Karen says I am blocking her car and acting tough with my "prison tattoos"
2024.05.16 16:59 Disastrous-Farm-542 Karen says I am blocking her car and acting tough with my "prison tattoos"
I was walking through the parking lot after doing some grocery shopping. I stepped to side out of the parking lot traffic flow to tie my shoe. Next thing I know this crazy lady comes speed walking to me huffing and puffing . She starts screaming that my car is blocking her and she can't get out. I said "Not it isn't...:" She cuts me off mid sentence screaming I am illegally detaining her and it's false imprisonment. So I just went with it. "No, im not, i am not blocking you in" She rambled for a bit , pulled out her cellphone and of course starts a video. "Look at you, you probably live in your car, living off of welfare on tax payers money acting tough, you must have been in jail for something with that prison tattoo, all dirty looking. Filthy criminal. Move the car now so I can leave!" I just said in a calm voice "I can't" She screams incoherently and calls the cops. The cops come to the scene and she screams "That filthy criminal won't let me leave, he is right there the one with the prison tattoo." An officer walks up to me and asks me why I wont move the car for her. I said "Officer, I cant move it because it's not my car. I don't drive , never have. I also showed him my tattoo. It is a tattoo of a purple ribbon that says Epilepsy Survivor. I told the officer "Some people say they suffer from epilepsy, I say I survive it. I just finished a 7 hour shift working at that coney island . I just wanted to stop and tie my shoe and this bat shit crazy woman comes at me verbally abusing me all while she records it." The crazy Karen went white as a ghost. The officer asked me why I didn't tell her that it wasnt my car." I told the officer that she wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise. The officer said I was free to go "We are going to have a nice little chat, have a good day," A week later the officer came into the restaurant for lunch, I said hello and we talked for a bit and the officer tells me that he ran her tags after, no insurance and a suspended license." I just said "it figures"

2024.05.16 16:46 ducklife Duck Life 9: The Flock - Full game release on Steam
Hello
pcgaming,
I started working on the Duck Life series when I was 14 years old, and since then, I've successfully launched 8 chapters of the series. After almost 2 years of hard work, I have finally released my most ambitious project to date! As a small indie studio, we could not have accomplished this monumental achievement without the support of our fans and beta testers. The Duck Life series has been a labour of love for us here at Wix, so thank you for hopefully coming along on this adventure with me!
Duck Life 9: The Flock is a game where ducks are still finding new ways to do what they do best - honing their skills and racing their way to the top! This chapter takes the fundamentals of the older games, where you raise a duckling to become a racing champion, while also a boatload of new features - the main one being the ability to cultivate a larger collection of ducks and build them a snug little home on Featherhaven Island. You’ll still find an array of training games (which the franchise is famous for) and mini-games to progress through, but this time, it’s taking place in a much more ambitious 3D space, with farming, fishing, fashion, and more.
Launch Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZ_DfFFdo_4 Steam store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2416880/Duck_Life_9_The_Flock/ Our Discord community: https://discord.gg/xXVcMYC5xe Key features - Plucky Polygons - 3D Graphics: Duck Life 9 is now in THREE DIMENSIONS! We can finally stand shoulder-to-shoulder with many other popular games that we’ve considered an inspiration in the past, and racing your ducks can now be enjoyed the way it was intended all those years ago.
- Cultural Exchange - New Animal Friends: Duck Life finally has more than just ducks! Duck Life 9 now has a cast of over 15 new characters, each with their own way to help contribute to your flock. Don’t be shy, they don’t bite! (Apart from Tyler the Tiger).
- It’s Honest Work - Farming: Over the course of your adventure, you’ll be picking up various seeds that you can plant in your village to grow Juicespruce, Duckroot, Dazeradish, and more…Given the right tools and a little bit of patience, you’ll never run out of provisions again!
- Community of Cuties - Build Your Village: Expand your flock and make it your own! - it’s the name of the game :D. After you uncover the full expanse of The Flock’s area, then you can really start to get your SimCity juices flowing and build some delightful ducky neighbourhoods.
- Talk the Talk - Conversational Ducks: In Duck Life 9, you won’t have to stare silently into the middle of the discussion anymore. Now, you can talk back! You can even steer the discussion as you see fit, with multiple response options when talking to your island chums.
So right off the bat, the game already has dozens of hours of content. We have a tight knit and flourishing community over at the Discord, so come join us! I'm always there hanging out, taking feedback, and discussing the game.

Vivid, brave and propulsive, Vuong's poems contend with personal loss, the meaning of family, and the value of joy in a perennially fractured American spirit. The author of the critically acclaimed poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds, winner of the 2016 Whiting Award, the 2017 T. S. Eliot Prize and a 2019 MacArthur fellow, Vuong writes directly to our humanity without losing sight of the current moment. 2024.05.16 15:56 DoinkusGames My Tiers of new Duo Boons.
SPOILER
Glorious Disaster: D/A
On it's own, it does kinda average damage and siphons away your Magic too fast to really hurt anything so without anything to supplement it, D.
If you have Born Gain however, it's damage gets a pretty big spike as all you need to di is channel and kite and do free damage.
Apocalyptic Storm: B/S
Giving Blitz effects more reliable AoE is helpful. This isn't giving any sort of raw damage burst so this is more a range buff.
It becomes particularly nasty however if you pair it with Romantic Spark however.
Thermal Dynamics: D/S++
So, by itself just giving things scorch is kinda useless and doesn't do much. If you have the other Scorch buffs, might be a little better.
The only way this becomes truly worth taking is if you already happen to have Scalding Vapor.
Killer Current: C
This is fairly niche. If you have all the right boons it can do nutty DPS but without that combination of boons, it doesn't do anything so it's kind in the middle for me.
Master Conductor: A
A solid, reliable Duo that always gives you great DPS and AOE buff. IT doesn't require much of anything to become strong the moment you get it and only becomes better with hammers and other boons.
Romantic Spark: C
If you're running a Sprint Build or Get Apoc Storm, can be really good. Otherwise, is too situational and risky to be effective.
