights is its ability to fit many different double stack. 40 and 9mm magazines, making it incredibly versatile. It's truly a game-changer when it comes to magazine loading, making the process quick and ease.
Using this speedloader has been a breeze for me. Whenever I'm preparing for range days or loading my favorite firearms, this gadget is right there to make my life easier. It's all about saving those precious thumb strength for the actual shooting, not for painstakingly loading magazines.
However, one downside was that it could be a bit of a hassle to keep track of just one more item to ensure you don't misplace it. Another minor issue was the initial learning curve, but once I got the hang of it, it became a piece of cake.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the benefits of using the Adco Super Thumb ST1 Double Stack Speedloader are evident. It's been a valuable addition to my firearm accessories and has made my life a whole lot more convenient.

I had the chance to give the Traditions Universal Fast Loader a try, and I must say, it was a game-changer for my muzzleloader. With the ability to hold pre-measured powder and projectiles, these nifty little tubes made my shooting experience much more efficient.
One of the standout features of the Traditions Universal Fast Loader was its versatility. It could be used with all calibers, making it a must-have accessory for any muzzleloader enthusiast. The loader is designed with a divider that separates the powder from the projectile, keeping everything in place and organized.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. The end caps were a bit loose, which led to some powder spillage. It was an easy fix, though, by wrapping some tape around the open mouth side to secure it better. Additionally, the pockets designed to hold the primer didn't work as well as I had hoped.
Despite these minor issues, the Traditions Universal Fast Loader proved to be an excellent addition to my muzzleloader kit. It saved me time and made my shooting sessions more enjoyable, and that's what really counts in the end. If you're in the market for a speed loader, give this one a try - you won't be disappointed.

I recently took my rifle to the range for a casual day of practice. I realized I needed a handier way to reload my magazines, and that's when the ADCO Super Thumb Loader came to my aid. It was a game-changer during my shooting session, making reloading quicker and easier than ever before. The loader is designed for 9mm-40S&W double stack magazines, which was a perfect fit for my firearm.
The loader's build quality is sturdy, ensuring it'll withstand the rigors of constant use. One thing I noticed was that it might take some time to get used to the loader's design, as it requires a bit of technique. But once you figure it out, the loader becomes an invaluable tool for efficiently reloading your magazines.
However, if you're planning on using it heavily, you may want to consider purchasing a spare or extra pair. While the loader's mechanism is durable, the constant use might wear it down faster than anticipated.
Overall, the ADCO Super Thumb Loader is an excellent addition to any shooter's toolkit, as it streamlines the reloading process and makes it more enjoyable. It's well worth considering for anyone looking to make their day at the range more convenient and efficient.

I recently tried the HKS Magazine Loader 380, a handheld thumb-operated speed loader that claims to make pistol loading fast and easy. As someone who isn't a fan of sore fingers or fatigue, I was intrigued to give it a go.
Immediately, I noticed the sleek design and how user-friendly it was. The magazine alignment was a breeze, and I didn't have to spend much time figuring it out. The speed at which it loaded magazines was impressive, with 15 rounds in just 18 seconds. I appreciated that it worked for both single and double stacks, and I didn't experience any finger strain while using it.
However, there were a few negatives that I discovered during my testing. The first issue was that it wasn't compatible with all firearm models, which made me question its true versatility. Additionally, shipping costs seemed to be quite high, which was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, my experience with the HKS Magazine Loader 380 was mostly positive. It made loading my magazines simple and painless, and I enjoyed not having sore fingers afterward. But there were a couple of drawbacks, like its compatibility with specific models and high shipping costs.

Recently, I had the chance to use the Maglula 9-45 Uplula Univ US Flag - a military-grade, pocket-sized universal pistol magazine loader and unloader. This handy tool is designed to load and unload almost all 9mm Luger up to. 45ACP single and double stack magazines of various manufacturers with ease. I found the UpLULA loader to be incredibly efficient and reliable, as it took significantly less time than traditional thumb loading methods.
One of the standout features of this product is its durable polymer construction, which ensures sturdy but pliable performance. It was a breeze to load and unload magazines of different calibers, including ones with stiff springs that would usually be quite challenging. The loader also worked with single and double stack magazines, making it a versatile tool for shooters.
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks that I noticed during my experience. Firstly, the device has a slight learning curve for new users, especially for those who are not familiar with pistol magazine loaders. And secondly, despite being incredibly well-designed, it's slightly bulkier than some other options available on the market.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Maglula 9-45 Uplula Univ US Flag to anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly magazine loader. Its versatility, durability, and ease of use make it an invaluable addition to any shooter's toolkit.

I recently had the chance to try out the HKS 10-A Revolver Speedloader and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. This handy little device is perfect for those who want to efficiently load their revolver with cartridges in no time. The design is simple yet effective: you just need to hold the cartridges in place with strong metal points and then release them into the revolver by turning the speedloader knob.
One thing that stood out to me is the versatility of this device. It fits various caliber. 38/357 revolvers, including S&W 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 64, 65, 66, 67; Dan Wesson/Charter Arms/Taurus 606, 65, 66, 80, 82; Rossi 971, 951, 851. And not only that, it's made right here in the USA.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. One minor issue I encountered was the difficulty in securing a full load into the device. To do so, I had to push in on the ammo and then turn the lock. But overall, the experience was positive, and the speedloader served its intended purpose.
In conclusion, the HKS 10-A Revolver Speedloader is a reliable and efficient tool for anyone looking to speed up their revolver's reloading process. It's user-friendly, versatile, and made in the USA. Just be prepared for a little effort when securing a full load.

