 | https://imgur.com/a/7114L0n submitted by Tyrone-E to Colognes [link] [comments] Just picked this up today from the post office, but I went through a small decant this past week. ⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ I use the word "soapy" and "powdery" a lot here. So this is what I would call more of a "blue collar" soapy fragrance because it isn't as fancy as a lot of others I've tried. My holy grail soapy fragrance, Creeds Pure White Cologne, is way too upscale smelling and expensive to wear in my line of work (police officer) or as a daily fragrance in my opinion. I'll reserve that for spring, special occasions. Prada Amber Pour Homme and L'Homme smell like luxury soaps. Theirs a sweet, powdery nature to them that isn't in this one. Prada Infusion d'Iris Cedre and a fragrance like Comme Des Garcon Marieselle are very dry, powdery soapy fragrances with very little sweetness. They smell upscale, but kinda choke me out a little. So they are probably more decant worthy than bottle worthy. Then theirs the greener, earthier "soapy" fragrances like Creeds Original Vetiver, Mugler Cologne, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver or maybe Green Irish Tweed. But this one isn't green, isn't very sweet and while it doesn't smell cheap, it doesn't smell overly expensive or fancy. Think more "Lever 2000" bar soap or "powdered laundry detergent" with this one. Powdered detergent is what the perfumer was going for actually. The inspiration for this fragrance was the workers using a powdered soap to wash their clothes in a canal in Milano, Italy. So again, blue collar, laundry powder is the vibe. It does open with some beautiful bright citruses, but dries down to a powdery, somewhat watery, detergent vibe. It may not be for everyone, but I intend to wear it as an everyday fragrance for work because I don't want to smell like "Cologne guy" at work everyday, just fresh, clean, well groomed and soapy most days. The longevity seems to be around 5 hours, with arms length projection for an hour or so. For the remaining 4 hours or so you get a nice skin scent. It isn't a beast by any means, it's a very personal scent, so you may need to over apply initially or reapply throughout the day (if you feel the need). It's relatively inexpensive at only $140 for a 100ml. I've also seen it on sale for as low as $90, so it's more ideal as a daily wear vs. some other niche fragrances, more in line with designer prices. Presentation is pretty nice too (as shown). Metal, magnetic caps are always a plus. The atomizer is also similar to Dior or Roja Parfums (controllable spray). So theirs my review guys, maybe grab a sample, see what you think of this one. I was wondering if there would be any chance some major DSMP members could be brought back to MCC. I know Phil and Ranboo want a short break, but I haven't heard much about Tubbo, Tommy, Niki, Eret etc. The Dream team (Dream, Georgenotfound, Sapnap, Antfrost) also disappeared without a trace, though some of them have mentioned MCC in their streams.
I was thinking about this because back when the majority of the teams had these people, MCC was booming, with the most profit and most views overall which could be extremely helpful for them coming into this new season (Also I might have been fantasizing a DSMP vs Hermitcraft showdown :D). I was looking for some opinions or maybe further info and was eager to know what the community was thinking about this.

I’ve read through all of the posts on KLM vs Delta, but I would love more input: assuming pricing is equal, which experience would you select? I’m leaning toward wanting to try out KLM’s business class, but I keep reading their food is odd and the seats aren’t all that comfortable. The flight also leaves super late (maybe too late to actually get to enjoy the meal service?) and has a much shorter connection at AMS (I’m continuing on to MPL and am trying to avoid the CDG Olympic madness; otherwise, I’d opt for AF). On the other hand, I haven’t tried out the Delta One Suite yet. Any/all input is very welcome. 😃

I am an American accountant, currently working in Big 4 in the US. I wrapped up my BSc in Accounting in May 2023 and will be starting my MSc in Accounting at Erasmus University in September. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in Accounting and ultimately land a tenure-track role in a research university (this is still TBD, I have interests in industry roles as well).
Part of the reason I chose to complete my masters in Europe was not only the cost, but the quality of the program. Though this may be exclusive to accounting programmes, most masters programmes in accounting in the US are more practical in nature and not research based at all. The masters program at Erasmus places much more emphasis on the development of quantitative/research skills, which I thought may look excellent on PhD applications.
This has ultimately led me to consider studying for my PhD in Europe as well. Would this affect my ability to get a tenure-track position in US academia, should I desire? Would I really be limiting myself to European academia v.s. US industry?
Further, does it matter which region of Europe I pursue a PhD (i.e. is there a eastern vs. western European bias in American academia?)

