1. Check dead pixels online: try white black red yellow green grey etc and see if you see stuck(white) or dead(black) pixels
   
2. Check backlight bleed if you own ips and burn in if your screen is oled: Go to backlightbleed website then click on it , black screen will appear. Do it in dark room. You shall see some brighter spots on the top/bottom and corners(hopefully nine has no bb). All ips panels have it, some don't(lucky ones like me). Don't ever try to touch the screen hoping to remove it and remember camera makes it look way worse and in the dark when you change angles, in case you still see the bright spot, that's not ips glow and that's bleed. Don't try to replace the screen, you might get a worse panel so save yourself time and money
   
3. In case you own OLED watch out for burn in. Always hide the taskbar automatically or use an external monitor. Remember, static image will cause burn in and I don't think windows have this pixel refresher feature to get rid of burn in in case you get it
   
4. Always use microfiber cloth(glasses' cloth) to clean the laptop body and deck and screen(have a couple microfiber cloths. Rub it gently, do it in circular motion. In case the screen gets smudges or some dust that doesn't go away by dry microfiber cloth then use distilled water or screen cleaner to clean it( never spray screen cleaner directly onto the screen. Never do that, just damp the cloth, use a damped microfiber cloth first then dry one.(Do it gently) . Never use your T-shirt or toilet paper or tissues to clean. Never ever. That will leave scratches
   
5. Don't open the laptop lid from the corners(always open it gently from the middle)
   
6. Get a good quality bag for your +1500$ laptop. Putting your laptop in a cheap bag will cause wear and tear and scratches( Legion is sensitive to that)
   
7. Never put your Legion on your lap or on bed or blanket. Always put it on laptop stand or cooling pad(never turn off the Legion's built in fans, cooling pad does not cool the ssd so let the fans run on default)
   
8. At first after unboxing, even if you have usb windows 11 ready, you can install it but many drivers such as wireless and sound will he messing(that's a pain in the ass): Best thing is to visit Lenovo website, enter your SN then download the drivers one by one. In case you lack wifi, get the wifi driver on your phone then transfer it to your laptop(that's what I did) or download it on another laptop.
   
9. Don't touch the Legion's deck if your hands are sweaty, you'll destroy the coating(buy external keyboard)
   
10. When you wanna upgrade the ram and m2 slots, make sure you disconnect the battery first then wear gloves. Be cautious: You might fry the motherboard if you don't do that
    
11. Plastic chassis(bottom case) is better than the aluminum one cuz aluminum gets hot. An L for L7 a W for Legion 5
    
12. Check your laptop temperature GPU and CPU while gaming using msi afterburner, in case you see anything unusual contact support
    
13. Install Lenovo vantage or toolkit
    
14. Set the battery to conservation mode on Lenovo vantage in order to increase your battery's lifespan
    
15. Run 3D Mark Time Spy and see if your laptop is below or above average(run it on performance mode)

My game has this issue which make me unable to download any mod not matter how small or insignificant it is cause it would lead to my game CTDing while loading my save , this issue has happens on long running saves which is quite annoying cause i can't download a simple patch or an new armor mod , i tried all the fixies i could think of i have Engine fixes with the memory fix on and im desperate cause it's going on for a while PS : im running 1.5 pre AE version of skyrim

Hello! Rookie here; I'm BlizzardBl4ke 'Blizzie', nice to meet you!
So, heard about BB closing... yet, I have this old gentleman (https://www.gsmarena.com/blackberry_curve_9220-4459.php) and wanted to give it a second life. Bought in 2012, and still works like the first day, or well, not exactly. Since BlackBerry closing, it's impossible to download any app as from BlackBerry world and all of that, but I have a little project in mind. I'd like first to solve the problem of app downloading, for example, could you tell me how to download Whatsapp, Telegram, and such apps or how to get a new app store? Is it possible? If so, I'd like to go ahead and 'revamp' the phone changing the camera and RAM to revalue it and use it as everyday phone. Where or how can I find compatible pieces so I don't make a big mess with firmware? Thank you for your attention and knowledge, I'm literally a newbie in Blackberry and need lots of help. :) I'm staying tuned, thank you again!

There's a minority that uses Linux at UTEP, and Respondus Lockdown Browser doesn't officially support Linux. Here's a tutorial for how to get it installed and working using Wine.
From this point I'll refer to Lockdown Browser as "LB", and Blackboard as "BB".