Kings Ransom: A
Very, Very strong and will only get stronger depending on how you rolled your balance of boons. Multiple levels into Blitz and lightning boons makes clearing rooms fairly easy.
Funeral Pyre: D/
Usually, pretty useless. it's just not effective enough to matter compared to the other ways to apply Scorch.
Spiteful Strength: D
It's honestly better just to get a Heroic Flutter Strike/Flourish with some levels than this.
Cherished Heirloom: F
The If Possible basically means if you maxed it to level 3, this Duo Boon does nothing. Yup.
Soul Mate: C
Hitch's main power point was the ability to link the whole room so limiting to two really is more of a nerf than anything. Makes this worse for encounters but stronger for Guardians and feels weird for it.
Golden Rule: B/S
Ah yes, I smack you with my wallet has returned. If you're stockpiling Gold, it's tier goes up. Otherwise, it's occasional extra damage.
Queens Ransom: God-tier
So, this is probably single handedly the strongest overall Duo. For a couple reasons.
One, it's buffing Hera's Boons, which are Monstrous. It can reduce the Prime of Born Gain to 1 (I haven't gotten it to 0 quite yet or know if it can but even 1 is dumb if you have triple-digit magic)
3 levels per Zeus boon is insane power when you think of some of Hera's boons that buffs.
Nasty Comeback - Something Tickles you and it dies. Engagement Ring - Something spawns and it dies. Keen Intuition - Turns omega Engagement ring into a nuke
More importantly though, there is Family Trade, which lets you swap your Attack/Special/Cast/Sprint for one that's higher rarity and has bonus levels.
These bonus levels are applied after to the bonus levels you already have from Queen's Ransom.
So you can get a Heroic max level Flutter Strike/Volcanic Flourish/Wave Flourish/Solar Ring/Breaker Sprint/Smithy Sprint
Island Getaway: God
Damage reduction is helpful. The main thing is the 'nearby' mechanic. This lets range weapons cheese Flutter Flourish builds. Especially the Staff.
Good god this just do gross DPS to guardians with Double Moonshot.
Natural Selection: S
More Boons, higher hammer chances. Need I say more?
Seismic Hammer: D
The other Hephaestus Boons you can at least upgrade to lower their CDs.
Beach Ball: D
Maybe for a normal Boon 150 base is okay damage but if I'm sprinting around aiming this thing and it only tickles things, it's not worth it.
Scalding Vapor: S/God
One of the best Damage sets in the game and if you compile it with other boons, it only gets stronger.
This however, becomes truly God tier when you pair it with Hitch Sprint.
By running around and linking everyone together you steambath, you can clear most rooms rapidly.
Torrential Downpour: A/God
This By itself, empowering Cast builds is very strong.
However, this becomes the untouchable Sunshine God build if you pair it with Born Gain and Local Climate.
Putting these two together turns you into a solar nuke that melts anything that gets near you with infinite magic.
Room Temperature: B/S
Normally, this makes it so you can stack more Freeze.
However, if you have higher enough levels in Heroic Volcanic Strike, you can can reduce the CD to one second.
Combining that with the ax lets you CC lock entire rooms without a care. IF Guardians could be Stunlocked by Freeze, this would be the strongest Duo in the game.
Freezer Burn: C
Meh? More Scorch is alright. Because it's also freeze, it makes it more viable than other Scorch setups but also, still can't reliably freeze Guardians, which is the main thing Scorch struggles on.
Hearty Appetite: C/A
The 'I slap you with my HP' Duo.
This is okay for some extra damage, and becomes fairly strong if you build into it.
Phoenix Skin: A
If you have the HP to sink into it, it's the only source of Regen in the game and it's fairly reliable.
Sunny Disposition: C
If the Heart Throbs just rotated a little further out, I'd consider this okay. It's kinda average otherwise.
Stellar Slam: C
Helps in clearing rooms but no extra damage in a Duo Boon is kind of a letdown.
Soft Caress: B
Another proc of ignoring damage for Guardians is always valuable.
Burning Desire: F
Pretty useless. Relies on there actually being Shades around and even then, the damage is pretty low per.
For how uncommon Shades are, the damage on this should be much higher.
Chain Reaction: B
More procs on Volcanic triggers is decent, the only issue is this particular Duo is very inconsistent. As Written, B. But currently doesn't function that way atm.

2024.05.16 15:54 whothiswhodat Suggestions on my SG itinerary
Hi All, I'll be visiting SG from
8-15 June with my wife from India.
I have been to SG about 5-6 years ago, and absolutely loved the country! So I wanted my wife to visit as well. Last time I was there just for 4 days, which went by pretty quickly in Universal, Sentosa, Orchard, & CBD.
But this time, I have a few more days. Please check my itinerary and suggest what can I change, add, or remove? I will be staying close to Little India. Traveling mostly by MRT, on foot, or via Grab when needed.
- 8 - Land, Check-in, Local sightseeing
- 9 - CBD (Merlion, Marina Sands/Casino/Observation Deck, Gardens by The Bay)
- 10 - Universal Studios

2024.05.16 15:50 Lord910 Poland and Two Left Hands (Dwie Lewe Ręce) - New Left in Poland
Hey people,
That's my first post here so hopefully I dont break any rules (yes i checked them). Hopefully it does not count as a promotion.
I wanted to share with you leftist political activism happening in Poland in last year. Just over a bit year ago new political podcast was created, its name is Dwie Lewe Ręce - DLR (Two Left Hands in English). It was created by two men: Marcin Giełzak and Jakub Dymek.
Who Are the Creators?
Marcin Giełzak: A writer, publicist, entrepreneur, and labor market expert, Marcin is known for his fearless approach to political discussions (also a nerd when it comes to France). Former member of left-wing Razem (Together) party.
Jakub Dymek: A journalist and columnist, Jakub is unafraid to engage in debates with various political factions, including the previous right-wing national-conservative government (Law and Justice Party) in their state controlled national TV station.