Some of you asked how I hide my chest so well, so I’m here to share my big boobie gal secrets for ya :) ❤️ My biggest tip is to avoid bras with those huge moulded, padded cups. All they do for me is add volume to my chest.
My holy grail bra is the Celestine bra from Adore M in a 32H for $24!!! I had the luxury of going into one of their stores to try on a couple styles. This bra fits like a SOCK. The cups are stretchy so even when I get period boobs, they still fit. Downside, they’re never in stock and I bully their instagram daily because of it.
Significantly more expensive but so worth it to me is the Chantelle Norah Chic underwire bra in a 32H for $84 :(. BUT girlies I’m telling you, go to Nordstrom, try this one on and your back pain will be GONEEEE. Slight padding for the nips, straps are also padded, and you can hardly feel the elastic on the band.
My go to everyday lounging bra is this $10 Hanes wireless bra in a Medium. Definitely not for long term wear as there’s hardly support but nice when you’re home and don’t wanna wear a wire. Super stretchy, I was shocked when it fit me, I have 4 lol.
Bikinis are my enemy but I found one this year I was really surprised by. TRUST ME HERE!!! This Victoria Secret bikini&cmmmc=PLA--GOOGLE--VSD_VS_Swim_PMAX--&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhOyK_5z8hQMVBZpaBR2MSgZGEAQYASABEgLiNvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) in a 34DDD fits me like a dream!!!! Straps are adjustable and the band is adjustable through some strings. Their bands are quite small, a 34 gave me better side boob coverage. I got it for $30 on sale and the bottoms are cheap too!
For sports bras, this popflex one is incredible! I tried a small and a medium, the fabric is so stretchy- I fit well in both but I like the tighter feel of the small when I’m exercising.
HONORABLE MENTION: since I wear bras with no padding most of the time, nips show through often. These nipple covers are the only ones worth their money. They don’t leave that dumb ring around your nipple under your clothes LMFAO
BONUS TIP: idk about you guys but I get tons of acne on my back and shoulders where my bra sits all day. The Everyday Brightening Body Wash has been the only thing that’s tamed my acne.

In a campaign where I’m playing a redemption paladin and just leveled up to level 7. I’m thinking about taking a level of Hexblade, going back to a level of paladin and take 2 more warlock levels before going back to full paladin. My question is would the dip be worth it for a campaign going up to level 17? So far I’ve played a very support base paladin and I am wondering if the Hexblade levels will help at all with my survivability and overall effect in combat. My current stats are S:16 D:8 C:14 I:10 W:10 C:18. I just got a greataxe that crits on 18-20 and does extra Dmg vs fiends/undead/fey and does a bit of extra damage on a crit. It was a gift given to me by my god before he basically died and it is filled with the souls of the past wielders. So are the levels worth it, even if it means to postpone my third level spells or should I stick with straight redemption paladin?

Vehicle is a 2015 ford escape, auto transmission
176,000 miles, just had an oil change done. Felt like my engine was shaking when I drove it, so I brought it in for engine diagnostics, they said my torque converter is bent and I would need to replace my entire transmission. Cheapest quote l got is $3800 which is still double the value of my car. Engine is fine, brake pads were replaced 1.5 years ago, no other known issues, tires are fine.
My thinking is I drive the car into the dirt while I save for a new vehicle, because I’d rather put $3800 into a new car vs one with almost 200k. I don’t do much driving beyond my commute to work 4x/week which is about 15 miles round trip, groceries, and getting my hair done which is about 30 miles round trip every 6 weeks.
I’m wondering how long I can limp along like this before it fully goes? I’ve noticed the shaking happens less if I don’t accelerate super quickly and maintain my speed with much variability.

- Our sauna is inside the bathroom and all sauna walls are interior.
- The size of the sauna room is 4ft*6ft*7 ft.
- 4th wall is made out of 3/8" glass and faces the interior of the bathroom (2 glass panels and 1 glass door) + pony wall (where the heater is located). Total area of the 4th wall is 6*7 = 42 sq.ft that has glass area 36 sq.ft and 6 sq.ft of a pony wall (covered with cedar and properly insulated as noted below).
- Sauna walls are insulated with mineral wool rigid board of 4" and aluminum vapour barrier.
I looked at several sizing calculators that give different effective sizes:
- Using harvia calculator (with L= 1.82, W=1.12, H=2.13, glass door=yes, area of non insulated walls=3m2), which gives effective size = 10m3, and thus 6kw is underpowered. Not sure if I am double counting by specifying glass door and including it in total non-insulated area.
- brochure from bathingbrands gives: 240q.ft = 4*6*7 + 36sq.ft (non-insulated area)*2 => 6kw is ok
- finnishsaunabuilders calculator seems using the same formula and gives 240q.ft = 4*6*7 + 36sq.ft (non-insulated area)*2 => 6kw is ok
- thesaunaheater calculator: gives also 240 cf for 4*6*7 + 36sq.ft(cold surface) when I choose Harvia option and 340cf if I choose HUUM option.