Step 1: Get a .exe LB installation file.

You have probably noticed that if you try downloading LB from BB it will just tell you that your device is not supported. This is because the LB website checks your OS when you visit it. You can bypass this through one of the following:

• Use a Windows computer (e.g. the ones on campus, a VM, a friend's laptop) to download the installation file.
• Use a method to trick the website into thinking you're using Windows (just Google it, there are multiple resources covering this)

step 2: Install Wine and Winetricks

Use your package manager (e.g. apt for Ubuntu, dnf for Fedora, pacman for Arch, etc.) to install Wine and Winetricks. The package manager is different depending on your Linux distribution; so use the right commands.

Ubuntu

• sudo apt update
• sudo apt install wine
• sudo apt install winetricks

Fedora

• sudo dnf install wine
• sudo dnf install winetricks

Other distros

• Just look up how to install packages :p

step 3: Install LB

Here's something cool: to run any .exe file in Linux after installing Wine, just use wine . Do exactly that, and just follow the instructions as if you're installing a normal Windows program.

step 4: Install required packages

Lockdown browser has a few dependencies to function correctly which are not available on Wine by default.
In Wine, whenever you want to install a Wine package, you use winetricks (which you installed earlier. To install stuff, use winetricks . There are also some libraries that you'll install with your normal Linux package manager.
With that covered, install the following using winetricks: - msftedit - allfonts
and install the following using your normal package manager: - gnutls - note: if you get a network error in the next step, try installing the 32-bit (i686) version as well; a lot of Wine programs run in 32-bit mode

step 5: Start LB

By this stage, LB should be in your list of apps. You can start it by opening it like you would for any other app.
And that's it!
Let me know if something goes wrong. I run Arch, and this is basically the process I followed, but it may be a bit different for your distro.
Disclaimer: I haven't tried taking an exam with the camera and mic on yet. That may require some more packages.