🔗Reliable AK-47 Cleaning Kit for Precision Maintenance

https://preview.redd.it/6njd037perxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8bfe2a31529306f04facffaf2a034faab008d18d
Having used the Clenzoil AR-10/AK-47 Cleaning Kit myself, I must say that it's been quite the game-changer for maintaining the reliability and accuracy of my AR-10 or AK-47 style firearms. What stood out the most for me was its unique design, incorporating both a rod-driven and cable pull-through system to ensure a thorough cleaning.
One of the biggest positives for me was the inclusion of a. 30 Calibe7.62 mm bronze bore brush and an AR-10/AK-47 Chamber Brush. These brushes made the process of cleaning these guns much more efficient and effective than using any other cleaning kit I've tried in the past.
Another highlight was the 12 aluminum rod set, which came with a rod handle to make the cleaning process more ergonomic and efficient. The 36 pull-through cable, equipped with a scrubbing brush and a patch puller, made it easy to navigate through the gun's intricate parts.
The cotton patches and nylon water-resistant case were great additional features that kept everything organized and easily accessible. However, there were a few areas where the kit could be improved, such as the size of the case or the number of patches provided.
Overall, I found the Clenzoil AR-10/AK-47 Cleaning Kit to be an excellent tool for anyone looking to maintain the performance and longevity of their AR-10 or AK-47 style firearms.

I recently gave the Fett Affen Technologies 223/5.56 Caliber Cleaning Kit a try in my daily gun cleaning routine, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. The kit includes all the essentials you need to keep your firearm in top shape, and I was particularly impressed by the non-toxic and non-flammable cleaner and oil.
The star of the show for me was the Bore Viper cleaning rope, which made cleaning my firearm in the field a breeze. The Extreme Gun Lube was another winner, providing a high-quality synthetic grease that truly made a difference. The nylon brush, cotton swabs, and microfiber towels rounded out the kit nicely, and I appreciated the reclosable clamshell packaging for easy storage and access.
All in all, I'd say this kit was a game-changer for my gun maintenance routine. It's a steal for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to fellow gun enthusiasts looking for an all-in-one cleaning solution.

🔗Rugged RangeMaxx All-In-One Firearm Cleaning Kit for Various Firearms

The RangeMaxx All-In-One Firearm Cleaning Kit is an essential companion for gun enthusiasts. I recently used this kit on my shotgun, and I was impressed by its versatility. The kit contains everything you need, from slotted tips for smaller calibers like. 22 and shotguns to reliable cleaning solutions. The rugged case made of molded construction ensures that this kit is ready for action at all times.
The best part about this All-In-One kit is its ability to cater to a variety of users and their respective firearms, from rifles and handguns to shotguns. This makes it a perfect gift for gun enthusiasts like my husband who enjoys collecting and maintaining various firearms.
However, the all-in-one aspect can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it might take some practice to figure out which components to use for a specific cleaning task. Nonetheless, once you get the hang of it, the RangeMaxx All-In-One Firearm Cleaning Kit is a time-saving and reliable solution for all your firearm cleaning needs.

🔗Portable Gun Cleaning System for 5.56 mm Rifles from Real Avid

I recently tried out the Multi-Kit, 5.56 mm Real Avid Gun Boss Cleaning System, perfect for those times when I needed a quick, efficient clean without sacrificing thoroughness. The Bore Boss proved fantastic for a fast, superficial clean, while the included expanded gun cleaning kit provided me with all the tools necessary for a more in-depth job.
Organized in a smart and compact case, this Multi-Kit made traveling with it convenient. All the components stayed neatly in their spots when I needed to use them, and the case itself had a flat design when open, making it even easier to access.
The Bore Boss worked similarly to BoreSnake – I simply inserted the flexible wire into the barrel and pulled through, leaving behind brushes to remove even the most stubborn gunk. Unlike BoreSnake, however, the Bore Boss had an ergonomic handle designed to make cleaning a breeze. Additionally, I appreciated the bore mop only appearing after the brushes, ensuring a more tailored and efficient clean.
It seems Real Avid genuinely understands the needs of those who enjoy hunting and shooting. They approach product development with an aim to solve real problems while keeping an eye on their passion - life off the grid. Although this Multi-Kit had mixed reviews from other users, I personally found the product to be both efficient and practical, making it a worthwhile investment for any hunter or shooter.

I've had the pleasure of using the Birchwood Casey AR-15 Cleaning Kit for a few weeks now, and I must say, it has made my life as a gun owner much easier. The 22-piece kit is truly comprehensive and includes everything I need to maintain my AR-15 in the best possible condition.
The first thing that caught my eye was the custom handle designed specifically for the AR-15. It fits perfectly in my hand, providing a comfortable grip while I clean. I was also impressed by the high-quality brushes included in the kit; they're made from durable materials that ensure they'll last.
One of the best aspects of this cleaning kit is the reusable hard case with an organize tray. It's perfect for storing the kit when not in use and ensures that all the cleaning pieces stay together. The case lid even doubles as a parts tray, which is a thoughtful addition.
However, the weight of the kit, at 0.9 lb, may be a bit of a downside for some users. But overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Birchwood Casey B/C AR-15 Cleaning Kit to any AR-15 owner looking for an easy-to-use, reliable, and effective cleaning solution. It's a true workhorse in the world of cleaning kits.