Hello glorious tech heads. I have questions, oh so many questions, about which bloody tv I should get. Ok let's begin.
I'm from Australia. I want a 4K 55” Smart TV. I don’t watch sport, action movies and I don’t game. I only watch Youtube videos and TV and a movie here and there, and play music but Youtube is where I watch the most content.
The most important thing for me in a tv is honestly input lag/latency. I want to press my remote and the Netflix app pops up in 1ms (I know that’s impossible hahah).
My budget is $1500aud. I want to be able to use my phone as the remote, so would need a tv with Airplay 2 or a cheaper smart tv + an Apple TV. I know if I got an Apple TV technically I wouldn’t need a smart tv but I’ve been told smart tvs are still better. I was told that Apple TVs have a better interface than Airplay but I’m not sure what’s better about it and if those things matter to me. Could always start off with Airplay and buy an Apple TV later if I need it.
I have also been told that purchasing a Samsung/LG at $1000 is actually worse than purchasing a TCL/Hisense at $1000, because for that price, more affordable brands offer better specs than the high-end brands at the same price point.

I'm from Australia. I want a 4K 55” Smart TV. I don’t watch sport, action movies and I don’t game. I only watch Youtube videos and TV and a movie here and there, and play music but Youtube is where I watch the most content.
The most important thing for me in a tv is honestly input lag/latency. I want to press my remote and the Netflix app pops up in 1ms (I know that’s impossible hahah).
My budget is $1500aud. I want to be able to use my phone as the remote, so would need a tv with Airplay 2 or a cheaper smart tv + an Apple TV. I know if I got an Apple TV technically I wouldn’t need a smart tv but I’ve been told smart tvs are still better. I was told that Apple TVs have a better interface than Airplay but I’m not sure what’s better about it and if those things matter to me. Could always start off with Airplay and buy an Apple TV later if I need it.
I have also been told that purchasing a Samsung/LG at $1000 is actually worse than purchasing a TCL/Hisense at $1000, because for that price, more affordable brands offer better specs than the high-end brands at the same price point.
My dream specs if I had it my way:
- 100 hz refresh rate (Youtube videos only go up to 60hz but I’ve been told the difference is still obvious and that I won’t get screen tearing with 100hz since I’m not gaming)
- Lowest possible response time (6-8ms?)
- Lowest possible latency/input lag (approx 9ms give or take?) - but I'm conscious of Auto low latency mode compromising other specs/settings? If ALLM only compromises the fps by a little bit, this shouldn't matter if I have a 100hz refresh rate anyway, right?
- Backlighting shouldn’t matter for the content I watch I’m assuming, but if I could choose I’d choose full array (simply because I’ve heard this is the best haha)
- Good enough contrast ratio for both light and dark environments
- Motion rate 200 (is this correct based on ideal 100Hz refresh rate?)

- Being surrounded by the people/animals I care about. Bonus points if it's in a private outdoor area, cause I love being in nature.
- What is your greatest fear?
- Losing the people that I care about. A secondary one would be not being able to overcome the trauma my parents caused me and becoming like them.
- What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
- My temper or selfishness at times. But also, I have learned I have a tendency to be very hard on myself at times, so idk if the latter one is accurate or something I think I am because I suck at drawing boundaries with others and then feel selfish when I do.
- What is the trait you most deplore in others?
- Knowingly using or stepping on others for your personal gain, especially when there are other options available (ex. knowing your actions are going to hurt other people, animals, the environment, etc. and still choosing to move forward despite it). Also, disregarding other people’s emotions/boundaries.

- I don’t have an answer to this. I don’t really like to put people on a pedestal because humans are fallible and can burn you. Traits that I admire in others though are high empathy, chillness, good sense of humor, loyalty, consistency, open mindedness.

- Not having a fixed budget when I travel (outside of hotel/airfare). Other than that I don’t consider myself to be an extravagant person - I save and spend money responsibly so when I do want to splurge, I have the ability to do so.

- Self-growth - I'm working on trying to overcome the wounds my parents gave me during my childhood and figure out which of my traits are me vs coping mechanisms to the environment I grew up in.