I know I'm not the only one that wants a BB video game. Brantsteele and the Roblox games are nice and all, but it'd be great to get a proper console experience, even in a similar vein to Survivor: Castaway Island from last year. A life simulator mixed with a social strategy game where the player must manage relationships sounds like a fun time.
And as I wait for that to become a reality, I thought I would compile a rundown of every official Big Brother video game that I could find. Let me know if I've missed any, or if there are any good (or bad) knock-offs that deserve a mention. These games are not very popular, therefore the information available is slim (release years vary depending on the source for example), but I have tried my best to compile everything for your convenience -- feel free to elaborate on any of these.
(Preface: A lot of these are called some variation of "Big Brother: The Game", but most are unrelated.)
Big Brother: The Game [PC] (2000, Germany) I can't find a single screenshot or video of this one, but it's Pac-Man. You choose a housemate to play as from the first edition, travel through a maze whilst collecting items and avoiding obstacles, whilst also being pursued by the other rival housemates. Completing levels unlocks clips from the show and biographies for the housemates.
Big Brother: The Game 2 [PC] (2001, Germany) Based on the second edition, you can now do more than play a simple Pac-Man knock-off. There are an additional four mini-games, adding an extra 5 minutes of thrilling gameplay. Like the previous game, there is an online scoreboard and clips from the show to be unlocked. This game also offers commentary from the presenters, Oliver Geissen and Aleksandra Bechtel.
Big Brother: The Game [PC] (2001, UK) A simple and unimpressive mini-game collection that is essentially a re-skin of the 2001 German game. Players can unlock clips from the British version of the show and take control of the housemates from the first season. This version of the game is easily found online as abandonware.
Big Brother: The Game 2 [PC] (2002, UK) Another mini-game collection, this time based on the second British season. This one has been dubbed "the worst game in the universe". I wouldn't go that far, but in no realm can it be considered "good". Some say it is the same as its predecessor, but that is not true. The mini-games are different (not really "better"), and the environments have been totally changed to reflect the new house.
Big Brother Game [Sky Gamestar] (2002, UK) If this even counts, you could play a very basic mini-game on Sky Gamestar where you need to avoid the cameras and capture your other housemates. As it was playable through the online Sky Gamestar service, it is no longer available, but a video of it exists here.
Big Brother Brasil [PC] (2002, Brazil) 3D life simulation game that follows the format of the Brazilian show. Pick an original character and take care of them and their relationships, similar to The Sims franchise. Avoid eviction and win the public vote to win the game. This is one of the better games on this list, but has a very repetitive gameplay loop with very little to do in the first place. This would have been made better with shopping tasks or challenges. Still, this is seemingly the first game that will let you play a full game of Big Brother in an official video game capacity. This game is only in Portuguese.
Grande Fratello - Il Gioco [PlayStation 1/PC] (2003, Italy) This is a playable 2D life simulator that follows the Grande Fratello format. You must stay in the house for 100 days, manage your character, their relationships with other housemates, and how the public view them. You are also able to nominate your other housemates for eviction. This game features the housemates from the first three seasons, and is the first (and as far as I can tell, only) console Big Brother game, and was published by Sony themselves on the PS1. On PS1, the game claims to allow for to 10 players in local multiplayer. It looks pretty fun and seems very faithful to the show, if only I could understand Italian... you can download this game online on the Internet Archive.
Big Brother Brasil 3D Online [PC] (2003, Brazil) What seems to be a cult classic in its homeland, BBB 3D Online is a huge advancement on what was released the previous year. A much deeper game that gives you more customisation over your characters, this game could be played online against others in real time (hence the name). Develop relationships, date, strategise and compete for Head of Household. The developer, Green Land Studios, still seemingly has this available to download this on their website. It can still be played, but the online functionality is no longer in service, and is only in Portuguese.
Casa dos Artistas 3D [PC] (2004, Brazil) Whilst not specifically a Big Brother game, this was also made by Green Land Studios. The format is the same as Big Brother, except this is based on an unlicensed TV show that featured celebrities. This game is also very similar to BBB 3D Online, with tweaks in UI and a new cast of characters to choose from.
Big Brother: The DVD Game [DVD] (2005, UK) Choose from six legendary UK housemates and compete in a Big Brother trivia game. There is a single-player and multiplayer mode (4 players). Narrated by Marcus Bentley. Correct answers get you public votes, wrong answers causes you to lose them. There is not much to say about this one, other than the fact that it does somewhat try to mimmic the show. At the final eviction round, if you are indeed evicted, the game will play a corresponding clip of the housemate leaving the house.
Big Brother: All Stars [Mobile] (2007, USA) Launched by CBS and Artificial Life, this game that was sold for $2.99, does not actually allow players to play the Big Brother game. Instead, this is described as an action game -- you are an intruder, setting up your own cameras in a model of the Big Brother house. The cast of All Stars appear in the game, it is up to you to avoid getting caught. If you are unsuccessful, the houseguests will force you to clean the toilets or wash the dishes until you are ejected. Could not find footage of this one, but this article has some information, including a screenshot.
Big Brother 10 [Mobile] (2009, USA) This one is incredibly illusive, mostly due to the fact that a lot of the links connecting to it have since become unusable. This game is actually made by Konami, and apparently starts at the end of BB10, with the option to go back to the start with generic characters or "past members" as this article describes it. Not sure if they mean just BB10 houseguests or maybe reaching back further. The gameplay seems to be very accurate to the show, with America's Player appearing to be a feature. Dan Gheesling was on a hunt for this one a while ago on Twitter, posting the only screenshot I could find. This thread has leads on where to download it as abandonware, but will require heavy emulation to do so. If you so desire, you could unearth a treasure trove of potential Big Brother lost media. They also charged $2.99 per month for this game.
Big Brother: Cornhole Game [Mobile] (2011, USA) It's a cornhole game. You can play against houseguests from the show, it seems to have updated over the years to include other seasons. This ad for it shows the BB13 cast, but there are screenshots online showing the BB14 cast. There isn't much to this one, it has long been delisted, and the ads for the game really try to sell pausing as a feature.
Big Brother: The Game [Mobile] (2020, Ireland/International) Arguably the most popular attempt at a BB game. An online mobile game that follows the US format. Players from across the world compete to win a real cash prize. Customise your own character, chat with others, complete chores and fight for Head of Household and the Power of Veto. Alliances are encouraged, but not a mechanic: it's all up to you. Games usually take place over a week, with daily times for each event. You can also watch other games occurring in real time, and instead of a jury, anyone can vote for the winner. It was a pretty decent game, but if you have life obligations, it is pretty impossible to stay on top of. Your experience is also very dependent on who you are placed with, I've heard stories of some games being really intense, but I dominated my games due to other players not being into it. It didn't light the world on fire, but it had a small and mighty fanbase on social media. I have seen people meeting up in real life after meeting each other in the game. A third season was announced, but it never began.
Big Brother UK: The Game [Mobile] (2023, UK) An enhanced version of the 2020 game that is exclusive to the United Kingdom. Released to coincide with the 2023 reboot of the British version of the show, this game featured a huge graphical enhancement and new houses to compete in. A lot of the 2020 mobile game was retained, and it continued the real money prize at the end. Despite being for the British show, it still uses the US format.