🔗TCP Global Professional Gun Cleaning Toolbox

Being a reviewer, I decided to give the TCP Global Professional 23 Piece Spray Gun Cleaning Kit a try. The kit arrived well-organized in a compact carrying case. The variety of brushes and cleaning tools made it easy to tackle every nook and cranny of my paint spray gun.
My favorite feature has to be the aluminum holder for the mini end brushes. It's perfect for keeping them neat and tidy during use. Another highlight was the range of sizes for the flexible tube cleaning brushes. They made it simple to clean both the fluid and air inlets, as well as the gun body.
One minor drawback was the lack of a pouch or something similar for storage. The compact case is great, but a separate pouch would have made transportation even easier. However, that doesn't take away from the overall quality and usefulness of this cleaning kit. I found myself reaching for it anytime I needed to clean my spray gun.
So, if you're looking for an affordable and efficient set of tools to keep your paint spray gun in top shape, this TCP Professional 23 Piece Spray Gun Cleaning Kit is definitely worth considering.

🔗Comprehensive Gun Cleaning Toolbox for 338/8.58 Caliber Firearms

I recently put the Gun-Werkz. 338/8.58 Cal. Cleaning Kit to the test, and I must say it's a game-changer for firearm enthusiasts. The kit has everything you need to keep your gun in pristine condition, from a potent 4 ounces of Gun-Werkz gun cleaner, to the essential Ultra Gun Oil. But that's not all, it also comes with the handy. 338/8.58 caliber Bore Viper cleaning rope for convenience on-the-go cleaning sessions.
One unique feature is the Extreme Gun Lube - a top-tier synthetic grease that ensures smooth operation and durability. The kit also includes other nifty items like a double-ended G. I. brush, a plethora of cotton swabs, and premium Micro Fiber towels. All in all, this kit is a lifesaver for anyone who values good gun maintenance. The best part? If you were to buy these items separately, you'd pay over $85.00. But thanks to the Gun-Werkz kit, everything you need is now accessible at one low price.

🔗All-Inclusive Gun Cleaning Toolbox for Removable Trays and Multiple Calibers

Cleaning and maintaining a handgun or rifle isn't always the most enjoyable task, but with the Allen Gun Center Tool Box Cleaning Kit, it certainly became more manageable during my time as a hunter. The kit comes equipped with two 3-piece cleaning rods, perfect for cleaning everything from a. 22 to a 12 gauge. And with a variety of bronze bore brushes, cotton swab brushes, and brass jags in all different sizes, I could easily clean most common rifle, pistol, and shotgun calibers. The kit also featured a pick and brush set, proving to be a handy addition during my cleaning process.
However, there were a few cons that came with using this kit. The trays weren't the easiest to clean, as grease was a persistent issue. Despite this, the pullout drawers were a great feature for organizing different sized cleaning patches and small bottles of cleaning solvent or oil. And although the trays weren't the most sturdy, they got the job done during the cleaning process.
Overall, the Allen Gun Center Tool Box Cleaning Kit made the daunting task of cleaning firearms much more manageable. Now, I had a kit that provided me with all I needed to service the most widely used firearm caliber. If you're looking for a high-quality and efficient gun cleaning toolbox, this kit is undoubtedly worth investing in.

🔗Professional Glock Cleaning Toolpack

I've been using the Real Avid Pro Pack for Glock in my daily life, and I must say it's been a life-saver. The Gun Boss PRO Handgun cleaning kit has been my go-to for easy, hassle-free cleaning of my Glock. The Smart Mat for Glock is a genius addition, providing a protective surface for my firearm while also providing helpful disassembly guides for newbies like me.
However, there's one little drawback - the Mag Tool for Glock could use some improvements. Sometimes, it seems a bit hard to disassemble the magazine, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience this tool offers. Overall, the Real Avid Pro Pack for Glock is an excellent investment for any Glock-wielder - it's like having your own personal gunsmith at your fingertips!

🔗Premium Gun Cleaning Toolbox with Slotted Tips for Various Firearms

I've been using the RangeMaxx Firearm Master Cleaning Kit for a few months now, and it's been quite the experience. First off, the drawer-style toolbox with 3 drawers and an adjustable top section made organizing all my cleaning tools a breeze. It was a great way to keep track of everything I needed for my arsenal.
However, there were a couple of things that bugged me. The cheap plastic quality of the toolbox was a disappointment, and I was not a fan of the flimsy latches. Opening the drawers was a bit of a struggle as well. I wished they were sturdier and more secure.
But overall, I found the RangeMaxx Master Cleaning Kit to be a handy tool for keeping my firearms clean and well-maintained. It's a useful investment for any gun enthusiast. Just be aware that the quality might not be up to par with your expectations.