Despite being around for just over a year, DLR has made a impressive progress. Their Patronite campaign recently crossed 1,000 active supporters, bringing in around 45,100 PLN ($11,485) monthly.
I've been part of the Dwie Lewe Ręce (DLR) community for over a year now and wanted to share what makes it so special. If you're into Polish politics or just looking for fresh leftist perspectives, you might find DLR as interesting as I do.
A little bit of political history of Poland:
DLR was born out of frustration with the lack of a true leftist voice in Poland. The former communist party turned into SLD (Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej, eng: Democratic Left Alliance) and embraced neo-liberal ideas, becoming indistinguishable from their liberal opposition. Meanwhile, the actual neo-liberals from PO (Platforma Obywatelska, eng: Civic Platform) were notorious for their austerity measures post-2008 financial crisis, which hit the common folk hard despite the Polish economy being a "Green Island." This paved the way for the populist national-conservative party Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PIS, eng: Law and Justice) to win in 2015. They implemented significant welfare measures but also abused the rule of law and implemented almost a total ban of abortion in 2020.
The left in Poland hasn't fared well recently. SLD fell from a peak of 47% in 2001 to just 7.55% in 2015, leading to a four-year absence from parliament (coalitions need over 8% to enter parliament). They've rebranded as Lewica but only managed to get 8.6% in the 2023 parliamentary elections and 6.32% in the April 2024 elections to local councils. If this trend continues, they might disappear or be absorbed by KO (former PO, eng: Civic Coalition), which has started to adopt progressive ideas (but still supports neo-liberal policies).
DLR aims to prevent the total disappearance of leftism in Poland. Clubs are popping up all over the country, where young people from various political backgrounds debate and cooperate to promote community, solidarity, and healthy patriotism. It's refreshing to see these discussions happen outside the "Vampire Castle" in which progressive left closed themselves in.
Unfortunetly is mainly aimed at Polish viewers, but you can check out their interview with Catherine Liu about the Professional–managerial class (PMC) which is in English.
Hopefully you found this Polish leftist trivia interesting.
Please leave a comment if you are interested to know more.

2024.05.16 15:32 Malc1f3r Bloody Heaven ! BL STORY ! -------Chapter 1- It's still impossible.
A story of a boy immersed in deep despair. Zein has been living alone for quite a long time. He was abused when he was young and his body, filled with scars. He is emotionally sensitive and has a bad temper. As he continues his depressing life, he meets a young man two years younger than him, Rain. His life began to change. He started feeling emotions that he had never felt before, happiness, belongingness, and love. Is Rain the light he needed to finally realize his worth?
Zein, a 21 year old, living in a dark apartment all by himself. He's now in college and is currently working as a part-time in a small mini mart.
Mini mart bell rings
"Welcome, please pick whatever you like and pay up" Zein's deep rusty voice greeted the customer. His gloomy emotion seems to be affecting the customer. "Do you have a box of cigars?" The customer asked. "Sorry but we ran out this morning. We're still restocking" Zein replied. "Seriously? Why build a mini mart when you can't sell what customers want?". The tone of the customer suddenly changed. "How about you get the fuck out of here before I cut your throat open" Zein glared at the customer which exited the building angrily. "I hate this shitty life".
Zein's shift finally ended and he went back to his apartment. His neighbors could feel the dark aura emitting from the room. "What are you weirdos looking at?!" Zein glared at the neighbors like how he glared at the customer. He entered his apartment and went to the kitchen to grab a knife. He pop open a box of cigarettes and started smoking while slowly cutting shallow cuts on his wrist. He has been doing this for a while. "Ugh!" Zein groans looking at the bathroom mirror.
Crash!
He threw the knife at the mirror breaking it to a million pieces. He hated his appearance. He was filled with scars. He had red eyes and slightly edged teeth. His hair was soft but rustled. He was tall with white pale skin. Many people would mistakenly think of him as a goth. At school, girl would flock around him asking him for something or sometimes even confessions. He always got confused how he got these confessions even with his appearance.
The morning came and he started to change to his uniform. He started his bike and went to school. He could answer any question at school but he is really a bad tempered person. On a specific event, he shouted at a teacher which gave him detention. His grades were always high but one specific subject, Moral, was always low. Well, it's obvious why.
Ring
The school bell rang which means class was about to begin. Their teacher, Mr. Ordoniez entered the classroom with a new student with him. "Class, before we start off, we have a new exchange student from Tokyo." The class was filled with murmurs as most of them haven't went to Tokyo yet. It's a seven hour ride from Ishikawa to Tokyo. "Quiet class. Sir Hakari, please introduce yourself." The teacher signalled the student to go in the middle of the classroom. He was slightly short with light and soft skin. His eyes were orange and brown, it looked like ambers in the sun. He had medium brown hair that we're a but curly but also tidy. He looked around the classroom and started to introduce himself smiling. "Good morning everyone. I'm Hakari Rain. I'm here as an exchange student. My parents work at the Kori.corp nearby so I requested to be an exchange student here instead. Nice to meet all of you and I hope you would take care of me" Rain's soft voice brightened the room and his smile lit up everyone's faces. "Ok Sir Hakari, please sit beside..." The teacher paused searching for an empty seat. "Beside Sir Iwatani." The teacher pointed the seat beside Zein. Everybody was shocked as they know Zein's behavior. His bad temper might spill out again. "Sir, why does he have to sit beside me. He can move his chair somewhere else you know" Zein was surprisingly calm about this but still, his glare darkened the room. "Ok, if you wish. Sir Hakari, you can move you chair anywhere you like." Rain dragged his chair away from Zein and he stole a glimpse of him. "Your eyes are so pretty" Rain accidentally said those words out loud. He blushed out of embarrassment as Zein glared at him. The room went silent as everyone looked at Rain blushing. "SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN IT". Rain apologized and hurriedly sat on his seat. The class continued and he could see Zein sleeping during class. "Psst, psst." Zein looked up to see who was calling him. "PSSST!!" Zein looked at Rain calling him. "What do you want?" The teacher suddenly went silent and called Rain. "Mr Hakari, you seem to already know this since you're talking something that isn't connected to my topic so I'll ask you a question. What is the capital of the Philippines which I mentioned while discussing?" Rain went silent thinking about the answer "Manil-" Rain was about to say his answer when Zein interrupted. "Manila sir" Rain looked at Zein saying the correct answer before him. "Hey! That was my question" Rain pouted as he looked at Zein angrily. "Maybe because I'm better than you" Zein smirked. "EXCUSE ME? Sir, please another question". Rain demanded. "Ok? What is the most famous mountain here in Japan"? The teacher asked "MOUNT FUJI!" Rain shouted his answer. "Guess I am the better one heh" Rain smiled proudly and Zein's smirk slowly faded. "Another one sir" Zein demanded next. "Ok? What continent does Japan belong to?". "Asia of course." Zein immediately replied. Rain's face could be seen and he looked very annoyed. Both of them kept demanding more questions until the class finished and in the end, Zein answered the most questions while Rain was one point behind.