So one day, I walk up to my 1st period (Math) and I find out our good ol' teacher that taught us math was gone, and in was the worst hag in human existence.One day I asked too many questions (I ain't shit in Math) and he had the AUDACITY to say "You make me puke, boy. One day he told us about a party that we'd have the time of our lives there, and sent us to a FUCKING strip club. A FUCKING STRIP CLUB. This little prick was OK with sendin' us to a strip club full of intoxincated adults, but when we asked one too many questions? It ain't happenin'.
One day in 7th grade (2021), our math teacher got so angry at a little girl (4th grade I think) that he litteraly threw water at her, and called her a kike, 'cause her fam was Jewish. She cried, did the principal do shit? NO. Then he cut the hair of a transgender kid and had them run naked whilst shooting a BB gun at their back. Did the principal do shit? NO. This is the clown England's public education system's turned into, man.
But it all came to a head in 8th grade (2022) when one day this little asshole touched me. I was doing alegbra (good lord who invented that shit?) and he pulled my pants. The little fucker had the audacity to pull my fucking pants down, man. This dick thought he could get away, but oh no. There was a camera at class, and it recorded the entire incident. I managed to sneak in, download the video on my phone, act as if nothing happened, sent the vid to my mother, and the very next day, her & I were at the principal's office.

Ephey and Jenkins are the two front personas of BetBoom Dacha, who set the mood for the entire broadcast of the tournament. The Russian-speaking community rarely gets to experience the talent of an English-language studio, and after this interview you will understand how much we are missing out on. Let me make an authorial digression and say that this was one of the liveliest and easiest interviews of my life - for this pair of showmen, all you have to do is identify the topic, and they will do everything for you..
And if not, then Quinn, sitting next to you during the conversation, will help.
– How do you like Dacha?
Ephey: “Great! I like it better than many of the tournaments I worked at this year. We are both very interested in seeing a new side of Dota. Before that, we only worked on English-language broadcasts and interacted with that part of the community. To see the passion and amount of emotion, love and involvement that the Eastern European side of Dota put into these events was incredible.”

Jenkins: “We haven't had many opportunities to experience the Russian side of things. And here we had such a chance, along with the opportunity to try ourselves as hosts, not analysts, which for both of us is...”
​
Ephey: “Uncomfortable.”
​
Jenkins: "I think the best experiences in life are the ones where if someone asks, 'Do you like it?', you say, 'Well, in a way, yes.' In Riyadh, I was also a presenter, and it was very difficult for me. I compare such events to gym classes. Here, as in the gym, I don't enjoy it, but I love the fact that I'm challenging myself and learning something completely new.
Interact with the Russian-speaking community and be a presenter - I have never done either one or the other. So I feel like I'm growing as a person."

Ephey: “And I would also like to thank the guys from the production, camera operators and sound engineers. I've never worked on a broadcast where people love Dota so much. When we have to film, people crowd around the screens, watch Dota, and they are all delighted. Everyone here loves Dota, and that's great! "
– What is your favorite activity here, besides matches?
Ephey: “I like to sit in the courtyard and watch the games from there, watching everyone have fun. Pasha, our hookah man, was with us.”

Jenkins: “Oooh, Pasha, beast!”
– Did you know that Pasha is just a subscriber of NS? He wrote to someone saying, “Hi, I’m a hookah master! If necessary, I can help."
Jenkins: “He’s not really a hookah master, he just likes hookah. In fact, he is some kind of IT analyst. That is, he simply said: “I love hookah and I heard that you are having a party here. I can be a hookah man here.” And he just ##########[smashes]!
I go up to him and say that I want a hookah. He asks: “Which one do you want?” He always asks if I want warm or cold, spicy, sour or sweet, goes through the whole list. And he is a ######[damn] artist creating a picture.”

Ephey: “He’s definitely very cool. A lot of people here are great. As for activities: to hang out and talk to people we wouldn’t have met without this tournament. So being friendly and talking to people.”
– What is your favorite hookah flavor?
Jenkins: “You tell me, I don’t know.”