- Using a list of Aristotle’s virtues (cause I needed a list to come up with ideas) - righteous indignation. Imo, stewing in anger most always only leads to more pain and I feel like righteous indignation is often used by a lot of people as justifications to hurt another person which just creates a cycle of hurt. I wouldn't say all righteous anger is bad though, but it is when it's used to punish/hurt others rather than try to change the situation for the better or come to a mutual understanding.
- On what occasion do you lie?
- When the details themselves don’t matter and will require more explaining than they're worth. Or any event that triggers fawning tendencies and I feel like my actual reasoning isn’t an acceptable enough one, so I end up stretching the truth to come up with something that'll seem more “valid” (ex. if someone invites me to do something I don’t want to do, I’ll just lie about having something else going on so I don’t hurt their feelings by telling them the truth).
- What is the quality you most like in a man/woman?
- Loyalty or protectiveness.
- Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
- ‘Interesting’ in response to things or ‘fuck’ when anything mildly inconvenient happens (I swear a lot when I’m alone, but I’m good at censoring myself when others are around).

- At the moment, probably my dog since my ‘people’ issues don’t extend to her and I can see how much she implicitly trusts and loves me which I see as a reflection of the love/care I extend to her. Also, we’re lowkey codependent af and I’d fight anyone to protect her.

- I’m not sure I can come up with a specific ‘when’ but most of my fondest memories are all with my closest friends/family members (my pup included) and us just doing random unplanned small stuff.

- Learning new languages quickly and retaining them with ease. Otherwise painting or pottery would be cool too.
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
- My relationship with my emotions/self and how I react to things, but this is again tied to childhood trauma rather than cognition and I’m currently in the process of working on it.
- What do you consider your greatest achievement?
- Not sure, but probably how quickly I get promoted in most of my jobs. I don’t even consider myself to be that hard of a worker, but most every job I’ve ever had has promoted me quickly and/or told me they’re trying to train me to eventually be put into leadership positions.
- If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
- If we’re talking real life, then probably a panda in one of those panda sanctuaries in China where they don’t have to worry about predators, finding their own food, or anything really. If we’re talking fantasy worlds, then a witch or fantasy protagonist would be cool (think TVD type of witch where you’re a normal person who has earth magic, not one where I have to sell my soul to the devil or anything like that).

- I have a few different places I’d like to live - one would be in the temperate rainforests of the PNW/BC and another would be to retire along the coast of Maine in a lighthouse.

- I don’t consider her a possession, but my most treasured ‘thing’ right now is my dog. In terms of things that I own, idk. I have stuff that I like and feel sentimental towards, but I don’t really get attached to objects the way that I think ‘treasured’ is being used here.

My high school class was primarily babies born 1999-2000 and I feel like we founded gen Z culture. When I entered high school everyone was wearing striped shirts and skinny jeans and all the memes were bacon this and keep calm and carry on.
I remember when me and my friends started making memes we were very used to the format and started getting more surreal with it. We made a huge deal out of Harambe and started nuking and melting our shit. Trump was elected and the parkland shooting happened in high school as well. The grades above us were known as trouble grades and I remember relating a lot more to the grades below me as I entered late high school. When we graduated in 2018 that school was full on Z.
Side note: having been born in 1999 (will be 25 this year) I did not know what a dial up internet connection was and had to have this explained to me recently. I texted my friends all night and was on instagram and YouTube in early middle school. I’d come home from practice and watch Netflix (the UI was very different tho).
I honestly think I see a bigger difference in attitude between me and my older cousins (born ‘94 and ‘92) vs me and my younger cousins (‘07).

I’m a lowly silver, mastery 4 so I’m still very much learning Warwick. I’ve read guides, try to follow a good jungling path, go for ganks (with mixed results) and do objectives fairly reliably. I can usually get an A rating unless we fall apart as a team.
But my last few matches I happened to look at my level vs the other team and/or my own - and I feel like I’m often behind by 2-3 levels.
I’m not actually sure why that would be or if I might be doing something wrong. Thought I’d ask here in case anyone has tips or advice.