🔗Convenient Handgun Maintenance Toolbox

https://preview.redd.it/0ey2uwnwerxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b8c6b1b8196acee281323c18b6c486f62d3bdfe
Being a gun enthusiast, I was always on the lookout for a convenient way to maintain and clean my handgun at home or at the range. That's why the Real Avid Handgun Maintenance Pack was a game-changer for me. This versatile toolbox has everything I need to keep my. 22 to. 45 caliber pistols in tip-top shape.
One of the features that stood out for me is the included Smart Mat, which protects my gun and ensures cleanliness during the cleaning process. Not only does it keep my work surface spotless, but it also adds a layer of protection to my handgun.
The Pistol Tool included in the pack is another highlight. It made breakdown, modification, and troubleshooting of my handgun at the range much more efficient. I could easily disassemble my handgun for cleaning and quickly reassemble it for use.
While I found the Real Avid Handgun Maintenance Pack to be a valuable tool in my gun-cleaning routine, there were a couple of drawbacks. First, the package could have benefited from a more comprehensive user manual, as I had to figure out how to use some of the tools on my own. Additionally, the price point is on the higher side, which might be a deterrent for some gun owners.
Overall, the Real Avid Handgun Maintenance Pack proved to be a smart investment for keeping my handguns well-maintained and clean. Although it has a few areas for improvement, it remains one of the most convenient and time-saving tools in my gun-cleaning arsenal.

🔗Efficient Bore Cleaning Kit for 9mm Firearms - Speed Brush and Jag/Patch System

https://preview.redd.it/36mqtu1xerxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1bae23030d0d5d20e5d7c82fd39d046e5a9b16b7
As a pistol enthusiast, I recently had the chance to try out the Real Avid Bore-Max Speed Clean Kit, specifically designed for 9mm caliber firearms. To my surprise, the product met my expectations and even proved to be more effective than traditional bore cleaning tools.
Upon receiving the kit, it was evident that it offered an all-in-one upgrade system for faster and more efficient bore cleaning. I was particularly impressed by the Bore-Max Speed Brush, which featured twice the bristle density of conventional brushes. This increased density undeniably made it twice as effective in agitating the barrel surface, preparing it for the Speed Jag and Patch combination.
Although it might seem like a minor update, the Speed Jag and Patch performed remarkably well. They managed to remove up to four times the carbon and copper as shorter, traditional jags and square patches, significantly speeding up the bore cleaning process. Cleaning bores has never been so efficient and user-friendly.
On the downside, I did notice that the product might not be entirely compatible with all pistol brands and models. Additionally, some users mentioned having issues with the cleaning brushes, as they seemed to shed tiny steel bristles, which could potentially cause damage to the firearm's finish.
In conclusion, the Real Avid Bore-Max Speed Clean Kit is a solid choice for 9mm pistol owners who demand efficiency and convenience when it comes to bore cleaning. While there are a few potential drawbacks to consider, the pros of this kit certainly outweigh its cons for many enthusiasts.

🔗Real Avid Prime-9 9mm Cleaning Kit: Premium Handgun Maintenance System

https://preview.redd.it/6kp5o4fxerxc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb35bf35a7d15c9310d20436b9236fc889ed5d77
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Real Avid Prime-9 Cleaning Kit 9mm, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As a regular gun enthusiast, I found the precision and care put into this product remarkable.
It's easy to carry and all the tools fit perfectly into place. With this kit, I could thoroughly clean my 9mm firearm without any hassle. The T-handle made cleaning simple and effortless.
However, I noticed that the gun cleaning kit didn't come with any oil. Other than that, I highly recommend this cleaning kit to anyone looking for a top-notch option.

🔗.223 Caliber Rifle Cleaning Kit for Universal Guns

In my quest for a reliable cleaning kit for my 5.56mm rifle, I stumbled upon the LFG-901-556 Lawman Series Cleaning Kit by Otis Cleaning Systems. This versatile kit is designed to offer various cleaning methods for different rifle models, and I couldn't wait to try it out.
Upon opening the kit, I was impressed by its well-organized compartments, housing everything I needed for a thorough, one-pass clean to a full breakdown. The Ripcord cleaner provided a quick and efficient method for reaching those hard-to-reach areas, while the solid rods and Memory-Flex cables ensured a thorough Breech-to-Muzzle clean.
The 100% cotton patches and brass components not only performed exceptionally well but also added a touch of class to the otherwise functional cleaning kit. However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. The instructions could have been more explicit, particularly for first-time users, and the packaging was quite bulky compared to the compact nature of the kit itself.
Despite these minor hiccups, I found the Lawman Series Cleaning Kit to be an excellent investment for maintaining the performance and longevity of my 5.56mm rifle. With its versatility, high-quality components, and user-friendly design, I would highly recommend it to fellow rifle enthusiasts.