Ring
The bell rang signalling everyone to go to lunch. "Who's better little mouse?" Zein smirked and went out to lunch. "This isn't over." Rain whispered to himself and sat down at his table. Zein exited the classroom and everyone started to crowd around Rain. "Wow you're so smart! I can't believe you stood up to Zein like that!" A student excitedly complimented Rain. "What's with Zein anyway? He's not that bad." Everyone went silent. "He's feared by everyone because of his bad temper. Rumor has it that he killed a student once" Another student replied. "Pfft that's just rumors. Turns out that student transferred to another school." A blue haired boy abruptly gave info about the rumors. "Hey there! I'm Nikko. Can we be friends?" Nikko went all out to greet Rain and it seemed a bit overwhelming. "Oh? Not much if a talker? Don't worry it's ok!" Nikko smiled and patted Rain's head.
-Zein's POV-
Heh. He thought he could answer more questions than me. Pathetic. I've been going over and over to that class for two years. I know the questions and the answers. Even if I don't study, I can answer any question. He was very competitive. I like it.

2024.05.16 15:26 Sweet-Count2557 When Should You Go On A Babymoon?
| When Should You Go On A Babymoon? So, you're expecting a little bundle of joy and thinking about going on a babymoon? You might be wondering when is the right time to plan this special trip. After all, pregnancy can come with its fair share of discomforts and challenges. But fear not! We're here to help you navigate through this exciting journey. Some may argue that any time during your pregnancy is suitable for a babymoon, but we believe the second trimester is the ideal window. It's a period when most pregnant women feel their best - morning sickness has likely subsided, energy levels are up, and you're not yet burdened by the additional weight gain. In this article, we will answer the question When Should You Go On A Babymoon? The short answer is the second trimester is optimal, we will cover also how to choose the perfect destination, tips for planning a relaxing getaway, activities to consider during your trip, and safety precautions you should take. So sit back, relax (if that's even possible), and let us guide you toward an unforgettable babymoon experience. Key Takeaways The second trimester is considered the ideal time to go on a babymoon. Going on a babymoon allows for prioritizing self-care and focusing on the relationship with the partner. Babymoon can have health benefits for both the mother and the baby, reducing stress and promoting a healthier pregnancy. When planning a babymoon, it is important to consider timing, destination, and budgeting for a stress-free experience. Benefits of Going on a Babymoon You should definitely go on a babymoon because it's a wonderful opportunity to relax and bond with your partner before your little one arrives! One of the most important aspects of pregnancy is taking care of yourself, both physically and mentally. Going on a babymoon allows you to prioritize self-care by taking a break from the stresses of everyday life and focusing solely on yourself and your relationship. During pregnancy, it can be easy to get caught up in all the preparations for the baby's arrival. However, it's crucial to also nurture your relationship with your partner. Going on a babymoon gives you dedicated time together, away from distractions and responsibilities. This uninterrupted bonding time allows you to reconnect as a couple, strengthening your emotional connection before becoming parents. In addition to self-care and bonding, going on a babymoon can also have numerous health benefits for both you and your baby. Studies have shown that stress during pregnancy can affect fetal development, so taking time off to relax can help promote a healthier pregnancy. Furthermore, stress reduction has been linked to better birth outcomes and lower rates of postpartum depression. Overall, going on a babymoon is not just about enjoying some well-deserved relaxation; it's also an important part of preparing for parenthood by prioritizing self-care and strengthening your partnership. So take advantage of this precious time together before the arrival of your little one and create lasting memories that will carry you through the journey ahead. Second Trimester: The Ideal Time for a Babymoon The second trimester offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in a relaxing babymoon. During this time, you're likely to have more energy and fewer pregnancy discomforts compared to the first and third trimesters. It's an ideal time for romantic getaways and spending quality time with your partner before your little one arrives. Here are three reasons why the second trimester is considered the ideal time for a babymoon: Reduced travel restrictions: Many airlines and cruise lines have restrictions on pregnant women traveling during their third trimester. By planning your babymoon during the second trimester, you can avoid any potential travel complications and enjoy your trip worry-free. Increased comfort: As your baby bump grows bigger in the third trimester, it may become uncomfortable to sit or walk for long periods of time. The second trimester allows you to fully enjoy activities such as sightseeing, hiking, or even just lounging by the pool without feeling too restricted. Emotional well-being: Pregnancy hormones can sometimes lead to mood swings and heightened emotions. Going on a babymoon during the second trimester can be beneficial for both you and your partner as it provides an opportunity to relax, connect, and strengthen your bond before entering parenthood. So take advantage of this wonderful stage of pregnancy and plan a memorable babymoon that will create lasting memories for both of you! Choosing the Perfect Babymoon Destination Imagine jetting off to a dreamy, faraway destination where you can bask in luxury and tranquility, all while nurturing your growing connection as expectant parents. Choosing the perfect babymoon destination is crucial to creating precious memories before your little one arrives. Here are some top babymoon destinations that will cater to your needs. Bora Bora: This idyllic island in French Polynesia offers breathtaking turquoise waters, overwater bungalows, and pristine beaches. It's a paradise for relaxation and rejuvenation. Santorini: Known for its stunning sunsets and white-washed buildings, this Greek island provides a romantic setting for babymoons. Explore ancient ruins or simply lounge by the pool overlooking the Aegean Sea. Bali: With its lush landscapes and serene temples, Bali is an oasis of tranquility. Indulge in luxurious spa treatments or take leisurely walks along scenic rice terraces. If you're looking for budget-friendly options, consider domestic destinations such as Sedona or Napa Valley in the US, or Tulum in Mexico. These locations offer beautiful scenery, cozy