Hey guys,
I’m not entirely sure why I feel the need to write this post; I guess it’s some kind of mental catharsis and acceptance of my feelings about Rooster Teeth, Red vs. Blue, and what it all meant to me, and ultimately a personal thank you.
Before I get all emotional, I’d first like to lay down a little history about my love for RvB and Rooster Teeth and what it all meant to me. I first discovered Red vs Blue when I was young, probably too young for the type of jokes being told. The year was late 2004, I was 11 years old and the internet was starting to blow up and become a place of community and not just of information.
It was also a time in my life of change, and of pain. I grew up in a somewhat dysfunctional family – parents always arguing and shouting, then I’d head to school and be constantly bullied and picked on. Life was not great for me at this time and at times I felt suicidal. But when I was feeling low, I had a show and a community I could turn to for laughs and a disconnection. I may have been sad, but hearing and seeing the dumb things the Reds and Blues would get up to – that…that always put a smile on my face, without fail.
Not only that, but seeing what Burnie, Geoff, Matt, Gus and the team created, it had a big impact on myself and my friends to become more creative. Hell, we even made our own dumb derivative machinima show which is – thankfully – no longer on the internet. It wasn’t great, but it was so fun to create and I look back on those memories with glee, joy, and it always puts a smile on my face. That wouldn’t have been possible without the inspiration Rooster Teeth provided.
Rooster Teeth’s content became the backdrop of my teenaged and young adult life – it helped shape me to be the person I am today. Red vs. Blue, Achievement Hunter, Drunk Tank / RT Podcast, 1-800-MAGIC, P.A.N.I.C.S., The Strangerhood (yes, even the Strangerhood!), the shorts, eventually Funhaus and everything else that came after it. Entertainment and escapism for this depressive, struggling man.
And also, it goes without saying, I fucking love you guys – the community. I’ve had my ups and downs with it personally but I’ve never once felt like an outcast or rejected. I felt seen, I felt heard, I felt communal love (bow-chicka-bow-wow!). Being part of the website, and most importantly, being part of this Reddit community has meant a lot. I’ve been with RT so long I saw community members grow to become part of RT, grow and thrive, and it was so beautiful! Gavino (Gav), Blawndee (Barbara), pp Moocow (Caleb), Brownman (Ray), and so on and so on – I’d hate to list them all as I’d inevitably miss someone out! Rooster Teeth allowed so many creative and talented people grow – it really was a community-first company, which was so rare.
None of this hit me properly until I finished watching Red vs. Blue: Restoration and there’s a certain scene around a campfire – it was at that moment, Burnie and Matt essentially slapped me in the face with a giant fish of emotions because I almost broke down crying.
And now, here we are – the end of the line. Game Over. Fin.
I’m not sad because Rooster Teeth is gone – I am happy it existed to begin with and how it saved my life and gave me light in a place of darkness.

Hip-hop/rap being on the decline has been a frequent topic of discussion for the past few years.
Could the defeat of commercial rap's figurehead finally signify an end to hip-hop's reign over the mainstream?
Will the triumph of the conscious-adjacent poet laureate artist signify a resurgence of more conscious underground hip-hop?
The death of XXXtentacion marked the end of the Soundcloud Rap era. Imo Drake's defeat feels like a continuation of that. Trending away from the shallow and blatant hedonism and violence that has dominated much of the mainstream—not for any puritanical reason, but simply due to over-saturation and fatigue.
If hip-hop as a genre begins to trend towards its more conscious and artistic roots, it will also naturally fall from the mainstream.
Of course, a part of me sees this as wholly unrealistic. On the other hand, artists like Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, and Armand Hammer are making some great shit and picking up significant traction.
And I feel like there's only so many songs I can listen to about fucking your bitch in the throat, killing people, and buying expensive shit before getting bored and craving a little more substance. Also, it seems like people are becoming less misogynistic on the whole, and some of the things commonly said in rap just seem to come off grosser as time goes on. Maybe there's something in the air, people might be over that. Just something I'm picking up on
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to sound like an oldhead boomer complaining about mUsIc ThEsE dAyS; there will always be a space and demand for hedonistic bangers. But on the whole, I can't really imagine that these current trends stay exactly the same for another decade or two. At some point, what's popular is going to change. What marks that, and what will it shift to?
Surprisingly, there seems to be a major surge in the popularity of country music. In a way, this was prophesied by the popularity of Corridos Tumbados—artists like Peso Pluma somehow making acoustic music popular among the youth.
It makes sense—we're still in post-pandemic recovery mode in an increasingly isolated world. We yearn for a sense of togetherness and unity. We want tangible, real world connections, and country music's sing-along tracks with real physical instruments taps directly into that need. But ngl, I'm not really rocking w country music. So I hope hip-hop figures out its own answer to that.
Tracks like Kanye's Carnival, with its stadium-anthem chorus feeds into that need for togetherness (s/o Professor Skye for that). The same phenomenon can be observed in places like Japan, where Yuki Chiba's Team Tomodachi is going mega viral (the title means "team friends," it's a banger about hanging out w your buddies lol). Most recently, Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" seems to unify not only the West Coast, but hip-hop fans in general.
All this is to say that there do seem to be certain emerging trends, in conjunction with certain needs people are yearning to fulfill. The latest rap beef between Kendrick and Drake certainly fed into this desire for togetherness, but it also feels like some kind of major shift.
