Bio: Val Armorr was the son of Japan's greatest crimelord, Kirau Nezumi, also known as Black Dragon, When he was born, his mother, the American secret agent Valentina Armorr, tried to hide him from his father, but she failed and was killed for her affront. Japan's biggest hero Sensei Toshiaki, the White Crane, eventually killed Black Dragon for his crimes and adopted the infant Val. He raised Val as if he were his own son, and trained him in all manner of the martial arts.

For your consideration is a 2019 era GHK Colt M4A1 Block 2, with correct trades / license. Only reason for selling is to cover a special acquisition that I just had to move on. Putting this up for sale at a very commensurate value for someone interested in a high quality GBBR. All of the work done on the gun was by a professional airsoft gunsmith.
-Upgraded to Maple Leaf super jet barrel & hop (original GHK barrel & hop will be included).
-Shoots like a laser beam with .36 bb’s. That seems to be the favoured weight, given as well that she is shooting hot, at 440 fps (with .20) - i don’t game. Just plink cans & enjoying getting started in this hobby.
-Bolt has adjustable NPAS installed, so no problem if you want to dial the power down accordingly.
-Geisele charging handle
-Also: installed (not pictured) is a surefire 4 prong flash hider, and knights armament back up iron sights, kac vert forgrip.

I’ve only told a few people about this incident that took place in the late 80s. I’m not looking for an explanation nor can I offer any proof; I just want to share what my friend and I experienced in the autumn of 1987.
I grew up in one of the northernmost states in New England, about two hours away from the White Mountains and 45 minutes from our state’s meager coastline, in a small working class city (General Electric and a tannery were two of the largest employers). I think it was early October: leaves starting to change but still on the trees, local fairs underway, and cool enough to rock my HS varsity jacket. I worked full time and was saving up for my first car; a ‘76 two-door Chevy Nova festooned with a Pink Floyd tapestry to cover the huge tear in the back seat.
My friend, Joe, and I worked in the same restaurant and an older cook would buy us hard earned libations and give us a ride home. Really, he would drop us off at a cemetery that was the mid way point between our two houses and a great place for underage drinking. We were dropped off there with a 4 pack of Bartles and James wine coolers to split between us.
It’s an old, large cemetery with rolling hills, moss covered headstones, and large maple trees. I grew up playing hide and seek and having BB gun wars there. I even taught an Army buddy how to drive stick in that cemetery. It was never a scary or “haunted” place to me. Even after the weirdest experience of my young life took place there.
There was a gazebo where we would sit and drink beers/wine coolers. It was open aired with half walls and benches to sit on while we chatted and drank. All we had between us was that one four pack so we were not drunk or under the influence of anything else. We began hearing footsteps coming in our direction. They sounded like someone walking in leaves. It later occurred to me that that was the first thing that was odd as the leaves were still on the trees and the cemetery was well maintained.
“Cops”, Joe hissed and I answered “kids”. The footsteps came closer. We couched below the half-wall facing each other; the smiles on our faces growing more and more nervous until they disappeared altogether. The footsteps came at a measured pace. No other sound accompanied them: no jingling of keys, no fabric brushing against each other, and there was no beam of a flashlight flitting about. The footsteps kept coming. I could see my mounting fear echoed in Joe’s face.
Before we crouched down, we tried to see who was walking towards us and couldn’t. But that was to be expected: it was a moonless night with little ambient light available. With our eyes wide and mouths agape, the footsteps came all the way up to the other side of that half wall and stopped. Joe visibly sagged and I began to shake as neither one of us had the courage to look up at what had to be surely peering down on us.
The footsteps began to recede and we popped up immediately to see who it was. It was nobody…literally no body; we could see where the footsteps were coming from but there wasn’t anybody making them. It was dark but it wasn’t pitch black. We would have seen a person. Ducking behind tombstones, we followed the steps a little ways downhill until they stopped. We took that as our cue to leave. We both sprinted home.
The next day at school we allowed that it was weird and that was that. We didn’t tell anyone and went on with our lives. We weren’t drunk or stoned, been diagnosed with schizophrenia, and our carbon monoxide detectors had fresh batteries. I have no explanation for this and neither do you. The 80s were a magical time and some days contained a little more magic than others. Thanks for reading this to the end.