accommodations, and affordable dining options. When it comes to planning your babymoon, remember to check travel restrictions due to COVID-19 and consult with your healthcare provider regarding any safety concerns during pregnancy. Enjoy this special time together and create lasting memories before embarking on the joyous journey of parenthood! Tips for Planning a Relaxing Babymoon Jetting off to a serene destination for your babymoon can be made even more relaxing by following these helpful planning tips. Planning a babymoon involves several considerations to ensure a stress-free and enjoyable experience. Here are three important things to keep in mind when planning your trip: Timing: It is recommended to go on a babymoon during the second trimester of pregnancy when you are likely to feel more comfortable and have higher energy levels. This will also allow you to avoid any potential complications that may arise later in pregnancy. Destination: Choose a destination that offers relaxation and tranquility. Look for places with beautiful scenery, peaceful beaches, or luxurious spa resorts where you can unwind and pamper yourself before the arrival of your little one. Budgeting Tips: Set a realistic budget for your babymoon and stick to it. Consider all expenses including accommodation, transportation, meals, activities, and any additional costs such as prenatal massages or special treatments. Research deals and discounts available at your chosen destination, and consider traveling during off-peak seasons to save money. By considering these planning considerations and budgeting tips, you can ensure that your babymoon is a memorable and rejuvenating experience before embarking on the exciting journey of parenthood. Activities to Consider on Your Babymoon Consider incorporating activities such as prenatal yoga, scenic walks, and couples massages to enhance relaxation during your babymoon. These activities can provide a wonderful opportunity for you and your partner to bond and enjoy some quality time together before the arrival of your little one. If you're looking for a beach retreat, consider spending lazy days lounging on the sandy shores, soaking up the sun, and taking gentle dips in the ocean. The calming sound of waves crashing against the shore can create a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Additionally, outdoor adventures like hiking or biking through scenic trails can offer a great way to connect with nature while getting some exercise. Attending prenatal yoga classes is also highly recommended during your babymoon. Not only does it help improve flexibility and strength, but it also promotes mindfulness and stress relief. You'll learn techniques that can be beneficial during pregnancy and labor. Lastly, don't forget to indulge in couples' massages. These luxurious treatments not only help alleviate any physical discomfort but also serve as an intimate experience shared between you and your partner. Overall, incorporating these activities into your babymoon will ensure a memorable experience filled with relaxation and connection with both each other and nature. Safety Precautions to Take During Your Babymoon Taking necessary safety precautions is essential for a worry-free and enjoyable babymoon experience. When planning your babymoon, one of the first things you should consider is travel insurance. It provides coverage for unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost baggage. Having travel insurance will give you peace of mind knowing that you are protected in case anything goes wrong. Another important aspect to consider is the accessibility of medical facilities at your destination. Make sure there are adequate healthcare services available nearby in case of any pregnancy-related emergencies. Research hospitals or clinics that specialize in maternity care and find out their proximity to your accommodation. It's also crucial to check with your healthcare provider before embarking on your babymoon regarding any specific health concerns or restrictions you may have during pregnancy. They can offer valuable advice and ensure that you are fit to travel. Additionally, be mindful of activities and destinations that may pose risks during pregnancy. Avoid extreme sports, strenuous activities, or areas with high altitudes or disease outbreaks. By taking these safety precautions into consideration, you can relax and enjoy your babymoon without unnecessary worries about unforeseen circumstances or potential health issues. Frequently Asked Questions How long should a babymoon typically last? Looking for the perfect babymoon? Well, the ideal duration for a babymoon typically lasts anywhere from three to five days. This allows you enough time to relax and unwind before your little one arrives without feeling rushed. Optimal timing for a babymoon is usually during the second trimester when you're past the morning sickness phase and still comfortable enough to travel. So go ahead, plan that well-deserved getaway and enjoy some quality time with your partner before parenthood begins. Can I go on a babymoon if I have complications during pregnancy? If you have complications during pregnancy, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider before planning a babymoon. They will be able to assess your individual situation and provide guidance on whether it is safe for you to travel. While some women with complications may still be able to go on a babymoon, others may need to consider alternative options such as staycations or local getaways that are closer to medical facilities. Always prioritize your health and safety during this special time. Is it necessary to consult with my healthcare provider before going on a babymoon? Consultation with your healthcare provider before going on a babymoon is crucial. It ensures that you are aware of any potential health risks and can take necessary precautions. Your healthcare provider will have the most accurate information about your specific situation and can provide guidance tailored to your needs. 2024.05.16 14:54 Lost-Taro-348 Good mobile game suggestions?
Looking for good mobile game suggestions that aren't riddled with unnecessary ads and don't want pixelated graphics (so please no Stardew valley suggestions unless I'm totally missing out on it?)
Currently pregnant and find it very uncomfortable and tiring to play my pc and playstation games, so I'm looking for something I can casually play lying down.
Games I like: Sims, Coral island (wish that was on mobile) Rpgs like skyrim, dragon age, dragons dogma, fallout etc Conan exhiles
Fallout shelter was nice, anything similar and as good?
Looking for something where I can create a character and have my own little house or farm or shop or run a cafe etc and just chill and decorate and do quests or open world game where I can build my own base

I did the siren skull for briggsy with my little sister yesterday and it was so FUN.