2024.04.30 19:57 Lord_Long_Rod Terrifying Bigfoot Encounter I Recently Investigated

About an hour south of my residence there was a recent sighting. A middle aged husband and wife live in a mobile home on about 10 acres of land out in the country. About 50 yards directly behind their home is a cypress swamp that stays filled with water yearlong, save for times of drought. The best I can tell, the swamp and woods go on back a long way, perhaps several hundred acres. My clients’ property line ends at the swamp. I do not know the owner of the swamp and woodlands, but the paint on the trees tells me that it is marked for timber harvest. The owner has clearly sold timber rights to a third party.
The report goes like this. The husband and wife were in their living room around 10:00 pm on a weeknight watching TV. There was scratching on the side of the house, as if someone or something was dragging its claws along the side of the house. It was loud enough to cause concern. It was also way out of place, as the couple lives a half mile away from their nearest neighbor.
The husband fetched his 12 gauge shotgun, loaded it, and went outside to investigate while the woman stayed in the house. The husband walked all the way around the house but saw nothing. He went back inside.
No more than 10 minutes after the husband first went outside, and both he and his wife settled back in their living room, there was a loud bang on the side of their house outside the kitchen. The wife and husband both jumped up immediately, startled by the loud sound. The husband grabbed his still loaded shotgun and angrily went back outside to investigate. At this point their mindset was that someone was outside their house “messing with” them.
The wife again stayed inside the house. After a moment she decided she wanted to look out the living room window to see if she could see anything. The living room lights were on, as was their television. Therefore, there was a substantial reflection on the window that prevented her from clearly seeing out the window. Instead of turning off the lights, the wife decided to move closer to the window, almost putting her nose against it.
As she tried to see out the window, she noticed something strange. It was like something was covering up the window from the outside. Her first thought was that maybe a black trash had blown up against the window, preventing her from seeing out. She then leaned in closer and squinted her eyes.
Suddenly, what was blocking the living room window moved. In fact, it turned sideways, from right to left, and there it was: a Sasquatch face staring right at the wife, only inches away from her face. Apparently, the creature was already standing at the window but it’s head was turned toward the back of the trailer, presumably because it heard the husband approaching. When the wife tried looking through the window, the view was obscured by the left side of its head. Then it turned and suddenly she was face-to-face with the horror outside her home.
The wife screamed. The creature reportedly remained for a moment, looking at her, then left. The wife described the face as resembling a large, black gorilla with a terrifying grimace. When the husband heard his wife scream, he ran back to the front door and entered his home. He found his wife staring at the window with her hands clasping her face. She was in shock. It took several moments for her husband to get anything out of her about what she saw.
After a little bit, the woman told her husband what happened and what she saw. The woman never calmed down, though. The man decided to drive her to the emergency room at the nearest hospital. She was treated for acute hypertension and told to follow up with her regular doctor. The shock was so terrible it had apparently caused her blood pressure to spike.
The wife did not want to go right back home, so they got a hotel room that night. In fact, the wife refused to immediately return home. She stayed with her sister (who lived a half-hour away) for a week. The husband, however, returned home and stayed there for that week. Aside from some strange night time vocalizations, nothing of any significance occurred.
The wife finally returned home. She was still somewhat fearful, but had also started second-guessing her sighting and perception of what she saw. They settled in and have not had any encounters since that night. They report to sometimes hearing odd animal sounds out in the swamp. But they admit that their encounter changed their perspectives and they are now much more cognizant of their surroundings.
I was referred to the clients by a common acquaintance. The foregoing account is based upon information I collected from them. In addition, I was allowed to examine their property, including the mobile home. The clients had no authority to grant me access onto the swamp land, as they do not hold title to said land.
I entered the swamp land anyway, doing an initial survey. It was a typical cypress swamp. Roughly 50-60% of the surface area is covered in dark water. The canopy was very thick. I decided to forego any deep sojourn without my snake boots and being armed.
I thanked the clients for sharing their story with them and told them I would like to come back for a night investigation. They both agreed to allow me access to their land the following night. They reiterated that they cannot give me access to the adjoining swamp land since they did not own the property.
Sunset the following night was scheduled for 8:46 p.m. I arrived at the clients’ homestead at approximately 8:30 p.m. As I was getting ready for my night investigation the husband came out to meet me in his driveway. I immediately noticed a curious change in his attitude.
The husband asked me what I was planning to do with all my gear. I told him that I was outfitted with my usual gear for a Sasquatch hunt, to wit: an AR-10 rifle (my primary killing piece for Bigfoot); a 12 gauge pump shotgun with high capacity magazine, loaded with high-velocity 1 ounce slugs; a 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun for snakes; my .480 Ruger revolver in a shoulder rig; a Glock M40 10mm pistol in a paddle holster on my right hip, and a Colt Delta Elite 10mm 1911 pistol in a paddle holster on my left hip; a Smith 686 .357 magnum revolver in a holster on my gun belt, which was on my waist; a couple of fixed blade tactical knives and a machete hanging from my belt; a few improvised munitions and homemade grenades hanging on the front of my camo tactical vest; a tac hat with mosquito netting; night vision glasses on my head; painted face; full camo clothing; tactical operator gloves, snake boots; and a Stihl chainsaw painted jungle camo on a sling over my shoulder (for sawing up Sasquatch corpses for transport).