Ephey: “I like mint flavors, mint and fruit combinations—strawberry and mint, watermelon and mint, that sort of thing.”
– One of your tricks is to dress alike. Which of you thought of this first?
Ephey: “Yes, this is one of our features. We think it's very funny and cute. It's also a very easy way to immerse people in the show. But I don't remember the first time we did it."
Jenkins: “I don’t remember either, maybe at TI10? We probably started with hairstyles or something like that.”

Ephey: “Basically, we don’t remember when we started. But I think it was my idea. One day Jenkins showed up in the dressing room and I thought how funny it would be if we had the same hairstyles. And from then on it just evolved. We raise the bar at every tournament: we dress the same, wear the same makeup. I feel like people expect it, so we do it at least once at every tournament.”

Jenkins: “It got very out of control. We even wear the same bracelets.”
​
Ephey: “We bought the same shoes for this tournament. I don’t have any bright shoes, so we went to the mall and bought some bright pink shoes to totally immerse ourselves.”
– Which of you chooses what exactly you will wear?
Ephey: “Jenkins chose the clothes for this tournament. But usually, like at Dream League, I did it. But it changes at every tournament.”
– You spend a lot of time with Quinn. Are you friends?

Jenkins: "No."

Ephey: “With Quinn - yes, we adore Quinn. Yesterday we stayed up all night watching Creep 2, a movie on Netflix. We had a great time. I think Quinn is the player most loved by English talent. He is very open, friendly, social."

Jenkins: "And handsome."

Ephey: "He's always fun to hang out with."
- It looks like no one here at the Dacha knows Quinn better than you. What is he like in a tête-à-tête?
Jenkins: “He looks like he doesn't like anyone here. He wears headphones all the time, you need to disturb him while he is wearing headphones. You need to go up to him and poke him, and then he will immediately switch out of that state and start laughing and having fun.”
(Quinn shows Jenkins the middle finger).

Ephey: “Quinn is very friendly when you interact with him. But professional players are here to compete, so they try to get into the right mindset and focus. But if you catch him when he's not playing, he's very friendly and open to conversation."
– Russian-speaking analysts, even if they are former pro players with great achievements, are constantly criticized for their understanding of Dota. Do you feel something similar in the English-speaking community?
Ephey: “Yes. I think flaming people is a natural thing for Dota fans. This is their favorite thing. But overall, I think the ecosystem has improved. People began to listen to analysts more. Jenkins, do you agree?

Jenkins: “I think so, yes. But there is a normal level of toxicity. Aristotle said that the golden mean of two extremes is the greatest virtue. For example, the golden mean between recklessness and cowardice is courage.
(Quinn, who was sitting next to Jenkins, starts laughing with all his might)
Quinn is laughing at me... I'm talking about people arguing about extremes: "there should be no toxicity" or "there should be 100% toxicity, people flame each other , just shut them down,” that kind of shit. I think there is something in between. We are analysts, our job is to entertain. So I think that if people shit on us, it's okay, as long as it's in a fun way, if they're making fun of us.
If we look at basketball broadcasts, I understand that this does not translate to us one-to-one, but if we look at sports broadcasts, the most watched studios are the ones where people are madly flaming each other. And on some level everyone understands that this is all for memes. People who tell players to kill themselves because they lost a bet can go fuck themselves].
But there are other people who say there shouldn't be anger on the internet - open your eyes man, we're supposed to entertain."

Ephey: “We're getting philosophical, but I think the Dota community has always had a tendency to look at the players as well as the analysts and judge them by their latest achievement. You might have a team like the Gaimin Gladiators, who won three majors, who finished below normal in the last tournament. Suddenly everyone starts attacking them. The same goes for analysts.
For example, Fear, who has great achievements. Because he hasn't played for a long time, people are picking on him for making 'bad' takes."
- Speaking of Fear. Some time ago you gave him a fake funeral. Do you agree that it turned out cringy?
Jenkins: “No, I disagree. My friend thought it was a good idea, so it wasn't cringe. Everything your friends do is not cringe.”

Ephey: “It was funny for us because we are great friends. But the cool thing about Dreamleague is that so many talents have different senses of humor, and we are given a platform to express that. For some people it was cringe, but we all laughed. With humor you either get it right or you don’t.”