The fear of scouting for hidden ships in the fog, trying to hide the first blue beacon and then when you open the chest and your ship LIGHTS UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. Finding ways to sail to keep in the wind most of the times and staying away from other ships by hiding in the rocks.
Legging it to briggsy on the island whilst dodging skellies and any other player and then realising that Google lied and it wasn't 50k you got, it was 75k!!
I only get to play with her online as we live in different countries but man the fun we get from this game. Apparently earlier lil bro had come across cheaters (could hit you with a sword from the other end of the ship, invulnerable, magic cannons kind of cheater) and so she wasn't sure she wanted to play much, but I suggested just taking it chill, doing some fighting of skelliebutts which she enjoys, but that quest man.
We played until 3am her time because it was just so fun.

2024.05.16 14:14 Imaginary_Zobi Base building & location questions
| https://preview.redd.it/63j894d03s0d1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9f17e6e14abad640d7579192c643d8db24ba6b5e https://preview.redd.it/7ot2z2d03s0d1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4d3b9e879e8a387c5503413947a11af0c69f717 I am relatively new to the game, and thus have a ton of problems and questions, feel free to answer to any of them and give your suggestions - In the pictures is my current base. I started it few years back, stopped playing, and now returned. I am proud of the house itself, but as I have learned more of the game I have grown to dislike the location. I would like my base to be closer to shore for easier ship access, and on flatter land for easier expansion and building. Also my starter Island is really small and empty, and I hate having to hau everything not found in meadows or black forests from such a long distance. The whole map feels somehow really uninspiring for whatever reason, I feel like I got bad luck with the world gen and woul maybe enjoy playing on a different seed more. Also there is a stupid rune stone down the hill near the shore where I would otherwise build a dock for my soon-to-be build longship
- If I were to abandon this as my main base, or alltogether, should I:
a) find a new location in the same world, that is closer to more biomes (swamp, mountain and plains), and build a new base there now that I can also build with stone. b) start a completely new world with a new character on a preselected seed with a good base location c) start a new world with the same charactedump materials to a new character from the old, so I can keep some progression and get to building a new and improved base instantly without having to grind for tools - Raid proofing. I also feel like my current base would be really inconvenient to raid proof due to it not being coastal and being on a slope, which I fear would make moats or walls look weird or stupid. One more reason why I consider switching base location or world. I get that I could just fight the raids but I really like the idea of having a safe little fortress to defend and care for
- completely unrelated question, can one rename existing worlds, I don't seem to find an option to do so??
Sorry for this post being such a mess lol submitted by Imaginary_Zobi to valheim [link] [comments] |

im looking to have fun games with people that are chill and fun and people that aint always tryharding or being toxic. could be fun to try stuff like a full team or yordles or shadow islands? or stupid stuff like full supports or something, or we can just play normals games where can pick whatever you want or do arams i dont mind, just wanna have fun and get to know new people.
i play tft every set since start to current so looking for a friend/s to play tft together, can be hyperroll, double up, normals or ranked and potentionally friend/s to play with when new set comes out pbe in future.
i do wanna try make some actual friends and get to know people, of course im realistic and can't expect to get along with everyone straight away or instantly click but if your gonna instantly remove me after one game for me playing bad or dont like the way i talk in vc or whatever reason, then please dont bother messaging me. i wanna spend time with peeps that will make an effort.
if do decide to message and play with me, it doesnt matter what rank you are, can be iron or masters it will not matter or change how i think towards you, just wanna make friends and have some fun games hopefully.
would prefer if you peeps add me on discord or send me your disc in dms as its easier to message me to play or ask me to come on or easier for me to ask you guys, would also be good to voice call if felt comfortable enough to do that, but if don't straight away or at all thats also fine.

Our babymoon was an incredible experience and one we'll always remember fondly. submitted by Sweet-Count2557 to worldkidstravel [link] [comments] |
2024.05.16 12:57 Defiant-Apple-2007 The Future is Wild Remaster: Mediterranean Salt Flats
As Europe is going through a new Ice Age, Giblartar is closed down again, like during the Messinian event. this state causes Mediterranean Sea to dry out, and become a huge salt desert. On it, islands that once were in the Mediterranean were formed as unique places, that life can evolve. Water is rare, and has a huge salinity problem. Array of interesting creatures live here
Cryptile
Ancestor: Some type of Agamas
Size: 68 cm
A Few Southern Europe living Agamas adapted to the salt flats. Cryptile, like the Frilled Lizard of Australia has a frill. Hovewer Cryptile frills are extremely Sticky. These are an adaptation to catch swarms of Brine Flies. They have limited their need to drink, they take their moisture from Brine Flies. They are extremely fast, much faster than Tundra Lizards. They also weigh very little. that makes them not worthy for predators to catch. Predators prefer to eat their eggs. Except Giant Brine Adders, which ambush them, and deliver them a dose of venom.
Gryken
Ancestor: Pine Marten
Size: 30 cm ( Height ), 80 cm ( Lenght )
Gryken is a interesting predator. descending from Pine Martens, it's a predator which uses the islands to it's advantage. it doesn't need to drink that often. It mainly Feeds on Scrofas, Cryptile eggs, and sometimes Vulture Eages. It can always be a prey to Giant Brine Adder. It's an ambush predator mainly ambushing prey in grykes. they are solitary hunters.