I can only assume that the client’s striking change of attitude was the result of the federal government interjecting their agents into this matter. I began interrogating the client about this prospect, and advising him of the dangers posed by the government agents. The client resisted my interrogation. This seemed to confirm my concern.
I was just about to transition to some “enhanced interrogation techniques” when my hunting partner, “Big Dick”, pulled up in his F250. The client wanted to know who he was, so I told him. I then briefed him on what was going to take place tonight as BD prepped himself.
The client then became unruly. BD noticed the commotion and came to my side. The fact that he was carrying a Barrett .50 BMG rifle seemed to further upset the client. I informed BD that the client is in cahoots with the federal government. The client protested my assertion. The client then ordered us off his property and threatened to contact local law enforcement.
Eventually, I agreed to terminate my arrangement with the client. I told him that he would still be billed for my services to date. This was not greeted well. However, BD reinforced my statement by killing the former client’s truck with his .50 BMG and a well placed shot through the engine block.
The man again protested us being on his property. I informed him that we were leaving his property, and entering the swamp behind his house. BD and I parked our truck across the road and cut around the former client’s property to access the swamp. Our hunt was now underway.
We went approximately 2.2 miles into the swamp following a more-or-less straight line. We traveled slowly, using a stop-and-go approach and spread out approximately 50 meters from each other. We heard nothing and encountered no sign. At 1:30 a.m. we began Plan B, which consisted of an onslaught of calls and other methods to attract a Sasquatch. This tactic ended at approximately 3:30 a.m. without positive results.
At this point BD and I consulted. We reached 2 possible conclusions. First, the former clients encounter with the beast frightened it off. In other words, once the monster saw the woman looking at it, it’s identity had been made; the Bigfoot has been caught. Therefore, for self-preservation it left the area, either permanently or temporarily.
Second, the beast knows it was made and is just laying low. If this is the case, then the beast is still out there. Knowing that we would realize no success in the first instance, we decided to use the remainder of the night trying to flush out the animal assuming that the animal is still there but is laying low.
BD and I devised the following plan. I would immediately return to the former clients’ property. BD would wait at the current location. At a pre-agreed time, BD would start moving forward to my position, during which he will begin triggering his incendiary devices and starting a raging wildfire. The goal, of course, is to drive the animal out of the swamp and out into the open downrange, where I would be waiting in ambush to effect a kill shot. Because of the thick forest and swamp, we felt that the animal, if still present, will be bottlenecked onto the property of the former client’s in its escape from the flames.
Due to recent drought conditions the trees and brush sparked like a box of gasoline-soaked matches. The wildfire raged fast and hot. I had set up under the former client’s mobile home, with my rifle pointed toward the swamp and ready to fire.
I heard and smelled the wildfire before I saw it. At first, it appeared as lights through the trees. Then, after just a few minutes, it was a hellish inferno. It was also headed toward my position fast.
I waited as long as I could before falling back to a safer position. Finally, I could wait no longer. As the blaze reached the edge of the former clients’ property, it became clear that BD had fucked up and let the wildfire get out in front of him.
I was sitting on the hood of the former clients’ Toyota Highlander, watching the fire, smoking a cigar, and resting my AR-10 across my lap, when the man and his wife rushed out of their home in their bedclothes. They were in a panic. While they were no longer my clients, I tried to calm them by pointing out that the fire stopped at their property line because he had cut all his trees down.
It was just about then that we heard this terrible howling coming from inside the conflagration. I said it out loud: “That’s him, boys! Sasquatch is coming out!” I took position at the side of the couple’s home and aimed at the swamp. Suddenly, this humanoid creature ran out of the swamp on two legs and into the couple’s backyard. It was on fire and clearly in pain.
I opened fire on the biped. The burst and spray of red liquid out of its head told me that my first shot was on target. I then flipped my rifle to full-auto and dumped the rest of my mag indiscriminately into my target.
Unexpectedly, there was a big explosion, then another. Fire and flaming debris launched from the body. I, unfortunately, knew almost instantly what had happened. “Holy shit”, I said, “I just shot Big Dick!” Apparently, one or more of my bullets activated BD’s incendiary grenades! BD was blown to bits, throwing flaming debris, flesh, and shrapnel everywhere... including onto the former clients and their home.
At this point I will merely report that I managed to successfully extract myself from this situation, with no living witnesses remaining. As I was speeding off from the scene, I was channel surfing on Sirius/XM. I finally settle on Ozzy’s Boneyard, which is playing Iron Maiden’s “Rime Of The Ancient Mariner”. I cranked it, then looked up to the road.
I immediately swerved to miss a giant creature traversing the road in front of me. It was a goddamn Bigfoot! It most likely was on the move due to BD’s forest fire. I stopped and back up to where I last saw it. But unsurprisingly, it was gone. I knew there was no point of even going after one off a roadside sighting. They will belly crawl all over the forest floor, like a spider, and crawl down into a ditch or something to hide. You will walk all over and around it and never know it was there.
I put my truck in gear and drove home. I do not know if this creature was the same Bigfoot that was harassing my late clients. In the grand scheme of things, though, it does not matter. They are here. Reported sightings just allow us to pinpoint locations in order to increase our chances of bagging one.
With the fire and the couple’s sighting, this creature will move on. Therefore, this case file is closed.