Jenkins: “I thought he really died, so it wasn't cringy at all. I was sure he was dead. This is an old weak man, fragile.”
– Who are you rooting for?
Ephey: “On TI 'llI support Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators. These are my two favorite teams right now. Team Spirit is my favorite team of all time. Gladiators are my friends, but Spirit played at Animajor, my first Dota tournament, and I covered a lot of their games. Therefore, this is the team that took off with me. Their management is very kind, they always communicate with me kindly and give me merch. They have a beautiful story and the way Yatoro played at the Riyadh Masters was inspiring. His determination was evident in every game. Things like that get you emotional, so I'm rooting for them.

Jenkins: “I want Spotify to win because I downloaded their app a couple of weeks ago. There you can create different playlists. I have one for moments when I'm sad, there's just a rap for the audience, UK Drill. I'm rooting for them because with the money they will make their platform even better."
– Will we ever see Arkosh Gaming in action again?
Jenkins: “We’ll see, there are plans.”
– Did you really sweat and play for win in Arkosh?
Jenkins: "No, never!"
– You once conducted a photo shoot in Goth style for a Dota client. Question for both: have you ever been a member of this or another subculture?
Ephey: “I've never been to Arkosh, but at school I was a very goth. I always hid my face in hair, I always wore big military boots and makeup like a raccoon, I only listened to metal. I also acted like I was better than everyone else, just because I thought it was cool. But, fortunately, I grew out of it.”
Jenkins: “I looked like a virgin in high school. There are other nicknames that people have given me, I can’t say such things.”
– Ephey, you once said that you installed dating apps, swiped four people and felt bad. Do you still use them?
Ephey: “It was terrible. I'm trying to date again, I don't have much experience with dating apps. On the first day, I accidentally swiped people and felt really bad because I had to delete pairs with them. I deleted these apps, it's too hard. Meeting people in real life is the best.
– Why do we even need dating apps? You wrote that it was hard for you to look for people outside of Dota.
Ephey: “I like to think of Dota as my professional side of life. And I try to separate my professional life from my personal life. I wouldn't feel comfortable dating someone from the ecosystem unless we got along too well. If not, I'd rather keep the two things separate. I already told Jenkins about this: in Dota, people can only like you based on how they see you on the broadcast. But they don't know what kind of person you are. I like to meet people who don't know anything about Dota and see if they like my personality. It's a more genuine relationship."
Jenkins: “Same thing. When people meet me, it's only because of my look. So I want to know if they like my personality. They say to me: “You have big sexy calves.” My eyes are higher, buddy. Especially Quinn - every time he has his headphones on, he looks straight at my calves like I don't notice."
– If there was a show match at BB Dacha, what would you like to see?
Ephey: “I would like to see a player draft. Two captains are chosen from among all the players in the tournament, but you cannot take your own teammates. We'll see who they want to play with the most and who no one will take.
Jenkins: I'm thinking about the ###### [damn] brawl. Each team sends out a player and everyone gets their butt kicked by Puppey. At the end, Puppey stands on a mountain of nerd corpses – it’s just ####### [beautiful].”
- I'm trying to think of someone who could clash with Puppey.
Jenkins: “It must be someone crazy like Ramses. It has to be someone who will do something ###### [very] crazy.”

Ephey: “I imagine him running at Puppey with brass knuckles.”

Jenkins: “Hit you in the eyes and groin straight away.”
– Now I will ask questions where there will be two answer options. Let's start with Jenkins. Ephey or Sheever? And why?
Jenkins: “These are two of my best friends in the Dota scene. Difficult choice. Ephey."
– Ephey, Jenkins or Slacks?
Jenkins: “It's much easier! Slacks won't be offended."

Ephey: “Jenkins! He is my best friend. We work together, hang out together, know each other's personal lives and stories, know each other's families. It's a slightly different friendship than with others."
- Okay, let's complicate it. Which one is the best showman?
Ephey: "Slacks."

Jenkins: "It was still easy."

Ephey: "Slacks has been doing this all his life, he has a special ability to disarm players and force them to open up."