Scrofa
Ancestor: Wild Boar
Size: 50 cm ( Height ), 1 m ( Lenght )
Scrofas, like Boartitans are descendants of Wild Boars, and just like them, they are omnivorous. They evolved to be smaller, need to drink less water, and eat less food, and their hooves to be pointer . Scrofas mainly are eaten by Grykens. Their main sources of food are plants. hovewer it won't hesitate to eat a cryptile egg, or a carcass
Vulture Eagle
Ancestor: White-Tailed Eagle
Wingspan: 1 meter
White eagles aren't the only descendants of White-Tailed Eagle. These lost their white tail for full yellow feathering, except for the bald head. they are scavengers, even tho they may eat a cryptile's egg. They lay eggs on large cliffs. They may be a prey for Gryken, or Giant Brine Adder
Saltwandering Stork
Decendant: White Stork
Wingspan: 2 Meters
Saltwandering Stork, descendant of a White Stork wanders through the salt flats. It mainly feeds on small saltwater plankton, and Brine Flies Larvae. It doesn't have to fear a gryken, but a bite from a Giant Brine Adder can finish off this beautiful bird. It can drink salt water, but it doesn't need to do this very often
Giant Brine Adder
Ancestor: Common European Adder
Lenght: 3,5 Meters
Giant Brine Adders are apex predators of this Salt Desert. Their ancestors are Common European Adder. They mainly eat Cryptiles, their Eggs and Vulture Eagles. They can eat a Gryken or a Scrofa. They can extend their mouths to swallow these large animals. they are venomous, with their venom they could kill a horse, if it still existed. they prefer to eat smaller prey, but they still rule the Salt Flats. They don't need to fear any predator. they don't need to drink, because they get the moisture it needs from it's prey

2024.05.16 12:54 JunebugSeven Rec Request: Town Builder with Villagers
I don't know how to articulate this well, so apologies. I have a Steam Deck, Switch, and PS5, would prefer something I can play handheld though.
I'm looking for a cosy kind of town buildeant farm. A lot of the cosy town builders I see are things like Dorfromantik, which are just creating buildings or shapes, but I'm looking for a town builder with villagers I can watch (like an ant farm).
I've been seeing a lot of Fabledom lately, and I think I want something in that vein, but I've been hearing a lot that even after the 1.0 release there's just not a lot of game there. I want something I can really dig into, or watch play out for a long time.
I've enjoyed The Wandering Village (but again, the villagers themselves don't have any identities, don't marry/die/have kids). I also find a lot of Kairosoft games scratch this itch (especially Dream House Days or Dream Town Island), but they're quite limited.
Are there any other games you can recommend that have a chill town building vibe, but also lets me watch the villagers and see all the little unfoldings of their lives? 😅

2024.05.16 12:47 RollToReview Five Fast Reviews: Fireball Island, Beyond the Sun, Wyrmspan and more!
| Hi all, People tell me I write too much about board games. Well, if that's a crime, lock me up and throw away the key! But they also tell me no one wants to read my long, drawn-out reviews. So here is the tl:dr of the last five games I've reviewed on my website Roll to Review. https://preview.redd.it/qvxbvsdbpr0d1.jpg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=daf9877600bf5c624064a25378593008a4837c67 Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar Fireball Island is one of the most photogenic board games ever created. It combines three painted plastic pieces together to create an island that rises up from your table. Atop this island, the intimidating volcano temple of Vul-Kar sits ready to spit fireballs and ruin your day. You play as an idiot tourist who must take three snapshots from around the island and escape before it explodes. Truly, influencer culture has gone too far. On your turn, you move around the island board by playing movement cards. As you move, and pass treasure spaces, you pick up treasure tokens that award victory points at the end of the game. Once you finish moving, you then carry out the card’s ability. This can be flicking marbles at other players, rotating the mountain and palm trees around the island, or cause a Cataclysm. This latter ability is one of the most fun moments of board gaming. You get to drop marbles into Vul-Kar and watch them roll down the island knocking any player standing in their path. It’s an explosion of noise, anticipation, and excitement that only lasts a second. But it’s exhilarating nonetheless. Now, the fun of Fireball Island comes from its chaotic nature. Yes, the Cataclysms are a great example of this. But the game is full of risky moments that get you excited. Where I struggled with the game is that it's too random that it felt like nothing matter. Despite giving you strategic opportunities about how you wanted to move, or what treasures to collect. These choices didn't matter as much as how many fireballs you took to the face. Whether you pioneered a route around the island. Or if you drew the right cards. Rating: 2/5 https://preview.redd.it/u926sgxdpr0d1.jpg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1afbef73e81f27240d50422cc9758d4cd08fe00f Beyond the Sun Reach for the stars is how you held people up in Wild West, but it's also the premise behind Beyond the Sun. A game where players work together to push humanity into the future. It's a worker placement game and, more to the point, a technology tree game. You spend most turns researching new technologies or gathering payment for new technologies. These provide immediate bonuses, and additional worker action spaces for future turns. This part of the game is fantastic. There's a thrill of uncovering new technologies. Especially when the further you progress up the tree, the more powerful they become. It creates an engine-building feeling but on a much larger scale. Now, the other part of the game, is to the side of the technology tree. A small space board that resembles a haphazardly put together granny flat only built to earn a little extra rent. However, don’t let appearances fool you, it’s here you can take control of planets and colonise them. Compared to the technology tree, as well as area-control games in general, this space action felt flat. At best it’s basic, at worst it was distracting. Leaving my gaming group wanting something more, or something better, from an otherwise excellent game. Rating: 3/5 https://preview.redd.it/uy00u6dhpr0d1.jpg?width=668&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=642cde888766d3ce6b00ed78b98a5d95e6e176b4 Sky Team Sky Team is the two-player cooperative game of landing an airplane and shooting daggers at your partner. Each round you take turns placing dice around a cockpit. Together you'll deploy flaps, extend the landing gears, change the plane speed and more. With so much going on, it's hard to keep it all straight in your head. Harder still when you can't communicate with your co-pilot. It was a lot of fun, and a bit stressful in some of the more difficult scenarios. That's right, Sky Team is a scenario driven game! With a surprising amount of variation. Even after playing 12 scenarios we were still discovering new mechanics. Sky Team lost a couple points with me and my wife with the between round conversation. There wasn't a lot to strategise or communicate. Something we both enjoy from our cooperative board games. Otherwise, it's a 10-20 minute blast and gets two thumbs up from me. Rating: 4/5 https://preview.redd.it/a91z7l2kpr0d1.jpg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44bd89c6638fde3088ca9944fbacb8f0d6f6cced