Welcome everybody to the third SotW of May! This week, we'll be listening to a song that was often used as a powerful opening track for Em's concerts in the Recovery era. Most of you probably know what song I'm talking about. This week's track is 'Won't Back Down', featured as the fourth track on Em's seventh studio album, 'Recovery'.
Upon the release of Recovery, the song received generally positive reviews from music critics, who praised its aggressive nature and production. Although not released as a single, 'Won't Back Down' appeared on four national charts. It was used in the game Call of Duty: Black Ops and its trailer as well as the trailers for the films Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and Hitman: Agent 47.
Along with most of the songs from Recovery, 'Won't Back Down' was recorded at 54 Sound and Effigy Studios in Ferndale, Michigan, with recording carried out by Mike Strange. The song is one of the only Eminem songs not in a 4:4 time signature, along with Untitled (also from Recovery) and Underground (from Relapse).
Originally, the song was set to be a solo record, with Eminem singing the chorus himself. Later, Liz Rodriguez, who is also featured on Recovery's '25 to Life' and 'Almost Famous', recorded the song's chorus. Eminem however, explained in an interview that after recording his vocals for the song, he decided to include Pink on the song as he "felt like she would really smash this record.".
Although 'Won't Back Down' was not released as a single, it charted on four national charts worldwide due to digital sales on the release of Recovery. The song reached its highest position on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 62 on the chart for the week ending of July 10, 2010, although it fell off the chart the following week. The song also charted in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, peaking at number eighty-seven, sixty-five and eighty-two on their respective national charts, although on all three the song again only appeared for one week.
As stated before, upon its release, 'Won't Back Down' received generally positive reviews from most music critics. David Jeffries of Allmusic wrote positively of the song, describing the song as a "lurching heavy metal monster" that "could be used as the lead-in to 'Lose Yourself' on any ego-boosting mixtape", but wrote more critically of the lyrics, denouncing the pop culture jokes featured throughout the song, particularly ones aimed at Michael J. Fox, calling the line "Make like Michael J. Fox in your drawers, playin' with an Etch-A-Sketch" "less effective" than other jokes aimed at him. Steve Jones of USA Today described it as "rock-tinged" and stated that Pink's appearance provides "outside star power".
A remixed version of the ESPN trailer of the game Call of Duty: Black Ops featuring 'Won't Back Down' was released on June 14, prior to the E3 Activision conference for which he also performed. The song was also featured in the game's credits and zombie mode map 'Five' as an easter egg.
Em has performed the song on live sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live accompanied by Lil Wayne and Mr. Porter. Idolator reacted positively to Eminem's performance, stating that he proved "once again what a dynamic and energetic live performer he is on this exceptionally angry tune (even by Slim Shady standards)." He also performed the song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