Jenkins: “He's the best. I don't even think it's respectful to put my name in the same sentence as Slacks. He's the best in history. There are such people, you become friends, and then you see how he works and you understand - he is a genius. I am constantly impressed by his ideas. I don't know how public this is, but there are a lot of companies that pay him a lot of money just to come up with ideas for them. You put him in a room, he comes up with 100 ideas, 90 of them are complete crap, but 10 are amazing, divine ideas that change the world. He just shits gold. He is unique. A genius who loves to play an idiot."
– Jenkins, poutine or shashlik?
Jenkins: “Second, because poutine is too overrated. And it's crap. Tastes like cigarette filters with gravy.”
Ephey, dark chocolate with mint or hookah with dark chocolate and mint flavour?
Ephey: “Dark chocolate with mint is my favorite.”
– BetBoom Dacha or Summit?
Ephey: “I have never been to the Summits. Sounds complicated. But from a viewer's perspective, there's something special about the Summit because it happened during the early days of Dota, before there was a healthy ecosystem. It looked like a bunch of guys trying to make something out of nothing. It always has a special place in my heart.”
– What do you think about the abolition of the DPC?
Ephey: “I think there are pros and cons. But mostly I feel like it's good."

Jenkins: “What can I say to avoid getting fired...? I think it's great. I've met with Valve about non-DPC stuff, and I can say that there are a ton of very passionate people there, a ton of good developers. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional, and his head is in his own ass.
I tried to make a game with mechanics like in Dota, but outside of Dota, in Unity. In Dota, when you turn the hero model to press a spell, the model's legs move before the arms. Even here there is physics. And there are a lot of such small interactions.”
Since Quinn is here, I’ll ask a question: on Shaker, you press Fissure, while it is being cast, you press Totem and Echo. What will come first?

Quinn: "Totem."

Jenkins: "Wrong. Echo Slam will be first. These little details have been honed over the years. You can go play any game that looks like Dota, but it will feel crude and you won't even understand why. Such things are understood instinctively.
Valve has brilliant developers. They say: we don't care about DPC, we are not a broadcasting company. We don't care about the Battle Pass, we make a lot of money from Steam. Creating monetization system is tedious - I speak as someone who works in games. But companies do it because they need to pay developers salaries. But they [Valve] don't need it, they have Steam.
If this means that Valve will spend all their time on patches, which seems to be true due to recent patches and blogs. They do fun things. Making games should be fun because that reflects in the game. That's why many people say that Dota is now in one of the best states of all time. And there are many companies, like ESL, whose passion is broadcasting and tournaments. Let them do it. And Valve loves game development - let them do it.
So for me this is clearly a positive. But I have questions about the way it’s executed.”

Ephey: “The question of how next year will go is up in the air. But we won't know until Valve makes a statement. The DPC system stifled the competitive scene: players and tournament organizers had to build schedules around it. There is absolutely no time in the year for third-party tournaments. Fitting a tournament into your schedule is like running an obstacle course. If that leaves room for creativity and lots of good tournaments, that's great.
But there are several disadvantages. I think there are many people whose lives depended on DPC. Second division players who had dreams of getting into the first division. I don’t know how they can break through and make a name. One of the good things that came out of the DPC, despite the schedule choke, was the emergence of teams like Quest. Or Team Tickles, who came out of the second division and have now become the Gaimin Gladiators - a product of the DPC second division system. I'm curious how the new pro players will make a name for themselves. And there are many second division casters who depended on DPC to make money. These are the things that stress me out, but overall I like it.”

Hello,
I am currently looking at multiple devices and can't decide which router to buy. The use case is to provide an internet connection for the WiFi cameras at my construction site

1. It needs to have LTE but it doesn't have to be integrated, a compatible LTE stick would do too
2. (IMPORTANT) It needs good WiFi coverage for security cameras (mostly for notifications only, no need to download or stream all the time)
3. Power efficient. It needs to be able to be powered by a power bank for 24h to 48h.
4. (Optional) Good WireGuard performance so the cameras can connect securely to my home

I have looked at the Beryl AX and Slate AX but maybe the Opal is already enough. I can't see the difference in my use case.
I think all the LTE modems like Puli or Mudi aren't capable of providing good enough WiFi coverage but you can prove me wrong.
Or I would also consider something like the Flint if it has better WiFi coverage and maybe can cover the whole site (~900m² / ~9700 square feet). The only problem is that the source of power is moving a lot so it would be easier to just change a power bank once per day and I don't think you can power the Flint with a power bank.

PS: The other option would be to buy LTE cameras but they only support LTE so I wouldn't have a need for them anymore once the construction is finished. But the WiFi cameras I can continue to use at the finished house and a travel router could become handy too.