Archeos Society Finally! It's the Ethnos remake we've all been waiting for. With a new theme, art, and components. I couldn't wait for this to be my next favourite game. A quick recap for those who haven't played Ethnos. You're drawing cards from a market to form and play sets of cards. A set can either be cards of all the same type, or all the same colour. When you play a set you get points, an ability, and get to establish control in one of the regions on the board. Ethnos is an excellent game, and highly recommended. Archeos Society, on the other hand, is proof of the monkey paw's existence. Yes, I got my wish of a refreshed version of one of my favourites. Except it came with rule changes that I'm not so hot about. Unfortunately, with Archeos Society they gutted the area control portion of the Ethnos. Now instead of battling for regional control, you're moving up different tracks. Removing the tension, interaction between players, and dynamic gameplay from the original. As a consolation, each of the tracks offers more complex ways to score points. Making it perfect for those who hate confrontation, and not so great for me. Rating: 3/5 https://preview.redd.it/r74v2enmpr0d1.jpg?width=840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1456105a2432dbc69e28b60c4d4ffe9f88a501f Wyrmspan Disclaimer: VR Distribution provided me a copy for an honest review. Wyrmspan has been out for months now. I've reviewed it. Yet somehow, it still feels like a hallucination. Like I'm dreaming there's a game out there exactly like Wingspan, except with dragons. But I'm not dreaming. ...And there have been quite a few changes from the original bird-based board game. It roughly follows the same format of collecting winged-creatures to fill three habitats. Only this time, you're dealing with caves. With each cave requiring excavation before a dragon can make it their home. When you're not excavating or collecting dragons, you'll spend your turn spelunking. Moving a meeple through your caves, activating one dragon’s abilities at a time. Gaining resources and visiting the Dragon Guild so you can afford more caves and dragons. The change from birds to dragons sent me into shock. Part of the appeal of Wingspan is seeing all the feathered little freaks that inhabit our planet. Wyrmspan is missing that appeal and while the art is beautiful it doesn't measure up. Gameplay-wise the three rows of Wyrmspan are connected tighter than the original. You can no longer get away with ignoring a row or two without hamstringing your strategy. Additionally, it felt there was a higher variance in dragon-strength. When combined with the tiny market (only 3 cards!) it felt like some players got an unfair advantage due to what dragons were available. Finally, while there's more player interaction than Wingspan. There isn't as much as Wingspan plus the Oceania Expansion. As a result, once you fall behind, you're behind for good. That said, the combo building of Wyrmspan is fantastic. The resource management puzzle is also a treat, as you are always on the lookout for your next payday. So despite its flaws, which will put some people off, I enjoyed Wyrmspan a lot. Rating: 4/5 --- That's a wrap! If you enjoyed this, you can find more long-form reviews at Roll to Review. Where you will also find news, polls, and other board game related writing. Otherwise, which game was I the most wrong about? submitted by RollToReview to boardgames [link] [comments] |
2024.05.16 12:45 DisasterNo2138 Horrific nightmare
I can’t remember the entire dream as there was a lot of different mini plots and places (most of my dreams are like this). What I do remember is the end. I was with a group of 3 others, and we were playing some game. There was not tv or video game controllers, we were just “in” the game. My character within this game was only a silhouette of a basic fantasy-type archer. I hit one of the others with an attack, and the game went silent and still. In the game, my archers bow was hovering in the air in front of my character, the string touching the person I had attacked. My character held a Chain, one end in each hand, and was rubbing the Chain horizontally across the vertical string of the bow, as if he was starting a fire. The rubbing was very stocatto, and after the 5th or 6th rub there was the sound of numerous people performing one distinct clap of their hands.
I was instantly in the kitchen of my old family home, about 10 ft away from the sink. I was now me, and not my video game character, but I had the bow with me. I saw the silhouhette of a tiny human, probably 3-4 inches tall, run out of my bow and to the kitchen sink area, where the other three people were standing. I was amused by the little guy, and asked the other three if they saw it (it’s worth mentioning that I didn’t question the instant teleportation from the game world or the fact that I had a bow with me now), but the remained silent. I heard a creaking sound, and approached the sink to see why they weren’t replying and what the sound was. I saw the guy I had done that weird attack to in the game with a bow in his hands, holding it in the sink. He was tying it with string, which is what the creaking sound was, and just staring at it. He seemed robotic, and I was instantly aware that I had caused this by doing that attack in the game. I couldn’t see his eyes or the two people next to him, who were also frozen and staring at his work. It was silent and completely still with the exception of the bow string creaking as it was tightened. I began to get frustrated, and slightly concerned, so I gave him a light shove on the shoulder. What happened next was genuinely horrific and I’m still getting chills retyping it. He instantly dropped the bow in the sink and turned to me, and there was something terrifying about his eyes. They weren’t all black, but the pupils were definitely bigger than normal. They were also extremely shiny. I don’t know if any of you have seen the movie bird box, but the peoples eyes from that movie are the closest thing I can compare this too, although they’re still very different. I know this probably doesn’t sound scary, but believe me when I say that seeing these eyes was one of the most genuinely horrific things I’ve ever experienced. They were wide open, and I instantly backed away in shock. I instinctively put the kitchen island between myself and him, and he continued to absolutely stare into my soul (this is honestly what it felt like) as he matched my path of movement, but on the other side. As he stared into me, unblinking, I got the overwhelming sense that he hated me, and that I had done something to him that was causing immense torture. I opened my mouth to scream, but barely anything came out. Fight or flight kicked in and I raised the bow in my hands to hit him, but my arms barely worked. I just stood there for another moment, screaming so hard it felt like my head would explode, as his eyes peered into my own. I then woke up, feeling like I had been screaming in real life, and laid there absolutely frozen with horror for a good 5 minutes or so.
Edit: if any of you have seen mullholland drive, it all felt VERY similar to that one scene with the homeless guy.
Once again, I know it doesn’t sound that scary, but something about this dream was different than any dream I’ve ever had. Lately, I keep having these horrible nightmares that cause me to wake up feeling like I can’t breath or even gasping for aishouting out for help. This nightmare felt like the ones that usually cause those things, but it didn’t this time. Anybody else have nightmares like that?