The Paps was a lonely place to grow up. Alys was born the elder of two daughters to House Elesham’s gallant heir, a man who took every opportunity to leave his windswept island and ingratiate himself with the knights of the Vale. She was only a girl of two when he was slain in a war with the mountain clans. Her mother followed him a few years later, succumbing to one of the many illnesses that routinely arrived by ship.
Alys was left with only the care and company of her extended kin. She was next in line to an absent grandfather, who was usually away at the Eyrie as a councilor of the Arryns. With this great privilege came suffocating expecations, and as a young girl Alys responded poorly to her maester’s strict tutelage and her grandmother’s merciless scolding. Friendships were few and far between, as Alys too often retreated to solitary places with whatever spare time she was given.
During one of his yearly returns home, Lord Elesham was displeased to find his heir a quiet and timid child. He brought both of his granddaughters back with him to the Eyrie, where they were to stay as wards to the Arryns. The highest court of the Vale proved energizing and inspiring to Alys, who had never before seen so much grandeur and culture. She at last began to flourish, finding her confidence even despite the contempt that many of her inland peers had for the peripheral islanders of the Vale.
But her time at the Eyrie also coincided with her grandfather’s cognitive decline. The increasingly senile Lord Elesham was eventually dismissed as a councilor, and he compelled his heirs to return with him to the Paps. After a long stay at the vibrant court of the Eyrie, Alys found life at home all the more dreary.
Throughout her adolescence, she watched as distant kinsmen, petty knights and upjumped merchants all swarmed her lord grandfather like vultures, each exploiting their lord’s senility to their own gain. The passing of his wife left him without trustworthy counsel, and as Alys grew older she hoped that her own influence might bring order to a dysfunctional court. Instead her involvement was flatly rejected by an increasingly irascible grandfather who could hardly still recognize her face.
All she could do was wait for her own time to come. Alys took her studies all the more seriously as she entertained plans for her future, plans that grew more grand with every passing moon. She imagined her home becoming more than an oft-forgotten rock in the sea, and endeavored to see it more productive, prosperous and beautiful than ever before. Politicking began in earnest after she aged into majority, as Alys began courting the favor of every kinsman, courtier and merchant that held any sway over the island.
Not long after her eighteenth nameday, Alys succeeded her grandfather as the Lady of the Paps. Her enthusiasm for her new position was quickly dampened, as the dire state of her holdings suddenly became apparent. Finances were in deficit, the fleet was in disrepair, and ineffective administration hampered the collection of customs and taxes. Before she could embark on her own great ambitions, Alys would first need to save her island from sinking.
The Paps had never been so lonely. For a few years Alys toiled, cooped up in a cramped solar and preoccupied by ledgers and meetings. Gradually she made her holdings solvent again, identifying talented counsel along the way. Her attention at last turned away from home and toward the rest of her kingdom, where she hoped to find both support and reward for her greatest ambitions.

I have been a long time lurker on the thread and thought I would finally post. So, for starters, I come from a low-key powerlifting background. I never got stupid strong but strong enough. The last official program I ran was 5/3/1 BBB which I left with the following numbers roughly (BBSQ-375, DL-485, BP-225, OHP-135). Prior to that program, I also was hiking and rock climbing a lot but stopped both for a variety of life reasons.
Long story short: I was strong but felt terrible - slow, fat, tired, and beat up. Also, I had no energy for my other activities like long mountain hikes. I actually had higher number but felt weaker than ever before.
So, after a week or two off, I jumped into BB. Then, I ran one cycle of operator BUT also added lots of KB movements as accessories (lowered my input numbers and was working at more of a 65% TM). Recently, I had a child, so, I switched to a version of fighter that was even more minimal just due to time constraints.
Now, that I am back in the gym consistently. I am switching to Fighter Bangkok that includes lots of KB movements as well as I realized I love KBs. I want now going forward to run TB more as it is written as I finally have time for it.
Here is the main set up
Fighter template with BBSQ, OHP, WPU, and DL one day a week
HIC - prowler sled sprints
E - LSS runs and mountain hikes
SE - 30 minutes of Double KB Clean and Press into DBKBFSQ ladders (5,4,3,2,1) + 10 minute SE circuit of KB swing + pushups/rows
Finisher after each MS - 100-200 KB snatches
I decreased my BBSQ and DL weights substantially on the inputs to accommodate a higher KB volume and it has so far been working great. I only have 50 and 60 pound KBs so I have been using those for everything
Because I want to focus mainly on conditioning. My plan is the to focus on increasing my finisher number to eventually have it be 200 KB snatches, as well as increasing number of prowler sled sprints, and increasing my LSS (running time).
As a general method of progress, I will do the following: every 3-6 weeks either increase 1. snatch/sled volume/weight 2. E length or 3. lift weight or volume . Then, every 12 weeks I will increase lift weight and re-set my snatch volume back down to 100 reps per finisher and sled weight/volume down to my "base" of 180 extra pounds and 5 forty yard sprints before increasing those again to my new base weights for the lifts.
I am hoping that if I take the weights now a lot slower and focus just on getting my conditioning up, I will shred extra weight, maintain my strength and increase my conditioning. At this point, I just do not see the point of maximizing strength anymore. I will never be a competitive lifter; I don't have the time, will, or body type frankly. I would rather just be relatively strong and have a never ending battery to enjoy outdoor activities.