2024.04.29 22:20 Ultim8_Lifeform Respect Ryo Saeba! (City Hunter)[Manga]

Ryo Saeba

(Alternate Header Image 1 2)
"You pulled off a shrewd plan, I applaud you for that. But you made one mistake. You showed me the tears of a woman. And now you have to pay the price for it."
Anyone who has spent considerable time in Tokyo, or Japan as a whole for that matter, may have heard rumors about the blackboard in Shinjuku station. They say that if you have a problem and can't go to the police, all you have to do is write a note with the letters XYZ at the end and wait for the mysterious City Hunter to come and find you. However, pretty much anyone that's done this will tell you that the City Hunter isn't exactly the man you might expect.
At the incredibly young age of three years old, Ryo Saeba was traveling with his parents when their plane crashed in a country in Central America that was in the middle of a civil war. Being the sole survivor, Ryo wandered the jungle for days until he stumbled upon a village of guerilla fighters that were battling their country's government. The guerillas would only accept warriors that could fight with them, so Ryo joined their ranks in order to survive. They taught him everything they knew about fighting, weapons, and warfare until Ryo grew to be one of the most dangerous men on the battlefield. However, the government forces eventually overwhelmed them, chasing the guerillas out of the country. Now an adult, Ryo made his way to the United States and opted to become a sweeper, a mercenary/bounty hunteprivate detective that performs off the books jobs to clean up the filthy criminal underworld. Partnering with Mick Angel, another sweeper and one of his best friends, Ryo formed the team known as City Hunter.
At some point, Ryo left the US and returned to Japan, the country of his birth, where he kept the City Hunter name for himself and continued doing sweeper work with a new partner, ex-detective Hideyuki Makimura. Ryo's reputation spread rapidly, becoming known as one of the most dangerous men in the criminal underworld. So what's the problem? Well, he does have one weakness: Beautiful women. Despite his upbringing, Ryo is a goofy pervert and womanizer that would only accept jobs from the prettiest women around if he had his way. For awhile, he had Makimura to keep him in check, but his partner would meet a tragic end after refusing a job from a powerful drug syndicate, giving Ryo the dying request of looking after his little sister Kaori. Initially planning to help Kaori get out of the city, Ryo was surprised to find that Kaori wanted to take her brother's place as Ryo's assistant/partner and continue the work he thought was so important. Together, they became the newest iteration of City Hunter, sweeping the streets of Japan of evil and assisting any beautiful women that requested their services.
While his methods may be questionable, rest assured that the City Hunter always sees a job through no matter what criminal organizations, serial killers, or assassins stand in his way.

2024.04.28 19:37 SerAnakin First Emergency Life-Saving Rescue Tool

First Emergency Life-Saving Rescue Tool
WARNING this will be a long post and I might be all over the place. Sorry about my grammar.
Hello! This post is about my first firearm purchase and experience so far after 30 days of ownership.
A little backstory: Just over one month ago I took an NRA Basic Pistol Course. That was the first time I ever discharged a firearm and I enjoyed the class overall very much. My reason for getting into firearms was for self-defense/home defense due to the turmoil and overall rough economic and social situation in America.
After the class, I rented a Canik Mete SF, a CZ P10-C, a Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 4", a Shield Plus 4" Performance Center, and a Sig Sauer P320 (not sure which model specifically). I wanted something that was state-compliant, concealable, but also large enough to be easy to shoot & cheap to feed, hence the 9mm/15rd/~4" barrel. It was most difficult to shoot the Shield Plus and I didn't like the factory extended mag, but I liked the M&P9 the most, primarily for the grip texture but overall it felt pretty good, and definitely has the most robust history as far as duty use and reliability. It had the new non-hinged trigger which functioned great but looked weird and felt plastic-y. The Sig Sauer was noticeably fastest to re-acquire the sights after each shot, it went right back on target, and I did shoot best with it but not by much. I decided against it due to some reported safety issues and the CZ was really good too but I liked it less than the other three (the 4" Performance Center was a no-go, until I become more experienced at least). I shot second-best with the Canik but I think it was more snappy than everything except the Shield Plus.
Initially I was pretty set on the M&P9 due to the amazing reliability, but did more research and made a compromise. I chose the much less expensive Canik TP9 SF Elite which I think is the downgraded/older version of the Mete SF. Having duty use in the Turkish Air Force and the Turkish National Police, I expected it to be fairly reliable and capable. Having magazine compatibility with my friend was a nice bonus and I preferred the looks of the proportions of a slightly longer barrel/slide compared to the CZ and S&W, as well as the slide release lever. I actually ended up not using the slide release during live fire because I was taught to rack the slide since its a gross motor skill compared to a fine motor skill of using your thumb. Also, knowing myself, if I got the Mete SF, I would have an optic by now and I am poor, so that isn't something I wanted to do at this time.
Before buying ammo or anything else, I bought a Blacksmith 5-gun safe ($216 shipped). The safe is primarily to prevent kids or other untrained guests from having access to whats inside, and also gives me some room to grow. The biometric unlock works very fast, and it has key code and manual key unlock as well. I bolted it to the floor & wall so that it won't tip over and hurt anyone. I do think it should have thicker steel but it was cheap and I'll make do for now. I used the price difference from the S&W (~$300) to take a Defensive Pistol I & II course. Having a serviceable holster in the box right away was a nice touch as it let me take those classes without having to find the right holster in a hurry and spending more money. After those classes, I bought two extra OEM magazines ($77 shipped), as well as a 3-pack adjustable magazine carrier ($21 on Amazon), and a Nexbelt ($55) since that is what my local store had and I needed a belt for the practice competition match on the next day. I actually like this belt a lot but can't compare to anything. I wore it for a whole work day and the practice match. It was very comfortable, held onto my mag carriers and holster without any issues.
After unboxing and doing an initial cleaning and lubrication, I put 1,100 rounds of FMJ brass (115gr & 124gr) from 5 different manufacturers (Blazer, Fiocchi, Remington, Winchester, and Sellier & Bellot) as well as 10 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense 135gr (just to see if they would feed properly). I had zero malfunctions or failures aside from what I believe to be two user-induced errors. The first was early on when I short-stroked the trigger. Once I let it out completely and pulled the trigger again it fired. The second was last week, either I accidentally pushed the mag release after drawing from the holster or the magazine was improperly seated and it hung out half-way after firing one round. It did not fall to the floor. I re-insterted it, racked the slide, and it functioned flawlessly after that. Something to note is that my friend bought a Canik SFX Rival before I got mine, and we took it to the range straight out of the box, no cleaning or lubrication, and in the first 150 rounds it had like 4 or 5 malfunctions, mostly failure to eject I think. After we cleaned and lubricated it, we put 200 rounds through it with no issues. He tried installing an optic (Holosun) but the head of one of the OEM Canik screws broke and he had to send it to a Gunsmith but has not got it back yet after two weeks. I really liked his Rival and did not mind the gaudy gray/gold scheme it had going on. It's just too big for concealed carry and I wanted something that could flex into that role. It's also much more expensive.
Now, the TP9 SF Elite is good, but I wish it had better texture on the frame and am considering getting a set of granulated Talon grips. I think the trigger is fine but am not experienced enough to really comment on that. I did like the single action trigger on the Ruger GP101 revolver that I shot in the NRA Basic Pistol Course more than any other trigger I've tried so far. I did notice that early on the Canik had like one or two spots on the take-up which felt like a wall, but the actual wall was more defined. I don't really notice these "fake walls" anymore, and I didn't check if they are still there or if they smoothed out after all the rounds I've put through it. I really like the fiber optic front/blacked out rear sights much more than the 3 white dot sights that most other handguns seem to have. The magazine release is nicely textured and easy to reach/press, and all the magazines drop freely to the ground when doing reloads. I think the only improvement here could be an extended mag release, but that might have issues with accidental presses. A flared magwell like the Mete SF or Rival would be awesome too. I don't have big hands but after 600 rounds I switched to the larger backstrap in the box because I preferred the more aggressive texture and it allowed me to get more contact with my support hand.
One big issue for me was that a part of the tang/beavertail was making contact with my strong hand thumb knuckle (the joint that connects to my hand, not the end joint). This actually bruised that area after a particularly long day at the range. I had this same issue with both the CZ and the S&W that I rented, making that spot noticeably sore. I recently tried a slightly different grip after 900rds and it no longer makes contact with that part of my thumb and my accuracy is pretty much the same. I think this is a "me-problem" because two other people tried it out and I asked them specifically about that issue and neither person experienced it. I am right-handed but according to one of my instructors, I am left-eye dominant. I've been shooting the whole time with my left eye closed. Just recently tried shooting with both eyes open, and I'm no longer shooting to the left, so that's something I want to practice more because I'm very slow with this method. I do focus on the front sight and not the target, and I think I should change that as well.
That about sums up my first month of firearm ownership. Everyone is so helpful and super nice and it's a wonderful community. I can't afford to do as much live-fire practice as I did this past month, but I plan to start doing dry-fire practice soon. I want to get a .357 revolver, but they are so expensive for what would essentially just be a range toy or maybe a backup tool if I get something small. I wish I could buy an AR-15 pattern rifle or a PCC, but it's currently illegal in my state and I want to remain a law-abiding citizen so I hope this situation changes. For now, I am very satisfied with my purchase and overall experience in the classes and at the range, and I hope to make improvements in all aspects. I saw the Canik Rival trigger is available on the Canik website and didn't know if that would be good for a concealed carry. Any and all tips, suggestions, and advice are welcome and appreciated, and thank you for reading this essay lol

Single Action Saturday
My 9mm Blackhawk
I call it the 9mm Blackhawk because the 357 "convertible " cylinder has been in it once, years ago and is now buried in my safe probably never to be used again
I use magazines as speedloaders, and use a Blackhawk brand (ironically ) holster for range fun.
It's not gonna win any 25 yard Bullseye matches with the 9mm being less than pinpoint accurate in the 357 bore but it shoots well enough at 10-15 to be fun with cheap(er) Magtech steel case
I used to put tons of Tulammo through this, when that stuff was dirt cheap, I used this gun as basically a centerfire 22 just for plinking. I can't even count how many cases of that stuff I've put through this
I took it to an indoor range a while back ,guys like "what calibers you shooting, I just need to ask " I'm like 9mm He's like what's in the case ya gotta Glock or some such? I pull out the case and open it "Ruger Blackhawk " Those don't use 9mms they're 357s!!? It's a convertible Oh....yeah ....ok
It throws people off when you say you brought " a 9" and pull out a thumb buster
